Nagpur cops! 4-year-old child rescued in less than 24 hours with help of WhatsApp

Nagpur: There have been numerous cases of citizens being lynched due to rumour mongering on social media but in a pleasant surprise, one good incident happened due to the use of popular messaging platform WhatsApp. In this case, a 4-year-old child was rescued by police in less than 24 hours with the help of the platform.

The child was rescued from Tumsar, Bhandara district. The child, Mihir Sidharth Jambhulkar, was playing in front of his house on November 21 but he suddenly disappeared. When Mihir’s parents realised that he was missing, they approached Yashodhara Nagar police station and lodged a police complaint. It was suspected that someone had abducted the child and fled on a bike. After the complaint was lodged, police started their investigation immediately. Yashodhara Nagar police quickly relayed all details of Mihir on social networking platform, including Mihir’s full name, photograph, age and the clothes he was wearing when he went missing. Cops also informed the details to other police stations.

Senior Police Inspector Pradeep Rayanawar told Mirror Now, “Mihir was found at Gobarwahi railway station by one passenger. The child was crying and he realised that the child might be lost. So, he informed Gobarwahi police station. After this, Gobarwahi police also informed other police stations and spread the information of Mihir to various social networking sites. One police officer of Nandanvan police station received a WhatsApp message from Gobarwahi as well as Yashodhara Nagar Police station. So, he immediately cross-checked the information and conveyed a message to Yashodhara Nagar Police station.”

A team from Yashodhara Nagar police station reached Gobarwahi, Tumsar Tehsil, Bhandara district and brought Mihir to Nagpur within 24 hours. Yashodhara Nagar police have registered a case under IPC 363 and an investigation is going on regarding how the child got to the railway station.

Nagpur : Workers Congress takes trial of Ramjhula Phase-2

Nagpur : The activists of Unorganised Workers Congress on Thursday did a trial of Ramjhula Phase-2, which has been completed some two months back but not dedicated to public use so far. Acting on the directives of City Congress Committee chief Vikas Thakre, Unorganised Workers Congress chief Yugal Vidavat and city secretary Anand Tiwari led the activists from one end of the bridge to another and took trial of the newly constructed Ramjhula Phase-2.

Vidavat alleged that the Public Works Department has removed all machines after the work of the bridge was completed. However, its opening for general public was deliberately being delayed on political pressure from the ruling party. Vidavat said that the MMDC completed road works in just two days to facilitate the ongoing Indian Road Congress as VVIPs were to be transported to Mankapur Indoor Stadium. However, Ramjhula was not opened to public even after fourth months of its completion. This was creating huge traffic chaos at Jaistambh Chowk for hours every day.

Vidavat said that they submitted memorandum to MMDC on many occasions requesting public dedication of the bridge but every time it was delayed citing one or the other reason. He said the works done for public needed no inauguration. He warned that if the administration failed to open the bridge by 30 November, the Congress Committee will perform the rituals to dedicate the bridge to public.

Anand Tiwari said that while on one hand Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was holding Indian Road Congress, on the other he was stopping general people from using the Ramjhula that was ready to use. Also present during the agitation were Dhiraj Pandey, Ajit Singh, Durgaprasad Lahori, Nilima Dupare, Tausif Jamai, Vinod Afrel, Irshad Sheikh, Fardeen Khan, Sonu Trivedi, Shahnawaz Khan, Satish Shriwas, Ajju Khan, Hemant Gedam and others.

नागपूर : विश्व हिंदु परिषदेतर्फे रविवारी (ता. २५) हनुमाननगर येथील ईश्वर देशमुख शारीरिक शिक्षण महाविद्यालयामध्ये हुंकार सभेचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. या सभेनिमित्त कायदा व सुरक्षेच्या दृष्टीने सक्करदरा येथील बुधवार बाजार रविवारी (ता. २५) बंद ठेवण्यात येणार आहे.

रविवारी (ता. २५) विश्व हिंदु परिषदेच्या वतीने ईश्वर देशमुख शारीरिक शिक्षण महाविद्यालयामध्ये विशाल हुंकार सभेचे दुपारी ३ ते सायंकाळी ६ वाजतादरम्यान आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. या सभेकरिता नागपूर शहर व संपूर्ण राज्यातून लाखोच्यावर जनसमुदाय येण्याची शक्यता वर्तविण्यात आली आहे. सभेसाठी सकाळपासूनच या परिसरात नागरिकांची गर्दी होण्याचीही शक्यता आहे.

येणारा जनसमुदाय लक्षात घेता कार्यक्रमादरम्यान कोणताही अनुचित प्रकार घडू यासाठी कार्यक्रम स्थळाच्या परिसरात मोकळी जागा असणे आवश्यक आहे. त्या दृष्टीने ईश्वर देशमुख शारीरिक शिक्षण महाविद्यालयालगत भरणारा बुधवार बाजार हुंकार सभेच्या दिवशी बंद ठेवण्यात यावे, असे आदेश पोलिस विभागाच्या वतीने देण्यात आले आहे. या आदेशावर नागरिकांनी सहकार्य करून सक्करदरा येथील बुधवार बाजार बंद ठेवण्याचे आवाहन नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे करण्यात आले आहे.

