Samsung Galaxy A7(2018) sporting a three camera setup at the back has been launched at Rs 23,990 onwards at an event in New Delhi today. The 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 23,990 and 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage variant is at Rs 28,990. The device will be available to consumers for early access on 27 September and special preview sale on 28 September on Flipkart and Samsung shop.The smartphone has been launched in three colour variants—blue, black, and gold.

Samsung Galaxy A7 sports a 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with chubby bezels on the sides and on the forehead, and on the chin of the display. It also sports a fingerprint sensor on the side button which also acts as the power button.The smartphone has been launched in two RAM variants— 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB and 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB storage. The storage on both variants can be expanded to 512 GB using a microSD card.This is the first time Samsung showcased a triple camera setup in a phone.

The three cameras are fit vertically behind the device. The triple camera setup has a 24 MP AF low-light camera with f/1.7 aperture, the second is an ultra-wide 8 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.4 aperture. While the third is a 5 MP depth sensor with a f/2.0 aperture for bokeh mode.On the front, it sports a 24 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It comes with additional features such scene optimiser, AR emojis, etc

The device packs Exynos 7885 in an octa-core chipset which can clock up to 2.2 GHz.It packs a 3,300 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0The phone supports accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, gyro Sensor, geomagnetic Sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, RGB light sensor.

Teenage boxer Sandeep Kaur made sure the tricolour was flying high in Poland when she won gold in the 52kg weight category at the 13th International Silesian Boxing Championships for women. She won the yellow metal in the junior section. Sandeep thumped her opponent, Poland’s Karolina Ampuska, by a 5-0 margin in the summit clash.

Success didn’t come easy for the 16-year-old, a native of Hassanpur village in Patiala.

Sandeep’s humble background meant she always had to fight it out – be it a financial crunch in her family or fellow villagers telling her parents to force her to give up the sport – the struggle was immense.

Sandeep’s father, Sardar Jasvir Singh drives an auto in the streets of Patiala to make ends meet. His earning was enough to make sure the family didn’t sleep hungry. He also made sure Sandeep didn’t have to give up her boxing.

Indians Can Now Apply For 10-day Visa to Oman

New Delhi: Here’s good news for Indians wanting to go on a trip to Oman. They can now apply for a 10-day tourist visa for 5 Omani riyals (Dh48), said reports on Tuesday.

The announcement was made by Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, at a roadshow organised across many cities in India.

Those who hold a valid visa to the US, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Japan and Schengen countries can apply, said the report.

“We see India as a promising potential market and have witnessed significant growth over a period of time,” the report said, quoting Al Mahrouqi. “The Indian traveller is in a rapid state of evolution and is looking to be engaged in many ways. We recognise and acknowledge the demand we see from India and other potential markets,” he said.

The visa can be applied for at www.evisa.rop.gov.om . This is in addition to the existing e-visa for Oman, which is available for 20 Omani riyals with a validity of a month. The amendments include dividing tourist visas into three sections: 10 days, one month and one year.

Mumbai : Actor Ajay Devgn has started shooting for Om Raut’s film “Taanaji – The Unsung Warrior”. The 49-year-old actor on Tuesday took to Twitter to share the first picture from the muhurat shot as he kickstarted the shooting.

In the image, Ajay can be seen conducting a prayer with Raut.

The “Raid” actor will play the role of Subedar Taanaji Malusare, a military leader in the army of Shivaji and also the founder of the Maratha Empire in 17th century India in the film.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar of “T-Series”, epic drama “Taanaji – The Unsung Warrior” is scheduled to release on November 29, 2019.

तिसऱ्या दिवशीही बससेवा ठप्प, नागरिकांचे बेहाल

राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस आणि केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या गृह शहरातील शहर बससेवा तीन दिवसांपासून ठप्प आहे. बससेवा संचालन करणाऱ्या तीनही कंपन्यांची देणी महापालिकेने थकवल्याने त्यांनी बसेस उभ्या करून ठेवल्या आहेत. एकीकडे कंपन्या प्रवाशांना वेठीस धरत असून दुसरीकडे प्रशासन आणि पदाधिकारी मात्र सुस्त आहेत.

