Nagpur: CREDAI Nagpur Metro which is the apex body of more than 250 builders of Nagpur City in association CREDAI Maharashtra and CREDAI National is organizing it’s 9th Property Expo from October 12 to 15 at Chitnavis Centre, Civil lines Nagpur.
CREDAI believe in transparency in properties and will showcase sanctioned projects and RERA registered properties only. In this Expo the public will be made aware of the dos and dont’s while purchasing or investing in property informed Vishal Agarwal president of CREDAI in a press conference while informing about the Expo.
He further added that one must follow the key parameters before investing in a real estate property namely as project approval by NIT, NMC or collector. One must also check whether the project file is approved by all leading banks for home loan along with the previous track records of the worked done by the builders.
The upcoming Expo will witness 50 plus builders exhibiting state of art properties in both residential and commercial category. The Expo will leverage the benefits to consumers by tabling best property options in Nagpur and Metro Region.

Nagpur: A railway over bridge (RoB) is going to be constructed at Kawrapeth railway crossing. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, has sanctioned Rs 96 crore from Central Road Fund (CRF) for the same. Dr Milind Mane, MLA, North Nagpur assembly segment, recently undertook a visit to site where RoB is going to be constructed.
The RoB will connect Rajiv Nagar to Kawrapeth and currently due to railway gate citizens face inconvenience whenever a train has to pass through. The gate lies on a busy route and hence remains closed frequently and hence a RoB was necessary.
Officials from Public Works Department (PWD) including Executive Engineer Pohekar, SuDivisional Officer (SDO) Mrs Godbole, Section Engineer H P Rathod. Dilip Gaur, President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), North Nagpur segment, Sheshrao Gotmare, Rajumar Selokar, and Niranjana Patil, all corporators, were present on the occasion Dr Mane discussed the technical details about the project and thanked Gadkari for sanctioning the funds. Pandurang Nikalje, Akash Gawande, Ajay Dhoke, Abdul Bhai, Swapnil Kakde and others were also present.
Nagpur: As the Metro rail works are in progress in the city, city’s Zero Mile station is being focussed for extra details and infrastructural magnificence. Plans are afoot to construct two mega buildings through which Metro viaduct would pass, at Zero Mile station.
If sources are to be believed, both the buildings will be as high as 19 storeys, with a distance of 75 meter between each other.
The portion between the two buildings would be brought up as annexe to be constructed by MahaMetro. Anant Kalse, principal secretary (state legislature) has asked MahaMetro to take the annexe construction. The annexe will come up on a one acre land behind deputy commissioner of police (DCP) office. The land is at present in possession of police department. The state government will hand over the land to MahaMetro in case it decides to go ahead with the project.
Accordingly, the Metro officials prepared the basic design and estimate and submitted it to him. Kalse will visit the city in the first or second week of this month to further discuss the project. A MahaMetro source said that the cost of the annexe was Rs142 crore. “It includes everything from fire safety appliances, air conditioning, elevators, parking, etc,” he added.
The two buildings will be 90 metre high and will be connected by a walk way. The only difference between the station and annexe building is that Metro viaduct will not exert any load on the columns and beams of the latter while it will do so in the case of the former.

नागपूर : पाचपावलीतील राणी दुर्गावती चौक येथून दिवसाढवळ्या एका युवतीचे अपहरण करण्यात आल्यामुळे खळबळ माजली आहे. ही घटना मंगळवारी घडली.
एका २१ वर्षीय युवतीने नांदेड येथील युवकासोबत प्रेमविवाह केला आहे. गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून त्यांचे आपसात पटत नव्हते. त्यामुळे युवती माहेरी गेली होती. तिने पतीकडे परत जाण्यास नकार दिला होता. परिणामी, पतीने अनेकदा सासरी जाऊन वाद घातला होता.
युवती मंगळवारी सकाळी ९ च्या सुमारास ९ वर्षाच्या लहान भावासोबत दुचाकीने राणी दुर्गावती चौकातील पेट्रोल पंपावर गेली होती. तेथे तीन युवक कारने आले. त्यापैकी एकाने युवतीला बळजबरीने कारमध्ये बसवले. त्यानंतर ते युवतीला सोबत घेऊन गेले. युवतीच्या भावाने घरी जाऊन वडिलांना घटनेची माहिती दिली. वडिलांनी पोलीस ठाण्यात तक्रार नोंदवली. तसेच, पेट्रोल पंपावरूनही पोलिसांना घटनेची माहिती देण्यात आली होती.
पाचपावली पोलीस पेट्रोल पंपावर गेले. त्यांनी सीसीटीव्ही फुटेज तपासले. त्यावरून पोलिसांनी कारचा शोध घेतला. दरम्यान, कार चालक व त्याच्या साथीदाराने युवती तिच्या पतीसोबत गेल्याची माहिती दिली. कारमध्ये युवतीच्या पतीचा मित्र हर्ष बसला होता. हर्षने अपहरणाचा आरोप फेटाळून युवती तिच्या पतीसोबत प्रतापनगरातील भरोसा सेलमध्ये गेल्याचे सांगितले.
