फुटाळ्यावर क्षुल्लक कारणावरून तरुणींमध्ये हाणामारी

नागपूर : एकमेकांना बघून हसण्याच्या कारणावरून फुटाळा तलाव चौपाटीवर २ तरुण-तरुणींच्या ग्रुपमध्ये हाणामारी झाली. या हाणामारीचा व्हिडिओ सध्या सोशल मीडियावर जोरदार व्हायरल होत आहे. शुल्लक कारणावरून झालेल्या हाणामारीमुळे चौपटी परिसरातील लोकांचे मात्र, चांगलेच मनोरंजन झालेले पाहायला मिळाले.

युथ डेस्टिनेशन म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणाऱ्या फुटाळा तलाव चौपाटीवर ७ फेब्रुवारीला तरुण-तरुणींचा एक ग्रुप बसला होता. यावेळी तिथे दुसरा ग्रुप आला. दुसऱ्या ग्रुपची लोक आपल्याकडे बघून हसत आहेत. या कारणावरून २ तरुणींमध्ये वाद झाला. वादामुळे तरुणींमध्ये भर चौपाटीवर हाणामारी सुरू झाली. यावेळी उपस्थितांनी मध्यस्थी करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. मात्र, तरुणी कोणचेच काही ऐकत नव्हत्या. तरुणी एकमेकांना अर्वाच्य आणि अश्लील शिवीगाळ करत होत्या. यामुळे प्रत्यक्षदर्शींनी पोलीस कंट्रोल रूमला या बद्दल माहिती दिली आणि अंबाझरी पोलिसांनी येऊन हा वाद मिटविला.

अंबाझरी पोलिसांनी मारहाणीचे घटनास्थळ गिट्टीखदान पोलीस ठाण्यांतर्गत येत असल्याने तरुण-तरुणींना गिट्टीखदान पोलिसांच्या सुपूर्द केले. चौकशीत दोन्ही गटांची ओळख पटल्यानंतर घटनेत सहभागी असलेल्या तरुण-तरुणींना पालकांसह पोलीस स्टेशनमध्ये बोलावून समज देण्यात आली. या प्रकरणी पोलिसांनी अदखलपात्र गुन्हाची नोंद केली आहे.

MLA Milind Mane dedicates green gyms to public

Nagpur : Green gyms in Prabhag 1, 2, 6 and 9 in North Nagpur Assembly constituency were dedicated to public by MLA Dr Milind Mane in separate programmes held in the respective areas on Monday. An amount of Rs 56 lakh was sanctioned for the purpose in North Nagpur Assembly constituency. BJP North Nagpur Circle President Dilip Gaur, along with corporators Mahendra Dhanvijay and Ms Sushma Chaudhary graced the occasion.

The works dedicated to public include a playground in Tirupati Nagar, green gymnasiums at Koradi Road, Zulelal Sports Complex near WCL office, Snehdeep Colony Nara Road, Samyak Nagar, Dhammapal Garden Nari Road, Kapil Nagar, Khalsa Ground, Baba Budhaji Nagar and Bezon Bag Community Hall.

प्रेयसीच्या साक्षगंधात प्रियकराचा धिंगाणा

नागपूर : दोन वर्षांच्या प्रेमसंबंधानंतर लग्नाच्या आणाभाका घेतल्यानंतर अन्य युवकाशी लग्न करणाऱ्या प्रेयसीच्या साक्षगंधाच्या कार्यक्रमात प्रियकराने धिंगाणा घातला. भावी पतीच्या गळ्यातील हार-तुरे तोडून धुलाई करीत जिवे मारण्याची धमकी दिली. मुलीचा भाऊ आणि आईवडिलांनी मध्यस्थी केली असता त्यांनाही मारहाण केली. हा थरार रविवारी रात्री आठ वाजता जरीपटक्‍यात घडला. या घटनेची आज सोशल मीडियावर चांगलीच चर्चा होती.

पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, जरीपटक्‍यातील २७ वर्षीय युवती मलायका (बदललेले नाव) हिचे आरोपी पुनित एकनाथ राऊत (वय ३०, चटर्जी लेआउट, जरीपटका) याच्यासोबत गेल्या दोन वर्षांपासून प्रेमसंबंध होते. दोघांनीही प्रेमाच्या आणाभाका घेत लग्न करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. दोघांच्या प्रेमसंबंधाला पुनितच्या आईवडिलांचा होकार होकार होता. मात्र, मलायकाच्या कुटुंबीयांना मान्य नव्हते. त्यामुळे मलायकाच्या कुटुंबीयांनी तिचे लग्न अन्य युवकाशी करून देण्याचे ठरविले. आईवडिलांच्या इच्छेपुढे मलायकाने हार मानत लग्नास तयार झाली. रविवारी रात्री आठ वाजता जरीपटक्‍यात मलायकाच्या साक्षगंधाचा कार्यक्रम सुरू होता.

पुनित राऊत आणि त्याचे नातेवाइकाने मलायकाच्या साक्षगंधाच्या कार्यक्रमात फिल्मीस्टाईल एन्ट्री मारली. त्याने ‘हम बने..तुम बने..एकदुजे के लिए’ म्हणत भर कार्यक्रमात स्टेजवरून मलायकाला खाली खेचले. तिच्या भावी पतीला खाली खेचून बदडण्यास सुरुवात केली. त्याच्या अंगातील कपडे फाडून लग्नास तयार झाल्यास जिवे मारण्याची धमकी दिली.

पुनित राऊत व त्याच्या तीन भावंडांनी साक्षगंधाच्या कार्यक्रमात तोडफोड केली. हार-तुरे फेकून दिले तर जेवणाची भांडी आणि स्टेजची तोडफोड केली. मुलीकडील नातेवाइकांना धमकी देऊन पळवून लावले तर मुलांकडील मंडळीने लागलीच पळ काढला. या प्रकरणाची तक्रार जरीपटक्‍यात करण्यात आली. पोलिसांनी पुनितसह चौघांवर गुन्हे दाखल केले.

Road inside Central Jail premises likely to be inaugurated next week

Nagpur : Improving connectivity of Ajni Railway station and major areas of South and South West Nagpur, citizens will have one more big road in their service in few weeks from now. The road inside Central Jail premises between Rahate Colony Square to Ajni Railway station is in completion stage. The road is likely to be inaugurated on February 22. This will provide a huge relief to the citizens, presently, they have to take a long round through Ajni Square or from Congress Nagar road. The metro rail is also passing through this road. Entire area is vacant and has lush green cover on both sides and this will make it a very sought after road patch by vehicle riders.