महापालिकेची बससेवा चालवण्याची जबाबदारी आर.के. सिटी बस, हंसा ट्रॅव्हल्स ऑफ स्मार्ट सिटी आणि ट्रायव्हल टाईम या तीन कंपन्यांकडे आहे. या कंपन्यांना दर महिन्याला प्रत्येकी ५० ते ६० लाख रुपये द्यावे लागते. आर्थिक स्थिती डबघाईस आल्याने दर महिन्याला ही रक्कम देणे महापालिकेला शक्य नाही. तीनही कंपन्यांचे प्रत्येकी १५ कोटी रुपये महापालिकेला देणे आहे. वारंवार मागणी करूनही पैसे मिळत नसल्याने या कंपन्यांनी शनिवारपासून बससेवा बंद केली आहे.

रविवारी सुटी असल्यामुळे फारसा फरक पडला नाही मात्र, सोमवारी सकाळपासून प्रवाशांची गैरसोय होत आहे. शहरातील विविध भागात बसने प्रवास करणाऱ्यांची संख्या मोठय़ा प्रमाणात आहे. त्यांना आता खासगी वाहनांची मदत घ्यावी लागते. त्यांनीही भाडे वाढवले आहे. आज आगारामधून बसेस बाहेर पडल्या नाहीत. मोरभवनमध्ये आलेल्यांना वाढीव पैसे देऊन खासगी वाहनाने गंतव्य ठिकाणी जावे लागले. तीन कंपन्यांच्या मालकांशी महापालिकेचे अधिकारी चर्चा केल्यानंतर दुपारनंतर बसेस सुरू होतील अशी शक्यता होती.

मात्र, कंपनी किमान प्रत्येकाला ३ कोटी मिळावे यावर ठाम आहे आणि महापालिकेची आर्थिक स्थिती पाहता १ कोटीच्यावर देऊ शकत नाही. यामुळे जोपर्यंत पैसा मिळत नाही तोपर्यंत शहरात बस धावणार नाही, असा निर्णय कंपन्यांनी घेतला आहे. कंपनी आणि महापालिका प्रशासनाच्या या वादात मात्र नागरिकांचे हाल होत आहे आणि पदाधिकारी व अधिकारी मात्र सुस्त आहेत.

‘प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना’ (PMJAY ) सुरू होऊन अवघे २४ तास उलटत नाही तोच १ हजारांहून अधिक रुग्णांना लाभ झाला आहे. ही योजना पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांची महत्वाकांक्षी योजना आहे. या योजनेचे २३ सप्टेंबर रोजी पंतप्रधान मोदींच्या हस्ते उद्धाटन करण्यात आले होते.

छत्तीसगड, हरयाणा, झारखंड, आसाम आणि मध्य प्रदेशमधील रुग्णांनी या योजनेचा लाभ घेतला आहे. पंतप्रधान मोदी यांनी झारखंडची राजधानी रांचीमध्ये या योजनेचे उद्धाटन केले होते. यानंतर काही रुग्णांना ‘गोल्ड कार्ड’ वाटप केले. ही योजना लागू झाल्यानंतर जमशेदपूरच्या सिंहभूम सदर हॉस्पिटलमध्ये पूनम महतो या महिलेने एका गोंडस मुलीला जन्म दिला. व ती पहिली लाभधारक ठरली. झारखंडमध्ये योजना लागू झाल्यानंतर काही तासांत रांची इंस्टि्ट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल सायन्स (रिम्स) मध्ये चार रुग्ण दाखल झाले. या योजनेंतर्गत १० कोटींहून अधिक कुटुंबांना ५ लाखांपर्यंतचे आरोग्य विमा कवच मिळणार आहे.

देशातील ९८ टक्के लाभदारकांची यादी आधीच तयार झाली आहे. याअंतर्गत राष्ट्रीय आरोग्य पथक (एनएचए) कडून त्यांना पत्र पाठवण्यात येत आहेत. या पत्रात क्यूआर कोड आणि कुटुंबाची माहिती लिखित आहे. त्यानुसार, रुग्णांना सरकारी आणि खासगी हॉस्पिटलमध्ये उपचार मिळणार आहे. आम्ही आतापर्यंत ४० लाख पत्र पाठवले आहे, असे एका अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले. ही योजना ३० राज्यातील ४४५ हून अधिक जिल्ह्यात एकाचवेळी सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. १० हजार सरकारी आणि खासगी हॉस्पिटलमध्ये गरिबांसाठी २.६५ लाख बेडची सुविधा उपलब्ध होणार आहे.

