Celebrate the onset of harvest festival with the goodness of almonds!

INDIA: Celebrated with much fervor, Makar Sankranti marks the end of winter and the beginning of a new harvest season. This vibrant harvest festival of India is known by different names in different parts of the country, although the essence of it remains the same. For instance, it is called Maghi and is preceded by Lohri in North India, Magh Bihu in North-east, Uttarayan in the West, Pongal in the South and Makar Sankranti in the East. Makar Sankrantri is a way of thanking nature for new crops.

As with all festivals and celebrations, people across the country indulge in a variety of foods, traditional sweets and savories during this time. But this occasion can also be an opportunity to start being more mindful of your eating habits. While family gatherings during such festivals would entail some guilty indulgences, swapping the regular sweet delicacies with an assortment of raw, flavored or salted nuts like almonds can be beneficial for health in the long run. Therefore, start this season on the right foot by cutting down on unhealthy fried foods and sweets, and snack on a handful of raw, flavoured or salted almonds instead.

Almonds are a “gift of good health” which you can give yourself as well as send across to family and friends. Nuts like almonds are known to be rich in nutrients like magnesium, copper and dietary fibre along with immunity-enhancing antioxidant vitamin E. Research supports multiple benefits to eating almonds, including supporting heart health, helping moderate blood sugar and enhancing satiety.

Speaking of mindful eating during festivities, Leading Bollywood Actress, Soha Ali Khan said, “For me, festivals like Makar Sankranti are a great time to reunite with friends and family. It gives us an excuse to indulge our sweet tooth in treats. However, I never lose sight of my healthy eating choices. To ensure I stay on track and keep junk food off the table, I always keep a bowl of almonds handy and sip on water through the day. We also tweak the festive recipes to make it healthier and more nutritious by adding ingredients like almonds and jaggery to them.”

According to well-known Fitness Expert and Celebrity Master Instructor, Yasmin Karachiwala said, “Binge eating and overindulgence during festivals are common in India. However, it’s important to hit pause and reflect on our lifestyle choices and the foods or snacks that we consume. I always recommend giving the festive snacks a healthy twist by adding nutritious ingredients to the mix. Snacking on a handful of almonds instead of munching on processed, oily or sweet foods is in itself a great choice. Almonds are a good source of energy and can help us stay full between meals .”

Sheela Krishnaswamy, Nutrition and Wellness Consultant said, “Many people often tend to take a break from their healthy eating habits during festivals. It’s common for most of us to indulge in food items that result in unwanted weight gain. So, if you are with your family and friends, and feel like munching on something, have a handful of almonds instead. Munching on almonds is a great way to keep hunger pangs at bay as they have satiating properties. This healthy and nutritious snack will surely give you more nutrients. Additionally, almonds are high in copper and a good source of zinc, which can strengthen the immune system. ”

Talking about the various benefits of almonds, Ritika Samaddar, Regional Head – Dietetics, Max Healthcare – Delhi, said, “Makar Sankranti is a festival which is celebrated throughout India. Traditional recipes made during this period are laden with ghee, sugar and are rich in calories. While we indulge in celebrations amidst the festive spirit, we should be more mindful of what we are eating. Replacing sugar with jaggery and adding nuts like almonds can make our snacks healthier and tastier. Research suggests that almonds can help lower the blood sugar impact of carbohydrate foods that they are eaten with, which affects fasting insulin levels . Eating almonds as part of a healthy diet has also been shown to help lower total and LDL cholesterol when included in a healthy diet and reduce levels of heart damaging inflammation .”

Integrative Nutritionist and Health Coach, Neha Ranglani mentioned, “It is that time of the year when we are set to celebrate the harvest season. While foods like laddoos and gajaks have been a traditional part of such celebrations, overconsumption of these kinds of indulgent foods can be harmful to our health in the long run. It is a far better option to incorporate healthier alternatives such as almonds into such occasions. Regular almond consumption can also be beneficial to the immune system as they are high in Vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant to support pulmonary immune function. Vitamin E is also known to offer protection against infections caused by viruses and bacteria .”

