नागपूर – नागपूर महानगरपालिका आणि अँम्युचर बॉडी बिल्डर्स असोसिएशन यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने ‘महापौर चषक’ २०१९ शरीर सौष्ठव स्पर्धेचे उदघाटन उपमहापौर मनीषा कोठे यांच्या हस्ते कच्छी विसा मैदानात झाले.
यावेळी स्थायी समिती सभापती प्रदीप पोहाणे, परिवहन समिती सभापती तथा संयोजक नरेन्द्र (बाल्या बोरकर), लकडगंज झोन सभापती राजकुमार साहू, नगरसेविका श्रद्धा पाठक, रेखा साकोरे, शिक्षणाधिकारी प्रिती मिश्रीकोटकर, क्रीडाधिकारी पियुष अंबुलकर प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
मागील पाच वर्षांपासून नागपूर महानगरपालिकेद्वारे महापौर चषक शरीर सौष्ठव स्पर्धेचे आयोजन करण्यात येते. ही स्पर्धा विदर्भस्तरीय असून यामध्ये ७४ स्पर्धक सहभागी झाले आहेत. यात ५० ते ६० किलो गटात २३ स्पर्धक, ६० ते ६५ किलो गटात १५, ६५ ते ७० गटात ११, ७० ते ७५ गटात ११, ७५ते ८० गटात ७, ८० किलोच्या वरील खुल्या गटात ७ स्पर्धक सहभागी झाले आहेत, अशी माहिती संयोजक नरेंद्र (बाल्या) बोरकर यांनी दिली.
कार्यक्रमाच्या उद्घाटनप्रसंगी बोलताना उपमहापौर मनीषा कोठे म्हणाल्या, नागपूर महानगरपालिका विकास कामांबरोबरच क्रीडा क्षेत्रामध्ये प्रतिभावंत खेळाडूंकडे विशेष लक्ष देत असते. खेळांडूसाठी मनपाद्वारे आता विशेष स्पर्धेचे आयोजन करण्यात येणार आहे. खेळांडूकरिता आता महापौर सहायता निधीही उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आलेला आहे. स्पर्धेमध्ये सहभागी झालेल्या खेळांडूचे अभिनंदन उपमहापौर श्रीमती कोठे यांनी केले.
यावेळी स्थायी समिती सभापती प्रदीप पोहाणे यांनी आपल्या भाषणातून स्पर्धेमध्ये सहभागी झालेल्या सर्व स्पर्धकांचे अभिनंदन करत मनपाद्वारे क्रिडा क्षेत्रातही कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करण्यात येत असल्याचे सांगितले.
कार्यक्रमाचे उद्घाटन दीपप्रज्वलनाने झाले. मान्यवरांचे स्वागत जीतेंद्र गायकवाड यांनी केले. यावेळी जागतिक शरिर सौष्ठव स्पर्धा मंगोलिया आणि हॉंगकॉंग येथे पदक प्राप्त केलेल्या व क्रीडा भूषण पुरस्कार प्राप्त दिनेश चावरे यांचा सत्कार मान्यवरांद्वारे करण्यात आला.
या स्पर्धेमध्ये राजेश तोमर, अरुण देशपांडे, संजय देशमुख, दिलीप शेगरप, अशोक खुरे, राजू महाजन यांनी परीक्षक म्हणून काम पाहिले.

नागपूर: शहरातील सर्व खासगी बसेस शहराबाहेर थांबण्याच्या प्रक्रियेला महापालिकेद्वारे सुरुवात झाली आहे. त्यामुळे आता चौकांमध्ये कुठेही बस थांबवून वाहतुकीला अडथळा निर्माण करणाऱ्या खासगी बससेवेला आळा बसेल. तसेच वाहतूक कोंडीही सुटण्याची शक्यता आहे. यासंदर्भातील धोरण निश्चित करण्यासाठी महापालिकेने प्रवीण दटके यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली समिती गठित केली असून तिची पहिली बैठक गुरुवारी झाली.
शहरात खासगी बसेस, महाराष्ट्र राज्य परिवहन महामंडळाच्या बसेस, शाळेच्या बसेस, शहराच्या परिवहन विभागाच्या बसेस अशा चार प्रकारच्या बसेस वर्दळीच्या ठिकाणांवरून ये-जा करत असतात. या बसेसचे शहरात ठिकठिकाणी थांबे असल्याने त्या बराच काळ तेथे उभ्या असतात. यामुळे वाहतूक कोंडी निर्माण होते. या कोंडीला रेखण्यासाठी नागपूर महापालिकेने नवे धोरण निश्चित केले आहे. याबाबत महापालिकेच्या ७ डिसेंबरच्या विशेष सभेत महापौर संदीप जोशी यांनी याबाबत निर्देश दिले होते.
शहराच्या बाहेर खासगी प्रवासी बसेसना पार्किंगसाठी जागा उपलब्ध करण्यासाठी उमरेड रोड व वर्धा रोड वरील नागपूर मेट्रो प्राधिकरण, नागपूर सुधार प्रन्यास, राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग प्राधिकरणला पत्र पाठवावे, असे निर्देश दटके यांनी दिले. या खासगी बसेससाठी जागा उपलब्ध करून देण्याबाबत धोरण निश्चित करावे. खासगी बसेसचे शहरात ज्याठिकाणी बुकिंग सेंटर आहे, त्याठिकाणी मनपाच्या परिवहन विभागामार्फत बसेस पुरविण्यात येईल का, यबाबातचा अहवाल पाहणी करून परिवहन विभागाने सादर करावा, महाराष्ट्र महापालिका अधिनियम अंतर्गत कायद्यामध्ये काही तरतुदी आहे का, याचीही पडताळणी करावी, अशी सूचना प्रवीण दटके यांनी केली.
यावेळी समिती सदस्य सुनील अग्रवाल, संदीप गवई, संजय बुर्रेवार, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते, सहायक आयुक्त अशोक पाटील, प्रकाश वराडे, वाहतूक विभागाचे कार्यकारी अभियंता शकील नियाजी, परिवहन विभागाचे रवींद्र पागे, योगेश लुंगे, यांच्यासह स्थावर विभागाचे संबंधित अधिकारी, पोलिस विभागाचे पोलिस निरीक्षक, उपनिरीक्षक प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
पुढची बैठक ४ जानेवारीला
‘पोलिस वाहतूक विभाग यांच्याशी संपर्क साधून कायद्यानुसार कार्यवाही करावी. याबाबत सर्व अहवाल सात दिवसात तयार करून पुढील बैठकीस सादर करावा. पुढील बैठक ४ जानेवारी रोजी घेण्यात येईल’, असे प्रवीण दटके यांनी सांगितले. या बैठकीत वाहतूक पोलिस उपायुक्त, खासगी बसेसचे प्रतिनिधी, महापालिकेचे विधी अधिकारी यांनाही बोलविण्यात येईल. या बैठकीत खासगी बसेसच्या प्रतिनिधींना त्यांची बाजू मांडण्यासाठी वेळ दिला जाईल, असेही दटके यांनी स्पष्ट केले.
लकडगंज स्मार्ट पोलिस स्टेशनचे लोकार्पण या हिवाळी अधिवेशनातच होईल, अशी अपेक्षा नागपूरकरांना होती. मात्र, यात ‘श्रेय’ आडवे आल्याने ही अपेक्षा फोल ठरली आहे. आता नेमका मुहूर्त निघणार केव्हा, या प्रतीक्षेत नागपूरकर आहेत.
२०१४मध्ये राज्यात स्मार्ट पोलिस स्टेशननिर्मितीचा निर्णय तत्कालीन सरकारने घेतला. नागपूरला प्राधान्य देण्यात येऊन लकडगंज पोलिस स्टेशनची निवड करण्यात आली. १४४ कोटी ९६ लाख रुपयांचा निधी या स्मार्ट पोलिस स्टेशनसाठी मंजूर करण्यात आला. दोन वर्षांत २६ हजार ८०० चौरस मीटर क्षेत्रफळात चारमजली स्मार्ट पोलिस स्टेशनचे बांधकाम करण्यात आले. बांधकाम झाल्यानंतर हिवाळी अधिवेशनादम्यान या पोलिस स्टेशनचे लोकार्पण होण्याची दाट शक्यता होती. मात्र, श्रेयाचा वादात हे लोकार्पण अडकले. त्यामुळे या स्मार्ट पोलिस स्टेशनच्या इमारतीतून लकडगंजचा कारभार सुरू होऊ शकला नाही. लोकार्पण न झाल्याने हे पोलिस स्टेशन आणखी किती दिवस धूळखात राहील, असा प्रश्न उपस्थित होत आहे.
सर्व सुविधायुक्त पोलिस स्टेशनसह येथे पोलिस उपायुक्त व सहाय्यक पोलिस आयुक्तांचे कार्यालय आहे. याशिवाय, याठिकाणी पोलिस निरीक्षक, उपनिरीक्षक व पोलिस कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी सुसज्जित बारामजली इमारतही बांधण्यात येणार आहे. याठिकाणी व्यावसायिक संकुलासह क्लब व जिमही असेल. लकडगंज पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये सौरऊर्जा प्रकल्प असून, याद्वारे ६५ किलोवॉट वीजनिर्मिती होणार आहे. मलजल प्रक्रिया केंद्रही येथे आहे. तसेच अद्ययावत अग्निशमन यंत्रणाही या ठिकाणी आहे.