Maha Metro has constructed the new development plan road of 1 kilometer inside the jail premises. This is a 30 meter wide road having storm water drain, median and foothpath. The civic body is erecting street lights for the safety of commuters using this road. The road will have compound wall on both sides. Mahesh Kumar, Director of Maha Metro said, “We are asphalting the road from Rahate Colony to Ajni Railway Station. This will be useful for the passengers alighting or boarding train at Ajni Railway station.”

It may be mentioned that as per the directions of Maharashtra Government, the Central Prison has allowed outer portion of its land for the construction of Metro Rail. Earlier, the Maha Metro had planned to lay railway track in front of Ramkrishna Math Ashram. However, after stiff opposition of the local residents and institutes, the Maha Metro changed its plan and connected Ajni Railway station with Maha Metro. This will definitely increase the commuters of the Nagpur Metro, said Mahesh Kumar.

Paucity of coal may hike power tariff in State

Nagpur : With approaching summer, citizens could be subject to tariff shock as Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has upheld contention of M/s Adani Power Maharashtra Limited (APML) that reduction in coal supply due to policy shift amounts to change in law. As such, the generator is liable to recover additional cost incurred on power generation due to usage of other costly fuel or imported coal to compensate for loss in contracted supply. Already the demand for power in Maharashtra has increased and with sudden shift in wind the day time demand is likely to rise substantially in coming days.

Delivering the order, MERC two member bench including Chairman Anand Kulkarni and Member Mukesh Khullar upheld the contention of M/s Adani against Shakti policy wherein Central Government has reduced coal allotment to 75 per cent of annual contracted quantity (ACQ). Thus, the company prayed for permission to recover additional cost from March 31, 2017, onwards from MSEDCL to whom the entire generated power is sold as part of long term power purchase agreement (PPAs). The Commission has also allowed the company’s prayer to recover the carrying cost.

The changes in power rate comes into effect from March 1, 2019, onwards but APML is bonded to intimate in advance to MSEDCL the quantum of supply that is generated through costly coal. MSEDCL was also directed by Commission to ensure that APML continues to get maximum required coal stock under FSA.

However the order is subject to conditions with Commissioning assuming that coal shortage is likely to continue further, MSEDCL is given liberty to source cheaper power available in the market. So in a way for M/s Adani the victory in short limited in nature as in long term it has to keep in mind Merit Order Dispatch (MoD) that is current driver in the power market. This is so as distribution licence is mandated to keep its power procurement costs at lowest possible level.

Also, power generator is directed to intimate to distribution licensee any increase in its rates owing to use of costly fuel to make up for coal shortage from the linked source. The distribution licensee would continue to hold an upper hand since MERC stated that the latter is free to direct the generator to back down his sets in case the power rate is on higher side.

Outlining its reasoning, APML said payment due to change in law results in additional burden on the company if the same are not reimbursed immediately by the borrower. It impacts the working capital interest.

State Govt sanctions 13,000 wells in command area of Pench project

Nagpur : To provide relief to the affected farmers of Nagpur Division, Maharashtra Government has sanctioned 13,000 wells in the command area of Pench Project. The farmers of the division are facing severe water scarcity for irrigation and drinking purpose due to storage of less water in Totladoh dam.

Giving details of the programme, Guardian Minister of Nagpur district Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, Madhya Pradesh Government has constructed Chourai dam in the catchment area of Pench Project. This has reduced the water storage in the dam and around two lakh farmers of Nagpur District are affected. They did not get water for Kharif as well as Rabi crops. As per old agreement, the State Government could not sanction wells in the command area of the Pench Project. However, Government has changed the condition in consultation with Central Government to provide water to the farmers. The State Government will provide Rs 2.50 lakh for each well to the farmers. Government has sanctioned Rs 338 crore for this project. The marginal and small farmers will get benefit of this scheme.

State Government has sanctioned 4500 wells in command area of Pench Project in Nagpur district while 800 wells in Bhandara district. The government has sanctioned 1100 wells in Gondia, 1700 wells in Chandrapur, 1700 wells in Gadchiroli and 2000 wells in farmers’ suicide hit Wardha district. The Government will sanction 10,000 wells in first phase and 3,000 wells in second phase.

Earlier, the Government had sanctioned programme of 11,000 wells in September 2016. Later 614 wells were also sanctioned in Chandrapur district. Out of these sanctioned wells, 8775 wells were completed while work of 2734 wells is under process. The Government has given extension to the project uptill June 30, 2020, Bawankule added.
Meanwhile, Government has sanctioned Rs 1,200 crore for the four lift irrigation schemes in the division. This includes a lift irrigation scheme at Nag River too. The Western Coalfields Limited has also released water in Pench river.

Bawankule to meet Kamal Nath
Chandrashekhar Bawankule will meet Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath at Bhopal next week. The State Government is demanding release of 5 MLD water from Chourai dam to Totladoh for the farmers of Nagpur district. Bawankule said, we have requested Madhya Pradesh Government to release water from the Chourai dam. Till now, there is no commitment from the Madhya Pradesh Government. They have assured to assess the situation in May and then release the water. Instead of releasing water in May, if they release it in February or March then the evaporation losses in transporting the water will be less, he added.

Pandhurna wants to merge in Maharashtra
Guardian Minister Bawankule claimed that people of Pandhurna want to merge in Maharashtra. Replying to a query in a press conference regarding Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath’s statement that Gondia should be included in Madhya Pradesh, he said, the citizens of Gondia never demanded that they should be included in Madhya Pradesh. However, there is demand from Pandhurna, he added.

76 per cent farmers in distt to get benefit of Sanman Yojana

Nagpur : Maharashtra Government has rolled-out the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana in the State. The small and marginal farmers upto two-hectare land will get benefit of Rs 6,000 per annum in three installments. The State Government has chalked out a detailed programme for providing benefit of the scheme to the agriculturists. In Nagpur division, around 76 percent small and marginal farmers out of 15,14,483 farmers will be benefited from the scheme.

Providing details of the scheme in a press conference, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, nearly 80 percent of the small and marginal farmers in the District will get benefit of the scheme. The revenue officers have started preparing village-wise list of the farmers. The list of the farmers will be published between February 15 to 20. The list will be scrutinized at Tehsil level on February 20 and 21. The final list of the beneficiaries will be published between February 22 to 26. The Government has formed different committees at District level, Taluka level and village level for the hassle-free implementation of this game changer scheme. The Divisional Commissioner will head the committee at Division level while Commissioner (Agriculture) will be heading State Level Committee. In Amravati division out of 19,13,258 farmers, 73 per cent are small and marginal who will get the benefit. There are 1,52,85,439 farmers in the state as per 2015-16 agriculture survey.

Bawankule said, all the beneficiaries will be included in the list. The State Government has made a provision of Rs 7,200 crore to be credited in the bank accounts of eligible farmers.

