नागपूर : नागपूर मेट्रोच्या सीताबर्डी ते खापरी या मार्गाला सीएमआरएसचे (मेट्रो रेल्वे सुरक्षा आयुक्त) प्रमाणपत्र मिळाल्याने मेट्रोच्या फेऱ्या वाढविण्याचा मार्ग मोकळा झाला. शुक्रवार, २८ जूनपासून दर तासाने मेट्रो उपलब्ध होणार असून नवे वेळापत्रकही तयार करण्यात आले आहे.
मेट्रो रेल्वे सुरक्षा आयुक्त (सीएमआरएस) यांच्या चमूने १९ आणि २० जून रोजी महामेट्रोनागपूर प्रकल्पाची पाहणी केली. सीएमआरएस ने केलेल्या पाहणी नंतर अप मार्गाकरिता सीएमआरएसचे प्रमाणपत्रदेखील महामेट्रोने मिळवले. आता अप आणि डाउन मार्गावर मेट्रोच्या फेऱ्यांमध्ये वाढ करण्यात येत आहे. याआधी डाउन मार्गावर मेट्रो सेवा सुरू होती. आता अप मार्गावर मिळालेल्या प्रमाणपत्रमुळे ट्रॅक ची लांबी वाढली असल्याने फेऱ्या वाढविणे शक्य झाले असल्याचे महामेट्रोकडून सांगण्यात आले. सध्या सीताबर्डी ते खापरी या मार्गावर मेट्रोच्या सकाळी ३ आणि सायंकाळी ३ अशा ६ फेऱ्या सुरू आहेत. २८ जूनपासून दर तासाला १ याप्रमाणे २५ फेऱ्या होणार आहेत.

व्यक्तीच्या जीवनात परिवर्तन प्रेम व विचारामूळे येते. महापुरूषांच्या जयंत्या साज-या केल्याने कारागृहातील कैद्याच्यांही विचारात परिवर्तन झाले. असे मत डॉ. उपाध्याय यांनी यावेळी मांडले.
डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांनी ‘द प्रॉब्लेम ऑफ रूपी’ या ग्रंथात रिझर्व बँक ऑफ इंडियाची संकल्पना मांडली. सायमन कमिशन, साऊथब्यूरो कमिटी समोर डॉ. आबेडकर केवळ शोषित समाजाचे नेते म्हणून नव्हे तर एक विशेषतज्ज्ञ व अर्थशास्त्री म्हणून गेले होते, अशी माहिती सन्माननीय अतिथि डॉ. गौतम कांबळे यांनी दिली.
डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांच्या व्यक्तिमत्वाला संविधान निर्माते,समाजसुधारक म्हणून असे कंगोरे असले तरी त्यांचे व्याक्तिमत्व शिक्षणामूळे अधिक प्रगल्भ झाले होते .त्यांचे शिक्षणविषयक विचार आज आपण आत्मसात करायला हवे, असे मत श्री. पी. शर्मा यांनी आपल्या अध्यक्षीय भाषाणातून मांडले.
आय.बी. एम.च्या खाण संस्करण विभागाच्या संचालिका यांनी बाबासाहेबांच्या महिला सक्षमीकरणासंदर्भात आपले विचार मांडतांना डॉ. आंबेडकरांनी दिलेल्या लढ्यामुळेच स्त्रियांना सर्व क्षेत्रात समान अधिकार मिळाले आहेत, असे सांगितले.

नागपुर : महानगर पालिका के स्कूल बुधवार को खुल गए। सभी स्कूलों में प्रवेशोत्सव मनाया गया। इस दौरान बच्चों को गुलाब का फूल देकर स्वागत किया गया। कहीं प्रभातफेरी निकाली गई, तो कहीं पथनाट्य द्वारा लोगों में बच्चों को स्कूल भेजने के लिए जागरूकतालाई गई। स्कूलों में गुणवंत विद्यार्थियों का सत्कार भी किया गया।
स्कूल के पहले दिन बच्चो के मनोरंजन और उनको पढ़ाई के लिए रूचि बढ़ाने के लिए मनपा स्कूलो में प्रवेश उत्सव धूमधाम से मनाया गया। स्कूल के पहले दिन विद्यार्थियो का स्वागत गुलाब का फूल देकर किया गया। शहर के कई स्कूलों में विद्यार्थियों को किताबें, और स्कूल ड्रेस का वितरण किया गया।
प्रवेश उत्सव का मुख्य कार्यक्रम विवेकानंद नगर माध्यमिक स्कूल में मनाया गया, जिसमें शिक्षण समिति के सभापति प्रा. दिलीप दिवे, उपसभापति प्रमोद तभाने, लक्ष्मीनगर जोन के सभापति प्रकाश भोयर, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, शिक्षाधिकारी प्रिती मिश्रीकोटकर, मुख्याध्यापिका रजनी वाघाडे, स्कूल निरीक्षक संजय दिघोरे, शाला प्रमुख श्री. दाभेकर, शाला व्यवस्थापन समिति की अध्यक्ष भुवनेश्वरी, श्यामकुमार शिव आदि ने विद्यार्थियों का स्वागत किया। कुछ स्कूलों में पहले दिन अतिथियों द्वारा पौधारोपण किया गया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन जया देव तथा आभार अर्चना बालेकर ने माना।
नागपुर : प्रदेश के गैर-कृषि विश्वविद्यालयों में 25 साल बाद खुले छात्रसंघ चुनाव होंगे। नागपुर विश्वविद्यालय में सितंबर माह में चुनाव होंगे। विवि ने चुनाव पूर्व तैयारियां शुरू कर दी हैं। 6 जुलाई को विश्वविद्यालय ने सभी छात्र संगठनों के प्रतिनिधियों की एक बैठक बुलाई है। इस बैठक के बाद 12 जुलाई को कॉलेज प्राचार्यों की बैठक होगी। इसमें छात्र संघ चुनाव से जुड़ी जानकारी दी जाएगी। इसके बाद विवि चुनावी कार्यक्रम जारी करेगा।
30 सितंबर के पूर्व चुनाव संपन्न करा लिए जाएंगे। छात्रसंघ अध्यक्ष और सचिव को विवि की सीनेट में जगह मिलेगी। अध्यक्ष को मैनेजमेंट काउंसिल में भी आमंत्रित किया जाएगा। विश्वविद्यालय के विद्यार्थी कल्याण बोर्ड को हर साल 31 जुलाई के पूर्व चुनावी कार्यक्रम जाहिर करके 30 सितंबर के पूर्व छात्र संघ का गठन करना जरूरी होगा। केवल नियमित विद्यार्थी ही चुनाव लड़ने के पात्र होंगे। चुनाव बैलेट पेपर से होगा। एक विद्यार्थी कुल पांच वोट देगा।
क्लास प्रतिनिधि, अध्यक्ष, सचिव, महिला प्रतिनिधि व आरक्षित उम्मीदवार को वोट दिए जाएंगे। यह छात्र परिषद विद्यार्थियों के विकास से जुड़े फैसले करेगी। सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों से लेकर परिसर में अनुशासन रखने और विद्यार्थियों में समन्वय और राष्ट्रीयता की भावना जागृत करने की दिशा में कार्य करेगी।
प्रदेश सरकार ने छात्र संघ चुनावों के लिए जारी नियमावाली में स्पष्ट किया है कि, चुनाव के मद्देनजर कोई भी प्रतिनिधि या संगठन कॉलेज या विवि परिसर में रैली नहीं निकाल सकेगा। यहां तक कि, चुनावी पोस्टर बैनर भी संस्थान द्वारा निर्धारित की गई जगह पर ही लगाए जा सकेंगे। नाव में प्रत्याशियों के खर्च पर भी अंकुश लगाया गया है। क्लास प्रतिनिधि का चुनाव लड़ने के लिए खर्च की अधिकतम सीमा 1000 रुपए और अन्य सीटों पर लड़ने के लिए अधिकतम सीमा 5000 रुपए निर्धारित की गई है। चुनावों में विद्यार्थियों और शिक्षा संस्थान से जुड़े वर्ग के अलावा किसी भी बाहरी व्यक्ति के दखल पर रोक लगाई गई है।
वहीं विद्यार्थियों को आगाह किया गया है कि, चुनाव के मद्देनजर उन्हें हिंसक या बहुत ज्यादा व्यवधान खड़े करने वाली गतिविधियों से दूर रहना होगा। राज्य सरकार ने छात्र संघ चुनावों में राजनीतिक दलों या धार्मिक संगठनों को दूर रखा है। चुनावी नियमों में स्पष्ट किया है कि, कोई भी विद्यार्थी या छात्र संगठन किसी भी राजनीतिक दल या धार्मिक अथवा जातिगत समूह का नाम, लोगो या तस्वीर का अपने चुनाव प्रचार में इस्तेमाल नहीं कर सकेगा।

नागपूर : नागपूर स्मार्ट अॅंन्ड सेफ सिटी प्रकल्पांतर्गत शहरात १३६ ठिकाणी वाफाय हॉटस्पॉट निर्माण करण्यात आले आहे. तर, १५६ ठिकाणी पब्लिक अनाऊंन्समेंट सिस्टमही लावण्यात आल्याची माहिती आहे. या प्रकल्पांतर्गत बहुतांश काम झाले असून, संपूर्ण प्रकल्पाचे काम जवळजवळ पूर्णत्वास आले असल्याचा दावा स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्प व्यवस्थापनाने केला आहे. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी २५ जून, २०१५ मध्ये स्मार्ट सिटीची घोषणा केली. नागपूर शहराचा दुसऱ्या टप्प्यात या प्रकल्पात समावेश करण्यात आला होता. मंगळवारला या प्रकल्पाला चार वर्ष पूर्ण झाले. या प्रकल्पाचा ५२० कोटीचा खर्च आहे. लार्सन अॅंड टुब्रो या कंपनीकडे हे काम आहे.