It is easy to lose sight of your health while indulging in these festive delicacies. Hence, it is important to stay disciplined in our eating habits. Incorporating small yet meaningful changes can go a long way in ensuring a better quality of life. So, make sure to opt for healthier alternatives like almonds while sharing the joy of this harvest season!

Delhi’s Private Offices Ordered To Close, Work From Home Only

New Delhi: All private offices in Delhi will send employees into Work-From-Home in new Covid rules to tackle the surge in cases. Only offices considered essential services will be exempted.
Till now, offices had been asked to function with half their employees in office and the rest at home. Government offices in the city are working with 50 percent attendance

Those exempted from the new rule include private banks, offices providing essential services, insurance companies, pharma companies, microfinance companies, lawyers’ offices and courier services.

The decision was taken by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).

Yesterday, Delhi shut restaurants and bars and said only takeaways and home delivery would be allowed.

Delhi reported over 19,000 new cases yesterday, marginally lower than Sunday’s 22,751. The positivity rate stood at 25 per cent yesterday, the highest since May 5. The city also reported 17 deaths.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said cases in the city are likely to peak “in one or two days, definitely this week”, and infections in the Third Wave will start dipping after that.

“The peak has already arrived, or will come in a day or two. It (peak) will happen this week definitely. Cases should start falling after that. But it’s possible we may enforce another curfew, just to remind people not to lower their guard,” Mr Jain told NDTV on Monday.

Across India, 1,68,063 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. Cases are down by 11,660 and the positivity rate has dipped from 13 per cent to around 10 per cent.

IDFC Mutual Fund Encourages Investors To Keep Emotions Out of Investing With Innovative Balanced Advantage Fund Campaign

Market volatility can lead investors to be driven by emotions and take irrational decisions. A disciplined asset allocation strategy can help reduce investment biases leading to better long-term results. This simple yet critical message forms the core of IDFC Mutual Fund’s latest investor awareness campaign which was launched today. Themed #InvestmentMeinNoEmotion (microsite: https://cutt.ly/vUJAlI1 ), the campaign highlights the Balanced Advantage Fund category as a potential solution to manage this behavioural dilemma. A Balanced Advantage Fund is a hybrid fund that invests in both debt and equity markets, adopting a dynamic asset allocation strategy that can actively rebalance the portfolio depending on market conditions.

Talking about the need for unemotional investing, Mr. Vishal Kapoor, CEO, IDFC Asset Management Company Limited (AMC) said, “It is only human to be emotional, whether it is anger, joy, fear or greed. However, avoiding these can help with better investment outcomes. For many investors, the fear of missing out or the greed of supernormal returns can override sensible investment decision-making. A Balanced Advantage Fund, through its dynamic allocation to equities and debt based on market conditions, can provide stability and better risk-adjusted returns over the long term. This in turn can help investors stay invested longer, and benefit from the growth potential of disciplined, long-term investing.”
Highlighting the focus of the campaign, Mr. Gaurab Parija, Head – Sales & Marketing, IDFC Asset Management Company Limited (AMC), added, “Investors look to grow their assets while aiming to limit the downside when markets correct. However, the challenge is to keep emotions out of investing. This is easier said than done as many of us are still taking early steps to the world of investing and find it difficult to navigate the volatility of the markets leading to very different experiences. Our latest campaign #InvestmentMeinNoEmotion deploys humor along with unique characterisation and an innovative storyboard urging investors to introspect and not let emotions cloud their investments when the market is being volatile.”

The campaign is showcased through two films featuring a chef and a musician, who unintentionally reveal embarrassing information about the inspiration behind their ‘talent’ while being swayed by their emotions, offering the viewer a chuckle while triggering an introspection. The films will be showcased across television as well as online media across various digital and social media platforms. A series of innovative creatives through outdoor media including hoardings across 15 cities will create additional visibility.