This scheme will not be applicable to those who hold or held statutory posts. This includes present/past Ministers, Ministers of State, MPs, Rajya Sabha members, Vidhan Sabha/Vidhan Parisahd members, former/present Mayors, ZP chairpersons, all Central and State Government Officers/employees (Excluding class IV/GD-D category), those who paid income tax in the last years, pensioners whose pension is Rs 10,000 or more, registered Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Chartered Accountants, Architects etc. The central government has decided the parameters of non-eligibility for this scheme.

If in one joint family there are land holders numbering four or five and each one is having less than two hectare land, then they will be eligible for this scheme. MLAs Sudhakar Kohle, Mallikarjun Reddy, Resident Deputy Collector Ravindra Khajanchi were present in the press conference.

Nagpur Metro to start trial-run from Khapri to Ajani Railway Station from 13th

Nagpur : The stage is all set to roll-out Nagpur Metro on a stretch of 19 kms from Khapri to Sitabuldi and Lokmanya Nagar to Subhash Nagar in coming weeks. Nagpur Metro will start trial-run of the train from Khapri to Ajni Railway station from February 13. The team of Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) will reach Nagpur on February 14 and Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on February 23 to certify the project before the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Managing Director Dr Brijesh Dixit while talking to mediapersons on Monday said, Nagpur Metro will start its journey in Reach I and III on eight metro stations on both the routes. We will start operation at Khapri Station, New Airport Station, South Airport Station, Airport Station, Jaiprakash Nagar Station and Sitabuldi Station on reach-I at Wardha road. The construction of these Metro stations is near completion.

The team of RDSO will reach Nagpur on February 14 to test Signal, electrical traction, railway track and other aspects. The team of CMRS will reach to check break system and others. They will also check metro coaches which arrived from China and will be used by Metro for its operation in Nagpur. The Nagpur Metro has already received RDSO certificate and CMRS clearance for Khapri, New Airport, and South Airport Metro station. Therefore, this is only extension of earlier certificates, said Dr Dixit. Nagpur Metro will be having three coaches and out of them one coach will be dedicated to Nari Shakti (women).

पलक अग्रवाल ने दी अरंगेत्रम की प्रस्तुति

नागपुर : भरतनाट्यम गुरु किशोरी तथा कशोर हम्पीहोली की शिष्या पलक अग्रवाल ने रविवार को वसंतराव देशपांडे सभागृह में अरंगेत्रम की प्रस्तुति उपस्थितों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।

भारतीय शास्त्रीय नृत्य भरतनाट्यम की परपंरा के अनुसार शिष्य एकल प्रस्तुति के लायक हो जाने पर गुरु के समक्ष प्रस्तुति देता है, जिसे अरंगेत्रम कहते हैं। प्रदर्शन से संतुष्ट होने गुरु शिष्य को एकल प्रस्तुति की अनुमति प्रदान करते हैं। परंपरानुसार पलक ने कई रागों तथा ताल मलिका से सजी मंगल प्रार्थना से प्रस्तुति की शुरुआत की। इस नृत्य की रचना पद्मश्री अड्यार लक्ष्मण के द्वारा की गई है। इसके साथ ही शब्दम विभाग में तंजावर पिल्लइ रचित पद्मश्री अड्यार के लक्ष्मण के नृत्यपट, वर्णम में रुक्मणी देवी अरुंदले द्वारा आनंद भैरवी राग में रचित नृत्यपट की भी प्रस्तुति हुई।

कार्यक्रम में पुणे के बांसुरी वादक संजय श्रीधरन, मुंबई के वायलिन वादक विष्णु दास, मृदंग वादक मास्टर इलप्पा ने पलक का साथ दिया। नाट्य कला भारती की उपाधि से सम्मानित चेन्नई के हरिप्रसाद ने शास्त्रीय संगीत की प्रस्तुति दी। कला में रुचि रखने वाली भवन्स की छात्रा पलक चित्रकला व नाट्यकला में भी प्रवीण हैं।

NSUI stages protest against hike in Star bus fares

Nagpur : The district unit of NSUI staged protest against hike in fares of Star bus at Variety Square in Sitabuldi on Monday. The NSUI activists led by its President Ashish Mandpe and General Secretary Pranay Singh Thakur gathered near Eternity Mall and shouted slogans in support of their demands.

The agitating activists alleged that people are already facing problems due to the bad conditions of the buses. Moreover, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) administration has hiked the fare by 25 per cent. A number of people travelling in Starbus belong to lower income group or students. However, the administration has not given a thought to their plights. Its only motto is to earn money, the NSUI leaders said. Furthermore, the administration has stopped issuing concessional passes to the students, this is nothing but looting the people, the agitating workers alleged.

During the protest, the NSUI activists climbed on the buses and shouted slogans flaying the NMC’s move to hike the fares and demanded immediate rollback of the hike in fares. They also demanded regular cleanliness inside the buses besides, their proper maintenance. They have warned to launch an intensified agitation in future and said the NMC administration would be responsible for it.

बसोली ग्रुपद्वारे ‘ऑरेंज सिटी ऑन कॅनव्हास’ विषयावर चित्रप्रकल्पाचे आयोजन

नागपूर : लक्ष्मीनगरच्या बालजगत येथे बसोलीग्रुपद्वारे ‘ऑरेंज सिटी ऑन कॅनव्हास‘ या विषयावर चित्रप्रकल्पाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. यामध्ये प्रामुख्याने नागपूर शहराच्या इतिहासावर चित्रे काढण्यात आली. गोंड राजा ते माझी मेट्रो, अशी शहरातील विविध ५० विषयांवर चित्रे रेखाटली गेली आहेत.

या चित्रप्रकल्पात जवळपास १७० चित्रकारांनी सहभाग घेतला होता. यामध्ये प्रत्येक ग्रुपमध्ये प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्ती, व्यावसायिक चित्रकार व बालचित्रकारांचा समावेश होता. मागील अनेक वर्षांपासून बसोली ग्रुपचे आयोजक चंद्रकांत चन्ने हे या चित्रप्रकल्पाचे आयोजन करतात. प्रत्येक चित्रात राजकीय, सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक संदेश देत लहान मुलांना नागपूर शहराचा इतिहास समजणे, हा चित्रप्रकल्पाचा मुळ उद्देश आहे, असे चंद्रकांत चन्ने यांनी सांगितले.

Nagpur known as cultural city: Gadkari

Nagpur : Availability of huge auditoriums, increasing participation of local social organisation in various cultural programmes have changed Nagpur’s face and the city is now known as cultural city, said Uniion Minister for Road and Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari.

He was speaking after inaugurating the first Literary Fest organised jointly by Zeal Foundation, Uttishtha Pratishthan and Chitnavis Centre. Local classical singer Dr Prabha Atre and veteran thinker M G Vaidya were the special guests.

