Man shoots dead neighbour’s pet dog for biting his wife: Police

Man shoots dead neighbour's pet dog for biting his wife: Police

Indore: A man was arrested today in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore for allegedly shooting dead his neighbour’s pet dog, after it bit his wife, the police said.
Narendra Vishvaiyya, 53, was arrested under relevant section of the Indian penal Code for “mischief by killing or maiming cattle, etc.”, police officer Manish Mahor said.

The accused, a resident of Indore’s Sudama Nagar, was angry that the dog had allegedly bit his wife, and shot the animal with his licensed rifle on Wednesday night, the official said.

A bullet hit the animal on the neck, killing him on the spot, he said.

The accused claimed that the dog had also bit others in the locality, the official said, adding that if the accused’s claims are found to be true, appropriate legal action will be taken against the owner of the pet as well.

Granting indemnity to Pfizer, Moderna will help not just kids, but also adults, says AIIMS Chief

Granting indemnity to Pfizer, Moderna will help not just kids, but also adults, says AIIMS Chief

Granting indemnity to Pfizer and Moderna will boost Covid-19 vaccination for not just children, but also adults, said AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria in an interview.

The Centre may grant indemnity from liability to Pfizer and Moderna to speed up approvals for the vaccines in India, health ministry sources indicated on Wednesday. A top official with the government has said that “there is no issue” in granting indemnity to the two giants in India and the approval will be in line with the approach taken by US and other countries administering both vaccines.

On the Government of India granting indemnity for bridging trials for Pfizer, Dr Guleria said, “It’ll help for not only children but adults also”.

“This has been done in the past too when the government gave emergency approvals to all vaccines that had been approved by agencies of US, UK or EU and WHO. Based on that, emergency approvals have already been given de-facto to vaccines with approvals from these agencies and the issue of indemnity also seems to be resolved. So, I think we will have Pfizer vaccine coming in for children and adults shortly,” the top pulmonologist said.

Responding to why norms were not eased before, Dr Guleria said, “There are two things here. First, to look at emerging data. There wasn’t enough data to be comfortable with. I am not the part of the group that decides this, but there wasn’t enough data for the vaccine to be given comfortably to Indians. There have been side-affects with European population so you have to be really careful. The first principle is you don’t want to cause more harm than good. As the vaccine rollout happened it became clear that a large number of vaccinated in UK and the US were of Indian origin and in them there were no side-effects and therefore we felt now we have enough data globally to say that we can approve the vaccines.

Amid reports that the Indian government may grant indemnity to Pfizer and Moderna to hasten the vaccination process in India, the Serum Institute of India on Thursday also asked for indemnity from liability, saying all vaccine makers, whether Indian or foreign, should be granted the same protection. The government has so far not given any manufacturer indemnity or protection against legal action for any severe side effects. As the issue gains traction, here’s what indemnity means and how it will aid the vaccination process in India.

Indemnity means protection to vaccine makers from legal proceedings, which ensures they can’t be sued in India. No other vaccine maker in India enjoys this clause. However, Pfizer and Moderna have said they will export to India only if the transaction is with the Centre and the company is protected from legal cases.

While Pfizer and Moderna have raised the demand, the Serum Institute of India on Thursday said the same protection should be provided to all vaccine makers. Pfizer and Moderna, which are among the best shots in the international market and more than 90 per cent effective, have been approved by more than 40 countries, including US and Britain.

As per Niti Ayog member VK Paul, “They have requested indemnity to all the nations, including the country of origin. We are examining this request and will take a decision in the larger interest of people and on merit. This is under discussion and there is no decision as of now.”

IPL 2021 : KKR

Petrol, diesel prices increased again on Friday, rates at new high

Petrol and Diesel Price Today in India: A litre of petrol costs Rs 94.76 in Delhi as compared with Rs 94.49 a litre on Thursday. Diesel is retailing at Rs 85.66 a litre, 28 paise more than yesterday’s price.

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices on Friday (June 4) climbed to new highs across the country after they were increased for the 18th time Since May 4. Petrol price was hiked by 27 paise per litre and diesel by 28 paise across the country.