नागपूर : आज कचऱ्याची समस्या विकासामध्ये अडथळा निर्माण करीत आहे. मात्र या कचऱ्याचे योग्य संकलन व योग्य विल्हेवाट लावल्यास त्यामधूनही विकास साधता येऊ शकतो. केंद्र सरकारने स्वच्छतेला प्राधान्य देत स्वच्छ भारत मिशन सुरू केले. त्यामुळे प्रत्येकाने स्वच्छता ही आपली जबाबदारी समजणे आवश्यक आहे. कचऱ्याच्या समस्येवर मात करण्यासाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे ओला व सुका कचरा विलगीकरण प्रक्रियेला सुरुवात करण्यात आली आहे. घरा घरातील कचरा संकलीत करताना एक दिवस फक्त ओला व एक दिवस फक्त सुका कचरा संकलीत केला जावा. यासाठी नागरिकांनी पुढाकार घ्यावा, असे आवाहन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.

स्वच्छ भारत मिशन २०१९ अंतर्गत शुक्रवारी (ता. २३) लक्ष्मी नगर झोनमधील प्रभाग ३७ येथील अत्रे लेआउट जगदंबा मंदिर परिसरात ‘कचरा विलगीकरण करण्याबाबत जनजागृती‘ कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला. यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार बोलत होत्या.

कार्यक्रमाला लक्ष्मी नगर झोन सभापती प्रकाश भोयर, शिक्षण समिती सभापती दिलीप दिवे, क्रीडा समिती उपसभापती प्रमोद तभाने, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, आरोग्य अधिकारी डॉ. सुनील कांबळे, लक्ष्मी नगर झोनच्या सहायक आयुक्त सुवर्णा दखणे, विभागीय अधिकारी रामभाऊ तिडके, सेंट्रल फॉर सस्टेनेबल डेव्हलपमेंट संस्थेच्या लीना बुधे, स्वास्थ्य निरीक्षक ऋषिकेश इंगळे, प्रकाश वाकलकर, राजेश भुजाडे आदी उपस्थित होते.

‌यावेळी उपस्थित पदाधिकारी, अधिकारी व नागरिकांनी ओला व सुका कचरा विलगीकरण करणे व स्वच्छतेबाबत शपथ घेतली. पुढे बोलताना महापौर म्हणाल्या, कचऱ्याच्या समस्येवर मात करण्यासाठी नागरिकांमध्ये जनजागृती होणे महत्त्वाचेआहे. कचऱ्याचे योग्य विलगीकरण करण्यात आल्यास त्यावरील प्रक्रियेतील अडथळे दूर करता येऊ शकतात. यासाठी प्रत्येक घरातील नागरिकांनी पुढाकार घेऊन ही जबाबदारी स्वीकारणे गरजेचे आहे, असेही महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या.

‌मनपाच्या सफाई कर्मचाऱ्यांकडून एकाच गाडीमध्ये ओला व सुका कचरा संकलीत केला जातो. त्यामुळे तो कचरा पुन्हा मिश्रीत होतोच. यावर उपाय म्हणून एक दिवस फक्त ओला कचरा व एक दिवस फक्त सुका कचरा संकलीत करण्याची संकल्पना यावेळी परिसरातील नागरिकांनी मांडली. यावर महापौरांनी सकारात्मक प्रतिसाद दर्शवित यासाठी प्रत्येक नागरिकांनी पुढाकार घेऊन ही संकल्पना यशस्वी करण्याचे आवाहन केले.‌ याप्रसंगी परिसरातील नागरिक मोठ्या संख्येत उपस्थित होते.

आदिवासी गोवारी स्मारकास केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्यासह महापौर, उपमहापौरांनी केले अभिवादन

नागपूर : शासनदरबारी आपल्या मागण्या मांडण्यासाठी आलेल्या गोवारी बांधवांसोबत झालेल्या दुर्घटनेमध्ये शहिद झालेल्या ११४ गोवारी बांधवांना शुक्रवारी (ता. २३) केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्यासह महापौर नंदा जिचकार, उपमहापौर दीपराज पार्डीकर, आमदार सुधाकर कोहळे, सुधाकर देशमुख, गिरीश व्यास, डॉ. मिलींद माने यांनी अभिवादन केले. यावेळी मान्यवरांनी झिरो माईल येथील शहिद आदिवासी गोवारी स्मारकाला पुष्पचक्र अर्पण करून श्रद्धांजली वाहिली.

२३ नोव्हेंबर १९९४ रोजी आपल्या न्याय मागण्यांसाठी हजारो गोवारी बांधवांनी भव्य मोर्चा काढला होता. मात्र यावेळी चेंगराचेंगरीची दुर्घटना घडली व घटनेमध्ये ११४ आदिवासी गोवारी बांधव शहिद झाले. समाजाच्या मागण्यांसाठी जीव अर्पण करणाऱ्या सर्व शहिद बांधवांच्या स्मारकाला पुष्पचक्र अर्पण करून यावेळी मान्यवरांनी अभिवादन केले.

यावेळी कर संकलन समिती सभापती संदीप जाधव, स्थापत्य समिती सभापती संजय बंगाले, माजी महापौर अर्चना डेहनकर, नगरसेवक सुनील हिरणवार, भोजराज डूंबे, चंदन गोसावी, रमेश वानखेडे यांच्यासह मोठ्या संख्येत नागरिक उपस्थित होते.

नागपूर : देशात मोठ्या प्रमाणात रस्त्यांचे जाळे तयार केले जात आहे. मात्र, ज्या ‘डीपीआर’ (डिटेल प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट) नुसार हे रस्ते केले जात आहेत, त्या डीपीआरमध्येच प्रचंड चुका असतात. घरी बसून अभियंते डीपीआर तयार करतात, अशा शब्दांत कानउघाडणी करत केंद्रीय भूपृष्ठ परिवहन व जहाजबांधणी मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी रोड इंजिनिअरिंगच्या चुकांमुळेच रस्त्यांवर मृत्यू होत असल्याचं विधान केलं. मानकापूर येथील विभागीय क्रीडा संकुल येथे इंडियन रोड काँग्रेसच्या ७९ व्या अधिवेशनाचे उद्घाटन केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी, मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या उपस्थितीत शुक्रवारी करण्यात आलं.

