नागपुर : दो बार ब्रेन ट्यूमर की शिकार होने और उससे उबरने की कहानी डॉ. जयश्री जयंत उपाध्ये ने अपनी दो पुस्तकों में बयां किया है। रविवार को परसिस्टेंट स्थित कवि कुलगुरु कालिदास सभागृह में डॉ. उपाध्ये की पुस्तकों ‘प्राजक्ता’ और ‘मी मझ हरपुन’ का विमोचन डॉ. प्रज्ञा आपटे, सुप्रिया अय्यर और शैलेश पांडे ने किया। पुस्तक प्राजक्ता की विषयवस्तु पर शैलेश पांडे ने प्रकाश डाला। इसमें डॉ. जयश्री ने अपने आसपास के लोगों से मिले सहयोग का जिक्र किया है। मी मझ हरपुन उनकी आत्मकथात्मक उपन्यास है। इसमें उन्होंने बीमारी के दौरान पति से मिले सहयोग का जिक्र किया है। डॉ. उपाध्ये ने बताया कि दोनों किताबों का ऑडियो संस्करण भी तैयार किया गया है। किताबों से होने वाली आय ब्लाइंड रिलीफ एसोसिएशन और सक्षम की ओर से संचालित ई-बुक लाइब्रेरी को प्रदान किया जाएगा। कार्यक्रम का संचालन रेणुका देशकर ने किया। कार्यक्रम में कई अन्य कैंसर विजेताओं का सम्मान भी किया गया।
नागपुर : सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ सेकंडरी एजुकेशन (सीबीएसई) स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले छात्र-छात्राओं को नए बदलावों के साथ अगले सत्र में पढ़ाई करने का मौका मिलेगा। सीबीएसई की ओर से वेबसाइट पर एक नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया गया है। इसके हिसाब से संस्कृत, इंग्लिश और हिंदी के करिकुलम में बदलाव देखने को मिलेगा। यह परिवर्तन कक्षा 9वीं से 12वीं तक के लिए होगा। इसमें इंटरनल असेसमेंट के साथ मूल्यांकन भी शामिल है। इसके साथ नए सत्र में भाषा की किताबें भी बदल जाएंगी। इसमें अंग्रेजी के साथ संस्कृत और हिन्दी की किताबें भी शामिल होंगी। इन तीनों विषयों की किताबें अब एनसीईआरटी द्वारा प्रकाशित की जाएंगी।
अब तक भाषा की किताबें खुद सीबीएसई द्वारा प्रकाशित की जाती थीं, लेकिन अब इसमें नए प्रयोग देखने को मिलेंगे। स्कूलों में नए सत्र में जो करिकुलम घोषित होगा, उसे ही सभी स्कूलों में लागू किया जाएगा। बोर्ड की मानें तो स्कूल स्टडी पर छात्र का अधिक फोकस हो, इसके लिए इंटरनल असेसमेंट के 20 अंकों में बदलाव किया जाएगा। यह बदलाव कक्षा 9वीं-10वीं और 11वीं-12वीं में अलग-अलग किया जाएगा। एक्सपर्ट का कहना है कि मूल्यांकन और स्कूल वर्क में भी बदलाव होगा। इंटरनल असेसमेंट की जानकारी भी स्कूलों को जल्द दे दी जाएगी।
Nagpur : Siya Deodhar of Nagpur has been selected by the NBA and NCAA for a training in the United States. She was selected on the basis of her consistent performance during the last two years at the NBA Academy India Women’s training program. She is the only player from Maharashtra.
The 16-year-old Siya is a student of BVM Civil Lines is among the four Indian girls selected by the NBA for the Next Generation Global Camp scheduled to be held at Florida from April 3 to 7. Siya practices at the local Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG) under Shatrughna Gokhale and Vinay Chikate.
