कार्लस्रूमधील पर्यावरणपूरक वाहतूक प्रकल्प नागपूरसाठी लाभकारक : आयुक्त

नागपूर : कार्लस्रू शहरातील पर्यावरणपूरक वाहतूक व्यवस्था नागरिकांच्या आरोग्यासाठी लाभदायक आहे. तशा प्रकारची वाहतूक व्यवस्था भविष्यात नागपुरात अस्तित्वात आली तर नागपूर शहर संपूर्ण देशासाठी आदर्श ठरेल. स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पांतर्गत ‘सिटी टू सिटी पेअरिंग’च्या दोन्ही शहरांतील उत्तम प्रकल्पांची देवाणघेवाण होते. कार्लस्रूमधील चांगले प्रकल्प नागपुरात राबविण्यात येईल, असा विश्वास नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचे आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी व्यक्त केला.

स्मार्ट सिटीअंतर्गत असलेल्या ‘सिटी टू सिटी पेअरिंग’ कार्यक्रमांतर्गत नागपूर आणि जर्मनीतील कार्लस्रू शहरांमध्ये झालेल्या करारानुसार कार्लस्रू येथील शिष्टमंडळ नागपुरात दाखल झाले आहे. नागपूर स्मार्ट ॲण्ड सस्टेनेबल सिटी डेव्हलपमेंट कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडतर्फे ‘मोबीलाईज युअर सिटी’ या विषयावर मनपा मुख्यालयातील आयुक्त कार्यालय सभागृहात आयोजित कार्यशाळेत ते बोलत होते.

यावेळी एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे, एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे मुख्य महाव्यवस्थापक राजेश दुफारे, विजय बनगीरवार, देवेंद्र महाजन, मेट्रोचे कार्यकारी संचालक (नियोजन) एस.के. सिंगला, सहमहाव्यवस्थापक महेश गुप्ता, वाहतूक पोलिस विभागाचे उपायुक्त राजतिलक रोशन, मनपाचे परिवहन व्यवस्थापक शिवाजी जगताप, वाहतूक अभियंता आसाराम बोदिले,रजनीश पोरवाल, जीटीचे प्रकल्प संचालक अरुण सेलवरसु, मनपाचे शहर अभियंता मनोज तालेवार उपस्थित होते.

कार्लस्रू शिष्टमंडळात कार्लस्रूच्या इकॉनॉमिक डेव्हलपमेंट डिपार्टमेंटचे इनोव्हेशन हेड राफ ईकॉर्न (Mr. Ralf Eichhorn), कार्लस्रू डिजीटलचे स्टीफन बुल्ह (Mr. Steffen Buhl), कार्लस्रू अर्बन प्लानिंग डिपार्टमेंटच्या प्रा. डॉ. इंग अँक कारमन-वोएस्नर (Ms Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anke Karmann-Woessner), युनिव्हर्सिटी ऑफ अप्लाईड सायंसेस इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ ट्राफिक ॲण्ड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चरचे प्रा. डॉ. इंग जान रील (Prof. Dr.-Ing Jan Riel), स्ट्रेटॅजी आर्किटेक्ट ऑलिवर विल (Mr. Oliver Will), कार्लस्रूच्या पुणे इनोव्हेशन कार्यालय प्रमुख श्रीमती इरिस बेकर (Ms. Iris Becker), इंटरनॅशनल अर्बन को-ऑपरेशनचे आशीष पंडित, आशीष वर्मा उपस्थित होते.

प्रारंभी नागपूर स्मार्ट ॲण्ड सस्टेनेबल सिटी डेव्हलपमेंट कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे यांनी नागपूर स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पासंदर्भात सादरीकरण केले. नागपुरात सदर प्रकल्पांतर्गत सुरू असलेल्या प्रकल्पांची व सद्यस्थितीची माहिती दिली. यानंतर कार्लस्रूच्या इकॉनॉमिक डेव्हलपमेंट डिपार्टमेंटचे इनोव्हेशन हेड राफ ईकॉर्न (Mr. Ralf Eichhorn) आणि कार्लस्रू डिजीटलचे स्टीफन बुल्ह (Mr. Steffen Buhl) यांनी कार्लस्रूच्या अवलंबिलेल्या पद्धतीनुसार शहराचा जो आर्थिक विकास होत आहे, त्याबाबतचे सादरीकरण केले. नागपूर हे भारताचे हृदय तर कार्लस्रू शहर हे युरोपचे हृदय असल्याचा गौरवोल्लेख केला. कार्लस्रू शहरातील नागरी वाहतूक व्यवस्थेवर कार्लस्रू अर्बन प्लानिंग डिपार्टमेंटच्या प्रा. डॉ. इंग अँक कारमन-वोएस्नर (Ms Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anke Karmann-Woessner), युनिव्हर्सिटी ऑफ अप्लाईड सायंसेस इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ ट्राफिक ॲण्ड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चरचे प्रा. डॉ. इंग जान रील (Prof. Dr.-Ing Jan Riel) यांनी सादरीकरणाच्या माध्यमातून प्रकाश टाकला.

कार्लस्रू शहरात आवागमनासाठी सायकलचा उपयोग किती प्रभावीपणे केला जातो, प्रदूषणावर प्रतिबंध घालण्यासाठी त्याची कशी मदत होत आहे, याबाबत त्यांनी विस्तृत विवेचन केले. ह्या सर्व प्रकल्पांच्या दृष्टीने नागपूर वाटचाल करीत आहे. नागपुरातही याची प्रभावी अंमलबजावणी झाली तर नागपूर आशिया खंडातील आदर्श शहर म्हणून गणले जाईल, असा आशावाद त्यांनी व्यक्त केला.

यानंतर नागपूर शहरात सार्वजनिक वाहतुकीच्या दृष्टीने सुरु असलेल्या विविध प्रकल्पांवर मनपा, महामेट्रो, एनएमआरडीएच्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी प्रकाश टाकला. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वाहतूक विभागाचे व्यवस्थापक शिवाजी जगताप यांनी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे संचालित परिवहन सेवेची माहिती दिली. सार्वजनिक परिवहन व्यवस्थेचा नागरिकांनी अधिकाधिक उपयोग करावा, यासाठी सुरू असलेल्या प्रयत्नांची माहिती दिली. शहरात मेट्रोचे संचालन सुरू झाल्यांतर अस्तित्वात येणार असलेल्या ‘कॉमन मोबिलिटी कार्ड’चीही त्यांनी माहिती दिली.

