Maharashtra Govt to develop Textile Park in Koradi

Nagpur : Maharashtra Government will develop a Textile Park on 169 hectare land in Koradi. Mahagenco will provide its additional 169 hectare land for the Textile park. Traders and industrialists of the city will get space in the park.

This was decided in a meeting chaired by Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule in a meeting hall of Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) on Monday. MLA Krishna Khopde, NMC Standing Committee Chairman Virendra Kukreja, NMRDA Chairperson Sheetal Ugale, Textile Director Dr Madhavi Khode, Mahagenco Chief Engineers Abhay Harne, Anant Deotare, Executive Director Shirudkar, Mahagenco Director Sudhir Paliwal, Superintending Engineer Sunil Gujjalwar, General Manager Ajay Ramteke and others were present in the meeting.

Bawankule has directed officials of NMRDA to submit a proposal for the nod of State Government within 15 days. NMRDA will work as nodal agency for the Textile Park, he added. He also directed officials of Textile Directorate, MIDC and Mahagenco to work together over this proposal. The NMRDA will provide all the basic amenities to the park.
At the outset, Virendra Kukreja, Standing panel chief said, traders and industrialist of Gandhibag and others areas should get space in the textile park for their units. All the entrepreneurs will get space, amenities and all facilities at one place. This will help them to grow their business, he added.

Later, Sheetal Ugale, Chairperson of NMRDA gave information about the proposed Textile Park in Koradi. She also directed the officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the project.

Discussing over another proposal, Guardian Minister said, “Kumbhar community will get land for the manufacturing of brick kiln. Around 400 persons are manufacturing brick kiln over NMRDA and State Government’s land at various places. Now, they will get land at Mahagenco premises for manufacturing brick kiln from fly ash. The Government will handover 40 plots to them on January 27.”

Krishna Khopde, MLA said, “This will help them to manufacture brick kiln from fly ash. The names of beneficiaries will be decided by lottery system.” Bawankule said, “The land vacated from them will be used for the construction of houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY).”

In another proposal, Guardian Minister said, “State Government has provided special facilities for the devotees coming to Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple, Koradi. A special bus depot is being constructed for the benefit of devotees. Around Rs nine crore has been spent on the construction work. NMRDA and Transport Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will sign an agreement for the maintenance and cleanliness of the bus depot.”

Discussing development work of Tajabag, Guardian Minister stated that Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) has completed several developmental works proposed under Tajabag Development Project. The total cost of the project is Rs 132 crore. The work of Rs 60 crore has been completed while development work of Rs 42 crore will start as per the proposal.

एम. के. एच. संचेती पब्लीक स्कुल व ज्युनिअर कॉलेज येथे मॉक ड्रील/ईव्हॅकेशन ड्रिल संपन्न

नागपूर : दरवर्षी केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्रालय व महाराष्ट्र शासन अग्निशमन सेवा संचालनालयातर्फे प्राप्त झालेल्या निर्देशानुसार यांच्या मार्फत राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर शहरातील एका शाळेमध्ये मॉक ड्रिल घेण्याबाबतचे निर्देश प्राप्त होत असतात. त्यानुसार हिन्दुस्थान कॉलनी, वर्धा रोड येथील एम. के. एच. संचेती पब्लीक स्कुल व ज्युनिअर कॉलेज या शाळेची निवड करण्यात आली. त्यानुसार आज दि. 21.01.2019 रोजी ठिक 11:00 वाजता एम. के. एच. संचेती पब्लीक स्कुल व ज्युनिअर कॉलेज हिन्दुस्थान कॉलनी वर्धा रोड येथे नागपूर महानगरपालिका अग्निशमन व आणिबाणी सेवा विभाग व आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन कक्षातर्फे मुख्य अग्निशमन अधिकारी श्री. राजेन्द्र उचके यांचे मार्गदर्शनाखाली मॉक ड्रिल व ईव्हॅकेशन ड्रिलचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.

शाळेतील विद्यार्थाच्या वेगवेगळया टिम , कम्युनिकेशन टिम, फायर टिम मेडीकल टिम, बचाव टिम तयार करण्यात आल्या व त्यांना सविस्तर माहिती देवून त्यांच्याकडून कवायती करण्यात आल्या.

ड्रिल ठिक 11:00 वाजता सुरू झाली व 11:05 समाप्त झाली. या 5 मिनिटामध्ये 2000 विद्यार्थ्यांनी शाळा रिक्त केली. सर्व विद्यार्थी शाळेच्या प्रांगणात सुरक्षीत स्थळी आले. यावेळी शाळेचे व कॉलेजचे 150 शिक्षक व शिक्षिका व 25 शाळेतील स्टाफ उपस्थीत होते.

यावेळी शाळेच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना विविध प्रात्यक्षीक करून दाखविण्यात आले. ही ड्रिल संपन्न करण्याकरीता नरेन्द्रनगर स्थानकाचे स्थानक प्रमुख श्री. डि. एन. नाकोड, उपअग्निशमन अधिकारी श्री. सी. बी. तिवारी, आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन कक्षाचे कार्य. सहा. स्थानाधिकारी श्री. के. आर. कोठे, श्री. सुनिल एस. राऊत तसेच नरेन्द्रनगर स्थानकाचे श्री. शरद दांडेकर, अतुल निबंर्ते, श्री. सिताराम डहाळकर, श्री. शंभरकर, श्री. धोपटे उपस्थीत होते. तसेच संचेती पब्लिक स्कुल या शाळेच्या संचालक मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष श्री. मोहनराव गंधे, संचालक मंडळाचे विश्वस्त श्री. अमित येनुरकर, श्रीमती रूचा येनुरकर तसेच एम. के. एच. संचेती पब्लीक स्कुलच्या प्राचार्या श्रीमती उमा भालेराव व सिटी प्रिमीयर कॉलेजचे प्राचार्य श्री. ओवीस तालीब व श्रीमती शितल कठाळे उपस्थित होते.

