नागपुर : गायक सूरज शर्मा 128 घंटे नॉन स्टॉप गायन कर वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड बनाने की ओर अग्रसर हैं। उन्होंने गायन की शुरुआत 23 फरवरी को सुबह 11:46:39 बजे की थी। सोमवार को दोपहर तक वे 50 घंटे पूरा कर 400 से अधिक गाने गा चुके थे। शर्मा का इस दौरान करीब डेढ़ कलो वजन कम हुआ है। पहले 64 किलो था जो घटकर 62.5 किग्रा हो गया है। डॉक्टर्स की टीम कार्यक्रम स्थल पर लगातार नजर रख रही है। हर चार घंटे बाद उनका बीपी, हार्ट बीट और वजन चेक कया जा रहा है। यूथ वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन, नागपुर द्वारा लोगों में नेत्रदान और अंगदान के प्रति जागरूकता लाने के उद्देश्य से डॉ. बाबासाहब आंबेडकर की 128वीं जयंती के अवसर पर यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया है। कार्यक्रम जसवंत तुली आइनॉक्स मॉल इंदोरा चौक में किया जा रहा है। कार्यक्रम में लोगों का जमावड़ा लगा हुआ है। नॉन स्टॉप सिंगिंग कर वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड बनाने के लिए लोग श्री शर्मा को लगातार उत्साहित कर रहे हैं। अभी तक लगभग 2400 लोगों ने नेत्रदान तथा 100 से अधिक लोगों ने अंगदान के फॉर्म भरे है। गायक शर्मा के लिए डाइटिशियन द्वारा डाइट चार्ट बनवाया गया है, जिसमें उन्हे चिकू, खिचड़ी, ब्लैक लेमन टी, नारियल पानी आदि दिया जा रबा है। साथ ही एनर्जी के लिए हर 4 घंटे बाद ग्लूकोज दिया जा रहा है। खट्टी चीजें नहीं खाने की सलाह दी गई है, ताकि उनकी आवाज खराब न हो। हर 4 घंटे में डॉ. विद्यानंद गायकवाड़ तथा डॉ. इरफान अहमद द्वारा उनका बीपी और हार्ट बीट चेक किया जा रहा है।

संपूर्ण शहरात स्वच्छता, सफाई कर्मचा-यांची कमतरता, मोकाट कुत्रे, डुक्कर आदींची समस्या आहे. स्वच्छता हा आपला दैनंदिन विषय आहे. त्यामुळे यासंबंधी नियमीत कार्यवाही होणे आवश्यक आहे. दररोज स्वच्छता कर्मचा-यांनी जबाबदारीने आपले कर्तव्य बजावावे, यासाठी संबंधित अधिका-यांकडून योग्य वचक असणेही आवश्यक आहे. स्वच्छतेचा थेट प्रभाव नागरिकांच्या आरोग्यावर पडतो. त्यामुळे प्रत्येक झोनमधील सफाई कर्मचा-यांच्या कामावर झोनल अधिका-यांची देखरेख असणे आवश्यक आहे. नागरिकांना ओला व सुका कचरा विलग करण्याची सवय लावणे. स्वच्छतेबाबत नागरिकांच्या कोणत्याही प्रकारच्या तक्रारी राहू नयेत यासाठी प्रत्येक वस्त्यांमध्ये कार्यरत सफाई कर्मचा-यांच्या नावाचे फलक तसेच वस्तीमध्ये सफाई कर्मचा-यांचे हजेरी रजिस्टरबाबत योग्य अंमलबजावणी करणेही गरजेचे आहे. याशिवाय नागरिकांच्या तक्रारींवर तात्काळ दखल घेउन स्वच्छतेबाबत कामचुकारपणा करणा-या सफाई कर्मचा-यांसह झोनल अधिका-यांवर कारवाई करण्याचा इशाराही यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिला. विशेष म्हणजे, ‘महापौर आपल्या दारी’ उपक्रमांतर्गत महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या दौ-यानंतर झोनमध्ये स्वच्छतेच्या तक्रारी कमी झाल्या असून नागरिकांच्या समस्यांचे समाधानही झाले असल्याचे यावेळी सर्व झोनच्या सभापतींनी सांगितले.

Actors Rajendra Gupta and Yatin Karyekar have joined the cast of the upcoming film “PM Narendra Modi“.
Rajendra Gupta will be seen as Modi’s father and Karyekar as Lakshman Rao Inamdar in the film, read a statement.
They have already started shooting for the film in Ahmedabad.
The film is being directed by National Award-winner Omung Kumar and produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi, whose son actor Vivek Anand Oberoi will be playing the title role of Modi.
“I feel extremely honoured to play the role of role of Mr Narendra Modi’s father. This role is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I was overwhelmed when Sandip Ssingh offered me the role,” Rajendra said.
Yatin Karyekar also added: “I am extremely happy and proud to be associated with a film of this stature. I can’t wait for the film to come out and receive it’s due.Shoot of this film has been one of the most memorable ones.”
To this, Ssingh said: “We all are very happy and content with the way both the actors have performed in the film.”
Nagpur : One person killed other one injured after a speeding tanker collided with a two wheeler they were travelling in MIHAN , Nagpur.