With the opening up of Kavivarya Suresh Bhatt auditorium a large number of cultural programmes are being organised in the city. Similarly, thousands of local artists got an opportunity to display their talent through Khasdar Krida Mahotsav, Gadkari said. Litterateurs through their contribution have taken Nagpur’s name to a new high, he added.

Dr Prabha Atre in her speech said that inclusion of sports, dance, music and other arts along with literature in the Literary Fest is commendable. Books of different art forms and other subjects should be displayed at the fest, she suggested.

Adopting value-based life style with preservation of religion and culture helps to grow the literary culture, said M G Vaidya.

President of Zeal Foundation Ajay Deshpande delivered the introductory speech. Author Dr S G Deshpande and Director of CIIMS Hospital Dr Lokendra Singh also spoke on the occasion.

नागपूर : स्मार्ट सिटी, ग्रीन सिटी, टायगर कॅपिटल असे अनेक बिरुदं मिरविणारे नागपूर शहर आता ‘हॅपी सिटी’ म्हणून ओळखले जाऊ लागले आहे. शहरात होणारे विविध सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम ही नवी ओळख निर्माण करण्यास कारण ठरत असल्याचे प्रतिपादन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.

नागपूर महानगरपालिका आणि कलाशृंगार नृत्य निकेतनच्या वतीने रेशीमबाग येथील कविवर्य सुरेश भट सभागृहात शनिवारी (ता. ९) आयोजित महापौर चषक अ.भा. नृत्य स्पर्धेच्या उद्‌घाटन प्रसंगी त्या बोलत होत्या. यावेळी मंचावर मनपाच्या क्रीडा समितीचे सभापती नागेश सहारे, उपसभापती प्रमोद तभाने, क्रीडा निरीक्षक नरेश चौधरी, नृत्य गुरु सोनू नक्षिणे, स्पर्धेचे परिक्षक रमेश लखमापुरे, रेणू महाजन , प्रशांत कोतुरवार, प्रणाली राऊत, प्रिती पुराणिक उपस्थित होते.

पुढे बोलताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या, देशाचे केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या पुढाकाराने शहरात खासदार सांस्कृतिक महोत्सवासारखे उपक्रम आयोजित होतात. अशा महोत्सवामुळे नागपुरात सांस्कृतिक वातावरण तयार झाले आहे. कविवर्य सुरेश भट सभागृहाची निर्मिती करून ना. नितीन गडकरी आणि मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी शहराला सांस्कृतिक देण दिली आहे. महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्डसारख्या उपक्रमातून नवीन काही शोधणाऱ्या नागरिकांना एक व्यासपीठ उपलब्ध करून दिले. येथील उपक्रम आणि विकास प्रकल्पांमुळे नागपूर शहराची ओळख आता ग्लोबल सिटी म्हणून होऊ लागली आहे. प्रत्येक उपक्रमांत वाढता सहभाग हे नागपूरला ‘हॅपी सिटी’ अशी नवी ओळख देत असल्याचे त्या म्हणाल्या.

क्रीडा सभापती नागेश सहारे यांनी स्पर्धा आयोजनामागील भूमिका विषद केली. क्रीडा आणि सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमाच्या आयोजित खेळाडू आणि कलावंतांना व्यासपीठ मिळवून देण्याचा आपला प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.

तत्पूर्वी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते दीपप्रज्वलन करून नृत्य स्पर्धेचे उद्‌घाटन करण्यात आले. यानंतर लावण्या वाघमारे हिने सादर केलेल्या गणेश स्तवनाने प्रेक्षकांची वाहवा मिळविली. महेश सांडेकर यांनी ‘जाने कहाँ गये वो दिन’ या गीतावर नृत्य केले. महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते काही स्पर्धकांना गौरवचिन्ह देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. परिक्षकांचे स्वागतही नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले.

Nagpur Traffic Police and Lions Club observed Traffic safety week

Nagpur : The Lions Club of Nagpur Victory in joined hands with the Nagpur Traffic Police to observe Traffic safety and Awareness week. The programmes were organised with to bridge the gap between police and public (school & college going youth in particular) and also to sensitize them about the importance of road traffic rules and it’s safety features.

Total number of school and colleges from across the city that took part in the event was eighteen. Speaking at the opening session in Anjuman College of Engineering and Technology, The Dy. Commissioner of Police Mr. Raj Tilak Roushan elucidated that whatever a child learns at this stage is an investment that will result in long term gains hence parents and teachers should take up the responsibility of instilling correct values in their minds by being the role models themselves. If they learn something from school and disseminate the message at the family level it will have a tremendous impact on them.

Praveen Sharan, Lions Club Secretary, illustrated that in four days of Road Traffic awareness campaign around 5000 students and eighteen (18) schools & colleges have administered an oath by RSP Traffic .

On Feb 6, more than 500 college & school going students who had registered to volunteer for Traffic awareness campaign, assembled at the Office of Dy. Commissioner of police (DCP) where they took an oath to comply with Traffic norms. The young enthusiasts had a photo session with Nagpur Traffic Police Mr. Raj Tilak Roushan.

महापालिकेत नोकरीचे आमिष दाखवून सात लाखांनी फसवणूक

नागपूर : महापालिकेत नोकरी लावून देण्याचे आमिष दाखवून एका टोळीने दोन तरुणांकडून सात लाख रुपये हडपले. रक्कम घेतल्यानंतर आरोपींनी पीडितांना बनावट नियुक्तीपत्रही दिले. महापालिकेत गेल्यानंतर ते नियुक्तीपत्र बनावट असल्याचे उघड झाले. त्यानंतर आरोपींची बनवाबनवी उजेडात आली. त्यामुळे फसगत झालेल्यांनी यशोधरानगर पोलीस ठाण्यात तक्रार नोंदवली.

कल्पना रामप्रसाद झोडापे (वय ५०), पवन रामप्रसाद झोडापे (वय २८), अनंत कांबळे (वय ४५), अमिन अनंत कांबळे (वय २८, सर्व रा. रामेश्वरी, नागपूर) आणि अमित व्ही. जोग (वय ३०, रा. साई मंदिरजवळ वर्धा रोड) अशी फसवणूक करणाऱ्या टोळीतील आरोपींची नावे आहेत.

या सर्व आरोपींनी एलसन नरेंद्र आंबिलडुके तसेच विलास सातपुते या दोघांना दोन वर्षांपूर्वी नोकरीचे आमिष दाखवले. आमची महापालिकेत सेटिंग असून आम्ही कुणालाही नोकरी लावून देतो, अशी आरोपींनी थाप मारली. त्यांच्यावर विश्वास ठेवून एलसनचा भाऊ भूषण तसेच विलासचा भाऊ चेतन या दोघांना महापालिकेत लिपिकाची नोकरी लावून देण्यासाठी २ जानेवारी २०१६ ते १० डिसेंबर २०१६ या कालावधीत या दोघांकडून प्रत्येकी साडेतीन लाखप्रमाणे एकूण सात लाख रुपये घेतले. त्यानंतर त्यांना महापालिकेत नियुक्तीचे बनावट पत्र आणि ज्यांची नियुक्ती झाली, अशा उमेदवारांची यादी दिली. हे पत्र घेऊन भूषण आणि चेतन महापालिकेत गेले असता ते नियुक्तीपत्र बनावट असल्याचे उघड झाले.