नागपूर: शाळा व महाविद्यालयांसमोर टारगट युवकांनी धुडगूस घातला असून, छेड काढणाऱ्या युवकांमुळे विद्यार्थिनी त्रस्त झाल्या आहेत. शाळा महाविद्यालयीन वेळेत हे युवक विद्यार्थिनीची छेड काढतात. या टारगटांविरुद्ध पोलिस कोणतीही कारवाई करीत नसल्याचा आरोप होत आहे. या टारगटांना वेळीच आवरण्यात आले नाही तर नागरिकच कायदा हातात घेतील, अशी भीती व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे. त्यामुळे पोलिसांनी छेड काढणाऱ्यांविरुद्ध कठोर कारवाई करण्याची मागणी जोर धरत आहे.
शहरातील विविध मुलींची शाळा व महाविद्यालयांसमोर युवकांचा वावर असतो. अनेकदा याबाबत तक्रारी करण्यात आल्या. मात्र, पोलिस एक दिवस येतात नंतर मात्र पाठ फिरवितात, असे सांगण्यात येते. महालमधील शाळा व महाविद्यालयांसमोर नेहमीच टारगटांचा वावर असतो. ते विद्यार्थिनीची छेड काढतात. एखाद्या नागरिकाने हटकल्यास त्यांना मारहाण करतात. त्यामुळे कोणीही टारगटांना मज्जाव करण्याची हिंमत करीत नाहीत. तुळशीबाग मार्गावरील सी. पी. अॅण्ड बेरार कॉलेज व महालमधील हिंदू मुलींच्या शाळेसमोर तरुण घोळक्याने उभे राह असून विद्यार्थिनीची छेड काढण्याचे प्रकार रोजच होत असल्याचे परिसरातील नागरिक सांगतात. काही दिवसांपूर्वी एका विद्यार्थिनीला तरुणांनी धमकीही दिली होती.
सुसाट वाहनांचाही होतो त्रास
विद्यार्थिनींची छेड काढण्यासह शाळा व महाविद्यालयांसमोर तरुणीने वेगाने वाहने चालवून जोरात हॉर्न वाजवून नाहक त्रास देतात. वाहतूक पोलिसांनी वेगाने वाहन चालविणाऱ्या तरुणांविरुद्ध कारवाई करावी. पोलिसांनी परिसरातील शाळांसमोर गस्त वाढवावी, शाळा व महाविद्यालयांच्या वेळेत या भागात साध्या गणवेशात पोलिस तैनात करण्यात यावे, महाविद्यालयीन वेळेत या भागात दामिनी पथकाची गस्त असावी, अशी मागणी विद्यार्थिनी व पालकांनी केली आहे.
नवी दिल्ली: रेल्वेच्या प्रवासी भाड्यात, तसेच माल वाहतुकीच्या भाड्यात वाढ होणार असल्याचे रेल्वे बोर्डाचे चेअरमन व्ही. के. यादव यांनी स्पष्ट केले आहे. ही भाडेवाढ तर्कसंगत पद्धतीने करण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू असल्याचे यादव यांनी जाहीर केले आहे. मात्र, ही भाडेवाढ नेमकी किती होईल याबाबत बोलण्यास त्यांनी नकार दिला. रेल्वेच्या घसरणाऱ्या महसुलाचा प्रश्न सोडवण्यासाठी अनेक पावले उचलली गेल्याचेही यादव यांनी प्रसारमाध्यमांशी बोलताना स्पष्ट केले आहे.
भाडेवाढ हा संवेदनशील मुद्दा असून याबाबत अंतिम निर्णय घेण्यापूर्वी या विषयावर दीर्घ चर्चा करण्याची आवश्यकता असल्याचे यादव पुढे म्हणाले. आम्ही भाडेवाढीबाबत ती तर्कसंगत कशी करता येईल यावर काम करत असून यावर विचारविनिमय सुरू असल्याचे ते म्हणाले. मी यात फार काही करू शकणार नाही, कारण हा एक अतिशय संवेदनशील असा मुद्दा आहे. मालावरील भाडे हे पूर्वीपासूनच जास्त आहे. रस्त्यावर होणारी अधिकाधिक मालवाहतूक आम्हाला रेल्वेकडे वळवायची आहे, असेही त्यांनी सांगितले.
आर्थिक मंदीमुळे भारतीय रेल्वेचे उत्पन्न कमी झाले आहे. चालू वित्तीय वर्षाच्या दुसऱ्या तिमाहीत रेल्वेचे प्रवासी भाड्याच्या रुपाने येणारे उत्पन्न वर्षाच्या पहिल्या तिमाहीच्या तुलनेत १५५ कोटी रुपये आणि माल वाहतुकीद्वारे आलेले ३९०१ कोटी रुपये इतके कमी होते. चालू वित्तीय वर्षाच्या पहिल्या तिमाहीत (एप्रिल ते जून) प्रवासी भाड्याच्या रुपाने १३, ३९८.९२ कोटी रुपयांपर्यंच मर्यादित राहिले. ही माहिती माहितीच्या अधिकाराद्वारे स्पष्ट झाली आहे.
ज्या मार्गावर अधिक प्रवासी प्रवास करतात अशा मार्गावरील प्रवास भाड्यात वृद्धी करण्याचा रेल्वेचा विचार असल्याचे वृत्त यापूर्वीच प्रसिद्ध झाले आहे. आता रेल्वे बोर्डाचे चेअरमनही असेच संकेत देत आहेत.
मुंबई: भारतीय हवाईदलाची शान म्हणून ओळख असलेले आणि जमिनीवर हल्ला करण्यात कुशल असलेले ‘मिग २७’ हे लढाऊ विमान शुक्रवार, २७ डिसेंबरला निवृत्त होत आहे. कारगिल युद्धात या विमानाने मोलाची कामगिरी बजावली. यामुळे ‘बहाद्दूर’ असे नाव असलेल्या या विमानाची शुक्रवारी कारगिल हिरोंच्या उपस्थितीतच जोधपूर हवाईतळावरुन अखेरची फेरी होणार आहे.
मिग मालिकेतील विमाने मूळ रशियन बनावटीची आहेत. यापैकी मिग २३ व मिग २७, ही विमाने जमिनीवरून शत्रूच्या प्रदेशात खोलवर मारा करण्यात कुशल आहेत. यापैकी मिग २३ याआधीच निवृत्त झाले आहे, तर आता मिग २७ निवृत्त होत आहे.
ताशी १७०० किमी वेगाने उडणारी एकूण १६५ मिग २७ विमाने १९८६ मध्ये भारतीय हवाई दलाच्या ताफ्यात आली. रशियाकडून ही विमाने खरेदी करताना त्यात ‘इन्फ्रारेड’ किरणांद्वारे जमिनीवरील लक्ष्याचा शोध घेणारी विशेष सामग्री बसविण्यात आली. या सामग्रीने सज्ज असलेली १५० विमाने भारतातच तयार करण्यात आली. या सामग्रीचा १९९९ च्या कारगिल युद्धात हिमालयाच्या डोंगररांगांवरील पाकिस्तानी चौक्यांवर हल्ला करण्यासाठी चांगला उपयोग झाला. कारगिल युद्धातील कामगिरीबद्दल या विमानांना ‘बहाद्दूर’ असे टोपणनाव देण्यात आले.
२०१० नंतर विमानांच्या बहुतांश तुकड्या टप्प्याटप्प्याने निवृत्त होत गेल्या. यापैकी दोन तुकड्यांची कालमर्यादाही वाढविण्यात आली होती. त्या तुकड्या जोधपूर हवाईतळावर आहेत. त्यातील एक तुकडी मागील वर्षी निवृत्त झाली. तर अखेरची तुकडी आता शुक्रवार, २७ डिसेंबरला निवृत्त होत आहे. हवाईदलाच्या दक्षिण पश्चिम कमांडचे प्रमुख एअरमार्शल एस.के. घोटिया यांच्या उपस्थितीत हा कार्यक्रम होत आहे.
फ्लाइट लेफ्टनंट नचिकेता यांची आठवण