NBA Academies Women’s Program participants from Africa, Australia, China, India, and Mexico, in addition to select players from Canada and Europe, will compete in a three-day minicamp led by NBA Academies Women’s Program Technical Directors Jennifer Azzi and Blair Hardiek, culminating with exhibition games at Next Generation Saturday on April 6 at the Women’s Final Four. Siya is the first player from city to get selected for advanced training by the NBA. President of the Nagpur District Basketball Association (NDBA) Sandip Joshi, Secretary Bhavesh Kuchanwar and all the members of the district association congratulated Siya and wished her all the luck for the selection.
The camp is hosted by the NCAA in partnership with USA Basketball and the NBA Academies program, and with support from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, the collaboration provides young athletes with educational and life-skills sessions, allows them to compete against their peers from around the world, and lets them experience aspects of the Final Four from a player’s perspective, including attending Final Four semifinal games.
Nagpur : All India Consumer Welfare Council organised a special programme to celebrate ‘International Consumer Day’ under the chairmanship of Ashwin Mehadia, President of the Council, Nagpur District. Nagpur : Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) and ECGC Limited, a Government of India Enterprise organised a seminar on ‘Risk management in export transactions’ at the Chamber premises. The primary objective of the seminar was to create awareness regarding the various products, their scope, procedural aspects of ECGC and information on export credit risk and other trade related activities to the esteemed exporters of Vidarbha. The programme discussed the various commercial and political risks involved in exports executed on short-term credits. Rejesh Desurkar, Branch Manager of ECGC Ltd and Rajesh Borikar, AD, DGFT and Nitin Vaidya, Assistant Manager of ECGC Ltd were speakers. In his speech, Borikar said, “In the coming days, Nagpur will emerge as export hub.” He called upon the members of NVCC to avail the schemes launched by the Central Government to increase exports. Panaji : Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, a former defence minister who had been battling a pancreatic ailment for over a year, died at his private residence near here on Sunday. He was 63.
The health of Parrikar, a technocrat-turned-politician and BJP stalwart, took a turn for the worse in the past two days after his medical condition fluctuated for over a year. The four-term chief minister was flown to the US for treatment in March last year.
“The chief minister died around 6.40 pm on Sunday,” said a senior state government official. Sources said Parrikar was put on life support system late Saturday night. A widower, Parrikar is survived by his two sons and their families. The central government announced national mourning on Monday.
Several top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh will be in Goa on Monday to attend Manohar Parrikar’s last rites. Modi condoled the death of Parrikar, hailing him as an “unparalleled leader”. “Shri Manohar Parrikar was an unparalleled leader. A true patriot and exceptional administrator, he was admired by all. His impeccable service to the nation will be remembered by generations. Deeply saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti,” Modi said in one of several tweets.
“Shri Manohar Parrikar was the builder of modern Goa. Thanks to his affable personality and accessible nature, he remained the preferred leader of the state for years. His pro-people policies ensured Goa scales remarkable heights of progress.
“India will be eternally grateful to Shri Manohar Parrikar for his tenure as our Defence Minister. When he was RM, India witnessed a series of decisions that enhanced India’s security capacities, boosted indigenous defence production and bettered the lives of ex-servicemen,” Modi said.
Parrikar was a leader who enjoyed acceptance from all sections of the BJP and beyond. He played a key role in making the BJP a force to reckon with in Goa, which remained for long a Congress bastion, with regional outfits having pockets of influence.
Despite his falling health, Parrikar had presented two state budgets in 2018 and 2019 and had attended public functions, including the inauguration of an iconic bridge across River Mandovi.
A known fighter, an ailing Parrikar’s decision to go for a ride and inspect two upcoming bridges in the state with a feeder tube protruding from one nostril was a defining image and sought to suggest that he was still in-charge of the state.
In a tweet, President Ram Nath Kovind said, “Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar, chief minister of Goa, after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity.
“An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and India will not be forgotten,” the President tweeted from his official handle.