Established in 2000, IDFC AMC is focused on helping savers become investors and create wealth. It is one of India’s Top 10 asset managers with over Rs. 1,27,000 crore in average AUM in November 2021. With a seasoned management team, the AMC has branches in 45 cities and serves investors across over 750 locations in India. The AMC offers a range of prudently constructed investment products – across equities, fixed income, hybrid, and liquid alternatives – that aim to provide performance consistent with their well-defined objectives.

नागपुरात ओमायक्रॉनचा समूह संंसर्ग!

Nagpur sees 17 new Corona cases

Wockhardt Hospitals’ Dr. Nitin Tiwari performs first BTV in Central India on patient with Eisenmenger syndrome

Innovative Angioplasty – Another First in Central India by Dr. Nitin Tiwari

Nagpur: Dr. Nitin Tiwari, Sr. Interventional Cardiologist- Wockhardt Hospital, Nagpur has recently performed first ever Balloon Tricuspid Valvuloplasty on patient with Eisenmenger syndrome in Central India. This is first such case reported till now. The procedure- BTV was performed on a 52-year-old woman who had arrived in emergency department of the hospital.

At the arrival, she had complaints of shortness of breath, abdominal distension, swelling all over the body and was discolored blue on lips, fingers, eyes. Even her skin had a bluish tinge. Immediately, her 2D-Echo was performed in which she was diagnosed to have Eisenmenger syndrome with Tricuspid Stenosis. Tricuspid stenosis is the choking of right sided inflow of the heart due to which there is swelling all over the body, breathlessness and abdominal distension.

The patient had to undergo a procedure called Balloon Tricuspid Valvuloplasty in which a small puncture is made in the groin. The balloon is then passed across the choked tricuspid valve and is inflated so that the choked valve gets opened. This decreases the pressure in heart immediately.

The team also included Dr. Sameet Pathak, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon and Dr. Pankaj Jain Chaudhary, Anesthetist.

“Eisenmenger syndrome is a long term complication of an unrepaired heart defect (hole) that someone is born with (congenital). The syndrome usually develops due to an unrepaired congenital hole between the chambers of heart”, informed Dr. Tiwari. “In such defects, blood flows in a way it normally does not. This increases the pressure in the pulmonary artery. Over the time, this increased pressure damages walls of blood vessels and makes it difficult to get the bloods pumped into lungs”, he added.

This syndrome causes increased blood pressure in the right side of the heart which leads to mixing of low oxygenated blue blood with oxygen rich blood in the left side. In turn, this decreases the overall content of oxygen level in the blood and causes a bluish tint in the skin. It occurs in 1-6% of patients born with heart defects and no such case with Tricuspid stenosis has been reported so far.

4 years after engagement, Pakistan bride allowed to enter India for marriage with Nagpurian

NAGPUR: Vandana Keswani, of Sukkur town of Pakistan’s Sindh province, was 25 years old when she got engaged to Nagpur’s Anil Jhamnani, then 26. They are set to marry after a four year wait, as strained ties between the two countries followed by Covid kept the couple away from each other.
Now 29 years old, Vandana crossed the border last week as part of special crossovers arranged from time to time. In the meantime, Anil, who was a Pakistani citizen living in India on a long-term visa (LTV), has become an Indian citizen. The marriage has been fixed for December 13.

The couple may set an example of unflinching love and patience, but their story also points to continuing people to people interaction between the two countries. This goes on even as curbs on cross border travel continue following Covid. During the pandemic, the borders were closed, leaving people on both sides stranded for nearly a year. The ban on movement has only been partially eased.

Rajesh Jhambia, leader of Sindhi-Hindi Panchayat, an organization of migrants from India took up the couple’s case. Amid tense moments, both families had decided to wait.

The couple was engaged in May 2018, and after the marriage date was fixed a year later, the girl’s family applied for a visa to India. In that time the surgical strikes took place and visas for Pakistanis trying to enter India were denied. This continued for nearly a year. In their second attempt, the visa was rejected due to technical reasons, and then Covid shut down the borders.