Going forward, experts predict this to be the single most urgent crisis to be faced by every country in the world as sea levels will continue to rise and glaciers will continue to melt bringing about unprecedented and irrevocable changes to human life as we know it.
“We don’t have time anymore. In the month of August 2019, within 12 days, India received more than a thousand extreme and heavy rainfall events! You’re getting to see the worst impacts of climate change and they’re happening now!” says, Sunita Narain, Director General, Centre for Science and Environment, highlighting the need for immediate action. “People like us are protected. We believe… and it’s our arrogance which has created the problem. Because we believe nothing can affect us! We will ramp up, we’ll put on another air conditioner – the heat outside goes on. If there is no water, we’ll buy bottled water. But we’re not worried about a dying river – because we still get clean water in our taps,” she further adds highlighting human apathy as one of the key reasons as to why we haven’t been able to come together as a species to counter climate change in any way.

नागपूर- नागरिकता कायद्यामुळे वाद निर्माण झाला आहे. अशात केंद्र सरकारने मंगळवारी २०२१च्या जनगणनेची घोषणा केली. त्याचा अधिकृत अर्ज आता ऑनलाइन उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आला आहे. यंदा तंत्रज्ञानाच्या मदतीने जनगणना करण्यात येणार आहे. त्यात अनेक प्रश्नांची नागरिकांना उत्तरे द्यावी लागणार आहेत. नागरिकांनी खरी उत्तरे दिल्यास त्या आधारावर सरकार विविध घटकांसाठी नव्या योजना तयार करणार आहे.
खराब पाणी कुठे जाते? जनगणनेच्या प्रश्नांमध्ये ‘घरातील खराब पाणी कुठे जाते? नालीत, रस्त्यावर की मोकळ्या मैदानामध्ये’, याचेही उत्तर नागरिकांना द्यावे लागणार आहे. त्यामुळे किती वस्त्यांमध्ये मूलभूत सुविधा आहेत, याचीही माहिती सरकारला मिळणार आहे.
अर्ज पाहायचाय?
भारतीय जनगणना विभागाने अधिकृत अर्ज इंटरनेटवरील आपल्या वेबसाइटवर उपलब्ध करून दिला आहे. http://www.censusindia.gov.in यावर जाऊन हा अर्ज नागरिकांना पाहता येईल. त्यात संपूर्ण माहिती देण्यात आली आहे. दोन पानांचा हा अर्ज आहे. मागील जनगणना २०११ मध्ये करण्यात आली होती. नव्या जनगणनेसाठी एप्रिल २०२० पासून काम सुरू होणार आहे.

– घराचे छत, फरशी, भिंती कशाच्या आहेत.
– त्यांच्या निर्माणासाठी माती, टाइल्स, मार्बल काय वापरले आहे.
नागपूर- त्रिशरण पंचशील व २२ प्रतीज्ञा घेत शंभरावर ओबीसी बांधवांनी बुधवारी धम्मदीक्षा घेतली. धर्म व जात बदलताना या सर्वांना वेगवेगळे ‘बुद्ध’नाव धारण करण्यासाठी पर्याय देण्यात आला. वर्धा मार्गावरील उर्वेला कॉलनी येथील बानाई सभागृहात हा धम्मदीक्षा समारंभ झाला.
सकाळी मोठया संख्येत धम्मबांधवांतर्फे संविधान चौकातून धम्म रॅली काढण्यात आली. समारंभात अनेक राज्यातील धम्मबांधव मोठ्या संख्येत उपस्थित होते. आज मनुस्मृती दहन दिन होता. त्या पार्श्वभूमिवर विविध धर्माचा त्याग करून धम्मदीक्षा घेण्यात आली.
ओबीसी धम्मबांधव, सार्वजनिक धम्मदीक्षा समारोह समिती, नागपूर व सत्यशोधक ओबीसी परिषद, मुंबई यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने या समारोहाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. सकाळी ११ वाजता संविधान चौकातून धम्म रॅली काढण्यात आली. यात मोठ्या संख्येत धम्मबांधवांसह, ओबीसी समाजबांधवही उपस्थित होते. बानाई सभागृहात रॅली आल्यावर सर्वांचे स्वागत करण्यात आले. डॉ. बाबासाहेबांनी बौद्ध समाजाची गेल्या साठ वर्षातील प्रगती कोणत्याही नजरेत भरण्यासारखी आहे. नेमके हेच हेरून हनुमंतराव उपरे यांनी ओबीसी समाजात मोठी जागरूकता निर्माण केली. त्यानंतर ओबीसींकरीता धम्मदीक्षेचे अभियान सुरू केले. भारताच्या लोकसंख्येत ५२ टक्के ओबीसी आहेत. स्वातंत्र्य प्राप्तीनंतरही त्यांनी हिंदू धर्माची कास सोडली नाही. त्यांच्या जीवनात कुठलाही बदल झाला नाही. त्यामुळे आता ओबीसी बांधवांमध्ये धम्मदीक्षा घेण्याचे प्रमाण वाढले आहे. बुधवारी दुपारी झालेल्या धम्मदीक्षा सोहळ्यातही हेच चित्र होते. बानाई सभागृह हाऊसफूल्ल झाले होते. आत व बाहेरही मोठ्या संख्येत धम्मबांधव उपस्थित होते. धम्मदीक्षा घेण्याआधी सर्वांकडून अर्ज भरून घेण्यात आला. त्यानंतर त्यांना एक नामावली देण्यात आली. यात ‘बुद्ध ‘ नाव असलेली यादी देण्यात आली. त्यांच्या आवडीनुसार त्यांना नामबदलही करण्याची संधी देण्यात आली. काहींनी करूणानायके याप्रकारचे नावही धारण केले. भूमिपूक्ष नागवंशी शाक्य व इतरांनी धम्मदीक्षा घेणाऱ्यांकडून त्रिशरण पंचशील म्हणून घेतले. त्यांना धर्मांतर झाल्याचे प्रमाणपत्र देण्यात आले. बोधीवृक्ष, बुद्ध व त्यांचा धम्म पुस्तक देण्यात आले. ओबीसी धम्मविशेषांक, ओबीसी धम्मदीक्षा कॅलेंडर तसेच पंचशील दुपट्टा देण्यात आला.
मोठी उपस्थिती
मुंबई, गोंदिया, नवी दिल्ली, राजनांदगाव, गुजरात, राजस्थान येथील ओबीसी बांधवांनी हजेरी लावली. यासोबतच फ्रान्स येथून आलेल्या एका व्यक्तीनेही समारोहाला हजेरी लावत धमदीक्षा समजून घेतला. समारोहाचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. भीकरीयाडीपुत्र रमेशभीया राठोड होते. त्यांनीच या धम्मदीक्षा सोहळयाची माहिती दिली. संचालन व आभारही त्यांनी मानले. समारोहाला विचारपीठावर उल्हास राठोड, अरविंद माळी यांच्यासह अनेक मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

After running a successful pilot across multiple cities in India and international markets, the ‘Guardian’ feature is going live in 16 Indian cities as well as Perth in Australia. Ola aims to take Guardian to more cities in the coming quarter.
The ‘Guardian’ feature, developed by Ola as a world-first, uses real-time data from rides to automatically detect irregular trip activity, including prolonged stops and unexpected route deviations. These alerts are flagged off in real-time to Ola’s dedicated 24×7 Safety Response Team, who immediately reach out to customers and drivers to confirm if they’re safe and offer on-the-call assistance until ride completion. Customers can also alert police authorities and their loved ones in parallel, through the Emergency button on the app. Ola Guardian is built on artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities on the Ola platform which enables it to continuously learn and evolve from millions of data points every single day, to improve risk signaling and instant resolution.