BJP president Amit Shah wrote on Twitter, “Manohar Parrikar ji’s demise is extremely painful. In him, the nation has lost a true patriot who selflessly dedicated his entire life to the country and ideology. Parrikar jis commitment towards his people and duties was exemplary.”
Several political leaders, including Union AYUSH minister and Goa MP Shripad Naik, assembly speaker Pramod Sawant and Lok Sabha MP Narendra Sawaikar, reached Parrikar’s private residence in Dona Paula after the news of his demise broke.
Born on December 13, 1955 into a middle-class family, his political career began as an RSS pracharak and he continued working for the Sangh even after graduating from IIT-Bombay as a metallurgical engineer.
Parrikar entered electoral politics in 1994 when he won on a BJP ticket from Panaji constituency. He was the defence minister from November 2014 to March 2017 during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Nagpur : With an intent to bridge the gap between builders and buyers, CREDAI, Nagpur Metro has taken a big leap by announcing the launch of ‘Property Search App.’ The App has been launched in association with Dygn Media. On the very first day, 13 projects have been registered and another 22 are in pipeline. Nagpur Chapter is the first in the country to launch such concept.
Disclosing this at a press conference on Friday, Anil Nair, President of CREDAI, Nagpur Metro said, the App can be downloaded free of cost from Google App Store by anyone.
To download the App, one has to go Google Play Store and search for CREDAI Nagpur Metro. From there, download the application and start searching property directly,” he said.
“The application will bring you an user-friendly experience to help you find your dream home in Nagpur. All the information is at your fingertips,” he said.
Gaurav Agarwala, Secretary of CREDAI, Nagpur Metro said, the App showcases all the properties available in the searched areas and builder details. In the application, the buyer can search the properties on the basis of size of the flat/price range/ or location wise. The buyer can even shortlist the properties and can later contact the builder. “The option to view all the shortlisted properties is also available in the application. Through this application, buyers can contact builders directly avoiding any middlemen,” he said.
Vishal Agrawal, Head of Expo Committee said, all the properties showcased will be genuine where no brokerage or brokers are available. Around 500 properties will be registered. The properties will of CREDAI, Nagpur Metro members only and RERA registered. There are homes from 1 BHK to 4 BHK.
The prices starts from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 3 crore. The properties are verified by a panel of 6 members of CREDAI, Nagpur Metro. All the properties showcased are approved by NMC, NIT, NMRDA and loans available from leading banks, he added.

कविवर्य सुरेश भट यांच्या पुण्यतिथीनिमित्त सुरेश भटांच्या ‘एल्गार’ आणि ‘भीमवंदना’ या दोन रचनांचे वाचन करण्यात यावे अशी इच्छा कविवर्य सुरेश भट यांची मुलगी विशाखा भट महाजन यांनी व्यक्त केली होती. त्यानुसार सभागृहाचे व्यवस्थापक प्रदीपकुमार तुंबडे यांनी ‘एल्गार’ तर मनपा शाळेचे कला शिक्षक कमलाकर मानमोडे यांनी ‘भीमवंदना’ या कवितांचे वाचन करून कविवर्य सुरेश भट यांना अभिवादन केले.
यावेळी सुधीर कोरमकर, विलास चितलवार, परमानंद लोणारे, बलवंत गजबे, विनय कांबळे, चेतन सातपुते आदी उपस्थित होते.