राज्य शासनाच्या माहिती व तंत्रज्ञान, नागपूर पोलिस आयुक्तालय व नागपूर स्मार्ट आणि सस्टेनेबल सिटी डेव्हलपमेंट कापोंरेशन लिमिटेड यांच्यातर्फे हा नागपूर सेफ अॅंड सेफ सिटी प्रकल्प राबविण्यात येत आहे. या प्रकल्पांतर्गत १०४५ किमी लांबीचे ऑप्टीकल फायबरचे नेटवर्क टाकण्यात आले. शहरातील ७०० जंक्शनवर ३३५० सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेरे बसविण्यात आले आहे. ४९ ठिकाणी विविध मेसेज साईनबोर्ड(वॅम्स)उभारण्यात आले. यासोबतच शहरातील १० ठिकाणी पर्यावरणसूचक सेंन्सर्स बसविण्यात आले. मनपा मुख्यालयात सिटी ऑपरेशन केंद्र तयार करण्यात आले. नागपूर पोलिस आयुक्तालयासाठीचे कमांड अॅंड कंट्रोल सेंटरचे बांधकाम प्रगतीपथावर आहे. या प्रकल्पामुळे गुन्हेगारीवर नियंत्रण ठेवण्यास पोलिस विभागाला मदत प्राप्त होईल. शहरातील वाहतुकीला शिस्त लावण्यासाठी इंटेलिजंट ट्राफिक मॅनेजमेंट सिस्टमची मदत होईल. मनपात उभारण्यात आलेल्या सिटी ऑपरेशन केंद्रामुळे नागरी सुविधा जलद गतीने पुरविता येणे शक्य होईल. एवढेच काय तर गतीमान, पारदर्शी आणि लोकाभिमुख प्रशासनाची संकल्पना प्रत्यक्षात साकार होईल असा दावा करण्यात येत आहे. यासोबतच ५ मोबाईल सर्व्हिलंन्स वाहन व ५ ड्रोन, २० आसीटी आधारीत घनकचरा व्यवस्थापन अंतर्गत स्मार्ट बिन, १० चौकांवर स्मार्ट ट्रॉफिक सिस्टीम, ६७ कारसाठी स्मार्ट पार्किंग, स्मार्ट बस परिवहन वाहतूक आणि २६ पोलिस स्थानकावर निगराणी सेंटरचा यात समावेश आहे.
– ६५० कोटींचे पायाभूत सुविधा प्रकल्प
नागपूर स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पाच्या अंतर्गत पारडी, भरतवाडा, पुनापूर व भांडेवाडी येथील क्षेत्राधिष्ठीत विकासासाठी ६५० कोटीचा प्रकल्प आहे. यात रस्ते, पुल, मोऱ्या, विद्युतीकरण, मलनि:स्सारण संबंधीत कामे करण्यात येत आहे. यात ५२ किलोमीटरचे स्मार्ट रस्ते, २९ पुलांचा समावेश आहे. त्यासोबतच पाणीपुरवठा, मलनि:स्सारण व्यवस्था, एलईडी पथदिवे, सायकल ट्रक, पदपथ आदींचा समावेश आहे. १८ महिन्यात हा प्रकल्प पूर्ण करावयाचा आहे. या प्रकल्पांमुळे आयुष्याची गुणवत्ता व सुरक्षा सुधारेल, वर्धित वाहन मार्ग, रस्त्याचे चिन्ह, छेदनबिंदूसह सुधारीत रोड नेटवर्क पादचारीच्या सुरक्षेकरीता क्रॉसिंग सुविधा उपलब्ध होईल. दिव्यांग व्यक्ती आणि ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांना सुविधा मिळेल. सायकलट्रॅक व पदपथासह वहतूक व्यवस्था, रोजगाराच्या संधी, प्रवास वेळेत महत्वपूर्ण बचत आणि वाहन ऑपरेशन खर्चामध्ये घट, सतत पाणीपुरवठा, कार्यक्षम घन कचरा व्यवस्थापन, आरोग्य आणि स्वच्छतेत सुधारणा आदींचा १ लाख १३ हजार लोकसंख्येला याचा थेट फायदा मिळेल.

नागपूर : बनावट दस्तऐवज व मूळ मालकाऐवजी अन्य एका व्यक्तीला मालक दाखवून दलालाने प्लॉटची परस्पर विक्री केली. आर्थिक गुन्हे शाखा पोलिसांनी केलेल्या तपासानंतर ही घटना समोर आली. याप्रकरणी बेलतरोडी पोलिसांनी दलालासह दोघांविरुद्ध फसवणुकीचा गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे. दलाल उमेश यादव आणि तोतया आनंदकुमार महेंद्रकुमार झा ,अशी गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आलेल्यांची नावे आहेत.
मूळ झारखंड येथील आनंदकुमार महेंद्र झा (वय ६१, रा. अमर टॉवर,यशोधरानगर) हे वेकोलित कार्यरत होते. त्यांनी सोमलवाडा येथे दीड हजार चौरस फुटांचा प्लॉट खरेदी केला होता. सध्या या प्लॉटची किमती ६० लाखांपेक्षा अधिक आहे. दलाल यादव याने आनंदकुमार ऐवजी अन्य एका व्यक्तीचे आनंदकुमार झा नावाने बनावट आधार कार्ड, पॅन कार्ड तयार केले. त्याआधारे दोघांनी हा प्लॉट ट्युशन क्लासचे संचालक भूषण किशोर मुळे यांना ३८ लाख रुपयांमध्ये विकला. मुळे यांनी हा प्लॉट बँकेत गहाण ठेऊन तेथे घर बांधले. यादरम्यान प्लॉटचे मूळ मालक आनंदकुमार झा यांनी प्लॉटचे ‘प्रॉपर्टी कार्ड’ काढले असता त्यांना प्लॉट भूषण मुळे यांच्या मालकीचा असल्याचे दिसले. त्यांना धक्का बसला. त्यांनी मुळे यांच्याकडे चौकशी केली.
दलाल उमेश यादव याच्या मदतीने हा प्लॉट खरेदी करून घर बांधल्याचे मुळे यांनी मूळ मालक झा यांना सांगितले. झा यांनी आर्थिक गुन्हे शाखेत तक्रार केली. आर्थिक गुन्हे शाखेचे वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक हेमंतकुमार खराबे यांनी तपास करून यादव तोतया मालकाविरुद्ध फसवणुकीचा गुन्हा दाखल केला. अशा प्रकारे फसवणूक झालेल्या प्लॉट रकांनी आर्थिक गुन्हे शाखा किंवा ०७१२-२५६६६०० या क्रमांकावर संपर्क साधावा, असे आवाहन खराबे यांनी केले आहे.