Recently, the boy’s family obtained Indian citizenship. This bolstered the case to push for her visa on the grounds that she was getting married to an Indian citizen, said Jhambia. Vandana got a spouse visa early this year but movement across the border remained restricted.

In July, Vandana and her family were finally allowed to cross over by air. Due to the high cost involved, they chose to wait till the land borders opened. This happened only on November 3, when Vandana crossed over with 140 odd persons.

Vandana is, however, coming all the way alone. “The list of persons crossing over on November 3 also had names of my parents. However, my sister’s marriage has been fixed and they had to stay back,” she told TOI.

Vandana is now staying with her relatives, and hopes her parents are able to reach India to attend her marriage. “The government should consider my case and my parents should be included in next crossover, so that they can be in India to attend my marriage,” she said.
During the four-year-long wait, the couple decided to hold on to the relationship. “I have only seen her during the video call at engagement. We were introduced by a relative. Over the last four years, we have been talking regularly and I find her to be compatible. So I decided to wait,” says Ajit.

“There were moments when I spoke of breaking the marriage, but that was only out of frustration and did not really mean it,” he says.
It was a tough time, especially for the girl’s family, added Jhambia. It’s time the situation on the borders is normalised, he said.

The 144 persons who crossed on November 3 includes stranded Indian nationals in Pakistan, as well as Pakistani nationals coming here on fresh visa. There is a third category of Pakistani citizens living in India, who had gone there for a visit and are now returning. More such persons have also gone recently for brief visits to Pakistan on no-objection return to India (NORI) visas.

Ajit’s family had come to India in 1991 and settled in Amravati. They returned in 2006 after their passport expired and came back a year later, after which they have been living in Nagpur.

Touching compelling themes like the value of human life, medical malpractice, class divide and ramifications of a fast-paced medical science, Human brings forth the greed to make money in a compelling tale of power struggles, secretive pasts, trauma and murders.

Talking about the series, producer and director Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, “Human delves into the complexities of human nature with a backdrop of the medical world. It explores the dark and twisted world of unethical human trials in a provocative yet real and gritty manner. It showcases aspects of the unknown medical world laden with suspense at every turn. Mozez Singh and Ishani Banerjee have done a wonderful job with the script and the incredibly talented ensemble starcast makes Human an exciting watch.”

Sharing his experience of working on the script of Human, writer and director, Mozez Singh said, “Human is a series that deals with a very unique take on life and death. It questions the value of human life and the extent human beings will go to run away from their grief, guilt and shame. The repercussions of this can have extreme effects on the lives of the people involved, creating escalating drama and conflict between all of them and allowing the narrative to be truly explosive, especially when you throw in the barriers of class into the mix. Getting to explore all of the above with my co-writer Ishani Banerjee and the rest of the writers room was a true honour and I’m extremely grateful to Sunshine Pictures for giving me the opportunity. This was an intense project for me as it has several elements that resonated with me. On a personal level and therefore I was constantly inspired and determined to give my best. I’m proud of what we have delivered.”

Actor Shefali Shah, who is playing the lead character of Dr. Gauri Nath, in the series said, “Human as a series is extremely relevant and relatable in today’s time. When I read the script, I couldn’t help but imagine our current scenario, a world of hospitals and vaccine trials. It makes one question humanity and everything that transpires to keep it intact. Gauri Nath is someone you rarely come across. It’s one of the most complicated characters I’ve ever played, and completely out of my comfort zone. She is unpredictable and indecipherable. Human is a Pandora’s box of emotions, actions and consequences. And you’d never know what hit you from the dark depths of its complexities.”

