नवी दिल्ली : सोशल मीडियाचा चांगला वापर करण्याबरोबरच काहीजण त्यावरून अश्लील गोष्टींचाही प्रसार करत असतात. सोशल मीडियावर (Social Media) एका अल्पवयीन मुलीचे अश्लील फोटो व्हायरल झाल्याचा प्रकार काही दिवसांपूर्वी घडला होता. पोलिसांनी हे कृत्य करणाऱ्या नराधमाला आता अटक केलीय. पोलिसांनी त्याच्या विरोधात पॉक्सो कायदा अंतर्गत गुन्हा दाखल केलाय.

आपल्या अल्पवयीन बहिणीचे अश्लील फोटो कोणीतरी बनावट खाते तयार करून सोशल मीडियावर वायरल केले आहेत, असे सांगत काही दिवसांपूर्वी एका तरुणाने पोलिसांकडे तक्रार दाखल केली होती.

यावर पोलिसांनी अज्ञाताविरोधात गुन्हा दाखल करून तपास सुरू केला, तक्रार केलेल्या तरुणाच्या घराशेजारी नाजीम नावाच्या एकावर पोलिसांचा संशय होता. हा सर्व प्रकार दिल्लीतील रोहिणी येथील आहे.

नजीम हा अगोदर पीडित अल्पवयीन मुलीच्या घराशेजारी राहत होता. त्या दरम्यान त्यानं या 14 वर्षीय मुलीला आपल्या जाळ्यात ओढत तिला फूस लावून तिच्याशी शरीरसंबंध ठेवले. त्यावेळी त्यानं मुलीचे अश्लील फोटोही काढले होते. घटनेनंतर हा परिसर सोडून तो दुसरीकडं राहायला गेला. त्यानंतर आता हे अश्लील फोटो व्हायरल झाल्यानं संबंधित मुलीच्या भावाला नजीमवर शंका आली. याबाबत त्यानं पोलिसांना ही माहिती दिल्यानंतर पोलिसांनी त्याचा शोध घेण्यास सुरुवात केली.

दरम्यान, पीडित मुलीनं आणि तिच्या भावानं पोलिसांना हे फोटो जवळपास चार वर्षापूर्वीचे असल्याचे सांगितले. पोलिसांनी तपासाची चक्रे वेगानं फिरवत, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणांद्वारे नजीमचे लोकेशन शोधले. त्याचे लोकेशन हैदराबाद शहराच्या जवळ दिसून आले, यानंतर पोलिसांचे एक पथक हैदराबादला रवाना झालं.

दिल्ली पोलिसांनी तेलंगणामधील विकाराबाद जिल्ह्यातील तंदूर परिसरातून आरोपी नाजिमला अटक केली. हैदराबादपासून जवळपास दीडशे किलोमीटर दूर अंतरावर त्याला अटक करण्यात आले. 27 वर्षीय नाजिम हा उत्तर प्रदेशच्या मुरादाबादचा रहिवासी आहे. दिल्ली पोलिसांना या आरोपीला पकडण्यासाठी 1600 किलोमीटर दूर जावं लागलं.

आता इंजिनीयरिंगचं शिक्षण मराठीसह आठ स्थानिक भाषांमध्ये घेता येणार

PUNE: Once all permissions come through, Pune’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE) may become the first college in Maharashtra to impart engineering education in Marathi from the 2021-22 academic year.

“Across the country, 14 colleges have applied to start a batch in their respective regional languages, such as Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Hindi and Bengali,” said Anil Sahasrabudhe, chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Four colleges from Uttar Pradesh, two from Rajasthan, two from Maharashtra, two from Tamil Nadu and one each from Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh have applied for it. While most colleges have proposed to start a batch in computer science, there are proposals for electrical, mechanical and civil engineering as well, with some proposing two batches in different streams, according to data shared by Sahasrabudhe.

It is still to be seen how many of the proposals materialize. College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) is the other college in contention from Maharashtra.

When contacted, CoEP director B B Ahuja said while they had proposed to start a batch in Marathi this year, the decision was deferred as they wanted to be well prepared before taking on a new initiative. “There were concerns regarding the availability of books. However, the decision has only been deferred for this year. We will again take it up next year,” said Ahuja.

G N Kulkarni, director of PCCOE, said, “Our board of governors has approved the decision to start an undergraduate course in Computer Engineering in Marathi. We have applied to AICTE to allow the intake of 60 students so that we can start the batch this year itself. We hope to get a positive reply in 10-15 days. We would also need to get a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Directorate of Technical Education and Savitribai Phule Pune University.”

The institute has not yet done any survey to find if any students in the existing batches would have opted for Marathi medium had the option been available to them. “We generally do such surveys when we think of starting a new course on our own. The call to start a batch in a regional language came from AICTE and I am sure they must have conducted a survey,” said Kulkarni.

AICTE, in a news conference in March, had quoted from a survey covering 5,000 engineering students studying in second to final year, where 42% had said they would have opted to learn in their mother tongue if the option was available.
Tamil had found the most number of takers, followed by Hindi, Telugu, Marathi and Kannada, among others, Sahasrabudhe had said.

When asked about the availability of study material, teachers and the challenge of campus placement, Kulkarni said, “At the national level, there is a campaign to translate available textbooks into the regional languages and our teachers are also providing assistance. Most of our teachers speak Marathi as their mother tongue, so orienting them will not be a problem.”

एका १९ वर्षीय मुलीला तिच्या संपूर्ण कुटुंबासह कोरोनाची लागण झाली होती. रूग्णालयात दाखल झाल्यानंतर सात दिवसांनी तिच्या भावाचे कोरोनामुळे निधन झाले. त्याचवेळी तिच्या आई-वडिलांची तब्येतदेखील गंभीर झाली होती. त्याच्या दोन दिवसांनी लगेचच वडिलांचे निधन झाले. कुटुंबात एकानंतर एक मृत्यू सत्र सुरूच असताना अचानक दुसऱ्या दिवशी आईनेही या १९ वर्षीय मुलीची साथ सोडली आणि कोरोनामुळे त्यांचे ही निधन झालं. त्यामुळे आता ही मुलगी अनाथ झाली आहे.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 5 pm today and reports suggest he may speak on his government’s vaccine plan.

The Prime Minister’s latest address comes at a time Covid cases are on the wane after a deadly surge in April-May and parts of the country are emerging from strict lockdowns.

The Centre’s vaccination policy has been criticized by states and experts and has also been questioned by the Supreme Court. The slow roll-out has become a big concern as experts warn of the third wave of Covid.

Under a new liberalised policy that came into effect on May 1, states and private hospitals were allowed to buy vaccines directly from manufacturers.

At the same time, the Centre opened vaccinations to all adults and said it would continue to offer free inoculations for those above 45.

The Supreme Court last week called the policy of free vaccines for people who are 45 and above and paid doses for the 18-44 group, “arbitrary and irrational”.

Flagging other flaws like problems faced by rural people in accessing vaccines, the court asked the Centre to review its policy and “place on record a roadmap of projected availability of vaccines till 31 December 2021”. The Centre was asked to furnish complete details on its vaccination policy, including all documents and file notings, and also clarify how ₹ 35,000 crores announced in the Budget was used in procuring vaccines.

The Centre’s decisions on vaccines were seen to fall short when India was devastated by the sheer scale of virus cases in the second wave in March-April. The government had to pause exports of Covid shots under its “Vaccine Maitri” programme and scrambled to procure more doses to tackle the shortage in the country.

On Saturday, the Centre defended its new vaccine policy and said media reports suggesting inequities in the distribution of doses were “inaccurate and speculative”. It said the policy had reduced the “operational stress” on state-run vaccination facilities.

मुंबई – राज्यातील कोरोना रुग्णसंख्येत घट झाल्यानं सरकारनं आजपासून नवी नियमावली लागू केली आहे. या अंतर्गत राज्यातील निर्बंध टप्प्याटप्प्याने हटवण्यास सुरूवात झाली आहे. राज्यात ५ टप्प्यात अनलॉक प्रक्रिया राबवण्यात येणार आहे. ७ जून म्हणजे आजपासूनच हे नियम लागू असतील. अनलॉक प्रक्रियेबाबत शासकीय स्तरावर निर्णय घेतला असला तरी स्थानिक प्राधिकरणाला निर्बंध हटवावे की ठेवावे हे ठरवण्याचा अधिकार देण्यात आला आहे.