NAGPUR : The Nagpur District Hardcourt Tennis Association(NDHTA) is planning to host five major tennis tournaments in the city from October to December.

NDHTA secretary and newly- elected treasurer of Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) Sudhir Bhiwapurkar said, “the overwhelming success to Khasdar Krida Mahotsav tennis tournament has prompted us to organize maximum tournaments in the city.”

“Nowadays young boys and girls are attracting towards this game and we are aiming to provide them a platform to showcase their talent,” he said.

The season will start with MSLTA-Yonex Sunrise NDHTA All India Ranking Championship Series for U-12 boys and girl from October 13 to 15 followed by MSLTA-Dinshaw’s State Ranking tennis tournament for U-10 boys and girls from October 20 to 22.

The city will host MSLTA Dinshaw’s state ranking tennis tournament, managed by Practennis Academy for U-10 boys and girls from November 10 to 12. The three-day tourney will be followed by MSLTA-Yonex Sunsire NDHTA All India Ranking Championship Series for U-14 boys and girls from November 24 to 26.

From December 22 to 24, NDHTA will organise Yonex Sunrise NDHTA All India Ranking Championship Series for U-16 boys and girls.

नागपुर: सलमान खान ने हमें बहुत टिप्स दिए हैं, लेकिन वे चाहते हैं कि दर्शक मुझे मेरी एक्टिंग से पहचानें। सलमान खान ने ही मुझे कहा कि मैं अभिनय करूं, उन्होंने मुझे मोटीवेट किया। अब एक फिल्म फ्लॉप हुई तो दूसरा मौका नहीं मिल जाता है । अभिनेता आयुष शर्मा ने सलमान की यह सलाह गांठ बांध ली है। अभी वह वक्त नहीं रहा जब फिल्में फ्लॉप हो जाती थीं, तो दूसरे मौके मिल जाते थे। सलमान भाई ने कहा था कि हार्ड वर्क करोगे ताे ही सफल होगे, आयुष शर्मा और अभिनेत्री और मॉडल वरीना हुसैन सोमवार को संतरानगरी उनकी आनेवाली फिल्म के प्रमोशन के लिए पहुंचे थे। इस मौके पर उन्होंने कहा कि सलमान सर ने कहा था कि जो भी करो अपनी स्टाइल में करो। वहीं आयुष ने बताया कि सुपरस्टॉर सलमान खान के जीजा होने के कारण ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोग मुझे पसंद करते हैं।
आयुष ने कहा कि वे सलमान खान की फेमिली से हैं, जिसका फायदा मिला है। लेकिन लव यात्रि फिल्म देखने के बाद लोग मुझे मेरी एक्टिंग से पहचानें तो अच्छा रहेगा। नाम पर हुए विवाद के बारे में आयुष ने बताया कि फिल्म में उनकी भूमिका एक इंस्ट्रक्टर की है। अगर कुछ गलत होता, तो सेंसर कभी फिल्म को मंजूरी नहीं देता। वहीं वरीना ने भी कहा कि सलमान खान ने उनकी बहुत मदद की। सलमान हमेशा कहते थे कि हाड वर्क करो नहीं, तो रिजेक्ट हो जाओगे है। दोनों ने कड़ी मेहनत की और अब लगता है कि हमने सही किया। वो मेहनत अब पर्दे पर दिख रही है। आयुष ने बताया कि उनका नागपुर से कनेक्शन पुराना है, उनकी दोस्त अहिल्या तनेजा यही रहती हैं। वहीं नागपुर के बारे में उन्होंने कहा कि उपराजधानी में विंटर सेशन होता है आैर राजनीतिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण शहर है। वहीं उन्होंने कहा कि फिल्मी फैमली से तालुक्क नहीं रखता हूं, दिल्ली से मुबंई आया तब अर्पिता से पहचान हुई और शादी हुई।
वही अफगानी मूल की अभिनेत्री वरीना हुसैन का कहना है कि सलमान खान उनके लिए रियल हीरो हैं। क्योंकि उनकी वजह से आज हमारी पूरी लाइफ चेंज हो गई है। मेरी मां भी उनकी डाई हार्ट फैन हैं। उन्होंने हमें लवयात्री के लिए बहुत से टिप्स दिए हैं। अब हमें लोग जानते हैं, पूरा वर्ल्ड हमें पहचानता है, यह सिर्फ सलमान खान के प्लेटफॉर्म देने से हुआ। वरीना ने बताया कि उन्होंने फिल्म के लिए हिंदी और गुजराती भी सीखी है।