Taking a holistic approach to building a secure platform, Ola also conducts mandatory verification through stringent criminal records checks as well as mandatory online training for drivers that includes modules like customer service and etiquette, platform usage, partner support, defensive driving amongst others. To prevent driver impersonation Ola has put in place a facial recognition system in place, which prompts on-duty drivers to upload a selfie and authenticate themselves multiple times in between rides. This feature is live across India and is also being piloted in various international markets.
नागपूर: राज्य विधिममंडळाचे हिवाळी अधिवेशन म्हटले की, उपराजधानीत उत्साह, लगबग आणि चकाचक व झगमगाट दिसून येतो तो अर्थात सिव्हील लाइन्स व व्हीव्हीआयपींची वर्दळ असणाऱ्या परिसरात. यावेळी सहा दिवस चाललेल्या अधिवेशनाचा रोजचा खर्च १३ कोटी रुपये म्हणजे तासाला सुमारे १ कोटी ६२ लाख व मिनिटाला २ लाख ७० हजार तर प्रती सेकंद साडेचार हजार रुपये खर्च झाल्याचा अंदाज व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे.
राज्य विधिमंडळाच्या हिवाळी अधिवेशनातील सहा दिवसांच्या कामकाजासाठी ७५ कोटी रुपयांहून अधिक खर्च झाल्याचा अंदाज संबंधित यंत्रणांनी व्यक्त केला. विधिमंडळाच्या हिवाळी अधिवेशनावर गेल्या काही वर्षांपासून कमी अधिक प्रमाणात शंभर कोटी रुपये खर्च होतात. कामकाजाच्या दिवसानुसार थोडा-फार खर्च कमी-अधिक होत असला तरी, टीए, डीएपासून साहित्याची ने-आण करणे, विधानभवनपासून राजभवन, रामगिरी, मंत्री, अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांची निवासस्थाने, त्यांची वाहन व्यवस्था यावरील खर्च कोट्यवधी रुपयांच्या घरात आहे. अनेकवेळा या खर्चावरून वाद झाले आहे. नागपूर करारानुसार अधिवेशन होत नसल्याने त्याऐवजी हा निधी विदर्भाच्या विकासासाठी द्यावा, अशी मागणी करणारा एक गट आहे. यापूर्वी हिवाळी अधिवेशन म्हणजे सहल म्हणूनदेखील टीका झाली. शनिवार, रविवारी हमखास पर्यटनस्थळांचे भ्रमण व्हायचे. सामाजिक संघटनांनी याविरुद्ध आवाज उठवल्याने अलीकडच्या काही वर्षात सहलीचे प्रमाण कमी झाले.
विधानसभा निवडणुकीनंतर सत्ता कोंडीमुळे नागपुरातील अधिवेशन होते की नाही, अशी संभ्रमावस्था होती. पूर्वनियोजित कार्यक्रमानुसार ९ डिसेंबरपासून अधिवेशन होईल, यानुसार प्रशासनाने तयारी केली. मात्र, नवीन सरकारचा शपथविधी लांबला. त्यामुळे १६ डिसेंबर तारीख निश्चित करण्यात आली. सोमवार ते शनिवार असे सहा दिवस कामकाज चालले. विधानसभेत ४७ तास २९ मिनिटे तर, विधान परिषदेत ३४ तास ३९ मिनिटे कामकाज झाले. उभय सभागृहात मंत्र्यांची गैरहजेरी वा गोंधळामुळे सुमारे साडेपाच तास वाया गेले. सदस्यांची उपस्थिती मात्र लक्षणीय राहिली. यावेळी प्रश्नोत्तरे नव्हती. विधानसभेत एकाही लक्षवेधीवर चर्चा झाली नाही. सरकारची कामकाज बऱ्यापैकी झाले. यंदाच्या अधिवेशनाच्या वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे मुख्यमंत्री वगळता अर्धा डझन मंत्री होते. मंत्र्यांकडे अनेक विभागांचा कार्यभार असल्याने प्रशासनावरील ताण कमी झाला. अन्यथा सर्वच विभागांना सज्ज राहावे लागते.
रंगरंगोटीसाठी १२ कोटी
सरकारी खर्चाखेरीज अनेक सदस्य व प्रमुख पक्षांचे बडे नेते आलिशान हॉटेलमध्ये वास्तव्य करतात. या नेत्यांचे मोठ्या प्रमाणात समर्थक येतात. या सर्वांसाठी आलिशान वाहने व राहण्याच्या व्यवस्थेसह सर्व प्रकारची बडदास्त ठेवावी लागत असल्याने यावरदेखील मोठ्या प्रमाणात खर्च होतो. हा सरकारी खर्च नसल्याने त्याचा कुठेही हिशेब राहात नाही. विधिमंडळाचा खर्च ३५ ते ४० कोटी रुपये असण्याचा अंदाज आहे. संपूर्ण परिसराची रंगरंगोटी व चकाचक करणाऱ्या सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाचा १२ कोटी रुपयांच्यावर आहे. याखेरीज इतर व्यवस्थेवरील खर्चही कोट्यवधी रुपये आहे. वाहनांच्या डिझेल-पेट्रोलचा खर्च ८० लाख रुपयांच्यावर असायचा, यावेळी मंत्री कमी असल्याने हा खर्च थोडा कमी झाला झाल्याचा अंदाज सूत्रांनी व्यक्त केला आहे.

This is India’s highest award for Quality Excellence and was bestowed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India at the recently concluded 50th EEPC Indian National Awards.
The Platinum Trophy was presented by Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Honourable Minister of State – Commerce and Industry to Mr. HK Dwivedi, Senior Vice President, Corporate Quality, Fiat India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd.

FCA’s awarded-winning Jeep Compass is produced at FIAPL with 80% of the vehicle comprising of locally-sourced componentry. The JV facility is also the global manufacturing base for all Jeep Compass SUVs that are exported to right-hand drive (RHD) markets all over the world. Currently, the Compass is being exported to 13 International RHD markets including mature ones like Japan, Australia, the UK, South Africa and so forth.

