नागपूर : जुन्या वैमनस्यातून काठीने वार करून ३० वर्षीय युवकाची हत्या करण्यात आली. ही घटना रविवारी रात्री ९ वाजताच्या सुमारास शांतीनगरमधील नालंदा चौकात घडली. शशिकांत ऊर्फ प्रवीण नत्थुजी गायधने, असे मृतकाचे तर ओमप्रकाश लीलाधर नागपुरे, असे मारेकऱ्याचे नाव आहे. तो फरार आहे.
प्रवीण हा मालवाहू चालक आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वी त्याचा ओमप्रकाश याच्यासोबत वाद झाला होता. रविवारी रात्री प्रवीण हा घरासमोर उभा होता. ओमप्रकाश तेथे आला. त्याने काठीने प्रवीणच्या डोक्यावर वार केला. रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात प्रवीण खाली पडला. त्याचा मृत्यू झाला. ओमप्रकाश पसार झाला. घटनेची माहिती मिळताच पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला. पंचनामा करून प्रवीणचा मृतदेह मेयो हॉस्पिटलकडे रवाना केला. शांतीनगर पोलिसांनी हत्येचा गुन्हा दाखल करून फरार ओमप्रकाशचा शोध सुरू केला आहे.
Nagpur : Nagpur’s oldest and biggest walking race is back to instill the paramount importance of health in the minds of the young and the elderly. Walkathon is one of the celebrated projects of Rotary Club of Nagpur started in 2005. From the participation of merely 500 to 1,000 persons in the initial years, it has now significantly grown to 5,000 to 10,000 persons hailing from various regions of Vidarbha. The proceeds of Walkathon 2019 will be utilised to shape other social causes of Rotary Club of Nagpur like Udaan, a fun filled sports day for differently abled children and Hemalkasa surgical camp, a medical aid for the tribal and underprivileged population. The club has taken a decision to donate a part of the proceeds to the widows of the martyrs of Pulwama.
नागपूर : रेल्वे सुरक्षा दलाच्या विशेष पथकाने शनिवारी नागपूर रेल्वेस्थानकावर येऊन थांबलेल्या जीटी एक्स्प्रेसमध्ये धडक देत ६७.५० लाखांची रोख घेऊन जाणाऱ्या व्यक्तीच्या मुसक्या आवळल्या. ही रक्कम हवालाची असावी असा संशय असून हे प्रकरण पुढील तपासासाठी आयकर विभागाकडे सोपविण्यात आले आहे.
पूर्णानंद रामचंद्र मिश्रा (४८) रा. नाईक गल्ली, इतवारी पोस्ट ऑफिसजवळ असे ताब्यातील व्यक्तीचे नाव आहे. दुपारी १.०५ वाजताच्या सुमारास नवी दिल्ली – चेन्नई जीटी एक्स्प्रेस नागपूर स्थानकाच्या फलाट क्रमांक २ वर येऊन थांबताच तो एस-८ क्रमांकाच्या डब्यात जाऊन बसला. विकास शर्मा आणि उषा तिग्गा नियमित तपासणीसाठी त्याच डब्यात शिरले.
तपासणीदरम्यान बर्थ क्रमांक ४४ वर मिश्रा बसून दिसला. वरच्या बर्थवरील बॅग बघताच त्यांना शंका आली. बॅग उचलण्याचा प्रयत्न केला ती फारच वजनी होती. विचारणा करताच मिश्राने बॅगमध्ये रोख रक्कम असल्याची माहिती दिली. लाखोंची रक्कम असल्याने मिश्राला ठाण्यात आणण्यात आले. बॅग उघडताच दोन हजार आणि पाचशेच्या नोटांचे दोन मोठे पॅकेट आढळले. या नोटा एकूण ६७.५० लाख रुपयांच्या आहेत.
ही माहिती लागलीच वरिष्ठ विभागीय सुरक्षा आयुक्त ज्योतीकुमार सतिजा यांना देण्यात आली. सतिजा यांनी पैशांशी संबंधित कागदपत्रे सादर करण्याची सूचना केली. पण, मिश्राने ही ‘अन अकाउंटेड’ रक्कम असून कागदपत्रे सादर करण्यासंदर्भात असमर्थता व्यक्त केली. लागलीच घटनेची माहिती देऊन आयकर विभागाच्या अधिकाऱ्यांना पाचारण करण्यात आले. कायदेशीर कारवाईनंतर आरोपी आणि रक्कम आयकर विभागाच्या ताब्यात देण्यात आली.
Nagpur : “Nagpur Metro will pass through the fifth level of a 20-storey Zero Mile building. The first five floors of the building will be ready by December -2019. Nagpur is first in the country to have such a building with metro station in it,” said Dr Brijesh Dixit, Managing Director of Maha Metro on Sunday.
Dr Dixit was addressing mediapersons at premises of under construction building at Zero Mile. Presently, the work of inter-change of railway track at Zero Mile Station is going on on fast-track. The train coming from Khapri to Sitabuldi Munje Square will inter-change its route at this junction. On the direction of Maharashtra Government, Maha Metro will construct another 15 floors– Maharashtra Assembly Annex– building for the State Government secretariat. The building will look like twin towers of the city. The total area to be developed in two buildings will be around 10 lakh sq fts.
Briefing about proposed development, Dixit said, “We are planning to give a new look to entire Sitabuldi area. It will emerge as world class business centre. It will be having Netaji Market Business Complex, TTMC Property Development, Yashwant Stadium Redevelopment, Zero Mile Twin Towers and Sitabuldi Interchange Station. All Mega structures are proposed in this up-market area which is Nagpur’s Central Business District.”
The Zero Mile Station has two-basement for dedicated parking. The parking will accommodate 400 cars, 100 two-wheelers and specified parking for Metro rail commuters. The entry and exit points will be different in the building. The sky walk will be constructed for the pedestrians to cross the busy Morris College T Point. The Nagpur Metro will construct 5 floors building while remaining floors will be constructed on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis.