Nagpur : From last five years all private engineering colleges of Maharashtra state are struggling hard to fill admissions to first year degree courses. Though subsequent Chief Ministers tried to resolve the issue, they failed to find the solution. With a fear of facing the same situation this year, too, a delegation of engineering colleges on Tuesday met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis requesting him to lower down eligibility criterion from 50% to 45% for the students of open category and from 45% to 40% for the reserved category students. The college managements while talking said, “The result of Class XII this year is not upto the mark. Naturally, number of students having good score is less.
Secondly, there is a change in the mindset of students as far as opting for engineering. Most of the students have shown inclination to pursue basic science. This is creating problems for the self-financed technical institutions to sustain.” In a letter to Chief Minister, colleges have appealed, “Present eligibility criteria should be lowered down. We want to attract your attention towards some states like Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab which have already relaxed their eligibility criteria as per the guidelines of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) that supports the demand of colleges. We feel it will help in garnering good admissions.” Colleges argued, “After the present result, it is observed that the students scoring brilliantly in JEE (Mains and Advanced) have failed miserably in scoring marks in PCM in state board examinations.
This implies that there could be lack of co-ordination or understanding examination pattern rather than students’ academic incompetency.Hence,it is requested to pay a kind consideration to relax admission criteria which would doubly benefit the students as well as the colleges, which would face less problem in getting admission.”
Percentile issue to be the headache
After facing problem in software, now process of admissions to degree engineering courses is likely to suffer from percentile issue. Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell did valuation of MHT CET and allot percentile instead of marks. Unfortunately, it has not developed any system that could convert percentile into percentage. MHT CET was conducted on 12 days in 24 sessions. It was divided in three groups– Physics Chemistry Biology (PCB), Physics Chemistry Mathematics (PCM) and Physics Chemistry Mathematics and Biology (PCMB). All the three groups have several students eligible to get admission.
Every session and every group has a topper with all scoring same percentile. Suppose there are 24 students scoring same percentile then there is no system that could decide who is the single topper. Obviously it will pose problem when allotment of seats take place. If Government does not come up with the software that could convert the percentile into percentage then the admission process again face the mess.
Nagpur : The pristine atmosphere of Ambazari garden is getting sullied due to lack of maintenance on part of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). A pride of city, the garden used to be teeming with families throughout the year and was favourite haunt for Nagpurians of every age. Be it morning walkers who enjoyed the serene atmosphere and kept themselves fit, to afternoon hours when children under watchful eyes of parents used to indulged in fun and frolic.
But the fortunes of Ambazari started declining due to lofty ideas floated by policy makers knowing well that it is next to impossible to implement the same. That, however, did not stop politicians from selling dreams to Nagpurians of developing park on the lines of one in Singapore while others dropped hints of upgrading it to international standards. “Much water has flown down since these announcements were made and in process it only led to further deterioration in conditions at Ambazari,” said N L Sawarkar, General Secretary, Jansamsya Nivaran Sangarsha Samiti.
He said authorities have turned a blind eye to the situation and now things have come to such a pass that scrap material heaps are rising inside the garden. Very soon the entire area might be enveloped with waste material and unwanted things and this would even turn away few faithfuls who still continue to visit the garden and spend some quality time.
“Samiti has been at forefront of saving the garden but systematic efforts are on to destroy the beauty,” Sawarkar further alleged. “We senior citizens of Ambazari area are committed to preservation of the lake and the garden and from time to time take-up the issue with authorities. But beyond assurances nothing much has materialised and it pains to see the current sorry state of affairs.”
If the lack of maintenance of garden was not enough, the roads around the garden too are being converted into garbage heap by the authorities as waste material is liberally dumped by road side. Right from Ambazari T-point one has to walk carefully as slight wind pressure leads to blowing of dust in one’s eyes. One can see the heaps of unwanted material also near the compound wall of university campus. Tar roads excavated from various parts are found dumped by the road side thereby throwing all conservation norms to wind.
नागपूर : शाहिद कपूर की फिल्म कबीर सिंह बॉक्स ऑफिस पर रिकॉर्डतोड़ कमाई कर रही है. फिल्म को रिलीज के बाद से ट्रोल किया जा रहा है. लेकिन मूवी लवर्स को आलोचनाओं से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता. तमाम विवादों को दरकिनार कर वे शाहिद की फिल्म को एंटरटेनिंग बता रहे हैं. कबीर सिंह के शोज वीकडेज में भी हाउसफुल जा रहे हैं. फिल्म ने 5 दिन में 100 करोड़ का आंकड़ा पार कर लिया है.
ट्रेड एनालिस्ट तरण आदर्श ने पांचवें दिन का कलेक्शन शेयर किया है. फिल्म ने मंगलवार को 16.53 करोड़ का कारोबार किया है. जिसके बाद फिल्म का टोटल कलेक्शन 104.90 करोड़ रुपए हो गया है. बतौर सोलो एक्टर कबीर सिंह 100 करोड़ क्लब में शामिल होने वाली शाहिद की पहली फिल्म है. तरण आदर्श ने मूवी को ब्लॉकबस्टर घोषित किया है.
कमाल की बात ये है कि इस साल रिलीज हुई बड़ी फिल्मों के मुकाबले कबीर सिंह कम स्क्रीन्स (3123) पर रिलीज हुई थी. बावजूद इसके शाहिद की फिल्म बॉक्स ऑफिस पर धमाल मचा रही है.
कबीर सिंह, शाहिद कपूर के करियर की सबसे बड़ी फिल्म बनकर उभरी है. शाहिद कपूर फिल्म की सफलता से काफी खुश हैं. इसका अंदाजा आजकल शाहिद कपूर के सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट से लगता है. कबीर सिंह ने इस साल रिलीज हुई बड़ी-बड़ी फिल्मों को बॉक्स ऑफिस पर चुनौती दे डाली है. वीकडेज में जिस तरह से कबीर सिंह कमाई कर रही है आमतौर पर फिल्में वीकेंड में भी इतना कलेक्शन नहीं कर पाती हैं.

उधर, कबीर सिंह की कहानी और शाहिद कपूर के कैरेक्टर पर बवाल मचा हुआ है. मूवी में शाहिद कपूर का कैरेक्टर महिला विरोधी बताया जा रहा है. कबीर सिंह का बिगड़ैल, पागल और गुस्सैल शाहिद कई लोगों की आंखों की किरकिरी बन गया है. शोभा डे के बाद सेंसर बोर्ड की एक मेंबर ने भी कबीर सिंह के कंटेंट पर सवाल उठाया है. वहीं कुछ डॉक्टर्स ने कबीर सिंह के जरिए मेडिकल प्रोफेशन की गलत छवि पेश करने का आरोप लगाया है.
नागपूर : रेल्वे स्थानकावर वडिलांच्या बाजूलाच झोपलेल्या एका अल्पवयीन मुलीला पळवून नेणाऱ्यास जबलपूर-अमरावती एक्स्प्रेसमध्ये पकडण्यात आले. मनोजकुमार महतो (३७, खरगिया बिहार) असे आरोपीचे नाव आहे.
मध्यप्रदेशातील ही पीडित बालिका १३ वर्षांची आहे. सोमवारी सकाळी उपचारांसाठी तिचे वडील तिला घेऊन नागपूरला आले होते. रामदासपेठ परिसरातील एका खासगी रुग्णालयात उपचार घेतल्यानंतर रात्रीच्या अमरावती-जबलपूर पॅसेंजरने घरी जाण्यासाठी वडील मुलीला घेऊन नागपूर रेल्वे स्थानकावर गेले.
गाडीला वेळ असल्याने वडील व मुलगी दोघेही प्लॅटफॉर्म क्रमांक १ वर झोपले. रात्री ११ च्या सुमारास वडिलांना जाग आली तेव्हा मुलगी बाजूला नव्हती. ते घाबरले. त्यांनी सर्वत्र शोध घेतला. मात्र, ती कुठेच सापडली नाही. त्यामुळे ते आरपीएफ ठाण्यात गेले. तेथे उपनिरीक्षक होतीलाल मीना आणि उपनिरीक्षक गौरीशंकर एडले यांनी लगेच सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेरे तपासले. त्यात आरोपी मुलीला घेऊन जात असल्याचे स्पष्ट झाले. ही मुलगी गतिमंद आहे. त्याचा फायदा आरोपीने घेतला.