कमला नेहरू महाविद्यालयात लोकशाही पंधरवाडा जनजागृती

नागपूर : २६ जानेवारी ते १० फेब्रुवारी दरम्यान लोकशाही पंधवाडा साजरा करण्यात येत आहे. त्या अंतर्गत नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने शहरातील विविध भागामध्ये जनजागृती अभियान राबविले जात आहे. या जनजागृती अभियानाद्वारे वयाची १८ वर्षे पूर्ण झालेल्या तरुण तरुणींना मतदार यादीत नाव नोंदवून लोकशाहीच्या बळकटीकरणास सहकार्य करण्याचे आवाहन करण्यात येत आहे. याच अभियानाद्वारे सोमवारी (ता. २१) मनपा उपायुक्त डॉ. रंजना लाडे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात शहरातील कमला नेहरू महाविद्यालयात जनजागृती करण्यात आली.

यावेळी महाविद्यालयाच्या परिसरात सेल्फी स्टँड उभारण्यात आला होता. याशिवाय ‘मी मतदार यादीत नाव नोंदविणार’ अशा शीर्षकाचे सेल्फी स्टिकही ठेवण्यात आले होते. विद्यार्थ्यांनी सेल्फी स्टँड व सेल्फी स्टिकसह फोटो काढून मतदार यादीत नाव नोंदविण्याचा संकल्प केला.

याप्रसंगी हनुमान नगर झोनचे कर आकारणी विभागाचे सहायक अधीक्षक विकास रायबोले, कमला नेहरू महाविद्यालयाच्या अध्यक्षा डॉ. सुहासिनी वंजारी, प्राचार्य डॉ. अशोक कांबळे, उपप्राचार्य डॉ. प्रदीप दहीकर, निर्भय बेटी सुरक्षा अभियानचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष ज्ञानेश्वर गुरव, कार्याध्यक्ष संजय कटकमवार, कमलदीप सिंग, बबलू भाई, फिरोज पठाण, महाविद्यालयाच्या प्राध्यापक डॉ. माधवी खंडाईत, प्रा. ललीता सोरते, प्रा. अर्चना पालांदुरकर, डॉ. सुचेता पारकर, डॉ. मृणाल वलीवकर, डॉ. ममता वाघ, वर्षा अबोजवार, शोभना शर्मा, अरविंद रंगारी आदी उपस्थित होते.

Spurious Betel nuts worth Rs. 45L seized

Nagpur

Nagpur : Police have seized betel nuts worth `Rs. 45 lakh on Nagpur-Jabalpur highway. The total amount of seized items is around Rs. 45 lakh. Truck driver and cleaner were also arrested by the cops.

Sources said, the truck was going to Karnataka from Nagpur. Investigations revealed that the betel nuts from Nagpur are in huge demand in other states in particular Karnataka for the manufacture of gutkha.

Police said, truck carrying 29 tonnes of spurious betel nuts left the godown of a transport company at Manjunath Road on Sunday night. The betel nuts were loaded at Guru Traders in Mahalgaon Kapsi.

Deputy commissioner Nitesh Bharne received a tip off following which he formed a team. Surveillance was then increased on Jabalpur-Nagpur highway. In the meantime, cops intercepted a truck and during examination recovered betel nuts from it.

Driver Sharanappa Urayya Koli, 26 and cleaner Siddhu Revappa Koli, 21, both residents of Karnataka were arrested.

It is pertinent to note here that smuggling of betel nuts from Nagpur to other states is on rinse after the imposition of ban on sale and manufacture of gutkha by the State government.

Frame mobile tower policy, NMC told

Nagpur : District guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Monday asked power companies to disconnect supplies of mobile phone towers that are creating problems for residents and also asked the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to frame a policy in this regard. He issued this direction at his Janta Darbar organized at Dhantoli zone office.

For the public interaction meeting, the zone received as many 60 complaints pertaining to various civic issues. Most of them were against illegal mobile towers. Taking cognisance, the minister said, “Until the NMC frames a policy, power supplies to these towers should be disconnected. To To restore supply, power companies should seek a no-objection certificate from assistant municipal commissioner concerned.”

Mayor Nanda Jichkar, standing committee chairman Virendra Kukreja, zone chairperson Vishakha Bante, additional municipal commissioner Ravindra Thakre and others were present.

Bawankule also expressed concern over lack of cleanliness around Gandhisagar and gave directions for clearing encroachments around the water body. To a query, assistant municipal commissioner of the zone Smita Kale informed the minister about pending beautification project of the lake with the state government.

Residents complained about lack of cleanliness in Babulkheda, Parvati Nagar, Jaibhim Chowk and other areas in the zone. Bawankule asked the health department (sanitation) to address the issue immediately.

In territorial fight, tiger eats tigress at Kanha Tiger Reserve : Rare Case of Cannibalism

In a rare case of cannibalism, a tiger is suspected to have killed and eaten a tigress in the famous Kanha Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh, a forest official said on Monday.

Some ground duty officials found a feline’s skull and four limbs, one of which was partially eaten, at Mundi-Dadar in the reserve’s core area in Mandla district during patrolling on Saturday, Kanha Tiger Reserve’s field director K. Krishnamurthy said.

“A tiger was noticed in the area, suggesting that it may have killed the big cat, which appears to be female. Circumstantial evidence suggests that the tiger, during a territorial fight, dragged the tigress for about 700 metres,” he said.Asked about the possibility of the tiger seen around the carcass having eaten it, Krishnamurthy said cannibalism was “not uncommon” among tigers.