The mishap took place on MIHAN bridge on Sunday late night. The tanker driver unaware of the two wheeler dashed it injuring two. The deceased have identified as Pankaj Shankar Jumley (30) died during treatment. He was going to Kalkuhi rehablitation center when the accident occured.
The other injured Vaibhav Sheshrao Jumle(32) is undergoing treatment.
Belarodi police has registered a case against the tanker driver.
नागपूर : मनपातर्फे संचालित ‘आपली बस‘ या प्रकल्पांतर्गत शहरात धावत असलेल्या रेड बसमध्ये दिव्यांग प्रवाशांना व अवलंबित दिव्यांगांच्या सोबत असलेल्या प्रवाशांना शनिवार, २ मार्चपासून नि:शुल्क प्रवासाची सोय उपलब्ध होणार आहे. या प्रवासासाठी दिव्यांग प्रवासीजवळ असलेले प्रमाणपत्र (समाजकल्याण विभागाद्वारे निर्गमित केलेले), रेड शहरबसचा नियोजित कामगिरीवर असलेल्या वाहकांना दाखविणे आवश्यक आहे. जेणेकरून, या प्रमाणपत्राची खात्री वाहकाद्वारे केल्यानंतर नि:शुल्क प्रवासाचे तिकीट देणे शक्य होईल.
परिवहन समिती सभापती बंटी कुकडे यांनी दिव्यांग प्रवाशांना मोफत प्रवासासाठीची योजना तयार केली होती. त्यानुसार समाजकल्याण विभागाने दिव्यांग असल्याचे प्रमाणपत्र दिल्यानंतर आता प्रत्यक्षात मोफत प्रवासाची संधी मिळणार आहे. मनपाने दिव्यांगांना अपंगत्वाचे प्रमाणपत्र वाहकास दाखवून नि:शुल्क प्रवासाचा लाभ घ्यावा, असे आवाहन केले आहे.
नागपूर : शुल्लक कारणावरून युवकाने दोन युवकांवर धारदार शस्त्राने वार करून त्यांना ठार मारण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. ही घटना टिळकनगर टी पॉइंटजवळ रविवारी रात्री घडली. पोलिसांनी प्राणघातक हल्ल्याचा गुन्हा दाखल करून हल्लेखोर युवकाला अटक केली आहे.

रविवारी रात्री अक्षय व अंशुल टिळकनगरमधील चायनिज ठेल्यावर आले. दोघे बोलत होते. याचवेळी राहुल तेथे आला. आपल्याला बघून दोघे बोलत असल्याचा संशय राहुल याला आला. त्याने दोघांसोबत वाद घातला. वाद विकोपाला गेला. राहुल याने धारदार शस्त्राने अक्षय व अंशुलवर वार केले. रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात दोघे खाली पडले. राहुल पसार झाला. माहिती मिळताच अंबाझरी पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला. पोलिसांनी दोघांना खासगी हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल केले. पोलिसांनी प्राणघातक हल्ल्याचा गुन्हा दाखल करून राहुल याला अटक केली.
Indian Air Force fighter planes struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp across the Line of Control in Balakote, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa early on Tuesday morning, intelligence sources have said.
The IAF used Mirage-2000 jets with laser-guided bombs causing an estimated casualty of 200-300, the sources said. The laser guided bombs are built with Israeli technology and were first used in Kargil. The air strike happened around 3.30 am.

नागपुर : सिंकदराबाद एक्सप्रेस के महिला कोच की सीढ़ियों पर एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति का सिर पाया गया। इस घटना के बाद नागपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर हलचल मच गई। ट्रेन के सीढ़ियों पर एक व्यक्ति का सिर कैसे और कौन लाया इस के बाद यात्रियों में डर का महौल पैदा हो गया। घटना की जानकारी मिलने के बाद, आंध्रप्रदेश के काजीपेठ रेलवे पुलिस अधिकारी नागपूर आकर शख्स का सिर अपने साथ लेके गये। इस मृत व्यक्ती का धड काजीपेठ मे मिला था, तो सिर सिकंदराबाद एक्स्प्रेस से नागपुर आग गया । इस आत्महत्या करने वाले व्यक्ति के बारे में अधिक जानकारी ली जा रही है।
शनिवार सुबह, एक व्यक्ति ने काजीपेठ में रेलवे पटरियों पर आत्महत्या कर ली। पुलिस ने पाया कि उसका शरिर काजीपेठ में पडा था लेकिन सिर गाडी के सीढ़िओं में फस कर सिधा नागपूर तक चला गया । नागपुर रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर 6 पर, 12771 सिकंदराबाद-नागपुर एक्सप्रेस शनिवार सुबह 8.15 बजे पहुंची। इस वाहन की जांच करते समय, रेलवे सुरक्षा बल के जवान ने पाया कि एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति का सिर इंजन के पास महिला कोच के सीढ़ियों में फंस गया था। तुरंत उन्होंने उप प्रबंधक और रेलवे पुलिस को सूचना दी।
Nagpur : A case of murder over an alleged love triangle has surfaced in Nagpur. Surprisingly, the killer seems to have carried out black magic rituals near the victim’s body. The deceased has been identified as Rahul Turkey, 30. The incident took place at Sant Gadge Nagar area of Nagpur. It is alleged that Ritesh Sikwar killed Rahul by smashing his head with a hammer. Rahul was conservancy worker with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation while Ritesh worked as a waiter at Satpuda Bar.