१२१५९ जबलपूर- अमरावती एक्स्प्रेसमध्ये आरोपी मुलीसह चढत असल्याचे सीसीटीव्हीमध्ये आढळले. त्यामुळे या गाडीत तैनात आरपीएफ जवानांना लगेच कळविण्यात आले. आरपीएफ जवानांनी या गाडीची तपासणी केली असता जनरल बोगीमध्ये आरोपी मुलीसह बसलेला आढळला. त्याला इटारसीला उतरविण्यात आले. मंगळवारी आरोपीला मुलीसह नागपूरला आणण्यात आले. आरपीएफने आवश्यक कार्यवाही करून आरोपीला लोहमार्ग पोलिसांच्या ताब्यात दिले. लोहमार्ग पोलिसांनी त्याला ‘पोक्सा’अंतर्गत अटक केली आहे.
अपहरणकर्ता मनोजकुमारला ३ मुली आणि दोन मुले आहेत. तो यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यातील वणी येथे बारदाण्याचे काम करतो. पगार मिळाल्याने तो घरी जाण्यासाठी सोमवारी नागपूर रेल्वे स्थानकावर आला. त्याला पीडित मुलगी दिसली. दारूच्या नशेत तिला पळविल्याचे तो पोलिसांना सांगतो.
नागपूर : प्राप्तीकर विभागाने मंगळवारी शहरातील बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांवर कर चुकवल्याच्या संशयावरून कारवाई केली आहे. या बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांच्या निवासस्थान व कार्यालयांवर ही कारवाई करण्यात आली असून, रात्री उशिरापर्यंत सुरू असलेल्या या कारवाईत अनेक कागदपत्रे व इतर महत्त्वाचे साहित्य जप्त करण्यात आल्याची माहिती आहे. विशेष म्हणजे, कारवाई करण्यात आलेल्या सर्व बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांची एकमेकांसोबत भागीदारी होती व या माध्यमातून त्यांनी कर चुकवल्याच्या माहितीवरूनच ही कारवाई करण्यात आली आहे. बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांवर अलीकडच्या काळातील ही सर्वांत मोठी कारवाई असल्याचे बोलल्या जात आहे.
प्राप्तीकर विभागातील सूत्रांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, या बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांच्या नागपूर, चंद्रपूर व यवतमाळ येथील कार्यालये व निवासस्थानी ही कारवाई करण्यात आल्याची माहिती आहे. एकूण सहा ते सात बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांवर ही कारवाई करण्यात आली असून, यात अतुल यमसनवार, प्रशांत बोंगीरवार, सुधीर कुण्णावर, चंद्रकांत पद्मावार, विश्वास चकनलवार यांच्यासह इतर काही बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांचा समावेश आहे. विशेष म्हणजे, कर चुकवण्यासाठी या बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांची भागीदारी असल्याचेही पुढे आले आहे. भागीदारीच्या माध्यमातून या व्यावसायिकांनी कर चुकवला असल्याची माहिती सूत्रांनी दिली.
या सर्व बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांचे नागपूरसह चंद्रपूर व यवतमाळ येथे कार्यालय असून याठिकाणी निवासी संकुलांचे काम सुरू आहे. या बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांनी मोठ्या प्रमाणात कर चुकवल्याच्या संशयावरून विभागातर्फे मंगळवारी सकाळीच या व्यावसायिकांवर धाड टाकण्यात आली. प्राप्तीकर विभागातर्फे एकूण २० ठिकाणी ही कारवाई करण्यात आल्याची माहिती आहे. एकाच वेळी इतक्या मोठ्या प्रमाणात बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांवर करण्यात आलेल्या कारवाईमुळे या क्षेत्रात खळबळ उडाली आहे. कारवाई करण्यात आलेल्या बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांमध्ये अनेकजण भागीदार असल्याची माहिती सूत्रांनी दिली आहे. कर चुकवण्याच्या हेतूने या समूहांनी भागिदारी दाखवली आहे. त्यामुळे ही कारवाई करण्यात आल्याची माहिती सूत्रांनी दिली आहे.
सकाळपासूनच या व्यावसायिकांच्या कार्यालय व निवासस्थानी कारवाई करण्यात आली. यात अनेक कागदपत्रे जप्त करण्यात आली आहे. इतकेच नव्हे तर या व्यावसायिकांच्या लॉकर्सची तपासणी करण्यात आली आहे. एकाच वेळी तीन शहरांमध्ये करण्यात आलेल्या कारवाईत प्राप्तीकर विभागाचे १५० हून अधिक अधिकारी व कर्मचारी होते. पहिल्यांदाच इतक्या मोठ्या प्रमाणात बांधकाम व्यावसायिकांवर ही कारवाई करण्यात आल्याने पुढील दोन दिवस ही कारवाई सुरूच राहील, अशी शक्यता प्राप्तीकर विभागाच्या सूत्रांनी व्यक्त केली आहे. कारवाई दरम्यान अनेक महत्त्वाची कागदपत्रे जप्त करण्यात आल्याने यात आणखी काही बिल्डर्सही सहभागी आहेत का, हेदेखील स्पष्ट होण्याची शक्यता आहे. त्यामुळे शहरातील बिल्डर्सचे धाबे चांगलेच दणाणले आहेत.
नागपूर : पेंट खरेदी करून दोघांनी हार्डवेअर व्यापाऱ्याची सुमारे आठ लाख रुपयांनी फसवणूक केली. या प्रकरणी सक्करदरा पोलिसांनी दोघांविरुद्ध गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे. विशालकुमार मेसर्स क्रिएटिव्ह मार्केटिंगचा व्यवस्थापक व सुरेश सी. देसाई अशी गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आलेल्यांची नावे आहेत. राजू मधुकरराव नानोटकर (वय ४२, रा. दत्तात्रयनगर) यांनी दिलेल्या तक्रारीवरून हा गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला.
नानोटकर यांचे बिडीपेठ येथे मेसर्स शैला सेल्स कॉर्पोरेशन अॅण्ड हार्डवेअर नावाचे दुकान आहे. धंतोलीतील यशवंत स्टेडियममध्ये क्रिएटिव्ह कंपनीचे कार्यालय असल्याचे सांगून मी संचालक व शासकीय कंत्राटदार आहे. शासकीय कार्यालयांना रंगरंगोटी करण्याचे कंत्राट मिळाले आहे, त्यासाठी पेंटची आवश्यकता आहे, असे विशालकुमारने नानोटकर यांना मोबाइलवर सांगितले.
१७ डिसेंबरला नानोटकर यांनी सुरेश देसाई याला दरपत्रक दिले. त्यानंतर देसाईने त्यांना एशियन पेंटचे ७५ डबे आणि डिलक्स पेंटचे १०५ डबे वाडी भागात पोहोचविण्यास सांगितले. नानोटकर यांनी आठ लाख रुपये किमतीचा पेंट व अन्य साहित्य वाडी भागात पोहोचविले. या मोबदल्यात दोघांनी नानोटकर यांना काही रक्कम व धनादेश दिले. मात्र ते वटले नाहीत.
नानोटकर यांनी चौकशी केली असता कंपनीचे कोणतेही गोदाम व कार्यालय नसल्याचे समोर आले. नानोटकर यांनी सक्करदरा पोलिस स्टेशन गाठून तक्रार दिली. पोलिसांनी फसवणुकीचा गुन्हा दाखल करून तपास सुरू केला आहे.

Yet little is known about what the filmmakers went through to achieve this episodic spectacle. Filmmakers Kevin Keator, Fred D’Amelia and Nik Halik, not only risked their freedom but their very lives!

“When we started this project, I would have never have believed what the next couple years would be like. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be ascending into a volcano, sleeping next to an erupting lava lake, or being detained by Egyptian authorities as a suspected Israeli operative, let alone accidentally exposing myself to toxic radiation in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, lamented Kevin Keator in a recent interview.
Moving from basecamp on the top ridge of the Volcano to the interior involved a treacherous 2 hour rope decent nearly the height of the Empire State Building, but as Kevin Keator explains, it was crucial to creating their vision. “It was imperative that we got good shots in the morning, we wanted to get the lighting just right, so we thought the best way to achieve this was staying the night at the very bottom of the caldera.” Kevin went on to say, “Sure we knew the risks it wasn’t our first time being at the bottom of a volcano as we did it a year prior for scouting, but it was something we felt we had to do. On top of that, when you try to tell Nik he can’t do something, you can be sure he’s not going to listen”.