He, however, said scavengers also might have eaten the feline after it was killed. The official ruled out the possibility of poaching of the striped animal in the reserve’s core area. In December 2006, an attempt was made to poach a tiger in Kanha, but it was foiled by tourists.

Madhya Pradesh has six major reserves for the national animal and is often called as the ‘tiger state’. Prominent among them are Bandhavgarh, Pench and Kanha tiger reserves.

Google Doodle: Birth of Lev Landau, Nobel Prize-winning Soviet physicist

On Tuesday, Google celebrated the 111th birth anniversary of Soviet physicist Lev Landau with a doodle. Landau was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1962 for his research into liquid helium’s behaviour at extremely low temperatures.

Born in Baku in present-day Azerbaijan on January 22, 1908, the precocious Landau started college well before his peers. At 19, he graduated from the Physical Department of Leningrad University, and started his career at the Leningrad Physico-Technical Institute. He completed his PhD at 21, earned a Rockefeller Foundation Fellow, which allowed him to work abroad, in Germany, Switzerland, England and, Copenhagen where he worked under Niels Bohr, who was known for his work in quantum theory.

Landau also worked as a professor of theoretical physics in the Kharkov and Moscow State Universities. Landau’s research covers all branches of theoretical physics, ranging from fluid mechanics to quantum field theory. According to the Nobel Prize website, following P.L. Kapitsa’s discovery in 1938 of the “superfluidity of liquid helium, Landau began extensive research which led him to the construction of the complete theory of the ‘quantum liquids’ at very low temperatures.”

Several concepts are attributed to Landau, including Landau Distribution, Landau Gauge, Landau Pole. In 1962, the same year of his Nobel Prize, he and E.M. Lifshitz jointly received the Lenin Science Prize for their Course of Theoretical Physics.

In Moscow, the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics stands as a symbol of his legacy.

‘FICCI helping Govt for Public Procurement Policy’

FICCI in partnership with the Ministry of MSME & Vidarbha Industries Association organised a ‘Buyer-Seller’ meet at VIA to connect micro and small enterprises (MSEs) owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs with PSUs to explore potential collaboration.

The recent amendment in the Public Procurement Policy has made it mandatory for all Central ministries and departments including CPSUs to ensure 25 per cent of their overall annual procurement from MSEs including sub targets for procurement from the MSEs owned by women and SC/ST entrepreneurs.

HPCL, MOIL, NTPC, MAHAGENCO, Western Coal Fields, ECGC, Nagpur Smart City, CIPET, MSME-DI, FDA Maharashtra, MECL were some of the top public sector enterprises and state departments, which participated in the ‘Buyer Seller’ meet and interacted with over 60 SC/ST entrepreneurs over one- to-one business meetings to assess procurement viability.
Senior representatives of NSIC and TRIFED as well as members of MCED, BEACI and FICCI’s MoU partner, Centre for the Study of Caste and Capitalism (CSCC), also participated in this endeavour.

Earlier, during the inaugural session, A P Dharmadhikari, Joint Director of Industries, shared information on various State Government schemes, including entrepreneurship development programme (EDP), reserved items for SC/ST, Samadhan portal to resolve payment issues, to handhold the entrepreneurs representing SC/ST community. R M Tekam from NSIC shared the benefits of single point registration and waiver available on registration fee for SC/ST entrepreneurs.

On the occasion, Atul Pande, President of Vidarbha Industries Association appreciated the efforts of Ministry of MSME and FICCI in bringing together the PSUs and SC/ST entrepreneurs for the ‘Buyer Seller’ meet as part of 100 days outreach programme for MSMEs by Government of India. VIAs Joint Action Committee, which includes representatives of local associations can help in identifying the MSMEs to source products and services needed by PSUs.

“FICCI has been working closely with the Ministry of MSME towards implementation of Public Procurement Policy and reaching out to both private and public sector stakeholders. We expect that the Buyer Seller meet will help the entrepreneurs.”

बहिणीसोबत आक्षेपार्ह अवस्थेत सापडलेल्या प्रियकराचे चिडलेल्या भावाने केली निर्घृण हत्या, मृतदेह फेकला नाल्यात

नागपूर : ‍बहिणीला तिच्या प्रियकरासोबत आक्षेपार्ह अवस्थेत पाहिल्याने भावाने तरुणाची निर्घृण हत्या केल्याची घटना समोर आली आहे. एवढेच नाही बहिणीच्या प्रियकराचा मृतदेह नाल्यात फेकला. ही घटना साकोली (जि.भंडारा) तालुक्यातील किही-एकोळी घडली आहे. आरोपीने या कामात आई-वडिलांची मदत घेतली. पोलिसांनी या प्रकरणी तीन जणांना अटक केली आहे.

अनिकेत बडोले (वय 22 वर्ष) असे मृत मुलाचे नाव आहे. अनिकेतचे गावातील एका मुलीशी प्रेमसंबंध होते. 18 जानेवारी रोजी अनिकेत मुलीसह तिच्याच घरी आक्षेपार्ह अवस्थेत सापडला होता. मुलीचा भाऊ आणि वडिलांनी त्याला बेदम मारहाण केली. टी-शर्टने गळा आवळून त्याची हत्या केली. नंतर त्याचा मृतदेह गावाशेजारी असलेल्या नाल्यात फेकून दिला.