According to the information, Ritesh was in a relationship with a girl. They broke up some time ago. Later the girl allegedly began a relationship with Rahul. It is reported that Rahul had married the girl. Ritesh was angry with the development. Ritesh called Rahul to his home on Sunday where the duo had liquor. They entered into arguments while drinking. When the arguments continued, irked Ritesh assaulted Rahul with a hammer in the heat of the moment, killing him on the spot.
Accused Ritesh locked the house and fled the scene. Ritesh’s father returned home in the evening only to find the body in the house. He immediately reported the matter to the police. A team of the police arrived at the spot and sent the body for autopsy.
Nagpur : One often hears about marital discord in households where the husband and wife often get into ugly arguments but a shocking turn of events took place in Nagpur where a woman murdered her husband. The accused killed her abusive husband by hitting him with bricks after he came home drunk and was being aggressive.
In order to cover up the crime, she herself reported the matter to the police and claimed that a wall had collapsed on him, resulting in his death. Inderal Inwati and his wife Laxmibai lived with their children in Yashodharnagar area of Nagpur city. Inderal was working as a construction worker in Nagpur. Inderlal was an alcoholic and would often beat his wife in drunken rage. When his father-in-law tried to stop him, he also beat him. Laxmibai and her father Dashrath both were upset due to this abusive behaviour.On Friday night, a drunk Inderlal reached home and the couple had a heated argument. Inderlal started beating his wife and in retaliation, she attacked him with bricks. Her father also beat the man and he was fatally injured.
After this incident, Laxmibai hatched a plan to save herself. She reached the police station and told cops that on Friday night, at around 11 PM, a brick wall fell on her husband while he was returning from work and he died. Police also registered a case of an accidental death.

Nagpur : Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering and Technology to organise Third Vidarbha Student Parliament on February 25. Former, Supreme Court Judge, Justice Vikas Sirpurkar will inaugurate the event at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall.
The objective of the Parliament is to give a platform and an opportunity to all those who aim to be a dynamic leader and are put forth their point of view and opinions firmly. More than 100 colleges are to participate in the said event.

Nagpur : MahaMetro Nagpur cleared a major obstacle, when it bagged the all-important certificate from Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO). The RDSO certificate was given to Metro, after Oscillation Trials were conducted by the 11-member RDSO team recently. With RDSO certificate under its belt, Maha Metro Nagpur now awaits permission from Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) team, scheduled to visit soon.
MahaMetro bagged the RDSO certificate within few days of the team’s visit to the city and inspection. The certificate was given on the rolling stock procured from CRRC, China by MahaMetro for Reach-I. The certificate validates fitness of important aspects of Metro train including track, rolling stock and OHE.
During its visit and inspection, the 11-member RDSO team had monitored the train movement for some of the major safety parameters including emergency brake distance (EBD) System, acceleration and deceleration of train, oscillation etc. Sand bags were kept in the train, as part of the various tests conducted by RDSO. The tests were conducted under dry and wet conditions. Sand bags weighing 64 tonnes were kept in the train as part of the oscillation trials and all the results of the tests were monitored and recorded by the team.
The team studied all the reports recorded during the trial and then awarded the certificate. The awarding of certificate means that MahaMetro Nagpur has gone a step ahead towards launching of passenger services. Now MahaMetro is awaiting CMRS nod for launch of operations. Thus, Nagpurians’ dream of a Metro ride is set to be a reality soon.
नागपूर : देशात २०३० पर्यंत पेट्रोल-डिझेलवर धावणाऱ्या कारऐवजी ई-कार म्हणजे विजेच्या बॅटरीवर चालणाऱ्या इलेक्ट्रिक कार रस्त्यावर आणण्याचे लक्ष भारताने ठेवले असले, तरी मूलभूत सोयींअभावी ई-कारचा वापर अपेक्षित वेगाने वाढत नसल्याचे दिसून आले आहे. नागपूर या महाराष्ट्राच्या उपराजधानीचे उदाहरण या संदर्भात बोलके ठरावे. ३० लाखांवर लोकसंख्या असलेल्या या शहरात जेमतेम ५० जणांनी खासगी स्वरूपात ई-कारचा वापर सुरू केला आहे.
एकुणात सर्वत्र ई-कार्सच्या संदर्भातले चित्र फारसे समाधानकारक नाही. विक्रीच्या तुलनेत या कार्सचा होणारा वापर २५-३० टक्क्यांच्या वर जाताना दिसत नाही. आरटीओतील सूत्रांच्या माहितीनुसार, उपराजधानीत खासगी व्यक्तींकडे आणाऱ्या ई-कारची संख्या ५०च्या आतच आहे. ‘ओला’ने दीडशे ‘बॅटरी कार’ नागपुरात उपलब्ध करून दिल्या. त्यातील बहुतांशी गाड्या बंदच असल्याची माहिती आहे.