युवतीच्या पतीने हर्षकडून त्याला कर्ज मिळवून देण्याच्या बहाण्याने साडेचार हजार रुपये घेतले आहेत. तो तीन दिवसांपूर्वी हर्षच्या घरी गेला होता. युवतीच्या पतीने अशाप्रकारे अनेकांना फसविल्याची माहिती पोलिसांना मिळाली आहे. रात्री उशिरापर्यंत युवती मिळाली नसल्यामुळे ती पतीसोबत नागपूरबाहेर गेल्याचा संशय बळावला आहे.
Nagpur: The social security cell of Nagpur Crime Branch raided a house in Jaripatka area and arrested a couple for indulging in illegal sex trade. The accused were identified as Namrata Bawane (40) and Naresh Bawane (40).
The Bawane couple is living as tenant at Vijay Waghmare’s residence in Ahuja Nagar in Jaripatka area. They are accused of alluring girls and women into sex trade promising good amount of money. On getting information, the social security cell, led by ACP Crime Branch Sambhaji Kadam, laid a trap and sent a decoy to the Bawane couple. The accused couple provided a girl to the decoy in exchange of money.
On getting signal from the decoy, the police team raided the house and arrested the Bawane couple along with a girl. Police freed the girl after initial investigation and booked Namrata and Naresh Bawane under relevant sections of IPC.
The team included PI Vikram Gaud, API Sanjeevani Thorat, Sub PI Amita Sonawane, Damodar Rajurkar, Shitlaprasad Mishra, Mukunda Garmode, Subhash Khedkar, Sanjay Pande, Manoj Chavan, Prahlad Dole, Surekha Sandekar, Chhaya Raut, Sadhna Chavan, Anil Dubey, Baliram Revatkar, and social workers Nutan Revatkar and Rani Kalamkar.

ऐकायला नवल वाटत असेल पण नागपूर रेलवे स्टेशन वरील आरपीएफ पोलिसांनी याचा शोध काढला आहे. झाले असे की आरपीएफ पोलीस गस्त घालताना अतिशय ढिले कपडे घातलेला एक व्यक्ती रेल्वे स्थानकावर दिसला. पोलिसांना त्या व्यक्तीवर संशय आल्याने त्यांनी ४४ वर्षीय भैया लाल तेलांगची कसून चौकशी केली. चौकशीमध्ये त्यांनी दारूबंदी असलेल्या चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्यातील बल्लारशा येथे देशी दारूची तस्करी करत असल्याची कबुली आरपीएफ जवानांना दिली. पोलीस आरोपीची पडताळणी करत असताना एक दोन नव्हे तर तब्बल ६० देशी दारूच्या बाटल्या आरोपीच्या पॅन्टमधून पोलिसांनी काढल्या.

नागपुर : उपराजधानी के हुड़केश्वर और प्रतापनगर पुलिस स्टेशन अंतर्गत अज्ञात आरोपियों ने दो लोगों को नौकरी दिलाने व फाइनेंस कंपनी से लोन मंजूर कराने का झांसा देकर उनको करीब ८० हजार रुपए की चपत लगा दी। दोनों पीड़ितों की शिकायत पर अज्ञात आरोपियों के खिलाफ धोखाधड़ी का मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार दीनदयाल नगर प्रतापनगर निवासी अंकुश नाईक (३३) गत दिनों हिंगना टी पाइंट के पास सुपर कंस्ट्रक्शन कंपनी में बैठे थे। तभी उनके मोबाइल पर किसी अज्ञात आरोपी ने फोन किया। उसने अंकुश जयंत नाईक से कहा कि वह उन्हें आदित्या बिरला कंपनी में नौकरी दिला सकता है।
अंकुश से उसने इस तरीके से बातचीत की, कि वह उसके झांसे में आ गए। उसने नौकरी दिलाने के नाम पर उनसे अलग-अलग समय में आॅनलाइन व नकदी सहित करीब ४०,९०० रुपए ले लिया। किन्तु रुपए लेने के बाद नौकरी नहीं दिलाई जाने पर जब अंकुश ने जब अपने पैसे वापस मांगे तो आरोपी ने उनसे बातचीत बंद कर दी। वह समझ गए कि आरोपी ने उन्हें चूना लगा दिया है, तब वह प्रतापनगर थाने में शिकायत दर्ज कराई। पुलिस ने अज्ञात आरोपी के खिलाफ धोखाधड़ी का मामला दर्ज कर लिया है।
दूसरी घटना में मां भगवती शेष नगर बस स्टाप हुड़केश्वर निवासी किशोर सुखराम बोरगडे (२३) के मोबाइल पर गत दिनों एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति ने फोन किया। फोन करने वाले ने किशोर से कहा कि वह श्री बालाजी ग्ल्यानर फाइनेंस कंपनी से बाेल रहा है। उसने किशोर को अपनी बातों में फांस लिया। जब किशोर उसके झांसे में आ गए तब उसने कंपनी से कर्ज दिलाने का उन्हें लालच दिया। आरोपी ने किशोर को अलग-अलग नियम व शर्तों के बारे में बताकर उनसे अपने बैंक खाते में ४५,००० रुपए जमा करा लिया।
उसके बाद आरोपी ने उनसे बातचीत करना बंद कर दिया। आखिर परेशान होकर किशोर बोरगडे ने आरोपी के खिलाफ हुड़केश्वर थाने में शिकायत की। हुड़केश्वर थाने के उपनिरीक्षक कावरे ने अज्ञात आरोपी के खिलाफ धारा ४२०, सहधारा ६६(ड) के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है।

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm announced the prize’s winner on Tuesday.