The pump price of petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 94.76 per litre from Rs 94.49, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 85.66 a litre from Rs 85.38, as per data from the Indian Oil Corporation website. The hike on Friday is the 18th increase in prices since May 4, when state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) firms ended an 18-day pause in rate revision they followed during assembly elections in several states. In 18 hikes, petrol price has risen by Rs 4.36 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.93 a litre in the national capital.

It is worth mentioning here that OMCs on Thursday kept auto fuels rates static across the country for the second consecutive day.

Citizens in Mumbai have to pay Rs 100.98 for a litre of petrol after a 26 paise rise over Thursday’s rate. A litre of diesel costs Rs 92.99 paise, 30 paise more than yesterday’s price of Rs 92.69 a litre. Similarly, in Kolkata, the pump price of petrol was hiked by 26 paise to Rs 94.76 a litre, from Rs 94.50 recorded on Thursday. Diesel costs Rs 88.51 a litre, 28 paise more than Thursday’s price. In Chennai, petrol hit an all-time high of Rs 96.23 a litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 90.38 per litre.

Following the recent increases in the last one month, petrol prices have already breached the Rs 100-mark in several states such as Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Bhopal became the first state capital to have petrol register the century mark followed by Jaipur and Mumbai. Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan has the highest level of petrol at Rs 105.80 a litre while diesel prices there as well is closing on the three-figure mark remaining at Rs 98.63 a litre.

Worth mentioning here is that as per dynamic pricing, state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) revise the retail prices of petrol and diesel on a daily basis. Plus, auto fuel prices are dependent on Brent crude oil rates as India imports around 85 per cent of its fuel requirements.

On Friday, in the global oil market, Brent Crude oil futures were trading at $71.02 per barrel, down 29 cents, or 0.4 per cent, from their last close. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures declined by 29 cents, or 0.4 per cent, to $68.52 per barrel. It is worth noting that Brent crude oil has surged 36 per cent this year to more than $70 a barrel, and this has triggered a hike in retail transportation fuel prices.

Here’s what you pay for a litre of petrol and diesel in your city after the latest hike on June 4.

Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Bhoot Police’ to release on OTT platform

Saif Ali Khan-starrer 'Bhoot Police' to release on OTT platform

Considering how the pandemic continues to ravage through the country with multiple lockdowns in several states, Saif Ali Khan-starrer Bhoot Police will be released on an OTT platform. The news was confirmed by film producer Ramesh Taurani. Taurani mentioned that he had no option since theatres will not be opening before November 2021, and that too at 50 percent capacity. He further mentioned that the way things are going, it is still going to take a lot of time to get back to old times. The news only goes on to show how the pandemic has affected several businesses, especially the entertainment industry that has been trying to get back to its feet since 2020.

Bhoot Police is a horror comedy film that also stars Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Taurani further told the daily that he discussed the plan of releasing the movie on the OTT platform with the actors and nobody had any objection to his call of not waiting till the theatres open. He said that he was supposed to release Bhoot Police in September 2021. The producer also felt that it would be better in the present scenario if he could just stick to his original month. Hence, Bhoot Police will be released on OTT mostly in September, or October.

The producer is quite satisfied with the deal he has made with the OTT platform for his movie to release. Taurani said that though he does not discuss money in the public domain, he can assure that he has not been shortchanged. However, Taurani also mentioned that his first preference remains to be a proper theatrical release.

Bhoot Police is directed by Pawan Kripalani, and will trace the story of a group of ghost hunters and their hilarious adventures.

India to send around 190-strong contingent to Olympics: Narinder Batra

India to send around 190-strong contingent to Olympics: Narinder Batra

The Indian contingent for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics is expected to be around 190, including over 100 athletes, IOA president Narinder Batra said on Thursday as Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju unveiled the official kits for the country’s participants.

So far, 100 athletes have qualified for the Tokyo Games, including 56 men and 44 women. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) expects another 25 to 35 to make the cut for the Games, which open on July 23.

“…we are estimating to touch 125 to 135 (qualified athletes) by the next two to three weeks when the qualification process is over,” Batra said during the online ceremony.
“This means the Indian contingent, including officials and support staff, is likely to be around 190,” he added.

