Nagpur : Star Bharat’s popular and longest running television show ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ has kept the viewers glued to the television screen with its gripping storyline. Nimki is a progressive show that revolves around a bold, carefree, quirky and filmy girl who comes from a poor family but dreams and thinks BIG, listens to her heart and is brave enough to bear the consequences. This is a journey of a young girl who accidentally becomes the Mukhiya of a village. And as the show progresses, matures into a courageous and strong individual overcoming several hurdles successfully.
In April, 2019 – the show completed 500 successful episodes on-air. However, according to a source close to the makers Nimki Mukhiya will soon be going off air & meet its logical end. There is no point in stretching the storyline. The closure date is not declared but it is pretty certain that the show will go off air in the coming month (August). Though we are not sure, how the show is going to end but the coming episodes are likely to be full of drama.
As per the source, it is to be replaced by a mythological show based on the life of Mata Vaishnodevi.

Nagpur: Amazon is planning to launch an online food delivery service in India to take on domestic food delivery services such as Swiggy and Zomato. The company is expected to launch its food delivery service in India ahead of the festive season which starts in September this year.
According to a report, the Seattle-based tech giant is working with Catamaran, a company founded by Infosys founder Narayana Murthy to launch its online food delivery service in the country. People close to the matter told that the company has started the hiring of staff for the new operation.
A separate report by Business Standard indicates that the company is in the initial phase of talks to buy UberEats, a food delivery app by Uber Technologies. It was launched in India back in 2017. The company, as per the report, is keen on entering the food delivery business and add it to the list of services offered as a part of its Prime membership plan in the country.
Separately, Amazon last month closed its food delivery business in the United States owing to stiff competition. Amazon had launched Amazon Restaurants in the US back in 2015 and expanded it internationally to London. While the company shut down its services in London last year, it closed its services in the US earlier in June.
Now, Amazon is eyeing to launch Amazon Restaurants in India in a bid to boost and attract more customers and boost its user count. Notably, both Amazon and UberEats have not commented on the matter yet and we will have to wait for an official confirmation from the two companies to know more about the deal.

नागपुर : ‘कैफे कॉफी डे‘ (CCD) के संस्थापक (Founder) वी. जी. सिद्धार्थ, सोमवार रात से लापता हैं। उनके लापता होने की खबरों का असर कंपनी के शेयर प्राइस पर नजर आ रहा है। कॉफी डे एंटरप्राइज लिमिटेड के शेयरों में 20 फीसदी तक की गिरावट दर्ज की गई।
पुलिस के अनुसार, कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री एस. एम. कृष्णा के दामाद सिद्धार्थ सक्लेश्पुर जा रहे थे। लेकिन अचानक उन्होंने अपने चालक से मंगलुरु चलने को कहा। वहीं, इस मामले में सिद्धार्थ द्वारा लिखा गया एक पत्र सामने आया है। इस लेटर में सिद्धार्थ ने कर्मचारियों और बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स को लिखा है कि सभी वित्तीय लेनदेन मेरी जिम्मेदारी है। कानून को मुझे और केवल मुझे जवाबदेह रखना चाहिए।

उद्घाटक म्हणून पुढे बोलताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या, विकासाची व्याख्या आता बदलली आहे. केवळ सिमेंट रस्ते अथवा पूल बांधणे म्हणजे विकास नाही. विकास शाश्वत असायला हवा. नागपूर शहर आता शाश्वत विकासाच्या दृष्टीने पुढे चालले आहे. नागपुरात तयार झालेले इलेक्ट्रिक चार्जींग स्टेशन हा शाश्वत विकासाचा पथदर्शी प्रकल्प आहे. अशा पथदर्शी प्रकल्पांमुळे वेगाने शाश्वत विकास होत असलेल्या जगातील प्रमुख पाच शहरांमध्ये नागपूरचे नाव असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. वायुप्रदुषणामुळे अनेक आजार होतात. शुद्ध हवा मिळण्यासाठी ना. नितीन गडकरी यांच्या नेतृत्वात नागपूर महानगरपालिका अनेक प्रकल्प राबवित असून त्यासाठी मनपा कटिबद्ध असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
याप्रसंगी बोलताना आमदार सुधाकर कोहळे म्हणाले, इलेक्ट्रिक चार्जींग स्टेशनचे उद्घाटन ही शहरासाठी अभिमानाची बाब आहे. केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी मांडलेली संकल्पना साकार करण्याकरिता मनपाने जो पुढाकार घेतला, त्याबद्दल त्यांनी मनपाचे कौतुक केले. भविष्यात नागपूर शहरातून पेट्रोल-डिझेलच्या गाड्या बाद होऊन इलेक्ट्रिक अथवा बॅटरी ऑपरेटेड वाहने चालतील, असा विश्वास त्यांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केला.
तत्पूर्वी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते इलेक्ट्रिक चार्जींग स्टेशनचे फीत कापून उद्घाटन करण्यात आले. इलेक्ट्रिक बस चार्जींग करण्याअगोदर महापौर नंदा जिचकार व अन्य मान्यवरांनी पूजन केले. इलेक्ट्रिक चार्जींग स्टेशन उभारणाऱ्या एम.एम. सोलर प्रा.लि.चे देवेंद्र रानडे आणि श्याम रानडे यांचा महापौरांच्या हस्ते सत्कार करण्यात आला. कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन गिरीश देशमुख यांनी केले. आभार अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी यांनी मानले.
लवकरच होणार दरनिश्चिती
सदर इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन चार्जिंग स्टेशनची क्षमता ५० किलो वॉट इतकी असून, यात तीन प्रकारच्या वेगवेगळ्या प्रोटोकॉलचे वाहन चार्ज करण्याची सोय आहे. CCS आणि CHdeMo हे DC प्रकारचे चार्जर व एक AC चार्जर असे तीन चार्जिंग प्रोटोकॉल आहेत. २५ किलोवाट बॅटरी असलेले वाहन DC चार्जिंगद्वारे साधारण २० ते २५ मिनिटात चार्ज केल्या जाऊ शकेल. इलेक्ट्रिक बस चार्जींग करण्याकरिता त्या बसमधील बॅटरीच्या क्षमतेनुसार सुमारे अर्धा ते दीड तास चार्जींगकरिता लागेल, अशी माहिती विद्युत विभागाचे कार्यकारी अभियंता अजय मानकर यांनी दिली. चार्जींगसाठी शासन निर्देशानुसार विद्युत मंडळाच्या दरातील सवलत विचारात घेऊन दरनिश्चिती करण्यात येईल आणि लवकरच चार्जींग स्टेशन जनतेसाठी खुले करण्यात येईल, अशी माहिती गिरीश देशमुख यांनी दिली.
Nagpur : The Medical Device Hackathon (MEDHA) on 27-28 July 2019 at G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur (GHRCE) witnessed ten high-energy teams of doctors and engineers. They worked continuously from Saturday morning through the night all the way till Sunday evening to develop novel medical devices to solve pressing clinical problems.
Each team had four participants – from medical, design, mechanical and electronics – mentored by senior innovators. They were shown curated videos of clinical problems faced by doctors, who were present to explain the issues in detail. The teams selected ten problems, brainstormed novel solutions and created proof-of-concepts.
The novel proof-of-concepts included solution to heating effects in bone drilling, broken dental file retrieval, mouth mirror with illumination and camera, bite force measurement, broken intramedullary nail removal, wearable cardiac rhythm monitoring, motorized stretcher for heavy patients, damaged screw removal from bone, pre bed wetting indication, and protection of doctors from x-ray beams in OT.
The hackathon was jointly organized by the Biomedical Engineering & Technology incubation Centre (BETiC) of IIT Bombay, VNIT Nagpur and DMIMS Wardha. Dr. Usha Dixit, NSTEDB, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi, inaugurated MEDHA in the presence of Prof. A. M. Kuthe, head of BETiC cell at VNIT and Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Principal of GHRCE. Dr. Usha praised the activities and motivated the participants. Dr. Kuthe highlighted the role of BETiC in translating academic research into marketable products.