Actor Kirti Kulkarni, playing Dr. Saira Sabarwal in the series said,“It has been an absolute pleasure and thrill to play the role of Dr. Saira Sabharwal. It’s the first time that I am playing a doctor on screen, a world that I am not completely unfamiliar with as my sister and brother in law are doctors. I did get a lot of insight by speaking to both of them and other doctors. During that phase, I would get into a conversation with whichever doctor I met which could help me with my character. Apart from that, Human is such a layered and complex story, it immediately pulled me towards it. Also the fact that Shefali Shah would be a part of the same show with me, really excited me. She is someone I really look up to and I have truly enjoyed her work as an actor and I was thrilled to share screen space with her. The show also has other wonderful actors and I also met a psychologist to discuss some aspects of my character. I basically got into the mindsets and world of the doctors, speaking to various people and understanding various aspects of how they function in the workspace and outside of it. It’s the first time I am playing a doctor and it’s a thrilling experience, my fans too are going to really enjoy my role of Dr. Saira Sabharwal. Super excited for Human.”

Synopsis: A pharma giant is using India’s lax clinical trial rules to fast track the development of a new drug, despite lethal side effects. Meanwhile, 35-year-old Dr. Saira Sabharwal lands a dream job in Bhopal’s premier hospital under the mentorship of the iconic 45-year-old Dr. Gauri Nath. Saira grows under Gauri’s tutelage and as the two women start to form a deep bond over their commitment to the medical cause. However a shocking discovery throws their life into chaos as their story becomes intertwined with that of a young migrant worker, Mangu (20 years), who is all set to wreak havoc on the medical system.

Sayantani Ghosh aka Daljeet Bagga as the actress completes a year on Sony SAB’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main

It is a special time for Sayantani Ghosh aka Daljeet Bagga of Sony SAB’s light-hearted family show Tera Yaar Hoon Main, as the actress completes one year with the show. Audiences have been loving her feisty, outspoken Punjabi at-heart persona as she takes us through her exciting journey with her husband Rajeev and their kids.

Talking about her journey as Daljeet on the show, Sayantani said, “I still remember I was at home in Kolkata on a Christmas break when I got the call to play Daljeet. I have a special equation with Shashi Sumeet Productions, and I got to be a part of Sony SAB for the first time in a light-hearted comedy genre and also play a Punjabi girl, which I’ve never done before, so it was a no brainer for me and I jumped onto the opportunity. I also received an award for ‘The Most Popular Face’ last week, so I’m very grateful that the fans connected with Daljeet and showed her so much love. My entire journey has been absolutely great, and I’ve juggled between two contrasting emotions – getting married in real life and being the happiest that I have ever been, as well as playing a distressed mother in reel life. It was challenging yet a gratifying experience for me as an actor.”

Sayantani further talks about her character Daljeet and her equation with her co-actors, “What makes Daljeet so special is that she wears her heart on her sleeves and speaks her mind. She is a strong independent woman who brilliantly managed being a single mother and a career-oriented woman at the same time. It was beautiful to see that when life gave her a second chance with love, she took it with a stride, and the fans really loved Daljeet and Rajeev’s pair and called them Daljeev. My bond with the cast and crew is fantastic, my director Pushkar and my co-star Sudeep who are both Punjabis really helped me in getting my character right. I think our off-screen bond beautifully reflects on-screen. I also share a special bond with the kids on set, they really look up to me professionally and personally and we have a lot of fun. I feel blessed to see that the love of my fans continues to grow with every new character, they are my strength and I would only wish that this love continues to pour in.”

Keep watching Tera Yaar Hoon Main from Monday to Saturday at 10 PM only on Sony SAB

&TV stars share memorable moments from 2021 and their 2022 resolution

The new year is when we look back and reflect upon the whole year, what new we have experienced, what great we have achieved and what more to explore. With 2022 is just around the corner, &TV stars Siddharth Arora (Mahadev, Baal Shiv), Shrenu Parikh (Genda Agarwal, Ghar Ek Mandir-Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki), Ambrish Bobby (Ramesh Prasad Mishra, Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?), Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), Aasif Sheikh (Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) share their memorable moments of 2021 and their 2022 resolutions.

