Nagpur : Nagpur’s versatile Yoga exponent Dhanashri Lekurwale won two Bronze medals at 43rd Sports Championship held at Patiala recently.
The event was organised by Yoga Federation of India at Major Tejinder Pal Singh Sohal Gymnasium Hall. In the Under 17 Artistic Pair Group contest, Dhanashri and Shraddha displayed brilliant talent and bagged Bronze medal. Dhanashri also wona Bronze medal Athletic Yogasan

Huawei has launched its latest flagship phone, the Mate 20 Pro in India for Rs 69,990. The smartphone will be going on sale exclusively via Amazon India on December 4. Amazon Prime members will get their hands on the device a day early on December 3. As a part of the launch, Huawei will be offering a pair of Sennheiser PCX550 headphones to buyers for just Rs 2,000.
The device sports a large 6.39-inch QHD+ (1440×3120) curved OLED display with a 3D glass on the front and back. The rear panel comes in a gradient Twilight, Emerald Green and Black colours. The device is powered by the company’s latest Kirin 980 chipset that is based on a 7nm process and comes with dual NPU. It is also offered with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with support for expandability up to 256GB via microSD card. The Mate 20 Pro offers an in-display fingerprint sensor and 3D facial recognition as biometric options.
In terms of optics, the Mate 20 Pro is its triple rear camera system on the back that Leica-branded. Includes a 40MP wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 20MP Ultra wide-angle lense with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The cameras also support laser and phase detection auto focus as well as AIS (AI-based stabilisation). On the front, the Mate 20 Pro sports a 24MP 3D depth sensing camera.

The Mate 20 Pro also supports 15W wireless charging support and Huawei will be bringing its wireless charger to India as well. नागपूर : महामेट्रो नागपूरच्या रिच-१ कॉरिडोरचे कार्य जवळपास पूर्ण होत आले असून सीताबर्डी येथील मुंजे चौक मेट्रो स्टेशन ते खापरी मेट्रो स्टेशनपर्यंतच्या मेट्रो मार्गावर आता केवळ १३ स्पॅन उभारण्याचे कार्य शिल्लक आहे. यापैकी सोमलावाडा मेट्रो स्टेशनजवळ २, जय प्रकाश नगर मेट्रो स्टेशनजवळ ३, रहाटे कॉलोनीजवळ कृपलानी मेट्रो स्टेशन येथे १ व सीताबर्डी परिसरात ७ मेट्रोचे स्पॅन लावण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरु आहे. यापैकी सोमलवाडा आणि जयप्रकाश नगर येथे सुरु असलेले स्पॅनचे कार्य या आठवड्यात पूर्ण होतील.
मिहानडेपो ते मुंजे चौक मेट्रो स्टेशन पर्यंत १२.५ किमी अंतर असून यात २९६ स्पॅन लागणे प्रस्तावित होते. यापैकी २७३ स्पॅन आतापर्यंत लावून झाले आहेत. वर्धा मार्गावरील मेट्रोचे ८ किमी इतके अंतर एलिव्हेटेड म्हणजे उन्नती मार्गावर आहे. यादरम्यान रहाटे कॉलोनीजवळ मेट्रोचे पॉकेट ट्रॅक आहे. ०.५ किमीचे हे पॉकेट तयार झाले आहेत. म्हणजेच मुंजे चौक मेट्रो स्टेशन ते एयरपोर्ट मेट्रो स्टेशनपर्यंत मेट्रोचा प्रवास पुलावरून होणार आहे. रिच-१ कॉरिडोर मध्ये एकूण ७ मेट्रो स्टेशन हे एलिवेटेड सेक्शनवर असेल. या मार्गावर पॉकेट ट्रकचे २० स्पॅन धरून एकूण ३१६ स्पॅन आहेत.
वर्धा मार्गावरील रिच-१ कॉरिडोर मध्ये १६५६ पाईल्स, ३०९ पाइलकॅप, ३०९ पियर, २८३ पियर कॅप्स, १३ पोर्टल बीम आणि ६२ पियर आर्म आहेत. यापैकी पाईल्स आणि पियर कॅप्सचे कार्य पूर्ण झाले आहे. तर केवळ ५ पियर्स, १ पियर कॅप, २ पोर्टल बीम्स, ५ पियर आर्म आणि १३ स्पॅनचे कार्य आता पूर्ण होणे बाकी आहे. आतापर्यंत झालेल्या संपूर्ण कार्यकरिता ७ हायड्रॉलिक रिगची तरतूद रिच-१ मध्ये करण्यात आली. यामुळे या भागातील एकूण ९५ टक्के पाइलिंगचे कार्य गेल्या २ वर्षात पूर्ण झाले आहे. ३ ओव्हरहेड लॉन्चिंग गर्डर आणि ५ ग्राउंड लॉन्चिंग सिस्टीम देखील या रिचमधील कार्यकरिता तैनात करण्यात आले आहेत.
New Delhi: Director Bhushan Patel, who has films like ‘Ragini MMs’, ‘1920 Evil Returns’ and ‘Alone’ to his credit, is all set to make his comeback with his upcoming horror flick ‘Amavas’. The film stars Nargis Fakhri and Sachiin Joshi and Vivan Bhathena in lead roles and is slated to release on December 11, 2018.