कोरोनाचे आव्हान संपलेले नाही. ब्रेक दि चेनमध्ये आपण जे निकष आणि पाच पातळ्या ( लेव्हल्स) ठरविल्या आहेत त्यावर स्थानिक प्रशासनाने विचार करून निर्बंधांच्याबाबतीत निर्णय घ्यायचा आहे. कुठेही सरसकट निर्बंध शिथील करण्यात आलेले नाहीत तसेच कोणत्याही लेव्हलमध्ये कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रम, समारोह यासाठी गर्दी होणार नाही याची काटेकोर काळजी घ्या असे स्पष्ट निर्देश मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी दिलेत. मात्र अद्यापही अनेक लोकांच्या मनात आहे की, आंतरजिल्हा प्रवास करायचा असेल तर ई-पास लागेल का? यावर सरकारने स्पष्ट केले आहे की, पहिल्या ४ टप्प्यांमध्ये प्रवास करत असाल तर नियमितपणे वाहतूक सुरू आहे. केवळ ५ व्या टप्प्यातून तुम्ही प्रवास करणार असाल तर त्यासाठी ई पास आवश्यक आहे. सध्यातरी ५ व्या टप्प्यात एकाही जिल्ह्याचा समावेश नाही. पाचव्या स्तरात जेथे २० टक्क्यांपेक्षा जास्त पॉझिटिव्हिटी रेट असेल आणि ७५ टक्‍क्‍यांपेक्षा जास्त ऑक्सिजन बेड रुग्णांनी व्यापले असेल अशा जिल्ह्यांचा समावेश होईल.

लोकल ट्रेनने प्रवास करू शकता का?

पहिल्या टप्प्यात नियमितपणे लोकलने प्रवास करू शकता. परंतु स्थानिक प्राधिकरण त्यांच्या स्तरावर निर्बंध लागू करू शकतात. दुसऱ्या आणि तिसऱ्या टप्प्यात वैद्यकीय व अत्यावश्यक सेवांमधील कर्मचाऱ्यांना प्रवास करता येईल. त्याचसोबत स्थानिक प्राधिकरणाच्या नियमांनुसार महिलांनाही प्रवेशास मुभा देण्यात आली आहे. तर चौथ्या आणि पाचव्या स्तरात केवळ वैद्यकीय आणि अत्यावश्यक सेवेतील कर्मचाऱ्यांना लोकल ट्रेनने प्रवास करण्याची मुभा आहे.

सार्वजनिक वाहतूक सुरू राहणार का?

पहिल्या टप्प्यात नियमितपणे सार्वजनिक वाहतूक सुरू राहणार आहे. तर दुसऱ्या आणि तिसऱ्या टप्प्यात १०० टक्के वाहतूक सुरू राहील. परंतु उभे राहून प्रवास करण्यास परवानगी नाही. तर चौथ्या आणि पाचव्या टप्प्यात ५० टक्के सार्वजनिक वाहतूक प्रवास सुरू राहील. इथंही उभं राहून प्रवास करण्याची परवानगी नाकारण्यात आली आहे. तर माल वाहतूक करण्यासाठी ३ जणांना परवानगी असेल. पाचव्या टप्प्यात माल वाहतूक करण्यासाठी ई पासची आवश्यकता आहे.

गर्दी चालणार नाही

नव्या आदेशात वर्गीकरण केले असले तरी कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत कोविडलाआमंत्रण देणारी गर्दी , समारंभ, सोहळे चालणार नाहीत आरोग्याच्या नियमांचे काटेकोर पालन झाले पाहिजे असे जिल्हा प्रशासनाने पाहायचे आहे असे सांगून मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे(CM Uddhav Thackeray) म्हणाले की, दैनंदिन व्यवहार किती उघडायचे, किती काळ सुरु ठेवायचे, त्याच्या वेळा या सर्व बाबी त्या त्या भागातील प्रशासनाने ठरवायचे आहे.

मुंबई : APY Scheme: दररोज 7 रुपये गुंतवणूक करुन तुम्ही दरमहा 5000 रुपये बचत करु शकता. आतापर्यंत लाखो आणि कोट्यवधी लोक केंद्राच्या या योजनेत सहभागी झाले आहेत. या योजनेत तुम्ही सहभागी झालात तर आपले भविष्य केवळ सुरक्षितच होणार नाही तर आपण निवृत्तीवेतनासाठीही पात्र व्हाल. आपण या योजनेत कसे सहभागी होऊ शकता ते आम्ही तुम्हाला सांगणात आहोत आणि आपल्यासाठी काय फायदे होतील, ते जाणून घ्या?

अटल पेन्शन योजनेत गुंतवणूक करा
अटल पेन्शन योजना (Atal Pension Yojana- APY) असे या योजनेचे नाव आहे, ही योजना सरकारने 2015 मध्ये सुरू केली होती. सेवानिवृत्तीनंतर पेन्शन लाभ प्रदान करणे आणि असंघटित क्षेत्रात काम करणाऱ्या 18 ते 40 वर्षे वयोगटातील लोकांचे भविष्य सुरक्षित करणे हा त्याचा हेतू आहे. तथापि, या योजनेत सहभागी होण्यासाठी आपल्यासाठी भारतीय नागरिक असणे आणि कोणत्याही बँक (Bank) किंवा टपाल कार्यालयात (Post Office) खाते, आधार कार्ड आणि मोबाइल नंबर असणे खूप महत्वाचे आहे.

गुंतवणुकीनुसार दरमहा पेन्शन मिळेल
नियमांनुसार या योजनेत जमा केलेली रक्कम तुम्हाला वयाच्या 60 व्या वर्षांनंतर पेन्शनच्या स्वरूपात मिळू लागते. पेन्शनची रक्कम 1000, 2000 रुपये, 3000 रुपये, 4000 रुपये आणि जास्तीत जास्त 5000 रुपयांपर्यंत असू शकते. निवृत्तीवेतनाचे पैसे तुमच्या गुंतवणूकीवर अवलंबून असतात. उदाहरणार्थ, जर तुम्हाला 5000 रुपये मासिक पेन्शन पाहिजे असेल तर तुम्हाला दरमहा 210 रुपये जमा करावे लागतील. याचा अर्थ असा की आपण दररोज 7 रुपये देता. दुसरीकडे, 1000 रुपये मासिक पेन्शनसाठी फक्त 42 रुपये, 2000 च्या पेन्शनसाठी 84 रुपये, 3000 रुपयांकरिता 126 रुपये आणि 4000 रुपयांच्या मासिक पेन्शनसाठी 168 रुपये जमा करावे लागतील.

करदात्यांनाही याचा मोठा फायदा होईल
अटल पेन्शन योजनेत सहभागी झालेल्या सर्व करदात्यांना प्राप्तिकर अधिनियम 80 सी अंतर्गत 1.5 लाख रुपयांपर्यंत कराचा लाभ मिळतो. यातून ग्राहकांचे करपात्र उत्पन्न वजा केले जाते. याशिवाय विशेष प्रकरणांमध्ये 50,000 रुपयांपर्यंतचा अतिरिक्त कर लाभ उपलब्ध आहे. अशा प्रकारे या योजनेत दोन लाखांपर्यंतची डिडक्शन मिळणार आहे.

अकाली मृत्यूवर पत्नीला पेन्शन मिळेल
या योजनेत आपले संपूर्ण पैसे सुरक्षित आहेत. जर एखाद्या व्यक्तीने अटल निवृत्तीवेतन योजनेत स्वत:ची नोंदणी केली असेल आणि निवृत्तीवेतन सुरू होण्यापूर्वी त्याचा मृत्यू झाला असेल तर त्याची पत्नी डिफॉल्टनुसारच उमेदवारा बनू शकेल. म्हणजेच योजनेला सर्व फायदे पत्नीला मिळतात. सोप्या शब्दांत, आपल्या पत्नीला आपली पेन्शन मिळणे सुरू होते. जर पत्नी जिवंत नसेल तर ग्राहकाने नेमलेल्या नॉमिनीला त्यासाठी निश्चित केलेल्या कॉर्पसचा लाभ मिळतो.

तुम्ही होऊ शकता सेक्सटाॅर्शनची शिकार; चार महिन्यांत १५० नागरिक अडकले जाळ्यात

मी शहरातील एका नामांकित कंपनीत नोकरी करतो. सोशल साईटवर ऑनलाईन मित्र जमवणे आणि त्यांच्याशी संवाद साधणे मला आवडते. एेका दिवशी मला एका अनोळखी क्रमांकावरून व्हिडीओ काॅल आला. नेहमीच्या सवयीप्रमाणे मी त्याला प्रतिसाद दिला. समोरून एक तरुणी माझ्यासोबत बोलत होती. आता दररोज ती काॅल करू करत होती. माझ्यासोबत तीने जवळीक निर्माण केली. काही दिवसानंतर व्हिडीओ काॅलवर बोलत असताना ती शरिराचे न्यूड प्रदर्शन करू लागली. सुरूवातील मला देखील ते चांगले वाटू लागले. तिने आपल्या जाळ्यात खेचत मला देखील न्यूड होण्यास भाग पाडले. ती सांगेल तसे मी करत होते. अचानक माझ्या मोबाईलवर माझाच न्यूड व्हिडीओ येऊन धडकला.