The host institute GHRCE inaugurated their own BETiC cell on Sunday in the hands of Dr. Viral Kamdar, Director, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Institute of Medical Science Research & Human Resources, Nagpur, and in the presence of jury members – most of them senior doctors from local hospitals. These included Dr. Mrunal Pathak, AIIMS; Dr. Vijay K. Mahobia, GMC; Dr. Lokendra Singh Dr. Hemant Chhajed, Dr. Shekhar Laghvendu from Wockhardt; Dr. Archana Sarda, Sarda Physio Clinic; Dr. Pankaj Harkut, Meditrina; Dr. Sushil Mankar, NKPSIMS & LMH; Dr. Devendra Palve, SDKS Dental College; Dr. Harish Rathi, Advance Dental Hospital; Dr. Prashant Naik, Dr Naik`s ENT Hospital; Dr. Prashant Rathi, RATHI Hospital; Dr. Raju Deshmukh and Dr. Bhavesh Barde, Suretech Hospital; Dr. Parimal Tayade, Endocare Clinic; Dr. Ajay Khade, Swargiya Dadasaheb and Kalmegh Smruti, Dental College & Hospital; Dr. Anil Golhar, Golhar hospital; and Dr. Irshad Qureshi, Dr. Abhay Gaidhane and Dr. Punit Fulzale from DMIMS Wardha. All of them were delighted with the efforts put in by the teams as well as the organizers, saying such hackathons are the need of the hour, and assured their support for further development.
Prof. B. Ravi, Institute Chair Professor of IIT Bombay and founder of BETiC network gave tips on effective presentation to the participants on Saturday midnight. He thanked GHRCE for organizing the hackathon twice (7th MEDHA on 21-22 July 2018 and 11th MEDHA on 27-28 July 2019) and said, “Most of the innovators at BETiC were participants of earlier MEDHA organized in collaboration with partner institutes in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Wardha. In the last four years, they developed and filed patents for 50 novel devices, incubated 11 startup companies and licensed 5 technologies to local companies. We now look forward to such success stories from GHRCE and their local partners.”
Dr. Viral Kamdar, chief guest of the valedictory function gave away the prizes to the winners in the Vivekananda Hall of GHRCE, packed with participants, mentors, student volunteers, jury panel and faculty members. Recalling the great sage (Swami Vivekananda), Dr. Kamdar exhorted all those assembled to remember that only those who live for others, truly live. Medha implies intelligence plus emotion, and coupled with willpower, anything can be achieved as shown by the participants of the hackathon. The real goal is to take such products to the end-users. He shared that the government is putting in place the right eco-system for this purpose, through the Ministry of MSME, guided by Shri Nitin Gadkari.
One of the participants, Dr. Aayush Bhadani, who travelled all the way from Kolkata to participate in MEDHA was one those who won a special certificate of excellence. He declared that he would have come even if he had to travel via the moon. All participants heaped lavish praise on the organizing team of Raisoni, ably led by Dr. Santosh Jaju and Dr. Vibha Bora. Dr. Vibha summed up her experience, saying “We had organized MEDHA last year also, and hence it is not surprising that our top management, led by Mr. Sunil Raisoni and Dr. Preeti Bajaj, supported us fully and even spent time with each team. The surprising part was the unbelievable response from the local medical community – medical students came in as participants, senior doctors shared their clinical problems, and the senior-most of them gave their valuable feedback as jury members, that too on a Sunday afternoon.” Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Principal of GHRCE added, “We are particularly grateful to Dr. Viral Kamdar, who keenly listened to the presentations of all the teams. He inspired them to keep in touch with each other as well as the mentors, and take their projects farther.”
Nagpur : The Mahajanadesh Yatra, the first of its kind in the State of Maharashtra, being taken out by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that would inform people about various public-oriented works, the present Government did in last five years. The Yatra will start from Gurukunj Mozari, Amravati on Thursday August 1. This was informed by Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Guardian Minister on Monday while talking to mediapersons at Hotel Centre Point.
Bawankule informed, “The first phase will be conducted in Vidarbha. All the district office-bearers along with MLAs, MLCs and others would welcome the Yatra. It will complete the 4,384 kms journey to conclude in Nashik on August 31. Bawankule said, “In last five years BJP has implemented several public-oriented schemes. The tenure of Devendra Fadnavis as Chief Minister can be termed as most successful. When he took over as Chief Minister no funds remained with the Government.
By implementing several schemes, Chief Minister fetched so much funds and tried to make the State the prosperous one. Now, Maharashtra is seen as the most fast developing state in all sectors including education, industry, health, infrastructure, power etc.” Prof Anil Sole who will be heading the Yatra in Vidarbha said, “Whatever developmental works were done by BJP needed to promoted. We want people to know what we have done. This Yatra will fulfill the purpose, this is what we feel.”
Grand welcome at Chinchbhuvan Mahajanadesh Yatra will reach at Chinchbhuvan on August 2 at 2 pm. Pravin Datke, Bhartiya Janata Party City unit President will lead reception of the Yatra. It will reach at Dr Hedgewar square at 2.10 pm. A public meeting will be held at Somalwada chowk at 2.20 pm. Later on it will receive rousing welcome at Chhatrapati Nagar square at 2.30 pm at Ajni chowk at 3 pm, at Lokmat chowk at 3.10 pm, at Jhansi Rani square at 3.20 pm.
A meeting will be addressed by the leaders at Variety square. The Yatra will pass through Samvidhan square, Liberty, Sakharam Meshram square, Durga Mandir Chhaoni, MSEB square, Gittikhadan square. There will be a grand road show at 4 pm and then Yatra will move towards Kalmeshwar. It will go to Metpanjra, Katol, Saoner. There will be two meetings at Katol and Saoner at 5.30 and 6.30 pm respectively. The Yatra will take a stay at Nagpur and on August 3 it will go towards Bhandara.

नागपूर : सदरमधील रेसिडेन्सी मार्गावर वडिलांसमोरुनच नऊ वर्षीय मुलाचे अपहरण करण्यात आले. ही घटना २६ जुलैला दुपारी ३ वाजताच्या सुमारास घडली. या घटनेने सदर पोलिसांमध्ये खळबळ उडाली आहे. पोलिसांनी अपहरणाचा गुन्हा दाखल करून मुलाचा शोध सुरू केला आहे. शिवम रघुनाथ चव्हारे रा. सावनेर, असे मुलाचे नाव आहे.
मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, रघुनाथ यांचे सावनेरमध्ये पोल्ट्री फार्म आहे. २६ जुलैला ते शिवम व नातेवाइक रवींद्र शेंद्रे यांच्यासोबत नागपुरात आले. इतवारी येथे गेले. तेथून तिघे सीताबर्डी येथील नातेवाइकाकडे गेले. तेथे जेवन केल्यानंतर तिघेही पायी छावणीकडे जात होते.
रेसिडेन्सी मार्गावर रवींद्र व शिवम अचानक बेपत्ता झाले. दोघे सावनेरला गेल्याचा समज रघुनाथ यांना झाला. त्यामुळे रघुनाथ हे गिट्टीखदानमध्ये राहणाऱ्या मित्राकडे गेले. २७ जुलैला ते सावनेर येथे गेले. त्यांच्या पत्नीने शिवम याच्याबाबत विचारणा केली. रघुनाथ यांना धक्का बसला. रवींद्र हाही गावातून बेपत्ता होता. त्यामुळे त्यानेच अपहरण केल्याचा संशय बळावला.
रघुनाथ यांनी सदर पोलिसांत तक्रार दिली. दरम्यान, रवींद्र हा गावात आला. शिवम सोबत आला नसल्याचे त्याने रघुनाथ यांना सांगितले. तसे बयाणही रवींद्र याने सदर पोलिसांना दिले. त्यामुळे शिवम याचे अपहरण कोणी केले, असा प्रश्न पोलिसांना पडला आहे. सीसीटीव्हीच्या माध्यमातून पोलिस शिवम याचा शोध घेत आहेत.
नागपूर : माजी क्रिकेटपटू रॉबिन सिंहनं टीम इंडियाच्या मुख्य प्रशिक्षकपदासाठी अर्ज केला असून, त्यानं विद्यमान मुख्य प्रशिक्षक रवी शास्त्रींवर निशाणा साधला आहे. शास्त्री प्रशिक्षकपदावर असताना, भारतीय संघ दोन विश्वचषक स्पर्धांमधील उपांत्य लढतीत पराभूत झाला आहे. त्यामुळं आताच प्रशिक्षणाच्या रचनेत बदल करणे गरजेचे आहे, असं रॉबिन म्हणाला.