In the meantime, the makers unveiled the first official teaser of the film on social media. Take a look:

The teaser of the film is spooky and mysterious. ‘Amavas’ is produced by Viiking Media and Entertainment in association with Simply West UK and Weeping Grave. The shooting of the film took place in London from the start-to-finish spanning about 35 days. The film also stars Alia Asgar and Mona Singh.
This is Nargis’ first ever horror flick and it comes as a breathe of freshair for her fans who are waiting to watch her in a rare avatar. Reportedly, the film also features television actors Mona Singh and Ali Asgar.
Nagpur: A 27-year-old Woman was forcefully made to drink liquor and raped by her neighbour whom she had approached to borrow some money. The survivor, who is married and has a son had gone to the accused’s house for borrowing Rs 5,000 to pay her rent. The accused, identified as Sachin Kalmegh (39), was alone at the house. The survivor asked the accused for money, following which Kalmegh told her to wait till he comes back after withdrawing money from ATM.
Kalmegh left the house, locked the survivor inside, and went to a bar to have a few drinks. The accused also brought liquor bottle with him.After reaching home, the accused forcibly poured liquor in the survivor’s mouth before exploiting her. Kalmegh also threatened her of dire consequences. The survivor soon rushed home and narrated the ordeal to her husband. The couple soon approached Hingna police station where a case of rape has been registered against Kalmegh.
After seven months of traveling through space, the NASA InSight mission has landed on Mars. A few minutes after landing, InSight sent the official to NASA to signal that it was alive and well, including a photo of the Martian surface where it landed.
Mission Control at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory exploded into celebratory applause and cheers after the touchdown was confirmed. The landing was watched around the world and even broadcast live on the Nasdaq Stock Market tower in New York City’s Times Square.
During a post-landing NASA press conference, the astronauts on the International Space Station called down to congratulate the mission team and said they “got some goosebumps” watching the coverage.
“Today, we successfully landed on Mars for the eighth time in human history,” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said. “InSight will study the interior of Mars and will teach us valuable science as we prepare to send astronauts to the Moon and later to Mars. This accomplishment represents the ingenuity of America and our international partners, and it serves as a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our team. The best of NASA is yet to come, and it is coming soon.”
Bridenstine said that Vice President Mike Pence called to congratulate the entire team.
InSight, or Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport, is going to explore a part of Mars that we know the least about: its deep interior. It launched May 5. InSight will spend two years investigating the interior where the building blocks below the planet’s surface recorded its history.
To reach Mars, InSight cruised 301,223,981 miles at a top speed of 6,200 miles per hour in space, followed by two cube satellites. The suitcase-size spacecraft, called MarCO, are the first cube satellites to fly into deep space. MarCO shared data about InSight when it entered the Martian atmosphere for the landing.
“We’ve studied Mars from orbit and from the surface since 1965, learning about its weather, atmosphere, geology and surface chemistry,” said Lori Glaze, acting director of the Planetary Science Division in NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. “Now we finally will explore inside Mars and deepen our understanding of our terrestrial neighbor as NASA prepares to send human explorers deeper into the solar system.”
Nagpur: Khushi Khot (12 year old) died on the spot after getting crushed under a speeding bus of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) while she was on her way to coaching class at Gangabai Ghat Square on Monday.
Khushi, a resident of Hirvi Nagar, was riding pillion on her elder sister Nikita’s moped when the incident happened. Nikita was dropping her sister to her tuition class in Mahal area. Monday was the first day of Khushi’s coaching class post the Diwali vacation.
The bus (MH-40-8599) dashed the moped from behind. Khushi fell on the right side and the bus ran over her. Luckily, Nikata fell on the other side.
Soon, the eyewitness rushed to help the sisters while the driver fled the spot. The angry mob also pelted stones at the bus. Khushi was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where she was pronounced brought dead.
It is also learnt that some people also took away the keys of the bus due to which Nandanvan police was not able to move the vehicle.
नागपूर : मुंबईवरील दहशतवादी हल्ल्याला आज १० वर्षे पूर्ण झाली आहेत. दहशतवाद्यांनी २६ नोव्हेंबर २००८ ला मुंबईवर केलेल्या अमानुष हल्ल्यामुळे संपूर्ण जग सुन्न झाले होते. या दहशतवादी हल्ल्यात शेकडो लोक मृत्युमुखी पडले. सोबतच मुंबई पोलिसांतील कर्तृत्ववान अधिकारी आणि कर्मचारीसुद्धा शहीद झाले होते. या हुतात्म्यांना सलामी देण्यासाठी राज्यभरातील पोलीस स्टेशनमध्ये आदरांजली अर्पण करण्यात आली. नागपुरमधीलही सर्वच पोलीस स्टेशनमध्ये शहिदांना मानवंदना देण्यात आली.