समोरील व्यक्ती हा व्हिडीअो माझे नातेवाईक मित्र-मैत्रिणीला पाठवून देण्याची धमकी देत पैशाची मागणी करत होता.मी काही पैसे त्याला दिले देखील. परंतू त्याची मागणी सतत वाढू लागली होती. सतत होणाऱ्या आर्थिक व मानसिक त्रासाला कंटाळून शेवटी मी सायबर पोलिस ठाण्यात धाव घेऊन झालेली हकीकत सांगितली त्यावेळी मला समजले की, मी सायबर गुन्हेगारांच्या सेक्सटाॅर्शन ट्रॅपमध्ये अडकलो आहे. असे विजय (नाव बदलले) सांगत होता. त्यामुळे योग्य वेळी योग्य काळजी घेतली नाही तर पुढील नंबर तुमचा देखील असू शकतो.

नागरिकांना आपल्या जाळ्यात खेचून आर्थिक गंडा घालण्यासाठी सायबर चोरट्यांनी हनीट्रॅप नंतर आता सेक्सटाॅर्शन ट्रॅपची सुरूवात केली आहे. चालू वर्षातील चार महिन्यात दिडशे पेक्षा अधिकजण पुण्यात सेक्सटाॅर्शनची शिकार झाले आहेत. सर्वात गंभीर प्रकार म्हणजे सुशिक्षित पुरुषांचे प्रमाण यामध्ये अधिक असल्याचे समोर आले आहे. सेक्सटार्शनची शिकार झाल्यानंतर देखील बदनामी होईल या भितीपोटी अनेकजण तक्रार दाखल करण्यास पुढे येत नाहीत. सोशल मिडीयावर आपण कोणाशी बोलतो, संवाद साधतो त्यातील कोणाचा काय उद्देश आहे. हे बरेचदा आपल्या लक्षात येत नाही. जितक हे आभासी जग मोठ आर्कषक व जलद आहे, तितकच ते लवचिक, धोकादायकही आहे.

काय आहे सेक्सटाॅर्शन?

सोशल साईटवरून तुमच्यासोबत तरुण किंवा तरुणी ओळख निर्माण करते. मात्र प्रत्यक्षात तो सायबर गुन्हेगार असतो. अोळख झाल्यानंतर व्हिडीओ काॅल केला जातो. त्यामध्ये समोरील तरुणी अंगावरील कपडे काढून शरिराचे नग्न प्रदर्शन करते. सुरुवातीला तुम्ही प्रतिसाद देण्याचे टाळता. मात्र काही कालावधीनंतर तरुणी समोरील व्यक्तीला आपल्या जाळ्यात खेचते. तरुणीने ऑफर केल्यानंतर संबंधीत व्यक्ती देखील व्हिडीओ काॅलच्यावेळी नग्न होते.

परंतू ज्या व्यक्तीला काॅल केला आहे, त्याच्या व्हिडीओ काॅलचे रेकाॅर्डींग होत असते. अगोदरच सायबर चोरट्याने त्याच्या खात्यात प्रवेश करून नातेवाईक व मित्र मैत्रिणी शोधून ठेवलेल्या असतात. रेकाॅर्डींग केलेला व्हिडीओ काही ओळखीच्या व्यक्तीला पाठवून दिले जातात. त्यानंतर व्यक्तीकडे व्हिडीओ व्हायरल करण्याची धमकी देत मोठ्या पैशाची मागणी केली जाते. बदनामी होण्याच्या भितीपोटी अनेकजण जाळ्यात अडकून पैसे देतात. एकप्रकारे ब्लॅकमेल करून खंडणी उकळली जाते.

मुंबई : राज्यात मान्सून सक्रीय झाला आहे. अर्धे राज्य या मान्सूनने व्यापले आहे. मान्सूनचे आगमन होताच जोरदार पाऊस झाला आहे. मुंबईत रात्रीपासून पावसाचा जोर वाढला आहे. अंधेरी, बोरीवली, दादर भागात पाऊस झाला. गरमीने हैराण झालेल्या मुंबईकरांना पावसाचा दिलासा मिळाला आहे. ठाणे, नवी मुंबईतही चांगला पाऊस झाला. तर नाशिकच्या चांदवड तालुक्यात ढगफुटी झाली आहे. राज्यातील 16 जिल्ह्यांमध्ये मुसळधार पाऊस बरसणार आहे, असा हवामान खात्याचा अंदाज आहे.

चांदवड । ढगफुटी सारखा पाऊस
नाशिकमधल्या चांदवड तालुक्यातील तळेगाव रोही इथे ढगफुटी सारखा पाऊस झाला. त्यामुळे नागरिकांत भीती निर्माण झाली. सगळीकडून पाणीच पाणी वाहू लागलं. नदी नाले ओसंडून वाहत होते. काही ठिकाणी संपर्क तुटल्याने ट्रॅक्टरवर बसवून नागरिकांना दुसऱ्या ठिकाणी नेण्यात आलं. जोरदार पाऊस झाल्यानं शेती मशागतीला वेग येणार आहे.

अकोला शहरासह जिल्ह्यातल्या अनेक भागात विजेच्या कडकडाटसह जोरदार पाऊस पडला. आचानक आलेल्या पावसानं सगळ्यांचीच तारांबळ उडाली. या पावसामुळे उकाड्याला वैतागलेल्या नागरिकांना दिलासा मिळाला आहे.

वाशिम जिल्ह्यात वादळी वाऱ्यासह जोरदार हजेरी लावली. जिल्ह्यातल्या मालेगाव, मानोरा, वाशिम तालुक्यात ढगांच्या गडगडाटासह जोरदार पावसाच्या सरी कोसळल्या.या पाऊसाने ग्रामीण भागातील रस्ते जलमय झाले होते. या पावसामुळे बळीराजा सुद्धा सुखावलाय. पेरणीपूर्व मशागतीचं काम शेवटच्या टप्प्यात आले आहे.

जालना । मुसळधार पावसाची हजेरी
जालना जिल्ह्यात वादळी वाऱ्यासह मुसळधार हजेरी लावली. संध्याकाळच्या सुमाराला जालना शहरासह परीसरात मुसळधार पाऊस झाला.भोकरदन शहरासह तालुक्यातही पावसानं तब्बल तासभर हजेरी लावली. वादळी वाऱ्यासह पाऊस झाला त्यामुळे शहरात वाहतुक तासभर विस्कळीत झाली होती.

कोरोना विषाणूंविरूद्ध कोणती लस अधिक प्रभावी आहे? कोणती लस कोरोना संक्रमणाचे धोके दूर करेल? कोणत्या लसीचा कमीतकमी दुष्परिणाम होतो? कोणत्या लसीमुळे अँटीबाँडी वेगवान बनतात? कोरोनाच्या दुसर्‍या लाटेच्या मध्यभागी लस घेण्यापूर्वी लोकांच्या मनात असे अनेक प्रश्न उद्भवत आहेत. अशा अलीकडील अभ्यासामध्ये असे म्हटले गेले आहे की ऑक्सफोर्ड-अ‍ॅस्ट्रॅजेनेकाच्या कोव्हीशिल्ड देशी कोव्हॅक्सिनपेक्षा जास्त अँटीबाँडी तयार करतात.

लसीच्या पहिल्या डोसनंतर झाला अभ्यास

कोरोना व्हायरस व्हॅक्सीन-इंड्यूस्ड अँटिबॉडी टायट्रे (सीओव्हीएटी) ने केलेल्या प्राथमिक अभ्यासानुसार, लसचा पहिला डोस घेतलेल्या लोकांमध्ये कोव्हॅक्सिनपेक्षा कोव्हीशिल्ड लस घेणाऱ्यांपेक्षा जास्त अँटीबॉडी तयार झाल्याचे दिसून आले. या अभ्यासामध्ये ५५२ आरोग्य कर्मचाऱ्यांचा समावेश करण्यात आला. कोव्हीशिल्ड लस मिळालेल्या लोकांमध्ये सेरोपोसिटिव्हिटी रेटपासून अँटी-स्पाइक अँटीबॉडी कोव्हॅक्सिनचा पहिला डोस घेणाऱ्यांपेक्षा अधिक होता.