As a testament to the inherent dangers of Volcanoes, the Marum cone of Ambrym Volcano, the same volcanic cone they descended into, suddenly collapsed near the end of 2018 after 10 years of continuously erupting. The resulting disappearance of this natural marvel making the footage captured by the documentary show Visiting even more important of a treasure. When asked about the sudden collapse of the volcano team slept in, Fred D’Amelia had this to say.“I was relieved to find out that no one was hurt during its collapse”. Continuing he said, “We made good friends with the natives and the other adventurers such as Geoff Mackley who guided us into the volcano. I was really not shocked that a collapse didn’t happen when we were there, I could feel the ground breathing with occasional micro tremors and landslides. Even on our short visit of only 8 days, I got the sense we were on borrowed time.”
Because of the vast subjects covered by Visiting, such as “War” and “Civilization”, the production team continued to find themselves in unique places around the globe. During their year-long production, the crew visited over 9 countries, each filled with its own trials and tribulations.
Fred D’Amelia recalled, “of all the countries I visited during this production, the most surreal was Ukraine, most specifically the Chernobyl Exclusion zone. Instead of making a movie, I felt like I was living in one.”
While filming in Chernobyl there was an unexpected turn of events, as one of the crew members, Kevin Keator, had legitimate concerns for his health. While flying the drone he accidentally inhaled potentially radioactive dust and organic debris! “Before going into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, we are given a list of do’s and don’ts. Unfortunately, for our health, we have never been very good at following rules”, `said Keator. For the most part the exclusion zone, is relatively harmless in short exposure, however the moss that grows on the ground is highly radioactive, due to it absorbing the fallout and radioactive dust that once spewed from the reactor during it’s meltdown in 1986. Kevin recalled, “This is something I forgot as I was flying the drone. Needless to say, at one point I flew too close to myself and a massive cloud of debris and radioactive moss engulfed me. We will see what happens long terms and If the shot was truly worth it.” Kevin humorously commented during the interview.
The Documentary show Visiting is a show of unique portions, not just on the range of subjects they cover, but to the extent they went to capture the stunning imagery of the Visitor exploring our world. As for now, Visiting is only airing on Foxtel 4k in Australia, but according to the Producers you can expect to see it worldwide in the coming months!

Nagpur : A 39 years old male, from Betul, MP, came to Orange City Hospital & Research Institute with h/o severe pain & weakness in Lt. Leg and difficulty in walking since 6 months. He was diagnosed as Neurofibromatosis Lt. Leg with neuropathy and had been attending various hospitals of City and Central India and even approached AIIMS and Medanta Hospital, New Delhi but no relief. They were conveyed that there is chance of losing power in left leg after surgery. He used to shrike in pain due to the radiating pain caused by compression of two main nerves by the tumors. He came to OCHRI after being counselled by his father. He was admitted under care of Dr. Shailesh Kelkar- OCHRI Senior Neurosurgeon. He was thoroughly investigated and diagnosed as Neurofibromatosis encasing the Left femoral and Left Tibial nerves with related Neuropathy. Inspite of risks involved; his relatives having complete faith on OCHRI due to previous successful treatment gained by many of Betul residents since last 23 years; consented for surgical intervention by Dr. Shailesh Kelkar as it was very unbearably painful for the patient.
Dr. Shailesh Kelkar said that “Neurofibromas tend to encase the nerve roots, in contrast to schwannomas which commonly displace the nerve root due to their asymmetric growth. Schwannomas are usually round, whereas Neurofibromas are more commonly fusiform.” This patient was suffering from Plexiform Neurofibromatosis and had to be excised as it was causing compressive symptoms on two important left leg nerves, he added.
The intricate surgery for resection of rare and complicatedly positioned tumors over both Left Femoral & Tibial nerves was performed by Dr. Shailesh Kelkar. Dr. Neeta Deshpande-Anesthetist provided the necessary anesthesia. Dr. Kavita Dhurvey, SMO Incharge- Surgery and Sr. Geetanjali assisted them. Dr. Rajesh Atal, Critical Care Physician look after pre & post-operative management. Dr. Milind Pande- Pathologist and Dr. Nishikant Lokhande, Radiologist rendered diagnostic support while full time round the clock team of medical officers Dr. Mayur, Dr. Usha, Dr. Swati, Dr. Rivyani led by Dr. Anit Prakash, SMO I/c Wards provided necessary post op care. Smt.Nisha Ashok and Sr. Jaismita Bhongale led nursing & paramedical team in Operation theatre and wards while Dr.Atul Dekate led the team of Physiotherapists. The surgery was uneventful and post operatively; he was happy, ambulatory and discharged home. The relatives thanked TEAM OCHRI led by Dr. Shailesh Kelkar for the care and concern.

नागपूर : नागपुरातील वस्त्यांमध्ये ‘आपली बस’ पोहचावी आणि प्रवाशांचा प्रवास सुखकर व्हावा, या हेतूने नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या परिवहन विभागाच्या वतीने ‘आपली बस’च्या ताफ्यात मिनी बस दाखल करण्यात आली. सहा मिनी बसचे लोकार्पण मंगळवारी (ता. २६) आमदार कृष्णा खोपडे यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले.
सतरंजीपुरा चौक येथे आयोजित कार्यक्रमात स्थायी समितीचे सभापती प्रदीप पोहाणे, परिवहन समितीचे सभापती बंटी कुकडे,सदस्य नितीन साठवणे, संजय महाजन,सतरंजीपुरा झोन सभापती अभिरुची राजगिरे, नेहरू नगर झोन सभापती समिता चकोले, नगरसेविका मनिषा कोठे, परिवहन व्यवस्थापक शिवाजी जगताप, प्रशासकीय अधिकारी रवींद्र पागे, श्रम अधिकारी अरुण पिपुरडे, बस ऑपरेटर ट्रॅव्हल टाईमचे सदानंद काळकर, आर.के.सिटीचे नीलमणी गुप्ता, हंसा ट्रॅव्हल्सचे जे.पी. पारेख, डीम्सचे टीम लीडर सूर्यकांत अंबाडेकर यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती होती.

याप्रसंगी बोलताना आमदार कृष्णा खोपडे म्हणाले, नागपूर शहरातील खासगी वाहतूक कमी व्हावी यासाठी सार्वजनिक वाहतूक सक्षम बनविण्याचा प्रयत्न नागपूर महानगरपालिका आणि स्थानिक नेतृत्वाच्या वतीने होत आहे. मुख्य रस्त्यांसोबतच अनेक वस्त्यांमधील लहान रस्त्यांवर असलेल्या लोकांनाही ‘आपली बस’ची सेवा मिळावी या हेतून मिनी बस आता मनपा परिवहन विभागाच्या ताफ्यात दाखल झाली आहे. अशा आणखी बसेस आणण्याचा मानस असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
सभापती जितेंद्र (बंटी) कुकडे म्हणाले, परिवहन सेवा पर्यावरणपूरक करण्याचा आमचा मानस आहे. त्यादृष्टीने परिवहन समितीचे प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत. अर्थसंकल्पातही त्या दृष्टीने तरतूद करण्यात आली आहे. ‘चलो’ ॲपच्या माध्यमातून परिवहन सेवा अधिकाधिक लोकाभिमुख बनविण्याचा आमचा प्रयत्न आहे. महिलांसाठी लवकरच ‘तेजस्विनी’ बसही ‘आपली बस’च्या ताफ्यात दाखल होत आहे. लोकांनी या सेवेचा उपयोग करावा, असे आवाहन त्यांनी यावेळी केली.
मिनी बसचे लोकार्पण झाल्यानंतर कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित नागरिकांनीही बसमध्ये प्रवास केला. कार्यक्रमाला मनपाचे पदाधिकारी, अधिकारी व परिसरातील नागरिक मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते.
Nagpur : Internet of Things (IoT) has come into play with Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) coming up with smart solution to cut down use of electricity in use for street lights. The pilot project is undertaken as part of Smart Strip on West High Court on the directions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. A more well known idea introduced on Smart Strip is wi-fi that is available for free to citizens thronging the street that is sought to be fashioned as shopping cum recreation centre as the time passes by.