परिवहन अभियंता आसाराम बोदिले यांनी नागपूर शहरातील परिवहन व्यवस्थेच्या व्यापक नियोजनावर सादरीकरण केले. महामेट्रोच्या वतीने सहमहाव्यवस्थापक महेश गुप्ता यांनी बाईक शेअरिंग प्रकल्पावर सादरीकरण केले. कार्लस्रू शहरातील सायकल वाहतुकीचा प्रकल्प नागपुरात यशस्वीपणे कसा राबविता येईल, याचेही विवेचन केले.

सरतेशेवटी मनपा आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी कार्लस्रूच्या शिष्टमंडळासोबत चर्चा केली. नागपुरात सुरू असलेले प्रकल्प इतर शहरांच्या तुलनेत अधिक वेगाने होत आहे. येथील नागरिक विकासाच्या प्रत्येक प्रकल्पांकडे सकारात्मक दृष्टीने बघत असल्यानेच हे शक्य होत असल्याचे सांगितले. कार्लस्रू शहराने जे प्रकल्प राबवून जागतिक स्तरावर आपली छाप सोडली, ते प्रकल्प नागपुरात नक्कीच राबविण्यात येईल, असा विश्वास त्यांनी यावेळी व्यक्त केला.

गुरुवारीही सादरीकरण आणि प्रकल्प भेट

गुरुवारचा दिवसही सादरीकरणाचा असणार आहे. नागपूर शहरात सुरू करण्यात येत असलेल्या डिजीटल सेवांसंदर्भात एल ॲण्ड टीच्या वतीने सादरीकरण करण्यात येईल. यानंतर सकाळी ११ वाजता कार्लस्रूचे शिष्टमंडळ मनपाच्या नवीन प्रशासकीय इमारतीतील कमांड ॲण्ड कंट्रोल सेंटरला भेट देईल. दुपारी १२ वाजता ‘परवडणारी घरे योजने’ संदर्भात एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे सीईओ डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे सादरीकरण करतील. शुक्रवार ३० नोव्हेंबर रोजी सकाळी १० वाजता कार्यशाळेचा समारोप होईल.

अपूर्व विज्ञान मेळाव्याचे थाटात उद्‌घाटन

नागपूर : विद्यार्थ्यांची विज्ञानामध्ये रुची वाढावी, त्यांची विज्ञानाशी मैत्री व्‍हावी व हसत खेळत विज्ञानाची अनुभूती घेता यावी यासाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे आयोजित अपूर्व विज्ञान मेळावा पथदर्शी ठरावा, असा अपेक्षा महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी व्‍यक्त केली.

नागपुरातील विज्ञानप्रेमी विद्यार्थ्यांच्या आवडीच्या ‘अपूर्व विज्ञान मेळाव्या’चे उद्‌घाटन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते झाले. उद्‌घाटनप्रसंगी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्यासह शिक्षण समितीचे सभापती प्रा. दिलीप दिवे, क्रीडा समितीचे सभापती नागेश सहारे, उपसभापती प्रमोद तभाने, स्थापत्य व प्रकल्प समितीचे सभापती संजय बंगाले, ज्येष्ठ नगरसेवक दयाशंकर तिवारी, सुनील अग्रवाल, नेहरूनगर झोन सभापती रिता मुळे, नगरेसविका उज्ज्वला शर्मा, उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार विज्ञान मेळाव्याचे समन्वयक ज्योती मेडपीलवार, कपिलनगर शाळेचे मुख्याध्यापक राजेंद्र पुसेकर यांची उपस्थिती होती.

नागपूर महानगरपालिका व असोसिएशन फॉर रिसर्च ॲण्ड ट्रेनिंग इन बेसिक सायन्स एज्युकेशन, नागपूर यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने उत्तर अंबाझरी मार्गावरील राष्ट्रभाषा प्रचार समिती येथे आयोजित या मेळाव्यात विद्यार्थ्यांनी सादर केलेल्या सर्व प्रयोगांची माहिती घेत महापौरांनी विद्यार्थ्यांचे कौतुक केले.

फीत कापून उद्‌घाटन केल्यानंतर महापौर नंदा जिचकार आणि अन्य मान्यवरांनी विद्यार्थ्यांनी तयार केलेल्या सर्व प्रयोगांच्या स्टॉल्सला भेट दिली. कुतुहलाने त्यांनी सर्व प्रयोगांविषयी माहिती घेतली. विद्यार्थ्यांना शाबासकी देत त्यांच्यातील कुशाग्र बुद्धीचे कौतुक केले.

यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी बोलताना, विद्यार्थ्यांची विज्ञानाबाबात रूची वाढवी याकरिता यासारखे विज्ञान मेळावे हे विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी फायदेशीर ठरणार आहे. विज्ञानाचे रोज जीवनात होणारा वापर किंवा विज्ञान हे प्रयोगाद्वारे शिकणारा विषय आहे. रोजच्या व्यवहार जीवनातील विज्ञान विद्यार्थ्यांनी समजून घेतले तर विद्यार्थ्यांचा आत्मविश्वास वाढेल, असा विश्वास महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी व्यक्त केला. २८ नोव्हेंबर ते २ डिसेंबर दरम्यान हा अपूर्व विज्ञान मेळावा उत्तर अंबाझरी मार्गावरील राष्ट्रभाषा भवन येथे आयोजित करण्यात आला आहे. शहरातील सर्व विज्ञानप्रेमींनी या विज्ञान मेळाव्याला भेट द्यावी, असे आवाहन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले.

Maharashtra Govt to provide necklaces with panic button for women’s safety

The Maharashtra government will make available “chains” (necklaces) with a panic button for women which can be used to send a distress signal to police in emergency.

The announcement was made by Minister of State for Home (Rural) Deepak Kesarkar while replying to a discussion on crimes at Ashramshalas (government-funded residential schools) in the Legislative Council.

The minister said the government is finalising a scheme under which “chains” with panic button will be made available at Rs 1,000 or less.

Women will be able to wear them around the neck.

“Such chains are available in several western countries….In the next one month, the technology will be finalised and we will float a tender,” said Kesarkar.

Shiv Sena legislator Neelam Gorhe, who raised the issue, said eight girls were sexually harassed at Minai Ashramshala in Walva tehsil of Sangli district in September.

A security committee should be set up in every Ashramshala for the security of girl inmates, she demanded.

या चार शहरांसाठी आज इंडिगोची विमानसेवा रद्द

नागपूर : इंडिगो एअर लाईन्सची नागपूरहून कोलकाता, बेंगळुरू, दिल्ली व कोच्ची या चार शहरांसाठी असलेली विमान उड्डाण सेवा गुरुवारी बंद राहील. काही दिवसांपूर्वीच ही सर्व उड्डाणे रद्द करण्यात आली होती.