दोन्ही लसांना चांगला प्रतिसाद

अभ्यासामध्ये असे म्हटले आहे की अँडी कोरोना व्हायरस लस, कोव्हीशिल्ड आणि कोव्हॅक्सिन या दोन्ही लसींना प्रतिसाद चांगला आहे, पण कोव्हीशिल्डमध्ये सेरोपोझिटिव्हिटी रेट आणि अँटी-स्पाइक अँटीबॉडी जास्त आहेत. सर्वेक्षण केलेल्या ४५६ आरोग्यसेवा कर्मचाऱ्यांना कोव्हीशिल्डचा पहिला डोस दिला गेला आणि ९६ लोकांना कोव्हॅक्सिननचा पहिला डोस दिला गेला. पहिल्या डोस नंतरचा एकंदरीत सेरोपोझिटिव्हिटी दर ७९.३ टक्के होता.

दुसर्‍या डोसनंतर रोगप्रतिकारक शक्तीबद्दल अधिक माहिती उपलब्ध असेल

तथापि, अभ्यासानुसार असे निष्कर्ष काढले गेले आहे की दोन्ही लस प्राप्त झालेल्या आरोग्य सेवा कर्मचार्‍यांना चांगला प्रतिसाद होता. कोव्हॅटच्या चालू असलेल्या अभ्यासानुसार, दोन्ही लसींचा दुसरा डोस मिळाल्यानंतर प्रतिकारशक्तीवर अधिक प्रकाश पडेल. अभ्यासात कोव्हीशिल्ड आणि कोव्हॅक्सिन या लस देण्यात आलेल्या आरोग्य कर्मचार्‍यांचा समावेश होता. तसेच यापैकी काही असे होते ज्यांना सार्स- COV-2 संसर्ग झाला होता. त्याच वेळी, असे काही लोक होते जे यापूर्वी या विषाणूच्या संपर्कात आला नव्हते.

अँटीबाँडी म्हणजे काय?

NPPA caps prices of Medical Oxygen concentrator

The capped prices will be effective from June 9

NPPA directs manufacturers of medical oxygen concentrators to submit the applications about MRP calculated as per new formula by June 7

Considering Medical Oxygen as an essential life saving drug and critical for Covid-19 Management, The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has capped the price of oxygen concentrator through trade margin rationalisation approach at first point of sale of product, referred as Price to Distributor. The Gazette Notification says, “The clinical protocols all over the world recognise the role of medical Oxygen as an essential medical therapy in clinical management of moderate and severe cases of Covid-19. With the sudden spurt in cases in COVID-19 second wave in the country, demand for Medical Oxygen has gone up considerably. With the increase in demand for medical oxygen, there is a surge in demand for oxygen concentrators in the country.

Due to the global demand supply mismatch and related issues, the prices of the oxygen concentrators have recently shown substantial voracity in domestic market. This is the reason, it is essential to cap the prices.” NPPA has capped the prices and given a prescribed formula by invoking Paragraph 19 of Drugs Prices Control Order (DPCO) – 2013 in wake of increase in demand due to pandemic. The formula prescribed for the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) is Price to Distributor (PTD) + (PTD x TM) + Applicable GST, where TM = Trade Margin not exceeding 70%. It has also directed manufacturers to fix MRP of oxygen concentrators and submit the information containing details of PTD, Retail Price, existing and revised MRP, by using the formula prescribed and other details for oxygen concentrator to NPPA by June 7, 2021. The revised prices shall come into effect from June 9, 2021. The price so fixed shall remain in force up till November 30, 2021 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Oxygen concentrator is a non-scheduled drug and presently under the voluntarily licensing framework of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). State Drug Controllers shall ensure compliance of this Order.

The manufacturers/ dealers/hospitals/medical institutions shall assist the State Drug Controllers in verifying the compliance to this Order. Any violation of this Order is required to be brought to the notice of NPPA. Union health ministry dated February 11, 2020 notified all the medical devices intended for use in human beings or animals as Drugs under the Drugs and Cosmetics (D&C) Act 1940 with effect from April 1, 2020. NPPA has accordingly vide SO. 1232(E) dated March 31, 2020 notified that all medical devices (including oxygen concentrator) shall be governed under the provisions of DPCO 2013 w.e.f April 1, 2020.

IAF AFCAT-2 Recruitment 2021: The Indian Air Force(IAF) has opened the recruitment cycle and invited applications for the course under the Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch, and Permanent Commission (PC) and SSC in Ground Duty Branches. Interested applicants can also register online for the grant of PC/SSC for the NCC Special Entry Scheme (Flying Branch) as well as for the Meteorology department. The recruitment will be conducted through Air Force Common Admission Test, AFCAT-2 for the various posts.

Interested candidates must apply to the preferred course(s) latest by June 30. The detailed notification regarding the same is available on the official website – https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in or https://afcat.cdac.in.

All interested candidates must go through the notification thoroughly before filling up the application form. A total of 334 vacancies have been released this time. The courses will begin in July 2022.

Educational Qualification

For Flying Branch – A minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level, and (a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent, OR (b) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch – Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) {AE(L)} – Candidates require a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum 4 years degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University with Graduation/ Integrated Post Graduate qualification needed.

Fine collection for not wearing face masks, Central Railway tops in zone

Central Railway’s Nagpur Division topped the zone in realisation of fine from passengers for not wearing face mask. After the surge in COVID-19 cases during second wave, railway made it compulsory for all to wear the mask. To ensure that people do not violate the protocol, a fine of Rs 500 maximum was imposed so that it should act as deterrent. The order to start imposing fines kicked in from April 17 onwards and till June 2 nearly 7143 persons or travellers faced the music and coughed up Rs. 12,72,825.

During the one and half month period the railways strictly enforced the rule of wearing mask as part of measured intended to prevent cross transmission among travellers. Though maximum number of cases was done at Bhusawal Division where they imposed fines on 2928 cases but fine realised was Rs. 3,54,150. As against this at Nagpur Division about 1953 cases were registered but fine collected was Rs. 4,02,300 . Thereafter at Mumbai Division about 1269 cases with fine of Rs. 2,40,645 was collected and at Pune Division about 525 cases were done and Rs. 1,69,980 was imposed while in Solapur Division 468 cases were done and fine of Rs. 1,05,750 was recovered.

From the above figures it seems at Nagpur Division maximum Rs. 500 was collected from travellers who were noticed not wearing the face mask. As per the direction from Railways, fine upto Rs. 500 was mentioned and at other division the fine imposed on travellers ranged from Rs. 150 to 200.

Reliance may launch new 5G JioPhone around Oct-Nov this year

Reliance has been long rumoured to be launching a new JioPhone with 5G support. The company was expected to launch the device at the AGM 2021, but now a fresh report has suggested that the phone will be launched around October-November this year. Reliance will host its 44th annual general meeting (AGM) on June 24. The reports had earlier revealed that along with the JioPhone, Reliance will also launch a JioBook at the event.

Last month, Google CEO Sundar Pichai had announced that the company has partnered with Reliance for an affordable smartphone. However, Pichai didn’t reveal when the phone will be available to the users in India. Google had invested Rs 33,737 crore in Jio Platforms for a 7.7 per cent stake at the last AGM.
“We are focused on building an affordable phone… we are committed to making progress on the project and we are working with them (Jio),” Pichai said in a virtual conference

Reliance too has not made any announcement related to the phone. But the rumours now suggest that the phone will be launched around Diwali i.e. in November or October.

As per reports, the smartphone is currently being tested at manufacturing units of Dixon Technologies, UTL Neolyncs, Flextronics and Wingtech Mobiles. It is being said that the device will be exclusively available on the online stores of Reliance including the JioMart, Reliance Digital. It will be bundled with Jio Sim. We can expect Reliance to also provide exciting offers along with the phone as it has always done.

As far as the specs of the smartphone are concerned, the JioPhone will be a smartphone with 5G support. It is expected to run on the Android Go operating system (OS) with entry-level specifications. It is expected to be priced somewhere below $50 (Rs 3650 approximately). The device could be available for pre-booking on Reliance Jio’s official platform

Reliance had earlier launched the JioPhone 2 way back in 2018. The device was launched with a qwerty keypad, the design resembling the Blackberry phones and support for 4G. The device was launched for people who cannot afford high end 4G smartphones. It was launched in India for Rs 2999.