Last year’s physics prize went to three Americans who used abstruse theory and ingenious equipment design to detect the faint ripples in the universe called gravitational waves.
The three winners announced Tuesday bring to 210 laureates who have won the physics prize since it was first awarded in 1901.
Nagpur : BJP MLA from Katol Ashish Deshmukh, a staunch proponent of separate Vidarbha state, has announced his resignation as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly as well as from the primary membership of the party.
Speculation is that Deshmukh is joining the Congress, as he is meeting party president Rahul Gandhi in Wardha this evening. Gandhi is in Wardha to attend the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC).
Deshmukh, who represents Katol constituency in Nagpur district, will meet Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagde Wednesday to submit his resignation.
He has accused the BJP government of ignoring the plight of farmers and youths in the country and indulging in “divisive and vote bank politics”.
Deshmukh, the son of former president of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee Ranjeet Deshmukh, has been demanding that Vidarbha be carved out from Maharashtra.
“The situation of farmers and the youth has worsened in the last four years but the government is indulged only in the politics of vote bank for wining elections and dividing the nation,” he said.
As the BJP has been ignoring the people of India, I am tendering my resignation as an MLA and a member of the BJP, he added.

Nagpur/Wardha : Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi and others on Tuesday paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at the historic Sevagram Ashram in Wardha as the nation began a year-long celebration leading to his 150th birth anniversary, a party official said.
The Congress chief, who arrived here from New Delhi, later went with 53 members of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) to Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Bapu Kutir’ modest hut and took part in a prayer meeting.
This would be followed by a special CWC meeting at the Mahadev Bhavan on the outskirts of the ashram, to commemorate the historic Congress Working Committee meeting held here in 1942 under Gandhiji’s leadership.
The clarion call of the ‘Quit India Movement’ of August 8, 1942, was made from here, which ultimately saw the collapse of the British Rule after five years.
“We are now celebrating the…birth anniversary of Bapu and also the 70th year of Independence, so we are holding a CWC meeting here,” Congress Secretary and legislator Harshawardhan Sakpal.
In another incident of great signficance, from March 12-14, 1948, a meeting was held at the Sevagram Ashram on ‘Gandhiji has gone: Who will guide us now’, which was attended by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Vinoba Bhava, Jaiprakash Narain and other top leaders of that era.
After the CWC meeting, Rahul Gandhi and others will garland a statue of the Mahatma near the collectorate and then launch a symbolic ‘padyatra’ (procession) through the main areas of the town, followed by a ‘Sankalp Rally’ at the Circus Ground in Ramnagar.
New Delhi : Police are using tear gas and water cannons as thousands of thousands of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) members reached the National Capital today. The protesting farmers are coming to the capital with several demands including farm loan-waiver, friendly crop insurance and support for small and marginal farmers and to implement recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission.
The police had earlier issued prohibitory orders in east and north-east Delhi anticipating trouble. The rally is an echo of the massive protest of almost 5 lakh farmers spearheaded by BKU founder Mahendra Singh Tikait at Delhi’s Boat Club in October 1988.

Nagpur : Taking inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts and vision and walking on the path shown by him is a real tribute to him, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Tuesday.
On the 149th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Fadnavis called upon people to make the Clean India Mission a success as the issue of cleanliness was very close to Mahatma Gandhi’s heart.

The chief minister paid tributes to him on the occasion and also took part in a padyatra here in Maharashtra.
“Shat shat naman to Mahatma Gandhiji on his birth anniversary today as we are entering Bapu’s 150th birth anniversary, let us strive to work hard to dedicate a Swachh Bharat to himthis year,” Fadnavis said in a tweet.