चेकही बाऊन्स झाले
आपली फसवणूक झाल्याचे लक्षात आल्याने एलसन तसेच विलासने आरोपींची खरडपट्टी काढून त्यांना आपली रक्कम परत मागितली. पोलिसांत तक्रार करण्याचीही धमकी दिली. त्यामुळे आरोपी कांबळे पिता-पुत्र तसेच कल्पना झोडापे यांनी एलसन तसेच विलासला एक ५० हजारांचा तर दुसरा १ लाख, ४० हजारांचा चेक दिला. मात्र, नमूद तारखेत आरोपींच्या बँक खात्यात रक्कमच नसल्याने ते चेक बाऊन्स झाले. तेव्हापासून वारंवार पैशाची मागणी करूनही आरोपींनी रक्कम परत न केल्यामुळे अखेर एलसन आणि विलासने यशोधरानगर ठाण्यात तक्रार नोंदवली. पोलिसांनी फसवणूकीचा गुन्हा दाखल केला. आरोपींची चौकशी केली जात आहे.

Brahmanand Sangeet Sabha at SCZCC on Feb 10

Nagpur : South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) has organised popular Sangeet Sabha Brahmanand at 6.30 am on Sunday at its campus.

Local artists Rajesh Khadse and Vidnyaneshwar Khadse will present shahanai rendition. This would be followed by classical and semi-classical singing presentation by renowned youth singer Pandit Bhuvnesh Komkali from Devas, Madhya Pradesh.

Vidnyaneshwar and Rajesh Khadse are sons of noted shahanai player Pandit Mahadeorao Khadse and they took lessons of shahanai from their father. Both have performed in various musical festivals across the country and regaled the audiences.

Pandit Bhuvnesh Komali is known to be masters of Indian classical. He took lessons of khayal gayakifrom Vasundhari Komkali and Madhup Mudgal. He inherits the music from his grandfather Pandit Kumar Gandharva and father Mukul Shivputra. He has bagged a number of awards too.

The entry fee for the programme is Rs 50 per person and the passes are available at SCZCC office.

नागपूर रेल्वेस्थानकावर दारूची तस्करी, आरोपीस अटक

नागपूर : रेल्वे सुरक्षा दलाने शुक्रवारी दारूची तस्करी करण्याच्या दोन घटना उघडकीस आणल्या. यात एका आरोपीला अटक करून ३३१४ रुपये किमतीच्या ३० दारूच्या बॉटल्स जप्त केल्या आहेत.

रेल्वे सुरक्षा दलाचे वरिष्ठ विभागीय सुरक्षा आयुक्त ज्योती कुमार सतीजा यांनी मादक पदार्थांची तस्करी रोखण्यासाठी गठित केलेल्या चमूतील महिला आरक्षक उषा तिग्गा, विकास शर्मा यांनी राज्य उत्पादन शुल्क विभागासोबत संयुक्तरीत्या धाड टाकली. यात रेल्वेस्थानकाच्या प्लॅटफार्म क्रमांक २ वर दुपारी १२.५० वाजता रेल्वेगाडी क्रमांक १२७९२ सिकंदराबाद एक्स्प्रेसच्या एस ८ कोचमध्ये एक व्यक्ती बॅग घेऊन संशयास्पद स्थितीत आढळली. त्याची चौकशी केली असता त्याने समाधानकारक उत्तर दिले नाही. त्याला आरपीएफच्या ठाण्यात आणून उपनिरीक्षक गौरीशंकर एडले यांच्यासमोर हजर करण्यात आले. त्याने आपले नाव कुणाल भिकुलाल व्यास (३१) रा. न्यू वाघेश्वरी लॉज, अनाज लाईन, वर्धा सांगितले.

बॅगबाबत चौकशी केली असता त्याने त्यात १२९० रुपये किमतीच्या दारूच्या पाच बॉटल असल्याची कबुली दिली. दुसऱ्या घटनेत सकाळी १० वाजता प्लॅटफार्म क्रमांक २ वर उभ्या असलेल्या १२७२४ तेलंगणा एक्स्प्रेसच्या एस ९ कोचमध्ये एक बॅग बेवारस अवस्थेत आढळली. आजूबाजूच्या प्रवाशांना बॅगबाबत विचारणा केली असता बॅगवर कुणीच आपला हक्क सांगितला नाही. बॅगची तपासणी केली असता त्यात दारूच्या २०१४ रुपये किमतीच्या २५ बॉटल आढळल्या. निरीक्षक वीरेंद्र वानखेडे यांच्या आदेशानुसार उपनिरीक्षक गौरीशंकर एडले यांनी जप्त केलेली दारू आणि आरोपीस राज्य उत्पादन शुल्क विभागाच्या स्वाधीन केले.

पुनरपरिक्षेचे निकाल जाहीर न झाल्याने संतप्त एबीव्हीपी कार्यकर्त्यांची विद्यापीठामध्ये तोडफोड

नागपुर : नागपुरातील राष्ट्रसंत तुकडोजी महाराज नागपूर विद्यापीठामध्ये शुक्रवारी ८ फेब्रुवारी ला अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषदेच्या (एबीव्हीपी) कार्यकर्त्यांनी विद्यापीठामध्ये जबरन प्रवेश करुण तोडफोड केली. माहिती च्या अनुसार मागील अनेक दिवसांपासून पुनरपरिक्षेचे निकाल जाहीर झालेले नाहीत. त्यामुळे संतापून कार्यकर्त्यांनी हा पवित्रा घेतला असे सांगितले जात आहे. या प्रकरणात विद्यापीठातील एका सुरक्षा रक्षकालाही बेदम मारहाण करण्यात आली आहे.

नागपूर विद्यापीठाच्या पुनरपरिक्षांचे निकाल अद्यापही जाहीर झालेले नाही. त्यामुळे विद्यार्थी संतापले आहेत. त्यानंतर शुक्रवारी अभाविपच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी तोडफोड केली. या घटनेनंतर विद्यापीठ परिसरामध्ये तणावपूर्ण वातारण निर्माण झाले होते. कार्यकर्त्यांनी तोडफोड करताना कुलगुरू आणि प्रकुलगुरू यांचे कार्यालयातही गोंधळ घातला. तेथील कार्यालयाच्या काचा आणि इतर काही वास्तु त्यांनी फोडल्या असून एका सुरक्षा रक्षकाला बेदम मारहाण केली. या घटनेची माहिती मिळताच घटनास्थळी पोलीस दाखल झाले होते. त्यांनी सुरक्षा रक्षकाला प्राथमिक उपचारासाठी रुग्णालयात दाखल केले आहे.