ट्रक ड्रायव्हरने वाचवले होते मुलीचे प्राण, 4 वर्षानंतर मुलीने अशा प्रकारे फेडले उपकार

आपण हे म्हणणे ऐकले असेलच की “ज्याच्या कोणी नसतो त्याचा देव असतो” लोक संकटात असताना बरेचदा देवाची आठवण करतात आणि जर मनापासून तक्रार आली असेल तर देव त्याला वाचवण्यासाठी नक्कीच काही देवदूत पाठवितो.

आज आम्ही तुम्हाला पिलीभीत आणि टनकपूर रोडवर असलेल्या हरदयालपूर गावची अशी घटना सांगणार आहोत, हे जाणून घेतल्यावर तुम्हीही या उक्तीवर विश्वास ठेवण्यास सुरूवात कराल. या गावात आजूबाजूला खूप दाट जंगल आहे आणि गावापासून सुमारे 300 मीटर अंतरावर सावित्री देवीची झोपडी आहे.

सावित्री आपल्या 17 वर्षाची मुलगी किरणसमवेत झोपडीत राहते. सावित्रीच्या पतीने 4 वर्षांपूर्वी या जगाला निरोप दिला आहे. नवरा गेल्यानंतर आई व मुलगी दोघेही एकटे राहिले होते. काही दिवसांपूर्वी हे दोघे त्यांच्या झोपडीत झोपले असताना काही गुंडांनी त्यांच्या घरावर हल्ला केला.

त्यावेळी रात्रीचे 1.30 वाजले होते. त्यांनी जबरदस्तीने सावित्रीची मुलगी किरणला उचलून जंगलात नेले. दरम्यान किरणने खूप आवाज केला पण दोन लोकांमुळे ती काहीच करू शकली नाही.

पण मग एक माणूस किरणच्या जीवनात एक देवदूत म्हणून आला. वास्तविक, गुंड किरणला जंगलाकडे घेऊन जात असताना, तेथून एक ट्रक जात होता. ट्रकचालकाने (अस्लम) किरणचा आवाज ऐकताच ट्रक थांबवला आणि मित्रासह जंगलाकडे पळत गेला.

जंगलात पोहोचल्यानंतर त्याच्यासमोर आलेलं दृश्य बर्‍यापैकी भयानक होतं. त्याने पाहिले की दोन बदमाशांनी एका मुलीला आपल्या वासनेचे शिकार बनवित होते. हे पाहून अस्लमने त्याच्या दोन्ही हातांनी गुंडला पकडले.

त्यानंतर आणखी एक गुंड आला आणि त्याने मागून अस्लमच्या डोक्यावर वार केला. अस्लमला खूप दुखापत झाली पण त्याने हार मानली नाही आणि पुन्हा त्या मुलीला वाचवायला पुढे सरसावला. मुलीला वाचवण्याचा प्रयत्न करताना अस्लमच्या मित्रालाही दुखापत झाली.

त्याने दोन्ही गुंडांचा ठामपणे सामना केला आणि शेवटी गुंडांना पळ काढावा लागला. शौर्य दाखवून अस्लमने किरणचा सन्मान वाचवला. अस्लमने खूप त्रास सहन केला ज्यामुळे त्याला काही दिवस रुग्णालयात दाखल करावे लागले. बरे झाल्यानंतर अस्लम सावित्री आणि किरण यांना भेटला आणि तेथून निघून गेला.

या घटनेला 4 वर्षे झाली होती. एके दिवशी अस्लम त्याच रस्त्यावरून कुठेतरी जात असताना अचानक त्याच्या ट्रकने काही कारणास्तव पेट घेतला आणि ट्रक अनियंत्रितपणे दरीत पडला. तो ट्रकसह दरीत अडकला. सावित्रीच्या घरापासून सुमारे एक किलोमीटर अंतरावर ही दरी होती.

रात्री सावित्री आणि किरण यांनी अचानक कोणतरी जोरात ओरडताना ऐकले. दोघींनि आवाज ऐकून ती दरी जवळ पोहोचली. तिने कसा तरी अस्लमचा जीव वाचवला आणि त्याला आपल्या घरी आणले. तिने डॉक्टरांना बोलावून जखमी अस्लमवर उपचार केले.

जेव्हा अस्लमला पुन्हा चैतन्य प्राप्त झाले तेव्हा त्याने किरणला ओळखले. त्याने विचारले की ती तीच मुलगी आहे ज्याला गुंडांनी उचलले होते? हे ऐकून किरणनेही त्याला ओळखले आणि त्याला मिठी मारली आणि रडू लागले. अस्लमचे अश्रूही थांबायचे नाव घेत नव्हते. त्या दिवसापासून किरणने अस्लमला आपला भाऊ बनवून दिलं आणि आता ती प्रत्येक रक्षाबंधनात त्यांना राखी बांधते.

नवरीचा चेहरा दाखवण्याचा कार्यक्रमात हाणामारी; महिलांनी एकमेकींना धू धू धुतलं

भिंड: लग्नानंतर नवी नवरी दाखवण्याची अनेक ठिकाणी प्रथा असते. त्यासाठी विशेष कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन देखील करण्यात येतं. परिसरातील आजूबाजूच्या शेजारील महिलांना बोलावून हा कार्यक्रम केला जातो. मात्र, नवरीचा चेहरा दाखवण्याच्या कार्यक्रमात झालेला वाद थेट पोलीस ठाण्यापर्यंत पोहोचल्याची धक्कादायक घटना समोर आली आहे.

नव्या नवरीचा चेहरा दाखवण्याचा कार्यक्रम कुटुंबीयांना चांगलाच महागात पडला. या कार्यक्रमावरून पोलीस ठाण्यात चक्क दोन तक्रारी दाखल झाल्या आहेत. नेमकं झालं असं की, नवरीचा चेहरा दाखवण्यासाठी शेजारील महिलांना बोलावण्यात आलं होतं. त्यातील एकीनं नवरी काळी असल्याचं म्हटलं. त्यावर दुसऱ्या एका महिलेनं चिडून गोऱ्या मुली तर पळून जातात, असे म्हटले. त्यामुळे तेथे जवळच उभी असलेली एक गोऱ्या रंगाची मुलगी चांगलीच संतापली आणि तिनं त्यावर आक्षेप घेतला. मग हा वाद चांगलाच पेटला.

या कार्यक्रमानंतर गोऱ्या मुली पळून जातात असे म्हटलेली महिला आणि मुलीच्या कुटुंबीयांमध्ये चांगलीच बाचाबाची झाली आणि त्याचे हाणामारीत रूपांतर झालं. संबंधित महिलेनं त्या मुलीच्या पोटावर चावा घेतला आणि तिचे केसही धरून ओढले. मारामारीच्या प्रकारानंतर दोन्ही बाजूंनी पोलीस ठाण्यामध्ये तक्रार दाखल करण्यात आली. हा सर्व प्रकार मध्य प्रदेशमधील भिंडच्या कछपुरा गावातील आहे.

हा प्रकार ऐकून शेजारी उभी असलेली ती मुलगी चांगलीच संतापली. घडलेल्या प्रकारानंतर चिडून मुलगी तिच्या घरी निघून गेली आणि तिने घडलेला सर्व प्रकार आईला आणि कुटुंबियांना सांगितला. त्यानंतर आईच्या सांगण्यावरून किशोरी आपल्या बहिणीला घेऊन संबंधित महिलेच्या घरी गेली आणि तिच्या सासूकडे तिची तक्रार केली. या प्रकारावरून संतप्त झालेल्या रेखा नावाच्या त्या महिलेने किशोरीला मारहाण करण्यास सुरुवात केली. मारहाणीमध्ये महिलेने किशोरीच्या पोटाला चावा घेतला आणि त्यानंतर दोघी बहिणींनी मिळून त्याला महिलेलाही बेदम मारहाण केली.

Twitter has resumed the Blue Badge verification process for its users after a brief pause, as it has been inundated with verification requests. On May 29, the micro-blogging platform abruptly paused its new verification application process within a week of its launch, saying it was rolling in verifications requests that have reached it. However, the good news is that you can apply to get verified again on Twitter now.

In a tweet, Twitter said, “Requests are open! Sorry about that pause –– now you can get back to your quest for a blue badge.”

Twitter ‘Blue Badge’: Who can get verified

Twitter has relaunched the verification programme with six categories — government; companies, brands and organisations; news organisations and journalists; entertainment; sports and gaming; and activists, organisers and other influential individuals.

Twitter said that it will introduce more categories later this year, such as those for scientists, academics and religious leaders.