About 383 streetlights affixed on the stretch from Japanese Garden Square till Khamla Square is fitted with electronic sensors that are activated by movement of vehicles or any other object. The idea is to conserve electricity that is wasted due to unnecessary illumination when movement of vehicles is negligible on the street, explained Ramnath Sonwane, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NSSCDCL, while talking the other day.
IoT comes into play as sensors connect to server placed in NSSCDCL Control and Operations Centre that undertake real time analytics and relay back commands that help in determining quantum of illumination to be provided on the street at required place. Basically lighting levels are adjusted depending upon traffic density. The data is relayed using the wi-fi network and fast calculations enable automatic switching on/of the lighting as per pre-programmed design. This again involves use of information communication technology (ICT) though which data is exchanged. It also helps in metering the energy consumption as also the savings when compared with similar street lights in other parts. The ambient lighting technique is right now under test and after analysis decision on its expansion to other busy streets would be taken.
The smart strip covers prominent squares like Ladies Club, Ahimsa Square, Law College Square, Shankar Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, PTS and thereafter Khamla and throughout the day and particularly in evening they are perennially busy with criss-cross movement of vehicles. Barring Ahimsa Square near MLA Square and the junction near High Court the rest of the road is teeming with vehicles and more so during evening it reaches the peak. So the saving of electricity during peak evening time is next to impossible. Only past midnight when the vehicular traffic slacks down the lights is dimmed resulting in saving of power. The entire stretch is monitored through Street Lighting Control and Monitoring Dashboard and Web Portal in operation’s room located at NMC’s Civil Lines office.
The officials monitoring the lighting project also stated that the sensors also automatically switch on and shut off the streetlights on sunrise and sunset and it is called autonomous ambient lighting. Even during night time whenever a vehicle passes-by the dimmed street lights come into active mode, around 10 of them are activated, to provide adequate illumination on the required road stretch. After the vehicle crosses a certain distance the light again dims and goes into power saving mode. In this mode the available illumination on the entire smart street is 30 per cent and this method helps in controlling power bill to a large extent.
Many advantages of using IoT technology In countries using IoT based technology for years, the switch over to smart street lighting has provided immense advantages, mainly relating to reduction in carbon footprint as emissions are controlled. Apart from that the savings in power bills is added benefit and also the inherent gains due to extending life of the luminaries. Similarly as every street light is monitored in the scheme, the maintenance is improved ensuring adequate illumination throughout the year.
Nagpur : Thousands of pilgrims from across the country would embark for Haj journey from the night of July 3. Air India, the State-run airlines firm, has made special arrangements for the pilgrims leaving for Kingdom Saudi Arabia. About 500 flights would take off for Jeddah and the holy city of Medina from India. For this Airbus 320, Boeing 777, 737 and 747 aircraft of Air India would be used. However, to provide special flights for Haj, the crisis-ridden Air India would have to cancel many scheduled flights during the period of Haj while rescheduling several other flights.
Many Air India flights are already grounded due to financial crisis. Due to this, the existing planes are being run on extended routes. Now, to provide 500 more flights for Haj, the airlines is left with no other choice but to cancel or reschedule the existing flights.
Apart from Air India, Saudi Arabia Airlines too will take pilgrims to the holy city. The coordinator of Maharashtra embarkation point Haji Ibrahim said that the Indian government has signed a deal with the Saudi government, according to which the two airlines will carry 50-50 per cent of the passengers and bring them back to India. Both airlines are expected to get around 70-70 thousand pilgrims each.
For the first time, pilgrims have deposited money for forward booking. In 2018, there was a considerable loss due to weak rupee and increased travel time. Currently, deposit has been made at rs72 for one USD basis. In case the dollar weakens in future, pilgrims would get the difference amount back. However, if rupee becomes weak then pilgrims would not have to shell out more.
Dr. Maqsood Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of the Haj Committee of India, told that in many states like Punjab, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, there is no waiting list. Waiting in some other states too is quite low. However, in Maharashtra the waiting list is highest with 20000 waiting for their turn. Nagpur’s quota is of 2500 pilgrims.
The Haj is performed over six days in the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah (the month of Haj).
All arrangements are in place at the Haj Terminal of KAIA to receive the pilgrims, process their passports and group them to go either to Makkah or Madinah.
The huge complex has 14 integrated lounges well equipped to provide the pilgrims with all the required services. They contain special desks for passports, customs, a medical center, a medical team to vaccinate the pilgrims and detect any contagious diseases, a branch of the Ministry of Haj and Umrah, and offices of the United Agents and other utilities.
नागपूर : या वर्षाच्या अखेरीस युनायटेड नेशन सेक्रेटरी जर्नल क्लायमेट ॲक्शन समीट आणि कॉप-२५ (COP-25)चे आयोजन करण्यात येत आहे. समीटमध्ये यशस्वी सहभागाच्या नियोजनाच्या दृष्टीने पॅरिस (फ्रान्स) येथे जीकॉमच्या सदस्यांच्या बैठकीचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. या बैठकीसाठी महापौर नंदा जिचकार मंगळवारी (ता. २५) फ्रान्सला रवाना होता आहे.
महापौर नंदा जिचकार ह्या ग्लोबल कोव्हेनन्ट ऑफ मेयर्स (जीकॉम) या परिषदेवर दक्षिण आशियातून एकमेव बोर्ड सदस्य आहेत. २६ आणि २७ जून रोजी जीकॉमच्या संचालक मंडळाची बैठक असून त्यात त्या सहभागी होतील. सदर बैठकीत नोव्हेंबर २०१९ मध्ये होणाऱ्या परिषदेतील विषय आणि नियोजनाबाबत चर्चा होणार असून त्यात त्या सहभागी होतील.
नागपूर : नागपूर रेल्वेस्थानकाच्या आरक्षण तिकीट केंद्रात तसेच प्लॅटफॉर्मवर चोरट्यांनी धुमाकूळ घातला आहे. पहिली घटना प्लॅटफॉर्म क्रमांक पाचवर २३ जूनच्या मध्यरात्री घडली. सत्यम नारायण दुबे (३०, मोदाहा, उत्तरप्रदेश) हे झोपले असताना चोरट्याने त्यांचा १२ हजार २७८ रुपये किंमतीचा मोबाइल चोरून नेला.
दुसरी घटना पहाटे ५.३० वाजताच्या सुमारास प्लॅटफॉर्म क्रमांक पाचवर घडली. यवतमाळ येथील कृष्णा एकनाथ शाहू हे वणीला जाण्याकरिता नागपूर रेल्वेस्थानकावर आले होते. नंदीग्राम एक्स्प्रेसची ते वाट पाहात होते. गाडीला उशीर असल्यामुळे त्यांना झोप लागली. त्याचा फायदा घेत केसल लालजी सिंग (२०, रा. मुंबई) याने त्यांचा ११ हजार ७०० रुपये किमतीचा मोबाइल लंपास केला. मोबाइल दिसत नसल्याने शाहू यांनी लोहमार्ग पोलिस ठाणे गाठत मोबाइल चोरी झाल्याची तक्रार केली.
पोलिसांनी सीसीटीव्हीत तपासणी केली असता आरोपी केसल सिंग हा मोबाइल लंपास करताना दिसला. त्वरित त्याला पोलिसांनी हुडकून काढले. त्याच्यावर चोरीचा गुन्हा नोंदविण्यात आला. पुढील कारवाई लोहमार्ग पोलिस करीत आहेत.
नागपूर : महावितरणने ठाणे सर्कलमधील मुंब्रा, शीळ, कळवा आणि नाशिक झोनमधील मालेगाव या भागांचा वीजवितरण व देखभाल दुरुस्तीची जबाबदारी फ्रॅन्चायझी तत्त्वावर देण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. एकीकडे राज्यात फ्रॅन्चायझी मॉडेल अपयशी ठरल्यानंतर महावितरणकडून पुन्हा एकदा आणखी काही शहरातील भागांसाठी खासगी फ्रॅन्चायझींची नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. महावितरणच्या या निर्णयाला विरोध होऊ लागला आहे.