पाच राज्यांनी केला ‘आयुष्मान भारत’ योजनेला विरोध

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी रविवारी महत्वाकांक्षी आयुष्मान भारत योजना सुरु केली. परंतु देशातील पाच राज्यांनी या योजनेला लागू न करण्याचा निर्णय घेत विरोध केला आहे. दिल्ली, ओडिशा, पंजाब, केरळ आणि तेलंगणा हे ते पाच राज्य आहेत. या राज्यांनी सांगितले की, जोपर्यंत त्यांना यापेक्षा चांगली योजना मिळत नाही तोपर्यंत ते या योजनेमध्ये सहभागी होणार नाहीत.

दिल्लीचे मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल यांनी तर याला योजनेला ‘पांढरा हात्ती’ म्हणून संबोधले आहे. जेव्हा ओडिशा सरकाने या योजनेला स्वीकारण्यात असहमती दर्शवली तेव्हा पंतप्रधान नरेंद्रा मोदी यांनी नवीन पटनायक सरकारवर टीका केली. मोदी म्हणाले, ‘प्रत्येकजण आयुष्मान भारत योजनेचे महत्व जाणतो आहे. परंतु, नवीन बाबू यांना हे समजत नसावे. मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक या योजनेपासून दूर राहू ओडिशाच्या जनतेला यास्वास्थ विमा योजनेच्या लाभाबापासून वंचित ठेवत आहेत.’

NEW DELHI : Indian Navy sailor Commander Abhilash Tomy was rescued from the Indian Ocean on Monday, three days after he suffered a severe injury when the main mast of his boat was ripped off in a storm, officials said.

Tomy was sailing his boat as part of the Golden Globe Race (GGR) – a solo sailboat race around the world — when his boat was damaged in the storm about 1,900 nautical miles from Perth, Australia.

Tomy was battling for life on the dismasted sailboat Thoriya with a severe back injury, the officials said.

The Australian Rescue Coordination Centre at Canberra was coordinating the rescue mission in cooperation with many agencies, including the Australian Defence Department and the Indian Navy.

The Indian Navy deployed its P-8i surveillance aircraft to as part of the rescue mission, officials said.

The price of the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be confirmed at 2 pm on Flipkart and the new Nokia smartphone will be exclusive to the e-commerce platform. It will also be sold on Nokia’s online store in India. The Nokia 5.1 Plus will be priced lower than the 6.1 Plus, perhaps somewhere around Rs 13,000 given the specs on offer.

In terms of Specifications, the phone comes with a 5.5-inch display bearing 18:9 aspect ratio in a 6000-series Aluminum unibody design. An octa-core MediaTek Helio P18 SoC powers the phone. It is launched in two variants – 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 3GB RAM+32GB storage. In terms of optics, The Nokia 5.1 also gets an updated 16-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash.

NMC to provide free bus pass to HIV patients

Nagpur : The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to provide free bus passes to HIV and AIDS patients to enable them to travel free to the anti-retroviral therapy (ART) centres for medication.

NMC transport department’s proposal to this effect will be tabled before the transport committee. The move may benefit thousands of patients taking treatment in Government Medical College, and Indira Gandhi Medical College.

As per the proposal, NMC will issue free savvy card pass — that will be renewable every year — for Red bus service for those who can’t afford to travel to ART centres. The beneficiaries can travel in NMC buses six times a month using the pass.

After sending the list of registered persons to the transport department, the free pass or savvy card will be submitted to respective district collector, and district AIDS prevention and control squad, Nagpur. After getting administrative approval for the proposal, the transport committee and NMC will prepare a policy on this.