प्रशिक्षकाच्या भूमिकेविषयीही रॉबिन सिंहनं अनेक मते मांडली. ‘तुमची स्वतःची मानसिक तयारी असावी लागते. संघ आणि खेळाडू ज्या परिस्थितीचा सामना करतात, त्या परिस्थितीशी जुळवून घ्यावे लागते. संघासाठी तयार केलेल्या योजनांमध्ये सहभागी व्हावं लागतं. तांत्रिकदृष्ट्या खेळ समजून घेतला तरच, तुम्ही हे सर्व करू शकता,’ असं रॉबिन म्हणाला.
मीडिया रिपोर्टनुसार, रवी शास्त्री यांच्याकडेच टीम इंडियाच्या प्रशिक्षकपदाची धुरा सोपवली जाऊ शकते. रॉबिनही प्रशिक्षकपदाच्या शर्यतीत आहे. १३६ एकदिवसीय सामन्यांत रॉबिननं भारतीय संघाचं प्रतिनिधित्व केलं आहे. २००७-०८मध्ये त्यानं भारतीय संघाचे क्षेत्ररक्षण प्रशिक्षकपद सांभाळलं होतं. आयपीएलमध्ये त्यानं मुंबई इंडियन्सचं सहायक प्रशिक्षकपदही भूषवलं आहे.
नागपुर : भारतीय जनता पार्टी के दक्षिण-पश्चिम विधानसभा क्षेत्र के बूथप्रमुख, शक्तीप्रमुख, मंडल पदाधिकारी, मंडल के शहर पदाधिकारी तथा नगरसेवक/नगरसेविका, संपर्क मंत्री, युवामोर्चा, महिला व् अन्य अग्रणीय कार्यकर्ताओं का अभ्यासवर्ग निसर्गरम्य वातावरण में हिंगना तालुका के वागविला यहाँ २७ और २८ जुलाई को संपन्न हुआ.
अभ्यासवर्ग का उद्घाटन राज्य के ऊर्जामंत्री तथा नागपुर जिले के पालकमंत्री ना. श्री. चंद्रशेखर बावनकुले व् शहर भाजपा अध्यक्ष श्री. प्रवीण दटके इनके हाथों हुआ. इस अवसर पर आगामी विधानसभा चुनावों के लिए विभिन्न सत्रों में गणमान्य व्यक्तियों तथा मुक्तचिंतन सत्र में प्रा. राजीव हड़प द्वारा मार्गदर्शन किया गया.
अभ्यासवर्ग का समारोप मुख्यमंत्री मा. श्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस इनके मार्गदर्शन के साथ हुआ. समारोह का प्रस्ताविक मंडल के अध्यक्ष श्री. रमेश भंडारी तथा संचालन मंडल महामंत्री श्री. श्रीपाद बोरीकर इन्होने किया।
मुख्यमंत्री के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर मंडल महामंत्री श्री. सुरेंद्र पांडे इन्होने ५०,००० रुपयों की राशि मुख्यमंत्री निधि के लिए प्रदान की.सभा को सफल बनाने के लिए मंडल महामंत्री आशिष पाठक, सचिन कारलकर, गजानन निशितकर, तथा टीमने मेहनत की. अभ्यासवर्ग में श्री.रमेश दलाल, विवेक तरासे, पदाधिकारी और कार्यकर्ते बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित थे।
नागपूर : ‘विधानसभा निवडणूक लढायची झाल्यास दक्षिण पश्चिम नागपुरातूनच लढेल, अन्यथा लढणार नाही’, अशी घोषणा करीत मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी रविवारी सगळ्या तर्कवितर्कांना विराम दिला. भाजपच्या दक्षिण पश्चिम मंडळाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांच्या निवासी प्रशिक्षण शिबिराचा समारोप रविवारी हिंगणा परिसरातील ‘वाघ विला’ येथे झाला. यावेळी फडणवीसांनी तडाखेबंद भाषण केले.
पाच वर्षे मुख्यमंत्री राहिलेले फडणवीस विधानसभेची निवडणूक कुठून लढणार, यावरून राज्यभर चर्चा सुरू होती. ते मुंबईतील मलबार हिल मतदारसंघातून लढणार असल्याच्या वावड्या उठल्या होत्या. मंगलप्रभात लोढा जेव्हा भाजपचे मुंबई अध्यक्ष झाले तेव्हा त्या चर्चांना अधिक बळ मिळाले. प्रशिक्षण वर्गाच्या उद्घाटन सोहळ्यात बोलताना पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी मुख्यमंत्र्यांचे कौतुक करीत’फडणवीसांना राज्यातल्या २८८ मतदारसंघातून लढण्यासाठी आग्रह होत आहे. माझ्या कामठी मतदारसंघातून त्यांनी लढावे म्हणून मी आग्रही आहे. त्यांनी फक्त अर्ज भरण्यासाठी यावे, दीड लाखाच्या मताधिक्याने ते विजयी होतील’, असे भाष्य केले होते.
या सगळ्या पार्श्वभूमीवर कार्यकर्त्यांना संबोधित करताना फडणवीस म्हणाले की, ‘मला मुंबईचे लोक विचारतात की, तुम्ही मुंबईहून लढणार का? पुण्याचे लोक विचारतात तुम्ही पुण्यातून लढणार का? मी एक स्पष्ट करू इच्छितो, मी जोवर विधानसभेची निवडणूक लढेल, तोवर दक्षिण पश्चिममधूनच लढेल. फडणवीस दक्षिण पश्चिमचे आमदार होते, आहेत आणि भविष्यातही राहतील. माझी सगळी दारोमदार कार्यकर्त्यांवर आहे. मी नसतानाही तुम्ही ज्या पद्धतीने किल्ला लढविला, ते कौतुकास्पद आहे. यावेळीदेखील तुम्ही तो तसाच लढवाल. आपले मताधिक्य वाढवाल. हा पक्ष कार्यकर्त्यांचा आहे, जनतेचा आहे. त्यामुळे जनतेच्या सुखासाठी झटणे हे आपले कर्तव्य आहे. आपण पंतप्रधान मोदींच्या आदर्शावर चालून सुखी महाराष्ट्र घडवू.’
मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी यावेळी पाच वर्षांत केलेल्या कामांचा आढावाही मांडला. सोबतच ‘निवडणूक युद्धाप्रमाणे लढा. पक्ष बळकट आहेच, तो अधिक बळकट करा’, असे आवाहन केले. समृद्धी महामार्ग, जलयुक्त शिवार आदींचा उल्लेख करताना मुंबई, पुणे, नाशिकपर्यंत होत असलेली औद्योगिकीकरणातील परकीय गुंतवणूक आता राज्याच्या इतर भागातही वाढत असल्याकडे लक्ष वेधले. गडचिरोलीसारख्या जिल्ह्यात औद्योगिकीकरण वाढत असल्याचा दावाही त्यांनी केला.

Nagpur : In a first, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to be featured on popular TV show Man vs Wild. Bear Grylls, the show’s host, tweeted the information Monday.
He posted a teaser clip and wrote, “People across 180 countries will get to see the unknown side of PM @narendramodi as he ventures into Indian wilderness to create awareness about animal conservation & environmental change. Catch Man Vs Wild with PM Modi @DiscoveryIN on August 12 @ 9 pm.”
Modi is known for being media savvy and using new avenues to reach out to the younger generation. This video can be seen as his latest gesture in this regard.
As per a statement released by the makers of the show, Modi said, “For years, I have lived among nature, in the mountains and the forests. These years have a lasting impact on my life. So when I was asked about a special programme focussing on life beyond politics and that too in the midst of nature I was both intrigued and inclined to take part in it.”
He added, “For me, this show presents a great opportunity to showcase to the world India’s rich environmental heritage and stress on the importance of environment conservation and living in harmony with nature. It was a great experience spending time in the jungle once again, this time with Bear, who is blessed with indefatigable energy and quest to experience nature at its purest.”

The show is known for its host Bear Grylls’ survival techniques in extreme conditions and his love for flora and fauna. In the 45-second teaser video, a voiceover introduces Modi as the head of the largest democracy in the world.
It further shows Modi welcoming Grylls in India, and then taking a trip to the interiors of India together. At one point in the video, Grylls gives Modi a jacket to keep him safe.

Nagpur : In a tragic incident two youths died due to drowning in a nullah at Bahadura under jurisdiction of Sakkardara Police Station. The deceased were identified as Sheikh Javed Sheikh Iqbal (22), a resident of Hasanbagh, and Irfan Sheikh alias Sonu Jibrail Sheikh (30), a resident of Sartaj Colony, Bada Tajbagh.