महावितरण व्यवस्थापनाने घेतलेल्या या निर्णयाबद्दल महाराष्ट्र स्टेट इलेक्ट्रिसिटी वर्कर्स फेडरेशनच्या वीज कामगार अभियंता संघटना कृती समितीने विरोध केला आहे. यासंबंधीचे आदेश रद्द करावे, या मागणीकरता सोमवारी कृती समितीतर्फे काटोल रोड येथील महावितरणच्या प्रादेशिक संचालक कार्यालयासमोर द्वार सभा घेण्यात आली. या द्वारसभेत कर्मचाऱ्यांनी निदर्शने करत शासन व प्रशासनाच्या निषेध करत फ्रॅन्चायझी देण्याचे आदेश रद्द करण्याची मागणी केली. त्याचबरोबर फ्रॅन्चायझी धोरणाला महानिर्मिती, महापारेषण व महावितरण कंपनीतील सर्वच संघटनांचा विरोध असल्याचे स्पष्ट करण्यात आले.
विशेष म्हणजे, यासंबंधी ऊर्जामंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांच्यासह ऊर्जा सचिव, महावितरण कंपनीचे अध्यक्ष व व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक यांना कृती समितीतर्फे विरोध करणारे पत्र देण्यात आले. या पत्राला अनुसरूनच निदर्शने करण्यात आली. राज्यात प्रत्येक झोन, सर्कल व विभागीय कार्यालयासमोर द्वार सभांचे आयोजन करण्यात येत आहे.
नागपूर कार्यालयासमोर झालेल्या द्वारसभेत महाराष्ट्र स्टेट इलेक्ट्रिसिटी वर्कर्स फेडरेशनचे (आयटक) संयुक्त सचिव डॉ. सी. एम. मौर्य, महाराष्ट्र वीज कामगार महासंघ (बीएमएस)चे धुंडीराज बर्वे, शंकर पहाडे, सबॉर्डिनेट इंजिनीअर्स असोसिएशनचे मेंढे, विद्युत क्षेत्र श्रमिक कामगार युनियनचे गजानन सुपे, महाराष्ट्र राज्य तांत्रिक कामगार युनियनचे निकम यांनी कर्मचाऱ्यांना संबोधित केले.
नागपूर : गांधीसागरमध्ये (शुक्रवारी तलाव) दोन वर्षांच्या चिमुकलीसह आईने उडी घेऊन आत्महत्या केली. ही खळबळजनक घटना सोमवारी सकाळी उघडकीस आली. गणेशपेठ पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद करून तपास सुरू केला आहे.
सोमवारी सकाळी ७ वाजताच्या सुमारास दोघींचे मृतदेह तलावात तरंगताना आढळले. जगदीश खरे यांनी गणेशपेठ पोलिसांना माहिती दिली. पोलिसांचा ताफा लगेच तेथे पोहोचला. जगदीश खरे यांनी दोघींचे मृतदेह बाहेर काढले.
पोलिसांनी पंचनामा करून मृतदेह मेडिकल कॉलेज हॉस्पिटलकडे रवाना केले. पोलिसांनी तलाव परिसरात शोध घेतला असता केवळ महिलेची चप्पल आढळली. महिला व मुलीच्या छायाचित्राद्वारे पोलिस दोघींची ओळख पटविण्याचा प्रयत्न करीत असताना रात्री ९.३० वाजताच्या सुमारास नातेवाईक गणेशपेठ पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये धडकले.
पोलिसांनी दोघींचे छायाचित्र दाखविले. मात्र छायाचित्र बघून दोघी आपल्याच नातेवाईक असल्याबाबत संभ्रम निर्माण झाला. मेडिकलमधील शवागार बंद झाल्याने नातेवाइकांना दोघींचे मृतदेह दाखविणे शक्य नव्हते.
त्यामुळे मंगळवारी सकाळी नातेवाइकांना मेडिकलमध्ये नेण्यात येऊन मृतांची ओळख पटविण्यात येणार आहे. उशिरारात्री नातेवाईक पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये आले. त्यांना छायाचित्र दाखविण्यात आले. मात्र नातेवाईक संभ्रमात आहेत. मृतांची ओळख पटणे शक्य नाही.
मंगळवारी नातेवाइकांना दोघींचे मृतदेह दाखविण्यात येईल. त्यानंतरच मृतांची ओळख पटले, सध्याच याबाबत काहीच सांगत येणार नाही, असे गणेशपेठ पोलिस स्टेशनचे वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक सुनील गांगुर्डे यांनी सांगितले.
नागपूर : गिट्टीखदान भागात दबदबा निर्माण करण्यासाठी राजा लखन सिंग (वय २३, रा. व्हेटरनरी कॉलेज चौक) याने साथीदारांच्या मदतीने आनंद ऊर्फ बाबा मनोहर चौधरी (वय ५२,रा. सुरेंद्रगड) यांची हत्या केल्याचे समोर आले आहे. बाबा चौधरी यांच्या खूनप्रकरणात गिट्टीखदान पोलिसांनी राजा व त्याचा साथीदार नाना ऊर्फ सुरेंद्र शेषमल पटेल (वय २२,रा. गिट्टीखदान) या दोघांना अटक केली आहे.
प्राणघातक हल्ला प्रकरणात राजा हा कारागृहात होता. चार महिन्यांपूर्वी तो जामिनावर कारागृहातून बाहेर आला होता. कारागृहातून बाहेर येताच राजा हा परिसरात दबदबा निर्माण करण्याच्या प्रयत्नात होता. रविवारी रात्री आनंद हे लखन फसवार याच्या व्हेटरनरी चौकातील पानठेल्यावर होते. यावेळी राजा, नाना व त्याचे दोन साथीदार कारने तेथे आले. येथे त्यांनी शिवीगाळ करायला सुरुवात केली. आनंद यांनी राजाला हटकले. याच पानठेल्यावर राजाचे वडील असल्याने तो शांतपणे तेथून निघून गेला. काही वेळाने राजा हा साथीदारांसह कारने पुन्हा पानठेल्यावर आला. बळजबरीने आनंद यांना कारमध्ये बसविले. काही अंतरावर आनंद यांना कारमधून खाली उतरिवले. आनंद यांच्यावर चाकूने सपासप वार केले. रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात आनंद खाली पडले. मारेकरी पसार झाले.
घटनेची माहिती मिळताच गिट्टीखदान पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला. आनंद यांना मेयो हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल केले. डॉक्टरांनी तपासून आनंद यांना मृत घोषित केले. पोलिसांनी खुनाचा गुन्हा दाखल करून राजा व त्याच्या साथीदाराला अटक केली. दोघांची २८ जूनपर्यंत पोलिस कोठडी घेण्यात आली आहे.
नागपुर : चंद्रपुर जिले के राजूरा स्थित इनफेंट जीजस इंग्लिश पब्लिक स्कूल की आदिवासी छात्राओं के यौन शोषण के मामले में घिरे संस्था चालक व पूर्व विधायक सुभाष धोटे को बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट की नागपुर खंडपीठ से अंतरिम राहत मिली है।
दरअसल इस मामले की जांच के बाद पुलिस ने धोटे को नोटिस दिया है कि जल्द ही इस मामले में उन्हें भी आरोपी बनाया जाएगा। साथ ही चार्जशीट भी दायर की जाएगी। इसके बाद धोटे ने हाईकोर्ट में याचिका दायर की थी। हाईकोर्ट ने उन्हें मामले में चंद्रपुर जिला व सत्र न्यायालय की शरण में जाने को कहा है।
अगले 15 दिनों तक उनके खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई ना करने के आदेश पुलिस को दिए गए है। दरअसल बीते अप्रैल में स्कूल में पढ़ने वाली बच्चियों की तबीयत अचानक खराब हो गई। कउन्हें राजुरा के अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। जांच में पता चला कि, उनके साथ दुराचार हुआ है। मामले में आदिवासी विकास विभाग के अधिकारी ने 6 अप्रैल को पुलिस में शिकायत दी थी।
पुलिस ने 12 अप्रैल को रिपोर्ट दर्ज की। इस मामले में पीड़त छात्राओं की माताओं ने हाईकोर्ट में याचिका दायर की थी। जिसमें उन्होंने पुलिस पर अकार्यक्षमता का आरोप लगाया था। साथ ही पुलिस द्वारा उनके साथ किए गए अमानवीय और अशोभनीय बर्ताव का भी प्रमुखता से जिक्र किया है।
पुलिस पर आरोप है कि, वह मामले की ठीक से जांच नहीं कर रही है, जिसके बाद कोर्ट ने विविध आदेश जारी किए। मामले में धोटे की ओर से वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता अनिल मार्डिकर और एड.सुमित जोशी ने पक्ष रखा।
नागपुर : महापौर नंदा जिचकार ने शहर में नागरिकों को वृक्षारोपण और उनकी देखभाल के लिए प्रेरित करने के लिए वृक्षमित्र और जलमित्र बनाए जाने की पहल की है। इसके तहत उन्होंने शहर के विभिन्न इलाकों में जाकर लोगों से संवाद किया और उन्हें वृक्षमित्र और जलमित्र का शपथपत्र सौंपा। इसके तहत सोमवार को वे उत्तर और दक्षिण नागपुर के नागरिकों से मुलाकात कीं।

From Ice Hockey to modeling and acting, Chris West talks mental health, cheat meals, and more in this exclusive interview. Born in Oakland and raised in Berkeley, CA, West was devastated after college, knowing his dreams of playing hockey at a professional level were coming to an end.