नागपुरात चौथ्यांदा होत असलेल्या या अधिवेशनात देश-विदेशातील तज्ज्ञ सहभागी झाले आहेत. महसूलमंत्री चंद्रकांत पाटील, ऊर्जामंत्री व नागपूर जिल्ह्याचे पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे आदी यावेळी उपस्थित होते. यावेळी स्मरणिका आणि आयआरसीच्या विविध जर्नल्स व कोड सलग्नित पुस्तकांचं प्रकाशन करण्यात आलं. रोड इंजिनिअरिंगमध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात चुका असतात. वळण बरोबर न घेणे, झाडांच्या फांद्या वाहतुकीच्या आड येणे यांसारखे अनेक दोष यात आढळून येतात. रस्ते सुरक्षा या विषयावर गांभीर्याने विचार करण्याची गरज आहे. उच्च न्यायालयानंही याची दखल घेतली आहे. ३ लाख लोक या रस्ते अपघातामुळं दिव्यांग झाल्याचं वास्तव आहे. अपघात सापडलेल्या ५० टक्के लोकांचे जीव वाचविण्यात आपल्याला अपयश आलं. एकाच जागी शेकडो अपघात होतात, याकडे गडकरी यांनी लक्ष वेधलं.

एक वळण चुकले म्हणून १५० लोकांचा मृत्यू झाल्याची घटना या देशात घडली. रस्ते अपघातात मृत्यूमुखी पडणाऱ्यांची सर्वाधिक संख्या भारतात आहे. ५ लाख अपघातात दीड लाख लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला. यात १८ ते ३५ वयोगटातील युवकांची संख्या ६५ टक्के आहे. भारतातील या भयावह वास्तवामुळे आमची मान खाली जात असल्याचे गडकरी म्हणाले.

२४ नोव्हेंबरला आयआरसी जर्नल्समध्ये प्रकाशित झालेल्या विविध शोधपत्रांचे सादरीकरण अधिवेशनात सहभागी झालेले तज्ज्ञ करतील. सकाळी ११ ते सायंकाळी ६ वाजेपर्यंत एकूण सात तांत्रिक सत्रे या दिवशी आयोजित करण्यात आली आहेत. २५ नोव्हेंबरला २१७ वी कौन्सिल बैठक आयोजित करण्यात आली असून, त्यानंतर अधिवेशनाचा औपचारिक समारोप करण्यात येईल. याशिवाय सर्वसामान्य जनतेला तांत्रिक प्रदर्शन बघण्यासाठी खुले राहणार आहे. दिवसभराच्या तांत्रिक चर्चासत्रानंतर त्यांच्या मनोरंजनासाठी सायंकाळी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमही सादर करण्यात येणार आहेत. शनिवारी सायंकाळी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमांतर्गत ज्येष्ठ गायक सुरेश वाडकर आणि साधना सरगम यांच्यासह प्रसिद्ध विनोदी अभिनेते राजू श्रीवास्तव यांच्या मनोरंजनात्मक कार्यक्रमाचं आयोजन करण्यात आलं आहे.

Maha Metro to setup coach factory in Wardha District

Nagpur : The Maha Metro has decided to manufacture coaches for Pune Metro at its own coach factory, which is being established at Sindi Railway in Wardha district. The project will be completed in three phases and the first phase work of making DPR with a cost of Rs 300 Crore is nearing its completion.

The Pune Metro will be needing 102 coaches, out of which 75% coaches will be manufactured by Maha Metro in its own factory. The coach factory will be adjoining the JNPT Dry Port. The Maha Metro wants JNPT to join the project as equity partner. If this happens, then Metro will get 50 acres of land without any cost.

The factory will be established in three phases of one DPR each. The total cost of the project will be Rs 600 crore. The first phase will involve assembling; manufacturing will be done in the second phase; while the factory will be completed with raw material works in the third phase.

Executive Manager (Rolling & Stock) of Nagpur Metro Janak Kumar Garg said that the factory will provide job opportunities to many people. Other companies will also establish sub-units in the region. He informed that the factory will be established on PPP model. Along with Maha Metro; JNPT, the State government and private parties will be participating in the project. They will invest in the project and share profit.

Maharashtra government bats for e-vehicles in reserves

NAGPUR: The state government on Thursday asked the tiger reserves to promote electric vehicles for safari in parks. Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) is the only park using one such vehicle. The government has said that in years to come, electric vehicles will create a revolution to shed dependence on fuel and will also support environment by
reducing carbon emissions

The United Nations Organization (UNO) also plans to promote electric vehicles on a large-scale by 2030. Taking cue from this, the government of India too has vowed to convert the country into ‘electric vehicle nation’. The government launched the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020 in 2013. It aims to national fuel security by promoting hybrid and electric vehicles in the country.

here is an ambitious target to achieve 6-7 million sales of hybrid and electric vehicles from 2020 and reduce carbon emissions by 40 lakh tonne. The state too has launched Maharashtra Electric Vehicle Promotion Policy-2018.

Accordingly, all the tiger reserves been told to promote RTO-registered electric vehicles for safari in parks. The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) too on October 15, 2012 had issued guidelines in this regard.