अनिकेत बेपत्ता झाल्याने त्याचा भाऊ तुषार बडोले यांनी साकोलीच्या पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये तक्रार नोंदवली. पोलिसांना नाल्यात अनिकेतचा मृतदेह आढळला. मुलीचा भाऊ, आई आणि वडिलांनी अनिकेतची हत्या केल्याचे पोलिस तपासात समोर आले.

पोलिसांनी मुलीचे वडील रामेश्वर वालदे, आई ममता वालदे, भाऊ मेघराज वालदे यांना अटक केली असून त्यांच्याविरुद्ध हत्येचा गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे.

नागपूर : मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस व केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या पुढाकाराने शहरात सर्वत्र विकास कामे सुरू आहेत. मात्र यासोबतच क्रीडा आणि सांस्कृतिक क्षेत्रामध्येही शहर भरारी घेत आहे. केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी खासदार सांस्कृतिक महोत्सवानंतर खासदार क्रीडा महोत्सवाची संकल्पना मांडली व संपूर्ण शहरात क्रीडा वातावरण निर्मिती केली. यामध्ये भर घालत आयोजित करण्यात आलेली ‘सुराज्य दौड’ ही खेळाडूंमध्ये चैतन्य निर्माण करणारी आहे, असे प्रतिपादन राज्याचे ऊर्जा व जिल्ह्याचे पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी केले.

१४, १६ व खुला अशा तीन गटामध्ये ही स्पर्धा घेण्यात आली. २१ किमीच्या महिलांच्या खुल्या गटात शहरातील ज्योती चव्‍हाणने एक तास २७ मिनिट २२ सेकंद अशी वेळ नोंदवून बाजी मारली. मुंबई पोलिस येथे कार्यरत वर्षा भवारी (एक तास २८ मि.४० से.) यांनी दुसरे तर नवमहाराष्ट्र क्लबच्या शितल बारई (एक तास २९ मि. ०३ से.) ने तिसरे स्थान पटकाविले. पुरूषांच्या खुल्या गटातून मध्य रेल्वे नागपूरचा नागराज खुरसुणे एक तास आठ मिनिट ४३ सेकंदाची वेळ नोंदवून अव्वल ठरला. तर निखील शेंडे (एक तास ११ मि. ५५ से.) व नवमहाराष्ट्र क्लबचा शुभम मेश्राम (एक तास १२ मि. दोन से.) दुस-या व तिस-या स्थानावर राहिला.

१८ वर्षाखालील मुलींच्या गटात ५.७ किमीच्या शर्यतीत जय ॲथलेटिक्स स्पोर्ट्सची प्रियंका हलमारे (२३ मि. २१. से.) सह प्रथम, नवमहाराष्ट्र क्रीडा मंडळाची प्रणाली बुराडे (२४मि.९.से.)ने दुसरे तर नेहरू विद्यालय हिंगणा येथील विधी परिहार (२४मि.२६.से.)ने तिसरे स्थान पटकाविले. मुलांच्या गटात ट्रॅक स्टार क्लबचा शादाब पठाण (१८मि.५४से.) पहिल्या, एकलव्य क्लब काटोलचा ‌ऋषभ तिवसकर (१९मि.१०.से.) दुस-या व जय ॲथलेटिक्सचा रोहित झा (१९मि.२५.से.) तिस-या स्थानावर राहिला.

IIM-Nagpur student bags Rs 2.5 lakh monthly stipend

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur completed its summer placements process for the fourth batch of its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management recently. All the 110 students got placed and the highest stipend offered this year is Rs 2.50 lakh. The average stipend was Rs 54,751.

Over 40 recruiters made offers to the students but many companies, informed IIM-Nagpur placement department, had to return without making offers as all the students were placed beforehand.

During the internship-cum-placement session, FMCG was the most sought-after sector followed by Fintech and e-commerce with more than 40 per cent of the batch opting for the summer internship in these industries. Over 17 per cent of the batch chose for profiles in the IT and government sector.

IIM-Nagpur has introduced entrepreneurship specialisation in their postgraduate programme and as a part of this initiative, the institute is supporting one of the students to work with a start-up in lieu of a summer internship.

‘ट्रान्सफर स्टेशन’साठी स्मार्ट सिटी देणार ४० कोटी

नागपुर : नागपुरातील घराघरातील कचरा संकलित केल्यानंतर ट्रान्सफर स्टेशनच्या माध्यमातून विलग करण्यासाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिका दहाही झोनमध्ये ट्रान्सफर स्टेशन निर्माण करीत आहे. यापैकी पाच झोनमधील जागा निर्धारीत झाल्या असून या पाच ट्रान्सफर स्टेशनसाठी ४० कोटी रुपये स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्प राबविणारी नागपूर स्मार्ट ॲण्ड सस्टेनेबल सिटी डेव्हलपमेंट कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड कंपनी देणार आहे. या प्रस्तावाला शनिवारी (ता. १९) संचालक मंडळाच्या बैठकीत मंजुरी देण्यात आली.

राज्याचे अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव प्रवीण परदेसी यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली मनपा मुख्यालयातील आयुक्त कक्षात झालेल्या बैठकीला महापौर नंदा जिचकार, आमदार कृष्णा खोपडे, स्थायी समितीचे सभापती वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा, सत्तापक्ष नेते संदीप जोशी, विरोधी पक्ष नेते तानाजी वनवे, मनपा आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर, नासुप्रच्या सभापती शीतल उगले, एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे संचालक मोहम्मद जमाल, मंगला गेवरे, एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे, पोलिस आयुक्त डॉ. भूषणकुमार उपाध्याय, वाहतूक पोलिस विभागाचे उपायुक्त राजतिलक, एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे तांत्रिक सल्लागार विजय बनगीरवार, उपमहाव्यवस्थापक राजेश दुफारे उपस्थित होते.