नवी दिल्ली : पुणे येथील सिंबायोसिस विद्यापीठाला स्वच्छ व निरोगी परिसर ठेवण्याकामी केलेल्या उल्लेखनीय कार्यासाठी सोमवारीला केंद्रीय मनुष्यबळ विकास मंत्री प्रकाश जावडेकर यांच्या हस्ते ‘स्वच्छ कँपस रँकिंग’ च्या प्रथम पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आले. या विद्यापीठासह राज्यातील अन्य दोन संस्थांनाही यावेळी गौरविण्यात आले.
केंद्रीय मनुष्यबळ विकास मंत्रालयाच्यावतीने सोमवारी हॉटेल अशोक येथे ‘स्वच्छ कँपस रँकिंग पुरस्कार-2018’ वितरण सोहळ्याचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. यावेळी मनुष्यबळ विकास राज्यमंत्री डॉ.सत्यपाल सिंह आणि उच्च शिक्षण विभागाचे सचिव आर. सुब्रमण्यम उपस्थित होते. देशातील एकूण 51 उच्च शैक्षणिक संस्थाना परिसर स्वच्छ व निरोगी ठेवण्याकामी केलेल्या उल्लेखनीय कार्यासाठी 8 श्रेणींमध्ये सन्मानित करण्यात आले.
विद्यापीठाच्या (निवासी) श्रेणीमध्ये देशातील एकूण 10 विद्यापीठांना सन्मानित करण्यात आले. यात पुणे येथील सिंबायोसिस अभिमत विद्यापीठाने प्रथम क्रमांक पटकाविला. यावेळी विद्यापीठाचा सन्मान करण्यात आला.
तांत्रिक संस्था (निवासी) श्रेणीमध्ये सातारा जिल्ह्यातील कराड येथील कृष्णा इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल सायंसेस तथा अभिमत विद्यापीठाला सन्मानित करण्यात आले. या श्रेणीत एकूण 10 पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आले व या संस्थेला 5व्या क्रमांकाच्या पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आले.
तांत्रिक महाविद्यालयांच्या श्रेणीमध्ये देशातील ५ महाविद्यालयांना सन्मानित करण्यात आले. यात नवी मुंबई येथील महात्मा गांधी मिशन वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयाला तिसऱ्या क्रमांकाच्या पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आले.
सर्व पुरस्कार विजेत्या संस्थांना सन्मानचिन्ह देऊन गौरविण्यात आले.
New Delhi: GMR Airports Limited, a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure, has emerged as the highest bidder for development, operations and management of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur on a public private partnership (PPP) basis.
MIHAN India Limited, a joint venture between Maharashtra Airport Development Company (a Government of Maharashtra undertaking) and Airport Authority of India, had started the RFP process to privatize the Nagpur Airport in March 2018. The project involves up-gradation, modernisation, operation and maintenance of Nagpur airport for a period of 30 years and includes construction of a new terminal, among other works. Two bidders – GMR Airports and GVK – submitted their bids. GMR Airports Limited has submitted highest revenue share bid and expecting Letter of Award shortly.
GBS Raju, Business Chairman, GMR Airports, said: “We look forward to work on this prestigious airport and to upgrade the existing airport to global standards which would be a matter of pride for the city of Nagpur and provide a further fillip to the economic potential of Vidarbha region.”
Sidharath Kapur, Executive Director, GMR Airports Limited, added: “Nagpur airport is a strategically located high potential airport. नागपूर : दैनंदिन कामातून उसंत घेत मंगळवारी (ता. २) नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या अधिकारी व कर्मचाऱ्यांनी मनपा च्या सिव्हील लाईन मुख्यालयाचा परिसर हातात झाडू, फावडे घेऊन स्वच्छ केला. बाह्य परिसरासोबतच इमारतीच्या आतील कार्यालयातही कर्मचाऱ्यांनी स्वच्छता करून नवा आदर्श नागपूरकरांसमोर ठेवला आहे.
राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी यांच्या १५० व्या जयंतीचे औचित्य साधून आज सकाळी ८ वाजता मनपा सिव्हील लाईन मुख्यालयातील सर्व अधिकारी-कर्मचारी कार्यालयात हजर झाले. ‘स्वच्छता ही सेवा’ ह्या राष्ट्रव्यापी उपक्रमाच्या समारोपाच्या निमित्ताने सर्वच कर्मचाऱ्यांनी हातात झाडू घेतला. विविध विभागाच्या विभागप्रमुखांच्या नेतृत्वात ही स्वच्छता मोहीम राबविण्यात आली. या मोहीमेचे नेतृत्व सहायक आयुक्त (सामान्य प्रशासन) महेश धामेचा यांनी केले. प्रत्येक विभागाची टीम तयार करण्यात आली. या टीमला सिव्हील लाईन मुख्यालय परिसराचा एक-एक भाग स्वच्छतेकरिता देण्यात आला. मुख्यालयाबाहेरील फुटपाथ स्वच्छतेचीही जबाबदारी एका टीमला देण्यात आली. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज प्रशासकीय इमारतीसमोरील आणि बाजूचा परिसर, मनपा मुख्यालयाच्या जुन्या इमारतीसमोरील परिसर, आरोग्य विभाग आणि उद्यान विभाग, नागरी सुविधा केंद्र असलेल्या दोन्ही इमारतींचा परिसर, अग्निशमन विभाग इमारतीसमोरील परिसर, पार्किंग, उद्यान आदी ठिकाणी प्रारंभी कर्मचाऱ्यांनी स्वच्छता केली. त्यानंतर संबंधित कर्मचाऱ्यांनी त्यांच्या-त्यांच्या विभागात स्वच्छता मोहीम राबविली.