मुंबईवर झालेल्या दहशतवादी हल्ल्याला आज १० वर्ष पूर्ण झाले असले, तरी या हल्ल्याच्या जखमा आजही ताज्या आहेत. पाकिस्तानातून आलेल्या १० दहशतवाद्यांनी मुंबईसह देशाला हादरवून टाकले होते. पाकिस्तानातील दहशतवादी कराचीहून समुद्रामार्गे बोटीने मुंबईत घुसले होते. दहशतवाद्यांनी छत्रपती शिवाजी रेल्वे टर्मिनस, ताजमहल हॉटेल, ट्रायडंट हॉटेल आणि नरिमन हाऊसवर हल्ला केला होता. या हल्ल्यात १६६ पेक्षा अधिक निरपराध लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला होता, तर ३०० हून अधिक लोक जखमी झाले होते. मृतांमध्ये २८ परदेशी नागरिकांचा समावेश होता. अनेक पोलीस अधिकारी कर्मचारीसुद्धा शहीद झाले होते.
मुंबईवर आलेल्या या संकटाला मुंबई पोलिसांनी धैर्याने तोंड दिले. पोलीस जवानांनी ९ दहशतवाद्यांचा खात्मा केला होता, तर तुकाराम ओंबळे यांनी स्वत:च्या प्राणाची आहुती देऊन अजमल कसाब या एकमेव दहशतवाद्याला जिवंत पकडले होते. १० वर्षानंतर आजही या घटनेच्या आठवणीने प्रत्येक नागरिकाच्या अंगावर काटा उभा राहतो. या दहशतवादी हल्ल्यात हेमंत करकरे, अशोक कामटे, विजय साळसकर आणि तुकाराम ओंबळेसारख्या कर्तृत्वान योद्ध्यांच्या प्राणाला देश मुकला होता. त्यांच्या स्मृतीस अभिवादन करण्यासाठी नागपुरातील सर्वच पोलीस स्टेशनमध्ये आज आदरांजली अर्पण करण्यात आली.
नागपूर : महा मट्रो नागपूर मॅराथॉन निमित्त नागपुरात आलेल्या प्रसिद्ध कुस्तीपट्टू सुशील कुमार सोलंकी आणि देशाला हादरवून सोडणाऱ्या ‘२६/११’ या दहशतवादी हल्यात शौर्य गाजवणारे प्रवीण कुमार यांनी रविवारी मेट्रो हाऊस येथे सदिच्छा भेट दिली.
महा मेट्रोचे संचालक (वित्त) एस शिवमाथन आणि महा व्यवस्थापक (प्रशासन) अनिल कोकाटे यांनी शहरात निर्माणाधीन महा मेट्रो नागपूर प्रकल्पाने गेल्या तीन वर्षाच्या अल्प कालावधीत कशा प्रकारे प्रगती केली याची सुशील कुमार आणि प्रवीण कुमार यांना संपूर्ण माहिती दिली. सुशील कुमार आणि प्रवीण कुमार यांनी मेट्रो प्रकल्पात आतापर्यंत झालेल्या कार्याची प्रशंसा केली.
सुशील कुमार आणि प्रविण कुमार यांच्या भेटी दरम्यान मेट्रो हाऊस येथे आलेल्या पत्रकारांच्या प्रश्नांची उत्तरे दिली. खेळाप्रती आपला देश प्रगती करत असून हरियाणासह महाराष्ट्र देखील चांगली कामगिरी करत असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. त्यामुळे ज्यास्तीत ज्यास्त तरुणांनी क्रीडा क्षेत्रात शामिल व्हावे असे आवाहन त्यांनी मेट्रो हाऊस येथून समस्त नागरिकांना केले. दरम्यान सुशील कुमार आणि प्रवीण कुमार यांच्या चाहत्यांनी त्यांच्या सोबत स्लेफी काढून घेतली. महा मेट्रोच्या सौजन्याने आयोजित ‘महा मट्रो नागपूर मॅराथॉन २०१८’ ला नागरिकांचा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद लाभला. हजारोच्या संख्येने लहान मुलांनी, तरुण आणि महिलांवर्ग या मॅराथॉन २०१८ मध्ये सहभागी झाले होते. यावेळी महा मेट्रोचे अधिकारी आणि कर्मचाऱ्यांनी मॅराथॉन स्पर्धेत भाग घेतला.
नागपूर : स्वच्छ भारत सर्वेक्षण २०१९च्या संदर्भात महापौर नंदा जिचकार, उपमहापौर दीपराज पार्डीकर, आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी सोमवारी (ता. २६) आढावा घेतला. मनपा मुख्यालयातील डॉ. पंजाबराव देशमुख स्मृती स्थायी समिती सभागृहामध्ये यासंबंधी आढावा बैठक घेण्यात आली.