इंदोरच्या धर्तीवर नागपुरात कचरा ट्रान्सफर स्टेशन साकारले जात आहे. प्रत्येक झोनमध्ये एक असे एकून दहा ट्रान्सफर स्टेशन तयार होणार आहे. यासाठी प्रत्येक झोनमध्ये जागेचा शोध सुरू असून पाच जागा निश्चित झाल्या आहेत. एका ट्रान्सफर स्टेशनला सुमारे आठ कोटींचा खर्च अपेक्षित असून सध्या पाच स्टेशनसाठी ४० कोटी रुपयांच्या खर्चाला मंजुरी देण्यात आली. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे ‘बायो डायव्हर्सिटी’वर कॉफी टेबल बुक काढण्यात येणार असून या खर्चालाही एनएसएससीडीसीएलच्या बैठकीत मंजुरी देण्यात आली. सदर बैठकीत स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पाशी संबंधित विविध विषय मंजुरीसाठी ठेवण्यात आले होते. प्रत्येक विषयाचा आढावा प्रधान सचिव प्रवीण परदेसी यांनी घेतला.

स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पांतर्गत होत असलेल्या क्षेत्राधिष्ठीत विकास प्रकल्पाच्या प्रगतीची माहिती यावेळी मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे यांनी दिली. क्षेत्राधिष्ठीत प्रकल्पांतर्गत असलेल्या चार मौजांच्या १७३० एकर परिसरात करावयाच्या विकासाचा आराखडा तयार आहेत. या परिसरात ५२ किलोमीटरचे रस्ते तयार होणार आहेत. प्रकल्पात ज्यांची घरे जातील त्यांच्या पुनर्वसनासाठी सुमारे एक हजार सदनिकांचे बांधकामही कंपनीद्वारे करण्यात येणार आहे. या कामाच्या निविदांच्या आधारे कार्यादेश झाल्यानंतर भूमिपूजन लवकरच होणार असल्याची माहिती यावेळी संचालकांना देण्यात आली. याच परिसरात मार्केट तयार होत असून प्रकल्पामध्ये ज्यांची प्रतिष्ठाने जातील त्यांना प्राधान्याने तेथे दुकाने देण्यात येतील, असेही डॉ. सोनवणे यांनी सांगितले.

आर्थिक स्त्रोत निर्माण करा : प्रवीण परदेसी
नागपुरात सुरू असलेल्या स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पाचे कार्य केंद्र, राज्य सरकारकडून मिळणाऱ्या अनुदानावर सुरू आहे. यापुढे आता स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्प राबविणाऱ्या एनएसएससीडीसीएल कंपनीने स्वत:चे आर्थिक स्त्रोत निर्माण करावे, अशी सूचना राज्याचे अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव प्रवीण परदेसी यांनी यावेळी केली.

पुढील एक ते दोन वर्षात एनएसएससीडीसीएल कंपनी स्वत:चा ३० ते ४० कोटी रुपयांचा निधी प्रति वर्ष निर्माण करू शकेल, असे आर्थिक स्त्रोत निर्माण करण्यास त्यांनी सांगितले.

World Orange Festival to end today

Nagpur : The city on Sunday saw many events as a part of the ongoing World Orange Festival which seem to have created lasting impressions in the minds of all those participated in it.

It also appear to remain long in the memories of many passers-by who got the opportunity to see the colours full and exciting shows, especially the eye-catchy and glittering carnival parade.

The mega festival being organised by Lokmat simultaneously at various location in the city pulled people from all sections of the society. There was one or the other event for farmers, businessmen, entrepreneurs, students, foodies, art and music lovers and others. Kids, youths and housewives, too, found events to their liking. There were performances by celebrities, stage shows, cultural events, cookery shows, awareness programmes and many other entertaining events. The carnival parade held between the Laxmi Nagar Square and Law College Square in West Nagpur was on of the major crowd pulling events held on Sunday.

It was taken out between 4 pm and 7 pm where school and college students participated in large number. Dressed in colourful attire, they participated in the dance and fancy dress competitions. Besides, international artistes showcased their musical talent on a mobile stage. The participants regaled the spectators with a host of impressive performances. The Kite Festival was another event that attracted youths. Experts arrived here from Ahmedabad flew kites of larger-than-normal sizes that are not very common in Nagpur. The attractive kites grabbed attention of young and old alike.

Similarly, renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor and other famous chefs conducted workshops on orange recipes. It was a big hit among ladies. Young girls and boys were also seen taking active part in the cookery shows and took lessons on making delicacies from the well-known experts. On the other hand, Sufi singer Kutle Khan gave his performance that thrilled the music lovers.

A Marathi drama ‘Amche Hiche Prakaran’ was also staged at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Orange Street programme was held at Dhanwate National College ground from 7 pm to 10 pm. Lectures and seminars on various topics were also held as a part of the mega event. Farmers, educationalists and others took part in the events.

The World Orange Festival is being organised by Lokmat and it will continue till Monday. The four-day festival, inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, is hosting international and Indian agricultural experts, scientists and renowned companies. Agriculture experts from Brazil, America, Turkey, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan, and from India including scientists from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and other states are conducting seminars and workshops to create awareness among orange growers on advanced practices in orange varieties, plantation, production, exports and other aspects.

Closing ceremony of the four-day and award distribution function will be on Monday at Reshimbagh Ground.

Man murdered in Jaripatka, two detained

Nagpur Crime News: Man kills neighbour in Kalamna

Nagpur : A man was found murdered at MAHADA Quarters under the jurisdiction of Jaripatka police station on Monday morning. The victim has been identified as Shabir Lal Hashmi (52). The police cracked the murder within hours and detained two persons in this connection.