The state has asked officials to register such electric vehicles in parks where less number of gypsies have been registered than the park’s carrying capacity. “Preference should be given to locals who have been relocated from the tiger reserves,” says the circular.

The park managers have also been told to consider giving 50% concession in entry fee to such vehicles over traditional gypsies. According to TATR field director NR Praveen,in Tadoba, one electric vehicle donated by a resort owner in Kolara to Bamangaon eco-developmentcommittee (EDC) in operation.

During trials in Tadoba in September, it was found that even after running for 4 hours in forest, 20% battery was still in balance. It also as a reserve capacity and when the vehicle reaches reserve stage it has to be charged for eight hours or else the battery gets recharged in three hours.

The vehicle is similar like gypsy and can comfortably accommodate six persons. However, officials said the flip side is that department won’t procure the vehicle as a customized electric vehicle costs Rs14 lakh.

Youth killed, girl injured due to electrocution in nagpur

Nagpur : “Building high quality roads at low cost with the help of innovative steps is the mission for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways,” said Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways here on Thursday as he inaugurated the technical exhibition of 79th annual conference of Indian Road Congress (IRC) at Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur.

Gadkari appealed to researchers and experts to contribute for quality construction with minimal expenses to tide over the challenge of budget limitation.

“Budget limitation is a big challenge before all development works. Researchers and experts should come forward and contribute in this area,” said Gadkari.

Nagpur : “Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) has completed acquisition of 92 per cent of the total land required for the ambitious Samruddhi Mahamarg project,” said Chandrashekhar Joshi, Secretary (Road), PWD during a press conference.

Joshi is in the city to attend the 79th Annual Conference of IRC in Nagpur. “For the project, a total of 10,000 hectares of land in 10 districts has been acquired in last eight months with the efforts of all district collectors,” he added. The project is divided in 16 parts through Engineering, Procurement and Construction agreement (EPC) and the Letter of Authorisation (LOA) also issued to all 16 contractors, Joshi informed the media.

“The department is working to resolve the land acquisition dispute with remaining land owners and if required we will use the Land Acquisition Act 2013,” he added. According to Joshi, “Farmers have given a wonderful response to the land acquisition for the ambitious project. Government is providing jobs and land to project affected farmers.”

MSRDC has already received all permissions required including Environment Clearance. Samruddhi Mahamarga has 450 under and over passes that include forest and agriculture corridors. The project cost is estimated to be Rs 46,000 crore, which includes Rs 10,000 crore for land acquisition, Rs 26,138 crore for engineering works, Rs 2,590 crore as a provision to accommodate possibility of cost escalation, Rs 6,427 crore for payment of interest on borrowings and expenditure on financial institutions etc.

मराठा समाजाला न्यायालयात टिकणारे आरक्षण देणार – मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस

मुंबई : मराठा समाजाला राज्य सरकारकडून देण्यात येणाऱ्या आरक्षणासाठी भविष्यात न्यायालयात लढावे लागेल हे गृहित धरुनच या कायद्याची मजबूत रचना करण्यात आली आहे. याच अधिवेशनात या आरक्षणाचे विधेयक मांडण्यात येणार असल्याचे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी विधानसभेतील चर्चेदरम्यान सांगितले.

आरक्षणाच्या निर्णयाविषयी अधिक माहिती देताना मुख्यमंत्री म्हणाले, कायद्यानुसार मागासवर्ग आयोगाच्या अहवालातील शिफारशींबाबत राज्य सरकार निर्णय घेईल. या निर्णयानंतर राज्य सरकार दरवर्षी वार्षिक अहवाल प्रसिद्ध करेल, त्यामध्ये स्वीकारलेल्या आणि नाकारलेल्या शिफारशींबाबत सकारण माहिती देईल. ॲडव्होकेट जनरल आणि इतर कायदेतज्ज्ञांशी चर्चा करून आयोगाच्या सर्व शिफारशी स्वीकारण्यात आल्या आहेत. कायद्यानुसार अहवालावर नव्हे तर अहवालात देण्यात आलेल्या शिफारशींवर मंत्रिमंडळाला निर्णय घ्यावा लागतो. त्यानुसार या शिफारशी स्वीकारल्याचे आम्ही न्यायालयाला सांगितले.

एखाद्या समाजाला आरक्षण आवश्यक असल्याचे साक्षांकित करण्याचा अधिकार केवळ मागासवर्ग आयोगाला आहे. त्यामुळे एका समितीच्या अहवालानुसार मागील सरकारने काढलेला मराठा आरक्षणाचा अध्यादेश न्यायालयाकडून रद्द करण्यात आला. राज्य मागासवर्ग आयोगाने सध्या असामान्य परिस्थिती असल्याचे नमूद केल्याने याच सभागृहात आपण मराठा समाजाला आरक्षण देणार असल्याचा पुनरुच्चारही मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी यावेळी केला.

पन्नास टक्क्यांपेक्षा अधिक आरक्षण देण्यासंदर्भात तामिळनाडूनंतर कर्नाटक राज्याने देखील निर्णय घेतला आहे. याविषयी सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात न्यायनिवाडा सुरू असला तरी न्यायालयाने त्यास स्थगिती दिलेली नाही, असे स्पष्ट करून श्री. फडणवीस पुढे म्हणाले, एखाद्या समाजाला आरक्षण देण्यासंदर्भात संविधानात कोणतीही मर्यादा नसली तरी आरक्षणासंदर्भात सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने दिलेल्या एका न्यायनिर्णयानुसार 50 टक्क्यांची मर्यादा घालण्यात आली आहे. भारतात विविध संस्कृती, समाज आणि त्यांचे विविध प्रश्न आहेत. त्यामुळे देशात असामान्य परिस्थिती निर्माण झाल्यास या मर्यादेपेक्षा जास्त आरक्षण देता येऊ शकते असे त्याच निर्णयात न्यायालयाने म्हटले आहे.