नागपूर: नागपूर महापालिकेच्या जुन्या भंगार बसेसचा पुनर्वापर करून महिलांसाठी खास ‘ती बस’ शौचालयचे निर्माण करण्यात येणार आहे. या योजनेची माहिती जाणून घेण्यासाठी महापौरांनी मनपा मुख्यालयातील महापौर कक्षात संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांची नुकतीच बैठक घेतली. परिवहन समितीचे माजी सभापती बंटी कुकडे यांच्या संकल्पनेतून ही योजना साकारली जात आहे. जुन्या भंगारात निघालेल्या बसेसचा पुनर्वापर चांगल्या कामासाठी करण्याच्या प्रयत्नातून त्यांनी ही संकल्पना मांडली होती.
बैठकीला महापौर संदीप जोशी यांच्यासह आरोग्य अधिकारी (स्वच्छता) डॉ. प्रदीप दासरवार, परिवहन विभागाचे यांत्रिकी अभियंता योगेश लुंगे, साराप्लास्ट इंटरप्राइजेसचे शेखर कांत, संदीप जाट प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
मनपाद्वारे सुलभ शौचलाये निर्माण करण्यात आलेले आहे. परंतु वर्दळी भागात, आठवडी बाजारात महिलांसाठी शौचालयासाठी अडचणी जातात. महिलांसाठी शौचालये उपलब्ध व्हावी, यादृष्टीने परिवहन विभागाच्या जुन्या भंगार पडलेल्या बसेसचा योग्य पुनर्वापर करून महिलांसाठी टॉयलेट बस निर्माण करण्यात येत असल्याचे महापौरांनी सांगितले. या बसेस ला ‘ती बस’ असे नाव देण्यात येणार आहे. प्रारंभीच्या काळात प्रायोगिक तत्त्वावर दोन बसेस लवकरात लवकर सुरू करण्यात येणार आहे. एक बस ही फिरती राहणार असून, ही बस शहरातील वर्दळीच्या ठिकाणी व आठवडी बाजारात, मार्केट परिसरात राहणार असून एक बस ही राहटे कॉलनी चौकात स्थिर राहणार आहे. अशा ५० बसेस मनपा निर्माण करणार आहे. या बसेसमध्ये महिलांसाठी स्वच्छतागृह राहणार असून उरलेल्या थोड्या जागेत उपाहारगृह ठेवण्यात येणार आहे. यामध्ये महिलांसाठी चहा, नास्ताची सोय राहील, अशी माहिती शेखर कांत यांनी दिली.
अशा प्रकारच्या बसेसमुळे महिलांसाठी शौचालयाचा प्रश्न सुटेल, असा विश्वास महापौरांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केला. दोन टॉयलेट बसेस लवकरात लवकर सुरू कराव्यात, असेही महापौरांनी यावेळी सांगितले.
नागपूर- केंद्र सरकारने घेतलेल्या नागरिकत्व सुधारणा कायद्याविरोधात देशभारत तीव्र आंदोलन होत आहे. अनेक ठिकाणी जाळपोळ, दगडफेकीसारख्या घटनाही घडत आहेत. दुसरीकडे नागपूर मध्ये या कायद्याच्या समर्थनात लोकाअधिकार मंचाच्या वतीने भव्य रॅलीचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. या रॅलीत भाजप आणि राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघानेही सहभाग घेतला. तसेच, हजारोच्या संख्येने नागरिकांनीही या रॅलीत आपला सहभागी नोंदवला.
या रॅलीदरम्यान नागरिकांनी या कायद्याच्या समर्थनात मोठ्याप्रमाणावर घोषणाबाजी केली. शिवाय हा कायदा कोणाच्याही विरोधात नाही तर देशाहितासाठी असल्याच्याही प्रतिक्रिया दिल्या. दोन दिवसांपूर्वीच नागपूरमध्ये या कायद्याबद्दल विरोध प्रदर्शन करण्यात आले होते. नागरिकत्व कायद्याबाबत जनजागृती करण्यासाठी भाजपाकडून आता दहा दिवसीय अभियान राबवले जाणार आहे. देशभर चालवल्या जाणाऱ्या अभियानात तीन कोटींपेक्षा जास्त कुटुंबांशी संपर्क साधला जाईल. भाजपचे सरचिटणीस भूपेंद्र यादव यांनी याबाबत शनिवारी माध्यमांना माहिती दिली.
ही समर्थन रॅली यशवंत स्टेडिअम ते संविधान चौकापर्यंत काढण्यात आली. संविधान चौकात रॅलीचे रूपांतर सभेत झाले. यावेळी, केंद्रीयमंत्री नितीन गडकरी सभेला उपस्थित होते. त्याशिवाय, श्री देवनाथ मठाचे पीठाधीश्वर आचार्य स्वामी जितेंद्र नाथ महाराज, गोविंद गिरी महाराजही सभास्थळी उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी बोलताना नितीन गडकरी म्हणाले की, ”हिंदू असणे पाप आहे का? पाकिस्तान, बांगलादेश व अफगाणिस्तानात 1947 मध्येपाकिस्तानात 22 टक्के लोकसंख्या हिंदूंची होती, जी आज केवळ तीन टक्क्यांवर आली आहे. 19 टक्के हिंदू गेले कुठे? अनेकांचे बळजबरी धर्मांतर करण्यात आले. महिलांवर अत्याचार झाले. पाकिस्तानात नागरिकांचे कोणत्याही प्रकारे संरक्षण केले नाही.”
यावेळी बोलताना नितीन गडकरी यांनी काँग्रेसवरही निशाना साधला. “काँग्रेसने मुस्लिमांच्या विकाससाठी काय केले, केवळ मतांच्या राजकारणासाठी त्यांनी मुस्लिम समाजाचा वापर केला. 1947 पूर्वी अखंड भारत होता. बांगलादेश, अफगाणिस्तान, पाकिस्तान अशी विभागणी झाली. पाकिस्तान जर मुस्लिम राष्ट्र आहे तर त्या देशातील शिख, हिंदू इतर धर्मीयांवर अन्याय झाला तर ते कुठे जाणार?”
”महात्मा गांधींनी त्या नागरिकांना आश्वासन दिले होते, तुम्हाला ज्या दिवशी असुरक्षित असल्याचे वाटेल, तेव्हा तुम्ही चिंता करू नका, भारत तुम्हाला आधार देईल. गांधींचे हे विचार पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू व सरदार वल्लभाई पटेलांनी सांगितले होते. त्याच निर्वासितांना 70 वर्षांनंतर आमच्या सरकारने भारताचे नागरिकत्व दिले. मग आम्ही काय चुकीचे केले?”

After meeting her inspiration, she decided to stop fighting for her lost battle. She decided to quit the medical.
Now the massive challenge came on her route. Convincing her parents for Writing. Every parent wants their child happy and also well settled. As they belong to a small town, there is NO career in Writing her parents know off. Yet, they asked her why she wants to be in this field. She explained everything about her passion and inspiration.
Her parents are so supportive and compassionate. They not only permitted her but also being the strongest back.
Sakshi started writing and learning new things from Dr. Nikhil Chandwani. She was surrounded by her friends, a society where everyone thinks that only medical is a good career. Sakshi was always being the spectator, whenever she saw her friends fighting for their relationship, and becoming tensed due to unwanted reasons. Their team want to collect these children from NGOs, orphanage, slums and want to share their knowledge with them. They want to make all those children active in extracurricular activities and want them to show their hidden talents.
On the other side of the coin, Sakshi and her team planned to collaborate orphans with old age people’s so they can experience the love of their grandson or granddaughter and will tell them those historic tales and orphans also get the love of their grandparents and will ask their collection of various questions to them.
Their motto is to spread Smiles on millions of faces. And want to realize them that each child has their own special talent.
Crises may be wrong but their talent and dedication will change it.
Sakshi wants to create “SNEHDIP” That means they want to lit up the lamps of happiness, friendship, love, knowledge, and that attitude which those children will use to change their situations.
Sakshi is also working with the dynamic Aero-modelling company AERO2ASTRO as a content writer.
All these little achievements she enjoys at 19. She gives all the credit to her parents who support her and specifically her mentor Dr. Nikhil Chandwani who is there throughout the journey.