According to information, the victim Shabir, a resident of MAHADA Quarters, had illicit relation with a woman, who works in a restaurant. On Sunday night, Shabir went to the restaurant and thrashed the woman accusing her of having physical relations with someone else too.

The women after finishing her work returned home where her son Sameer Sheikh enquired about the injury marks on her body. The woman then narrated the entire incident to him. Both Sameer and the woman then reached Shabir’s house, who was sleeping in his house after consuming liquor. The duo reportedly stabbed Shabir to death. On Monday morning, the people seeing Shabir lying in the pool of blood informed Jariptka police. The police reached the spot and during preliminary enquiry learnt about Shabir relations with the woman. The police then called the woman to the police station. The woman and her son both reached the police station and during police questioning confessed to their crime.

The police have registered an offence under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigations are on.

An iconic New Zealand tourism business is celebrating 60 years of adventure thrills in Queenstown. Jet boats were the latest thing in waterborne travel when Kawarau Jet Services launched what has become an enduring New Zealand tourism experience 60 years ago in Queenstown.

It was 1958 and the Hamilton ‘jet’ boat was a revolutionary new style of boating when the first paying customers hopped aboard the Melhop family boat to experience a jet-powered crossing of the Kawarau Falls dam. At five shillings per ride, holiday makers were soon lining up for the thrill and Queenstown’s first adventure activity was launched, turning Kawarau Jet Services (now known as KJet) into a name synonymous with pioneering adventure tourism.

Those first trips were highly successful fund raisers for a Queenstown-based Christian camping trust which went on to invest in the operation. Operating originally from the Frankton end of Lake Wakatipu, the company moved operations in 1960 to Queenstown’s Main Town Pier, from where it still operates today.

यावेळी पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी रस्त्याचे बांधकाम, अतिक्रमण, पाणी पुरवठा, पार्किंग, कचरा घर यासह नागरिकांच्या विविध तक्रारींवर विस्तृत चर्चा करून त्या सोडविण्यासाठी संबंधित विभागाच्या अडचणी दूर करून त्वरित कार्यवाही करण्याचे निर्देश दिले.

गांधीबाग झोनमधील मासोळी व मटन मार्केट स्थानांतरणासंदर्भात स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पांतर्गंत कळमना येथे जागा देण्यात आली असून या प्रस्तावावर त्वरीत कार्यवाही करण्याचे निर्देश यावेळी पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी दिले. लकडगंज येथील मनपा जागेमधील अतिक्रमणामुळे नागरिकांना नाहक त्रास सहन करावा लागत आहे. या ठिकाणी असामाजिक तत्वांचा वावर असल्याने सुरक्षेचाही प्रश्न निर्माण होतो. मनपा प्रशासनाने पोलिस बंदोबस्तात ७ दिवसात पूर्ण अतिक्रण काढून संबंधित जागेवर पुन्हा अतिक्रमण होउ नये यासाठी योग्य कार्यवाही करण्याचेही पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी निर्देशित केले.

पाणी पुरवठा सुरक्षित ठेवण्यासंदर्भातील तक्रारीवर पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी प्रशासनाने येत्या काळात पाण्याची टंचाई लक्षात घेता प्रशासनाने गांभिर्याने दखल घेण्याचे निर्देश दिले. शहरातील विहिरींची योग्य स्वच्छता करून प्रत्येक विहिरीचे पाच मिटर खोलीकरण करणे तसेच विहिर व बोअरवेलवर पम्प बसवून लघुनळ योजना राबवून नागरिकांसाठी पाण्याची व्यवस्था करणे. पाणी हे जीवन असून पाण्याला प्रथम प्राधान्य देत याबाबत कार्य करण्याचेही त्यांनी निर्देशित केले.

संत्रा मार्केट येथील कचरा घर हटवून रामझुल्याखालील रेल्वेच्या जागेमध्ये कचरा ट्रान्सफर स्टेशन बनविण्याबाबत रेल्वेला पत्र देउन परवानगी घेण्याचेही निर्देश त्यांनी यावेळी दिले. याशिवाय गर्दीच्या ठिकाणचे रस्ते रूंदीकरण, पार्किंगसाठी पी१ व पी२, रेल्वे क्रॉसिंगवर पादचारी पूल, अतिक्रमण, असामाजिक तत्व, वक्त बोर्ड, डीसीआर नियम बदलणे, शहरातील सीसीटीव्ही, ऐवजदारांना स्थायी नोकरी अशा विविध तक्रारींसंदर्भातही यावेळी पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी चर्चा केली व पुढील बैठकीमध्ये या विषयांवर योग्य कार्यवाही करण्याचेही त्यांनी निर्देशित केले.

नागपुर : केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने रविवार को नागपुर मे कांग्रेस पर हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि कांग्रेस ने बाबा साहेब आंबेडकर को कभी सम्मान नहीं दिया। बाबा साहेब के नाम पर केवल वोट लेने का काम किया है। वे शहर मे भाजपा के अनुसूचित जाति मोर्चा की ओर से आयोजित कार्यक्रम भीम विजय संकल्प रैली में बोल रहे थे।अनुसूचित जाति को जोड़ने के उद्देश्य से भाजपा अनुसूचित मोर्चे का राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन करा रही थी। इस दो दिवसीय कार्यक्रम के दूसरे व अंतिम दिन अधिवेशन के बाद शहर के के पी ग्राउंड पर एक बड़ी रैली का आयोजन किया गया।