The Zero Mile metro station will be constructed in such a way that it will not create any noise and vibration to the higher floors of the building. It will be having extra layer of concrete and mass spring system as shock absorber. There will be separate lobby for the station and other areas of the building. The Annex Building of Assembly will also connect with Metro Station. The Zero Mile Station will be having Light and Sound Show in the building during evening hours.
Heritage walk to show city’s history
Nagpur Metro has planned to construct a Heritage walk from Zero Mile Station to Zero Mile Pillar. The heritage walk area will have an amphitheater, Museum, and also have information about historic survey conducted by horses to determine the distance of cities. This will be public area open for the common citizens. This will also show case the history of Nagpur district.

The railway administration had made arrangements of live telecast of Modi’s programme in Pandharkawada due to which the people present at Ajni station could watch PM’s entire programme live and listen to his speech.
नागपूर : लिव्ह इन रिलेशनशिपमध्ये राहत असलेल्या तरुणाने आपल्या प्रेयसीची चारित्र्याच्या संशयावरून हत्या केली. ही घटना शुक्रवारी सकाळी दहाच्या सुमारास नंदनवन पोलिस ठाण्याच्या हद्दीतील मोतीलालनगर परिसरात घडली. संगीता सोनकुसरे असे या मृतक तरुणीचे तर रवींद्र गुलाबराव लांडगे असे या प्रकरणातील आरोपीचे नाव आहे.
हे दोघे लिव्ह इन रिलेशनशिपमध्ये राहत होते. रवींद्रला संगीताच्या चारित्र्यावर संशय होता. त्यामुळे त्याने तिची गळा चिरून हत्या केली आणि मृतदेह एका रिकाम्या प्लॉटमध्ये फेकून दिला. या परिसरातील रहिवासीयांना हा मृतदेह दिसून आल्याने त्यांनी नंदनवन पोलिसांना कळविले. सुरुवातीला संगीताची ओळख पटलेली नव्हती. परंतु आसपासच्या नागरिकांनी तिचा चेहरा ओळखला. या तरुणीचे नाव माहिती नसले तरीसुद्धा ही तरुणी याच परिसरातील रहिवासी असून दोन तरुणांसोबत फिरताना दिसून येत होती, अशी माहिती गुन्हे शाखेला प्राप्त झाली. या माहितीच्या आधारावर त्यांनी तिच्या प्रियकराचे घर शोधून काढले आणि त्याला ताब्यात घेतले. पोलिसी हिसका दाखविताच रवींद्र पोपटासारखा बोलू लागला. संगीताचे वडील शिक्षक आहेत. ती रवींद्रसोबत लिव्ह इनमध्ये राहत होती. रवींद्र मजुरीची कामे करतो. पोलिसांनी रवींद्रला अटक केली आहे.
Nagpur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the city on Saturday morning and headed to Pandharkawada in Yavatmal district. He is to inaugurate a series of programme in Pandharkawada and Yavatmal besides addressing a public rally.
On his arrival at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister for Road and Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister of the district Chandrashekhar Bawankule and other BJP leaders along with senior government officials.

छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज चौक ते आयटीपार्क मार्गावरील ट्रंक लाईनच्या प्रलंबित कामामुळे या मार्गावरील सिमेंट रोडचे कामही बंद आहे. त्यामुळे नागरिकांना वाहतुकीचाही मोठा त्रास सहन करावा लागतो. ट्रंक लाईनसाठी रस्त्यावर मोठे खड्डे खणण्यात आले आहेत. मात्र या खड्ड्यांच्या सभोवताल कोणत्याही प्रकारचे बॅरिकेडस् लावण्यात आले नाही. त्यामुळे नागरिकांच्या सुरक्षेबाबतही बेजाबदारपणा बाळगण्यात येत आहे. या संदर्भात अतिरिक्त आयुक्तांनी संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांसोबत छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज चौक ते आयटीपार्क मार्गावरील कामाची पाहणी करून येत्या १५ दिवसात काम पूर्ण व्हावे, याबाबतची कार्यवाही करण्याचे निर्देश यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिले.

शहरातील विविध भागात असलेल्या मटन मार्केटमधील घाण हा संपूर्ण शहरातील प्रश्न आहे. नागरिकांची सुविधा व विक्रेत्यांच्या व्यवसायासंदर्भात योग्य निर्णय होणे आवश्यक आहे. यासाठी संपूर्ण शहरातील मटन मार्केटबाबत लवकरात लवकर धोरण तयार करा, असे निर्देश महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिले.
त्रिमूर्ती नगर येथील नाल्यालगतच्या मटन मार्केटबाबत नागरिकांचा रोष वाढत आहे. विक्रेत्यांकडून नाल्यालगत थाटण्यात आलेल्या दुकानांमध्येच कत्तल करण्यात येत असल्याने परिसरात घाण पसरविली जात आहे. अनेक वर्षांपासून हा विषय प्रलंबित असून यावर ठोस कार्यवाही होणे आवश्यक आहे. नागरिकांच्या आरोग्याच्या दृष्टीने हे मटन मार्केट हटविणे आवश्यक आहे. संपूर्ण शहरात हीच परिस्थिती असून यासाठी प्रत्येक झोनस्तरावर मटन व मच्छी मार्केट आणि कत्तलखाना तयार करण्याची योजनाही यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी मांडली.
Nagpur: One of the CRPF jawans martyred in cowardly terror attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir hailed from Nagpur.
The martyred jawan Sanjay Rajput originally a native of Buldana district was currently staying in Hingna-based CRPF Camp along with his family. After the terror attack, not only the martyred jawan’s family but the entire colony was devastated and maurned hi martyrdom.
Nagpur : India batsman Hanuma Vihari became the first player to score hundreds in three successive innings in Irani Cup on Friday when he completed a century on Day 4 of the ongoing match between Rest of India and Vidarbha at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
Vihari struck one down the ground off Akshay Wakhare’s bowling just before lunch on Friday to reach the three-figure mark, his third straight hundred in Irani Cup. Vihari had struck 114 in the first innings where Rest of India made 330.