Being the firm opportunist that he is, he applied the work ethic he had learned from hockey to his other passions. Fast forward three years and here we are.
The hard work and grind that hockey taught me at a young age shows itself on a daily basis in my career, as I have worked worldwide in this industry and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
-What are key qualities to becoming a model in your opinion?
–First and foremost is you absolutely must be personable. Your personality shines much further than your look does. When you enter a room for the first time sure you may be beautiful, but can you hold a conversation? People want to know that they are working with more than just a pretty face.
-How do you measure success?
—I don’t measure success. In my eyes success is varies from person to person and can carry multiple meanings. However, if I had to narrow it down I would say success to me means overall fulfillment both mentally and physically. When you reach a place where you are happy with what is on the inside and out-that is a success that no one can take away.
-Why did you choose to pursue a career as a model/actor?
–What drew me to modeling and acting is its constant development as an art form. I always knew I wanted to be in front of the camera but I had no idea how to get started, until one day I walked into Lisa Keating Photography and my life has been different ever since. Being on set opens a creative space for me to be myself which I find is hard in todays society with everything being so public. Be it print, editorial, stills or on camera, I chose it as a career because it is who I am, it is my home.
-Whats your favorite city that modeling has taken you?
—-CAPE TOWN!! There are plenty of other markets that I would like to work in at some point, but man South Africa is something like I have never seen. The people, scenery, HIKES, and not to mention the amazing food. I’m pretty sure I had ham hocks at least once a week during season and with ZERO regrets.
-What separates a good photographer from a bad photographer? Is it simply angles?
—No no no. It’s far more than angles. At the end of the day I believe its about connection. How you feel around a photographers lens is most important. You can work with some of the best photographers around but if there is no connection and fluidity between you two, it will show in the work you produce.
A good photographer brings their own style to everything, and has no problem shooting models of different tones and shapes.
-Most people think models simply get hit up for gigs all the time. Can you explain the importance of a talent manager or agent and how yours has currently helped your career!?
—Ha, we definitely don’t get hit up for gigs all the time. This industry and market just like anything else is super competitive. You have to market yourself 10x more than your manager or agent. I have found that overall it is important to have a team of people who believe in you and your commitment to the craft in order to be successful in the business. Be it manager or agent, if you aren’t working for each other there will be some avoidable bumps along the way.
-Favorite cheat meal?
–Ok I’ll admit have a serious snacking issue! Some of my go-to’s are cookies and chocolate almond milk, spicy nacho doritos, and anything with a reeces logo on it. Disclaimer: wherever there are lucky charms 9 times out of 10 there is also Chris.
-What are good tactics to train to become a model?
–Embracing all facets of yourself is incredibly important when being in this industry. Love the good, the bad, and the ugly. Understand your body type and never forget the core values that are instilled in you. Learn the market you are in, who has a similar successful look, and kind of use that as a guide to which direction you may want to go. Most importantly, get comfortable being in front of the camera!
-Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
—My goal right now is to continue to grow as an artist and continue to tackle new challenges as time moves on. Ultimately in the next 5 years I’d like to take on new responsibilities in the entertainment industry, while opening a space for others to achieve their fitness and health goals. I am driven to be the best at what I do. Moving forward I am eager to learn, grow, and surround myself with people who challenge me to do my best day in and day out.
-As a model it’s important to always try to stay fit. What are your keys to a healthy life?
— Mental and physical health are both very important. As I learn more about myself I understand the importance of routine and taking care of the mind. Every morning I begin my day by meditating for at least 10 minutes to set the intention for whats to come. Usually my first meal comes around noon. Intermittent fasting mixed with a nutritious diet is a great way to remain lean and stay sharp mentally.
Staying physically fit is definitely important. My favorite and go-to activity is boxing. Usually in the mornings before my first meal, I try to make sure I go a solid 12 rounds followed by some light lifting. Anywhere from 3-4 times a week. Outside of that I enjoy hiking. Most importantly is the nutrition that supplements my lifestyle.
To end the day I journal just to reflect and empty my mind before heading to bed. These practices as of recent have allowed me to be more well rounded in living a healthy lifestyle.
-What have you learned about yourself since joining the modeling/entertainment industry?
—-What I’ve learned mostly about myself since joining the industry could turn into a serious conversation about how important mental health is. Rejection is prominent in this business and we have to be comfortable with it. No one throws you an instruction manual and says, “here, here’s how it’s done.” We have to learn on our own and with that comes some high-high’s and low-low’s. It’s often tough, but finding balance and comfort in the light and dark have been a serious learning experience for me.
-What have you sacrificed for success?
–Time. Most importantly time. Time that I can’t get back with family, friends, and loved ones. As I get older I realize the importance of loved ones and family members. Sometimes it’s hard to explain why I’m not always able to schedule things so far in advance because a job may or may not arise. If there is anything I would love to get back is the time lost with people I hold closest to my heart.
-Going with your gut or expertise? Which is more imperative to you and why?
—In my experience, going with expertise is fine and dandy when it comes to measuring something with statistics or science. However if we’re talking about decisions that have an impact on yourself or someone else, trusting your intuition will usually point you in the right direction. We all get that “gut feeling”, wether we acknowledge and listen to it is up to us. Looking back in regards to my career and relationships, there are times I tried to go with my expertise when all along my gut was the real expert.

As you get older there’s always new information to inherit. What’s one thing you know now that you wish you knew before?
–Ahh I wish I knew that being an adult doesn’t mean you have everything together! Age is literally just a number. Although we might seem like we have it together, everyone is fighting the fight of their lives on a daily basis. Adults are just bigger kids stuck in an aging body who now have to work to provide for themselves and their responsibilities. I’ve found that we never actually grow up, we just learn how to hold our tongue a little bit more

Nagpur : After months of entertaining the country every weekend, Super Dancer – Chapter 3 found its winner and Dance Ka Kal in 6-year-old contestant Rupsa Batabyal from Kolkata. Close on her heels was contestant Tejas Verma from Mumbai who was declared as the runner up. The Grand Finale was nothing but a visual spectacle as the contestants and their gurus performed for one last time on the platform making it a night to remember. Judges Anurag Basu, Shilpa Shetty and Geeta Kapoor along with the hosts Rithvik Dhanjani and TRP Mama (Paritosh Tripathi) reminisced the wonderful journey and highlighted some great moments they experienced through the show.
From Shilpa Shetty Kundra performing Bharatnatyam for the very first time on television on the coveted stage of Super Dancer – Chapter 3 to Krushna Abhishek setting the mood of the evening with his impeccable comic timing to Dharmesh Sir and Raghav Juyal cheering the contestants, the Grand Finale was a night to remember.
Week on week the contestants stepped out of their comfort zone to give power packed performances that enthralled not just the judges but also the audiences. The journey of the Top 5 contestants – Rupsa Batabyal, Tejas Verma, Gourav Sarwan, Saksham Sharma and Jayshree Gogoi has been an inspiring one and there is lot to learn from these little wonders.
Amidst much fanfare and aplomb, Rupsa along with her Super Guru Nishant Bhatt were awarded the prestigious trophy and a cheque of 15 lakhs (Rupsa) and 5 lakhs (Nishant) respectively from Sony Entertainment Television. Each finalist was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation along with the cheque of 1 lakh each. Additionally, the Top 5 finalists were awarded a cheque of 1 lakh each from Lotus Herbals.