नागपूर, 21 डिसेंबर : विधिमंडळाच्या हिवाळी अधिवेशनाचा आज शेवटचा दिवस आहे. आज सभागृहात पुन्हा एकदा शेतकऱ्यांच्या मुद्द्यावरून विरोधक आणि सत्ताधारी आमने-सामने येण्याची शक्यता आहे. मात्र कामाकाजाला सुरुवात होण्याआधी राष्ट्रवादीचे नेते अजित पवार यांनी एक महत्त्वपूर्ण विधान केलं आहे.
शेतकरी कर्जमाफीची आज घोषणा होणार नाही का? असा प्रश्न विचारल्यानंतर अजित पवार म्हणाले की, ‘आज काहीही होऊ शकतं. शेतकरी कर्जमाफीची घोषणा होणार की नाही, हे माहीत नाही. पण माझा मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांचा आतापर्यंतचा अनुभव पाहता शेतकऱ्यांबाबत ते सकारात्मक निर्णय घेऊ शकतात.’ अजित पवार यांच्या या वक्तव्यामुळे आज अधिवेशनात शेतकऱ्यांना दिलासा देणारी घोषणा होण्याची शक्यता वर्तवण्यात येत आहे.
ठाकरे आणि फडणवीस येणार आमने-सामने
नागपूर इथे होत असलेल्या विधिमंडळाच्या हिवाळी अधिवेशनाचं सूप आज वाजणार आहे. आज सहाव्या दिवशी हे अधिवेशन संपणार आहे. दोन्ही सभागृहांमध्ये सत्ताधारी पक्षांतर्फे विदर्भाविषयीचा प्रस्ताव मांडण्यात येणार आहेत. तर विरोधी पक्षातर्फे अवकाळी पावसामुळे संकटात सापडलेल्या शेतकऱ्यांना नुकसान भरपाई संदर्भात अंतिम आठवडा प्रस्ताव आहे. तसंच आज सरकारतर्फे जीएसटी सुधारणा विधेयक मांडले जाणार आहे.
यंदाच्या विधिमंडळ अधिवेशात सत्ताधारी आणि विरोधकांमध्ये चांगलीच खडाजंगी झाल्याचं पाहायला मिळालं. विविध मुद्द्यांवरून विरोधकांनी सरकारवर केलेली टीका आणि सत्ताधाऱ्यांकडून त्याला मिळालेली खरमरीत उत्तरं यामुळे हे अधिवेशन चांगलंच गाजलं. अधिवेशनाच्या आजच्या शेवटच्या दिवशीही सत्ताधारी आणि विरोधक दोघेही पुन्हा आमनेसामने येणार आहेत.
मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे आणि विधानसभेचे विरोधी पक्षनेते देवेंद्र फडणवीस हे तसे जुने मित्र. परंतु आता या दोन्ही नेत्यांच्या पक्षांनी वेगळी भूमिका घेतल्याने सभागृहात दोघेही एकमेकांवर हल्लाबोल करत आहेत. अधिवेशनाच्या आजच्या शेवटच्या दिवशीही उद्धव ठाकरे आणि देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्यात जुगलबंदी रंगण्याची शक्यता आहे.
Delhi- Uttar Pradesh legislator Kuldeep Singh Sengar who was convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl who came to him for help to get a job was sentenced to life in jail by a Delhi Court on Friday. The court also ordered him to pay a Rs 25 lakh fine. Of this amount, the judge said, the girl would get Rs 10 lakh as compensation.
Kuldeep Singh Sengar was convicted this week for abducting and raping the girl in 2017. The judge, who had praised the rape survivor for fighting against the powerful politician, observed in his sentencing order on Friday that Kuldeep Singh Sengar had betrayed the trust reposed in him by the people.
At the hearing before judge Dharmesh Sharma delivered his ruling, Kuldeep Singh Sengar had pleaded to keep the monetary penalty to the minimum and not go by his election affidavit that listed his assets to be worth Rs 1.44 crore.
Sengar told the judge that his assets had depreciated significantly since he filed his 2017 election affidavit and he had been the only earning member of the family. So much so, his lawyer told the court, that his family has had to borrow money from relatives to pay the school fee for his daughter.
Judge Dharmesh wasn’t impressed. He noted that Kuldeep Sengar had abused his influence and tried to intimidate the rape survivor and her family.
He also ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation to continue her threat assessment every three months.
Kuldeep Singh Sengar raped the survivor in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao on 4 June 2017. Her complaints about the abuse were not acted upon by the police, reportedly on account of the influence wielded by the four-time lawmaker.
In April 2018, her father was beaten up by some people, and allegedly framed and arrested in an arms case.
Her tragic struggle hit national headlines after she attempted self-immolation outside chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s residence on 8 April 2018, alleging police inaction in the rape case.
The next day, her father died in custody.
When the Allahabad high court took up the case, the UP government’s top law officer opposed action against Sengar till the last moment. When the high court sent a clear message that the judges would let them get away without a proper probe, the government finally registered a case and handed over the case to the CBI.
It was only in July this year that the CBI filed a charge sheet in the rape case.
नई दिल्ली- नागरिकता संशोधन कानून (CAA) और नेशन रजिस्टर फॉर सिटिजनशिप (NRC) को लेकर चल रहा विरोध प्रदर्शन शुक्रवार को भी जारी रहा. विरोध की आग एक बार फिर देश की राजधानी तक पहुंचने लगी है और इसी क्रम में प्रदर्शनकारी जामा मस्जिद क्षेत्र में जमा हो गए. इस दौरान कई संगठनों के नेता भी इस प्रदर्शन में मौजूद रहे. हालात को काबू में रखने के लिए भारी पुलिस बल के साथ ही बड़ी संख्या में पुलिस बल के जवान भी जामा मस्जिद इलाके में तैनात हैं. इसके साथ ही दिल्ली पुलिस के कई वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी मौके पर मौजूद दिखे और लोगों को शांति से जाने की अपील करते रहे.
भीमा आर्मी प्रमुख चंद्रशेखर भी पहुंचा
जामा मस्जिद में हो रही नारेबाजी और प्रदर्शन के बीच भीमा आर्मी के प्रमुख चंद्रशेखर भी मौजूद था. गौरतलब है कि इससे पहले चंद्रशेखर ने जामा मस्जिद से जंतर मंतर तक सीएए के विरोध में मार्च करने की घोषणा की थी. लेकिन दिल्ली पुलिस और प्रशासन ने उसे इस बात की मंजूरी नहीं दी. जिसके बाद वह जामा मस्जिद पहुंचा था.
कानून के विरोध में नारेबाजी
जामा मस्जिद पर प्रदर्शन के दौरान CAA और NRC के विरोध में जमकर नारेबाजी हुई. जुम्मे की नमाज के बाद जामा मस्जिद परिसर में बड़ी संख्या में लोग जुटने शुरू हो गए. इस दौरान ही भीमा आर्मी के प्रमुख चंद्रशेखर भी वहां पहुंच गए. इसके बाद नागरिकता संशोधन कानून CAA और एनआरसी NRC के विरोध में जमकर नारेबाजी की गई. इस दौरान भारी संख्या में सुरक्षाबल भीड़ को काबू करने के लिए वहां पर तैनात दिखी.
ड्रोन कैमरों से रखी जा रही नजर
जामा मस्जिद में हो रहे विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान दिल्ली पुलिस ने हालात पर नजर रखने के लिए ड्रोन कैमरों की मदद ली. इस दौरान 5 ड्रोन कैमरों से हर हलचल पर नजर रखी जा रही है. बताया जा रहा है कि इस दौरान किसी भी स्थिति से निपटने के लिए सुरक्षाबल पूरी तरह से तैयार हैं.
12 थान क्षेत्रों में लगी धारा 144
कानून के विरोध में लगातार हो रहे विरोध के बाद शुक्रवार को भी दिल्ली के उत्तर पूर्व जिले में मौजूद 14 में से 12 थाना क्षेत्रों में धारा 144 लगाई गई है. इसके साथ ही पुलिस लगातार इलाकों में शांति व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए मार्च कर रही है. इसके साथ ही सोशल मीडिया पर भी अफवाहों के मद्देनजर पैनी निगाह रखी जा रही है.
चावड़ी बाजार, लाल किला और जामा मस्जिद मेट्रो स्टेशन बंद
दिल्ली पुलिस ने चंद्रशेखर को जामा मस्जिद से जंतर-मंतर तक विरोध प्रदर्शन करने की अनुमति देने से इंकार कर दिया है. विरोध प्रदर्शन को देखते हुए दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉरपोरेशन (DMRC) ने चावड़ी बाजार, लाल किला और जामा मस्जिद के मेट्रो स्टेशनों को बंद कर दिया है. इन तीनो में मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर प्रवेश और निकास बंद रहेगा. इन स्टेशनों पर कोई मेट्रो नहीं रुकेगी.
नागपूर – नागरिकत्व दुरुस्ती विधेयकावरून देशभरात आंदोलन सुरु आहे. या आंदोलनाला काँग्रेससह इतर विरोधी पक्षांचा पाठिंबा असल्याचे सत्ताधारी पक्षाचे म्हणणे आहे. दरम्यान इटलीवरून आलेल्यांना नागरिकत्व मिळते, मात्र बांगलादेश, पाकिस्तान, अफगाणिस्तानातून आलेल्या बिगर मुस्लिम नागरिकांना नागरिकत्व देणे यांना अडचण वाटते अशी टीका सुधीर मुनगंटीवार यांनी केली.
…तर राजीनामा देणारा मी पहिला नेता असेन
बाहेरून येणाऱ्या शरणार्थिंना भारतीय नागिरकत्व दिल्याने देशातील कुणाच्याही नागरिकत्वाला धोका पोहोचणार नाही. असे झाल्यास राजीनामा देणारा मी पहिली नेता असेन असे मुनगंटीवार म्हणाले. नागरिकत्व कायद्याविरोधात काँग्रेस लोकांमध्ये अफवा पसरवत असल्याची टीकाही सुधीर मुनगंटीवार यांनी यावेळी केली.
आंदोलनाला हिंसक वळण
नागिरकत्व कायद्याविरोधात देशभरात आंदोलन सुरु आहे. या आंदोलनाला अनेक ठिकाणी हिंसक वळण लागले आहे. दरम्यान लोकांनी शांत राहण्याचे आवाहन पोलिसांकडून करण्यात येत आहे. अनेक ठिकाणी जमावाला पांगवण्यासाठी पोलिसांना अश्रुधुर आणि लाठीचार्ज करावा लागत आहे.
नागपूर, 20 डिसेंबर : राष्ट्रवादीचे नेते अजित पवार यांना सिंचन घोटाळ्याप्रकरणी पुन्हा एकदा मोठा दिलासा मिळाला आहे. कारण अजित पवार यांचा थेट संबंध सिंचन घोटाळ्याशी जोडता येणार नाही, असं अँटी करप्शन ब्युरोने (ACB) हायकोर्टात म्हटलं आहे. एसीबीचे महासंचालक परमबीर सिंग यांनी न्यायालयात प्रतिज्ञापत्रक सादर केलं आहे. यामध्ये विदर्भातील विविध सिंचन प्रकल्पांतील सर्वच प्रकरणांत अजित पवार यांना क्लीनचिट देण्यात आली आहे.
नागपूर खंडपीठात एसीबीने सादर केलेल्या प्रतिज्ञापत्रात अजित पवारांना क्लीनचिट देण्यात आल्याने याप्रकरणी आता अजित पवार यांच्याविरोधात केस चालणार नाही. अजित पवार यांच्यासह हा राष्ट्रवादीला मोठा दिलासा असणार आहे. कारण याच प्रकरणावरून अजित पवार आणि राष्ट्रवादीलाही भाजपकडून वारंवार टार्गेट करण्यात येत होतं.
दरम्यान, अजित पवार यांना लाचलुचपत प्रतिबंधक विभागानं नागपूर नंतर अमरावती विभागातील सिंचन घोटाळ्यातही याआधीच “क्लीन चिट’ देण्यात आली होती. अनियमिततेची सर्व जबाबदारी अधिकाऱ्यांवर ढकलण्यात आली. नियमानुसार, कायदेशीर बाबी तपासण्याची जबाबदारी संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांची होती. त्यांनी तसं केलं नाही. त्यामुळं अजित पवार यांना कोणत्याही गैरव्यवहारासाठी जबाबदार धरता येणार नाही, असं प्रतिज्ञापत्र अमरावतीचे पोलीस अधीक्षक श्रीकांत धिवरे यांनी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठात दाखल केलं होतं.
काय आहे सिंचन घोटाळा ?
– ‘सिंचन घोटाळ्यासाठी आघाडी सरकार व प्रामुख्याने तत्कालीन उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार, सुनील तटकरे हे कसे जबाबदार आहेत’, असा आरोप भाजप नेते देवेंद्र फडणवीस आणि सुधीर मुनगंटीवार यांनी केला होता.
– गोसीखुर्द सिंचन प्रकल्पात कोट्यवधींचा घोटाळा झाला असून त्याची सीबीआयमार्फत चौकशी करावी, अशी याचिका दिवंगत अॅड. श्रीकांत खंडाळकर यांनी 2011 मध्ये केली होती.
-2012च्या आर्थिक पाहणी अहवालानुसार, 1999 ते 2009 या कालखंडात राज्यातील सिंचन प्रकल्पांमध्ये 35 हजार कोटींची अनियमितता असल्याची बाब समोर आली.
-फेब्रुवारी 2012 मध्ये तत्कालीन मुख्य अभियंता विजय पांढरे यांनी राज्यपाल व मुख्यमंत्र्यांना अहवाल सादर करून सिंचन विभागात गैरव्यवहार झाल्याचे नमूद केले होते.
-2012 मध्ये जनमंच या स्वयंसेवी संस्थेने उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठात जनहित याचिका दाखल करून राज्यातील सिंचन प्रकल्पांमध्ये 70 हजार कोटी रुपयांचा घोटाळा झाला असून सीबीआय चौकशीची मागणी केली.