सर्व मागास समाजाला न्याय मिळण्यासाठी 50 टक्क्यांची मर्यादा वाढविण्यासंदर्भात संसदेमार्फत कायदा करण्याचा मुद्दा योग्य असून संसदही एकमताने असा कायदा करेल. मात्र, त्याला काही कालावधी लागण्याची शक्यता असल्याने तोपर्यंत मराठा समाजाला आरक्षण देणे थांबवता येणार नाही. संसदेने तसा निर्णय घेतल्यास आपण त्याप्रमाणे आपल्या कायद्यात बदल करू शकतो. मात्र, सध्या असलेल्या 52 टक्क्यांच्या आरक्षणाला संरक्षित करावेच लागणार आहे. त्यामुळे या आरक्षणात मराठा समाजाचा समावेश करणार नसून त्यांना स्वतंत्र प्रवर्गात आरक्षण देण्यात येणार आहे.

आदिवासींना देण्यात आलेल्या वनजमिनींच्या निर्णयासंदर्भात माहिती देताना मुख्यमंत्री म्हणाले, एकाच जिल्ह्यातील 32 हजार दावे निकाली काढण्यात आले आहेत. वनपट्टे देण्यासंदर्भात 2005 मध्ये कायदा करण्यात आला असून 2005 नंतरच्या दाव्यांसंदर्भात आक्षेप घेण्यात आले आहेत. केवळ तेच दावे प्रलंबित आहेत. निकाली काढण्यात आलेल्या दाव्यांमध्ये काही त्रुटी राहिल्याचा दुसरा आक्षेप आहे. त्यामध्ये आदिवासींकडे असणाऱ्या जमिनींपेक्षा कमी जमिनी वन विभागाकडून देण्यात आल्याची मुख्य बाब आहे. त्यामुळे पाच हेक्टरच्या मर्यादेत आदिवासींकडे असणारी सगळी जमीन देण्याची मागणी आहे. त्यामध्ये काही तथ्य असल्याचे आढळून आले असून संबंधित आदिवासींच्या प्रकरणांतील त्रुटी दूर करून त्यांना संपूर्ण जमीन देण्याचे आदेश देण्यात आले आहेत.

Women’s Boxing World Championships: Mary Kom in Final, Will Fight For Historic 6th World Boxing Gold

New Delhi : Five-time world champion MC Mary Kom edged closer to a historic sixth gold when she beat North Korea’s Kim Hyang Mi in the semi-finals of the women’s 48 kg light flyweight category in the AIBA Women’s World Championships in New Delhi on Thursday. Mary Kom, who won the bout through a unanimous decision, will meet Hanna Okhota of Ukraine in the final. The 35-year-old boxer had previously won the gold medal in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 editions of the Championships. Apart from this, she had also won the silver medal on her debut in 2001.

Mary Kom, who is still tied with Katie Taylor of Ireland on five gold medals, has an opportunity to become the most successful women’s boxer if she beats Hanna Okhota in the final. Mary Kom will also aim to win her second gold in front of the home crowd.

Later in the day, youngster Lovlina Borgohain will be up against Chinese Taipei’s Chen Nien-Chin in the semi-finals of the women’s 69 kg welterweight category.

This is the second time India are hosting the championships. The last time they hosted the Boxing Worlds, they topped the medal tally with eight medals (4 gold, one silver, and three bronze).

The 10-member Indian team, a mix of seasoned and young boxers, is expected to win at least three medals, including a gold.

इन कंपनियों में एलआईसी, आईसीआईसीआई प्रुडेंशियल लाइफ, रियालंस लाइफ, मैक्स लाइफ इंश्योरेंस, एचडीएफसी लाइफ, टाटा एआईए, एसबीआई लाइफ, आदित्य बिड़ला सन लाइफ, कैनरा एचएसबीसी लाइफ इंश्योरेंस, श्री राम लाइफ और स्टार हेल्थ समेत अन्य कई बीमा कंपनियां शामिल हैं. पेटीएम के मुख्य परिचालन अधिकारी किरण वासी रेड्डी ने कहा कि हमारे देश में बीमा प्रीमियम का भुगतान ज्यादातर ऑफलाइन मोड से ही किया जाता है.

नागपूर – भारतात तस्करीच्या माध्यमातून सडलेली निकृष्ट सुपारी पाठवल्याप्रकरणी श्रीलंकेचा माजी क्रिकेट कर्णधार सनत जयसूर्या चे नाव समोर आले आहे. त्याच्यासह आणखी दोन क्रिकेटपटूंचाही या गोरखधंद्यात समावेश असल्याचे सांगितले जात आहे. मात्र, अद्याप त्यांची नावे समोर आलेली नाहीत.

डायरेक्टर ऑफ रेव्हेन्यू इंटेलिजन्सने नागपुरात कोट्यवधी रुपयांची सडकी सुपारी जप्त केली होती. या प्रकरणात अटकेतील एका व्यापाऱ्याच्या चौकशीत जयसूर्याचे नाव समोर आले. पथकाने जयसूर्याला मुंबईला बोलावून चौकशी केली. पुढील कायदेशीर कारवाईसाठी श्रीलंका सरकारला पत्र पाठवण्यात आले आहे. सूत्रांनुसार, इतर दोन क्रिकेटपटूंना २ डिसेंबरपर्यंत चौकशीसाठी बोलावण्याची तयारी आहे. रेव्हेन्यू इंटेलिजन्सचे उपसंचालक दिलीप सिवारे यांनी सांगितले की, ही सुपारी इंडोनेशियाहून आधी श्रीलंका आणि नंतर तस्करीद्वारे भारतात पाठवण्यात आली होती.