Siddharth Arora (Mahadev) from &TV’s Baal Shiv shares, “2021 was very special to me. I got an opportunity to play the character of Lord Shiva and mark the beginning of Baal Shiv in my city in the presence of a crowd gathered in lakhs. I have been a part of Dev Deepawali numerous times, but this year it was surreal. Getting on stage in Mahadev’s attire and interacting with the crowd was an experience of a lifetime. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. As for 2022, the only resolution I have is to continue to work harder and emerge stronger. Self-care is important, and in our busy schedules, we often tend to ignore it. But for me, overall wellbeing is crucial. I intend to continue working upon myself – physically, professionally, and mentally. I am planning to welcome this year with my close ones and with the blessings of Mahadev.”

Shrenu Parikh (Genda Agarwal) from &TV’s Ghar Ek Mandir-Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki shares, “2021 has been an amazing year for me. After being affected by COVID, I was very demotivated and felt lost, but with the blessings of my family and fans, I had a great comeback this year. With God’s grace in 2021, my family and I have been safe and healthy, and we have started practising healthy lifestyle habits. That change is the best moment of 2021 for me. As a resolution for 2022, I have decided to focus on health and lifestyle a notch higher by incorporating a proper diet plan for my family and me. And I am excited as I am going to welcome the new year with my family, and what is a better way to celebrate something new than with your family.”

Ambrish Bobby (Ramesh Prasad Mishra) from &TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? shares, “For me, the best thing that has happened this year will be none other than my show Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? The show has given me a lot of love, fame, and an incredible family away from family. The show will always remain special in my life, and I cannot thank 2021 enough for bringing me this. All I expect in 2022 is to get a lot of joy and happiness in everyone’s life and keep us safe and healthy. As a new year resolution, I intend to be more physically active. I plan to incorporate the habit of walking every day, eating a balanced diet, and ensuring I have some time to focus on myself. A healthy lifestyle is extremely crucial. As for my celebration plans, I will be mostly celebrating with my on-set family and have a small get together with them and then will end the celebration with my wife and children at home.”

Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh) from &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan shares, “The most unexpected thing that happened this year for me was the mobile game Happu Ki Nikli Savaari! I was always fascinated by games but being featured in one is a next-level achievement. Seeing people play and enjoy the game gave me immense happiness, and when I saw my son playing, it was a very special moment for me. I hope and look forward to great things in 2022 and continue to entertain my beloved audience. My resolution for 2022 is to spend more quality time with my family, and I will be welcoming the new year with them.”

Aasif Sheikh (Vibhuti Narayan Mishra) from &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Every year something or the other happens, but 2021 will be forever cherished in my heart as I was honoured with World Book of Records. As artists, we usually do not realize the work we do amidst the journey of creating more and entertaining people, but only when someone recognizes your hard work with such awards is when you know that you have gained something out of it. I am glad to be a part of this industry that is so passionate about the craft and recognizes your contribution. The honour has motivated me to work harder and keep entertaining the people in 2022. I do not believe in resolutions, but one thing I can promise is whatever I do, I will do it with complete dedication.”

Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi) from &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai shares, “Personally, 2021 has been a good year for me. I can proudly say I have completed my 2021 resolution of eating healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And I will continue to do so in the coming year. My resolution for 2022 is to learn guitar and do an Instagram concert next December for my audience(Laughs). I aim to start the year on a happy and peaceful note. So, my plan for New Year night is to sip on a cup of hot chocolate while watching my favourite movie near the bonfire with my close friends and family. Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous New Year!”

Doctors vs Police At Delhi Hospital As NEET Admissions Protest Escalates

New Delhi: Resident doctors had a faceoff with policemen at south Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital this afternoon after they were stopped from marching to the Supreme Court. The issue of delayed admissions to medical colleges under the NEET postgraduate exam is being heard by the Supreme Court. Counselling for admissions is on hold.
The protesting doctors have said the delay in college allotments after the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, or NEET, postgraduate exam was unacceptable. The resident doctors’ groups in Delhi have threatened a complete shutdown of medical services.

The police have shut all the main gates at Safdarjung Hospital, just next to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, or AIIMS, to prevent the protesting doctors from leaving.

The NEET was scheduled in December 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam was finally held in September this year. But counselling for admissions for entry to medical colleges got delayed, which sparked the protest.