इंडिगोची ६ ई ६६३, ६६४ कोलकाता-नागपूर-कोलकाता, ६ ई ८१६, ८१७ कोच्ची-नागपूर-कोच्ची, ६ ई ६३६ दिल्ली-नागपूर-दिल्ली व ६ ई- ३५६ बंगळुरू- नागपूर- बंगळुरू उड्डाणसेवा रद्द करण्यात आली आहे. उड्डाण रद्द करण्यामागे संचलनाचे कारण सांगितले जात असून प्रवाशांना याची माहिती कळविण्यात आल्याचाही दावा केला जात आहे. रद्द करण्यात आलेल्या तिकिट बुकिंगचे पैसेही प्रवाशांना परत करण्यात आले आहेत.सिस्टमवर या फ्लाईटची बुकिंगही थांबविण्यात आली आहे. सूत्रांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार दिल्लीसह इतर काही शहरात धुक्यांमुळे विमानसेवा प्रभावित होऊ शकते. सकाळी व रात्रीच्या उड्डाणांना धुक्यामुळे अडचण होत आहे.

ISRO launches earth monitoring satellite to get pollution, soil, water data

NEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched an earth observation satellite, along with 30 micro and nano satellites of eight other countries, on Thursday after a 16-hour countdown.

The 31 satellites were launched at 09:58 am in two different orbits by India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV C43) in its 45th flight.

The Indian satellite, Hyper Spectral Imaging Satellite (HySIS), will help in monitoring pollution from industries, according to ISRO. It will also have other applications in agriculture, forestry, geology, coastal zone study and inland water studies.

“The satellite will observe the surface of the earth and provide all the soil, water, vegetation and other data. Scientists may pick and choose what they want, but pollution monitoring will be possible,” an ISRO official said on the condition of anonymity.

The satellite, weighing nearly 380 kgs, will be placed in a 636-km polar sun-synchronous orbit, where the satellite passes over any given geographical area of the earth when the inclination of the sun is the same. It will have a five-year mission life.

The launch vehicle also had on board one micro satellite and 29 nano satellites from Australia, Canada, Columbia, Finland, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Spain, and the US. Of these, one micro satellite and 22 nano satellites are from the United States.

So far, the PSLV has launched 52 Indian and 239 international satellites from 28 countries.

Japan will give financial support to 'Nag River Pollution Elimination Project'

नागपूर : ‘नागनदी प्रदूषण निर्मूलन प्रकल्पा’ला जपानची वित्तीय संस्था ‘जिका’ अर्थसहाय्य करणार आहे. त्यादृष्टीने प्रकल्पाची सद्यस्थिती, प्रकल्प अहवाल आणि प्रकल्पातील अन्य बाबींवर चर्चा करण्यासाठी ‘जिका’चे शिष्टमंडळ नागपुरात आले. अर्थसहाय्य देण्याच्या दृष्टीने होणार असलेल्या सर्वेक्षणासंदर्भात बुधवारी (ता. २८) जिका आणि मनपामध्ये झालेल्या करारावर स्वाक्षऱ्या करण्यात आल्या.

यावेळी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचे आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर, तांत्रिक सल्लागार (नद्या व सरोवरे) मो. इसराईल, जिकाच्या इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इंजिनिअरिंग डिपार्टमेंटचे सिनिअर इंजिनिअरींग ऑफिसर युता टाकाहाशी (Yuta Takahashi), जिकाच्या साऊथ एशिया डिपार्टमेंटचे डेप्युटी असिस्टंट डायरेक्टर झॉ झॉ आंग (Zaw Zaw Aung), जिकाच्या साऊथ एशिया डिपार्टमेंटच्या कंट्री ऑफिसर (इंडिया) हारुका कोयामा (Ms. Haruka Koyama) आणि एनजेएस इंजिनिअर्स इंडिया प्रा. लि. चे संचालक विद्यासागर सोनटक्के उपस्थित होते.

यांनी नाग नदी प्रदूषण निर्मूलन प्रकल्प महत्त्वाकांक्षी असून या प्रकल्पाच्या माध्यमातून शहरात तीन सांडपाणी प्रक्रिया प्रकल्प प्रस्तावित असल्याची माहिती तांत्रिक सल्लागार (नद्या व सरोवरे) मो. इसराईल यांनी दिली. सन २०३४ पर्यंत नाग नदी सांडपाणीमुक्त होईल, असे उद्दिष्ट आहे. या प्रकल्पाला केंद्र शासनाने मंजुरी दिली असून केंद्र शासनाची अधिकृत वित्तीय संस्था ‘जिका’द्वारे अर्थसहाय्य अपेक्षित असल्याचे ते म्हणाले.

या प्रकल्पासाठी जिकाने नियुक्त केलेल्या कन्स्लटंटच्या माध्यमातून लवकरच सर्वेक्षणाला सुरुवात होणार आहे. सर्वेक्षणानंतर मंजुरीकरिता जपानहून एक स्वतंत्र चमू येईल. त्यांच्या मंजुरीनंतर जपान सरकारची अंतिम मंजुरी मिळेल. अंतिम मंजुरीनंतर अर्थसहाय्य देण्याच्या करारावर राज्य व केंद्र शासनाच्या स्वाक्षऱ्या होतील. सर्वेक्षणाच्या दृष्टीने आवश्यक बाबींची पूर्तता करण्यासंदर्भातील करारावर बुधवारी (ता. २८) नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी स्वाक्षरी केली.

केंद्राला ६० आणि राज्याला २५ टक्के

नाग नदी प्रदूषण निर्मूलन प्रकल्पाला ‘जिका’ ८५ टक्के अर्थसहाय्य करणार आहे. त्यापैकी केंद्र सरकारला ६० टक्के आणि राज्य सरकारला २५ टक्के अर्थसहाय्य करेल. केंद्र आणि राज्य सरकारकडून ने नागपूर महानगरपालिकेला अनुदान स्वरूपात देण्यात येईल. १५ टक्के वाटा हा नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचा असेल.

रेल्वेमधून दारू तस्करी करणाऱ्या आरोपीला नागपुरात अटक

नागपूर : आरपीएफ स्पेशल क्राईम डिटेक्शन टीमने दारू तस्करी करणाऱ्या आरोपीस सिनेस्टाईल पाठलाग करत अटक केली आहे. हा संपूर्ण प्रकार सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेरात कैद झाला आहे.