Lokanath Swami Maharaj arrives in Nagpur for todays’ Rath Yatra

Nagpur : The Nagpur chapter of the international society for Krishna consciousness ISKCON situated at the empress mall compound, near Raman science and under the guidance and association of his holiness Loknath Swami Maharaj the annual cart festival of Lord Jagganath is to take place today. The Rathayatra starts at 12 noon from Poddareshwar temple.

To start the festival the deities of Lord Jagannath, his Brother Balbhadra and sister Subadhra will be offered the 56 Bhogaram and thereafter the invited guest will be performing the rituals of cleaning the Rathyatra road and doing the Aarti. After his holiness Loknath Swami Maharaj hoists the green flag, the ocean of devotees will start pulling the Rath. The Lordship Sri Jagannath will travel giving his mercy from mayo medical square towards agrasen square ,Lal imli square, Vallabhacharya square, Khule chowk saraffa bazar, Gandhi putla, Bachhraj Vyas Chowk,, Tilak putla, Thadeswari Ram Mandir to Agyaramdevi square, Cotton market to empress mall gate and will conclude at the premises of empress mall compound.

ISKCON has organised a big cultural program event at the empress mall compound wherein the international devotees of the Hare Krishna movement who have flocked in the orange city from various country’s like USA, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Russia ,South Africa ,Mauritius to attend and participate in this grand Rath Yatra, will perform various spiritual. The event will commence from 6 pm and will continue till 9 pm.

Many international musicians will be for performing in this festival of Lord Jaggannath. After the arrival of the Lords cart the deities will be offered 56 Bhola and his holiness, Loknath Swami will perform the maha-aarti.

Loknath Swami Maharaj arrived at Friday, from Pune. He was welcomed at the airport by ISKCON Nagpur President, Parmatma Das, Padyatra Chief, Acharya Das and other devotees by offering garland while numerous devotees sang the Hare Krishna Maha antra kirtan . Along with Loknath Swami, Eklavya Das from New York USA, Shubhang Balram Das and Anadi Gaur Das also arrived to be a part of this holy Rath Yatra .

आदिवासी महोत्सवाचे उद्घाटन थाटात

नागपूर : आदिवासी समाजाला पुरातन संस्कृतीसह शौर्याचा इतिहास लाभला आहे. बदलत्या युगात आदिवासी समाजाने आपल्या कर्तृत्वाच्या बळावर प्रत्येक क्षेत्रात प्रगती केली आहे. मात्र प्रगतीचे शिखर गाठताना आपल्या पुरातन संस्कृतीचे जतन होणेही आवश्‍यक आहे. आपल्या येणाऱ्या प्रत्येक पिढ्रयांना हा इतिहास अवगत व्हावा यासाठी आदिवासी महोत्सवाद्वारे संधी उपलब्ध करण्यात आली आहे, असे प्रतिपादन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.

परंपरागत आदिवासी संस्कृतीचे जतन करण्याच्या उद्देशाने नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने शुक्रवार (ता. ८) आयोजित आदिवासी महोत्सवाच्या उद्घाटन कार्यक्रमात अध्यक्षस्थानावरून महापौर नंदा जिचकार बोलत होत्या. मंचावर महोत्सवाचे उद्घाटक राष्ट्रीय जनजाति आयोगाचे अध्यक्ष नंदकुमार शाय, प्रमुख ‍अतिथी म्हणून आमदार सुधाकर देशमुख, महोत्सवाच्या आयोजक राष्ट्रीय जनजाति आयोगाच्या सदस्या माया इवनाते, आयोगाचे सदस्य हरीकृष्ण दामोद, सत्ता पक्षनेते संदीप जोशी, धरमपेठ झोन सभापती प्रमोद कौरती, सत्तापक्ष उपनेत्या वर्षा ठाकरे, नगरसेवक संदीप जाधव, नगरसेविका रूतिका मसराम, गोंड राजमाता राजश्रीदेवी उईके,‍ शिवाणी दाणी, दिगंबर चौहाण, श्री. पंजवानी आदी उपस्थित होते.

पुढे बोलताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या, आज आदिवासी समाजातील प्रतिभावंतांनी विविध क्षेत्रात लौकिक प्राप्त केले आहे. या समाजाने इतिहासात केलेल्या शौर्याची महतीही प्रत्येक नागरिकांपर्यंत पोहोचविण्यासाठी अशा महोत्सवाचे आयोजन महत्वाचे ठरते. प्रत्येक समाजबांधवाने आपली संस्कृती न विसरता या संस्कृतीचा प्रचार व प्रसार करण्यासाठी पुढे येण्याची गरज आहे, असेही महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या.

राष्ट्रीय जनजाति आयोगाचे अध्यक्ष नंदकुमार शाय म्हणाले, देशासाठी बलिदानात आदिवासी समाजाचे मोठे योगदान आहे. मात्र देशासाठी आपले शौर्य पणाला लावणाऱ्या या महावीरांच्या कार्याला हवा तो सन्मान मिळू शकला नाही.‍ देशासाठी बलिदान देणाऱ्या वीरांना योग्य सन्मान ‍मिळावा, लुप्त पडलेल्या इतिहासाचा अध्याय पुन्हा लिहीला जावा यासाठी राष्ट्रीय जनजाति आयोगाद्वारा प्रयत्न सुरू असल्याचेही त्यांनी सांगितले.

कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक राष्ट्रीय जनजाति आयोगाच्या सदस्या व महोत्सवाच्या आयोजक माया इवनाते यांनी केले.

‘नागपुर का राजा’चे सादरीकरण शनिवारी

शनिवारी (ता.९) महोत्सवाच्या समारोप प्रसंगी सायंकाळी ५.३० वाजता ‘नागपुर का राजा’ या महानाट्याचे सादरीकरण करण्यात येणार आहे. यावेळी आयोजित समारोप कार्यक्रमाला प्रमुख अतिथी म्हणून मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस, केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी, पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे, राष्ट्रीय जनजाति आयोगाच्या सदस्या माया इवनाते उपस्थित राहतील. कार्यक्रमाचे अध्यक्षस्थान महापौर नंदा जिचकार भूषवतील.

Metro to adopt rainwater harvesting in viaduct, stations

Nagpur : MahaMetro, which prides itself for building the greenest Metro of the country, is taking care of water conservation too. It is doing rainwater harvesting on a large scale to recharge the city’s groundwater.

