Shraddha Kapoor has begun shooting for the much-awaited and much delayed project, Saina Nehwal’s biopic, which will see her stepping into the heavy shoes of Saina Nehwal, the badminton champion. The movie by Amole Gupte had been in the news for the longest time and we finally have the first look of Shraddha Kapoor as Saina and it will leave you pleasantly surprised. The actor is seen sporting a jersey with a badminton in hand and a winning streak enthusiasm flaunting on her face.
This is a huge film for Shraddha who has been prepping up for the role for some time now. Taking up the challenge one day at a time, Shraddha in an earlier interview said that she is very excited for the movie. “Saina is the country’s sweetheart, a champion and a youth icon. It’s a challenging role for an actor as it requires an immense amount of transformation,” she said. Shraddha is going for a kill with the biopic and we cannot wait to see her performance as Nehwal.

Shraddha was last seen in the movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu wherein she was seen opposite Shahid Kapoor. The movie performed decently at the box office and is still enjoying a steady run. Earlier, she was seen in Stree which proved to be a BLOCKBUSTER at the box office. The 100 crore film also starred Rajkummar Rao in the lead role and was directed by Amar Kaushik.