नेहरूनगर झोनअंतर्गत ताजबाग परिसरात स्वच्छता मोहीम राबविण्यात आली. यामध्ये झोन सभापती रिता मुळे, क्रीडा सभापती नागेश सहारे, नगरसेविका स्नेहल बिहारे, ताजबाग ट्रस्टचे प्रशासक कुबडे, माजी नगरसेवक अमान, झोन सहायक आयुक्त राजेश कराडे सहभागी झाले होते. धंतोली झोनअंतर्गत विविध प्रभागात तीन ठिकाणी स्वच्छता मोहीम राबविण्यात आली. सभापती विशाखा बांते, नगरसेविका हर्षला साबळे, सहायक आयुक्त स्मिता काळे यांच्यासह अन्य नगरसेवक मोहिमेत सहभागी झाले होते.
लक्ष्मीनगर झोनअंतर्गत कामागार कॉलनी येथे सहायक आयुक्त सुवर्णा दखने यांच्या नेतृत्वात स्वच्छता अभियान राबविण्यात आले. सर्व अधिकारी, कर्मचारी, झोनल अधिकारी, आरोग्य निरीक्षक यामध्ये सहभागी झाले होते. अन्य झोनमध्येही संबंधित झोन सभापती, प्रभागातील नगरसेवक व सहायक आयुक्त सहभागी झाले होते.
Nagpur : Nobel Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi will attend the Vijayadashmi event of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as Chief Guest at the Reshmibagh Maidan in Nagpur on October 18.
The event will take place a day before Dussehra, which falls on October 19 this year. During the function, which is held every year to mark the formation of RSS on Vijayadashmi in 1925, chief of the organisation addresses the workers.
In the last year’s event, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat talked about various issues including cow vigilantism and terror situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Last year, RSS had invited Sant Nirmal Das Maharaj as the Chief Guest at the last year’s event.
After much delays and controversies, Zee Studios finally dropped the trailer of its highly anticipated period-drama Manikarnika — The Queen of Jhansi on Tuesday morning.
Though it has been directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, it can be easily mistaken for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, courtesy its grand palatial sets, elaborate war sequences and ornate period costumes.
At the heart of it all is Kangana Ranaut, who plays the titular role of the fierce warrior and mother, Rani Lakshmibai, a queen determined to win the independence of her beloved kingdom. With Amitabh Bachchan’s rich baritone voice setting the stage for the historic battle, Manikarnika’s makers have left no stone unturned to make the film a brilliant spectacle.
Manikarnika has been creating controversy ever since it was announced. First, its director Krish Jagarlamudi abandoned the ambitious project midway, forcing Kangana to take up his role, which reportedly did not go down too well with actor Sonu Sood, who was playing Maratha Army commander-in chief Sadhashivrao Bhau in the film. He quit the project, saying he could not work under an incompetent director. However, Kangana blamed his exit on his refusal “to work under a woman director”.
Next the film’s producer, Zee Studios’ business head Sujay Kutty, was sacked for agreeing to hike the film’s budget from an estimated Rs 60 crore to Rs 125 crore. Now most recently, actor Swati Semwal, who was to play Sadhashivrao’s wife Parvati in the film, has also quit the project, saying her role in the epic drama was no longer as important as it was when she came on board.
Written by KV Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali fame, Manikarnika also stars Zeeshan Ayyub, Ankita Lokhande and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles.
Originally slated to release later this year, it is now expected to hit theatres on January 25, 2019.
The Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Mahamarg passing through 10 districts, covering a distance of 710 kms and connecting adjoining 24 rural districts will now cost Rs 55,305 crore. This Super Communication Expressway was to cost Rs 49,247 crore but now the cost had been revised by almost Rs 6,000 crore after the tender process was klick-started.
The State Government has accorded its nod to revised administrative cost of Samruddhi Mahamarg, portrayed as “a game-changer for Maharashtra”. The Government also decided to increase concession period to 40 years, looking at the magnitude of this mega-project. The entire project is to be completed in 30 years and interest during construction has been pegged at Rs 6396.18 crore. State Government has decided to shoulder the responsibility of this interest component while any additional escalation in project cost and interest due to delay will be responsibility of MSRDC.