थेट इंडोनेशियाहून सुपारी आयात केल्यास १०८ आयात शुल्क द्यावे लागते. साऊथ एशिया फ्री ट्रेड एरिया (सपता) अंतर्गत श्रीलंकेत आयात शुल्क पूर्णपणे माफ आहे. याचा फायदा सुपारी तस्करीसाठी घेतला जात आहे. नागपुरातील व्यापाऱ्यांना सडकी सुपारी आयातीचा सर्वाधिक फायदा होतो. ही सडकी श्रीलंकेतील व्यापारी सुपारी भारतीय व्यापाऱ्यांना एकूण २५ टक्के दरातच देतात. म्हणजेच १०० कोटींची सुपारी २५ कोटींत घेऊन ती देशातील विविध भागांत सल्फरच्या भट्टीत भाजून चांगल्या सुपारीत मिसळवली जाते.

नागपुर शहर सडक्या व कच्च्या सुपारीच्या धंद्याचे मोठे केंद्र बनले आहे. १०० कोटींपेक्षा जास्त रकमेचा व्यवसाय नागपुरातूनच होतो. याची अनेक कारणे सांगितली जातात. नागपूर हे रस्ते व रेल्वेमार्गाने जुळलेले असल्याने येथे सहजपणे माल पोहोचतो. सुपारीचे मोठे साठे आशियाई देशांतून आणले आसामपर्यंत पोहोचवले जातात. आसाममध्ये सुपारीचा मोठा व्यवसाय आहे. तेथे अनेक डमी कंपन्या असून तेथील उत्पादनाची पक्की बिले तयार करून देशभरात पाठवली जातात. तेथून मोठ्या प्रमाणात नागपुरला सुपारी येते.

सूत्रांनी सांगितले की, खेळाडूंनी आपले वजन वापरून सरकारकडून सुपारी व्यापाराचे परवाने मिळवले. यानंतर डमी कंपन्या स्थापल्या. या कंपन्यांनी उत्पादनाची खोटी प्रमाणपत्रे तयार केली. इंडोनेशियातून आणलेल्या सुपारीचे उत्पादन श्रीलंकेचे दाखवले. या माध्यमातून आयात करचाेरी झाली. रेव्हेन्यू इंटेलिजन्सच्या नागपुरातील छाप्यानंतर हा प्रकार उघडकीस आला. नागपुरात प्रकाश गोयल नावाच्या एका व्यापाऱ्याचे गाेदाम सील करण्यात आले आहे. त्याच्याविरुद्ध अजामीनपात्र वॉरंट जारी करण्यात आले आहे. याआधी मुंबईच्या फारुख खुरानी या व्यापाऱ्याला पकडण्यात आले होते.

50% ATMs In India May Shut Down By March Next Year!

New Delhi: About 50% of the ATMs in the country will become commercially unviable because of changes in the regulatory requirements. The new regulations may lead to the closure of early half of the total 2.38 lakh ATMs in the country by March 2019, report citing Confederation of ATM Industry (CATMi).

The closure of this many ATMs will not only impact thousands of jobs and the financial inclusion efforts of the government but can also lead to cash shortage and long queues at ATMs just like during demonetisation in 2017. The report quoted CATMi saying in their statement, “Service providers may be forced to close down almost 1.13 lakh ATMs across the country by March 2019. These numbers include approximately one lakh off-site ATMs and a little over 15,000 white label ATMs”.

CATMi further said that the industry has reached a “tipping point”. Most of the ATMs which might be shut down will be in the non-urban areas which can impact the financial inclusion efforts since the beneficiaries use the ATMs to withdraw their government subsidies, the report further added. The industry body mentioned that recent regulatory changes, both hardware as well as software upgrades, coupled with mandates on cash management standards and the cassette swap method of loading cash, will make 50% of the ATMs operations unviable and this will lead to closure.

It may be noted that the new cash logistics and cassette swap method alone will result in costs of Rs 3,000 crore for the industry, the news agency report stated. CATMi statement also said that the ATM industry, including managed service providers, brown-label ATM deployers as well as white label ATM operators (WLAO), are still not over the demonetisation shock of 2017.

The agency further quoted the industry body saying, “The situation has further deteriorated now due to the additional compliance requirements that call for a huge cost outlay. The service providers do not have the financial means to meet such massive costs and may be forced to shut down these ATMs.” According to the body, the only solution to this problem is if banks “step in to bear the load of the additional cost of compliances”.

If ATM deployers are not compensated by banks for making these investments, the deployers are likely to surrender the contracts which might lead to the closure of ATMs on a large scale.

Worth mentioning here is that the revenues for providing ATMs services are not growing at all due because of extremely low ATM interchange charges and increasing costs. These changes are not anticipated when deployers sign the contracts with banks. The statement also revealed about 15,000 ATMs run by WLAOs can be shut down as they have accumulated losses.

Patanjali’s Sales Down First Time In Five Years

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved Ltd has faced a major setback for the first time in five years. The reason: Goods and Services Tax and its weak distribution network. Patanjali’s consumer goods business, which is the backbone of Patanjali’s overall empire, saw a decline of over 10 per cent in revenue at Rs 8,148 crore in FY18 as compared to FY17. Its profit saw over 50 per cent decline in FY18 at Rs 528.9 crore compared to the preceding year.