रोशन ढेंनगले (वय ३४) असे आरोपीचे नाव आहे. आरोपीची चौकशी केली असता नागपूरवरून दारूची तस्करी करत असल्याची कबुली त्याने दिली. आरपीएफच्या स्पेशल क्राईम डिटेक्शन टीम आणि राज्य उत्पादन शुल्क विभागाने ही संयुक्त कारवाई केली आहे.

Nagpur : Gujarat Tourism hosted a promotional event in the city at Hotel Tuli Imperial to announce newer opportunities in the state. Senior officials along with Shri. Kamlesh Patel, Chairman, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL), were present at the event and interacted with media, tour operators and hoteliers during the roadshow.

The roadshow highlighted the enormous tourism potential of the Statue of Unity from a local and global perspective. The 182-metre high memorial to Sardar Patel is the tallest man-made statue in the world and is visible from space. Located on an islet in Kevadiya in Gujarat’s Narmada district, the imposing monument stands 54 metres (177 ft) taller than the previous record holder, the Spring Temple Buddha in China’s Henan province, followed by Ushiku Daibutsu (120 meters) in Japan, Laykyun Sekkya Buddha (116 meters) in Myanmar and Guanyin of The South Sea of Sanya (108 meters) in China.

In 2013 Shri. Narendra Modi, then serving as Chief Minister of Gujarat, laid the statue’s foundation stone on 31 October. The construction of monument was completed in 56 months and the inaugural ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31st October 2018. Over 1.3 Lakhs tourist visited the destination since it was opened to public on 1st November.

Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff to inaugurate ‘Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav’ in Nagpur

Nagpur : ‘Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav’, a brain child of Union Minister for Road Transport, Shipping and Water Resources Nitin Gadkari, will be held from November 30 to December 18.

The festival was started last year and received overwhelming response from the city. The festival will be inaugurated at the hands of film stars Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff at 6 pm on November 30, at Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education ground, Krida Chowk, Hanuman Nagar, here.

MLC and President of the Organising Committee Anil Sole informed that besides Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Mayor Nanda Jichkar will be the guests of honour for the inaugural function. This will be followed by a programme of Hindi songs ‘Yadon Ka Chala Karwan’, conceptualised by Prasad Mahadkar. Shrikant Narayan, Sampada Goswami, Alok Katdhare, Sonali Karnik, Madan Shukla, RJ Gaurav will be the participants. Deva Bagera is the music organiser.

A theme song for the festival sung by Swapnil Bandodkar and music composed by Moreshwar Nistane, was released on the occasion. About 900 artists from Nagpur have been given opportunity to perform on the stage.

December 17 – mega play ‘Shirdi Ke Saibaba’. December 18 – ‘Naad Anahad’ a musical programme.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the chief guest for the concluding function on December 18.

पुण्यात झोपडपट्टीला भीषण आग; सिलेंडरच्या स्फोटामुळे आगीचा भडका

पुणे : पुण्यातील पाटील इस्टेट झोपडपट्टीत भीषण आग भडकली आहे. आतापर्यंत १०० पेक्षा जास्त झोपडया या आगीत जळून खाक झाल्याची माहिती आहे. अग्निशमन दलाच्या ३० गाडया आग विझण्याचे युद्धपातळीवर प्रयत्न करत आहेत. झोपडपट्टीतील क्रमांक ३ च्या गल्लीमध्ये दुपारी एकच्या सुमारास ही आग लागली. आगीचे रौद्ररुप पाहता पुणे, पिंपरी-चिंचवड आणि आसपासच्या परिसरातून अग्निशमन दलाच्या गाडया मागवाव्या लागल्या. झोपडीतील सिलेंडरच्या स्फोटामुळे ही आग लागल्याची शक्यता आहे. सहा वर्षापूर्वी देखील अशीच घटना याच ठिकाणी घडली होती. पाटील इस्टेट झोपडपट्टीत जवळपास ४०० घर आहेत. संपूर्ण झोपडपट्टी रिकामी करण्यात आल्याची माहिती आहे. पुणे-मुंबई मार्गावर ही पाटील इस्टेट झोपडपट्टी आहे. सहा ते सात सिलेंडरचे स्फोट झाल्यामुळे आग आणखी भडकली.

धुराचे मोठ मोठे लोट आकाशाच्या दिशेने उठताना दिसत आहेत. आग अधिक पसरु नये यासाठी अग्निशमन दलाकडून शर्थीचे प्रयत्न सुरु आहेत. जमलेल्या गर्दीमुळे अग्निशमन दलाच्या जवानांना काम करताना अडथळे येत आहेत.

अग्निशमन दलाच्या वाहनांना झोपडपट्टीपर्यंत पोहोचण्यात अडथळे येऊ नये यासाठी वाहतूक रोखण्यात आली आहे. अरुंद गल्ल्यांमुळे अग्निशमन दलाला पोहोचण्यासाठी अडथळे येत आहेत. वाहतूक शाखा आणि स्थानिक पोलीस घटनास्थळावरील गर्दीला आवरण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत.

दगड खाणीत ट्रक कोसळून चालकाचा मृत्यू

नागपूर : उमरेड तालुक्यातील सुरगाव येथे एका विचित्र अपघातात ट्रक चालकाचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. ८० फूट खोल खाणीत ट्रक कोसळल्याने हा अपघात झाला. कृष्णा मडावी असे मृत ट्रक चालकाचे नाव आहे. या प्रकरणी पोलिसांनी अधिक तपास सुरू केला आहे.

बुधवारी सकाळी १० वाजताच्या सुमारास कृष्णा त्यांचा ट्रक घेऊन सुरगाव परिसरातील दगड खाणीत गेले होते. मात्र, अचानक त्यांचा ट्रक खाणीत सुमारे ६० ते ८० फुटांवरून खाली कोसळला. सुरगाव परिसरातील या खाणीतून मोठ्या दगडांना फोडून बारीक गिट्टी तयार केली जाते. त्याच कामासाठी कृष्णा ट्रक घेऊन सुरगाव खाणीत गेले असावे आणि उंचीचा अंदाज न आल्याने अनियंत्रित झालेला ट्रक खाली कोसळला असावा, असा प्राथमिक अंदाज व्यक्त केला जात आहे. दरम्यान, सुरगाव परिसरात अनेक खाणींमध्ये अवैध उत्खननही सुरू आहे. दगड माफिया त्या भागात सक्रिय आहेत. या घटनेमागे माफियांमधील संघर्ष तर कारणीभूत नाही ना? याचा तपासही पोलिसांना करावा लागणार आहे.