नागपुर : क्राइम ब्रांच के सामाजिक सुरक्षा विभाग ने गुरुवार दोपहर को गोपनीय जानकारी के आधार पर मनीषनगर की पौश कालोनी के एक फ्लैट में चल रहे सेक्स रैकेट पर छापा मारा।
पुलिस ने देह व्यवसाय में फंसी 2 कालेज छात्राओं को अपने कब्जे में लिया है। रैकेट चलाने वाली महिला मनीषनगर निवासी कल्पना अशोक मंचेलवार (40) को गिरफ्तार किया है।
पुलिस को जानकारी मिली थी कि कल्पना अपने फ्लैट में देह व्यवसाय चला रही है।खबर के आधार पर सामाजिक सुरक्षा विभाग के पोलिस इंस्पेक्टर उमेश बेसरकर ने पंटर को भेजा। पंटर ने फ्लैट में जाकर पुलिस को सूचना दी। इशारा मिलते ही पुलिस ने फ्लैट में छापा मार दिया। उसके खिलाफ बेलतरोड़ी थाने मामला दर्ज किया गया है|
नागपुर : स्मृति थियेटर 21 मार्च से नए नाम बूटी सिनेप्लेक्स के साथ फिर शहर के सिने प्रेमियों के लिए शुरू हो रहा है। पिछले वर्ष सितंबर में तत्कालीन स्मृति थियेटर के प्रबंधन के पीछे हट जाने पर संपत्ति विक्रम बूटी को वापस मिल गई थी। विक्रम बूटी के बेटे रोहित बूटी ने कहा कि पिछले 6 माह से वे थियेटर शुरू करने के लिए लाइसेंस के इंतजार में थे। उन्होंने बताया कि थियेटर की शुरुआत में 19 व 20 मार्च को उरी-द सर्जकिल स्ट्राइक फिल्म की चैरिटी शो का आयोजन किया गया है। 21 मार्च को अक्षय कुमार की फिल्म केसरी रिलीज की जाएगी।
उल्लेखनीय है कि स्मृति थियेटर गत वर्ष 1 सितंबर को बंद कर दिया गया था। उस समय शहर के सिने प्रेमी नागरिकों ने भारी निराशा व्यक्त की थी। रोहित बूटी के अनुसार थियेटर को तकनीकी रूप से बेहतर किया गया है, जिससे फिल्म देखने का अनुभव और अधिक बेहतर होगा। थियेटर में 5.1 डाॅल्बी साउंड सिस्टम और 2-के बार का प्राेजेक्टर लगाया गया है। इसके साथ ही अब थ्रीडी फिल्मों का प्रदर्शन भी संभव होगा।
पिछले तीन वर्ष में शहर में चार सिंगल स्क्रीन थियेटर जयश्री, नटराज, रिजेंट और आशीर्वाद बंद हो चुके हैं। दो वर्ष में राज्य भर में लगभग 500 सिंगल थियेटर बंद हो चुके हैं।

मुझे नया नागपुर देखने को मिला है। उन्होंने अपने समय के संगीत के बारे में चर्चा हुए कहा कि हमारे समय एक गाने की रिकार्डिंग करने में लगभग 15-20 दिन लगते थे, उसके बाद गाना सेट पर जाता था, जिससे सिंगर्स को गाना याद हो जाता था। गाना कौन सा गायक गाएगा, किसकी आवाज गाने में सूट करेगी इन सब के लिए म्यूजिक डायरेक्टर चर्चा करते थे। अब समय बहुत बदल गया है। आज का समय बहुत अलग है। सिंगर्स को खुद ही अपने गाने की एक लाइन से ज्यादा याद नहीं रहता है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के समय में उन्हें शंकर महादेवन और श्रेया घोषाल की गायकी पसंद है।

नागपूर : महाराष्ट्र राज्य शिक्षण मंडळाद्वारे घेण्यात येणाऱ्या दहावी आणि बारावीच्या परीक्षेत बनावट विद्यार्थी बसवणे व मूळ विद्यार्थ्यांच्या उत्तरपत्रिका बदलवून उत्तीर्ण करवून देणाऱ्या रॅकेटचा भंडाफोड करण्यात जरीपटका पोलिसांना यश आले आहे. याप्रकरणी तिघांना अटक करण्यात आली व एका सेवानिवृत्त मुख्याध्यापकाला ताब्यात घेण्यात आले आहे.