Patanjali’s fast-moving consumer goods sales accounted for Rs 9,019.3 crore in FY17, which is more than double of FY16 (Rs 4,383 crore). The company’s profit after tax was Rs 1,190.4 crore in FY17, and Rs 772.6 crore a year earlier.

Patanjali’s growth trajectory took a hit after the central government rolled out the GST in July 2017. Its fiercest competitors, global FMCG companies like HUL Ltd and ITC Ltd, overcame the GST shock sooner due to their use of cutting-edge technology. But Patanjali lagged behind. It failed to set up a compatible GST-related inventory and invoicing management system in a timely manner. That caused big problems in the supply-demand system, which led to a big revenue fall.

Patanjali has blamed distributors for being slow in adapting to the new tax regime. It said distributors’ failure to adapt to the new tax regime caused disruption in the supply system. Experts also believe the company has failed to expand its base of exclusive partners like its competitors, though it is trying hard to add new partners now.

The GST shock caused big inventory mismatch, which forced its distributors from stocking Patanjali products. Apart from its network of 5 lakh franchise stores, Patanjali products are sold across all online platforms, including Amazon, and big offline retail platforms like Big Bazaar. The company is now fixing its supply-demand mismatch by improving its technology-based solutions. Nearly 90 per cent of small outlets that sell Patanjali items have a scarcity of its products, the report claimed. It also quoted Patanjali spokesperson SK Tijarawala saying it is integrating technology to ensure stock matches demand.

नागपूर : हिंगणा मार्गावर एमएच-२३-एफ-५८६७ या क्रमांकाची भरधाव कार विजेच्या खांबावर आदळून चालक ठार तर तिघे जखमी झालेत. या घटनेत महिला डॉक्टर थोडक्यात बचावली. ही घटना बुधवारी पहाटे ३ वाजताच्या सुमारास घडली. सनी देविदास करोसिया, असे मृतकाचे, तर सौरभ गादेकर, शुभम व अन्य एक अशी जखमींची नावे आहेत. चार जण कारने जात होते. कारचा वेग १०० किमी होता.

कार अनियंत्रित झाली. यावेळी महिला डॉक्टर घरी जात होती. ती थोडक्यात बचावली. कार विजेच्या खांबावर आदळून झाडावर धडकली. चक्काचूर झाली. सनी हा कारमध्ये फसला. महिला डॉक्टरने नागरिकांच्या मदतीने सनीला बाहेर काढले. तो मृत होता. याप्रकरणी प्रतापनगर पोलिसांनी प्राणांतिक अपघाताचा गुन्हा दाखल करून तपास सुरू केला आहे.

Stage set for IRC’s annual conference in Nagpur

Nagpur : The stage is set for a mega event of 79th annual conference of Indian Roads Congress (IRC) in Nagpur at Mankapur Sports Stadium from November 22 to 25.

Crime Branch busted Sex den in Swan salon at Gokulpeth

Nagpur: The social security branch (SSB) of crime branch has on Wednesday raided a sex den being run in plush Swan Salon in Gokulpeth area here and arrested two people including a woman involved in the trade. Cops have also rescued two girls from the spot. The arrested accused include Shalini Laxman Kamble, 36, resident of Mahesh Nagar in Mankapur, and Tushar Kanhaiya Paraswani, 24, resident of Mahesh Nagar near Itwari railway station here.

The police received a tip off that the sex racket was being run in Swan unisex family salon located in Lotus building at Gokulpeth. Cops sent a dummy customer at the salon where he inquired about girls. As the operators gained trust over him, the three girls were brought to the hall. The punter immediately alerted the police who then raided the place.A case under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) has been registered against Shalini and Tushar at Ambazari police station.

The operation was carried out as per the directives of DCP Sambhaji Kadam and ACP Sanjeev Kamble. The raiding team included inspector Vikram Gound, Meena Jagtap, PSI Smita Sonawani, ASI Damodar Rajurkar, Subash Khedkar, photographer Baliram Revatkar, Head Constable Sheetlaprasad Mishra, Sanjay Pandey, Manoj Chavan, constable Prahlad Dole, Surekha Sandekar, Chhaaya Raut and Sadhana Chavan. The team conducted raid in present of social worker Vijayarani Reddy and Nisha More.

नागपुरात रेल्वेत सापडली जिवंत काडतुसे

नागपूर : लष्करी जवानांना सोडून परत आलेल्या एका विशेष गाडीत जवळपास ४५० जिवंत काडतुसे सापडल्याने रेल्वेस्थानकावर खळबळ उडाली. ही घटना बुधवारी दुपारी उघडकीस आली.

लष्करी जवानांना घेऊन एक विशेष गाडी लखनौ ते विजयवाडा अशी गेली होती. मंगळवारी या गाडीतील जवान विजयवाड्याला उतरले. त्यानंतर ही विशेष गाडी बुधवारी सकाळी देखभालीसाठी अजनी यार्डात गेली. येथील काम आटोपल्यावर ही गाडी नागपूर स्थानकावरील यार्डात आली. तेथे गाडी स्वच्छ करीत असताना सफाई कर्मचाऱ्याला बर्थखाली एक हिरव्या रंगाची पेटी आढळली. त्याने लगेच आरपीएफला याबाबत माहिती दिली. त्यामुळे आरपीएफने तेथे धाव घेतली. ते पेटी ठाण्यात आणून उघडली असता त्यात ४५० जिवंत काडतुसे पाहून खळबळ उडाली.