For the current fiscal, the State had promised to allocate Rs 512.99 crore while during next financial year (2019-20) the amount will be Rs 2026.28 crore and this burden will increase to Rs 3856.91 crore. The land acquired for inter-changes, toll plazas, and amenities will be transferred to specially created company named Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway Limited. Besides, strict times lines have been prescribed for MSRDC to raise funds by utilising land acquired for Samruddhi Mahamarg.
According to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the project will usher “Maharashtra into prosperity, boost agro-based industries, attract globally competitive manufacturing units in Vidarbha and Marathwada and will place Maharashtra ahead of other states by at least 20 years.”
The road will start from Nagpur and will pass through 30 talukas of Wardha, Amravati, Washim, Buldana, Jalna, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Thane finally connecting six-lane Western Corridor connecting ports. It will have 23 nodes or prosperity hubs where truck terminus, commercial use, knowledge city, IT industries, manufacturing units where huge employment and economic activity will come up, Fadnavis said.
The six-lane super communication highway, connecting the entire breadth of Maharashtra, would require 9000 hectares of land. There will be 24 interchanges along the super-fast access controlled road which will be built across ten districts.

Third guest speaker was gave insight on the areas related to skill development of our country. He also mentioned about how culture attribute can help in betterment of not just one individual but also overall organization growth and development. He also focused in providing opportunities to the rural area resident and how it is important to provide them with such opportunities and resources they are familiar and used to.

American James Allison and Japan’s Tasuku Honjo have won the 2018 Nobel Prize in Medicine for a pioneering approach to cancer treatment.
The Nobel committee said the pair’s research – which harnesses the body’s immune system to attack cancer cells – amounted to a “landmark in our fight against cancer.” Their approach, known as immune checkpoint theory, had “revolutionized cancer treatment and has fundamentally changed the way we view how cancer can be managed,” the committee said.
Professor James Allison, 70, works at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Allison, a professor at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, studied a protein that functions as a brake on the immune system. Releasing the brake allowed immune cells to attack tumors, he found. The discovery led to effective treatments.

Honjo, who has worked as a professor at Kyoto University in Japan for the past 34 years, discovered a protein on immune cells and illustrated how that too can operate as a break, though with a different action. Therapies based on his method have also proved effective in fighting cancer.
“Cancer kills millions of people every year and is one of humanity’s greatest health challenges,” the Nobel committee said on Twitter.
“By stimulating the ability of our immune system to attack tumor cells, this year’s #NobelPrize laureates have established an entirely new principle for cancer therapy.”
नागपूर : राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी यांच्या १५० व्या जयंतीचे औचित्य साधून मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालयाच्या महात्मा गांधी राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण शिक्षण परिषद हैद्राबाद या संस्थेमार्फत २६ सप्टेंबर ते २ सप्टेंबर या कालावधीत ‘नई तालीम’ या कार्यक्रमांतर्गत कार्यानुभव विषयावर आधारीत वेगवेगळे उपक्रम राबविण्यात येणार आहेत. याअंतर्गत सोमवारी (ता. १) मनपा शाळांतील इयत्ता दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी वसंत फाऊंडेशनच्या वतीने राजे रघुजी भोसले नगर भवन येथे दुग्ध व्यवसाय प्रशिक्षणाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.
यावेळी मार्गदर्शक आणि प्रशिक्षक म्हणून दुग्ध व्यवसाय तज्ज्ञ मोहन श्रीगिरीवार, वसंत फाऊंडेशनचे डॉ. अशोक बवाडे, प्रदीप भोयर, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, शिक्षण विभागाच्या समन्वयक संध्या पवार, सहायक शिक्षणाधिकारी कुसुम चापलेकर उपस्थित होते.
प्रास्ताविकातून शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार यांनी प्रशिक्षणामागील भूमिका विषद केली. आजच्या काळात दुध आणि दुग्धजन्य पदार्थांची मोठी बाजारपेठ उपलब्ध असून यात तरुणांना दुग्ध व्यवसाय करण्यास खूप वाव आहे. भविष्यातील या दुग्ध व्यवसायातील संधी लक्षात घेऊन विद्यार्थी व पालकांसाठी प्रशिक्षणाचे आयोजन केल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. नई तालीम या कार्यक्रमांतर्गत मनपाच्या निवडक शाळांमध्ये वृक्षसंवर्धन, लेखाविषयक, पाककला, सायकल, कुकर-मिक्सर दुरुस्ती, प्रथमोचार आदी विषयांवर आधारीत उपक्रम सुरू करण्यात येणार असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले.