The number of officials cannot be more than one-third of the athlete group as per the Sports Ministry rules. The ministry can, however, allow additional officials at no cost to the government.

Batra also reiterated that India’s medal haul can touch the double-digit mark in Tokyo, which will be an unprecedented achievement.

The IOA chief said that all the athletes who have qualified for the Olympics have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine except for a few who have recently contracted the virus.

He requested Rijiju to ensure that all the Indian athletes are fully vaccinated before they head to Tokyo.

“The IOC will issue a Playbook (latest version) this month but there will be only minor changes (from earlier version). We have to follow all the health and safety protocols in view of the pandemic.”

Unveiling the official kits of the Indian contingent, Rijiju said the whole country is behind the athletes.

“Olympics is the platform where the best in the world will compete. I hope our athletes will make their best effort and make the country proud by winning medals,” he said.

“Today, the Prime Minister took a review of the country’s preparation for the Olympics and assured the participating athletes that the entire country is behind them,” he added.

He said his ministry has provided all kinds of support — financial and logistical — to the athletes amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The official kits are sponsored by Li Ning while the official ceremonial kits are sponsored by Raymonds.

IOA Secretary General Rajiv Mehta said that four sets of official kits will be given to each athlete and more than 100 kits have been kept aside as contingency.

“We have received the health protocols the athletes have to follow. There will be double testing of athletes before departure. All these things, we will work out with the chef-de-mission and his deputy,” Mehta said.

Six Olympic-bound athletes, including Neeraj Chopra, Bajrang Punia, Ravi Dahiya, Sumit Malik and Seema Bisla, were present.

Chef de Mission of the Indian contingent B P Baishya and his deputy Prem Chand Verma were also present.

Choksi’s brother paid Dominican Oppn leader for pushing his abduction theory, say sources

ROSEAU :
INDIAN-BORN fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi’s brother, who is also a bank defaulter, has allegedly promised election funding to Dominica’s Leader of the Opposition Lennox Linton in exchange for pushing Mehul’s abduction theory, ‘Associates Times’ reported citing sources. The sources said, Chetan Chinu Bhai Choksi had met Linton on May 30, where they discussed several aspects related to Mehul Choksi’s arrest and agreed on the commitment that in exchange for token money and promise of election donation, the Opposition leader will press the matter in Parliament. They also confirmed to ‘Associates Times’ that Chetan disclosed during the conversation that Mehul had reached Dominica on his own, but they require the assistance of the Opposition to tackle the matter in court and against the Dominica Government to make them believe that he was abducted by Antiguan and Indian police. Sources said, Chetan gave Linton token money of USD 2,00,000 and promised him more than a million-dollar of financial assistance in the upcoming general elections, in exchange Linton would issue statements favouring Mehul.
‘Associates Times’ reported that Linton, who had remained mum on the matter, has now aggressively initiated his attacks on the Government after the meeting with Mehul Choksi’s brother. It also reported that the Dominican Leader of Opposition has a long history of taking money from people for delivering unauthorised promises. ‘Al Jazeera’ reported that in 2019, Linton had promised a diplomatic passport to some investor in exchange for election funds amounting to about USD 2,00,000. In October 2017, Linton also allegedly supported the separation propaganda of Brahim Ghali, who is facing critical criminal charges in the National Court of Spain.
This image of the leader has raised questions on his instant stand in favour of Mehul Choksi, who is wanted for fraud charges in India. However, in an exclusive interview with ANI, Linton denied the allegations, claiming that he has never known or met Chetan Choksi. “I don’t know Chetan Choksi, I have never seen Chetan Choksi. I’ve never spoken to or with Chetan Choksi, I think there is an online story coming from a publication called Something times, I’ve never seen this website. I think this publication must be associated with passport selling friends of some of these Governments in the region,” he told ANI.

Serum Institute asks for Indemnity, says “Same rules for all”: Sources

Serum Institute asks for Indemnity, says "Same rules for all": Sources

After Pfizer and Moderna, Covishield-maker Serum Institute of India (SII) has asked for indemnity from liability, according to sources. All vaccine makers, whether Indian or foreign, should be granted the same protection, the Adar Poonawalla-led company has reportedly told the government.
“Not just Serum Institute of India (SII), all the vaccine companies should get indemnity protection against liabilities if foreign companies are granted it,” Serum sources said today.