चौकशीत ही गाडी लष्करी जवानांना पोहोचविण्यासाठी ही गाडी विजयवाड्याला गेली होती. ही गाडी तेथून परत आलेली असल्याचे कळल्यावर या जवानांपैकीच कुणाची तरी ही काडतुसे असावी, अशी शक्यता आहे. आरपीएफने पंचनामा करून ही काडतुसे पुढील कार्यवाहीसाठी लोहमार्ग पोलिसांच्या ताब्यात दिली. आता लोहमार्गचे सहायक पोलिस निरीक्षक शेख या प्रकरणाचा तपास करीत आहेत.

Nagpur: Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm across the city. Many organisations took out processions, some provided langar and water service for the devotees while some conducted felicitation programme in the city.

On the occasion, City police chief Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay felicitated artist Haji Iqbal Ashrafi for making a beautiful model at Maulana Ejaj Square depicting importance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. The model was inaugurated at the hands of Dr Upadhyay. Shahbaz Khan Ashrafi, Nizamuddin Ansari, Saleem Ashrafi, Shamim Ejaz, Khalil Taji, Haji Kadir, Tauseef Rizwi, Aabid Taji, Shakir Ashrafi, Hasan Nakwi, Nema Thaokar, Saif Ali and others were present during this occasion.

Lalabhai Qureshi, President of BJP Minority Morcha, led the huge procession taken out on the occasion of Jash-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi from Golibar Square. Organisation worked also showered flowers on the devotees.

नागपुर महानगरपालिका की निष्क्रीयता से शहर बन रहा कूड़ाघर

नागपुर : नागपुर महानगरपालिका की कचरा मुक्त संकल्पना अड़चन में आ गई है. स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के तहत कचरा संकलन के लिए वैध कंपनी के लगाए गए नीले-हरे डब्बों की हालत जर्जर हो गई है. देखरेख के आभाव में शहर भर में छोटे-छोटे डंपिंग यार्ड तैयार हो गए हैं. इससे शहर ही किसी कूड़ेदान में तब्दील होता नजर आ रहा है.

शहर में मंगलवारी जोन से लेकर सभी १० ज़ोनों की स्वच्छता के मामलों को लेकर एक सी हालात है. जोन में तैनात स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी, निरीक्षक, जमादार, मनपा मुख्यालय में तैनात विभाग प्रमुख, समिति प्रमुख, मलेरिया फाइलेरिया विभाग सह ठेकेदार कनक पूरी तरह निष्क्रिय बने हुए हैं. मना शहरवासियों के स्वास्थ्य के साथ खिलवाड़ और मनपा राजस्व को चूना लगाने में लीन है. आलम तो यह है कि उक्त सभी को वेतन या मानधन कई महीने से नहीं दिया गया है.

मनपा स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने पिछले दिनों १२०० जोड़ी गीला-सूखा डस्टबिन लगाए थे. इनमें से सैकड़ों गायब हो चुके हैं. कई जगह ये टूट फूट चुके हैं. इस पर विभाग प्रमुख से सवाल करने पर चुप्पी वे चुप्पी साधे रहे. दरअसल सभी सक्षम मनपा को चूना लगाने अर्थात खरीदी विषयों पर सक्रिय, देखभाल स्वच्छता मसले पर मौन रहना या फिर ऊपर की ओर इशारा कर अपना पल्ला झाड़ने की आदत में शुमार है.

इन सबसे परे कनक वजनदार कचरे उठाकर अपना बिल बढ़ाने में लीन है. नगरसेवक वर्ग इसलिए नहीं खिलाफत करते क्यूंकि इनकी ही सिफारिश पर कनक ने इनके कार्यकर्ताओं को नौकरी दी. इन कर्मियों पर दबाव भी नहीं बना पाते, बनाये तो सम्बंधित नगरसेवक चीखते हैं. अधिकारी-पदाधिकारी वर्ग लाभार्थी होने से नज़रअंदाज करते देखे गए.

अगले वर्ष कनक की टेंडर की मियाद समाप्त हो रही है. इसलिए नए सिफारिशों पर कनक ध्यान नहीं दे रही है. सिर्फ शांति से कार्यकाल समाप्त कर अटकी निधि को सरल तरीके से निकालने में ध्यान केंद्रित किए हुए है. तो दूसरी ओर नई निविदा या तौर तरीकों में बदलाव पर निर्णय लेने में खादी-खाकी के बीच मतभिन्नता होने से फ़िलहाल मामला अधर में है. वैसे मनपा प्रशासन ने स्वच्छ भारत मिशन के तहत मिले निधि से अवैध शौचालय निर्माण करने में देश में अग्रणी रही हैं.

उल्लेखनीय यह है कि मनपा के मलेरिया फलेरिया विभाग प्रमुख का क़द महापौर और मनपा आयुक्त से ऊँचा नज़र आ रहा हैं.इसलिए कि वे इससे नीचे के अधिकारी-पदाधिकारियों के निर्देशों-सिफारिशों की नहीं सुनती.जबकि वे प्रतिनियुक्ति पर मनपा में तैनात है. दूसरी वजह यह है कि इस विभाग का कार्यालय शुक्रवारी तालाब के पास है. इस विभाग की ओर कोई झांक कर भी नहीं देखता. इसलिए भी कि विभाग प्रमुख किसी की नहीं सुनती अर्थात डेंगू की गिरफ्त में जकड़े नागपुर शहर को निजात दिलवाने के लिए मलेरिया फलेरिया विभाग निष्क्रिय साबित हो रहा है.