According to police, 15 persons were playing cards near a nullah on Bahadura-Pandhurna road on Friday evening. A car came from Bahadura side and stopped near the gambling den. The gamblers noticed five persons disembarking from the car in ‘police style’. Assuming them cops, the gamblers panicked and starting fleeing the spot. Wasim Sheikh, Sheikh Javed, Irfan Sheikh and an unidentified youth jumped into a nullah. Wasim and one other managed to cross the nullah while Javed and Irfan drowned in nullah.
On being informed by some youths, a team from Nandanvan Police Station rushed to the spot on Friday late night. Search operation was launched with the help of officials of Fire and Emergency Services during midnight. A team from Sakkardara Police Station also reached the spot in the morning hours and fished out two bodies from the nullah. A large number of relatives and friends of the deceased youths were present at the spot during the search operation. Sakkardara police registered a case of accidental deaths and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
While talking Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone IV Raj Tilak Raushan denied involvement of police personnel in the raid at Bahadura. “No teams of Sakkardara and Nandanvan police stations conducted raid at the spot,” he said. However, villagers of the area are confident about involvement of police personnel in the ‘raid’.
नागपूर : सर्च इंजिन, ई-मेल, ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टिम आदी विविध क्षेत्रात अग्रणी असलेलं गुगल आपले वेब ब्राउजर गुगल क्रोम अपग्रेड करणार आहे. ३० जुलैला गुगल क्रोम ७६ रिलीज होणार आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वी युजर्सनी क्रोमच्या incognito mode मध्येही युजर्सचा डेटावर काही वेबसाइटद्वारे लक्ष ठेवण्यात येत असल्याच्या तक्रारी केल्या होत्या. या प्रकरणाची गंभीर दखल घेत गुगलनं क्रोम अपडेट केलं आहे. ‘गुगल क्रोम ७६’ या नव्या अपग्रेडमध्ये युजर्सच्या प्रायव्हसीची खबरदारी घेतली आहे. तसंच गुगल क्रोम अधिक सुरक्षित बनवण्यासाठी काही फिचर्स लाँच केले आहेत.
फ्लॅश डिसेबल
गुगल क्रोमच्या सगळ्या वेबसाइटसाठी अॅडॉब फ्लॅशचा पर्याय असणार आहे. युजर्स हा पर्याय काढून टाकू शकत नाही. मात्र, फ्लॅशचा वापर फक्त ‘क्लिक टू प्ले मोड’मध्येच करता येणार आहे. त्याचबरोबर डिसेंबर २०२०नंतर क्रोम फ्लॅश प्लेअरला सपोर्ट करणार नसल्याचे नोटिफिकेशन क्रोमकडून युजर्सला देण्यात येतील.
प्रायव्हसी राखणार
काही वेबसाइट्स फाइल सिस्टम एपीआय रिक्वेस्ट पाठवून युजर्सच्या इनकॉग्निटो मोडची तपासणी करत होते. तर काही वेबसाइट या ट्रिकचा वापर करून इनकॉग्निटी मोडचा वापर करणाऱ्या युजर्सना थेट ब्लॉक करत होत्या. गुगल क्रोमच्या अपडेटमुळं युजर्सची प्रायव्हसी राखली जाणार आहे.
ऑटोमॅटिक डार्क मोड
क्रोम ७६ लाँच झाल्यानंतर युजर्सनी ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टमवर डार्क मोड सिलेक्ट केल्यानंतर वेबासाइटला कळू शकणार आहे. युजर्स डार्क मोडचा पर्याय निवडताच वेबसाइटकडून युजर्सना डार्क थीममध्ये माहिती दाखवण्यात येईल.
नागपूर : पोलिस उपायुक्त विनीता साहू यांनी सदरमधील उशिरा रात्रीपर्यंत सुरू असलेल्या हॉटेल तुली इंटरनॅशनल व हॉटेल व्ही फाइव्ह लोकलवर छापा टाकला. या हॉटेलविरुद्ध सदर पोलिसांनी महाराष्ट्र पोलिस अधिनियमांतर्गत चालान कारवाई केली आहे. या दोन्ही हॉटेलमध्ये पब पार्टी सुरू असल्याची माहिती पोलिस उपायुक्त विनीता साहू यांना मिळाली.
शनिवारी मध्यरात्री साहू यांच्या नेतृत्वात सदर पोलिस स्टेशनचे वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक महेश बनसोडे, उपनिरीक्षक राजेंद्र घुगे, एन. फड, शिपाई रेमंड, विजेंद्र व मोनू सय्यद यांनी दोन्ही हॉटेलवर छापा टाकला. पोलिसांनी हॉटेल व्यवस्थापक संदीप सिराम याला ताब्यात घेतले. निर्धारित वेळेपेक्षा अधिक काळ डीजे वाजविल्याबाबत विचारणा केली.
याबाबत त्याच्याकडे कोणताही परवाना आढळून आला नाही. पोलिसांनी त्याच्याविरुद्ध महाराष्ट्र पोलिस अधिनियमानुसार कारवाई केली. पोलिसांनी छापा टाकला त्यावेळी तरुण व तरुणी मोठ्या प्रमाणात आढळून आले. चौकशी करून त्यांना सोडण्यात आले.
नागपूर : ऑक्टोबर महिन्यात लग्न असताना त्यापूर्वीच राज्य राखीव पोलिस दलाच्या जवानाने आत्महत्या केल्याने चर्चेला पेव फुटले आहे.
शनिवारी रात्री रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया येथे कर्तव्य बजावताना प्रसन्ना दुधाराम मस्के (वय २६, रा. वैशालीनगर, राज्य राखीव पोलिस दल गट क्रं.१३ मागे) याने रायफलीतून स्वत:वर गोळी झाडून आत्महत्या केली होती. सदर पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद करून तपास सुरू केला आहे. त्याच्या आत्महत्येचे नेमके कारण अद्याप समोर आलेले नाही.
तणावातून त्याने आत्महत्या केल्याचे सांगण्यात येत आहे. पोलिसांनी त्याचा मोबाइल जप्त केला आहे. मोबाइलची तपासणी करण्यात येत असून, याद्वारेही पोलिस त्याच्या आत्महत्येच्या कारणाचा शोध घेत आहेत. प्रसन्नाचे वडील राज्य राखीव पोलिस दलात होते. कर्तव्य बजावताना वडिलांचा मृत्यू झाला होता.
२०१४ मध्ये अनुकंपा तत्त्वावर प्रसन्ना एसआरपीएफमध्ये भरती झाला होता. त्याच्या तीन बहिणींचे लग्न झाले असून, तो आईसोबत राहात होता. त्याचा एक जावई पोलिस दलात आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वीच प्रसन्नाचे एका तरुणीसोबत साक्षंगध झाले होते. ऑक्टोबरमध्ये त्याचे लग्न होणार होते. १३ जुलैपासून तो आरबीआयमध्ये तैनात होता.
शनिवारी रात्री १० वाजताच्या सुमारास त्याने एसएलआर रायफल हनवटीवर ठेवून गोळी झाडून आत्महत्या केली. यादरम्यान गजानन पवार हा जवान तेथे आला. त्याला प्रसन्ना रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात पडलेला दिसला. गजाननने वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांना माहिती देत सदर पोलिसांना कळविले.
माहिती मिळताच सदर पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला. पोलिसांनी पंचनामा करून मृतदेह मेयो हॉस्पिटलकडे रवाना केला. पोलिसांनी प्रसन्नाचा मोबाइल जप्त केला आहे. याद्वारे पोलिस त्याच्या आत्महत्येच्या कारणाचा शोध घेण्यात येत आहे. प्रसन्नाच्या आत्महत्येप्रकरणी सदर पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद केली आहे.
नागपूर : सुनेने मारहाण करुन घराबाहेर काढल्याने, ७५ वर्षीय सासूने विष प्राशन करून आत्महत्या केली. ही धक्कादायक घटना हुडकेश्वरमधील श्रीहरीनगर येथे उघडकीस आली. सत्यभामा देवराव कामडी, असे मृत सासूचे नाव आहे.
पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, सत्यभामा यांचे पती निवृत्त शिक्षक असून, त्यांना सुरेश नावाचा मुलगा आहे. २००४ मध्ये सुरेश यांचे स्मिता यांच्यासोबत लग्न झाले. लग्नानंतर सासू-सुनेचे नेहमी वाद होत होते. त्यामुळे सुरेश यांनी वेगळे राहण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. सुरेश व स्मिता वेगळे राहायला लागले. यादरम्यान दोघांमध्येही वाद व्हायला लागले. हा वाद पोलिसांत पोहोचला.