Twitter ‘Blue Badge’: Eligibility

To receive the blue badge, your account must be authentic, notable, and active and the user also need to provide a bunch of information to qualify to submit your application.

Notable- Under this, accounts eligible for verification should be cited by an established organisation, brand, or company.

Authentic- Under this, the accounts must fulfil the basic list of criteria that includes a profile photo, a valid bio, and other basic details.

Active- Under this, the account is required to be active in the past six months to apply to be verified.

Eligible users also required to have a confirmed email ID and contact number and they also must not have violated any of Twitter’s community guidelines within the past 6 months.

If your application is approved, you’ll see the blue badge automatically on your profile and in case you are not, you can reapply 30 days after receiving Twitter’s decision on your application. Twitter previously suspended the verification way back in 2017, before relaunching it this year.

Facebook suspends former President Donald Trump’s accounts for 2 years

Facebook said it will suspend former President Donald Trump’s accounts for two years following its finding that he stoked violence ahead of the deadly January 6 insurrection.

“At the end of this period, we will look to experts to assess whether the risk to public safety has receded. We will evaluate external factors, including instances of violence, restrictions on peaceful assembly and other markers of civil unrest,” Nick Clegg, Facebook’s vice president of global affairs, wrote in a blog post Friday.

Facebook also plans to end a contentious policy championed by CEO Mark Zuckerberg that automatically exempted politicians from rules that banned hate speech and abuse. The company has said it has never applied this policy to Trump.

The social media giant said on Friday that while it will still apply this “newsworthiness” exemption to certain posts it deems to be in the public interest even if they violate Facebook rules, it will no longer treat material posted by politicians any differently from that posted by anyone else.

In addition, Facebook said it will make public whenever it does apply the exemption to a post. The announcements are in response to recommendations from the company’s quasi-independent oversight board.

Last month that panel upheld a decision by Facebook to keep former Trump indefinitely suspended but said the company could not merely suspend him “indefinitely” and gave it six months to decide what to do with his accounts.

In its decision last month, the board agreed with Facebook that two of Trump’s January 6 posts “severely violated” the content standards of both Facebook and Instagram.

“We love you. You’re very special,” Trump said to the rioters in the first post. In the second, he called them “great patriots” and told them to “remember this day forever.”

Those violated Facebook’s rules against praising or supporting people engaged in violence, the board said, warranting the suspension.

Specifically, the board cited Facebook’s rules against “dangerous individuals and organisations,” which prohibit anyone who proclaims a violent mission and bans posts that express support or praise of these people or groups.

Facebook has had a general “newsworthiness exemption” since 2016.

But it garnered attention in 2019 when Nick Clegg, vice president of global affairs and communications, announced that speech from politicians will be treated as “newsworthy content that should, as a general rule, be seen and heard.”

The newsworthiness exemption, he explained in a blog post at the time, meant that if “someone makes a statement or shares a post which breaks our community standards we will still allow it on our platform if we believe the public interest in seeing it outweighs the risk of harm.

Ajni Metro Station bags highest ever IGBC Platinum Rating, 14th station of Nagpur Metro to bag this Prestigious ranking

NAGPUR: Even as World Environment Day is celebrated across the globe, Maha Metro Nagpur has scored again on the environment front. The Organization has bagged highest ever Platinum Rating from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for its Ajni Metro Station. Of all the operational stations of Nagpur Metro Project, Ajni is the 14th one to bag this prestigious ranking. The rating is based on IGBC’s Green MRTS Rating system.

The other stations of Nagpur Metro which have bagged this ratings before are Khapri, New Airport, Airport South, Airport, Jai Prakash Nagar, Rahate Colony, Ajni square, Sitabuldi Interchange Metro Stations on Orange Line and Lokmanya Nagar, Bansi Nagar, Wasudev Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Institute of Engineers, Jhansi Rani Square Metro Stations on Aqua line. Metro Bhavan has also been awarded this rating.

The Platinum rating is based on some of these grounds – meeting 65% of energy needs from solar energy, adopting bio-digesters at stations, 100% water recycling and rain-water harvesting and constructing stations and other buildings. Maha Metro is the greenest agency in the city. This is evident from the fact that Nagpur Metro Rail Project has received ISO 14001 Certification. Environment Management System (EMS) ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirement for an effective EMS.

The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is ‘Ecosystem Restoration’. Managing Director Dr Brijesh Dixit believes in according topmost priority to environment.

Nagpur Metro is the greenest Metro in the country with 65% of its electricity requirement to be met from solar power. Solar panels have been put atop many stations and Maha Metro’s head office Metro Bhavan. Many more will be installed soon. Maha Metro has installed bio-digesters in all its stations and offices of Nagpur to recycle waste water. The agency does 100% rainwater harvesting in all its buildings.

Maha Metro has developed vertical gardens on its pillars on Wardha Road and Hingna Road. Away from the hustle bustle of Nagpur, but still very close to the city, Maha Metro Nagpur has developed forest on a 24 hectare piece of land, near Ambazari and off Hingna Road. Aptly called `Little Wood’, it has about 6,000 trees.

Located near Little Wood, is another green patch named `Little Wood Extension’. A total of 14,500 trees have been planted at these two locations. Medicinal, ornamental, fruits and flowering plants could be seen here. Before Maha Metro planted the trees, the land was barren and hence the agency has restored the ecosystem. The two projects are a treat for bird watchers. As many as 31 different species can be spotted here. Carnivores like Leopards and small mammals like Wild Boar and Rabbits have also been spotted.

A Jogging Track has been prepared inside Little Wood and every morning and evening hundreds of people visit the area for fitness-related exercises or just recreation. Maha Metro has also provided benches and a sitting platform.
From a degenerated forest some years back to a piece of land with green cover to the optimum, Little Wood has seen the mega transformation. For Maha Metro it has always been part of its developmental agenda.

Nagpur teen holds family of businessman hostage with toy gun, arrested

Nagpur: A teen who allegedly held the family of a businessman in Nagpur hostage with a toy gun on Friday was arrested in a dramatic manner as a wad of currency notes totaling Rs 5 lakh were thrown at him from a window of the house to keep him distracted while police moved in to nab him, officials said.

Jitendra Tulsiram Bisen had barged into the house of Raju Vaidya, a builder, in Pipala area here at 2pm, and held the latter’s family hostage at gunpoint, a Hudkeshwar police station official said.

“He phoned Vaidya and demanded Rs 50 lakh to free his family. Vaidya called the police control room and a team arrived at his home. Vaidya kept Bisen busy and distracted by giving him Rs 5 lakh in cash through the window. In the meantime, a police team in plainclothes entered the house from the back door,” he said.

The team nabbed Bisen, who was brandishing a toy gun, and he has told police he attempted this crime as his catering business had closed down due to the coronavirus-induced restrictions, the official added.

देशातली सर्वांत मोठी विमा कंपनी LIC च्या समभागांच्या विक्रीवरून केंद्र सरकारला विरोधी पक्षांच्या टीकेला सामोरं जावं लागत आहे.

नवी दिल्ली, 4 जून : भारतीय जीवन विमा निगम (Life Insurance Corporation) अर्थात एलआयसीचा मेगा आयपीओ (Mega IPO) प्रस्तावित आहे. त्या संदर्भातल्या हालचाली वाढल्या आहेत. केंद्र सरकार त्यासाठी जून महिन्यातच इन्व्हेस्टमेंट बँकर्सकडून (Investment Bankers) प्रस्ताव मागवण्याची शक्यता आहे. या प्रस्तावांच्या आधारे एलआयसीच्या आयपीओच्या (LIC IPO) संचालनासाठी इन्व्हेस्टमेंट बँकर्सची नियुक्ती केली जाणार आहे.

ब्लूमबर्गने सूत्रांच्या हवाल्याने दिलेल्या वृत्तानुसार, याच महिन्यात केंद्र सरकार इन्व्हेस्टमेंट बँकर्सकडून प्रस्ताव मागवू शकतं. तसंच, येत्या काही आठवड्यांत एलआयसीच्या शेअर्सच्या (Shares) विक्रीसाठी सरकार आमंत्रण पाठवू शकतं, असंही त्या वृत्तात म्हटलं आहे.