Vihari had scored 183 for Rest of India during last year’s Irani Cup match against Vidarbha, who went on to retain the domestic title earlier this year. The said match ended in a draw as Vidarbha had posted a mammoth total of 800 in the first innings after a daddy hundred (286) from Wasim Jaffer.
Meanwhile, Vihari also became the first batsman since Shikhar Dhawan in 2011 to score centuries in each innings of an Irani Cup match. Dhawan had achieved the feat against the then Ranji Trophy champions, Rajasthan.
नागपूर : अजनीत राहणाऱ्या एका २४ वर्षीय विद्यार्थ्याने गळफास लावून आत्महत्या केल्याची घटना बुधवारी रात्री बाराच्या सुमारास घडली. प्रतीक रविकुमार गोंडाणे (२४) असे आत्महत्या करणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांचे नाव आहे. स्पर्धा परीक्षेत येत असलेल्या अपयशातून त्याने आत्महत्या केल्याची शक्यता प्राथमिक तपासांत व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
प्राप्त माहितीनुसार, प्रतीक हा मूळचा गोंदिया जिल्ह्यातील रहिवासी आहे. तो मामेभाऊ आणि मामेबहिणी सोबत अजनी हद्दीतील बेलतरोडी रोड, रामटेकेनगर येथील श्रीसाई अमार्टमेंटमध्ये राहत होता. त्याच्या मामेभावाचे मनीषनगरात हॉटेल आहे. तो आपल्या मामेभावाला हॉटेलातसुद्धा मदत करायचा. महाराष्ट्र लोकसेवा आयोग (एमपीएससी)च्या स्पर्धा परीक्षेसाठी प्रतीक तयारी करीत होता. स्पर्धा परीक्षेत वारंवार येत असलेल्या अपयशाने तो खचून गेला होता. शेजाऱ्यांसोबत हसतमुखाने बोलत असला तरी तो भविष्याबाबत तणावात राहत असल्याची माहिती पुढे आली आहे.
बुधवारी रात्री त्याची मामेबहीण गोंदिया वरून नागपूरला आली. रेल्वे स्थानकावर तो तिला घेण्यासाठी गेला होता. त्यानंतर त्याने रात्री बाराच्या सुमारास आपल्या खोलीत जाऊन सीलिंग फॅनला नायलॉन दोरीच्या सहायाने त्याने गळफास लावून आत्महत्या केली. या प्रकरणी फिर्यादी अचल नीलेंद्र उईके (२४) यांनी दिलेल्या सूचनेवरून अजनी पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद केली.
नागपूर: काटोल मार्गावरील फ्रेण्डस कॉलनीतील एचपी पेट्रोल पंपाजवळ भरधाव कारने अनेकांना धडक मारली. त्यामुळे तीन महिलांसह ९ जण जबर जखमी झाले. गुरुवारी रात्री ९ च्या सुमारास झालेल्या या अपघाताने परिसरात तणाव निर्माण झाला होता.
सूत्रांच्या माहितीनुसार, काटोल मार्गावरील पेट्रोल पंपाजवळ एक लॉन आहे. लॉनमधील विवाह समारंभ आटोपून पाहुणे पायी रस्ताने जात होते. तेवढ्यात वेगात आलेल्या एका कारने तीन महिला आणि सहा पुरुषांना जोरदार धडक दिली. या अपघातामुळे तेथे प्रचंड तणाव निर्माण झाला. संतप्त जमावाने पाठलाग करून पळून जाणा-या कारचालकाला पकडले. जखमींना तातडीने खासगी रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले.
Nagpur-based director Anurag Bhusari, who has made a film on Union Minister Nitin Gadkari titled Gadkari, says the movie is not a propaganda and merely chronicles facts. The trailer of the movie was recently released on YouTube and Anurag says the film takes a balanced stand on the life of the Minister.
“Lately, there have been a number of biopics (on politicians) where people said they were like propaganda. But what I can assure the audience is that I have only shown the facts,” Anurag told.
“I have not tried to show ‘Look how Nitin Gadkari is a good person’ but I have shown his struggles. I have shown the facts and everything which has happened with him,” he added.
“We have covered his life, growing up years up until 2014, until he became a Union Minister, we have covered everything.”
The feature film joins a long list of biopics being made on politicians in Bollywood.
Gadkari, which features Rahul Chopda in the lead, is looking for a release on YouTube before March 5.
नागपूर : नागपूर ते भुसावळ दरम्यान रेल्वे कोळसा प्रेषण आणि अतिरिक्त माल वहन मार्गाच्या कामासाठी मध्ये रेल्वे नागपूर मंडळातून जाणाऱ्या आठ पॅसेंजर गाड्या दीड महिना बंद राहणार आहेत. यामुळे प्रवाशांना त्रास सहन करावा लागणार आहे.
नागपूर-भुसावळ दरम्यान रोज अनेक रेल्वे पॅसेंजर गाड्या ये-जा करतात. यात हजारो प्रवासी अप-डाउन करतात. प्रवाशासांठी या गाड्या अधिक सोईच्या आहेत. नागपूर- भुसावळ दरम्यानच्या मार्गावर प्रशासनाकडून काम करण्यात येत आहे.
यामुळे हा मार्गच बंद ठेवण्यात येणार असल्याचे सांगण्यात येते. परिणामी या मार्गावरून धावणाऱ्या सर्व पॅसेंजर गाड्या रद्द करण्यात येणार आहेत. तर काही गाड्यांचा मार्ग कमी करण्यात आहे. जवळपास दीड महिना काम चालणार आहे. या काळात या गाड्या रद्द करण्यात आल्या आहेत.