“Serum is hoping that rules should be same for everyone,” the sources added.

The Serum Institute produces Covishield – the Indian name for Oxford-AstraZeneca’s shot – and is involved in trials for three new anti-Covid vaccines.

Advanced trials are on for Covovax being developed in collaboration with the pharma company Novovax. Codagenix, a single-dose nasal vaccine, is in phase 1/2 trials in the UK. The third, SpyBiotech, is a novel virus-like particle vaccine, which is also in trials.

The government has so far not given any manufacturer indemnity or protection against legal action for any severe side effects.

This is a key condition put forth by foreign vaccine-makers Pfizer and Moderna for supplying to India.

Yesterday, Health Ministry sources said other countries have granted this concession and “there is no problem” in granting indemnity or legal protection from any claims linked to the use of a company’s COVID-19 vaccine.

“If these companies have applied for Emergency Use Authorisation in India then we are ready to give them indemnity,” the sources said.

“It is expected that they will be granted indemnity against legal proceedings along the lines of what has been allowed in other countries for Pfizer and Moderna,” they added.

Countries like the US have granted indemnity from liability to these companies for the possibility of something going wrong with their vaccines. They cannot be sued for compensation if there are any adverse effects from the shot.

Sources say Pfizer’s demand for sovereign indemnity is a tough call; no other vaccine manufacturer has secured this so far.

“Pfizer continues to remain engaged with the government of India towards making its COVID-19 vaccine available for use in the government immunisation program in the country. As these discussions are ongoing, we are unable to share any additional details at this time,” a Pfizer spokesperson said on Wednesday.

“We are engaged with Pfizer and they have indicated the availability of a certain amount of vaccine in the coming months, possibly starting in July and we are looking at what their expectations from the government are and they are looking at what our expectations from them are,” VK Paul, the head of the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration had said last month.

“They have requested indemnity to all the nations including the country of origin. We are examining this request and will take a decision in the larger interest of people and on merits,” Dr Paul had said.

Maharashtra govt fixes Covid-19 treatment cost for private hospitals

Maharashtra govt fixes Covid-19 treatment cost for private hospitals

The Maharashtra government has issued a notification to fix the cost of treatment of Covid-19 patients at private hospitals in different cities across the state. As per the notification, the cost of treatment at a private hospital will now depend on its location, and the cost in hospitals in rural areas will be lower than those in urban centres.

The decision was taken amid several complaints from the public that some hospitals were fleecing people in the name of Covid-19 treatment amid the pandemic.

The notification has classified cities and areas in Maharashtra into A, B and C groups.

The Chief Minister’s Office has directed all district collectors and municipal commissioners to ensure strict and effective compliance of the new rules.

“The notification of charging for 80 per cent beds for the treatment of Covid-19 patients in private hospitals as per the rates fixed by the government, and for the remaining 20 per cent beds as per the rates fixed by private hospitals came to an end yesterday. While extending it on June 1, the rates have been revised according to the classification of cities,” the Chief Minister’s Office said.

In the previous notification, the treatment rates were the same for hospitals in big cities and those in remote areas. The new classification of cities and treatment cost is expected to bring relief to people in rural areas, as the treatment cost is likely to be relatively low.

The notification makes it mandatory for people to pay only the pre-audited rate for treatment at the hospital concerned. Apart from this, provision has also been made in the notification to re-inspect and take action on high-charging hospitals by flying squads, said Dr Sudhakar Shinde, Chief Executive Officer, State Health Guarantee Society.

Categories of cities
Class A cities include Mumbai and the Mumbai metropolitan areas (excluding Bhiwandi, Vasai-Virar), Pune and Pune metropolitan areas, Nagpur (Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Digdoh, Wadi)

Mumbai: In a bid to contain the COVID-19 spread in the rural areas, the Maharashtra government on Wednesday (June 2) launched a ‘corona free village’ contest with prize money up to Rs 50 lakh.

Announcing the “My Village Corona Free” initiative recently, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray hailed the efforts of the villagers in containing the infection.

State Rural Development Minister Hasan Mushrif said that a ‘corona free village’ contest is a part of the initiative.