घटनेची माहिती मिळताच संबंधित पोलीस घटनास्थळी दाखल झाले होते. ट्रकच्या कॅबिनमध्ये कृष्णा मडावी यांचा मृतदेह अडकल्याने तो बाहेर काढण्यासाठी पोलिसांना खूप प्रयत्न करावे लागले. पोलिसांनी कृष्णा मडावी यांचा मृतदेह उत्तरीय तपासणीसाठी पाठवून घटनेची चौकशी सुरु केली आहे.

नागपूर जिल्ह्यात अवैध रेती उत्खननासोबतच गौण खनिजाच्या चोरी संदर्भात अनेक वेळा खुलासे झाले आहेत. काही दिवसांपूर्वी तर वाळू तस्करांना रोखण्यासाठी गेलेल्या एका तहसीलदाराला आरोपींनी १५ किलोमीटर पर्यंत ट्रकला लटकावून नेल्याची घटना घडली आहे. त्यानंतरही गौण खनिज उत्खनन करून चोरी करणाऱ्यांविरुद्ध कोणतीही ठोस कारवाई झाली नसल्याने या तस्करांमध्ये कुणाचीही भीती नसल्याचे दिसून येत आहे.

Nagpur : Union Minister Nitin Gadkari during the recently organised Indian Road Congress praised the work of under-construction double-decker being built by Maha Metro for Nagpur’s ‘Majhi Metro.’ The double-decker on Wardha Road will prove immensely beneficial for the citizens of Nagpur. “The double-decker is being built by using latest technology. The work is being done without disturbing the vehicular traffic on the road,” Gadkari said and lamented that why no other Metro Rail projects in the country are using the technology for building such double-decker. The construction work of Nagpur Metro is being done at various places with the help of latest and sophisticated technology. These constructions are becoming centre of attractions. Whether all the stations of Metro Rail and outer premises of stations, the work is being done under a specific theme. मुंबई : नागपूर येथील शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालय व रुग्णालयात कर्करोगावर उपचारासाठीच्या अत्याधुनिक सोयी सुविधा निर्माण करण्याविषयीचा सर्वंकष प्रस्ताव शासन स्तरावर विचाराधीन आहे. या संस्थेस कर्करोगावरील उपचाराच्या अनुषंगाने 25 कोटी रुपयांची यंत्रसामुग्री खरेदी करण्यास प्रशासकीय मान्यता प्रदान केलेली आहे. लोकसभा निवडणुकीची आचारसंहिता लागण्यापूर्वी त्या ठिकाणी सर्व यंत्रसामुग्री बसविण्याची कार्यवाही करण्यात येईल, असे आश्वासन वैद्यकीय शिक्षणमंत्री गिरीष महाजन यांनी विधानसभेत दिले.

Kalidas Festival starts with theme ‘Inner voice of Women’

Nagpur : The three-day Kalidas Music Festival started at Suresh Bhat Sabhagruh on Tuesday to a full house. Designed on the theme of inner voice of women, the festival pays tribute to Kavi Kalidas’s magnum opus ‘Abhigyan Shakuntalam’. And also to the talent of women artistes by featuring six of them over three days.

The festival opened with a Bharatanatyam recital by city-based classical dancer Shrimathi Madkholkar, who presented the story of Shakuntala’s life with her graceful and expressive dance movements.Her 20 minutes performance brought out the pathos of Shakuntala’s life and portrayed the tragic events that struck her and her joy of being united again with King Dushyant.

Pandita Anuradha Pal first women professional tabla player presented a performance with world’s first all female band, the fusion of guitar, tabla, ghatam, Mandolin, and dhol made the night a memorable one. Rag Durga that represents Stree Shakti. The sound of tabla Vaad and claps from audience was a mesmerizing one to the ears.

Irrigation Scam: ACB hints at involvement of Ajit Pawar

Nagpur : The Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has informed the Bombay High Court that its probe into the alleged multi-crore irrigation scam has revealed major lapses on part of the state’s former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and other government officials.

The scam, pegged at around Rs 70,000 crore, relates to alleged corruption and irregularities in approval and execution of various irrigation projects in Maharashtra during the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) rule.

Ajit Pawar was among the NCP ministers who were in-charge of the irrigation department at different times between 1999 and 2014 during the Congress-NCP coalition rule in Maharashtra.

ACB’s Director General Sanjay Barve filed an affidavit before the Nagpur bench of the high court on Tuesday in response to a petition filed by an NGO, Janmanch.

The NGO, in it’s petition, raised concerns over irregularities in irrigation projects undertaken by the Vidharba and Konkan Irrigation Development Corporations.

The affidavit described the scam as a “weird case of conspiracy” in the water resources department which has “defrauded the government itself”.

“The dramatis personae, who put up this performance that cost the government dearly, are simply trying to hide behind the framework of rules and pass the buck,” it said.

It said several projects of the Vidarbha and Konkan irrigation development corporations suffered delays, cost escalations and non-realisation of projected goals of irrigation during Pawar’s stewardship as minister for water resources department.

“The ACB has observed that various irregularities have been committed in several of these tenders/works with uncanny similarity,” Barve said in his affidavit.

During inquiries, Pawar claimed he took decisions based on recommendations of secretary-level officers and that most of the decisions were taken at the field level, the affidavit said.

“It is observed that the minister in-charge of the water resources department shoves the responsibility on to the officers,” it said.

Global Nagpur Awards on Nov 30

Nagpur : Nagpur First, a charitable trust supporting and contributing in making Nagpur a global city, will honour 16 persons chosen from different fields at its fifth edition of Global Nagpur Summit to be held here on November 30 and December 1.

The two-day event will be held at Persistent Systems in IT Park near VNIT on November 30 and at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines on December 1.

Dinesh Jain, President of Nagpur First while interacting with media persons here on Tuesday at a press conference said the summit will begin on November 30 with a glittering evening of ‘Global Nagpur Awards’ at Persistent System.

He added that 15 awards and one star award will be given. Apart from this, on December 1, three different tracks on IT / ITES, Social Enterpreneurship and Environment will be held on ‘City Growth Conference’ at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines.

Dr Rizwan Ahmed, Chair of IT/ITES Track said that the eminent speakers and panelists under different topics will share their views on transforming Nagpur from an educational hub to a global delivery and innovation hub for IT/ITES services and solutions.