Method:
• Melt 1/4 cup of the butter. Pour 2 tablespoons of the melted butter into an 8-cup pan; brush the butter over pan sides and bottom. Mix together the jaggery, cinnamon, nutmeg, and almonds. Sprinkle bottom of the pan with half the jaggery mixture; combine the remaining mixture with the remaining melted butter; set aside.
• In a large bowl, beat the remaining 1/4 cup butter with granulated sugar until blended. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, until blended. Beat in the mashed banana.
• Mix all-purpose, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add to banana mixture along with the buttermilk; stir until well blended.
• Pour half the batter into prepared pan. Spoon remaining jaggery sugar mixture evenly over top; cover with remaining batter.
• Bake in a 180° oven until a long wood skewer inserted into the thickest part of the cake comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Cool the cake on a rack for about 5 minutes, then invert cake onto a serving plate. Serve the cake warm or cool.

Bengaluru: Walmart and Flipkart today announced a joint strategic investment in Ninjacart, the innovative startup disrupting India’s fresh produce market with its made-for-India business-to-business (B2B) supply chain infrastructure and technology solutions. The three partners aim to help ensure better access to high-quality fresh produce for more retailers and consumers across India while also creating economic opportunities for farmers.
Partnering with Ninjacart will help Walmart and Flipkart strengthen direct sourcing of fresh produce for Walmart India’s Best Price B2B cash-and-carry stores and Flipkart’s online grocery business Supermart. The investment will also support Ninjacart to expand its customer base, reach new cities and gain exposure to global best practice to enhance the efficiency of the local fresh produce ecosystem.
Founded in 2015, Ninjacart is building a new market paradigm for fresh produce in India. Using sophisticated supply chain algorithms it developed in-house, Ninjacart leverages big data, predictive analytics, mobile applications and the Internet of Things to power a just-in-time supply chain that connects farmers to retailers via a network of more than 200 collection centers and 1,200 warehouses across India. It moves over 1,400 tons of fresh produce per day, having doubled its volumes in the last four months.
The paperless Ninjacart supply chain creates a seamless link between its more than 44,000 farmer suppliers and its customer base of 60,000 kirana stores and restaurants across seven cities. The efficiency of the system allows Ninjacart to dramatically reduce the time for produce to travel from farm to store and to allow transportation at ambient temperature to reduce costs and prevent food waste. Ninjacart provides 100% traceability along the supply chain and has slashed food wastage to less than 1%, compared to 35% in traditional supply chains.
Ninjacart works closely with its farmer partners to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality produce that aligns with market need. It provides data-driven recommendations on what crops to grow and communicates accurate pre-harvest price and demand and pricing information to help create clarity around farmer earnings. Over the last two years, Ninjacart has been able to improve the net realized income of its farmers by 15%, with payments made into farmer bank accounts within 24 hours of produce pickup.

