नागपूर : शहरात सुरू असलेल्या विकास कामांतर्गत सीमेंट काँक्रीट रस्ते बांधकामादरम्यान शहरातील विविध भागातील वाहतूक बंद करण्यात येणार आहे. यासंबंधी आदेश नुकतेच मनपा आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी पारित केले.
सीमेंट काँक्रीट रस्ते प्रकल्प टप्पा-३ मध्ये रस्ता क्रमांक ३४ गोकुळपेठ बाजार, कॉफी हाउस चौक ते रामनगर टेकडी रोड दरम्यान सीमेंट रस्त्याचे बांधकाम सुरू होत आहे. त्यामुळे ३० एप्रिलपर्यंत या रस्त्यावरील उजव्या बाजूची वाहतूक बंद राहील. या मार्गावरील वाहतूक डाव्या बाजुने दुतर्फा केली जाईल.
याशिवाय रस्ता क्रमांक ३२ दरम्यानचा बोरगाव चौक ते अवस्थी नगर ते सादीकाबाद टी-पॉईंट दरम्यान रस्ता सीमेंट काँक्रीट करण्याचे प्रस्तावित असल्याने या मार्गावरील उजवीकडील वाहतूक ३० एप्रिलपर्यंत बंद राहिल. सदर मार्गावरील वाहतून डाव्या बाजुने दुतर्फा सुरू राहील.

नागपूर : नागपूरच्या सार्वजनिक वाहतूक व्यवस्थेत आता सीएनजी बसेसची भर पडणार आहे. २ मार्च, शनिवारी सीएनजीमध्ये परवर्तित केलेल्या दोन डिझेल बसेसचे लोकार्पण केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरींच्या हस्ते होणार आहे. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या मुख्यालयात सकाळी ११ वाजता हा कार्यक्रम होणार असल्याची माहिती परिवहन समितीचे सभापती बंटी कुकडे यांनी दिली. महापालिकेचा शहरातील रस्त्यावर चालणाऱ्या सर्व १७० बसेस सीएनजीमध्ये परवर्तित करण्याचा मानस आहे. टप्प्याटप्याने असे करण्यात येईल. पहिल्या टप्प्यात महापालिका ५० डिझेल बसेस सीएनजीमध्ये परवर्तित करण्यात येतील. वर्षभराच्या काळात ही प्रक्रिया पूर्ण करण्यात येईल असेही त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले. यामुळे महापालिकेचा इंधनावर खर्च होणाऱ्या निधीत बचत होणार असल्याचा दावाही त्यांनी केला.
इथेनॉलवर चालणाऱ्या बसेसबद्दल बोलताना कुकडे म्हणाले, सध्या ग्रीन बस ऑपरेटर स्कॅनिया कमर्शियल व्हेईकल्स इंडिया प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेडकडून बसेस ताब्यात घेण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू आहे. रेड बस ऑपरेटरपैकी एक असलेल्या ट्रॅव्हल टाइमकडूनही या बसेस ताब्यात घेण्यात येईल. एकदा ही प्रक्रिया पार पडल्यावर शहरात पुन्हा एकदा या बसेस धावताना दिसतील. त्याचबरोबर महापालिका स्कॅनिया कंपनीचे १० कोटींची थकबाकी लवकरच अदा करेल असेही कुकडे यांनी स्पष्ट केले.

NAGPUR : The sensational murder of printing press owner Sanjay Dhanraj Chavan turned out to be a case of contract killing with Hudkeshwar Police arresting four persons, including a police constable, wife of the deceased wife and her paramour, for their direct involvement in the homicide.
The accused have been identified as Police Constable Prakash Chandrashekhar Jawade (26), a resident of Plot No. 8, Chandra Nagar, Juni Pardi, Bhandara Road; Sneha Sanjay Chauhan (27), Yogesh Purshottam Gahane (27), both residents of Ganesh Apartment, Plot No. 104, A-Wing, Sanjuba High School Road, Dighori, and Aakash alias Bittu Omprakash Somkuwar (28), a resident of Plot No. 486, Kushi Nagar, Jaripatka.