The prize money will be given to the best three village panchayats that excel in COVID-19 management.

“The first prize will be of Rs 50 lakh, second of Rs 25 lakh and third of Rs 15 lakh,” the minister.

“There are six revenue divisions in the state, hence there will be a total of 18 prizes. The total prize money is Rs 5.4 crore,” he added.

The villages which win the contest will also get an additional amount equivalent to the prize money as encouragement, and it will be utilized for development works in those villages, the minister said.

Not Just Limbs and Brain, Covid-19 Now Causing Clots in Intestine Leading to Gangrene

Not Just Limbs and Brain, Covid-19 Now Causing Clots in Intestine Leading to Gangrene

As if tri-coloured fungi, diminished lung capacity and clots in the arteries of limbs, heart and brain were not enough, Covid-19 patients are now having intestinal clots and gangrene.

According to a report, across city hospitals in Mumbai, nearly a dozen cases have been treated by physicians and surgeons, who caution that complaints of unexplained stomach pain should be investigated.

Studies have shown that around 16-30 per cent of Covid-19 patients also have gastrointestinal symptoms and have minimal to no signs. Patients with intestinal clots can come with acute mesenteric ischemia, a rare abdominal emergency associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality.

Meanwhile, the ICMR has invited independent researchers from across India to contribute to the scientific knowledge related to COVID-19 by submitting their innovative research ideas in identified priority areas, stating that there is scanty knowledge available related to the functional aspects of the virus, its transmission dynamics, immunological response to natural infection and vaccines.

“In addition, it is important to understand the drivers of vaccine hesitancy and reduced uptake, clinical spectrum of the disease and its progression. Also there is a need to formulate the clinical management protocols in line with the emerging global evidence,” the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.

These projects were formulated to address the most pressing research questions in the following domains — clinical research, diagnostics and biomarkers, epidemiology and surveillance and operations research, it added. “ICMR now invites independent researchers all across the country to contribute to the scientific knowledge related to COVID-19 by submitting their innovative research ideas as brief concept proposals in the following identified priority areas, the apex research body said.

All concept proposals have to be submitted online at https://epms.icmr.org.in as a brief 3-4 page concept note on/before June 30, the ICMR said. All concept proposals will be screened at ICMR.

Human lifespan can extend up to 150 years, researchers explore pace of ageing

Human lifespan can extend up to 150 years, researchers explore pace of ageing

Immortality, the fountain of youth or the idea of living forever have been one of the biggest desires over centuries as Mark Twain famously said “Life would be infinitely happier if we could only be born at the age of 80 and gradually approach 18.” Now a group of researchers from Singapore are exploring the question what’s the longest life that could be lived by a human system?

The researchers from Singapore-based biotech company Gero in a paper published in the journal Nature Communication point to an underlying “pace of ageing” that sets the lifespan between 120-150 years. Titled “Longitudinal analysis of blood markers reveals progressive loss of resilience and predicts human lifespan limit,” the paper says that death is an intrinsic biological property that is independent of stress factors.

To assess this evolution, the researchers looked at changes in blood cell counts and the daily number of steps taken by people. They looked at health data for large groups from the US, the UK and Russia. “Aging in humans exhibits universal features common to complex systems operating on the brink of disintegration,” the researchers said in a statement.

Experts believe that the research could guide the development of drugs to slow the process and extend healthspan

Led by Timothy V Pyrkov, the team observed that as age increased, the factors beyond disease drove a predictable and incremental decline in the body’s ability to return blood cells. They found that the pace of decline determined when that resilience will completely disappear leading to death.

They found that age of complete resilience loss at the range of 120 to 150 years.

Speaking to Scientific American, Study co-author Peter Fedichev, who founded Gero said “although most biologists would view blood cell counts and step counts as pretty different, the fact that both sources paint exactly the same future suggests that this pace-of-ageing component is real.”

The more interesting observation of the research included the fact that resilience starts declining steeply somewhere in the mid-thirties to mid-forties with the body slowly losing its ability to cope and recover from stress.