Nagpur- The 2nd chapter of the #BerokZindagi campaign, launches multi-media awareness campaign “Asthma ke liye inhalers hain sahi – #InhalersHainSahi” today. The new campaign #InhalersHainSahi focuses on generating awareness and education about asthma besides its appropriate line of treatment with inhalers and continues to inspire patients to live a barrier-free life. The campaign aims to eliminate the stigma around inhalation therapy and make it more socially acceptable by addressing key issues & myths around therapy. This will also help to foster further dialogue between parents and their physicians and highlight that inhalers are suitable for children and for all levels of severity inhalers are not addictive and show better results than oral solutions.
Asthma is a chronic (long term) disease usually characterized by airway inflammation and narrowing of the airways, which can vary over time. It is estimated that in Nagpur local doctors daily see an average of around 65 patients suffering from asthma/respiratory diseases. The paediatric asthma segment has also seen a significant increase on a year on year basis (doctors reckon they see an estimated 30-35 new cases of children with asthma every month). On an average until date in 2019, while Nagpur has seen a 45% increase in the number of people suffering from asthma as compared to last year, approximately, one third of population from Nagpur will develop asthma at some time, mostly before the age of 20. Meanwhile, the number of patients using inhalation therapy has increased in the last few years, an estimated 65% of asthmatics discontinue inhaler use.
The reasons for the prevalence of asthma in Nagpur include amongst others air pollution attributed to the increase in air particulate matters, pollen, smoking, food habit, nutritional deficiency, hereditary predisposition and large ignorance amongst parents. The percentage and volume of lung diseases, especially asthma have gone up in Nagpur especially in Nagpur. Despite the increasing prevalence, asthma remains one of India’s poorly-controlled diseases.
It is evident that asthma is on the rise in India and there is little awareness about the most effective therapy to offer. With the eminent personalities like Actress Radhika Apte, Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, Arjuna awardee Badminton player Parupalli Kashyap and Digital influencer Shristi Dixit, the campaign emphasis on the social stigma associated with asthma & inhalation therapy. The campaign emphasis that Inhalation therapy is the foremost and most effective medication for any asthmatic patient compared to oral therapies like tablets and syrups. With inhalation therapy, the drug acts directly on the lungs instead of flowing through the bloodstream and other organs of the body. Thus, there is lesser drug dosage and hence fewer side effects. It is, in fact, the safest treatment option for asthmatics.
Dr Vinod Gandhi, Consultant Pediatrician with Gandhi Children Hospital commented “Inhaler is very important, and it can be measured by the fact 16% of mild asthma patients are at risk for a near-fatal attack. 30 – 37% of adult asthma patients presenting a severe attack of asthma had mild asthma and 15 – 20% of adult patients dying with asthma had mild asthma. This is altogether serious enough not to be neglected. Many pieces of research show that children and adults do not adhere well to regular treatment in mild asthma – just 30 % adhere regularly in real-life. Therefore, real-life scenarios suggest that most patients anyways take their inhaler only when required.”
Speaking on the occasion,Dr.Ashish Nikhare, Consultant Pulmonologist, LMH Hospital,
Nagpur, said, “People should not hide about the fact that they have asthma and it is very crucial to get asthma treated as early as possible with correct medication i.e. inhalation therapy. India : PhonePe, India’s leading digital payments platform today announced that it has crossed 5 billion transactions on its app. PhonePe had crossed the 1 Billion transaction milestone in November 2018, and has grown a phenomenal 5x in the last one year.
This landmark has been achieved by PhonePe’s reach and adoption across the country. PhonePe is accepted as a payment option across 80 lakh MSMEs in over 215 cities in India. Over 56% of its transactions are now driven by users in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. From recharges to money transfers, bill payments, to buying gold and investing in mutual funds, PhonePe has the widest variety of use cases and has emerged as the preferred payment app across the country. This year, PhonePe also introduced new use cases to make a customer’s experience on its platform more seamless and convenient including ‘Switch’, which does away with the need for downloading multiple apps. Switch allows customers to seamlessly switch between PhonePe and their favourite food, grocery, shopping and travel apps from within the PhonePe app, with just a single tap. The PhonePe platform features ‘Stores’, which helps customers discover hyperlocal shops in their vicinity. Customers can pay using their preferred payment modes like UPI, Wallet, Credit or Debit Cards at any of these stores.

पुणे: आपल्या नैसर्गिक अभिनयाच्या बळावर मराठीसह हिंदी चित्रपटसृष्टीवर अधिराज्य गाजवणारे चतुरस्त्र अभिनेते, मराठी रंगभूमीचा अनभिषिक्त नटसम्राट, ज्येष्ठ सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते डॉ. श्रीराम लागू यांचं आज वृद्धापकाळाने निधन झालं. वयाच्या ९२व्या वर्षी त्यांनी पुण्यात अखेरचा श्वास घेतला. त्यांच्या पार्थिवावर गुरुवारी अंतिम संस्कार करण्यात येणार आहेत. डॉ. लागू यांच्या निधनाने मराठी रंगभूमीवरील विवेकवादी नट काळाच्या पडद्याआड गेल्याची भावना व्यक्त होत आहे.
डॉ. श्रीराम लागू यांचं आज रात्री साडे नऊच्या सुमारास निधन झालं. त्यांचं पार्थिव दीनानाथ मंगेशकर रुग्णालयात ठेवण्यात येणार आहे. गुरुवारी त्यांच्या पार्थिवावर अंतिम संस्कार करण्यात येणार असल्याचं त्यांच्या निकटवर्तीयांनी सांगितलं. डॉ.लागू यांनी तब्बल चार दशकं मराठी आणि हिंदी चित्रपटसृष्टीवर अधिराज्य गाजवलं. त्यांनी शंभरहून अधिक हिंदी सिनेमात आणि ४० हून अधिक मराठी सिनेमांमध्ये काम केलं. तसेच २० हून अधिक मराठी नाटकांचं दिग्दर्शनही केलं. त्यांनी मराठी, हिंदीबरोबरच गुजराती रंगभूमीवरही काम केलं, वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयात शिकत असतानाच त्यांना नाटकात काम करण्याची गोडी लागली होती. त्यांनी भालबा केळकर आणि इतर सहकाऱ्यांच्या मदतीने पुरोगामी नाट्य संस्था सुरू केली. पण वैद्यकीय शिक्षण घेतल्यानंतर त्यांना कॅनडा आणि इंग्लंडला जावं लागलं. १९६०च्या दशकात पुणे आणि टाबोरा, टांझानिया येथे त्यांचा वैद्यकीय व्यवसाय सुरू होता. भारतात असताना पुण्यातील पुरोगामी नाट्यसंस्था, पुणे आणि मुंबईतील रंगायन या संस्थेद्वारे त्यांचे रंगमंचावरील कामही सुरू होते. शेवटी १९६९मध्ये त्यांनी पूर्ण वेळ नाट्य अभिनेता म्हणून वसंत कानेटकर लिखित ‘इथे ओशाळला मृत्यू’ या नाटकापासून काम करण्यास सुरुवात केली. कुसुमाग्रज यांनी लिहिलेल्या ‘नटसम्राट’ या नाटकात त्यांनी प्रमुख भूमिका केली. नंतर सिंहासन, पिंजरा, मुक्ता, ध्यासपर्व, सुगंधी कट्टा सारख्या अनेक चित्रपटांतून काम करत मराठी रंगभूमी आणि सिनेक्षेत्रात दबदबा निर्माण केला. पिंजरा, सिंहासन आणि मुक्तामधील त्यांच्या भूमिका प्रचंड गाजल्या.
मराठीबरोबरच त्यांनी हिंदी सिनेसृष्टीतही त्यांच्या अभिनयाची छाप पाडली. अगदी अभिनेते नसिरुद्दीन शहांपासून अनेक अभिनेत्यांवर त्यांच्या अभिनयाचा प्रभाव पडला. अनकही, अरविंद देसाई की अजीब दास्तान, इक दिन अचानक, कामचोर, घरोंदा, फूल खिले हैं गुलशन गुलशन, मुकद्दर का सिकंदर, लावारिस, सरगम, सौतन आदी हिंदी सिनेमातील त्यांच्या भूमिका गाजल्या.
तर आकाश पेलताना, आंधळ्यांची शाळा, आधे अधुरे, इथे ओशाळला मृत्यू, एकच प्याला, कन्यादान, किरवंत, काचेचा चंद्र, गिधाडे, दूरचे दिवे, बेबंदशाही, लग्नाची बेडी, वेड्याचं घर उन्हात, शतखंड, सूर्य पाहिलेला माणूस, हिमालयाची सावली आणि क्षितिजापर्यंत समुद्र आदी नाटकांमधील त्यांच्या भूमिकाही प्रचंड गाजल्या.
त्यांचं ‘लमाण’ या आत्मचरित्रासह झाकोळ आणि रुपवेध ही पुस्तकेही प्रकाशित झालेली आहेत. घरोंदा या सिनेमासाठी त्यांना मुख्य सहाय्यक अभिनेत्याचा फिल्मफेअर पुरस्कार मिळाला होता. १९९७मध्ये त्यांना कालिदास सन्मान देऊन गौरवण्यात आलं होतं. तसेच त्यांना दिनानाथ मंगेशकर स्मृती प्रतिष्ठानचा जीवनगौरव पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाला होता. संगीत नाटक अकादमी फेलोशिप आणि राजश्री शाहू कला गौरव पुरस्कार देऊनही त्यांचा सन्मान करण्यात आला होता. डॉ. लागू यांचा मुलगा तन्वीर याचा अपघाती मृत्यू झाला होता. त्याच्या स्मृतीप्रित्यर्थ लागू यांनी ‘तन्वीर सन्मान’ पुरस्कार सुरू केला होता.
विवेकवादी कार्यकर्ते
डॉ. लागू हे अभिनयाबरोबरच त्यांच्या परखड विचारांमुळेही ओळखले जायचे. विवेकवादी सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते म्हणून त्यांची ओळख होती. स्टारडम असूनही त्याचा कोणताही अभिनिवेश न बाळगता प्रत्येक सामाजिक कार्यात ते हिरहिरीने भाग घ्यायचे. ‘देवाला रिटायर करा’ हा त्यांचा लेख चांगलाच गाजला होता. ते अंधश्रद्धा निर्मूलन समितीशी जोडलेले होते.