यात मंडळाचे अधिकारी, कर्मचारी व मूल्यांकन करणाऱ्या शिक्षकांचा सहभाग असल्याचे दिसून येत आहे, अशी माहिती पोलीस उपायुक्त हर्ष पोद्दार यांनी दिली.

The employees working on all the four reach (routes) of MahaMetro were explained the significance and importance of safety. Similarly, safety employees presented various demonstrations at various points, which are visited by a large number of people.

नागपुर : सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ सेकंडरी एजुकेशन (सीबीएसई) के कक्षा 10वीं, 12वीं के परीक्षार्थी अब परीक्षा हॉल में पानी की बोतल ले जा सकेंगे। परीक्षा के दौरान घड़ी भी पहन सकेंगे। परीक्षा सेे पहले किसी भी छात्र के जूते उतरवाकर जांच नहीं की जाएगी। सीबीएसई ने बोर्ड एग्जाम में शामिल परीक्षार्थियों के निरंतर मिल रहे फीडबैक के बाद यह बदलाव किया है। इसकी वजह है कि इस बार सीबीएसई ने बोर्ड परीक्षा को लेकर सख्त नियम बनाए थे, जिसमें घड़ी से लेकर पानी की बोतल तक पर पाबंदी लगा दी थी। इससे परीक्षार्थियों को परेशानी हो रही थी।
नियमानुसार परीक्षार्थी डिजिटल घड़ी नहीं पहन सकते हैं। नॉर्मल या एनालॉग घड़ी ही पहन कर परीक्षा हॉल में जा सकेंगे। सीबीएसई ने बोर्ड परीक्षा में ऐसे कई नियम बनाए थे, जो इंजीनियरिंग और मेडिकल आदि प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं के लिए होते थे। परीक्षा केंद्र पर पहुंचने के साथ ही उनकी कई बार जांच की जाती थी। इससे कई परीक्षार्थी नर्वस हो जाते थे। सीबीएसई कक्षा 10वीं के बोर्ड एक्जाम 29 मार्च तक रहेंगे। वहीं कक्षा 12वीं के बोर्ड एक्जाम 3 अप्रैल तक चलेंगे।
असेसमेंट सर्वे 2017-18 में कक्षा 10 के स्टूडेंट्स की खराब परफॉर्मेंस के बाद अब सीबीएसई ने मूल्यांकन प्रक्रिया में बदलाव किया है। अब सत्र 2019-20 से कक्षा 12वीं के मैथ्स सब्जेक्ट में इंटरनल असेसमेंट शुरू कर दिया जाएगा। इस सब्जेक्ट में अभी तक 100 मार्क्स का बोर्ड एक्जाम ही होता था, लेकिन अगले सत्र से 80 मार्क्स का बोर्ड एक्जाम और 20 मार्क्स का इंटरनल असेसमेंट होगा। मैथ्स के अतिरिक्त लैंग्वेज, पॉलिटिकल साइंस और लीगल स्टडीज में भी नया अनुपात लागू हो जाएगा। स्टूडेंट्स के लर्निंग आउटकम को बेहतर बनाने और उनकी समीक्षात्मक और रचनात्मक सोच को बढ़ावा देने के लिए यह बदलाव किया गया है। इंटरनल असेसमेंट के साथ ही सभी सब्जेक्ट्स के पेपर में कम से कम 25 % अंक के ऑब्जेक्टिव क्वेश्चंस भी होंगे। 75% मार्क्स के सब्जेक्टिव क्वेश्चंस की संख्या भी कम कर दी जाएगी, ताकि विश्लेषणात्मक आैर रचनात्मक उत्तर लिखने के लिए पर्याप्त समय मिले।

प्रवीण व लाभेश हे दोघे १२ मार्च रोजी रात्री महाल येथील राजेंद्र हायस्कूल जवळ बाबा पान पँलेस गल्लीत चहा पिण्यासाठी गेले होते. त्याच दरम्यान आरोपी सोनू पवार वय ४० वर्ष रा. गाडीखाना , हा त्याच्या अन्य साथीदारांना घेऊन तेथे पोहचला व जुन्यावादातून आरोपींनी दोघांवरही धारदार शस्त्राने हल्ला करून त्यांना जिवे ठार करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. याप्रकरणी गणेशपेठ पोलिसांनी खुनाच्या प्रयत्नाचा गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे.