पोलिसांच्या मध्यस्थीने चौघेही एकत्र राहु लागले. त्यानंतरही सासू-सुनेमध्ये वाद होत होते. १० जुलैला सत्यभामा यांना मारहाण करून सुनेने घराबाहेर काढले. सत्यभामा या मानेवाडा घाट परिसरात आल्या. त्यांनी विष प्राशन केले. हुडकेश्वर पोलिसांनी त्यांना मेडिकल कॉलेज हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल केले. डॉक्टरांनी त्यांना विष प्राशन केल्याबाबत विचारणा केली.
सुनेने मारहाण करून घराबाहेर काढल्याचे त्यांनी डॉक्टरांना सांगितले. शनिवारी मध्यरात्री सत्यभामा यांचा मेडिकलमध्ये उपचारादरम्यान मृत्यू झाला. याप्रकरणी हुडकेश्वर पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद करून तपास सुरु केला आहे.

दरम्यान, इंद्रनील यांनी सेनेत जाण्याची तयारी सुरू केली आहे. काल इंद्रनील यांनी मुंबईत ‘मातोश्री’ निवासस्थानी जाऊन सेनेच्या प्रवेशाबद्दल चर्चा करून रात्री ते पुसदकडे निघाले आहेत. गेल्या काही महिन्यांपासून मनोहरराव नाईक प्रकृतीमुळे बेजार असून यावेळी विधानसभेची निवडणूक लढविण्यास तयार नसल्याचे त्यांनी राष्ट्रवादीचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष शरद पवार याना कळविले आहे. नुकत्याच झालेल्या पावसाळी अधिवेशनात ते मुबईला जाऊ शकले नाहीत. आपल्यासोबत वडील मनोहरराव यांच्यासह सर्व राष्ट्रवादीचे कार्यकर्ते सेनेत यावे, असा आग्रह इंद्रनील यांचा आहे. त्यादृष्टीने आज शनिवारी पुसदच्या बंगल्यावर होणारी बैठक महत्वाची राहणार आहे.
नागपूर : शहर भाजप महिला आघाडीच्या दोनदा अध्यक्ष, दोनदा नगरसेविका आणि आता शहराच्या पहिल्या नागरिक असलेल्या महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांना आता आमदारकीचे वेध लागले आहेत. ‘पक्षाने शहरात महिलांनाही उमेदवारी द्यावी’, असे बोलून दाखवित पश्चिममधून लढण्याची इच्छा असल्याचे संकेत त्यांनी दिले आहेत. ‘महापौरपदाला मुदतवाढ द्यावी’, असे पत्र दीड महिन्यापूर्वीच त्यांनी राज्य सरकारकडे पाठविले आहे. आता त्यांनी मनातील इच्छा बोलून दाखविल्याने पश्चिम नागपुरातील इच्छुक सतर्क झाले आहेत.
महापौर नंदा जिचकार या भाजपकडून झालेल्या सहाव्या महिला महापौर आहेत. यापूर्वी पक्षाकडून वसुंधरा मसूरकर, डॉ. कल्पना पांडे, पुष्पा घोडे, माया इवनाते, अर्चना डेहनकर यांना महापौरपदाचा सन्मान मिळाला. आज शहरातून विधिमंडळात गेलेल्या सहापैकी पाच आमदार नगरसेवक होते. शिवाय, विधान परिषदेतही आमदार असलेले आधी नगरसेवक होते. मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस व आमदार प्रा. अनिल सोले या दोघांनी नागपूरचे महापौरपद भूषविले. परंतु, महिला महापौरांना आमदार बनण्याची संधी मिळालेली नाही. त्यामुळे बहुधा महापौर जिचकार यांना आमदारपदाचे वेध लागले असावेत, असे बोलले जात आहे.
महापौर जिचकार या मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या दक्षिण पश्चिम मतदारसंघात राहतात. या मतदारसंघात मुख्यमंत्र्यांव्यतिरिक्त कुणालाही संधी नाही. शेजारच्या पश्चिम नागपूरमध्ये भाजपतर्फे उमेदवार बदलण्याची चर्चा आहे. विद्यमान आमदार सुधाकर देशमुख यांनी निवडणूक लढणार नसल्याचे जाहीर केले होते. त्यानंतर घूमजाव करीत उमेदवारी घेतली व पुन्हा आमदार म्हणून निवडून आले. यावेळी तशी त्यांनी कुठलीही इच्छा व्यक्त केलेली नाही. त्यामुळे देशमुख हे पक्षातर्फे उमेदवारीचे दावेदार असले तरी, बदल करण्याचा पक्षात विचार झाल्यास उमेदवारी मिळू शकते, यासाठी अनेकजण प्रयत्नरत आहेत.
जिचकार या महापौर असल्याने संपूर्ण शहरभर त्यांचा वावर असतो. शहरातील अनेक भागांत त्या फिरत असतात. पश्चिम नागपुरातील अनेक भागांत त्यांनी दौरा करून नागरिकांच्या समस्याही जाणून घेतल्या. याशिवाय, महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवार्ड व इतर चांगले उपक्रम राबविल्याचेही त्यांच्याकडून अनेकदा सांगण्यात येते. अनेक उपक्रम राबवायचे असल्याने महापौरपदाला मुदतवाढ मिळावी, अशीही त्यांची इच्छा आहे. याच धर्तीवर पक्षाने शहरात किमान एका मतदारसंघात महिलेला उमेदवारी द्यावी, असे त्यांना वाटते. पत्रकारांशी अनौपचारिक चर्चा करताना त्यांनी ‘पक्षातर्फे महिलेलाही उमेदवारी मिळावी’, असे बोलून दाखविले. पश्चिममधून आपला दावा आहे का, यावर त्यांनी ‘आमचे नेते देशमुख आहेत’, असे सांगत वेळ मारून नेली.
Implements change in the water harvesting and farming capabilities of the villages
Yavatmal (Maharashtra) 2019 : HDFC Bank Ltd., announced the successful completion of its Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP) in 11 villages in the Yavatmal District of Maharashtra. Through this initiative, 1,927 households will now have access to water for drinking and farming. These households have also been trained in new and improved agriculture practices which will enable them to generate higher income.
HRDP is a flagship CSR initiative of #Parivartan, HDFC Bank’s umbrella brand for all its social development programmes. Parivartan seeks to bring about sustainable change in village life by focussing on improvements in key areas of:
1) Rural Development
2) Promotion of Education
3) Skills Training and Livelihood Enhancement
4) Healthcare and Hygiene
5) Financial Literacy and Inclusion.
Under HRDP, a thorough assessment of the village is carried out to understand its developmental needs. To address these needs in a sustainable and effective manner, the Bank creates long-term solutions in partnership with an NGO and the local community. The beneficiaries of HRDP include small farmers, youth, landless labourers, children and women.
The Bank partnered with the Sanjeevani Institute for Empowerment and Development (SIED) to implement its HRDP in Yavatmal. The project began on 1st April 2016 and has helped to transform the villages of Manjarvaghal, Pathrad, Amla, Nibhora, Dhotra, Sonurly, Eklara, Vatkhed, Bargadgaon, Walinagar, and Shrirampur in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.
Over 9,600 individuals in these villages were mostly dependent on agriculture and the associated seasonal labour as their primary source of income. Through the HRDP, they have learned how to conserve and manage water in the district, bringing more land under cultivation. They have also learned new methods of crop diversification as well as other activities such as candle-making, stitching, backyard poultry and goatry management which have increased the household income.
In an handover ceremony held on Thursday, Hon’ble Minister of State for Energry, Tourism, Food, Drugs Administration and GAD for Maharashtra, Shri Madanbhau Yeravar was the Chief Guest for the event, and Mr. Gajendra Dixit, Regional Manager – CSR, HDFC Bank presided over the programme. Dignitaries at the event also included District Collector Shri Ajay Gulhane, District Superintending Agriculture Officer Shri Navnath Kolapkar, Deputy Collector Smt Savita Chaudhar, KVK Programme Co-ordinator Shri Suresh Nemade, Associate Research Director Dr. Pramod Yadgirwar and SIED Executive Director Shri J.R. Pawar.

Soil and water conservation
· Surface water harvesting and storage have led in increased surface water as well as ground water.