Sneha, wife of Sanjay Chavan (36) and mother of Aniruddha (5), had extramarital affair with Yogesh who also stays in her flat scheme. Sneha wanted to divorce her husband but she knew that he would not leave her. Sneha and Yogesh then hatched a planned to eliminate Sanjay. As Yogesh knew Constable Prakash Jawade personally, he contacted him and allegedly expressed willingness to give ‘Supari’ of Rs three lakh to a goon for killing Sanjay. Constable Prakash, who is attached to Nagpur (Rural) Police, roped dreaded goon Aakash alias Bittu in to the conspiracy.
The accused quartet then executed their plan by killing Sanjay with a sharp and heavy object on Tuesday night. They then dumped the body in a nullah near a Dhaba on outer Ring Road in Hudkeshwar.Possibility of involvement of some more persons in the murder case cannot be ruled out.
The arrests were made by Assistant Police Inspectors Vijay Naik, Satyawan Kadam, Police Sub-Inspector Shubhangi Mohare and constabulary staff under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IV) Raj Tilak Roushan, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Ajni Division)S L Shinde and Senior Police Inspector (Hudkeshwar) Sandeep Bhosle.
नागपुर : महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर में गर्लफ्रेंड पर कमेंट से नाराज एक शख्स ने दो युवकों को चाकू से गोद दिया, जिसमें वे गंभीर रूप से जख्मी हो गए। बताया जाता है कि आरोपी शख्स ने दोनों युवकों को 14 बार चाकुओं से गोदा। घटना के बाद वह अपनी गर्लफ्रेंड के साथ वहां से फरार हो गया, पर पुलिस ने बाद में उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
घटन रविवार रात करीब 10 बजे की बताई जा रही है, जब दो युवक तिलक नगर में एक चाइनीज स्टॉल पर खा रहे थे। उनकी उम्र 25-26 साल के आसपास बताई जा रही है। इस बीच, आरोपी शख्स भी वहां अपनी गर्लफ्रेंड के साथ पहुंचा। उसकी उम्र भी 24-25 साल के आसपास बताई जा रही है। इस दौरान पहले से वहां खा रहे दो युवकों में से एक ने लड़की को लेकर कुछ कमेंट किया, जिस पर आरोपी युवक नाराज हो गया।
इसके बाद उनके बीच झगड़ा शुरू हो गया और आरोपी युवक ने दोनों पर चाकू से पार कर दिया। इस हमले में दोनों युवकों के हाथ, गाल और पेट में चोट आई है। उनकी हालत गंभीर बताई जा रही है। आरोपी युवक का कहना है कि दोनों ने उसकी गर्लफ्रेंड को लेकर टिप्पणी की थी, जिससे वह नाराज हो गया था।
घटना की सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस ने इस सिलसिले में मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। आरोपी युवक को गिरफ्तार कर मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
Nagpur : A special voters’ registration campaign is going to be held on March 2-3 in order to give a special opportunity to the citizens who did not register their names as voters in the revision voters registration campaign for the upcoming general Lok Sabha elections.
On January 1, 2019, the final list of voters had been published but those citizens whose name did not figure in the final voters list, were given an opportunity on February 23 and 24 and a special campaign was implemented across State. Yet, there are many citizens who have failed to register their names in the voters list. They are now being provided one more special opportunity on coming Saturday and Sunday when a campaign will be implemented state wide during these two days.’
The Booth Level Officer (BLO’s) will be accepting the applications for registration in voters list from the citizens. They will have form number 6, 7, 8 and 8 A. The BLO will also have copies of the final list of voters declared on January 1. For those voters, who are illiterate, the list of voters will be read in the villages. All the district magistrates, district Election Officer, all Residency Welfare Associations (RWA) and Gram Sabha have been instructed to participate in this programme.’
All the political parties have been informed about the programme and they are asked to depute their booth level assistants. The political parties are also being asked to help the election officers for making the electoral list more accurate and complete. According to the directions of Election Commission of India, a toll free number “1950” is also made available for the citizens. They can contact on this number and seek more information about the registration in voters list. Nagpur : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Thursday, launched the first mega-recruitment advertisement on Pavitra Portal to recruit 10,001 teachers in primary, middle, secondary schools. These teachers will be mostly appointed in Private aided-schools through a transparent process. State Education Minister Vinod Tawde, Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Vandana Krishna, Director (Education) Vishal Solanki and others were present.