नागपूर : डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर आणि भगवान गौतम बुद्ध यांच्याशी संबंधित स्थळांना भेटी देण्यासाठी नागपूरहून समानता एक्सप्रेस गुरुवारी रवाना झाली. केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय राज्यमंत्री रामदास आठवले यांनी गाडीला हिरवी झेंडी दाखवली. समानता एक्सप्रेस या पयर्टन गाडीने प्रवास करणाऱ्या प्रवाशांचे स्वागत तुळशीच्या माळ देऊन करण्यात आले.
इंडियन रेल्वे कॅटरिंग अँड टुरिझम कॉर्पोरेशनतर्फे समानता एक्सप्रेस ही पर्यटन गाडी लोकसभा निवडणुकीच्या तोंडावर सोडण्यात आली आहे. ही मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान आणि गुजरात आदी राज्यातून जाणार आहे. पर्यटनाचे पॅकेज ११ रात्री आणि १२ दिवसांचा आहे. त्यासाठी १० हजार ३९५ रुपये विना वातानुकूलित आणि १२ हजार ७०५ रुपये एसी थ्री टिअर आहे. ही गाडी १६ डब्यांची आहे. या पर्यटन गाडीच्या माध्यमातून प्रवाशांना चैत्यभूमी, महू, बोधगया, सारनाथ (वाराणसी), लुंबिनी, कुशीनगर (गोरखपूर), दीक्षाभूमी आणि परत मुंबईला आणले जाईल. या गाडीचे ८५ टक्के बुकिंग झाले आहे. नागपूहून ३५० प्रवासी बसले, अशी माहिती मध्य रेल्वेचे विभागीय व्यवस्थापक सोमेश्वर कुमार यांनी दिली.
आंबेडकर यांनी दिलेल्या संविधानामुळे एकाच डब्यात सर्व जाती-धर्माचे लोक प्रवास करतात. आयआरटीसीने या गाडीची व्यवस्था केली. अशाप्रकारे पहिल्यांदाच गाडी सोडण्यात येत आहे. ही आमच्यासाठी गौरवाची बाब आहे, असे केंद्रीय मंत्री रामदास आठवले म्हणाले.
स्थळांना भेटी देण्याचा आनंद
गाडीने नागपुरातून निघालेले बहुतांश प्रवाशांना बौधगया, लुंबिनी, कुशीनगर, सारनाथ सारखे बुद्धाशी संबंधित स्थळे पाहण्याची पहिली वेळ होती. डॉ. आंबेडकर आणि बुद्ध यांच्याशी संबंधित स्थळ एकाचवेळी बघायला मिळत असल्याने प्रवाशांनी आनंद व्यक्त केला. यासंदर्भात बोलताना वर्धा मार्गावरील पांजरी येथील पंचफुला डंभारे यांनी पहिल्यांदा ही स्थळ बघण्याची संधी मिळत असल्याने आनंद होत असल्याचे सांगितले. यांना पर्यटन गाडीची माहिती वर्तमानपत्रातून मिळाल्याचेही त्या म्हणाल्या.
नागपूर : अखिल भारतीय स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थेमार्फत नागपूर महानगरपालिकेत सुरू असलेल्या इक्वीसिटी प्रकल्पाच्या माध्यमातून शिक्षण विभागाच्या सहाय्याने विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये स्वच्छतेबाबत जनजागृती करण्यात आली.
स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षणांतर्गत इक्वी सिटी प्रकल्पाच्या माध्यमातून नागपूर महानगरपालिकेद्वारे संचालित विविध शाळांमध्ये स्वच्छताविषयक उपक्रम राबविण्यात आले. प्रत्येक शाळांमध्ये प्रश्नमंजुषा घेण्यात आली. यामध्ये स्वच्छतेवर आधारित प्रश्न विचारण्यात आले. प्रश्नोत्तराच्या माध्यमातून विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये स्वच्छताविषयक जनजागृती करण्यात आली. शाळेच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी नंतर स्वच्छता जनजागृती रॅली काढली.
शाळेलगत असलेल्या वस्त्यांमध्ये फिरून त्यांनी स्वच्छतेचा संदेश दिला. रॅलीदरम्यान एका कार्यक्रमाच्या माध्यमातून एकूण स्वच्छता, कचरा विलगीकरण आदी बाबत चित्रफीत दाखविण्यात आली. या संपूर्ण कार्यक्रमात जयताळा मराठी माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र. १), वाल्मिकीनगर हिंदी माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र. २), दुर्गानगर मराठी माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.३), बॅ. शेषराव वानखेडे माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.४), दत्तात्रय माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.५), गंजीपेठ उर्दु माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.६), कुंदनलाल गुप्ता उर्दु माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.७), डॉ. राममनोहर लोहीया माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.८), कपिलनगर मराठी माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.९), मकरधोकडा हिंदी माध्यमिक शाळा (झोन क्र.१०) या शाळांनी सहभाग नोंदविला. विविध उपक्रमाच्या माध्यमातून सुमारे ५० हजार लोकांपर्यंत स्वच्छतेचा संदेश पोहचविणे आणि त्यांना जागरुक करणे, हा या उपक्रमामागील उद्देश होता. इक्वीसिटीच्या चमूने शहरातील निवासी भागात तसेच शाळा व व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठांनांना भेटी देऊन तेथे स्वच्छताविषयक जनजागृती केली. यादरम्यान सुमारे ७०० नागरिकांनी परिसर स्वच्छतेबाबत सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया नोंदविल्या. संपूर्ण उपक्रमासाठी इक्वी सिटीच्या चमूसह शाळांतील मुख्याध्यापक व शिक्षकांनी सहकार्य केले.
नागपूर : २०१५ पासून सातत्याने महानगरपालिकेकडे ‘आप’ने नागपुरातील शाळांचा स्तर उंचावण्यासाठी निवेदन सादर केले होते. मात्र, त्यावर योग्य अंमलबजावणी होत नव्हती. अखेर ‘आप’च्या कार्यकर्त्यांना यासाठी २६ जानेवारीपासून मनपाविरुद्ध आंदोलने व उपोषणाला बसावे लागले. या आंदोलनामुळे मनपाला जाग आली आणि आगामी अर्थसंकल्पात शाळांना आधुनिक करण्यासाठी शिक्षणावर २०% निधी मंजुर करण्याचे आश्वासन देण्यात आले आहे.