The transport department has also submitted income and expenditure statements for three months (April-June) of this current fiscal. As per the statement, the department generated Rs 16.06 crore through sale of tickets as against expenditure of Rs 39.41 crore.

Nagpur : Lakadganj Police caught a 14-year-old boy from Nagpur in Mumbai for stealing 50 tola gold from his maternal aunt’s house to get a sex-change surgery doneThe police post investigation learnt that the teenager, who’s maternal aunt is a bar dancer in Mumbai, too aspired to become a bar dancer to enjoy a lavish lifestyle.

Four persons including a young girl – Rehana Dhanawat (18), Imraan Shariff (24), Farookh Sheikh (24) and Prashant Jangde (26), promised the youngster a sex-change surgery by luring him to steal ornaments for the operation.

As per the cops, the eighth standard boy from a renowned school ran away from his house on August 7 with the stolen gold as well as his aunt’s cellphone. The aunt, fearing a case of kidnapping, filed a complaint at the Lakadkanj Police who then registered a complaint under section 380 of the IPC.

Nagpur Police, upon receiving a tip-off about the youngster’s whereabouts in Vashi, Mumbai, finally caught hold of him. That’s when the youngster narrated the entire ordeal to the cops.

During the investigation the young boy revealed that he wanted to get converted into a girl through a sex-change surgery to become a bar dancer. He told his friend Rehana about the desire to undergo a surgery, for which Rehana planned a meeting with her friends Imraan, Farookh, and Prashant.

The four accused assured of helping the young boy by ensuring the latter arranged for good amount of money for operation. The young boy handed over the entire gold to the four accused, which then took him along to Mumbai.

Nagpur Police arrested all the four accused and recovered 32 out of 52 tola gold. It was also said that few days before the theft, one of the young boy’s aunt had visited his house and coaxed him to become a bar dancer.

Nagpur : Ganesh Visarjan was celebrated with much pomp and gaeity across Maharashtra. This year no untoward incident has been reported from Nagpur however reports said three people drowned in Bhandara during the immersion ritual. It was reported that as many as 11 people drowned in various parts of Maharashtra during immersion of Ganesh idols till 10 pm on Sunday.

In big cities like Pune and Mumbai, processions carrying huge idols of the Lord Ganesh on decorated trucks, accompanied by thousands of devotees and troupes of drummers, continued well past midnight.

As per the Director General of Police’s Control Room, Raigad and Jalna reported three drownings each while Satara and Bhandara witnessed two drownings each and one person died in Pimpri Chinchwad.

Mumbai did not report any such incident till late evening Sunday, the control room official added.

The immersion processions were marred by unruly incidents in cities like Nashik, Pune and Kolhapur, mostly due to arguments over the use of sound amplifying systems, police said.

While public Ganesh mandals prefer to take the idols for immersion to sea shores or rivers, families which install smaller idols are increasingly conducting ‘visarjan’ at homes in buckets of water.

With a view to avoid pollution of natural water bodies, many civic bodies have also set up artificial ponds for immersion.

राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर प्रधानमंत्री  जनआरोग्य योजनेचे उद्घाटन पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या हस्ते झारखंड राज्यातील रांची येथे झाले असून या कार्यक्रमाचे थेट प्रेक्षपणही नागपुरातील कार्यक्रमात दाखवण्यात आले. देशातील सुमारे १० कोटी कुटुंबांना वार्षिक 5 लाख रुपयाचे आरोग्य विमा कवच मोफ़त उपलब्ध होणार असून सुमारे 50 कोटी लोकांना या योजनेचा फायदा मिळणार आहे . या योजनेमध्ये सफाई कामगार, घरकाम करणारे कामगार, गठई कामगार, गवंडी, हातमाग कामगार, वेटर अशा विविध गरीब समाजघटकांचा अंतर्भाव करण्यात आला असून या योजने अंतर्गत पात्र लाभार्थ्यांना सरकारने निर्देशित केलेल्या खाजगी तसेच शासकीय रुग्णालयात मोफत वैद्यकीय उपचार मिळणार आहेत. लहान मुलांचा कर्करोग, सांधे प्रत्यारोपण शस्त्रक्रीया तसेच मानसिक आजारांवरील उपचाराचाही या योजनेत समावेश आहे, अशी माहिती गडकरींनी यावेळी दिली.
नागपूर जिल्ह्यात या योजनेचा लाभ सुमारे 3 लाख 77 हजार कुटुंबाना होणार असून 1 लाख 76 हजार 103 कुटुंब हे नागपूर ग्रामीण मधील आहेत. या योजनेबद्दल स्थानिक लोकप्रतिनिधी, नगरसेवक तसेच स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थेचे सदस्य यांनी आपल्या क्षेत्रात, प्रभागात तसेच गावांमध्ये जनजागृती निर्माण करून शासकीय यंत्रणेद्वारे या योजनेचा लाभ गरिबातील गरीब व्यक्तींपर्यंत पोहचवावा, असे आवाहनही गडकरी यांनी याप्रसंगी केले. नागपूर जिल्ह्यात नोंद झालेल्या लाभार्थ्यांपैकी निवडक लाभार्थ्यांना प्रातिनिधिक स्वरुपात या योजनेच्या ई-कार्डाचे वाटप नितिन गडकरी यांच्या हस्ते यावेळी करण्यात आले.
महाराष्ट्रात महात्मा फुले जन आरोग्य योजनेतर्फे पंतप्रधान आयुष्यमान भारत योजनचे कार्यान्वयन होणार असून नागपूरातील शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालय, इंदिरा गांधी शासकीय महाविद्यालय व डागा स्मृती महाविद्यालयाचा तसेच म.न.पा. ची रुग्णालये यांचा या योजनेमध्ये अंतर्भाव करण्यात आला आहे,अशी माहिती जिल्हा शल्य चिकित्सक देवेंद्र पातुरकर यांनी प्रास्ताविकातून दिली. योजनेच्या लोकार्पण सोहळ्यात जिल्हाधिकारी अश्विन मुदगल, मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी संजय यादव, आरोग्य उपसंचालक संजय जयस्वाल, स्थानिक लोकप्रतिनिधी तसेच आरोग्य विभागाचे अधिकारी, कर्मचारी उपस्थित होते. आभार प्रदर्शन जिल्हा आरोग्य अधिकारी  योगेंद्र सवाई यांनी केले.

देश आणि पक्षाच्या हितासाठी सरकारने राफेल प्रकरणातील सत्य सर्व देशाला सांगावे : शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा

नागपुर : सध्या देशात विरोधी पक्षा कडून सरकारला राफेल प्रकरणा  करता चांगलेच घेरले असून या बाबत भाजप खासदार शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा यांनी स्वपक्षावरच अविश्वास दर्शवला आहे. या प्रकरणात काही चूक झाली असेल तर ते मान्य करायला सरकारने घाबरू नये, असे वक्तव्य त्यांनी यावेळी केले. देश आणि पक्षाच्या हितासाठी सरकारने राफेल प्रकरणातील सत्य सर्व देशाला सांगायला पाहीजे. सरकारच्या धोरणामुळे नाराज असलेले आमदार आशिष देशमुख यांच्यावतीने जिल्ह्यातील काटोल येथे युवा संसद कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आले होते. त्यावेळी कार्यक्रमानंतर सिन्हा माध्यमांशी बोलत होते.
फ्रान्सचे माजी राष्ट्रपती यांनी राफेल विमानाबाबत माहिती दिल्यानंतर काही प्रश्न पुन्हा निर्माण झाले आहेत. या सर्व प्रश्नांचे सरकारने समाधान करावे. पुर्वी ठरवलेल्या विमानांपेक्षा आता कमी विमान खरेदी करण्यात आले. राफेल करार करण्यासाठी फक्त पंतप्रधानच गेले होते. त्यांच्यासोबत संरक्षनमंत्री का गेल्या  नाहीत? असा सवालही त्यांनी यावेळी उपस्थित केला आहे. राफेल विमानाचे कंत्राट एचएएल कंपनीला का दिले नाही? असा प्रश्न करत त्यांनी विमानांच्या किंमतीवरून स्वपक्षाच्या धोरणावरच शंका उपस्थित केली आहे.