· In 2016-17, the average availability of water in all villages was recorded as 4 meters. In the year 2018-19, it has now increased to 5.82 meters.
Water management
· Demonstration of Water management practices have enabled farmers to take care of their water needs
· 171 small and large water conservation structures were created. These structures have created an additional storage capacity of 1,30,460.24 cubic meters.
· Training was provided to special water user groups on sustaining each water conservation structure. (42 groups of farmers each consisting of 8-10 farmers were created).
· Despite Maharashtra facing severe drought in the past year, the water projects in Yavatmal Municipal district have been thriving.
Education
· Water RO units were installed in 11 schools
· Four school libraries were upgraded
· Computers installation and training for students and teachers in 10 schools to promote digital education
· Demonstration on solar cooker usage in 11 Anganwadis
· Activities benefited 615 school students and 362 Anganwadi children in project villages.
Health
· 11 health camps organised in convergence with government hospitals in year 2018-19. These camps have treated 1238 persons.
· Health camps have helped residents understand the ailments in body and seek treatment.
Employment
· Training activities in last three years through HRDP have imparted skill trainings in candle making, stitching, backyard poultry and Goatry management to over 300 Households enabling people to receive employment
· Farmers in project villages are now harvesting multi-seasonal and multi-crop yields in a single year thus creating year round employment opportunities
Agriculture
· Crop diversification, protective irrigation, increased agricultural information, introduction of organic inputs to lower the overall input cost have helped in making agriculture more economical.
· Organized 77 crop diversification demonstrations in project villages to help diversify sources of income from agriculture for each household.
· Focus on converting farmers from regular crops (cotton) to vegetable growers and floriculture has been successful. More than 150 farmers are now cultivating vegetables today.
· Water conservation & storage structures has brought an additional 2,688.93 acres of cultivable land under irrigation in Kharif season and 2,679 acres in Rabbi season under protective irrigation. (Previously 885.42 acres in Kharif and 403.82 acres in Rabbi seasons in year 2016-2017)
· Introduction of vermi-compost and organic pesticides like dashparni, Jivamrut etc., have reduced agriculture input cost by 20%-25% per acre. 39 units of Vermi-compost and 55 unit’s organic pesticides were promoted
· Increased income from the agriculture have helped in improving quality of life
· Average production of 2,971 quintals has increased up to 5,826 quintals per village post project implementation.

· Government linkages have been built and residents are now accessing different government bodies
नागपूर : बेसा व बेलतरोडी येथील बांधकामांना ग्रामपंचायतीने मंजुरी देण्यात आल्याने जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी हरिहर हाऊसिंग एजन्सीला बजावलेली नोटीस मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठाने रद्दबातल केली. त्यामुळे त्या बिल्डर आणि तेथील रहिवाशांना मोठा दिलासा मिळाला आहे.
बेसा व बेलतरोडी येथे अवैध बांधकामे झाली असल्याचा आरोप करणारी जनहित याचिका हायकोर्टात दाखल करण्यात आली होती. तेव्हा त्या बांधकामांची चौकशी करण्यासाठी समिती स्थापन करण्यात आली. त्या समितीने दिलेल्या अहवालात बेसा व बेलतरोडी परिसरात सुमारे ३०० हून अधिक इमारतींचे नियमबाह्य बांधकाम झाले असल्याचे नमूद करण्यात आले होते. तर कोणत्याही बांधकामांना जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी मंजुरी दिलेली नाही, असे अहवालात म्हटले होते.
हायकोर्टाने अशा बांधकामांवर कारवाई करण्याचा आदेश दिला होता. त्यानुसार जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी हरिहर हाऊसिंग एजन्सीला नोटीस बजावली होती. त्यात हरिअर हाऊसिंगने बांधलेल्या घरकूल योजनेला ग्राम पंचायतीची परवानगी घेण्यात आली, तसेच जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांकडून परवानगी का घेण्यात आली नाही, असे नमूद केले होते. त्या नोटीसला आव्हान देणारी याचिका हरिहर हाऊसिंग एजन्सीने हायकोर्टात आव्हान दिले. त्यावर न्या. सुनील शुक्रे आणि न्या. श्रीराम मोडक यांच्या खंडपीठासमोर अंतिम सुनावणी झाली.
याचिकाकर्त्यांच्या वतीने बाजू मांडताना अॅड. प्रशांत कोठारी म्हणाले, जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी बजावलेल्या नोटीसमध्ये महाराष्ट्र रिजनल टाऊन प्लानिंग अॅक्टच्या कलम ५२ ते ५५ मधील तरतुदींचा उल्लेख केला होता. त्यात मेट्रोरिजनमधील बांधकामांना ग्राम पंचायतीने नव्हे तर जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी मंजुरी देणे अपेक्षित आहे, असे नमूद केले आहे. परंतु, घरकूल योजना अथवा बांधकामांना परवानगी न घेतल्याने कारवाई का करण्यात येऊ नये, असे नोटिसमध्ये म्हटले होते. मात्र, सदर नोटीस देताना जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी काही बाबींकडे दुर्लक्ष केले.
हरिहर हाऊसिंग एजन्सीच्या भूखंडाला ना शेतकी प्रमाणपत्र देतानाच त्या भूखंडावर होणाऱ्या बांधकामाची परवानगी संबंधित ग्राम पंचायतीकडून घेण्यात यावी, असे नमूद केले होते. इतकेच नव्हेतर नगर रचना विभागानेदेखील बांधकाम आराखडा हा संबंधित ग्रामपंचायतींकडून मंजूर करावा, अशी परवानगी दिली होती. याशिवाय एमआरटीपी कायद्याच्या कलम ५३ नुसार केवळ बिल्डरला नव्हेतर तेथील रहिवाश्यांनाही नोटीस बजावणे आवश्यक आहे. परंतु, जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी केवळ बिल्डरला नोटीस दिली. त्यामुळे कायद्यातील तरतुदींचे पालन झाले नाही, असा दावा करण्यात आला. सदर युक्तिवाद ग्राह्य मानून हायकोर्टाने हरिहर हाउसिंग एजन्सीला जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी बजावलेली नोटीस रद्द केली.
Nagpur : Honeywell, an American multinational conglomerate that produces commercial and consumer products, engineering services and aerospace systems, has planned to set up a Rs 1,200 crore Spectra cloth manufacturing plant here. The proposed unit will manufacture cloth for military applications.
In this regard, a senior level delegation from Honeywell met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai on Thursday. The delegation showed keen interest in setting up the manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. However, the CM persuaded the Honeywell officials to set up the plant at Butibori MIDC as there is ample land available. Besides, Butibori industrial area is well connected with rail, road and air connectivity. In addition to this, the Chief Minister also highlighted the low electricity tariffs and best of infrastructure available in the area. Fadnavis also assured the delegation to provide all necessary assistance from his end to set up the plant.
P Anbalagan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) said that the Honeywell manufacturing unit will be a highly capital intensive and state-of-the-art facility which will provide direct employment to 150 to 200 people. He also said that the unit will provide indirect employment to large number of people.
The company will be manufacturing Spectra, a durable material and one of the worlds strongest and lightest fibres which is used for various military and non military purposes. In the first phase the company will invest Rs 1,000 crore and remaining Rs 200 crore will be invested in the second phase. The company may increase the investment for further expansion in coming days. “The CM wants to promote Butibori MIDC as a defence hub. Honeywell’s new plant will be in line with these objectives,” he added.
About 15 days ago Honeywell representatives had visited Butibori MIDC and identified a 50 acre plot for the new manufacturing unit, he said.
Anbalagan said that it has been decided that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between MIDC and Honeywell within a month. He said athat Butibori MIDC offers industry friendly environment and has set up a MIDC venture capital fund with a corpus of Rs 300 crore for smaller companies interested in setting up their units.
नागपूर : अंबाझरी तलाव परिसराच्या आजूबाजूने असलेल्या राखीव जंगलात जैवविविधता उद्यान उभारण्यात आले असून, आता शहराच्या मध्यभागी पर्यटन व निसर्गभ्रमंतीच्या दृष्टीने एक आगळेवेगळ निसर्गरम्य ठिकाण पयर्टकांना उपबल्ध होणार आहे. या जैवविविधता उद्यानाचा लोकार्पण सोहळा मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस व केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या हस्ते येत्या रविवारी, २८ जुलैला दुपारी तीन वाजता आयोजित करण्यात आला आहे.