या माध्यमातून नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या क्षेत्रातील ६० शाळांना अत्याधुनिक(डिजिटल)करण्यात येणार आहे. सोबतच मनपा विद्यांर्थांना शहरातंर्गत असणाऱ्या ‘आपली बस’मध्ये मोफत पासेस व एका विशेष बसला मंजुरी मिळणार आहे. या सर्व सुविधा आगामी शैक्षणिक स्तरापासून सुरू होणार आहे, अशी माहिती ‘आप’चे कार्यकर्ते दीपक साने यांनी दिली.
नागपूर : मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस व केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या ‘व्हिजन’मुळे आज आपले नागपूर शहर स्मार्ट सिटीमध्ये अव्वल आहे. मात्र शहर स्मार्ट होत असताना शहरातील एक जबाबदार नागरिक म्हणून आपणही आपल्या वागणुकीतून स्मार्ट होणे आवश्यक आहे.
स्वच्छता, आरोग्य या सर्व बाबी नागरिकांच्याच हातात आहेत. स्वच्छ भारत अभियानांतर्गत संपूर्ण शहरात स्वच्छतेसंदर्भात कारवाई सुरू आहे. त्यामुळे नागरिकांनी आपली जबाबदारी ओळखून जागरूक होणे आवश्यक आहे. ‘महापौर आपल्या दारी’ उपक्रमाद्वारे लोकप्रतिनिधी व प्रशासनाशी नागरिकांचा थेट संपर्क येत आहे व ते आपल्या समस्या मांडू शकत आहेत. या उपक्रमाद्वारे नागरिक आपल्या समस्यांबाबत जागरूक झाले आहेत. नागरिकांच्या जागरूकतेविना स्वच्छ, सुंदर शहराची संकल्पनाच अपूर्ण आहे, असे प्रतिपादन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.
‘महापौर आपल्या दारी’ उपक्रमांतर्गत मागील दोन महिन्यांपासून महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दहाही झोनमध्ये दौरा करून नागरिकांशी त्यांच्या समस्यांबाबत संवाद साधला. त्याअंतर्गत नेहरू नगर झोनच्या प्रभाग २८ व ३० द्वारे बुधवारी (ता. १३) ‘महापौर आपल्या दारी’ उपक्रमाचा समारोप झाला. यावेळी नागरिकांशी संवाद साधताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार बोलत होत्या. याप्रसंगी नेहरू नगर झोन सभापती रिता मुळे, जलप्रदाय समिती सभापती विजय झलके, आरोग्य समिती सभापती मनोज चापले, क्रीडा समिती सभापती नागेश सहारे, नगरसेविका मंगला गवरे, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, सहायक आयुक्त हरीश राऊत यांच्यासह संबंधित विभागांचे अधिकारी प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी नेहरू नगर झोनमधील प्रभाग २८ व ३० अंतर्गत कामगार नगर रमना मारोती, श्यामबाग, सेवादल नगर, सक्करदरा तलाव, भोसले नगर, आशीर्वाद नगर, तोहिद नगर, रिंग रोड परिसर आदी भागांची पाहणी करून नागरिकांच्या समस्या जाणून घेतल्या.
नागपूर : व्हॅलेंटाईन डे च्या पूर्वसंध्येला नागपुरात बजरंग दलातर्फे रॅली काढण्यात आली. व्हॅलेंटाईन डे च्या आधी वातावरण निर्मिती करण्याकरिता आणि प्रेमी जोडप्यांच्या मनात धास्ती बसवण्याकरिता या रॅलीचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. प्रेमाच्या नावावर अश्लीलता करणाऱ्या जोडप्यांना बजरंग दल धडा शिकवेल असे बजरंग दलाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी म्हटलेले आहे.
व्हॅलेंटाईन डे साजरा करण्याच्या विरोधात हिंदूवादी संघटना नेहमीच आक्रमक राहिल्या आहेत. अशात उद्या साजऱ्या होणाऱ्या व्हॅलेंटाईन च्या पूर्वसंध्येला नागपुरातील बजरंग दलाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी लोकमत चौक ते संविधान चौक अशी स्कूटर रॅली काढण्यात आली. यावेळी त्यांनी शहरातील पार्क आणि प्रेमी युगुलांची गर्दी असणाऱ्या ठिकाणाहून ही स्कूटर रॅली फिरवली.
प्रेमाच्या नावाने प्रेमी युगल अश्लीलता पसरवताना आढळल्यास त्यांना बजरंग दल आपल्या स्टाईलने धडा शिकवणार आहे. त्याकरिता गुरुवारी बजरंग दलचा प्रत्येक कार्यकर्ता हा सक्रिय असेल, असेदेखील सांगण्यात आले आहे. प्रेमाला आमचा विरोध नाही. मात्र, अश्लीलतेच्या माध्यमातून हिंदू संस्कृतीवर घाला घालण्याचा प्रयत्न झाल्यास तो हाणून पाडण्यासाठी बजरंग दलचा प्रत्येक कार्यकर्ता समर्थ असल्याचेदेखील बजरंग दलाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांचे म्हणणे आहे. त्यामुळे उद्या नागपुरात बजरंग दलाची भूमिका काय असेल, याकडे प्रेमीयुगुलांचे लक्ष लागलेले असून सुरक्षेच्या दृष्टिकोनातून पोलीसदेखील तत्पर असल्याचे समजते.
Nagpur : Even as Maha Metro Nagpur gears up for launch of its services, safety run was conducted on a stretch of 2 km, on Wednesday between Airport and Jai Prakash Nagar Metro Stations. The run was conducted with the help of Buland Shunter Engine. Maha Metro Managing Director DrBrijesh Dixit personally conducted the safety run.