In this phase, out of 10,001 posts, 1,704 posts will be reserved for SC candidates, 2,147 posts are kept for ST, 525 for ST (PESA), 407 for VJ, 240 for NTB, 240 for NTC, 199 for NTD, 1,712 for OBC, 540 for Economically Weaker Section, 209 are kept for Special Backward Class candidates while 1,154 posts are for Socially and Educationally Backward Class category candidates. For general category candidates only 924 posts are available.
Due to reconciliation of excess teachers already appointed, the number of teaching vacancies came down by over 5,000. In six districts, after roster finalisation, the number of vacant seats has come down for general, SEBC and EBC categories and same will be increased after finalising the roster.
The Education department has allowed aided-school managements to select teachers of their choice, from the short-listed meritorious candidates finalised by Pavitra Portal. A common merit list will be prepared medium-wise, subject-wise and category-wise and institution can advertise their posts independently and invite candidates in 1:10 ratio for final selection. The process is not applicable to self-financed, permanently unaided schools and those having minority status. Initially, the advertisement will be accessible only to school management and education officers and will be published in newspapers on March 2.
Simultaneously, it will be available on Pavitra Portal for aspirants as well. The final selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in aptitude test and personal interview conducted at school-level. The schools not recruiting Shikshan Sevak as per this latest procedure, will not get any salary or non-salary grant.
The State Education department was forced to allow the managements to have their primacy in appointment of teachers of their choice following a decision of Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court dated November 21 which partially modified the appointment process finalised by the Government.

स्मार्ट इंडीया हॅकेथॉन ही 36 तास सलग चालणारी एक सॉफ़्टवेअर प्रॉडक्ट डेवलपमेंट स्पर्धा असून विविध शासकीय विभागांना येणा-या तांत्रिक समस्यांबाबत (प्रॉब्लेम स्टेटमेंट) विद्यार्थी सॉफ़्टवेअरनिर्मितीद्वारे समाधान शोधणार आहेत. 2019 हे स्पर्धेचे दुसरे वर्ष असून देशभरातील 48 नोडल केंद्रांपैकी जी.एच. रायसोनी अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालय हे एक केंद्र आहे. जी.एच. रायसोनी अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयात होणा-या स्पर्धेत 28 चमू व त 168 विद्यार्थी सहभागी होणार असून यात 60 मुलींचा समावेश आहे. देशभरात सुमारे 3 हजार महाविद्यालयात होणा-या स्पर्धेत लाखाभरापेक्षा जास्त विद्यार्थी सहभागी होणार आहेत. रायसोनी महाविद्यालयाला गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड, प्रिसाईज कॅलिबरेशन प्रा.लि., एम.एस.एम.ई. अशा संस्थानी 7 प्रॉब्लेम स्टेटमेंट दिले असून त्यांवर समाधान शोधण्याचे आव्हान विद्यार्थ्यांसमोर असणार आहे.

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro) joined hands with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and State Bank of India (SBI) to bring them onboard for the common mobility program.
The card was launched by Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis, Union Minister for Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari and State Bank of India Chairperson; Arundhati Bhattacharya at a glittering ceremony on September 30, 2017.

नागपूर : चाकूचा धाक दाखवून दोन चिमुकल्या मुलींवर अत्याचार करण्यात आल्याची घटना लकडगंज परिसरात उघडकीस आली. या घटनेने पालकांमध्ये दहशतीचे वातावरण असून, पोलिसांमध्ये खळबळ उडाली आहे.
लकडगंजमधील मिनिमातानगर परिसरातील सहा वर्षे व चार वर्षे वयाच्या दोन चिमुकल्या मुली २६ फेब्रुवारी रोजी सायंकाळी साडेसहा वाजताच्या सुमारास घरापासून थोड्याच अंतरावर असलेल्या मोकळ्या मैदानात खेळायला गेल्या होत्या. खेळता खेळता त्या रस्ता विसरल्या. दोघी भटकत असल्याचे एका युवकाचे लक्षात आले. त्याने दोघींना ‘घरी सोडून देतो’, असे सांगितले. त्याने मुलीला बळजबरीने दुचाकीवर बसवले. दोघींनाही मिनिमाता रेल्वेलाइन जवळच्या हल्दीराम फॅक्टरीच्या पाठीमागील झाडाझुडपात नेले. तेथे चाकूच्या धाकावर दोघींसोबतही लैंगिक अत्याचार केला.