बैठकीला सत्ता पक्ष उपनेते बाल्या बोरकर, जलप्रदाय समिती सभापती विजय झलके, प्रतोद दिव्या धुरडे, ज्येष्ठ नगरसेवक सुनील अग्रवाल, नगरसेविका संगीता गि-हे, अपर आयुक्त राम जोशी, अझीझ शेख, आरोग्य अधिकारी सुनील कांबळे, पशुचिकित्सा अधिकारी गजेंद्र महल्ले, सहायक आयुक्त प्रकाश वराडे, अशोक पाटील, महेश मोरोणे, गणेश राठोड, सुवर्णा दखने, स्मिता काळे, जयदेव, कनक रिसोर्सेचे कमलेश शर्मा यांच्यासह दहाही झोनचे झोनल अधिकारी प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
यंदा स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षणमध्ये नागपूर महानगरपालिकेने तीन स्टार घेण्याचे ध्येय आहे. यासाठी सर्वांचाच सहभाग असणे आवश्यक आहे. यासंबंधी सर्व झोन स्तरावर तयारी केली जावी. प्रत्येक घरातून ओला व सुका कचरा वेगवेगळा संकलीत करण्यात यावा. याशिवाय शहरातील मुख्य मार्गांवर कुठेही कच-याचे ढिग दिसू नये यासाठी काळजी घेतली जावी. शहरातील मासोळी व मांस विक्रीच्या बाजारामध्येही स्वच्छता राखली जावी, यासाठी काळजी घेतली जावी, असे यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी निर्देशित केले.
कचरा विलगीकरणाबाबत प्रत्येक झोन स्तरावर जनजागृती करण्यात यावी. यावर पदाधिका-यांसह अधिका-यांची देखरेख असणे आवश्यक आहे. जनजागृतीसंबंधी वार्ड, मोहल्ला सभा घेण्यात याव्यात, असेही निर्देश महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिले. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेने सुरू केलेली जीपीएस वॉच प्रणाली देशासाठी पथदर्शी ठरली आहे. ही प्रणाली मनपामध्ये सुरू राहावी यासाठी योग्य देखरेख करण्यात यावी. जीपीएस घडाळ्याच्या ट्रॅकींगवरूनच सफाई कर्मचा-यांचे वेतन काढण्यात यावे, असेही महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी निर्देशित केले.
शहरात सर्वत्र सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेरे लागले आहेत. या कॅमेऱ्यांच्या मदतीने कोणत्या भागात कचरा आहे व साफ करण्यात आला अथवा नाही, यावर देखरेख ठेवता येईल. कचरा जाळण्याच्याही तक्रारी अनेकदा येत असतात. शहरातील कोणत्याही भागामध्ये कचरा जाळण्यात आल्यास जाळणा-यांवर दंडात्मक कारवाई करण्यात येईल, असा इशाराही यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिला.

नागपूर, ता. २६ : आपल्या भारतासारख्या विशाल देशामध्ये वेगवेगळ्या राज्यांमध्ये विविध धर्माचे असंख्य लोक राहतात. मात्र देशाबाहेर सर्वांची ओळख ही एक भारतीय म्हणूनच पुढे येते ही अभिमानास्पद बाब आहे. भारतीय लोकशाही जगातील सर्वोत्तम लोकशाही आहे, भारतीय संविधानामुळे आपला देश एकसंघ आहे. संविधानामुळे देशाची एकता व एकात्मता अखंडता टिकून आहे, त्यामूळे संविधानाचा सन्मान करणे हे प्रत्येक नागरिकांचे कर्तव्य आहे, भारतीय संविधानामूळेच देशात समानता नांदत असल्याचे मनोगत महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.
भारतीय संविधानाबाबत जनजागृती व्हावी व सर्व नागरिकांना संविधानाची ओळख व्हावी यादृष्टीने नागपूर महानगरपालिकेत दरवर्षी २६ नोव्हेंबर हा संविधान दिवस म्हणून पाळण्यात येतो. त्या अनुषंगाने म.न.पा.केन्द्रीय कार्यालयातील छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज प्रशासकीय इमारतीमध्ये महापौर श्रीमी नंदा जिचकार, उपमहापौर श्री.दिपराज पार्डीकर, सभापती स्थायी समिती श्री.विरेन्द्र कुकरेजा, विरोधी पक्ष नेते श्री. तानाजी वनवे, म.न.पा आयुक्त श्री. अभिजीत बांगर, कर आकारणी समितीचे सभापती संदीप जाधव, विधी समिती सभापती धर्मपाल मेश्राम, नगरसेवक किशोर जिचकार, मनोज सांगोळे, संजय हिरणवार यांनी भारतीय घटनेचि शिल्पकार भारत रत्न डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या तैलचित्राला पुष्पहार अर्पण करुन विनम्र अभिवादन केले. त्यानंतर महापौरांनी भारतीय संविधानाच्या उद्देशिकेचे वाचन करुन उपस्थित अधिकारी व कर्मचा-यांनीसुध्दा संविधान उद्देशिकेचे सामुहिकरित्या वाचन केले.
महापौर पुढे म्हणाल्या, आज संविधानाबाबत जागृती होणे आवश्यक आहे. कारण जोपर्यंत आपणाला संविधानाने बहाल केलेले हक्क कळणार नाहीत तोपर्यंत आपल्याला लोकशाहीचा खरा अर्थही कळू शकणार नाही. आपल्या भारताचे संविधान कोणा एका, व्यक्ती अथवा संस्था अथवा धार्मीक बाबीला अर्पण न करता देशातील प्रत्येक नागरिकाला केंद्रस्थानी ठेवून तयार करण्यात आले आहे. उद्देशिकेमध्येही ‘आम्ही भारताचे लोक’ म्हणूनच सुरूवात होत आहे, असेही महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या.