त्याचप्रमाणे, मार्च 2022पर्यंत एलआयसीचा आयपीओ येऊ शकतो, अशी शक्यताही त्यात वर्तवण्यात आली आहे. एलआयसीच्या समभागांच्या विक्रीवरून केंद्र सरकारला विरोधी पक्षांच्या टीकेला सामोरं जावं लागत आहे. केंद्रीय अर्थमंत्री निर्मला सीतारामन (Nirmala Sitaharaman) यांनी 2020-21चं बजेट सादर करतानाच एलआयसीच्या आयपीओची घोषणा केली होती. एलआयसीसह एअर इंडिया (Air India) आणि बीपीसीएल (BPCL) या कंपन्यांच्या निर्गुंतवणुकीच्या (Disinvestment) दृष्टीनेही केंद्र सरकार पुढची पावलं उचलणार असल्याची अपेक्षा आहे.

महत्त्वाकांक्षी निर्गुंतवणूक योजनेद्वारे 24 अब्ज डॉलरचा निधी उभा करण्याचं केंद्र सरकारचं उद्दिष्ट आहे. या निधीमुळे कोरोना काळात खर्च वाढलेल्या सरकारला आर्थिक बळ मिळण्यास मदत होणार आहे.

एलआयसीच्या ताज्या वार्षिक अहवालानुसार, 2019-20मध्ये एलआयसीची एकूण अनुमानित संपत्ती 32 लाख कोटी रुपये अर्थात 439 अब्ज डॉलर एवढी आहे. भारतीय बाजारपेठेतला एलआयसीचा हिस्सा जवळपास 70 टक्के आहे

ओली रॉबिन्सनचे (Ollie Robinson) प्रकरण ताजे असतानाच ऑस्ट्रेलियन क्रिकेटमध्ये आपल्याला वर्णद्वेषाचा अनुभव सहन करावा लागला असा गौप्यस्फोट ऑस्ट्रेलियाकडून आठ वर्षे आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट खेळलेल्या बॅट्समननं केला आहे.

सिडनी, 5 जून : इंग्लंडचा फास्ट बॉलर ओली रॉबिन्सन (Ollie Robinson) 8 वर्षांपूर्वी केलेल्या वादग्रस्ट ट्विटमुळे सध्या वादात सापडला आहे. रॉबिन्सननं आठ वर्षांपूर्वी वर्णद्वेषी आणि लिंगभेदी ट्विट केले होते. यामुळे त्याच्यावर इंग्लंड आणि वेल्स क्रिकेट बोर्ड (ECB) कारवाई करण्याची शक्यता आहे. रॉबिन्सनचे प्रकरण ताजे असतानाच ऑस्ट्रेलियन क्रिकेटमध्ये आपल्याला वर्णद्वेषाचा अनुभव सहन करावा लागला असा गौप्यस्फोट ऑस्ट्रेलियाकडून आठ वर्षे आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट खेळलेल्या बॅट्समननं केला आहे.

“आता परिस्थिती खूप चांगली आहे. मी लहान होतो त्यावेळी मला ऑस्ट्रेलियाकडून कधीही खेळता येणार नाही, हे अनेकदा ऐकलं होतं. मी टीमसाठी फिट नाही. ते माझी कधीही निवड करणार नाहीत, अशी ती मानसिकता होती. आता परिस्थितीमध्ये बदल होत आहे.

मी आता ऑस्ट्रेलियात राज्य पातळीवर असे अनेक क्रिकेटपटू पाहतो. त्यांची पार्श्वभूमी ही भारतीय उपखंडामधील आहे. मी क्रिकेट खेळायला सुरू केले तेव्हा तसे नव्हते. मी देशांतर्गत क्रिकेट खेळत होतो त्यावेळी मी एकटाच उपखंडातील खेळाडू होतो. आता कदाचित ही संख्या वाढली आहे.” असे ख्वाजाने सांगितले.

ऑस्ट्रेलियाकडून 44 टेस्ट आणि 40 वन-डे खेळलेल्या ख्वाजानं त्याच्या टीमला इंग्लंडकडून शिकण्याचा सल्ला दिला आहे. इंग्लंडच्या वन-डे टीमचा कॅप्टन आयर्लंडचा इयन मॉर्गम आहे. त्यांचा मुख्य फास्ट बॉलर जोफ्रा आर्चर बार्बाडोसचा आहे. मोईन अली आणि आदिल रशीद हे पाकिस्तानी वंशाचे आहेत. तर बेन स्टोक्सचा जन्म न्यूझीलंडमध्ये झाला आहे.

“आम्हाला बराच लांबचा पल्ला गाठायचा आहे. मी इंग्लंडकडे पाहतो तेव्हा त्यांच्या टीममध्ये बऱ्याच काळपासून विविधता आहे. ऑस्ट्रेलियाला त्याचे अनुकरण करण्याची गरज आहे. मी तरुण खेळाडू होतो तेव्हापेक्षा आता परिस्थिती बदलली आहे. हा एका पिढीचा बदल आहे,” असे ख्वाजाने सांगितले.

ऑक्सीजन निर्मितीत आपण आत्मनिर्भर असले पाहिजे असे सांगून ना. गडकरी म्हणाले- सिलेंडरचा तुटवडा आपल्याकडे होता. पण आता काहीशी सवड मिळाली असताना प्रत्येक डॉक्टरांनी आपल्याला पाहिजे त्यापेक्षा दुप्पट सिलेंडरची व्यवस्था केली पाहिजे. हवेतून ऑक्सीजन तयार करण्याचे प्लाण्ट तयार करण्यावर आपला भर आहे. तसेच बंद दवाखान्यांचा उपयोग करीत डॉक्टरांनी रुग्णशय्या वाढविण्याचा प्रयत्न करावा. आवश्यक उपकरणासह युक्त आपले हॉस्पिटल व्हावे असे प्रयत्न डॉक्टरमंडळींनी करावेत, असेही ते म्हणाले.

सामाजिक व आर्थिक परिवर्तनासाठी राजकारण हे प्रभावी माध्यम आहे, हे लक्षात घेऊन दीनदलितांची सेवा हाच खरा धर्म असून ही सेवा निरपेक्ष भावनेने करावी, असे सांगून ते म्हणाले- सामाजिक व आर्थिकदृष्ट्या दुर्बल घटकांची सेवा करणे हा अंत्योदयाचा विचार आहे. आपला उद्योग, व्यापार सांभाळून आपल्याला हे कार्य करायचे आहे. कोविडच्या संकटावर मात करून आपण विजयी होऊ असा विश्वास समाजात निर्माण होणे आवश्यक असल्याचेही ते म्हणाले.

Youth stoned to death by unidentified assailants in Wadi

Nagpur: Sensation prevailed in Wadi, after a body of a youth found laying in Nagalwadi area here, on Thursday. Prima facie cops predict that the deceased was stoned to death by some unidentified assailants.

Though, the exact reason behind the cause of death will be ascertained after post-mortem report. In the meantime, the squad of Wadi Police has rushed to the spot and sent body for autopsy. Cops have registered a case of murder against the unidentified accused and probing further.

Nagpur hawkers stage protest as they are not allowed to set up stalls

NAGPUR: A large number of hawkers staged a demonstration on the busy Sitabuldi main road, protesting ‘harassment under the guise of implementing Covid-19 protocol’, on Thursday.

“Both Nagpur city police and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) are preventing Sitabuldi hawkers from running their business,” Sitabuldi Hawkers Welfare Association president Gopi Bhaurao Ambhore said.

Senior police inspector from Sitabuldi Atul Sabnis had on June 1 prevented hawkers from operating on Sitabuldi main road. “Hawkers have been running businesses on Sitabuldi main road for several years. They put up their stalls like any regular day on June 1. At around 1pm, Sabnis approached the hawkers, asking them to produce guidelines issued by NMC regarding allowing hawkers to do business,” said association secretary Durgadas Kewalramani.

The hawkers claimed that street vendors from the entire city were being allowed to do business. Citing examples, they claimed that when vegetable vendors and hawkers in Sakkardara, Jaripatka, Khamla etc. are allowed, “why only we are being prevented from earning our livelihood”.

The senior PI stopped hawkers from vending on Wednesday too.

A delegation of hawkers also met Dharampeth zone assistant municipal commissioner Prakash Warade. He clarified that NMC won’t allow Sitabuldi hawkers to operate since no guidelines have been issued regarding hawking business. Subsequently, the hawkers staged a silent sit-down protest to draw attention of the state government, and allow them to earn a livelihood.

“Hundreds of street vendors from Sitabuldi have been badly impacted due to the lockdown like restrictions to contain the spread of Covid-19,” said hawker Sandip Sahu. “We are into the second month of lockdown from April 5, and hawkers here have not been able to earn a livelihood. We have absolutely no other means to feed our family,” he said.

The hawkers claimed that not allowing vendors to do business is also a violation of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, which guarantees hawkers can continue activity till they are relocated.