दुग्ध व्यवसाय तज्ज्ञ मोहन श्रीगिरीवार यांनी दुध व्यवसायाबद्दल माहिती देताना या व्यवसायातून व्यवसाय करणारा करोडपती कसा बनू शकतो, याबाबत माहिती दिली. दुध कसे वापरावे, त्याचे उपयोग काय, एक गाय कशी उपयोगी आहे, दूध, शेण, गोमुत्र यातून मनुष्य कसा व्यवसाय करू शकतो, दुधातील भेसळ म्हणजे काय असते, त्याचे अपाय काय, याबाबत सविस्तर माहिती दिली. अन्य वक्त्यांनीही यावेळी पौष्टिक दुधाच्या चाचण्या काय, काय असतात, दुधाची तपासणी कशी केली जाते, याबाबत माहिती दिली.
यावेळी विद्यार्थ्यांनी विचारलेल्या प्रश्नांना तज्ज्ञांनी उत्तरे देत शंकांचे निरसन केले. प्रशिक्षण शिबिराला मनपाच्या निवडक शाळांतील दहावीचे विद्यार्थी, शिक्षक उपस्थित होते. कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन शिक्षण विभागाच्या समन्वयक संध्या पवार यांनी केले. आभार सहायक शिक्षणाधिकारी (माध्यमिक) कुसुम चापलेकर यांनी मानले.
नागपूर : महाराष्ट्रात धोबी समाजाला अनुसूचित जातीचा दर्जा मिळावा, यावर अभ्यास करण्यासाठी नेमलेल्या भांडे समितीचा अहवाल लवकरच केंद्र सरकारकडे पाठविण्यात येईल, असे आश्वासन मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी धोबी समाजाच्या शिष्टमंडळाला दिले.
आमदार डॉ. रामदास आंबटकर यांच्यासह समाजाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष बालाजी शिंदे राज्य परीट (धोबी) सेवा मंडळाचे प्रदेश मुख्य संघटक संजय भिलकर व मनीष वानखेड़े यांच्या नेतृत्वात शिष्टमंडळ मुख्यमंत्र्याना भेटले. सी. पी. एंड बेरार मध्ये मध्यप्रदेश ची राजधानी नागपूर असताना बुलढाणा आणि भंडारा जिल्ह्यातील धोबी समाज बांधवांना अनुसूचित जातीअंतर्गत आरक्षणाचा लाभ मिळत होता. सन १९६० मध्ये महाराष्ट्र राज्य अस्तित्वात आल्यानंतर धोबी समाजाचे आरक्षण रद्द करण्यात आले. या समाजाला ओबीसीचा दर्जा देण्यात आला. यामुळे समाजाला अनुसूचित जाती अंतर्गत मिळणाऱ्या सवलती मिळणे बंद झाले.१९७६ च्या अनुसूचित जाती दुरुस्ती विधेयकानुसार धोबी समाजासाठी क्षेत्राचे बंधन शिथिल करून महाराष्ट्रात धोबी समाजाला अनुसूचित जातीचा दर्जा मिळायला हवा होता.यासाठी २७ मार्च २००१ रोजी मुंबईत मोर्चा काढण्यात आला होता. परिणामी ५ सप्टेंबर २००१ रोजी तत्कालीन आमदार डॉ. दशरथ भांडे यांच्या अध्यक्षतेत धोबी समाज पुनर्विलोकन समिती गठीत करण्यात आली. २६ फेब्रुवारी २००२ रोजी समितीने राज्य शासनाकडे अहवाल सुपूर्द केला. शिफारशीसह हा अहवाल राज्य शासनाने केंद्र सरकारकडे पाठवायला हवा होता.मात्र त्याचवेळी डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर संशोधन समितीचाही अहवाल तयार करण्यात आला, ज्यात धोबी समाजाला अस्पृश्याचे निकष लागू होत नसल्याचे नोंदविले आहे. यासंदर्भात समाज बांधवानी सन २००६ आणि २०१७ मध्ये विधिमंडळावर मोर्चा काढून आपले म्हणणे मांडण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. मात्र अद्यापही निर्णय झाला नाही. अखेर आमदार डॉ. रामदास आंबटकर यांच्या पुढाकाराने समाजाच्या शिष्टमंडळाने मुख्यमंत्र्यांची भेट घेतली व म्हणणे मांडले.समाजाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष बालाजी शिंदे, प्रतिभा गवळी यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात शिष्टमंडळात विजय देसाई, प्रमोद चांदुरकर, संजय वाल्हे, अरुण मोतीकर, सुरेश तिड़के यांचा समावेश होता.
Fugitive jeweler Nirav Modi’s wealth and properties worth Rs. 637 crore in India and abroad have been seized, the Enforcement Directorate said today. High-priced jewellery, luxe apartments and bank accounts stowing hundreds of crores have been taken over by investigators, in India and four other countries including UK and New York. Nirav Modi, wanted in a Rs. 13,000 crore fraud in which fake guarantees in the name of the state-run Punjab National Bank (PNB) were used to extract overseas loans, is believed to be in the UK.