नागपूर : नागपूर जिल्ह्याचे माननीय पालकमंत्री महोदयांच्या नागपूर महानगरपालिका क्षेत्रात झोननिहाय आयोजित जनता दरबाराच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर नागरिकांच्या प्रभागनिहाय समस्या ऐकून घेण्यासाठी, महत्त्वाच्या समस्यांवर, प्रश्नांवर तात्काळ निर्णय घेण्यासाठी आणि मा. पालकमंत्र्यांच्या जनता दरबाराचा लाभ अधिकाधिक नागरिकांना मिळण्याच्या दृष्टीने मा. महापौर नंदा जिचकार ह्या प्रत्येक प्रभागात जाऊन नगरसेवकांच्या माध्यमातून जनतेच्या समस्या ऐकणार आहेत. उद्या २७ नोव्हेंबरपासून ‘महापौर आपल्या दारी’ हा उपक्रम शहरातील प्रभागांमध्ये राबविण्यात येणार आहे. दौऱ्याचा शुभारंभ मंगळवारी झोनमधून होणार असून उद्या २७ नोव्हेंबर रोजी सकाळी १० ते १ वाजतादरम्यान त्या प्रभाग क्र. १० व ११ चा दौरा करतील.
या उपक्रमांतर्गत महापौर नंदा जिचकार संबंधित प्रभागांच्या नगरसेवकांसह आणि संबंधित झोनच्या अधिकाऱ्यांसह संपूर्ण ३८ प्रभागांचा दौरा करणार आहे. या दौऱ्यात प्रभागातील समस्या, जनतेचे प्रश्न आणि प्रलंबित कामांची माहिती जाणून घेणार आहेत. काही प्रश्नांवर तात्काळ निर्णयही घेण्यात येतील. पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे हे ३ डिसेंबर ते ११ फेब्रुवारीदरम्यान प्रत्येक सोमवारी झोननिहाय जनता दरबार घेणार आहे. या जनता दरबाराच्या तयारीच्या दृष्टीने आणि त्याचा लाभ अधिकाधिक नागरिकांना व्हावा, याअनुषंगाने सदर उपक्रम हाती घेण्यात आला आहे. नियोजित तारखांना हा उपक्रम सकाळी १० ते १ या वेळेत राहील. या दौऱ्यात महापौर नंदा जिचकार प्रभागातील नागरिकांशी संवादही साधणार आहेत.

Kuldeep Yadav and Adam Zampa have made large jumps in the ICC T20I Rankings released on Monday (November 26) with both entering the top-5 of the bowlers charts for the first time in their careers. The latest player rankings include performances in the one-off T20I between Australia and South Africa, and the T20I series between Australia and India.
In the batting rankings, Shikhar Dhawan is the biggest mover, rising five places to a career-high 11th position. The left-hander scored 76 and 41 runs, while the second match in Melbourne was washed-out. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma have both dropped two places to go sixth and ninth respectively.
Yadav has jumped 20 places to claim the third position, while Zampa has leaped 17 places to occupy the fifth place. The two wrist-spinners have edged out seamers Jasprit Bumrah of India and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman out of the top-20 to increase the number of slow bowlers to 13 in the top-20 list. यवतमाळ मध्ये आरोपीने केलेल्या हल्ल्यात एका पोलीस अधिकाऱ्याचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. अटक वॉरंट बजावण्यासाठी गेलेल्या पोलीस पथकातील एका जमादाराला आरोपीने लाकडी दांड्याने तोंडावर मारून जागीच ठार केलं तर इतर दोन पोलीस अधिकारीदेखील या हल्ल्यात गंभीर जखमी झाले आहेत.
राजेंद्र कुलमेथे असं मृत्यू झालेल्या पोलीस जमादाराचं नाव आहे. मारेगावच्या हिवरी येथील ही धक्कादायक घटना आहे. अनिल मिश्रा असं आरोपीचं नाव आहे. त्याविरोधात अरेस्ट वॉरंट जारी करण्यात आलं होतं. त्यामुळे आरोपीला ताब्यात घेण्यासाठी पोलिसांची टीम आरोपीच्या घरी गेली होती.
पोलिसांनी आरोपीला बाहेर येण्यास सांगितलं. पण मी बाहेर येणार नाही तुम्हाला जे करायचं आहे ते करा अशी दादागिरी आरोपीने केली. त्यानंतर काही घडताच त्याने दरवाजा उघडला आणि पोलीस पथकावर हल्ला केला.
हा हल्ल्यात आरोपी अनिल मित्राच्या आईचादेखील हात होता. या दोघांनी 3 पोलिसांवर हल्ला केला. दोघांनी लाकडी दांडक्याने 3 पोलिसांवर हल्ला केला. यात 3 पोलीस गंभीर जखमी झाले. पण उपचारादरम्यान पोलीस जमादार राजेंद्र कुलमेथे यांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. तर इतर जखमी पोलिसांचा नजिकच्या रुग्णालयात उपचार सुरू आहेत.दरम्यान, आरोपी अनिल आणि त्याच्या आईवर पोलीस ठाण्यात गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला असून पोलिसांनी त्यांना ताब्यात घेतलं आहे. तर घटनास्थळावरून पोलिसांवर हल्ला करण्यासाठी वापरण्यात आलेलं लाकडी दांडकंदेखील पोलिसांनी ताब्यात घेतलं आहे. तर आता पोलीस या संपूर्ण प्रकरणाचा कसून तपास करत आहे.