“Since non-essential shops have been allowed to operate we should also be permitted for vending,” said the hawkers.

Ambhore pointed out that last year after the lockdown was lifted and non-essential shops were allowed to operate, our members were also permitted to resume their business activity. “However, for no reason, the same is not being followed this year, which has resulted in critical condition of our members and families.”

He further said until they get permission, the association will continue with their silent protest.

Booty worth Rs 1.81 lakh stolen from house in Lakadganj area

Nagpur: An unidentified person struck at a man’s house in Lakadganj area and decamped with Rs 1 lakh in cash and other valuables worth Rs 81,000 when the owner had gone to Pune between May 31 and June 1.

A resident of Plot No. 916, Old Mangalwari, Milinda Nandkumar Itkelwar (59), along with his family had gone to Pune for some function. Taking advantage of the locked house, an unidentified miscreant gained entry into Milinda’s second floor house through a window in the intervening night of May 31 and June 1.

The burglar broke open the latch of the bedroom and decamped with Rs 1 lakh cash and gold ornaments, watch and some important papers kept in steel almirah. Booty worth Rs 1.81 lakh was stolen collectively.

Lakadganj PSI Shinde, based on Milinda Itkelwar’s complaint, registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and searching for the unidentified burglar.

Google shows Kannada “ugliest language in India”, removes it after outrage, Apologises

Following an uproar among Kannadigas, Google hastily withdrew a comment on its search results that said Kannada was the “ugliest language in India,” and also apologised for the “misunderstanding and hurting sentiments.”

The Karnataka government warned of legal action against the search engine giant. “I have instructed officials to send a legal notice to Google for showing such an answer to that kind of a question,” said Aravind Limbavali, Karnataka’s minister for Kannada, Culture and Forest. “Kannada language has a history of its own, having come into existence as many as 2,500 years ago. The language has been the pride of Kannadigas through the ages.”

The minister also demanded an apology from Google on Twitter. “If Kannada is now called ugliest language in India, it is merely an attempt by Google to insult this pride of Kannadigas. Demand apology from Google ASAP to Kannada, Kannadigas. Legal action will be taken against Google for maligning the image of our beautiful language!” he tweeted.

Other political leaders also slammed the search engine giant for the incident. Former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was outraged by it and demanded why Google behaved in such an irresponsible manner in terms of language.

BJP national general secretary CT Ravi tweeted: “Dear @GoogleIndia, Rev. Ferdinand Kittel from Germany produced the first ever Kannada-English dictionary after working on it for 24 years. Ptolemy mentioned Kannada in his treatise. How can Kannada be an ugly language? I am glad you removed the offensive search result.”

तरूणीने केलं आपल्या सख्ख्या भावासोबत लग्न, कारण वाचून व्हाल हैराण

पंजाबमधून एक हैराण करणारी घटना समोर आली आहे. इथे एका तरूणीने आपल्या सख्ख्या भावासोबत लग्न केलं. कारण तिला ऑस्ट्रेलियामध्ये शिफ्ट व्हायचं होतं. लग्नानंतर तिने फेक पासपोर्ट बनवला आणि ऑस्ट्रेलियाला गेली. याची तक्रार एका महिलेने पोलिसात केल्यावर या घटनेचा खुलासा झाला. या प्रकरणात भाऊ-बहिणीचे घरवाले देखील सामिल होते. पंजाब एका गावातील तरूणीला परदेशातून जाऊन रहायचं होतं, पण तिला व्हिसा मिळण्यास अडचण येत होती.

पोलीस अधिकारी जय सिंह म्हणाले की, ‘तपासानुसार आम्हाला अशी माहिती मिळाली की, तरूणीचा भाऊ ऑस्ट्रेलियात स्थायी नागरिक आहे आणि त्याच्या बहिणीने खोटी कागदपत्रे तयार केली. मॅरेज सर्टिफिकेट गुरूद्वारातून तयार करून घेतलं आणि ऑफिसमधून परवानगी घेतली’.

पोलीस अधिकाऱ्यांनी पुढे सांगितले की, ‘त्यांनी सामाजिक व्यवस्था, कायदे व्यवस्था आणि धार्मिक व्यवस्थेसोबत खोटेपणा केला आहे. जेणेकरून देशातून बाहेर जाता यावं. आम्ही रेड टाकत आहोत. पण ते पळत आहेत. सध्या कुणालाच ताब्यात घेण्यात आलेलं नाही’.

खोटी कागदपत्रे तयार करून तरूणी आपल्या भावासोबत ऑस्ट्रेलियाला पळून गेली. तिचा भाऊ ऑस्ट्रेलियात नोकरी करतो. पोलिसांनुसार, हा फसवणुकीचा गंभीर गुन्हा आहे. ज्यात संपूर्ण परिवाराविरोधात गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे. पोलीस घटनेची चौकशी करत आहेत. जय सिंह म्हणाले की, परदेशात जाण्यासाठी लोक अनेक प्रकारे फसवणूक करतात. मात्र, परदेशात जाण्यासाठी सख्ख्या भावासोबत लग्न केल्याची ही पहिलीच घटना ऐकली आहे. ही घटना ऐकल्यावर आम्ही हैराण झालो.

कोरोना महामारीमुळे संपूर्ण जगभरात ‘वर्क फ्रॉम होम’ कल्चर मोठ्या प्रमाणात सुरु झालं. सुरुवातीला नाईलाज म्हणून अनेकांनी वर्क फ्रॉम होम स्वीकारलं होतं. पण वर्षभर वर्क फ्रॉम होम केल्यानंतर आता कर्मचाऱ्यांनाही ते आवडू लागलं आहे. आता जगभरातील पॅटर्ननुसार लोक वर्क फ्रॉम होम असलेल्या नोकऱ्यांना प्राधान्य देत आहेत. तर ज्या कंपन्यांमध्ये ऑफिसमध्ये येणं बंधनकारक केलं जात आहे तिथले कर्मचारी नोकरी सोडण्यासही मागे-पुढे पाहत नाहीत.

एप्रिलमध्ये झालेल्या सर्व्हेचा आश्चर्यकारक निष्कर्ष
एप्रिल महिन्यात फ्लेक्स जॉब्स नावाच्या कंपनीने एक सर्वेक्षण केलं होतं. या सर्वेक्षणात 2100 लोक सहभागी झाले होते. यामध्ये सामील लोकांनी सांगितलं की, “वर्क फ्रॉम होम कल्चर चांगलं आहे आणि ते यापुढेही सुरुच ठेवणं गरजेचं आहे. अशाप्रकारे काम केल्याने अनेक गोष्टींची बचत होते. केवळ जाण्या-येण्याचा खर्च कमी होतो असं नाही तर वेळचेही बचत होते. इतकंच नाही तर ऑफिसमधील राजकारणापासूनही स्वत:ला दूर ठेवण्यास यशस्वी ठरत आहोत.

70 टक्के कंपन्याही वर्क फ्रॉम होमसाठी सकारात्मक
ग्लोबल मार्केट रिसर्च फर्म फोरेस्टरनुसार (Forrester), “यूएस आणि युरोपमधील70 टक्के मल्टिनॅशनल कंपन्या या वर्क फ्रॉम होमचं कल्चर स्वीकारण्याच्या बाजूने आहेत. तर 30 टक्के कंपन्या पारंपरिक कार्यलयाच्या बाजूने आहेत.” विशेष म्हणजे बहुतांश कंपन्यांनी वर्क फ्रॉम होम हे कल्चर पूर्णत: स्वीकारलं आहे.

गूगल, फोर्डसह अनेक कंपन्या समर्थनात
गूगल, फोर्ड आणि सिटीग्रुप यांसारख्या मोठ्या कंपन्या वर्क फ्रॉम होम या हायब्रिड वर्क मॉडेलच्या समर्थनात आहेत. या कंपन्यांचे मोठे अधिकाऱ्यांनी अनेकदा सार्वजनिकरित्या वर्क फ्रॉम होम कल्चरचं कौतुक केलं आहे.

कर्मचाऱ्यांचं ऑफिसऐवजी राजीनाम्याला प्राधान्य
जगभरातून अशी माहितीही समोर येत आहे की, “ज्या कंपन्यांमध्ये कर्मचाऱ्यांना ऑफिसमध्ये परत येण्यासाठी सांगितलं जात आहे, ते ऑफिसला न जाता राजीनामा देण्याला जास्त पसंती देत आहेत. हे कर्मचारी अशा नोकरी च्या शोधात आहेत, जिथे त्यांना ऑफिसमध्ये न जाता वर्क फ्रॉम होम करता येईल.”