केंद्र आणि राज्य सरकारकडून ई-कारला चालना देण्याच्या दृष्टीने प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत. मात्र, त्यांना अपेक्षित यश येताना दिसत नाही. जाणकारांच्या मते, ई-कारची किंमत अन्य कारच्या तुलनेत फारच अधिक आहे. करांमध्ये सूट देऊनसुद्धा बॅटरी कार घेणे मध्यमवर्गीय कुटुंबाला परवडणारे नाही.
बिघाड आल्यास मेकॅनिक सहजतेने उपलब्ध नाही. चार्जिंग स्टेशन्स अल्प प्रमाणात आहेत आणि तीसुद्धा प्रामुख्याने शहरात आहेत. बाहेरगावी जायचे असल्यास चार्जिंग स्टेशन मिळेलच याची शाश्वती नाही. शिवाय बॅटरी लवकर खराब होत असल्याची धारणा लोकांमध्ये आहे. त्यामुळे संत्रानगरीत ई-कारचा हवा तसा खप नाही.
मूलभूत सोयी अपुऱ्या
अभ्यासकांच्या मते ई-कार्सच्या स्वीकारार्हतेत येणाऱ्या अडचणी सोडवण्याकडे सरकारने लक्ष देण्याची गरज आहे. सर्वांत महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे ई-कारसाठी लागणाऱ्या मूलभूत सोयी तातडीने उपलब्ध करून द्यायला हव्यात. हे नवे तंत्रज्ञान आहे. त्याचा वापर वाढण्यासाठी उपयोगिता आणि खर्च या दोन्ही गोष्टींकडे लक्ष द्यायला हवे. शिवाय, चांगले रस्ते, पुरेसे चार्जिंग स्टेशन्स आणि बिघाड आल्यास मदत मिळण्यासाठी व्यवस्था हे सारे आधी करावे आणि नंतर लगेच ई-कार घेण्यासाठी लोकांना प्रवृत्त केले पाहिजे, असे जाणकार म्हणतात. नागपुरात विकास कामे सुरू असल्यामुळे अनेक ठिकाणी वाहतुकीचा खोळंबा होतो तेव्हा या गाड्यांची बॅटरी उतरून जाते. दीर्घ पल्ल्याच्या प्रवासात अद्यापही या कार्स विश्वासार्ह वाटत नाहीत, हीदेखील एक अडचण असल्याचे जाणकार सांगतात.
फक्त सात चार्जिंग पॉइंट
मोठ्या प्रमाणावर चार्जिंग पॉइंट सुरू करण्याची घोषणा ओला कंपनीने केली होती. पण, कंपनीची विमानतळ, श्रीकृष्णनगर चौक, संविधान चौक या तीन ठिकाणी चार्जिंग स्टेशन्स आहे. लकडगंजच्या पेट्रोल पंपावर आणि कामठी रोडवरील एका पंपावर चार्जिंग पॉइंट सुरू करण्यात आले. महावितरणने अमरावती मार्गावरील उपकेंद्रात चार्जिंग स्टेशन साकारले आहे.
मोबाईलप्रमाणे ई-कारच्या चार्जिंग पिन्स वेगवेगळ्या धाटणीच्या असतात. प्रामुख्याने भारत प्रोटोकॉल व महिंद्रा प्रोटोकॉल या दोन पद्धतीच्या कार चार्जिंग पिन्स आहेत. ‘ओला’च्या स्टेशनवर महिंद्रा प्रोटोकॉलचे चार्जर उपलब्ध आहे. घरी चार्जिंग करायचे झाल्यास सुमारे सहा तासांचा अवधी लागतो, तर चार्जिंग स्टेशनवर ५० मिनिटे ते दोन तासांत चार्जिंग पूर्ण होऊ शकते.
Nagpur : A picnic party turned into tragedy when a speeding private bus carrying 45 residents of Lakadganj to Surabardi collided head-on with a truck and later overturned on a stationary car near Kalmeshwar on Sunday. At least 30 occupants of the bus were injured in the accident.
According to police, morning walkers of Lakadganj garden had planned a picnic and hired a bus for Surabardi. The passengers boarded the bus (MH-49/AT-3249) on Sunday morning. At around 9 am, when the bus was passing from MIDC Chowk near Kalmeshwar, a speeding truck collided with the bust head-on. The impact of the collision was so strong that the driver lost control over the wheels and the bus overturned on a car (MH-31/DC-1127) parked near the chowk. A large number of villagers gathered at the spot and rescued the passengers from the bus.

नागपूर – आत्महत्याग्रस्त शेतकऱ्याच्या कुटुंबीयांचा जगण्यासाठी सुरू असलेला संघर्ष मांडणाऱ्या ‘तेरावं’ नाटकाचा प्रयोग नागपुरात रंगला. या नाटकाचा प्रयोग पाहून उपस्थित प्रेक्षक स्तब्ध झाले. साहित्य संम्मेलनाप्रमाणेच नाट्य संमेलनातील नाटकाचा हा प्रयोग प्रेक्षकांची विशेष दाद मिळवून गेला.