Nagpur: SKB College of Pharmacy, Kamptee, has been honoured with accreditation by the both prestigious agencies NBA & NAAC, with ‘A’ Grade with score 3.19 on 4-point scale. The NAAC Peer team visited the institute on August 30 -31. The team was impressed with the teaching-learning process, research activities, library facility and innovative practices adopted by the institute. The institute has now full accreditation for three years from 2018 to 21.
SKB has become the first pharmacy institute of Nagpur University and Vidarbha to have functional accreditation from both the accreditation agencies NBA of New Delhi and NAAC of Bangalore. The institute has also been ranked by NIRF and included in platinum category by AICTE-CII survey in 2017 & 2018. Principal Milind Umekar thanked NAAC coordinator Dinesh Biyani and NBA coordinator Brijesh Taksande and staff.
नागपुर- सोमवार को सुबह खामला रोड स्थित देव नगर परिसर के गोकुल केशव अपार्टमेंट की इमारत में आग लग गईं. आग लगने के बाद फायर ब्रिगेड की गाड़ी आग बुझाने घटनास्थल पर पहुंची. इस घटना में किसी को भी चोट नहीं पहुंची है और कोई हताहत नहीं हुआ है, जबकि संपत्ति के नुकसान का अनुमान अब तक नहीं लग पाया है. आग लगने का कारण अब तक पता नहीं चल पाया है.
Nagpur : The first three subway train coaches produced by a Chinese train manufacturer for the Nagpur Metro have come off the production line, according to the company. CRRC Dalian, an affiliated company under China’s top train manufacturer CRRC Corporation, received a train coach order from the Nagpur Metro last year.
The company is scheduled to produce 69 coaches and provide train maintenance services for 10 years for the city’s metro rail.
With a stainless-steel body, the train coaches are designed to run at a maximum speed of 80 kms per hour. The coaches will be used on two urban railway lines totalling 38 kms in length in Nagpur.
CRRC Dalian develops, produces and exports diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and urban rail cars. The company has exported its products to countries such as New Zealand, Malaysia and Nigeria.
Nagpur : In the third suspected fatal attack by big cats in Chandrapur district this month, an eight-year-old girl from Awalgaon village of Bramhapuri tehsil was reportedly killed by a leopard or a tiger on Sunday morning.The victim, Khushi Bandu Thakre, was taking a morning stroll along with some friends when she was attacked by the animal, around 500 meters from the village, according to Deputy Conservator of Forest Kulraj Singh.
Reports suggest that the girl had stopped to pick up her dupatta that had fallen along the way when the predator pounced upon her and dragged her into the bushes. The remaining children started shouting in panic following which the animal left the child on the spot and ran away.
While villagers claim the animal was a tiger, Singh said, “There are no tell-tale signs of whether it was a leopard or a tiger. We have taken swabs from the spot and will send them for a forensic test. Only after that, we will be able to say if it was a tiger or a leopard.”
The incident comes exactly a week after one Shalu Dongarwar from Pawanpar village was killed in what was then stated to be a leopard attack. “We have taken swabs from there too. Since the trap cameras setup in the area got no pictures of the animal, we have to wait for the forensic test report to be able to say if the same animal is involved in the Pawanpar incident also,” Singh said.
On October 3, Tulsabai Kedar (62) was killed by a leopard at Arjuni in the buffer zone of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.
Nagpur : Dhantoli police have booked a teacher of coaching class on the charges of clicking photographs of girl students and blackmailing them. Many of the victim girls hesitated to raise their voice for fear of defamation but a girl gathered courage and registered a case against the pervert accused who has been identified as Rahul Bhusari.
According to police sources, the accused Rahul Bhusari was a guest faculty at ‘B S Education Institute Competition Coaching Class’ situated at Second Floor, Janaki Complex, Netaji Market. It is being alleged that taking advantage of ‘helpless’ girl students who came to his coaching class, the accused tried the ‘befriend’ the girl students forcibly. Between May 26 and November 23, the accused Bhusari clicked his photographs with the victims girls, some of them married, and later started blackmailing them. He even indulged in vulgar acts and outraged modesty of the girls. Moreover, the accused threatened to send the images to their husbands and blackmailed them.
Dhantoli ASI Premchand Tiwari, acting the girl’s complaint, booked the pervert accused Rahul Bhusari under Sections 354, 354(A), 292(A), 506(B) of the IPC read with Section 67(A) of Information Technology Act and launched an in-depth probe into the matter.

State Government has appointed Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) as nodal agency for the beautification of ‘A’ category tourist place Deekshabhoomi.
Sunil Gujjalwar, Superintending Engineer of Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) said, Param Pujya Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samiti has submitted a proposed development plan of sprawling 22.4 acre land of historic Deekshabhoomi.