This is a rare case in which Indian agencies have seized properties abroad in a criminal investigation, said the agency. “Bringing back the proceeds of crime from a foreign jurisdiction is perhaps unique to Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi case,” said the Enforcement Directorate in a statement.
The Enforcement Directorate’s haul features exquisite diamond jewellery worth Rs. 22.69 crore brought back to India from Hong Kong in 23 shipments. The jewellery had been shipped abroad after the CBI filed the first FIR against the celebrity jeweler in January.
It had allegedly been stashed in the vault of a private company in Hong Kong on behalf of Nirav Modi. The Enforcement Directorate says it was able to persuade the company to help bring back the jewellery to India. The stock value of the jewellery was declared around Rs. 85 crores but an independent assessment brought it down to around Rs. 22.7 crores.
An apartment in London worth Euro 6.25 million or Rs. 57 crores and owned by Nirav Modi’s sister Purvi Modi has been taken over. The property, Flat no 103, Marathon House, 200 Marylebone Road, was bought in 2017 in the name of Belvedere Holdings Group – which is linked to Purvi Modi. The money used to buy the flat was stolen funds from the Punjab National Bank (PNB), said the Enforcement Directorate.
Two lavish apartments worth $29.99 million or Rs. 216 Crores in New York’s Central Park area have been seized. The apartments were bought in the name of The Ithaca Trust for $25 million and 4.99 million. The beneficiary of “The Ithaca Trust” is Ami Modi (Nirav Modi’s wife) and her children.
The money swindled from PNB, say investigators, was layered extensively and kept tied up in multiple jurisdictions like Dubai, Bahamas, USA, Singapore.
Back home, a flat in south Mumbai worth Rs. 19.5 crore in the name of Purvi Modi has been attached. The deed for the flat was signed by Neeshal Modi, her brother. Five accounts with Rs. 278 crores have been attached. These accounts belonged to Nirav Modi, Purvi Modi and their companies.
A bank account belonging to an investment company registered in British Virgin Island and owned by Purvi Modi and Maiank Mehta in Singapore, with Rs. 44 crores balance, has been taken over. During investigation it was found that most of the money was transferred to these accounts after the scam has been booked.
नागपुर : नागपुर मेट्रो ( माझी मेट्रो ) का एक अन्य अहम ट्रायल रविवार को संपन्न होने जा रहा है। रूट एडग्रेड सेक्शन के लगभग 4 किलोमीटर रूट में मेट्रो 25 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा की रफ़्तार से वर्तमान में दौड़ रही है। अगला ट्रायल 90 किलोमीटर की रफ़्तार से ट्रेन को दौड़ाने का है जिसे रविवार को अंजाम दिया जायेगा। खापरी स्टेशन से एयरपोर्ट साऊथ इन दो स्टेशनों के बीच लगभग ट्रायल को अंजाम दिया जायेगा। इस मौके पर महा मेट्रो के प्रबंध निदेशक बृजेश गुप्ता,डायरेक्टर रोलिंग एंड स्टॉक सुनील माथुर और रिसर्च एंड स्टेंडर्ड ऑर्गेनाइजेशन के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहेंगे।
बीते काफी दिनों से इस ट्रायल की तैयारियाँ शुरू थी और लगभग पिछले 10 दिनों ने आरडीएसओ के अधिकारी रूट का निरिक्षण कर रहे थे। रविवार को अगर यह ट्रायल सफल हो जाता है तो मेट्रो ट्रेन 90 की स्पीड़ से दौड़ेगी। वर्तमान में शहर की जनता 25 की स्पीड पर दौड़ रही मेट्रो ट्रेन में जॉय राईड का मज़ा ले रहे है। इस ट्रायल के बाद सीआरएस ( कमिश्नर ऑफ़ रेल सेफ़्टी) अपनी जाँच के बाद इस रूट को अधिकृत स्वीकृति देगा।
कैसे होगा ट्रायल
इस ट्रायल के लिए आरडीएसओ के डिप्टी डायरेक्टर के नेतृत्व में 12 सदस्यीय दल बीते 10 दिनों से नागपुर ही मौजूद है। इस टीम ने पटरियों के साथ ही कई तरह के आवश्यक तकनीकी निरिक्षण कर लिया है। आरडीएसओ की टीम ट्रायल रूट की पटरियों पर विशेष स्थानों पर सेंसर स्थापित करेगी। इन सेंसरों के माध्यम में मेट्रो की स्पीड,पटरियों में होने वाला कंपन इत्यादि की जाँच की जाएगी। तीन डिब्बों वाली एक ट्रेन में इस बार में 970 लोग सवार हो सकते है। इस हिसाब से ट्रेन में 63 टन का वजन का भार पड़ता है। इस भर को ट्रायल के वक्त एडजेस्ट करने के लिए रेत की करीब ढ़ाई हजार बोरियाँ रखी जाएगी।