A MahaMetro official said grating (holes) have been built in the centre of the viaduct so that rainwater does not get collected in it. “There is slight slope towards the centre and water will flow into it. There is one grating for three segments. The grating is connected to a PVC pipe in the segment, which in turn is linked with a pipe in the Metro pillar,” he added.

The pipe in Metro pillar has a hole at the bottom and water will spill over on the median (road divider). The median has pebbles and earth. “The pebbles will store water and gradually release it into the soil. However, during heavy rains water will flow out of the median onto the roads through holes in the median wall,” said the official.

According to the official, rainwater harvesting would not save much money for the Metro, but its purpose was recharging the groundwater of the city and save fresh water.

शहर विकासात लोकसहभाग महत्त्वाचा : महापौर नंदा जिचकार

नागपूर : नागपूर शहर ‘ग्लोबल सिटी’ म्हणून वाटचाल करीत आहे. दुसऱ्या टप्प्यात निवड होऊनही नागपूर शहराने देशात स्मार्ट सिटीमध्ये पहिले स्थान कायम ठेवले आहे. ही क्रमवारी पुढेही कायम राहावी यासाठी प्रत्यक्षातही शहरात स्मार्ट प्रकल्प तयार होणे आवश्यक आहे. यामध्ये सहभाग दर्शविण्यासाठी ‘बिल्डींग इफिसिएन्सी ॲक्सेलेटर’ने घेतलेला पुढाकार स्त्युत्य आहे. कोणत्याही प्रकल्पाची अंमलबजावणी करताना त्यामध्ये लोकसहभाग घेणे आवश्यक आहे. एकूणच शहराचा विकास लोकसहभागाविना शक्य नाही, असे प्रतिपादन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.

पुढे बोलताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या, नागरिकांच्या सुविधांसाठी शहरात विविध प्रकल्प कार्यान्वित आहेत. मात्र या प्रकल्पांबाबत जनजागृती करून यामध्ये लोकांचा प्रत्यक्ष सहभाग असणे आवश्यक आहे. याच संकल्पनेतून साकारलेल्या ‘मेयर इनोव्‍हेशन कौंसिल’मुळे अनेक स्मार्ट संकल्पना पुढे आल्या आहेत. हे केवळ लोकसहभागाच्या संकल्पनेतून साध्य होऊ शकले. प्रत्येक प्रकल्प हा शहराच्या विकासाला गती देणारा आहे. त्यामुळे या गतीमध्ये शहरातील जनतेचा सहभाग घेतल्यास खरा शाश्वत विकास साध्य होऊ शकेल, असेही महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या.

यावेळी बोलताना नागपूर स्मार्ट ॲण्ड सस्टेनेबल सिटी डेव्हलपमेंट कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे म्हणाले, इतर देशांच्या तुलनेत भारताला नैसर्गिक संपदेचे वरदान लाभले आहे. मात्र भविष्यात या संपदेचा ऱ्हास होणार आहे. हे निश्चित असताना या संपदेचा उपयोग करून त्यातून आपल्या दैनंदिन गरजा भागविल्या जाऊ शकतात. या नैसर्गिक संपदेचा योग्य उपयोग करून घेण्यासाठी वर्ल्ड रिसोर्स इन्स्टिट्यूट व इंटरनॅशनल कौंसिल फॉर लोक एनव्हिर्रांमेंट इनिशिएटीव्हने पुढाकार घेऊन नागपूर महानगरपालिकेला दिलेले सहकार्य गौरवास्पद आहे. हा प्रकल्प देशासाठी पथदर्शी ठरणार व देशातील इतर राज्यही याची अंमलबजावणी करतील, असा विश्वास डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे यांनी व्यक्त केला.

यावेळी नागपूर स्मार्ट सिटी, वर्ल्ड रिसोर्स इन्स्टिट्यूट व आयसीएलईआयच्या प्रतिनिधींनी सादरीकरणाद्वारे प्रोजेक्टचे महत्त्व विषद केले व याबाबत उपस्थितांकडून सूचना मागविल्या. शहरातील विविध संस्था तसेच स्वयंसेवी संस्थांच्या प्रतिनिधींनी प्रकल्पासंदर्भातील आपल्या शंका उपस्थित करून त्यांचे निरसरण करून घेतले.

मेट्रो के काम के लिये शनिवार से बर्डी उडान पुल बंद

नागपुर : शनिवार से वेरायटी चौक इलाके में शुरू हो रहे मेट्रो के कामकाज के कारण सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से 15 दिनों तक बर्डी का उडानपुल बंद रहेगा। मेट्रो अपने रीच-2 अंतर्गत बर्डी से ऑटोमोटिव चौक की राह जोड़ने के लिए यह कवायद करने वाली है। इसके लिए ड्रोन की मदद से कामकाज पर नजर रखी जाएगी। रीच-1 बर्डी से खापरी व रीच-3 बर्डी से हिंगणा अंतर्गत अब तक 75 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा काम पूरा कर लिया है। इसी के साथ रीच-2 बर्डी से ऑटोमोटिव चौक व रीच-4 अंतर्गत बर्डी से पारडी का काम भी किया जाने वाला है। रीच-2 अंतर्गत होने वाले काम में मेट्रो की राह को सड़क से लगभग 19 मीटर की उंचाई पर राह बनानी है। यहां बर्डी का उडानपुल पहले ही बना है। ऐसे में इतनी उंचाई पर मेट्रो को अपनी राह बनाना पड़ रहा है।

दरअसल यह राह मुंजे चौक से जीरो माइल की तरह मोड़ते हुए रहने से यह काम ज्यादा चूनौतीपूर्ण है। मोड़ को जोड़ने के लिए 44 मीटर का काम करना है। जिसके लिए 230 मेट्रिक टन वजन के 3 गर्डर का इस्तमाल किया जाएगा। 24 घंटे चलनेवाला इस काम के दौरान दो क्रेन जिसमें एक की क्षमता 220 मेट्रिक टन है, वही दूसरी की क्षमता 400 मेट्रिट टन का उपयोग किया जाएगा।

Dassault-Reliance starts executive jet production in Nagpur

Nagpur : Dassault-Reliance Aerospace has started producing parts for Falcon 2000 LX executive jets at its Nagpur facility, even as the controversy around the Rafale deal refuses to die down. Currently, the plant is supplying components for executive jets that are being assembled in France, but the company plans to ramp up production at the facility in the next three years to produce complete Falcon 2000 LX jets by 2022.

The company is a joint venture between French aircraft major Dassault Aviation SA and Mumbai-based Reliance Group, led by beleaguered businessman Anil Ambani. The manufacturing unit was set up to meet some of the offset obligations for the 7.87-billion-euro Rafale deal and the French company has invested around 8.5 billion rupees for the same. The company is expected to inform the government in October about the commencement of production at the facility to claim offset credits for the military jet contract.