State Government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore for first phase work and after acquisition of 3.84 acre land of Cotton Research Institute (CRI), the remaining work will be undertaken in second phase. The total cost of both the phases is Rs 181 crore. He said, Ashwin Mudgal, Chairman of NIT, is personally reviewing progress of the project.
NMRDA has proposed to construct a stage and podium structure with stone compound wall. It has also proposed to construct a guard room, entrance gate, police control room, watch tower, cloak room, and first aid room. Museum, interpretation Centre, Shopping area and open air theatre will be a major attraction of the premises.
The NMRDA has also proposed stone pathway and two-level queue areas for the devotees to enter the Stupa. It has also proposed renovation of entrance gate of main Stupa and construction of toilets, drinking water facility, electrification, solar energy equipments, audio video system, LED screens.
Tender process will be completed soon and work is likely to start from new year, Gujjalwar added.
नागपूर : हातावर ब्लेडने वार केल्यानंतर विद्यार्थिनीने गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केली. ही घटना वांजरा ले-आऊट येथे रविवारी पहाटे ५ वाजताच्या सुमारास उघडकीस आली. सिमरण राजू वरठी (वय १४),असे मृतकाचे नाव आहे.
प्रेमप्रकरणातून तिने आत्महत्या केल्याचा संशय पोलिसांनी वर्तविला आहे. सिमरण नववीत शिकत होती. शनिवारी सकाळी तिने ब्लेडने हातावर चिरा मारल्या. आईने तिची समजूत घातली. मध्यरात्री तिने तिच्या खोलीत पंख्याला ओढणी बांधून गळफास घेतला. पहाटे ही घटना उघडकीस आली.
घटनेची माहिती मिळताच यशोधरानगर पोलिस स्टेशनचे उपनिरीक्षक यू. ए. राठोड यांच्यासह पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला. पंचनामा करून पोलिसांनी मृतदेह मेयो हॉस्पिटलकडे रवाना केला. यशोधरानगर पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद करून तपास सुरू केला आहे. तिचे वडील चालक असून, आई गृहिणी आहे. तिला दोन भाऊ आहेत.

The company launched the Oppo R17 Pro in China back in August, and the phone is finally making its way to the India market. The Oppo R17 Pro is a flagship phone from the company and will likely sport a higher price tag. The phone was launched in China at a price of Yuan 4,299 Yuan, which is around Rs 43,000 plus roughly on conversion. This price was for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model.
In India, the Oppo R17 Pro could cost more than Rs 40,000 given the kind of features it packs. The phone is listed in two colour options on the India website: Emerald green and a Radiant mist colour.

Oppo R17 Pro’s highlight is the triple-rear camera system and an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, unlike the Oppo Find X, this one does not have a complete edge-to-edge display, and does sport a notch with a waterdrop design. The overall look of the phone’s display is similar to the OnePlus 6T and the Oppo F9 Pro.
Dimensions of the Oppo R17 Pro are 157.6mm x 74.6mm x 7.9mm and it weighs 183 grams. The display of the Oppo R17 Pro is 6.4-inches in size and this is a full-HD+ resolution with 2340 x 1080 pixels. The screen has an aspect ratio of 19:9 with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5 per cent. The phone runs Oppo’s own ColorOS 5.2, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Oppo R17 Pro is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The triple camera configuration of Oppo R17 Pro has a 12MP primary lens which has dual aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4. There’s a 20MP secondary lens and a third TOF (Time of Flight) 3D stereo camera as well. The phone has an LED monochrome flash. The front camera is 25MP.
Oppo R17 Pro has a 3,700mAh battery with support for the company’s proprietary Super VOOC fast charging technology.
Google Doodle Saturday celebrates the 306th birth anniversary of Charles-Michel de l’Épée, who was also known as the ‘Father of the Deaf’. Born in Versailles in 1712, Épée, was a French educator who is credited to have established the first public school for the deaf. A son of an architect, he studied theology and law before devoting his life in service for the poor. His journey to serve people with impaired hearing began when he tutored two deaf sisters who lived in the slums of Paris and communicated through their own sign language.
Later, challenging the misconception that people with impaired hearing were incapable of learning, he developed a visual method that eventually became the blueprint for teaching the deaf. In the coming days, Épée’s method changed countless lives at a time when many deaf people were discriminated against.
In 1760, using the money acquired through inheritance, he established the Institution Nationale des Sourds-Muets à Paris, a school for the deaf that was open to all.
Épée’s efforts were taken into notice by the French authorities as his school was granted government funding. The French National Assembly eventually recognised him as a “Benefactor of Humanity” and included the rights of deaf people under France’s Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. His school remains open till day and is known as Institut National de Jeunes Sourds de Paris.