मंगळवारी सायंकाळी पोलिसांनी छापा टाकून मालकाला अटक केली. पीडित ३५ वर्षीय महिलेची सुटका केली. मोहम्मद शमीम अब्दुल करीम अन्सारी (वय ५१,रा.जाफरनगर ) , याला गुन्हे शाखेच्या पथकाने अटक केली.
तीन वर्षापूर्वी शमीम याने जगत मिलिनियम अपार्टमेंटमध्ये सलून सुरू केले. येथे तो हायप्रोफाइल देहव्यापार अड्डा चालवित होता. ग्राहकांना व्हॉट्सअॅपद्वारे तरुणींचे छायाचित्र पाठवित होता. ग्राहकाने तरुणीची निवड केल्यास त्या तरुणीला तो सलूनमध्ये बोलावून तिच्याकडून देहव्यापार करवून घेत होता. याबाबत गुन्हे शाखेचे उपायुक्त नीलेश भरणे यांना माहिती मिळाली. त्यांनी येथे छापा टाकण्याचे निर्देश दिले.

Nagpur: A 50-year-old woman died while her husband was seriously injured when their two-wheeler was hit by a train at an unmanned railway crossing in Kalamna area in Nagpur.
The deceased has been identified as Maya Dhiman who was riding pillion on the scooter rode by her husband Lekhram Dhiman (65), a police official said.
The incident occurred at around 9:45 PM at the Rajiv Nagar railway crossing, when the couple was returning to Hingna from Kamptee Road. The official said Lekhram apparently failed to notice the approaching goods train, as the flasher light of the locomotive was not working that night, which knocked down his scooter. Maya got trapped under the wheels of the train, while Lekhram fell aside, he said. The duo was rushed to Mayo government hospital by railway personnel, and later to a private hospital where the victim succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, a Kalamna police station officer said there was no gate at the level railway crossing. A case of accidental death has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, अमन याचा भाऊ राज्य राखीव पोलिस दलात आहे. अमन हा बँकेत काम करीत होता. काही महिन्यांपूर्वी बँकेने त्याला काढले. त्यानंतर तो नागपुरातील एका तस्कराच्या संपर्कात आला. बेरोजगार असल्याचे त्याने तस्कराला सांगितले. ग्राहकांना एमडीची खेप पोहोचविण्याची जबाबदारी तस्कराने अमनवर सोपविली. तेव्हापासून अमनही तस्करीत सक्रिय झाला. सदर भागात एमडीतस्कर खेप पोहोचविण्यासाठी येत असल्याची माहिती अमलीपदार्थविरोधी पथकाला मिळाली. पोलिस उपायुक्त नीलेश भरणे, सहायक पोलिस आयुक्त सुधीर नंदनवार यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली अमली पदार्थविरोधी पथकाचे पोलिस निरीक्षक राजू बहादुरे, सहायक निरीक्षक शशिकांत पाटील, अविनाश तायडे, अजयसिंग ठाकूर, संतोष ठाकूर विनोद मेश्राम, नितीन रांगणे, राहुल गुमगावकर, सचिन शेलोकर, अमोल पडधान, कुंदा जांभुळकर यांनी सिव्हिल भागात सापळा रचला. अमन हा तेथे येताच पोलिसांनी त्याला एमडीसह अटक केली. त्याला एमडीचा पुरवठा करणाऱ्या तस्कराचा पोलिस कसून शोध घेत आहेत.