याच भागात हल्दीराम कंपनीचे कामगार काम करीत होते. एका कामगाराला या दोघी दिसल्या. दोन्ही मुलींचे कपडे रक्ताने माखलेले होते. त्यावरून मदतीस आलेल्या कामगारांना प्रकार लक्षात आला. त्यांना या मुलींना घराचा पत्ता विचारून घरी नेऊन दिले व त्यांच्या आईवडिलांच्या ताब्यात दिले.
लकडगंज पोलिसांनी अत्याचाराचा गुन्हा दाखल करून अनोळखी २० ते २५ वर्षीय युवकाचा शोध सुरू केला आहे.

On 18th March, there will be a full-day workshop on discussing agriculture related issues in Maharashtra and forming working groups for them.
Nagpur Beejotsav is a group who are working, since last 6 years to boost conservation of seeds, organic farming and cultivation of toxic free food etc. The projects that are undertaken by Beejotsav include urban solid waste management and production of fertilizers from waste.
नागपूर : आपल्या मनपा शाळांतील विद्यार्थी कोणत्याही बाबतीत कमी नाहीत. त्यांच्यात प्रतिभा आहे मात्र आत्मविश्वासाच्या अभावाने विद्यार्थी मागे पडतात. विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सर्वांगीण विकासाचे उद्दिष्ट पूर्ण करीत असताना विद्यार्थी आत्मविश्वासाने पुढे यावेत यासाठीही प्रयत्न करण्याची गरज आहे. आज महानगरपालिकेच्या शाळांबाबत नागरिकांची असलेली समजूत बदलविण्यासाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेकडून विविध उपक्रम राबविण्यात येत आहेत व यामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांचा प्रत्यक्ष सहभागही घेण्यात येत आहे. मनपा शाळांमधील विद्यार्थ्यांच्या अध्ययन स्तर निश्चितीकरिता ‘असर’च्या सहकार्याने होणारे सर्वेक्षण हा सर्वांसाठी सकारात्मक बदल असणार आहे. त्यामुळे येणारे २०१९-२० शैक्षणिक सत्र हे मनपा शाळांसाठी प्रेरणादायी सुरूवात ठरणार आहे, असा विश्वास अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी यांनी व्यक्त केला.
मनपा शाळांतील इयत्ता दुसरी ते आठवीच्या शंभर टक्के विद्यार्थ्यांची अध्ययन स्तर निश्चितीकरीता ‘असर’च्या सहकार्याने सर्वेक्षण करण्यात येणार आहे. या सर्वेक्षणासंदर्भात बुधवारी (ता.२७) महाल येथील राजे रघुजी भोसले नगर भवन येथे मनपा शाळातील शिक्षकांची कार्यशाळा आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. या कार्यशाळेच्या उद्घाटनप्रसंगी ते बोलत होते.
यावेळी उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, डीआयसीपीटीचे प्राचार्य रवींद्र रमतकर, जिल्हा परिषद नागपूरचे कार्यक्रम अधिकारी प्रमोद वानखेडे, मनपा कार्यक्रम अधिकारी धनलाल चौलीवार, माध्यमिक सहायक शिक्षणाधिकारी कुसूम चाफलेकर, सहायक शिक्षणाधिकारी प्रिती बंडेवार उपस्थित होते.
पुढे बोलताना अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी म्हणाले, जिल्ह्यात विद्यार्थ्यांना दर्जेदार शिक्षण देण्यासाठी ‘असर’च्या सहकार्याने घेण्यात आलेला पुढाकार स्त्युत्य आहे. मनपाच्या शाळांमधील विद्यार्थ्यांच्या गुणात्मक व सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी विविध उपक्रम राबविण्यात येतात. मनपाकडून विद्यार्थ्यांना विविध योजनांचा लाभ मिळवून दिला जातो. मात्र या उपक्रमांची माहिती पालकांपर्यंत पोहोचत नाही. हे उपक्रम, या योजना पालकांसह विद्यार्थ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचविण्यासाठी योग्य संवाद घडण्याची आवश्यकता आहे. यासाठी आपल्या मनपा शाळांतील विद्यार्थ्यांमार्फतही अनेक विद्यार्थ्यांना शिक्षणाच्या प्रवाहात आणता येऊ शकेल, असेही अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी म्हणाले.
उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते म्हणाले, गेल्या काही वर्षांपासून शैक्षणिक क्षेत्रात क्रांती घडवून आणण्यासाठी शासनस्तरावर अनेक प्रयत्न केले जात आहेत. मुले व मुलींचे गळतीचे प्रमाण कमी करणे, विद्यार्थ्यांच्या मुलभूत क्षमता विकसीत करणे, अत्याधुनिक तंत्रज्ञान, साहित्यांचा वापर करून आनंददायी शिक्षण पद्धती विकसीत करण्याबाबत अंमलबजावणी सुरू आहे. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या शाळा राज्यात अग्रस्थानावर याव्यात यासाठी प्रशासनाच्या स्तरावर आवश्यक ते प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत. लवकरच याचा सकारात्मक प्रतिसाद आपल्याला दिसणार आहे. ‘असर’च्या सहकार्याने सुरू करण्यात आलेले सर्वेक्षण वेळोवेळी मार्गदर्शक ठरेल व विद्यार्थ्यांच्या प्रगतीमध्ये त्याचे मोठे सहकार्य लाभेल, असा विश्वास उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते यांनी व्यक्त केला.
डीआयसीपीटीचे प्राचार्य रवींद्र रमतकर यांनी कार्यशाळेची संकल्पना स्पष्ट केली. मनपा शाळांमधील इयत्ता दुसरी ते आठवीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांच्या अध्ययन स्तर निश्चीतीकरणासाठी ‘असर’ने पुढाकार घेतला असून यामध्ये मनपाच्या शिक्षकांची भूमिका महत्त्वाची ठरणार आहे. मनपा शाळांमधील शिक्षकांकडूनच हे सर्वेक्षण करण्यात येणार आहे. यासाठी मनपाच्या शिक्षकांना मनपाच्या मराठी, हिंदी, उर्दू, इंग्रजी माध्यमाच्या वेगवेगळ्या शाळांमध्ये ‘असर’चे टूल वापरून विद्यार्थ्यांच्या स्तर निश्चितीकरणासाठी सर्वेक्षण करावे लागणार आहे. ‘असर’चे टूल वापरून स्तर निश्चितीकरण करणारा नागपूर जिल्हा राज्यात पहिला ठरणार आहे. सर्वेक्षणाद्वारे गोळा केलेली माहिती सर्व शिक्षक मार्चअखेरीस विभागीय आयुक्त व मनपा आयुक्तांपुढे सादर करतील. या माहितीचे मूल्यमापन करून त्याचा फायदा विद्यार्थ्यांच्या शैक्षणिक भवितव्यासाठी होणार आहे, असेही डीआयसीपीटीचे प्राचार्य रवींद्र रमतकर यांनी सांगितले.
विद्यार्थ्यांच्या अध्ययन स्तर निश्चितीकरीता मनपा शाळांमधील इयत्ता दुसरीच्या १४०३, तिसरीच्या १५६८, चौथीच्या १६०४, पाचवीच्या १७०३, सहावीच्या १८३६, सातवीच्या १९४२ व आठवीच्या २१७६ विद्यार्थ्यांचे सर्वेक्षण करण्यात येणार आहे.

नागपूर : माझे शहर कसे असावे, ही संकल्पना विद्यार्थ्यांच्या मनात रुजायला हवी. यासाठी सुरू असलेल्या प्रयत्नात ‘महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्ड’ उपक्रमाचे योगदान नक्कीच मोठे आहे. सत्तेचा वापर समाजामध्ये सकारात्मक बदल घडविण्यासाठी व्हायला हवे. ‘महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्ड’ त्याचे उत्तम उदाहरण आहे. ही प्रक्रिया समारंभापुरती मर्यादित राहणार नाही तर यामाध्यमातून आलेल्या प्रकल्पाची अंमलबजावणी प्रत्यक्ष कशी करता येईल, यावर पुढील कार्य सुरू राहील, असा विश्वास महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी व्यक्त केला.
‘महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्ड’ अंतर्गत १ फेब्रुवारी रोजी पार पडलेल्या ‘हॅकथॉन’च्या माध्यमातून नागपूर शहरासाठी सुमारे ७५० इनोव्हेटिव्ह आयडियाज् स्पर्धकांनी सादर केल्यात. यापैकी १०० उत्कृष्ट आयडियाज् निवडण्यात मोलाचे योगदान देणाऱ्या परिक्षकांशी संवाद आणि सत्कार कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन मनपा मुख्यालयातील डॉ. पंजाबराव देशमुख स्मृती सभागृहात करण्यात आले होते. यावेळी त्या बोलत होत्या.