“This work explains why even the most effective prevention and treatment of age-related diseases could only improve the average but not the maximal lifespan unless true antiaging therapies have been developed,” added US-based co-author Andrei Gudkov, from the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Experts believe that the research could guide the development of drugs to slow the process and extend health span as recovery rate is an important sign of ageing.

It is to be noted that the oldest person on record to have ever lived, Jeanne Calment, died at the age of 122 in France.

Aarogya Setu introduces exciting features; Enable users to update their vaccination status

Aarogya Setu introduces exciting features; Enable users to update their vaccination status

The Aarogya Setu app has introduced some exciting features. According to the new updates, individuals can now voluntarily update their vaccination status on Aarogya Setu mobile app through a self-assessment process and the facility will make it easier to check the vaccination status for travel purposes.

The Ministry of IT and Electronics on Tuesday said all Aarogya Setu users will get the option to “Update the Vaccination Status” if they have not taken the revised self-assessment in the updated version of the app.

“Aarogya Setu has rolled out a feature to update vaccination status on the Aarogya Setu app,” the Ministry said in a statement.

Those who have got the single dose of the vaccine will get a single blue border with vaccination status on their home screen along with Aarogya Setu logo with a single tick. A ‘Blue Shield’ with double tick will appear on the app for those who are fully vaccinated, after 14 days of the second dose. This double tick will appear after verification of vaccination status from the CoWIN portal.

Vaccination status can be updated through the mobile number used for CoWIN registration.

“On taking the self-assessment on Aarogya Setu, those users who have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine will get the tab of ‘partially vaccination/vaccinated (unverified)’ on the home screen of Aarogya Setu. “This is based on the declaration of vaccination status given by the user during the self-assessment. The unverified status becomes verified after an OTP based check from the CoWIN backend,” the statement said.

The home screen of Aarogya Setu will read “You are vaccinated” after 14 days of the second dose. “This would make easy checking of vaccination status possible for travel and access to various premises,” it said. Over 19 crore people in India are using Aarogya Setu app.

FIR filed against Jackky Bhagnani and 8 other high-profile people for Rape and Molestation

FIR filed against Jackky Bhagnani and 8 other high-profile people for Rape and Molestation

An FIR has been filed by the Mumbai Police against actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani, and eight other high-profile people from the film industry for rape and molestation. The complaint was registered by a model-turned-songwriter who has also become an independent artist.

The report mentioned that along with Jackky, Founder of talent management agency KWAN Entertainment, Anirban Blah, photographer Colston Julian, and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, have also been named in the FIR. The model had earlier alleged that the police were taking a lot of time to register an FIR in the case and that she had also started receiving death threats from one of the accused in her complaint. The daily reported that the woman had first approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone 10, Dr Maheshwar Reddy on May 10 after which he directed her to Andheri Police station and asked an officer to record her statement. It was after eight days that her statement was recorded by the police, however, the case was forwarded to Zone 9 DCP office in Bandra considering most cases of the alleged sexual abuse took place in that area during 2012-2019.

The news was also carried by UK’s Independent. The daily reported that the woman has accused Jackky of molesting her, while Julian has been accused of raping her multiple times between 2014 to 2018 in her complaint. Another one named Kamat allegedly sexually harassed her at a hotel in Santa Cruz.

The woman expressed her concern over the development in the case. She was quoted as saying, “Why are the police delaying the arrest of the accused? I have submitted all the pieces of evidence that I have against these accused.” She further mentioned that it seems like Colston Julian, who’s one of the accused, has fled the city or gone underground. “In a big to conduct panchnama, one woman police officer took me to the locations where these accused sexually abused me in Mumbai. It seems that Colston Julian has gone underground as his Bandra house was locked and his car was also not there when we visited.”

The police, however, maintained that they are still in the process of verifying the model’s allegations. Inspector Sagar Nikam told the daily: “We have registered the FIR based on her complaint. We are in the process of collecting the pieces of evidence that the survivor claims to possess against them. Our investigations are underway.”

The FIR was registered under Sections 376 (n) (commits rape repeatedly on the same woman) and 354 (molestation) of the IPC on May 26. Meanwhile, Jackky, who’s the son of popular producer Vashu Bhagnani, is reportedly out of the country and is expected to come back around September. He or his family hasn’t spoken on the matter yet.