Though the facility is part of the Rafale deal, no components for the fighter jet will be manufactured at the site, top executives of the company told. However, they did not rule out the possibility of manufacturing parts for the military aircraft in the future if India decides to expand the initial order of 36 jets.

“By early 2022, we want to assemble the complete Falcon 2000 aircraft here in Nagpur and we want to fly it out from here,” Sampathkumaran ST, Chief Executive Officer of Dassault Reliance Aerospace, told the newspaper. The plant will be capable of producing two aircraft per month once fully operational.

यावेळी मोदी यांनी पत्रकारांशी संवाद साधला. ते म्हणाले, की आपण नागपूरला आल्यानंतर दीक्षाभूमीला नेहमी भेट देत असतो. भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांचे वंचित, मागासवर्गीयांसाठी योगदान अमूल्य आहे. त्यांनी आपल्या संस्कृतीचा आदर करीत बौध्द धर्माचा स्वीकार केला. यावेळी भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे सरकार हे आरक्षणाबद्दल कटिबद्ध आहेत, असेही मोदी यांनी सांगितले.

Forest officials rescue leopard from well

Nagpur : The forest officials rescued a leopard that had fell in a well in the Khapa forest range and released it into the nearby forest.

The villagers noticed a leopard in the well and informed the forest officials. On getting information, a team of forest officials reached the village with trap and necessary equipment. They then left a swing into the well and made the leopard climb it. As soon as the leopard climbed it, the forest personnel pulled it up saving the big cat.

It was taken to the veterinary clinic and after examination was released into the nearby forest. The beast did not harm any of the villagers it was reported. However, how did the leopard enter the villager was not known.

कोळसाामाफिया शेख हाजीचा आणखी एक साथीदार अटकेत

नागपूर : कुख्यात गुंड व चंद्रपूरमधील कोळसाामाफिया शेख हाजी बाबा शेख सरवर ऊर्फ हाजी याच्या नेटवर्कचा शोध घेण्यासाठी एसटीएसचे वणीत छापासत्र सुरूच असून, एटीएसच्या पथकाने त्याच्या आणखी एका साथीदाराला बुधवारी रात्री वणी येथे अटक केली.

शस्त्रतस्करी प्रकरणातील अटकेतील तस्करांची संख्या आता तीन झाली आहे. मंगेश ऊर्फ पप्पू उखनकर (वय ३३,रा.वणी),असे अटकेतील साथीदाराचे नाव आहे. यापूर्वी पोलिसांनी हाजीसह जितेंद्रसिंग ऊर्फ कालू सज्जनसिंग (वय ३८,रा.वणी) या दोघांना अटक केली होती. तिघांकडून पोलिसांनी देशीकट्टा व काडतुसे जप्त केल्याची माहिती आहे. पप्पू हा जीम चालवितो. तो हाजी याच्या खास विश्वासूंपैकी एक आहे. हाजी याच्या इशाऱ्यावरून तो जीममधील युवकांना आपल्या टोळीत सहभागी करून घेत होता. पैशाचे आमिष दाखवून त्यांना शस्त्रतस्करी करण्यास भाग पाडत होता, असेही कळते.

हाजी हा चंद्रपूर ,यवतमाळसह मध्य भारतातील मोठा शस्त्र तस्कर आहे. कालू व पप्पू हे हाजीसाठी काम करतात. काही दिवसांपूर्वी मुंबई येथील एटीएसच्या पथकाने नागपुरात बरोनी-सिकंदराबाद एक्स्प्रेसमध्ये सुपत सिंग (रा. लक्ष्मीपूर, मुंगेर, बिहार) व यवतमाळ येथील संजय संदीपान खरे या दोघांना अटक केली होती. या दोघांकडून दोन पिस्तूल व २० जिवंत काडतुसे जप्त करण्यात आली होती. या दोघांच्या चौकशीदरम्यान हाजी याचे नाव समोर आले होते. त्यानंतर एटीएसच्या पथकाने सोमवारी हाजी याला वर्धेतील गिरड येथे तर कालू व पप्पूला वणीत अटक केली. एटीएसच्या पथकाने तिघांनाही गुरुवारी न्यायालयात हजर केले. न्यायालयाने तिघांची ११ फेब्रुवारीपर्यंत एटीएस कोठडीत रवानगी केली.

22-Year Old Girl Raped By Two Friends On Pretext Of Marriage In Hingna

नागपूर : लग्नाचे आमिष दाखवून व्यवसायाने शिक्षिका असलेल्या तरुणीवर कापड व्यापाऱ्याने बलात्कार केला. जेटानंद ऊर्फ जय सुरेशकुमार नारायणी (३२) रा. सिंधी कॉलनी, खामला असे आरोपीचे नाव असून त्याने या शिक्षिकेला युरोप व दुबई येथे फिरायला नेऊन तिथेही बलात्कार केल्याचे उघड झाले आहे.

पीडित २६ वर्षीय तरुणी दुबईत शिक्षिका आहे. आरोपीचे खामला परिसरात दुकान आहे. २०१४ मध्ये ती या दुकानात खरेदीसाठी गेली असता तिची आरोपीशी ओळख झाली. या दरम्यान आरोपीने तिचा मोबाईल क्रमांक घेतला व नंतर तिच्या मोबाईलवर विशेष ग्राहक म्हणून बक्षीस लागल्याचा संदेश पाठवला. आठ दिवसांनी तिला बक्षीस घेण्यासाठी दुकानात बोलावले. तिला सरप्राईज गिफ्ट म्हणून महागडी घडय़ाळ भेट दिली. तेव्हापासून दोघांमध्ये मैत्री झाली. तो तिला रोज फोन आणि मॅसेज करून जवळीक साधण्याचा प्रयत्न करू लागला. वाडी परिसरात त्याचे मोठे कापडाचे दुकान आहे. एक दिवस त्याने तिला या दुकानात नेले व मनसोक्त खरेदी केल्यावरही बिल घेतले नाही. यादरम्यान त्याने तिच्या संपत्तीची माहिती गोळा केली. ती लखपती असल्याचे समजताच त्याने तिला लग्नाची मागणी घातली. २०१७ मध्ये तिला दुबईत नोकरी लागली. तिने मुलाखतीला जात असताना त्याला सोबत नेले. दुबईत त्याने लग्नाचे आमिष दाखवून पीडितेवर बलात्कार केला. अश्लील छायाचित्रही काढले. त्यानंतर तो वेळोवेळी तिच्यावर वेगवेगळ्या ठिकाणी अत्याचार करू लागला व एक दिवस तिच्याशी विवाह करण्यास नकार दिला. त्यामुळे तिने पोलिसांत तक्रार दिली. पोलिसांनी बलात्काराचा गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे.