The exercise aimed at testing multiple features associated with the project like track, over head electrification (OHE), stations and other associated essential components, said Dr Dixit while speaking to media at Airport Metro Station.
The Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) team would now visit Nagpur Metro Project for inspection on February 15, instead of February 14, as announced earlier, he said. The RDSO inspection would be conducted using the coaches that have been recently delivered to Maha Metro from CRRC, Dalian, China. The train would run between Khapri and Congress Nagar Metro Stations, he added.
The gravity of the work undertaken by Maha Metro Nagpur can be gauged from the fact that about 12,000 workers are engaged in completion of the project across the city. Of these, as many as 400 are employed at Sitabuldi interchange. Major work at Airport Metro Station and other outstanding tasks at other locations have been completed and only the finishing work is to be taken care of, he further said.
The remaining work at Airport Station would be finished in the next 3-4 days, Dr Dixit said. The Metro services would be operational very soon, the MD expressed his confidence. Speaking about the ongoing work at Variety Square – which is part of Reach-II, he said, two girders have to be installed now. The two ends across Gowari Flyover are being joined to establish connectivity on the stretch between Sitabuldi Interchange and Automative Square, Dr Dixit said.
नागपूर : शहर गुन्हे शाखेच्या युनिट क्रमांक ३ या पथकाने गुलाबजामून तयार करण्याच्या पावडरचे (भुकटी) पॅकिंग असलेले प्रॉडक्ट जप्त केले आहे. यासंदर्भात पोलिसांनी एका कारखान्यावर धाड टाकून त्या कारखान्याला सीलदेखील केले आहे. या प्रकरणी पोलिसांनी २ आरोपींना अटक केली असून आणखी काही आरोपी अटक होण्याची शक्यता वर्तविली जात आहे.
संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रासह देशभरातील नागरिकांना आवडणारे गुलाबजामून प्रत्येक लहान मोठ्या कार्यक्रमांच्या मेन्यूची शोभा वाढवत असते. मात्र, गेल्या काही काळात गुलाबजाम तयार करणारे पावडर भेसळयुक्त किंवा नकली पावडर बाजारात उपलब्ध झाल्याने गुलाबजामची चव कडू झाली आहे.
नागपूरच्या बाजारपेठेत नामांकित कंपनीचे नकली गुलाबजाम मिक्सचे पाकिटे विक्रीस उपलब्ध असल्याची माहिती मिळाली होती. त्यानंतर पुण्याच्या चितळे कंपनीने यासंदर्भात पोलीस ठाण्यात तक्रार नोंदवली होती. तक्रार समजताच पोलिसांनी कारवाई करायला सुरुवात केली.
गुन्हे शाखेच्या युनिट क्रमांक तीनच्या पथकाने कळमना परिसरात अवैधरित्या सुरू असलेल्या एका कारखान्यावर धाड टाकली. त्यावेळी तिथे नामांकित कंपन्यांचे लेबल असलेले नकली गुलाब जामून पावडर तयार केले जात असल्याचे उघडकीस आले. या प्रकरणात पोलिसांनी दीपक तलरेजा आणि जयेश लखनाणी अशा दोघांना अटक केली आहे.
नागपुर : रस्त्यावर वाहन उभे करणाऱ्या ऑटोंवर कारवाई करण्यासाठी गेलेल्या दोन वाहतूक शिपायांवर पोलिसांवर ऑटोचालकांनी हल्ला करून त्यांना जखमी केले. ही धक्कादायक घटना बुधवारी दुपारी १ वाजताच्या सुमारास गणेशपेठ बसस्थानकाजवळील हॉटेल राहुल डिलक्स समोर घडली. या घटनेने परिसरात काही काही प्रचंड तणाव निर्माण झाला. गणेशपेठ परिसरात ऑटोचालक व खासगी प्रवासी वाहतूक करणारे दादागिरी करीत असून पोलीस आयुक्तांनी तांच्यावर कारवाईची मोहीम हाती घेण्याची गरज आहे.
याप्रकरणी पोलिसांनी गुन्हा दाखल करून सोनू कांबळे रा. बेलतरोडी व मयूर राजूरकर रा. रामबाग या ऑटोचालकांना अटक केली. हवालदार किशोर धपके व शिपाई प्रकाश सोनोने,अशी जखमी वाहतूक पोलिसांची नावे आहेत. दोघेही वाहतूक शाखेच्या कॉटन मार्केट झोनमध्ये कार्यरत आहेत. किशोर धपके व प्रकाश सोनोने हे जामर कारवाई पथकात आहेत. दुपारी ते बसस्टॅण्ड भागात कारवाई करीत होते. पोलिसांनी एमएच-४९, ई-४७०७ व एमएच-४९, ई- ०५३० या क्रमांकाच्या ऑटोला जामर लावले. त्यामुळे सोनू व मयूर संतापले. दोघांनी वाहतूक पोलिसांसोबत वाद घातला. वाद विकोपाला केला. दोघांनी वाहतूक पोलिसांना मारहाण करायला सुरुवात केली. तणाव निर्माण झाला. पोलिसांनी ऑटोचालकांना अटक केली.
Nagpur : Running behind its schedule, first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus will arrive at Nagpur next week. The civic body is switching over city buses to environment-friendly fuel CNG.
The Transport Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has decided to run its 50 high speed diesel (HSD) buses on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The civic body had received these diesel-buses under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) from the Central Government. According to sources, Travel Time company has agreed to switch over diesel buses by fitting CNG kits. The company will invest in installing CNG kit- Type III CNG Cylinder in the buses without charging a penny from the Transport Department. The cost of a kit is around Rs 3.50 lakh.
As per earlier schedule, these buses will be arrived by January 26 but due to some technical problems, the first bus will be coming to Nagpur from Mumbai. The CNG kit has been fitted in the city bus at Dahisar area in Mumbai. Also, the company will start a CNG filling station at Khapri over civic body’s land. Current rate of 1 kg CNG is around Rs 50 but the company will charge Rs 55 from the civic body to recover the CNG kit cost.