श्याम पेठकर लिखित आणि हरिष इथापे दिग्दर्शित या नाटकातून शेतकरी विधवांचे दुःख न मांडता त्याच्या जगण्यातील सकारात्मक संघर्ष मांडण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात आला. आत्महत्याग्रस्त शेतकरी कुटुंबातील ५ विधवा, ४ मुली आणि ऍग्रो थिएटरचे कलाकारांनी मिळून हा नाट्यविष्कार सादर केला.
शेतकऱ्यांच्या विधवा पत्नींना जगताना कौटुंबीक आणि सामाजिक दृष्ट्या येणाऱ्या अडचणी आणि त्यावर तेरावं संघटनेद्वारे शोधलेले उपाय या नाटकातून मांडण्यात आले. याशिवाय पती नसताना भेडसावणाऱ्या अडचणी या नाटकातून मांडण्यात आल्या आहेत. ग्रामीण भागातील अंधश्रद्धा, मद्यपान, अविश्वास, कौटुंबिक कलह यातून निर्माण होणारे प्रश्नांनाही या नाटकातून वाचा फोडण्यात आली आहे.
शेतकऱ्याच्या विधवा पत्नीला शेती करण्याची परवानगी कुटुंबीयांनी द्यावी. शक्य असल्यास शेती सुनेच्या नावे करावी, असा संदेश या नाटकाद्वारे देण्यात आला आहे. नाट्य संमेलनात प्रयोग केल्यामुळे आपला आत्मविश्वास वाढल्याचे या महिला आणि मुलींनी सांगितले. नाटकाच्या माध्यमातून आपले म्हणणे जगासमोर मांडण्याचा प्रयत्न केल्याची भावना त्यांनी व्यक्त केली. तेरवचा हा प्रयोग म्हणजे ९९ व्या अखिल भारतीय मराठी नाटय संमेलनाचा सर्वात उत्कर्षबिंदू ठरला.
नागपूर : दारु पिऊन त्रास देत असल्याने सासऱ्याने मुलीच्या मदतीने जावायाची हत्या केली. ही खळबळजनक घटना यशोधरानगरमधील भिलगाव येथे शनिवारी सकाळी उघडकीस आली. याप्रकरणी पोलिसांनी हत्येचा गुन्हा दाखल करून सासऱ्याला अटक केली आहे. दशरथ मरसकोल्हे (वय ६३), असे अटकेतील सासऱ्याचे तर इंदरलाल इनवाती (वय ४५), असे मृताचे नाव आहे. लक्ष्मीबाई (वय ४० तिन्ही मूळ रा. सीतापार,सिवनी), असे अन्य मारेकऱ्याचे नाव आहे. इंदरलाल मजुरी करीत होते. लक्ष्मीबाई व दशरथही मजुरी करतात. काही दिवसांपूर्वी कामासाठी तिघेही नागपुरात आले. भिलगावमधील बुद्धनगर भागातील निर्माणाधाीन इमारतीच्या बाजूला झोपडीत ते राहातात. इंदरलाल याला दारुचे व्यवसन होते. दारु पिऊन तो लक्ष्मीबाई व दशरथला त्रास देत होता. त्याच्या सततच्या त्रासाला दोघेही कंटाळले. शुक्रवारी रात्री इंदरलाल दारु पिऊन आला. त्याने लक्ष्मीबाई व दशरथसोबत वाद घातला. संतप्त दशरथ व लक्ष्मीबाई या दोघांनी त्याला विटभट्टीजवळ नेले. विटांनी त्याच्या डोक्यावर वार केले. यात इंदरलाल याचा मृत्यू झाला. शनिवारी सकाळी ११ वाजता ही घटना उघडकीस आली. पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद करून तपास सुरू केला. तपासादरम्यान लक्ष्मीबाई व दशरथने हत्या केल्याचे समोर आले. पोलिसांनी हत्येचा गुन्हा दाखल करून दशरथ याला अटक केली.
रेतीत लपविला मृतदेह
हत्या केल्यानंतर दोघांनी इंदरलाल याचा मृतदेह जवळीलच रेतीच्या ढिगाऱ्याखाली लपविला. शनिवारी सकाळी लक्ष्मीबाई यशोधरानगर पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये आली. दारु पिऊन पती खाली पडला. डोक्याला मार लागल्याने त्याचा मृत्यू झाला, असे तिने पोलिसांना सांगितले. माहिती मिळताच वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक प्रदीप रायणवार यांच्यासह पोलिसांचा ताफा घटनास्थळी पोहोचला. पंचनामा करून पोलिसांनी मृतदेह मेयो हॉस्पिटलकडे रवाना केला. पोलिसांना या ठिकाणी रक्ताने माखलेल्या दोन विटा आढळल्या. याचदरम्यान डॉक्टरांनी प्राथमिक अहवाल दिला. डोक्यावर वार केल्याने इंदरलालचा मृत्यू झाल्याची शक्यता पोलिसांनी वर्तविली. त्यानंतर पोलिसांनी लक्ष्मीबाई व दशरथची कसून चौकशी केली. चौकशीदरम्यान दोघांनी इंदरलालची हत्या केल्याचे मान्य केले. पोलिसांनी दहशरथला अटक केली. रविवारी लक्ष्मीबाईला अटक करण्यात येईल.