इसी दौरान नागपुर में ‘भीम विजय संकल्प‘ रैली में गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कांग्रेस पार्टी पर हमला करते हुए कहा कि कांग्रेसियों ने हमेशा बाबा साहेब के नाम पर आप लोगों से केवल वोट मांगा हैं, लेकिन उनके लिए कुछ नहीं किया, जबकि हमारी सरकार ने उन्हें सम्मान दिया हैं।

आगे उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार द्वारा अनुसूचित परिवारों को दिये गए शौचालय उनके लिए सम्मान का मुद्दा बन गया है, समाज में बराबरी का मुद्दा बन गया है और पूरा समाज इस बात को समझ भी रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि आरक्षण की रक्षा करने के पार्टी ने विशेष प्रयास किया। भाजपा ने ही बाबा साहेब को भारत रत्न का सम्मान भी दिलाया था। उसके पहले इसके बारे में सिर्फ चर्चा ही की जाती रही थी।

Nagpur: In a landmark development, Dr Mukesh Laddha renowned Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy surgeon from Nagpur performed 12 Total Knee Replacement Surgeries at RNH Hospital, Dhantoli, Nagpur, using Robotic system, a first of its kind in Central India.

Dr. Mukesh Laddha, who is counted amongst top notch super specialists for Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine surgeries in the country, said that “We are extremely pleased and proud to announce that RNH hospital becomes the first in Nagpur and entire central India to have performed Robotic assisted total knee replacement surgeries, which is highly advanced and latest technology developed in the U.S.A. It’s also a moment of pride for us that H’ble Minister of road transport and highways Shri Nitin Gadkariji, himself formally inaugurated the robotic system last evening at our hospital”

The robotic system along with surgeon skills helps in perfect customized fit of knee implants for each patient as per their own anatomy, which gives them normal feeling artificial knees. It’s an amalgamation of Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Surgeons Mind to achieve perfect results after knee replacement. During surgery it helps in saving bone, reduces blood loss, and preserves the soft soft tissues in the knee joint, which helps in less postoperative pain and very fast recovery with minimum physiotherapy and hence less hospital stay. The Robotics-assisted system reduces the possibilities of human error and ensures perfect alignment, leading to the longevity of the joint implant.

Dr. Laddha added that it was a delight to see that all 12 patients walking painfree without any support and were back tot hier home on on 4 th day after both knee replacement surgeries.

Dr Laddha has already performed 12 successful Robotics-assisted total knee replacement surgeries, of them one patient is 75 years old from Washim, Mr. Somani and another 65 year old Mrs. Ragtate from Nagpur, both with severe knee pain since 7/8 years. These surgeries were done using the NAVIO PFS Robotics surgical system, the latest advanced generation Robotic intervention in joint replacement (developed in USA) and to the delight of their families, enabled these patients to have painless walk without any support within 4 days of the surgery itself.

नागपूर : संत्र्यांचे विविध खाद्यपदार्थ तयार करून त्याद्वारे संत्र्यांची मागणी वाढविण्याचा प्रयत्न करणार असल्याचे वक्तव्य मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी केले. विदर्भातील संत्रा ग्लोबल करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणार असल्याचेही ते म्हणाले. नागपूर संत्र्याला मान्यता मिळवून देण्यात वर्ल्ड ऑरेंज फेस्टिव्हलचे मोठे योगदान असल्याचेही मुख्यमंत्री म्हणाले.

दुसऱ्या ऑरेंज फेस्टीव्हलचे नागपूरमध्ये आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. त्यावेळी मुख्यमंत्री बोलत होते. हवामान खात्यात आता तंत्रज्ञान आणून शेतकऱ्यांना त्या माध्यमातून अंदाज देणार आहे. १० हजार गावांमध्ये अॅग्रो बिझनेससाठी नवी योजना राज्य सरकार आणणार आहे. साडेतीन हजार कोटी रुपये यासाठी तरतूद करण्यात आली असल्याचेही मुख्यमंत्री म्हणाले. तसेच विदर्भातील संत्रा ग्लोबल करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणार असल्याचेही फडणवीस म्हणाले.

Total Dhamaal: Anil Kapoor shares new poster

New Delhi: The trailer of highly anticipated multi starrer film ‘Total Dhamaal‘ will be out on Monday.

Anil Kapoor, who is a part of the star cast, announced the news by sharing a poster of the film on Twitter. Alongside the poster, Anil warned viewers to not be deceived by the looks of the actors.

“Inke chehre hai masoom, lekin sab ek se badhkar ek hai. Total Dhamaal trailer out in 2 days,” he wrote.

The film, which is the third sequel to the 2007 flick ‘Dhamaal’, features Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever.

One of the most popular silver screen pairs of the 90s, Madhuri and Anil have reunited after 19 years for the upcoming Indra Kumar’s adventure comedy. The two were last seen sharing the screen space in the 2000 Thriller/Drama ‘Pukar.’

According to media reports, the actors will be seen shaking their legs to ‘Paisa Yeh Paisa’ from Subhash Ghai’s ‘Karz’ in the film.

CM inaugurates Bhavani MultiSpeciality Hospital and Research Institute at Nagpur

Nagpur : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister of Road, Transport, Highways, Shipping Nitin Gadkari dedicated a state-of-the-art Bhavani Hospital and Research Institute in East Nagpur.

Both leaders praised Shree Bhavani Mata Seva Samiti for its noble gesture. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde, office-bearers of Shree Bhavani Mata Seva Samiti were present.

Ayushyaman Bharat and Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana will help more than 90 per cent poor and needy from availing quality health care service, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated. Charitable trusts should also come forward in creating healthcare infrastructure, he suggested.