नागपूर : तणसापासून बायो इथेनॉल प्रकल्प सुरू करण्यासाठी केंद्राने यापूर्वीच पाठपुरावा केला आहे. सद्यस्थितीत देशात ११ ठिकाणी बायो-ईथेनॉल प्रकल्प सुरू करण्याचा प्रस्ताव शासनाकडे विचाराधीन आहे. विचाराधीन प्रकल्प पूर्णत्वाला गेल्यास शेतकऱ्यांद्वारे फेकून देण्यात येणाऱ्या तणसापासून निर्मित बायो इंधनावर ट्रॅक्टर चालेल, असा विश्वास केंद्रीय भूपृष्ठ परिवहन मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी शुक्रवारी व्यक्त केला.
अॅग्रोव्हिजनच्या दहाव्या सत्राचा शुभारंभ उत्तर प्रदेशचे मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ यांच्या उपस्थितीत आणि राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीसांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली झाला. यावेळी केंद्रीय कृषिमंत्री राधामोहन सिंग, केंद्रीय गृहराज्यमंत्री हंसराज अहिर, राज्याचे अर्थ व वनमंत्री सुधीर मुनगंटीवार, महसूलमंत्री चंद्रकांतदादा पाटील, ऊर्जामंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे, बिहारचे कृषिमंत्री प्रेमकुमार, खासदार पद्मश्री डॉ. विकास महात्मे, खासदार कृपाल तुमाने, रवी बोरटकर आदी उपस्थित होते.
बायो-इंधनावर अधिक बोलताना गडकरी म्हणाले, ‘इथेनॉलमुळे शेतकरी आणि वाहनचालक दोघांनाही लाभ होणार आहे. इथेनॉलची किंमत प्रतिलिटर ५० रुपये आहे. पेट्रोलच्या तुलनेत दर कमी असल्यामुळे वाहनचालक फायद्यात राहतील तसेच इथेनॉल हे शेतीतील टाकावू घटकांपासून बनणार असल्यामुळे त्याचा नफा शेतकऱ्यांना मिळेल. ऊसाच्या चिपाडापासून तसेच शेतीत वापरण्यात येणाऱ्या प्रत्येक घटकापासून बायो-इंधन तयार होऊ शकणार आहे. यामुळे हवाई वाहतूक स्वस्त होणार आहे. तणसाप्रमाणेच बांबूपासून तेलनिर्मिती करण्यावर संशोधन सुरू आहे. संशोधन यशस्वी झाल्यास तेलावर खर्च होणारा पैसा मोठ्या प्रमाणावर वाचणार आहे. लवकरच २५ कोटी रुपये खर्च करून शेतकऱ्यांसाठी रिसर्च सेंटर उभे करण्यात येणार आहेत. ज्या दिवशी विदर्भातील शेतकरी आत्महत्या थांबतील त्यादिवशी खऱ्या अर्थाने अॅग्रोव्हिजनचे मिशन पूर्ण होईल.’
केवळ चार वर्षांत २१ हजार कोटी रुपयांची कर्जमाफी तर २७ हजार कोटी रुपये अनुदान थेट शेतकऱ्यांच्या बँक खात्यात जमा करण्यात आले आहे. सरकार शेतकऱ्यांच्या कायम पाठीशी असून चोवीस तास वीज उपलब्ध करून देण्याचा सरकारचा मानस असल्याचे मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी यावेळी सांगितले. तसेच जलयुक्त शिवारमुळे तब्बल सोळा हजार गावातील शेतकऱ्यांना लाभ झाल्याचा उल्लेख त्यांनी केला.

सण २००५ मध्ये माजी सनदी अधिकारी इ. झेड. खोब्रागडे, नागपूर जिल्हा परिषदाला मुख्य अधिकारी असताना, संविधानाची ओळख शालेय जीवनापासूनच मुला-मुलींना व्हावी म्हणून त्यांनी सुरु केलेला. ‘प्रत्येक शाळांमधून दररोज भारतीय संविधानाच्या प्रास्ताविकेचे वाचन उपक्रम’ पुढे राज्यभर विस्तारित झाला. महाराष्ट्र शासनाचे ‘२६ नोव्हेंबर’ हा दिवस घोषित करून संविधानाच्या जाणीव-जागृतीसाठी कृती कार्यक्रम निर्दीशीत केला. सन २०१६ हे डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचे १२५ जयंती वर्षे ‘संत व सामाजिक न्याय वर्ष’ म्हणून साजरे करण्यात आले. केंद्र शासनाने ‘२६ नोव्हेंबर’ हा दिवस ‘संविधान दिवस’ म्हणून साजरा करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला.
संविधान दिनाच्या निमित्याने दि २६ नोव्हेंबर २०१८ रोजी सकाळी ७.०० वाजता नागपूर शहरात दीक्षाभूमी ते संविधान चौक ‘वॉक फॉर संविधान’ या नाविन्यपूर्ण उपक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. या उपक्रमात शहरातील नागरिकांनी संविधान्याच्या सन्मानासाठी मोठ्या संख्येने सहभागी होऊन भारतीय संविधानाचे शिल्पकार डॉ. बाबासाहेबआंबेडकर यांना आदरांजली अर्पण करावी,असे आवाहन डॉ, बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर नॅशनल स्टुडंट फेडरेशनच्या वतीने प्रा. महेंद्रकुमार मेश्राम व संजीवनी संखी मंचच्या वतीने कल्पना मेश्राम यांनी केले आहे.