Nagpur : Vidarbha women defeated Jharkhand by seven wickets to register their consecutive third victory in Senior Women’s T20 League match at VCA Kalamna ground, here on Sunday.
Batting first Jharkhand scored 78 for 8 in 20 overs. Kavita (30) was the main scorer. For Vidarbha Komal Zanzad got two wickets for 11 runs. Nupur Kohale, Vaishnavi Khandkar and Reena Paul took one wicket each.
In reply Vidarbha chased the target in 12.1 overs losing just three wickets. Disha Kasat (22), Kanchan Nagwani (16) and Bharti Fulmali (14 not out) fashioned the victory.
Nagpur : Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule urged the administration to ensure that benefit of fixed income scheme meant for farmers reaches all the needy. He was speaking after launching the Central Government-sponsored Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana in Nagpur District.
The programme was held at Bachat Bhawan at District Collectorate. District Collector Aswhin Mudgal, Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Fadke, Deputy Collector Sujata Gandhe, Resident Deputy Collector Ravindra Khajanchi, District Agriculture Officer S Tasre and Tehsildar Mohan Tikle also were present on the occasion.
Bawankule said that the list of beneficiary farmers is prepared in a very short time by Agriculture Wing of Collectorate and Zilla Parishad for launch of the Yojana. The money will be directly transferred to accounts of farmers and the Minister urged former to make judicious use of money and trying to take more production and curtail the expenditure. The scheme is meant to ensure that farmers can lead a respectful life and Government is committed for the same.
As per the list prepared by Collectorate, the eligible farmers number is around 3,44,,111 and farmers having farm land upto 2 Ha numbers 2,43,270.
On the occasion, Bawankule felicitated ten farmers who are beneficiaries of the schemes. This included Pundlik More, Jagdish Kapade, Sudhakar Sontakke, Vijay Timane, all from village Satnavari; Rahul Thool from Waranga, Krishna Borkar from Ghoti, Sanghamitra Wairagade from Parsodi (Gokhale), Sunil Koneke from Mahadula and Arvind Bhanare from Bilgaon, Harshal Agarkar.
Maharashtra Government has agreed to implement Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana in State from December 1, 2019, onwards. As per the scheme, a family unit comprising husband-wife plus children below 18-years of age, and having land holding upto 2 Ha would be eligible for benefit upto Rs. 2,000/week and each year upto Rs. 6,000 in three installments. The first installment of the scheme would be credited in farmers account by March 31. List of eligible farmers is being prepared village wise having details including each farmers should provide details about his name, category, Aaadhar number, bank account details, IFSC code, Mobile number and date of birth plus house address. Government has set up committees at State, District, Taluka and Village level to monitor implementation of the scheme. DAO S Tasre proposed a vote of thanks.

THE TEN YEAR JOURNEY
I have been someone who stayed away from humans for the most part of my teenage. I sucked at making friends. I was always enveloped by trolls who wouldn’t bat an eye about the dreams I carried. I dropped out of my engineering because of my inability to mix up with a huge crowd.
My first book turned out to be a critic disaster and life was taking a very ugly turn.
Meanwhile, I traveled a lot after my first book. I enjoyed promising careers as a travel writer and later, a travel speaker. I delivered by first TED(x) at 19. I was already holding thousands of readers by 20 but that just took me closer to a very narcissist approach towards life.
I thought I was flawless at everything. I thought I have learned everything. That’s where I started to fall.
Being alone, surrounded by all the negative vibes and half knowledge about everything, I was destined to give up. I was being bashed for my inability to perform at par with others.
I turned Twenty One.
That’s where I opened my first book religiously.
I started reading.
I started researching.
I would open numerous research papers on the History of India. I started developing an inclination towards the forgotten civilisations and politics. I would read, re-read, and develop alternate scenarios in my head every day. I took a break from a very public life that I enjoyed, in order to finally start learning.
‘Dharma’ was the term that always fascinated me. The knowledge in Hindu(ism) and the hidden consciousness in Hindu culture transformed me. I realised an affinity towards both awareness and the art of giving.
I started learning different aspects of writing. I became a changed man who had the patience and honesty with self. I knew my loopholes and I was working on removing them, through curiosity and reading. I learned various forms of literature. I tried diverse career options, from professorship to travel script writing, spiritual column writing, poetry, public speaking, entrepreneurship, and political commentary. My journey restarted where I would pick up people who are as isolated as I was, I trained them with all my energies, gave them all I could and the bright little smile of satisfaction and prosperity they carried erased my loneliness within. I was surrounded by hundreds of storytellers who would not only look up to me but also travel carve different paths with a sense of confidence.
I am Twenty-Five now.
A little less ambitious than before, but finally surrounded by genuine faces, a writer in every major city of India, happy parents and no more a loner. My 10 year was adventurous, striking, and decisive. Finding the lost wisdom of India’s fascinating past presented me with my own self. This is the purpose of “The Modern Day Hindu” book.

Nagpur : National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) and Pench Tiger Reserve has organised a three day national level conference on saving tiger, tranquilizing, rescuing, rehabilitating and developing skills, at Amaltas Tourist Complex, Sillari.