Tanvir Mirza, Track Chair for the second track on Social Entrepreneurship said that the session will focus the importance of networking, technology and fundraising for creating a greater impact in both urban and rural areas. In the third track, Vikram Naidu, Track Chair, will bring international researchers, delegations, technologists, manufacturers, consultants, vendors, EPC companies on a single platform. Faiz Wahid, Secretary of Nagpur First, briefed about the various activities carried by them throughout the year. Sanjav Arora, introduced the speakers and proposed the vote of thanks.

व्हेरायटी चौकात वीज बचतीबाबत जनजागृती

नागपूर : अनावश्यक विद्युत दिवे बंद करून विजेची बचत करा. पोर्णिमेच्या उजेड्या रात्री किमान एक तास दिवे बंद करून एका चांग़ल्या उपक्रमात योगदान द्या, असे आवाहन करीत मनपाचे कर्मचारी आणि ग्रीन व्हिजील फाऊंडेशनच्या स्वयंसेवकांनी व्हेरायटी चौकातील व्यापाऱ्यांमध्ये जनजागृती केली.

नागपूर महानगरपालिका आणि ग्रीन व्हिजील फाऊंडेशनच्या वतीने आमदार प्रा. अनिल सोले यांच्या प्रेरणेने प्रत्येक पोर्णिमेच्या उजेड्या रात्री ‘पोर्णिमा दिवस’ हा उपक्रम राबविण्यात येतो. याअंतर्गत २६ नोव्हेंबर रोजी स्थानिक व्हेरायटी चौकात पोर्णिमा दिवसानिमित्त जनजागृती अभियानाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचे कार्यकारी अभियंता (विद्युत) संजय जयस्वाल आणि ग्रीन व्हिजील फाऊंडेशनचे संस्थापक कौस्तभ चॅटर्जी यांच्या नेतृत्वात मनपा कर्मचारी आणि ग्रीन व्हिजीलच्या स्वयंसेवकांनी जनजागृती केली.

व्हेरायटी चौकातील बाजार परिसरातील प्रत्येक प्रतिष्ठानांमध्ये जाऊन रात्री ८ ते ९ या काळात किमान एक तासासाठी अनावश्यक विद्युत दिवे बंद ठेवण्याचे आवाहन केले. त्यांच्या आवाहनाला प्रतिसाद देत व्यापाऱ्यांनी विद्युत दिवे बंद केले आणि वीज बचतीच्या महायज्ञात आपला सहभाग नोंदविला. इतकेच नव्हे तर यापुढे पोर्णिमा दिवस आणि अन्य दिवशीही अनावश्यक वीज दिवे बंद ठेवून शक्य तेवढी वीज बचत करण्याचे आश्वासन दिले. मनपाच्या वतीनेही परिसरातील अनावश्यक पथदिवे बंद करण्यात आले होते.

नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने सहायक अभियंता ए. एस. मानकर, उपअभियंता एम.एम. बेग, कनिष्ठ अभियंता जी. एम. तारापुरे, कनिष्ठ अभियंता डी.व्ही. वंजारी, सुनील नवघरे, प्रशांत कालबेंडे सहभागी झाले होते. ग्रीन व्हिजीलच्या टीम लीडर सुरभी जयस्वाल यांच्यासह मेहुल कोसुरकर, कल्याणी वैद्य, शीतल चौधरी, कार्तिकी कावळे, बिष्णुदेव यादव, दिगांबर नागपुरे, सारंग मोरे, दादाराव मोहोड यांनी जनजागृती केली. या मोहिमेत स्वयंसेवकांचा उत्साह बघून काही नागरिकही सहभागी झाले होते.

Mayor assures to resolve complaints of citizens

Nagpur : Nanda Jichkar, Mayor, started her public contact campaign on Tuesday, from Prabhag 10 and Prabhag 11 in Mangalwari Zone to understand the problems of citizens. She assured to resolve their complaints as early as possible.

Jichkar was accompanied by Sandeep Jadhav, Chairman of Tax Committee; Manoj Chafle, Chairman of Health Committee; Pintu Zalke, Chairman of Water Works Committee; Bhushan Shingne, NIT Trustee; Sangita Girhe, Chairperson of Mangalwari Zone; Sunil Agrawal, senior corporator; Archana Pathak, Deepak Girhe, Naresh Barde; Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner; Vijay Humane, Assistant Commissioner; Girish Wasnik and Manoj Ganvir, Executive Engineers; Dr Sunil Kamble, Health Officer; and Salodkar, Electric Department officer.

Mayor visited Mangalwari, Gorewada, Zingabai Takli, Girhe Layout, Kale and Raut Layout, Alankar Society, Mankapur and Shivaji Complex. The residents of Zingabai Takli complained that they did not have sufficient number of garbage collection points. She said, the citizens should select garbage collection centre for respective area. NMC is searching land for 10 garbage collection centres in all ten zones. She also warned of action against persons dumping garbage in nullah. She directed the officials concerned to clear the nullahs.

The residents of Girhe Layout complained about waterlogging in the area during monsoon for two-three days. Open plots have become mosquito breeding sites and dumping grounds, they said. Mayor directed the officials concerned to remove shrubs from the open plots and issue notices to owners of such plots. She also informed the citizens that a library would be opened in the area for them.

Jichkar also visited Bandhu Nagar, Alankar Society, Shivaji Society and other areas. She directed Orange City Water to repair the leaking pipelines and reconstruct the road. She directed Health Department to catch stray cattle. The residents of Alankar Society demanded installation of street lights in the area.

Recently, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited issued notices to citizens residing in Gorewada as 11 KV line passed through their areas. The citizens demanded that these high-tension cable lines should be underground. Jichkar said, MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh has made a provision of funds for this work.
Mayor will visit Prabhag 1 and Prabhag 9 in Mangalwari Zone on Wednesday.

कामगारांच्या बालकांसाठी मनपा सुरू करणार अटल बालसंगोपन केंद्र

नागपूर : आर्थिकदृष्ट्या कमकुवत व मिळेल ते काम करून उदरनिर्वाह करणाऱ्या कामगार वर्गातील बालकांसाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे अटल बालसंगोपन केंद्र सुरू करण्यात येणार आहे. यासंबंधी तयार करण्यात आलेल्या प्रस्तावाचा लवकरात लवकर आढावा घेऊन पुढील कार्य सुरू करण्यात यावे, असे निर्देश महिला व बालकल्याण समिती सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी दिले.