“We are protesting as a last resort. The government is not listening. What should we do?” a resident doctor in a large crowd of slogan-shouting protesters told NDTV.

The doctors have alleged Delhi Police personnel manhandled them during their protest last night. The police have, however, denied they used excess force. Dramatic visuals from last night showed policemen and doctors engaged in scuffles. Earlier in the day the protesters were stopped from marching to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya’s home.

Quotes from Sony SAB artists for New Year

Mithil Jain aka Rohit from Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein:

“Every year, I resolve to be more honest and work on becoming a better version of myself- a better human, actor, son and father. For me, the ideal way to celebrate is to just be with family and friends and keep it close-knit. I really hope everyone celebrates safely and responsibly, we’ve seen some of the toughest times this year, and it’s even more important to be safe and with the near and dear ones. Love yourself, love others and be a better you this new year!”

Kinjal Pandya aka Preeti from Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein:

“This year has been a complete rollercoaster for me, both personally and professionally. As I look back, I feel every experience has taught me something new and that takeaway has changed me as a person and as an actor. This year, my resolution is to focus on self-care, achieve my fitness goals, be healthier and travel whenever and wherever I can. I wish everyone a Happy New year! May this new year bring a lot of joy, positivity, and abundance to your life. And don’t forget to live in the present and live your life to the fullest.”

Nasirr Khan aka Niranjan Toshniwal from Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein:

“This year has only been about memories, with my loved ones and especially with my on-screen Shubh-Laabh family. My only mantra is to re-invent, unlearn, and learn new things, every year. My goal is to be fitter and healthier in the coming year. I only wish that everyone is happy, healthy, safe and with their families – that’s the best way to ring in the new year.”

Simple Kaul as Koel from Ziddi Dil- Maane Na:

“I don’t believe in resolutions anymore as I fail to keep up with it. I believe in one day at a time and going with the flow. For me it is about celebrating togetherness and ringing in the New Year with positivity and with the energy of love. I always celebrate New Year’s with my friends and family, and we go for a nice dinner. I wish everyone a very Happy and Safe New Year!”

Aditya Deshmukh aka Special Agent Faizi from Ziddi Dil – Maane Na:

“Last year, I got to spend a lot of time with my family, we watched a lot of movies, played games and spent memorable moments together. It was also a special year on the professional front as I got to be a part of Ziddi Dil Maane Na and my character Faizi has taught me a lot. With every year, my resolution is to work hard and live up to everyone’s expectations and keep entertaining my fans with my performances. I wish to continue that in the coming year with Ziddi Dil and travel to Maldives to have good quality time. My only learning year after year has been that no matter what, you should always stay humble and keep the humility alive. I have a friend whose birthday is on 31st December, so every year we just go to his place and celebrate his birthday and New Year’s Eve together. We cut a cake, share gifts with each other and have a good time. I hope everyone out there is enjoying the festive cheer and truly living it up, but with utmost safety! I wish everyone a great start to the year.”

Angad Hasija aka Kundan from Ziddi Dil – Maane Na:

“This year was really good for me, it brought a new change in my life as I ventured into movies for the first time with my Punjabi film which will release soon. If I had to give 2021 a label, I would call it ‘Different Opportunities.’ An actor grows a lot in life so if I compare myself from who I used to be and who I am now, and there is a lot of change. I always celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Gurudwara and celebrate with my friends on 1st Jan. This is something I have been doing for years and hope to do it this year as well. I will be coming to television very soon as Kundan Ji with a different look in Ziddi Dil Maane Na, so I urge everyone to watch it and tell me how you liked my performance.”

Sumeet Raghavan as Rajesh Wagle from Wagle Ki Duniya:

“It’s been really long since I stopped New Year resolutions. I will be celebrating New Years on the sets of Wagle Ki Duniya because we are shooting, which is great because last year we were at home, so this year it is great to be back to work. I want to tell my fans to take care of themselves and stay safe from the new variant and keep showering all your love on the Wagle’s.”