It will also sell CNG to other buses and profit earned will be shared on 50:50 per cent ratio. These buses will reduce financial burden on NMC as CNG will be available at Rs 55 per kg while current price of diesel is Rs 75 per litre.
At present, the buses are running up to 3 km on 1 litre diesel while they will run up to 4.5 kms on 1 kg CNG. Also, switching over to CNG as fuel for city buses will reduce pollution.
Transport Department has suggested to convert 50 buses to CNG out of 79 diesel buses provided to operator Travel Time. Total 237 such buses are plying on city roads.
Nagpur : The Future Kabaddi Heroes (FKH) programme is a pioneering initiative by Mashal Sports in collaboration with AKFI, to scout for the next generation of Kabaddi heroes from across India. In its third year, FKHP received a very positive response with 217 aspirants participating in its two-day trials at New Ramdaspeth, Lendra Park, Nagpur.
The panelists K. Bhaskaran, who won gold medal in 1994 Asian Games, captained Indian Kabaddi Team 1995 SAF Games and coached Indian Kabaddi Team 2016 World Cup, Chajuram Goyat, who coached Indonesia Kabaddi Team in 2018 Asian Games and Ratanlal Thakur, coach of Himachal Pradesh Kabaddi Team had some tough decisions to make as Kabaddi enthusiasts from all over the state showcased their skills in a bid to make it through to the VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season VII auction pool.
The Future Kabaddi Heroes (FKH) programme has had its fair share of young stars such as Nitesh Kumar, Naveen Kumar, Rohit Gulia, Surender Singh among others, shortlisted for VIVO Pro Kabaddi Season V & VI auctions. These stars went on to deliver some record-breaking performances in the League.

लंकेश हा टीबी वॉर्ड परिसरात जुगार अड्डा चालवित असून, सट्ट्याची खायवडी करीत असल्याची माहिती उपायुक्त नीलेश भरणे यांना मिळाली. भरणे यांच्या नेतृत्वात इमामवाडा पोलिस स्टेशनचे वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक एम. एम. साळुंके, उपनिरीक्षक व्ही. व्ही. नरवाडे, हेडकॉन्स्टेबल परमेश्वर, रामेश्वर, विजय शिपाई मिलिंद, रमण खैरे, गोविंद चाटे, नितीन यांनी सापळा रचून लंकेश याच्या अड्ड्यावर छापा टाकला. लंकेश हा पसार झाला. पोलिसांनी सहा जणांना अटक केली.
Nagpur : Appreciating fulfillment of promise by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) welcomed decision of State government on Nazul plots in Maharashtra.
VTA delegation in December 2015 had submitted memorandum to Chief Minister, wherein specific demand to convert Nazul lands to freehold was submitted and it conversion on payment of fees / premium was also suggested. During this meeting, Fadnavis had categorically agreed to take appropriate steps in this regard and had also submitted that this will take some time so that all related issues are sorted out in one go.
VTA President; J P Sharma said, “We are extremely thankful to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his Cabinet for fulfilling this decades old demand of the region, which will bring much relief to the Nazul land holders, especially in Vidarbha as considerable number of Nazul plots are situated in our region.”
Secretary Tejinder Singh Renu said, our entire State should be proud of our Chief Minister who delivers what he promises. “With conversion of Nazul plots to freehold on payment of premium of 5% of ready reckoner value in case of residential plot and 10% for commercial is absolutely a commendable step, this will even reduce many NOCs required from Revenue Department for development, sale or mortgage of such lands.
VTA had even highlighted that as comparison to the revenue generated out of ground rent on Nazul plots was much poor as compared to the administrative expenditure required maintaining such plots. This decision will generate much required revenue for the State exchequer and simultaneously will relax burden on Revenue Department which will now give them extra time to focus of other important areas of citizens’ convenience.
नागपूर : सीताबर्डी भागातील अनाधिकृत दुकानांवर नागपूर सुधार प्रन्यासतर्फे कारवाई केली जात आहे. या पाडकाम कारवाईदरम्यान, एक इमारत पत्त्याच्या बंगल्यासारखी कोसळली. यात कुणालाही दुखापत झाली नाही. मात्र, इमारत पाडण्यासाठी आणलेल्या पोकलेन मशीनचे नुकसान झाल्याचे समजते.
नागपूर शहरात विकासाची कामे सुरू आहेत. या विकास कामांच्या आड येत असलेल्या अतिक्रमणांवर कारवाई केली जात आहे. दरम्यान, नागपूर शहराच्या मध्यभागी असलेल्या सिताबर्डी परिसरात अनेक दुकाने अतिक्रमण करून वसवण्यात आली आहेत. या दुकानांच्या विरोधात नागपूर सुधार प्रन्यासतर्फे गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून कारवाईचा बडगा उगारण्यात आला आहे.
नागपूर : शहरात वाढत असणाऱ्या गुन्हेगारी विरुद्ध मोहीम मोठ्या प्रमाणात सुरू आहे. अशात मंगळवारी दुपारच्या सुमारास पोलीस स्टेशन हद्दीतील संविधान चौकात कर्तव्य बजावताना पोलीस कॉन्स्टेबल निलेश चौधरी यांच्यावर हल्ला झाला आहे.
चौधरी यांनी हेल्मेट न घातल्यामुळे वाहन चालकाला थांबविले आणि त्याच्याकडून लायसन्स व गाडीच्या कागदपत्रांची मागणी केली. आपल्यावर कारवाई करत असल्याचे पाहून आरोपी मोहम्मद अन्सारी याने पोलीस कॉन्स्टेबल चौधरी यांना धक्काबुक्की करत चावीने हल्ला करून गंभीर जखमी केले. या प्रकरणानंतर लगेचच हल्लेखोर मोहम्मद अन्सारी याला पोलिसांनी अटक केली आहे. दरम्यान प्रकरणाचा तपास सदर पोलीस करत आहेत.