मनपाच्या महिला व बालकल्याण समितीतर्फे मंगळवारी (ता. २७) विविध विषयांसंदर्भात बैठक घेण्यात आली. यावेळी सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी पाळघरासंदर्भात अधिकाऱ्यांना निर्देश दिले. मनपा मुख्यालयातील डॉ. पंजाबराव देशमुख स्मृती स्थायी समिती सभागृहात आयोजित बैठकीला उपसभापती विशाखा मोहोड, सदस्या दिव्या धुरडे, सविता कावरे, मनिषा अतकरे, वैशाली नारनवरे, उपायुक्त रंजना लाडे, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, आरोग्य अधिकारी डॉ. सुनील कांबळे आदी उपस्थित होते.

दिवसभर कामावर जाणाऱ्या कामगार वर्गातील मुलांच्या संगोपनाचा प्रश्न नेहमीच ऐरणीवर राहिला आहे. दिवसभर आई-वडील घरी नसल्याने या मुलांवर वाईट गोष्टींचा प्रभाव पडतो. अनेकदा ही बालके अत्याचाराचेही बळी पडतात. यावर नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या महिला व बालकल्याण विभागाने पुढाकार घेत या बालकांचे संगोपन व त्यांना संस्कारीत करण्यासाठी संगोपन केंद्र सुरू करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. या संगोपन केंद्रात शून्य ते ५ वर्ष वयापर्यंतची मुले व १३ वर्ष वयापर्यंतच्या मुलींना प्रवेश देण्यात येईल. संगोपन केंद्रासाठी काछीपुरा येथे जागा उपलब्ध करुन देण्यात आली असल्याचेही यावेळी महिला व बालकल्याण समिती सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी सांगितले.

१०० बालकांची क्षमता लक्षात घेऊन हे बाल संगोपन केंद्र सुरू करण्यात येत आहे. संगोपन केंद्रात दिवसभर राहणाऱ्या मुलांची एकवेळची खाण्याची व्यवस्था तसेच त्यांना दूधही देण्यात येणार आहे. शिवाय सुरक्षेच्या दृष्टीने येथे सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेऱ्यांचीही व्यवस्था करण्यात येणार असल्याचे सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी सांगितले.

६ ते १३ जानेवारीदरम्यान महिला उद्योजिका मेळावा

नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या महिला व बाल कल्याण समितीच्या वतीने ६ ते १३ जानेवारी २०१९ दरम्यान महिला उद्योजिका मेळावा आयोजित करण्यात आला आहे. रेशीमबाग मैदानावर आयोजित या महिला उद्योजिका मेळाव्यामध्ये देशभरातील महिला उद्योजकांनी उभारलेल्या संकल्पना आमंत्रित करण्यात येणार आहे. विदर्भासह देशभरातील विविध महिलांनी संघटीत होउन सुरू केलेल्या व्यवसायांचे स्टाल मेळाव्याच्या परिसरात लावण्यात येणार आहेत. याशिवाय दिवसभर विविध कार्यशाळा, मार्गदर्शन कार्यक्रमांचेही आयोजन करण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती महिला व बाल कल्याण समिती सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी यावेळी दिली.

बुधवारी विविध प्रकल्पांचे सादरीकरण

कार्लस्रू शहराचे शिष्टमंडळ तीन दिवस नागपुरात असून नागपूर स्मार्ट ॲण्ड सस्टेनेबल सिटी डेव्हलपमेंट कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड तर्फे बुधवार २८ नोव्हेंबरपासून मनपाच्या नवीन प्रशासकीय इमारतीतील सभागृहात आयोजित कार्यशाळेत सहभागी होणार आहे. २८ नोव्हेंबर रोजी सकाळी १० वाजता एनएसएससीडीसीएलचे सीईओ डॉ. रामनाथ सोनवणे स्मार्ट सिटीवर सादरीकरण करतील. सकाळी ११ वाजता मनपाच्या वाहतूक विभागाचे व्यवस्थापक शिवाजी जगताप नागपूर शहर बस सेवेचे (आपली बस) सादरीकरण करतील. यानंतर सकाळी ११.३० वाजता वाहतूक अभियंता आसाराम बोदिले नागपूर शहराच्या व्यापक वाहतूक नियोजनावर सादरीकरण करतील. दुपारी १२ वाजता महामेट्रोच्या वतीने सादरीकरण होईल. २९ नोव्हेंबर रोजी सुद्धा विविध प्रकल्पांचे सादरीकरण होईल. दोन दिवसांच्या मुक्कामादरम्यान कार्लस्रूचे शिष्टमंडळ मिहानसह नागपुरातील विविध प्रकल्पांना भेटी देतील. कार्यशाळेचा समारोप ३० नोव्हेंबर रोजी सकाळी १० वाजता होईल.

Session on Menstrual Hygiene at Providence Hostel by Dr. Vaidehi Marathe

Nagpur : A session on ‘Menstrual Hygiene’ was organized at the premises of the hostel of Providence School, Sadar, by an eminent Gynecologist of the town Dr Vaidehi Marathe. The session was for the school girls. She enlightened the girls with menstrual myths &; taboos. She explained the menstrual cycle to the girls portraying it being natural and gift to girls. Dr. Vaidehi adviced to the girls to unfollow the old traditional beliefs of not entering a temple during their menses etc. The girls were informed about health, hygiene and healthy dietary food.

She explained them the difference between love and lust, advice them to say no and maintain a sexual health. Dr. Vaidehi also made them aware about the STDS (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) which imbibe with having intimation with more than one sexual partner.

The warden of the hostel, Sophie sister also appreciated the activity & said, ‘It’s essential for my girls to attend this type of sessions and interact so that there misconceptions and myths can be cleared’. A cake cutting ceremony with distribution of chocolates was done at the end of the session.

New Delhi : Senior Indian woman cricketer and ODI captain Mithali Raj Tuesday lashed out at Committee of Administrators’ member Diana Edulji and coach Ramesh Powar, saying a “few people in power are out to destroy me”.

Breaking her silence on the omission from the World T20 semifinal against England that raised quite a few eyebrows after India’s eight-wicket loss, Mithali alleged that Edulji, who had backed her axing, “used her position against me”.

The 35-year-old was dropped despite scoring back-to-back fifties in the group stage of the competition held in the West Indies.

“For the first time in a 20 year long career, I felt deflated, depressed and let down. I am forced to think if my services to my country are of any value to a few people in power who are out to destroy me and break my confidence,” she wrote in a letter to BCCI CEO Rahul Johri and Cricket Operations GM Saba Karim.

“I would also like to point out that I have nothing against the T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur except for the fact that her call to support the decision of the coach to leave me out of the eleven was baffling and hurtful.

“I wanted to win the world cup for my country and it hurts me because we lost a golden opportunity.”

She slammed Edulji, a former India captain, for defending the team’s decision to drop her.