The main objective of this workshop was to train all the veterans and wild life staff members, due to a notable increase in man animal conflict situations in India. Approximately 5 personnel including 10 from Maharashtra are take part in the workshop.
Member Secretary NTCA, Delhi inaugurated the workshop on Thursday, whereas, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Protection), Nagpur was the chief guest of the workshop.
While addressing the audience, Dr. Nayak informed that NTCA in interested in strengthening the States to take hold of emergency situation and constructively handling the man – animal conflict.
Hooda addressed that there is a need for making modification in the standard operating procedure about rescue operation in the present situation.

New Delhi : Apurvi Chandela was the only Indian to make it to the first final of the season-opening International Shooting Sport FederationWorld Cup in New Delhi as she qualified for the women’s 10m air rifle final on Saturday.
The 26-year-old Apurvi Chandela was placed fourth out of the eight finalists with a total score of 629.3 after qualification at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range.
The other two Indians in the fray – Anjum Moudgil and Elavenil Valarivan – finished 12th (628) and 30th (625.3) respectively.
China’s Ruozhu Zhao topped the chart with a qualification World Record score of 634.
India have already clinched the maximum of two Olympic quota sports for Tokyo 2020 in this category, when Moudgil and Chandela has finished second and fourth respectively at the 2018 World Championship in Changwon.
Bengaluru : Days after an Air Force pilot died after two Hawk jet aircraft of the Surya Kiran aerobatics team collided mid-air at Aero India 2019, a massive fire broke out on Saturday in the car parking area near the venue of Aero Show in Bengaluru. Though no casualty has been reported so far, but around 300 vehicles burnt in the incident. Senior police officer MN Reddi said that the fire has been doused after 10 fire force and five other fire engines were put in use.
According to reports, Badminton star PV Sindhu flew in the HAL’s Light Combat Aircraft Tejas at the show.
On February 19, one of the three pilots in two Hawk Advanced Jet Trainers (AJT) of the Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team (SKAT)) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) died in a crash after colliding in mid-air at the Yelahanka IAF base on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Wg Cdr V T Shelke and Sqn Ldr T J Singh managed to eject safely while Wg Cdr Sahil Gandhi sustained fatal injuries and died. The accident took place when both the aircraft were rehearsing for the Aero India Show 2019 just a day before its opening. The Bengaluru Police said one civilian was also injured and the debris had fallen over ISRO Layout in Yelahanka new town area.
नागपूर : झेंडा, फक्त लढ म्हणा, मोरया यासारख्या चित्रपटांच्या माध्यमातून घराघरांत पोहचलेला सुप्रसिद्ध अभिनेता संतोष जुवेकर यांनी शुक्रवारी (ता. २२) नागपूर महानगरपालिका मुख्यालयातील परिवहन कार्यालयाला भेट दिली.
परिवहन समिती सभापती जितेंद्र (बंटी) कुकडे यांनी त्यांचे शाल, श्रीफळ, स्मृतिचिन्ह देऊन स्वागत केले. यावेळी शिक्षण समिती सभापती दिलीप दिवे, नेहरूनगर झोन सभापती रिता मुळे प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या प्रयत्नाने नागपुरात सुरू झालेल्या पर्यावरणपूरक बस सेवेचे त्यांनी कौतुक केले. नागरिकांनी सार्वजनिक वाहतूक व्यवस्थेचा वापर करावा, असे आवाहन त्यांनी यावेळी केले. नागपुरात अखिल भारतीय मराठी नाट्य संमेलन आयोजित करण्यात आले आहे. त्यानिमित्त संतोष जुवेकर नागपुरात आलेले आहेत. संतोष जुवेकर यांनी मराठी चित्रपटांसोबतच हिंदी चित्रपटातसुद्धा काम केले आहे. चित्रपट अभिनेता मनोज वाजपेयी यांच्यासोबत दोन हिंदी चित्रपटांचे चित्रीकरण सध्या सुरू असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. या दोन्ही चित्रपटात त्यांची महत्त्वाची भूमिका करीत आहेत.
संतोष जुवेकर यांनी महानगरपालिकेमार्फत सुरू असलेल्या विविध योजनांची माहिती जाणून घेतली. महापालिकेद्वारे सुरू असलेले प्रकल्प पथदर्शी आहेत, असे त्यांनी सांगितले. यावेळी उपस्थित अधिकाऱ्यांच्या व कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या प्रश्नांला समर्पक उत्तरे त्यांनी दिलीत. कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन योगेश लुंगे यांनी केले. आभार जनसंपर्क अधिकारी अशोक कोल्हटकर यांनी मानले.