या उद्यानाबद्दल माहिती देताना राज्यमंत्री डॉ. परिणय फुके म्हणाले, शहराच्या मध्यवर्ती ठिकाणी असलेले हे उद्यान नागरिकांसाठी पर्यटनाची उत्तम पर्वणी ठरणार आहे. सुमारे ७५८.७४ हेक्टर क्षेत्रात हे उद्याान तयार करण्यात आले आहे. निसर्ग पायवाटेसह सायकल ट्रॅक, वॉच टॉवर, ई-रिक्षा आदी सुविधा याठिकाणी करण्यात आल्या आहेत. या परिसरात १५ प्रकारच्या गवती प्रजाती असून, ४५० प्रजातीच्या वनस्पती, ७० प्रजातीच्या वृक्षप्रजाती तसेच १०५ निवासी, तर ४० स्थलांतरित पक्षी प्रजाती आहेत. फुलपाखरांच्या १०५ प्रजाती आहेत. २० वनतलाव याठिकाणी करण्यात आले असून, या तलावालगतचा परिसर स्वच्छ करून पर्यटकांना बसण्यासाठी व्यवस्था करण्यात आली आहे. साहसी खेळदेखील याठिकाणी सुरू करण्यात येणार आहेत. जैवविविधता उद्यानात ११ किलोमीटरचा सायकल ट्रॅक करण्यात आला असून, सात बॅटरी पॉवर्ड सायकलींसह एकूण २५ सायकली आहेत. पर्यटकांना मार्गदर्शन करण्यासाठी गाईड असून, प्रवेश फी २० रुपये ठेवण्यात येईल. याशिवाय सायकलिंग, ई-रिक्शा, बायनॉकुलर, पक्षीनिरीक्षण आदीसाठी मोघम शुल्क आकारण्यात येईल, असेही डॉ. फुके यांनी स्पष्ट केले.
या लोकार्पण सोहळ्याला प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून वनमंत्री सुधीर मुनगंटीवार, पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे उपस्थित राहतील, अशी माहितीही डॉ. फुके यांनी दिली.
‘इंडियन सफारी’चे काम १० ऑगस्टपर्यंत !
गोरेवाड्यातील इंडियन सफारीचे काम दहा ऑगस्टपर्यंत पूर्ण करण्याचे निर्देश संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांना देण्यात आली आहे. येत्या १५ ऑगस्टला गोरेवाडा आंतरराष्ट्रीय प्राणिसंग्रहालयातील भारतीय सफारीचे उद्घाटन प्रस्तावित आहे. यातील बिबट सफारीकरिता बचाव केंद्रातील बिबट याठिकाणी सोडण्यात येणार आहे. मात्र, त्यासाठी केंद्रीय प्राणीसंग्रहालय प्राधीकरणाची मंजुरी अजून मिळायची आहे, असे राज्यमंत्री डॉ. परिणय फुके यांनी सांगितले.
नागपूर : ‘उपराजधानीत निव्वळ अत्यंत देखणी वास्तूच नव्हे, तर शैक्षणिक दर्जा आणि संशोधनामुळे ‘सिम्बॉयसिस’चे नागपूर कॅम्पस अल्पावधीत जागतिक दर्जाचे होईल,’ असा विश्वास सिम्बॉयसिस इंटरनॅशनल युनिव्हर्सिटीच्या प्र-कुलपती डॉ. विद्या येरवडेकर यांनी व्यक्त केला.
सिम्बॉयसिस नागपूर कॅम्पसचे रविवारी सकाळी ११ वाजता केंद्रीय परिवहन व महामार्ग मंत्री नितीन गडकरी आणि मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या हस्ते उद्घाटन होत आहे. या उद्घाटन समारंभाची माहिती देताना डॉ. विद्या येरवडेकर म्हणाल्या, ‘नागपुरातदेखील सिम्बॉयसिसचे कॅम्पस स्थापन करण्याचा आग्रह केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी केला. राज्य सरकारच्या सहकार्याने वाठोडा येथे संस्थेला ७५ एकर जमीन मिळाली. तिथे १३ ऑगस्ट २०१८ रोजी भूमिपूजन करण्यात आले, तर अवघ्या १३ महिन्यांत सुमारे १३ लाख चौरस मीटरचे बांधकाम करण्यात आले. येथील इमारतींमध्ये अत्याधुनिक शैक्षणिक सोयी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आल्या आहेत. त्यामुळे नागपूर कॅम्पस हे आजवरचे सर्वांत आधुनिक व पर्यावरणपूरक कॅम्पस झाले आहे.’
सिम्बॉयसिस नागपूरच्या कॅम्पसमध्ये चार प्रमुख कोर्सेस सुरू करण्यात आले आहेत. त्यात सिम्बॉयसिस इन्स्टिट्युट ऑफ बिझनेस मॅनेजमेंट मध्ये दोन वर्षांचा एमबीए कोर्स सुरू करण्यात आला आहे. सदर अभ्यासक्रम हा सिम्बॉयसिस स्कूल ऑफ मॅनेजमेंटच्या अंतर्गत राबवण्यात येणार आहे, तर ‘सिम्बॉयसिस सेंटर फॉर मॅनजमेंट स्टडीज’ ही दुसरी शाखा असून तिथे तीन वर्षीय बीबीए अभ्यासक्रम शिकवण्यात येणार आहे. नागपूर व परिसरातील राज्यांतून या कोर्ससाठी अधिक मागणी होती. याशिवाय सिम्बॉयसिस लॉ स्कूल ही विधी क्षेत्रातील शाखाही येथे सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. या लॉ स्कूलमध्ये बीए एलएलबी, बीबीए एलएलबी आणि एलएलएम असे तीन अभ्यासक्रम उपलब्ध होणार आहे. यातील एलएलएल हा कोर्स आंतरविद्याशाखा राहणार आहेत. हा कोर्स एक वर्षाचा राहणार आहे.
याशिवाय ‘सिम्बॉयसिस स्कूल ऑफ प्लानिंग अॅण्ड डिझाइन’ ही नवीन शाखा येथे सुरू करण्यात येत आहे. येथे. बॅचलर ऑफ डिझाइन, मास्टर्स इन डिझाइन आणि बॅचलर ऑफ आर्किटेक्चर तसेच मास्टर्स इन आर्किटेक्चर असे चार अभ्यासक्रम राहणार आहेत. त्यापैकी ‘मास्टर्स इन डिझाइन’ हा दोन वर्षांचा अभ्यासक्रम राहणार आहे, तर बॅचलर ऑफ आर्किटेक्चर हा कोर्स पाच वर्षांचा राहणार आहे. या कोर्ससाठी १४ ऑगस्टपर्यंत विद्यार्थ्यांना नोंदणी करता येईल.
आगामी काळात सिम्बॉयसिसच्या नागपूर शाखेत आरोग्य, माहिती व तंत्रज्ञान आणि जनसंवाद या तीन क्षेत्रातील कोर्सेसही सुरू होणार आहे. या नागपूर कॅम्पसमधील प्रत्येक अभ्यासक्रमात २५ टक्के जागा स्थानिक विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी राखीव आहेत. त्यांना शिक्षणशुल्कात १५ टक्के सवलतदेखील देण्यात आली आहे, अशी माहिती डॉ. येरवडेकर यांनी दिली. पत्रपरिषदेला विद्याशाखा अधिष्ठाता डॉ. भामा व्यंकटरमाणी, कॅम्पस संचालक डॉ. अमय येरवडेकर, डिझाइन व प्लानिंग कोर्सचे संचालक प्रो. पी. स. सिंधू, मॅनेजमेंट संचालक डॉ. श्रीरंग अलतेकर आणि डॉ. सुखविंदरसिंग दारी उपस्थित होते.

नागपूर : नागपूरवरून बेंगळुरूकडे निघालेल्या संघमित्रा एक्स्प्रेसचे कपलिंग तुटल्यामुळे इंजिन गाडीपासून वेगळे झाले. इंजिन व त्याला जोडलेले दोन डबेच पुढे जायला लागले. या प्रकारामुळे रेल्वे प्रवाशांमध्ये खळबळ उडाली. ही घटना भद्रावती- माजरीदरम्यान शुक्रवारी रात्री ८.१५ वाजताच्या सुमारास घडली.