“To put things in perspective, I have always reposed faith in Diana Edulji and have always respected her and her position as a member of the COA, Never did I think she will use her position against me, more after hearing what all I had to go through in the Caribbean as I had spoken to her about it .

“Her brazen support in the press with regard to the decision of my benching in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup has left me deeply distressed, more because she knows the real facts having spoken to me.”

On Powar, she narrated a series of instances where she felt slighted by the coach.

“For instance, walking off if I am sitting anywhere around, watching in the nets when others bat but choosing to walk away when I am batting in nets, if I try to go up to him to talk to start looking into his phone and keep walking.

“It was embarrassing and very evident to everyone that I was being humiliated. Yet I never lost my cool,” she said.

Planning begins for six new townships along Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway

Nagpur : The Maharashtra government has started planning the development of six townships that will come up along the 701-km Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway by appointing consultants to prepare a development plan.

The proposed townships are meant to be self-sustaining hubs that will have commercial and residential clusters, as well as a few agro-based industries. MSRDC officials said the development of the 17 townships will also generate employment in the area.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), the nodal agency for chief minister Devendra Fadnavis’ pet project, has appointed companies such as Crisil and HCP to make plans for the six townships over the next year. The MSRDC wants to develop 17 such townships in all.

For now, plans will be prepared for 2,718.73 hectares, or two villages, in the Thane district; 1,133.02 hectares (seven villages) in Wardha; 1,944.07 hectares (three villages) in Buldhana; 1,967.95 hectares across four villages between Ahmednagar and Aurangabad districts; and 1,274.49 hectares (two villages) and 1048.52 hectares (four villages) in Aurangabad alone.

“As farmers have pooled their lands at these locations, we have appointed consultants to design the area. As and when farmers agree in the other areas, we will begin the process of appointing consultants there too,” said a senior official from MSRDC. Another senior official said farmers from three or four other areas have also given their consent.

The corporation had initially planned to develop 24 townships along the expressway. For the development of the expressway, the state government has taken a leaf out of Andhra Pradesh’s Amaravati model of land acquisition, and adopted the land-pooling method. The six townships will come up at locations where farmers have already pooled in their land. Accordingly, it will offer cash and developed annuity-based returns to the farmers, making them partners in the project.

Nagpur traffic police introduced a QR codes option in Autos

Nagpur: Auto-rickshaw QR codes have been introduced by traffic police in Nagpur city, located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The quick response (QR) codes have been implemented by the police to help ensure the city’s three-wheeler are a safe mode of public transportation for citizens.

The first auto-rickshaw QR codes have been distributed to 20 drivers across Nagpur, but this is only the start of the project. These special bar codes will give commuters who travel via rickshaw the chance to obtain the details of their driver. It will also give them the option to lodge a complaint through the QR code with Nagpur traffic police.

The codes will be posted in auto-rickshaws and passengers who have an iPhone or android smartphone can scan the code to obtain the driver’s details.

“The QR code system will help the commuters in a distress situation,” the deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Raj Tilak Roushan told.

“It has been introduced to curb crime and ensure safety of the citizens travelling in an autorickshaw” he added.

दिनदहाडे नागपुर पुलिस कॉन्स्टेबल को मारा चाकु

नागपुर: बीती रात यवतमाल में पुलिस हवलदार की हत्या और दो पुलिस कर्मी ओ पर हमला की वारदात को लेकर समुचे महाराष्ट्र पुलिस विभाग में हड़कम मच गया है। इतने बड़ी वारदात से दिन भर यह मामला गर्माया ही था की दि.२६ नवम्बर को दिन दहाड़े सुबह नागपुर के जरीपटका पुलिस थाना के एक पुलिस कॉन्स्टेबल को किसी ने चाकु मार दिया ।

नागपुर शहर में अपराधियों के दिन में दिन हौसले बुलंद होते जा रहे है। छोटी सी बात को लेकर हत्या , हत्या का प्रयास की वारदात को अंजाम दिया जा रहा है। नागपुर पुलिस अपरधियों पर अंकुश लगाने की बात तो करती रहती है लेकिन वास्तविकता कुछ और ही है।

दिनदहाडे नागपुर के जरीपटका थाने के पुलिस कॉन्स्टेबल को चाकु मारने की खबर आग के तरह नागपुर पुलिस विभाग फ़ैल गई। मामले की सच्चाई जानने में जुटे तब पता चला की जरीपटका के पुलिस कॉन्स्टेबल पदमाकर ऊके यह २६ नवंबर अपने रिस्तेदार के बेटे को परीक्षा केंद्र में छोड़ने जा रहे थे। गाडी में पेट्रोल कम होने के वजह से वह मार्टिन नगर के पेट्रोल पपं में पेट्रोल भरने के लाईन में खड़े थे। तभी पीछे से आकर दो युवक ने बिच में ही गाडी घुसाड दी तभी कुछ लाइन में लगे लोग चिल्लाने लगे और पुलिस सिपाही पद्माकर ऊके ने भी उन युवक का डाटा। तब वह युवक बोलने लगा की तु मुझे पहचानता नहीं क्या ? इस बात को लेकर पुलिस सिपाही और अज्ञात दो युवक से मारपीट शुरू हो गई।

दोनों युवक पुलिस सिपाही पर भारी पड़े। इतने में एक युवक ने फोन लगाकर अपने तीसरे साथीदार को बुला लिया। तीसरा युवक आते ही उसने पुलिस कॉन्स्टेबल पर घातक हथियार से वार कर दिया। तीनो लोग पुलिस सिपाही को मारने लगे तभी वहा कुछ लोग जमा होने लगे तो तीनो अपराधी किसम के युवक भाग गए। पुलिस सिपाही कुछ समज पाता तो उसके हातो से खून की धार बहने लगी। उसने हात का इलाज कर वह जरीपटका थाने जाकर तीन अज्ञात हमलावर के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कराई।

जरीपटका पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। जरीपटका के थानेदार पराग पोटे से बात की तो उन्होंन्हे बताया की पुलिस कॉन्स्टेबल यह साप्ताहिक छुट्टी पर था। और पुलिस के ड्रेस पर नहीं था। यदि पुलिस के ड्रेस पर रहता तो यह हमला नहीं हुवा रहता। और पुलिस सिपाही ने भी उन हमलावरों को नहीं बताया की वह पुलिस है खैर गौरतलब यह है की इतनी बड़ी वारदात हुई पुलिस सिपाही पर हमला हुवा लेकिन 9 घंटे बित जाने पर भी पुलिस ने अब तक उन अज्ञात हमलावरों को गिरफ्तार नहीं किया।