Fadnavis applauded Pandurang Mehar, trustee of the Samiti for his painstaking work in completing the hospital in record time and also credited Gadkari for sowing the idea of creating quality hospitals offering services at affordable rates. He also promised to pursue demanded by East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde to start CBSE school in East Nagpur. Besides, the smart city is being developed in this part, he stated while cautioning the youngsters not to fall prey to rumours spread by vested interests.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari praised Pandurang Mehar and Shree Bhavani Mata seva Samiti for their wonderful efforts. Major trusts are running schools, colleges, hospitals and hence Samiti should identify land for starting a medical college in future, he advised. He promised help for cathlab and MRI. Gadkari also traced the massive developmental works initiated in East Nagpur and predicted positive change in the life of every Nagpurian in coming days.

नागपूर : लग्नाचे आमिष दाखवून एका तरुणीवर अत्याचार करण्यात आला. ही घटना सक्कदरा पोलीस ठाण्यांतर्गत मोठा ताजबाग परिसरात उघडकीस आली. याप्रकरणी गुन्हा दाखल करून आरोपीला अटक करण्यात आली. सलमान खान सरदार खान (२२) रा. अवलियानगर, मोठा ताजबाग असे आरोपीचे नाव आहे.

पीडित २३ वर्षीय मुलगी आणि आरोपी हे एकाच महाविद्यालयात शिकत होते. त्यावेळी दोघांची ओळख झाली. त्यानंतर त्यांच्यात प्रेमसंबंध निर्माण झाले व आरोपीने तिला लग्नाचे आमिष दाखवून तिच्यावर अत्याचार केला.

त्यानंतर वेळोवेळी तिच्यावर अत्याचार केला. आता तिच्याशी विवाह करण्यास त्याने नकार दिला आहे. याप्रकरणी तिने पोलिसांत तक्रार केली. पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक मनीष हिवरकर यांनी गुन्हा दाखल करून आरोपीस अटक केली.

CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurates World Orange Festival at Nagpur

Nagpur : Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that Maharashtra has come up with a plan of promoting agri-businesses. It will have a Rs3,500 crore project covering 10,000 villages where the available technology and infrastructure will be used to create export market for fruits, including oranges. This will be done with support from the World Bank.

Showering projects for the region at the inauguration of the World Orange festival, the CM said that the concept of orange estates from Punjab will be replicated in Vidarbha covering Nagpur, Amravati and Wardha districts so that the farmers get quality planting material here. It will also create all logistics of grading, packaging, marketing etc.

Fadnavis said that thanks to the Prime Minister, big companies like Coca Cola and Pepsi will be using 10% orange pulp in their drinks. Adding that the huge project of Ramdev Baba’s orange processing plant was nearing completion and hence region should increase its productivity.

Fadnavis also announced a new decision of digitizing the entire ‘Crop Cycle Management’ of orange from sowing to marketing of the fruit. The imaging from the Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre will be used along with artificial intelligence to generate precise information for the framers who will be fed with this scientific advisory through SMS.

Later speaking on the occasion, Union minister Nitin Gadkari stressed on the need for developing an orange variety which has all the qualities of a table fruit and yet have enough sweetness for processing. He said that since there were no facilities for grading, the export market could not be captured to the desired extent.

Gadkari suggested that farmers here should come together and form a Vidarbha Santra Utpadak Sangh for expediting the export market. He said innovative researchers or companies were not ready to come to India and called upon the Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth and the Central Citrus Research Institute to understand the successful practices in world and imitate them locally. He also stressed on need for using soil testing and plant pathology sciences for better orchards in the region.

कुख्यात गुन्हेगार किशोर सोलंकीला अटक

नागपूर : गेल्या चार महिन्यांपासून पोलिसांना हवा असलेला कुख्यात गुन्हेगार किशोर सोलंकी याला शांतीनगर पोलिसांनी शुक्रवारी सापळा रचून जुना कामठी रोड येथून ताब्यात घेतले. किशोर हा कामठी रोडवरील शनी मंदिराजवळच्या देशी दारू भट्टीजवळ असल्याची टिप शांतीनगर पोलिसांना मिळाली होती. त्याआधारे पोलिसांनी सापळा रचला.

पोलिसांनी त्याला ताब्यात घेतल्यानंतर विचारपूस केली असता त्याने शांतीनगर आणि तहसील पोलिस ठाणे परिसरात केलेल्या गुन्ह्यांची कबुली दिली. कुख्यात किशोर हा गेल्या चार महिन्यांपासून पोलिसांना हवा होता. पोलिस उपायुक्त राहुल माकणीकर, सहाय्यक पोलिस आयुक्त वालचंद मुंडे, वरिष्ठ पोलिस उपनिरीक्षक मुख्तार शेख यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली सहाय्यक पोलिस उपनिरीक्षक सुधीर बघेल, हवालदार अब्दुल वकील यांच्या पथकाने ही कारवाई केली.

आरक्षित कोच से महिलाएं कर पाएंगी सुरक्षित यात्रा

नागपुर : महापौर नंदा जिचकार ने लोगों से शहर में जल्द शुरू हो रही मेट्रो सेवा का ज्यादा से ज्यादा उपयोग करने की अपील करते हुए कहा कि इससे प्रदूषण और सड़कों पर वाहनों के बोझ को कम करने में मदद मिलेगी।

उन्होंने कहा कि मेट्रो के तीन कोच में से एक के महिलाओें के लिए आरक्षित होने के कारण बड़ी संख्या में महिलाएं सुरक्षित व भयमुक्त यात्रा कर पाएंगी। महापौर ने महामेट्रो की ओर से शुरू की गई धावणार माझी मेट्रो विश वॉल कैंपेन पर भी हस्ताक्षर किए। मेट्रो की ओर से उन्हें स्मृति चिन्ह प्रदान किया गया।