१२२९६ पाटणा- बेंगळुरू संघमित्रा एक्स्प्रेस शुक्रवारी सायंकाळी ६ वाजता नागपूर रेल्वेस्थानकावर आली. दहा मिनिटे थांबून ती पुढील प्रवासाला निघाली. सेवाग्राम रेल्वेस्थानकानंतर गाडी पुढे भद्रावती मार्गाने माजरी रेल्वेस्थानकाकडे जात असताना अचानक डब्याचे कपलिंग निघल्याने इंजिनला लागून असलेले तीन डबे (एस-१ आणि जनरलचे दोन डबे) सोबत घेऊन इंजिन पुढे निघाले. एस-२ पासून उर्वरित जवळपास १८-१९ डबे मागेच राहिले. मागे राहिलेल्या डब्यांचा वेग अचानक कमी झाल्याने त्यातील प्रवाशांना शंका आली. त्यामुळे काही प्रवाशांनी दारातून बाहेर पाहिले असता इंजिन व तीन डबे गाडीपासून वेगळे झाल्याचे लक्षात आले.
मागे राहिलेले डबे थांबताच प्रवासी पटापट खाली उतरले, तर तिकडे इंजिनसोबत गेलेले डबे दोन कि. मी. अंतरावर जाऊन थांबले. विशेष म्हणजे, जे डबे मागे राहिले, त्यात गार्ड होता. लोकोपालयट आणि सहायक लोकोपायलटच्या लक्षात येताच या घटनेची सूचना माजरी रेल्वेस्थानकाला देण्यात आली. लागलीच स्टेशन मास्टर, रेल्वे अधिकारी, कर्मचाऱ्यांनी घटनास्थळी धाव घेतली. त्यानंतर इंजिन मागे घेण्यात आले व अर्धा तासाच्या प्रयत्नानंतर कपलिंग जोडून ही गाडी पुढील प्रवासाला निघाली.
नागपूर: वर्धा मार्गावर मेट्रो सेवा सुरू असून, लवकरच हिंगणा मार्गावर मेट्रो सेवा सुरू करण्यासाठी महामेट्रोची यंत्रणा कामाला लागली आहे. अवघ्या १४ महिन्यांच्या कालावधीत या रिचमधील ११ किलोमीटर ट्रॅक कास्टिंगचे कार्य पूर्ण करण्यात आले. ओएचई केबलचे कार्य अंतिम टप्प्यात असून, लवकरच या ठिकाणी विद्युतलाइन चार्ज केली जाणार असल्याचे महामेट्रोकडून सांगण्यात आले.
मेट्रो रेल्वे चालविण्यासाठी ओएचई विद्युत केबल महत्त्वाची भूमिका पार पाडणार आहे. नागपूर मेट्रो रेल प्रकल्पामध्ये १०८० ग्रेडचे हेड हार्डनड रूळ वापरण्यात आले आहे. १०८० ग्रेडचे हेड हार्डनड रूळ अत्याधुनिक पद्धतीने बनविल्या जाते, ज्यामध्ये रुळाच्या वरील भागावर बळकट बनविण्याकरिता विशेष लक्ष दिले जाते. यामुळे रुळाचे आयुष्य वाढते.
आरडीएसओने मेट्रोच्या कामासाठी ६० किलो १०८० एचएच रूळचा वापर करणे अनिवार्य केले आहे. भारतातील सर्व मेट्रोमध्ये याचा वापर करण्यात आला आहे. रुळाचे हेड हे हार्ड म्हणजेच कडक असते, जे रेल्वेच्या चाकांना आधार देते व स्थिरता प्रदान करते. एक किलोमीटरचा ट्रॅक निर्माण करण्याकरिता १२० टनच्या रेलची आवश्यकता असते. इतर मेट्रोमध्ये रुळाची लांबी १८ मी आहे. मात्र, नागपूर मेट्रोसाठी वापरण्यात आलेले रूळ २५ मी. लांबीचे आहेत. नागपूर मेट्रोने रशियावरून या रूळाची आयात केली आहे.
…अशा झाल्या चाचण्या
रूळ एवराज कंपनीच्या वेस्ट साईबिरीयन मेटलर्जीकल कारखान्यामध्ये तयार केल्या गेले. या रुळाचे उत्पादन झाल्यावर रुळाची गुणवत्ता तपासण्यासाठी ध्वनिलहरी चाचणी, प्रोफाइल मापन, विद्युत तपासणी, अल्ट्रासॉनिक चाचणी, बार कोडिंग इत्यादी प्रकारच्या चाचण्या घेण्यात आल्या आहे. नागपूर मेट्रोने रूळाच्या चाचणी आणि निरीक्षणाकरिता जगातील सर्वोत्कृष्ट चाचणी आणि ऑडिटिंग एजन्सी ‘मेसर्स एसजीएस वोस्तोंक’ला नियुक्त केले आहे.
नागपूर: सेंट्रिंगचे काम करणाऱ्या युवकाचे एक लाखाच्या खंडणीसाठी अपहरण करण्यात आले. पाचपावली पोलिसांनी वेळीच सापळा रचून युवकाची सुटका करीत तीन महिलांसह सात जणांना अटक केल्याने अनर्थ टळला. अटकेतील आरोपींमध्ये सूत्रधार सावकाराचाही समावेश आहे. रचना विलास पराते, श्रीमती सोमू दीपक चक्रधर, रसिका राजेश हाटे, राजा ऊर्फ संग्राम अशोक पाटील, गणेश दशरथ निनावे ,गौरव सूर्यकांत ढवळे व सूत्रधार निर्मलकर, अशी अटकेतील अपहरणकर्त्यांची नावे आहेत. संजय चंद्रू शाहू (वय २६,रा. विजयनगर),असे युवकाचे नाव आहे.
संजय हा सेंट्रिगचे काम करतो. निर्मलकर हा व्याजाने पैसे देतो. त्याने रचना व अन्य साथीदाराच्या मदतीने संजय याचे अपहरण करुन एक लाखाची खंडणी मागण्याचा कट आखला. संजयचा मित्र माझ्याकडून व्याजाने पैसे घेईल, हे त्याला ठावूक होते, त्यामुळेच त्याने हा कट आखल्याचे पोलिसांनी सांगितले. २२ जुलैला रचनाने संजयला कमाल चौक येथे बोलाविले. तेथून दोघे सीताबर्डी येथे आले. सीताबर्डीतून तिने संजयला वडधामना भागात नेले. येथे तिचे अन्य साथीदार कारमध्ये होते. संजयला बळजबरीने तिने कारमध्ये बसविले. सहा जणांनी संजयचे अपहरण केले. त्यानंतर अपरहणकर्त्यांनी संजयचा मित्र शेख हमीद याच्या मोबाइलवर संपर्क साधून एक लाख रुपयांची खंडणी मागितली. पैसे घेऊन हमीदला अग्रसेन चौकात बोलाविले.
हमीदने पाचपावली पोलिसांना घटनेची माहिती दिली. युवकाचे अपहरण झाल्याचे कळताच पोलिसांमध्ये खळबळ उडाली. पोलिस उपायुक्त राहुल माकणीकर यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली पाचपावली पोलिस स्टेशनचे वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक अशोक मेश्राम, उपनिरीक्षक गोडबोले, रामटेके, हेडकॉन्स्टेबल विजय यादव, राजेश देशमुख, अनिरुद्ध मेश्राम, चिंतामण डाखोरे, सुरेखा, महेश जाधव, विजय माने, विनोद व सुमित यांनी अपहरकर्त्यांचा शोध घेतला. पाठलाग करून पोलिसांनी अपहरकर्त्यांना अटक केली व संजयची सुटका केली.
मेट्रो कर्मचाऱ्याच्या वेषात रचला सापळा
अपहरणकर्त्यांनी अग्रसेन चौकात पैसे घेऊन बोलाविल्याचे हमीदने पोलिसांना सांगितले. वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक अशोक मेश्राम व त्यांचे सहकारी साध्या गणवेशात अग्रसेन चौकात पोहोचले. पोलिसांनी मेट्रो रेल्वेच्या गार्डचे जॅकेट व हेल्मेट घातले. त्यामुळे पोलिस हे मेट्रोचेच कर्मचारी असल्याचे भासत होते अग्रसेन चौकात रचना, सोमू व रसिका पैसे घेण्यासाठी आले. पोलिसांनी तिघींना ताब्यात घेतले. त्यानंतर पाठलाग करून अन्य अपहरणकर्त्यांना अटक केली. गुरुवारी रात्री पोलिसांनी सूत्रधार निर्मलकर यालाही अटक केली.