शहरात पुन्हा ‘आपली बस’ ची चाके थांबली

नागपुर : महानगर पालिकेच्या परिवहन विभागाने जुनी थकबाकी थकवल्याने शुक्रवारी शहरात स्टार बस ऑपरेटरने बसेस बंद ठेवण्याचा पवित्रा घेतला आहे. नागपूर शहरात सार्वजनिक परिवहन व्यवस्थेचा मोठ्या प्रमाणात उपयोग होतो. अशा परिस्थितीत बस सेवा बंद पडल्याने नागरिकांचे प्रचंड हाल होत आहेत. महत्वाचे म्हणजे ऐन गणेशोत्सवाच्या काळात नागपूरकरांच्या अडचणींमध्ये वाढ झाली आहे.
नागपुरातील ‘आपली बस’ या शहर बससेवेची जबाबदारी असलेल्या रेड बसची सेवा शुक्रवारी सकाळपासून बंद होती. त्यामुळे सकाळपासून चाकरमान्यांसह  विद्यार्थ्यांचे प्रचंड हाल होत आहेत. सकाळपासून एकही रेड बस रस्त्यावर धावत नसल्याने प्रवासी  संताप व्यक्त करत आहेत. आपली बसची सेवा पुरविणाऱ्या तीन ऑपरेटरर्स यांना  थकबाकी न दिल्याने त्यांनी रेड बससेवा सकाळपासून बंद ठेवली.
माहिती नुसार शहर बससेवा पुरवणाऱ्या तिन्ही ऑपरेटची ४५ कोटींची थकबाकी महापालिककडे आहे. गेल्या महिन्यातही एक दिवस पूर्णवेळ शहर बससेवा ठप्प पडली होती. तेव्हा दीड कोटी रुपये देण्यात आले होते. त्यानंतर सेवा सुरू झाली होती. मात्र त्यानंतर पुन्हा बससेवा ऑपरेटची थकीत ४५ कोटींपर्यंत पोहचले आहेत.

महापौरांनी घेतला विसर्जन स्थळावरील तयारीचा आढावा

नागपूर: नागपुरात रविवारी २३ सप्टेंबर रोजी होणाऱ्या सार्वजनिक गणेश विसर्जनाच्या तयारीचा आढावा महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी घेतला. त्यांनी फुटाळा तलावाच्या विसर्जन स्थळी आकस्मिक भेट देऊन तयारीची सद्यपरिस्थिती जाणून घेतली. फुटाळा तलाव येथे वायुसेना नगरच्या दिशेने ग्रीन व्हिजील फाउंडेशनचे स्वयंसेवक पहिल्या दिवसांपासून सेवा देत आहेत. या स्वयंसेवकांची महापौरांनी भेट घेऊन माहिती जाणून घेतली. अगदी पहिल्या दिवसांपासून स्वयंसेवक भक्तांना कृत्रिम तलावात मूर्ती विसर्जनाची विनंती करीत आहे. निर्माल्य कुंडातच निर्माल्य दान करावे असा आग्रह करीत आहे. मनापाच्या आवाहनाला नागरिक उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद देत असल्याची माहिती ग्रीन व्हिजील फाउंडेशनचे संस्थापक कौस्तभ चैटर्जी यांनी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांना दिली. याप्रसंगी तलावावर मूर्ती विसर्जनासाठी आलेल्या भक्तांना महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी स्वतः मूर्ती कृत्रिम तलावात विसर्जित करण्याची विनंती केली. महापौरांच्या आवाहनाला नागरिकांनी प्रतिसाद देत निर्माल्य दान करीत कृत्रिम तलावात मूर्ती विसर्जन केले. यानंतर महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी रामनगर आणि अंबाझरी येथील कृत्रिम तलावांना भेट देत मनपा तर्फे करण्यात आलेल्या व्यवस्थेची पाहणी केली.
सर्व गणेश भक्तानी जलप्रदूषण टाळण्यासाठी महापालिकेने सुरू केलेल्या चळवळीला सहकार्य करावे. कृत्रिम तलावातच मूर्ती विसर्जन करावे. निर्माल्य दान करावे, असे आवाहन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले. विसर्जन सुरळीत पार पडावे यासाठी मनपाने जी व्यवस्था केली आहे त्याला नागरिकांनी सहकार्य करावे, असे आवाहनही त्यांनी यावेळी केले.