यावेळी प्रशासकीय अधिकारी रवींद्र पागे, श्रम अधिकारी अरूण पिपुरडे, परिवहन अभियंता योगेश लुंगे, प्रभव बोकारे, सुनील शुक्ला, बी.आऱ सोनटक्के, रामराव मातकर, विनय भारद्वाज, गिरीश महाजन यांच्यासह परिवहन विभागाचे अधिकारी व कर्मचारी प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
नागपूर : नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या शाळा आता डिजीटल होणार आहेत. महापालिकेच्या १५० शाळांचे वर्ग आता डिजीटल पद्धतीने सुरू करण्यात येणार आहे. शिक्षण समितीतर्फे शाळा डिजीटल करण्याबाबत पालकमंत्र्यांकडे प्रस्ताव पाठविण्यात आला होता. त्याला पालकमंत्र्यांनी मंजुरी दिली आहे. या कामासाठी सहा कोटी रूपयांचा निधी देखील शासनाच्या वतीने देण्यात आला असल्याची माहिती शिक्षण समिती सभापती दिलीप दिवे यांनी दिली. शुक्रवारी (ता.२२) मनपा मुख्यालयात शिक्षण समितीची बैठक आयोजित कऱण्यात आली होती. त्यावेळी ते बोलत होते.
यावेळी उपसभापती भारती बुंदे, सदस्य रिता मुळे, राजेंद्र सोनकुसरे, प्रमिला मंथरानी, मनोजकुमार गावंडे, मो .इब्राहिम तौफिक अहमद, उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
सदर बैठकीत मनपा शाळेतील सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांना बूट व मोजे देण्याचा प्रस्ताव पारीत करण्यात आला. पालकमंत्र्यांच्या अभिनंदनाचा ठरावही पारीत करण्यात आला. बनातवाला शाळेसाठी मनपाने चार कोटी रुपये खर्च करून तयार केलेल्या इमारतीचे लोकार्पण पालकमंत्री यांच्या हस्ते लवकरच करण्याचा निर्णयही यावेळी घेण्यात आला.
पुढे बोलताना समिती सभापती प्रा.दिवे म्हणाले, यावर्षी विद्यार्थ्यांना गणवेशासह स्वेटर पुस्तकांचे वाटप करण्यात येणार आहे. शाळेतील विद्यार्थ्यांच्या पटसंख्येत वाढ होण्यासाठी देखिल प्रयत्न करण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती त्यांनी यावेळी दिली. सायकल बॅंक योजनेअंतर्गत दुरून येणाऱ्या प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्यांला सायकलचे वितरण करण्यात येणार आहे. प्रारंभी शिक्षण समिती सभापती प्रा.दिवे यांनी शाळा निरिक्षकाकडून स्वेटर वाटप केल्याबाबत शाळानिहाय आढावा घेतला. महापालिकेच्या शाळांमध्ये इयत्ता ५ ते १० वर्गात सेमी इंग्रजी माध्यम सुरू करण्याबाबत बैठकीत चर्चा झाली. शासनाच्या निर्णयानुसार नागरी भागातील शाळांमध्ये शालेय पोषण आहार देण्याबाबत विचार करण्यात यावा, त्याचप्रमाणे शासनाच्या निर्देशानुसार व अध्यादेशानुसार त्याची अंमलबजावणी व्हावी, असे निर्देश सभापती दिलीप दिवे यांनी दिले. पुढील शैक्षणिक वर्षात घड्याळी तासिका शिक्षक नियुक्त करण्याबाबत शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार यांनी प्रस्ताव समितीपुढे सादर केला. त्यावर बोलताना समिती सभापती यांनी लवकरच या प्रस्तावावर विचार करण्यात येईल, असे सांगितले.
Nagpur : The encroachment removal team of Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) removed illegal structures in Nari locality in North Nagpur.
Encroachment done by Shramjivi Grahnirman Sanstha on an open area of NIT adjacent to plot number 73 A was demolished by the NIT squad.
Similarly, temporary structures erected by petty vendors like a chicken centre, a pan kiosk and a garage on plot no 290 in Binaki area were also razed to the ground by the NIT squad.
NIT Executive Engineer (North Zone) R N Meghrajani, Zonal Officer (North) Sudhir Rathod, Junior Engineer Ms Shivani Barai, Manohar Patil and other NIT employees participated in the encroachment removal drive.
Nagpur : Maha Metro has proposed major discounted inaugural fares for the commuters of city and a ride from Sitabuldi Interchange to Khapri Metro Station will cost only Rs 20 as Metro Fare. The regular fare was fixed at Rs 34 for this 13-km distance, but it has been slashed substantially to woo more riders to enjoy Metro Ride.
Maha Metro Nagpur is all set to launch operations from Khapri Metro Station to Sitabuldi Interchange and from Lokmanya Nagar to Subhash Nagar Metro Station. The discount in the inaugural fares would be for the period of one month.
The discounted fare would prove to be all the more rewarding, as summer sets in and a cool Metro journey would give citizens the much needed relief from the scorching Sun and the rising temperatures. The journey with Metro Train would not just help fight the heat, but also ensure shorter journey time, according to Maha Metro officials.
Distance between Sitabuldi Interchange and Khapri Metro Station is 13 km for which barely Rs 20 will charged instead of regular fare of Rs 34. Similarly, short distance journey spanning upto 3 metro stations would be extremely cheap as the passenger will have to pay just Rs 10. The comparative fare for the similar distance as decided is Rs 23.
Maha Metro had launched Joy Ride services about a year back and close to 10,000 Nagpurians have enjoyed this fun ride in a span of six months and their experience was extremely fascinating.