नागपूर : कथ्थक, भरतनाट्यम, लोकनृत्य, सीनेनृत्य अशा विविध नृत्य प्रकार एकाच मंचावर सादर करीत देशभरातून आलेल्या नृत्य कलावंतांनी रसिकांना रिझविले. नागपूर महानगरपालिका आणि कलाशृंगार नृत्य निकेतनच्या वतीने रेशीमबाग येथील कविवर्य सुरेश भट सभागृहात ९ आणि १० फेब्रुवारी रोजी आयोजित अखिल भारतीय नृत्य स्पर्धेचा समारोप थाटात पार पडला.
नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचे क्रीडा समिती सभापती नागेश सहारे, उपसभापती प्रमोद तभाने यांच्या हस्ते विजेत्यांना बक्षीस वितरण करण्यात आले. यावेळी मंचावर नृत्य गुरु सोनू नक्षिणे, प्रमोद कळमकर, मंगेश वाघमारे, नंदकिशोर मोटघरे, दिनेश बांते, प्रदीप वाडीभस्मे, दिनेश गुप्ता, वैभव शिंपी, रामानंद नन्नावारे, साहेबराव धुर्वे, चंद्रशेखर राऊत, कल्पना अणेराव, मनिषा झाडे, पूजा निनावे, नंदिनी कळमकर, जयश्री कोहळे, वर्षा मोटघरे, विना बांते, स्नेहल वाघमारे, योगेश्री पटले, विनिता भुसारी, कविता भोसले उपस्थित होते.
सतत दोन दिवस आलेल्या स्पर्धेत विविध राज्यातील स्पर्धक सहभागी झाले होते. विविध गटातील विजेत्यांना यावेळी पारितोषिक प्रदान करण्यात आले. विजेत्यांमध्ये भरतनाट्यम (एकल-वयोगट ५ ते १०) आदिती भुडे, ऐश्वर्या सेठिया, पलक डोये, वयोगट १० ते १५ मध्ये अक्षदा अय्यर, आर्या कळमकर, दिया अग्रवाल, १५ वर्षावरील गटात अंतरा पेडुलवार, अर्जुन नायर, आनंद पटेल, भरतनाट्यम युगुल (१५ वर्षाखालील) अंबिका ठाकूर-श्रेया रस्तोगी, रागिनी भगत-पलक वासनिक, आणि समूह भरतनाट्यममध्ये स्कूल ऑफ स्कॉलर्सचा संघ विजयी ठरला.
कथ्थक (एकल-वयोगट ५ ते १०) अनन्या पंडित, वयोगट १० ते १५ मध्ये कीर्ति भिसीकर, शाश्वती चहांदे, राशी पहारे, १५ वर्षावरील वयोगटात नमिता राऊत, युगुल नृत्यात १५ वर्षाखालील गटात चिन्मय भिसीकर-त्रिसा सारडा, १५ वर्षावरील गटात नमिता राऊत-अवंती दुधात तर समूह नृत्यात त्रिविधा कथ्थक कला निकेतन तर १५ वर्षावरील गटात शील कलासागरची चमू विजयी ठरली .
सेमी क्लासिकलमध्ये ५ ते १० वयोगटात राजेश्वरी कोंडावार, १० ते १५ वयोगटात शर्वरी जुनघरे, १५ वर्षावरील वयोगटात अंतरा पेडुलवार, युगुलमध्ये देवयानी सुतार-प्राची पाणीग्रही (ओरिसा), समूह नृत्य १५ वर्षाखालील गटात विवेकानंद पब्लिक स्कूल तर १५ वर्षावरील गटात नाट्यछंदची चमू विजयी ठरली.
लोकनृत्यात ५ ते १० वर्षे वयोगटात प्रेषिता चव्हाण, १० ते १५ वर्षे वयोगटात इसप्रित कौर, १५ वर्षावरील वयोगटात मृणालिनी दांडेकर, युगुल नृत्यात समृद्धी कंजारे-अद्विता नाईके, १५ वर्षावरील गटात नेहा बांगडे-दीपा उके, समूह नृत्य १५ वर्षाखालील गटात स्कूल ऑफ स्कॉलर्स बेलतरोडी विजेता ठरले. सीनेनृत्य स्पर्धेत एकल ५ ते १० वर्षे वयोगटात प्रत्युश पाटील, १० ते १५ वर्षे वयोगटात उन्नती आष्टनकर, जान्हवी सोमकुंवर, १५ वर्षावरील वयोगटात अर्जुन नायर, श्लोक पोहनकर, युगुल स्पर्धेत १५ वर्षाखालील गटात गौरव बावनखरे-आनंदी अंबार्ते, १५ वर्षावरील गटात हर्षल मुंडले-श्रुती पाठक, समूह नृत्यात १५ वर्षाखालील गटात एनएसएस ग्रुप तर १५ वर्षावरील गटात फूटवर्क डान्स अकादमी विजयी ठरले.

नृत्य स्पर्धेत आई फाऊंडेशनच्या वतीने ‘बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढाओ’ या थीमवर आधारीत नृत्य स्पर्धेचे आयोजनही करण्यात आले होते. यामध्ये फूटवर्क डान्स अकादमीने बाजी मारली. त्यापाठोपाठ इरा इंटरनॅशनल स्कूल आणि नटराज एसओएस ग्रुप अकोलाने अनुक्रमे द्वितीय व तृतीय क्रमांक पटकाविला. आई फाऊंडेशनच्या वतीने यातील विजेत्यांना विशेष पारितोषिके देण्यात आली. संत गाडगेबाबा बहुउद्देशीय संस्था निवासी मूकबधीर विद्यालयाची विद्यार्थिनी देवयानी शेंद्रे, कल्याणी बागडे, खुशी डवले यांना विशेष पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आले. संपूर्ण कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन अपर्णा लखमापुरे आणि कविता भोसले यांनी केले.