यावेळी ज्येष्ठ नगरसेवक सुनील अग्रवाल, निगम सचिव हरिश दुबे, मेयर इनोव्हेशन कौन्सिलचे डॉ. प्रशांत कडू, केतन मोहितकर यावेळी उपस्थित होते. महापौर नंदा जिचकार पुढे म्हणाल्या, मनपा सेवा देणारी संस्था आहे. या स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थेच्या माध्यमातून देण्यात येणाऱ्या सेवा अधिक चांगल्या प्रकारे कशा देता येतील, त्यात नवीन काही करता येईल का, हे लोकसहभागातून कळण्यासाठी ‘महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्ड’ची संकल्पना मांडण्यात आली. या संकल्पनेला विद्यार्थ्यांनी आणि नागरिकांनी उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद दिला. मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आलेल्या आयडियाज्चे परिक्षण करणाऱ्या परिक्षकांनीही यात नोंदविलेला सहभाग वाखाणण्याजोगा होता. या संपूर्ण प्रकल्पात परिक्षकांनी यापुढेही जुळून राहावे, असे आवाहन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी यावेळी केले.
मेयर इनोव्हेशन कौन्सिलचे डॉ. प्रशांत कडू यांनी यावेळी हॅकॉथॉन, ३ मार्च रोजी आयोजित ‘मेयर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्ड’ समारंभ, परिक्षकांसोबत महापौरांचा संवाद याबाबतची भूमिका मांडली. हॅकॉथॉननंतर घेण्यात आलेले कार्यक्रम आणि पुढे होणाऱ्या कार्यक्रमांची माहितीही त्यांनी यावेळी दिली. अवॉर्डसाठी निवडण्यात आलेल्या १०० प्रकल्पांचे सादरीकरणही केले. यावेळी परिक्षकांनीही त्यांचे अनुभव यावेळी कथन केले. नागपूरमध्ये विद्वत्तेला कमी नाही. त्यासाठी व्यासपीठ मिळणे गरजेचे होते. महापौर इनोव्हेशन अवॉर्डच्या निमित्ताने विद्यार्थ्यांच्या कल्पनांना व्यासपीठ मिळाले. यामाध्यमातून शहरात होणाऱ्या बदलाचे आम्हीही भागीदार आहोत, याचा आम्हाला आनंद असल्याची भावना व्यक्त करतानाच स्पर्धकांनी मांडलेल्या कल्पनांची अंमलबजावणी व्हायला हवी, अशी आशाही व्यक्त केली.
३ मार्च रोजी अवॉर्ड समारंभ; महापौरांनी घेतला तयारीचा आढावा

नागपूर : एमडी (मेफेड्रान) या मादक द्रव्याचा व्यापार करणाऱ्या दोन आरोपींंना पकडून, 47 हजार रुपये किमतीचे एमडी पावडर आणि 4 लाख 44 हजार रुपयांचा मुद्देमाल जप्त करण्यात आला. ही कारवाई पांचपावली पोलिसांनी केली आहे.
मोहित राजकुमार शाहु (24) आमीर मलिक मुकीम मलीन (28) अशी अटक आरोपींची नावे आहेत.
दयानंद पार्क जवळ कुणीतरी मादक पदार्थ घेऊन येत आहे, अशी गुप्त माहिती पाचपावली पोलिसांना मिळाली. पहाटे ३.३० च्या सुमारास आरोपी मोहित साहू अॅक्टिव्हाने दयानंद पार्कजवळून जाताना दिसला. यावरून त्यांनी सुमारास सापळा रचून वरील आरोपींंना पकडले. झडतीत मोहित याचे ताब्यातून 47 हजार रुपये किमतीची एमडी पावडर, रोख 35 हजार रुपये, दोन आय फोन, आमीर मलिक याचे ताब्यातून 9 हजार रुपये रोख, मोबाईल, युपी पासिंगची मोटरसायकल असा एकूण 4 लाख 44 हजार रुपये किमतीचा मुद्देमाल जप्त करण्यात आला. याप्रकरणी पाचपावली येथे आरोपी विरुद्ध गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे.

Nagpur : The staff of Railway Protection Force (RPF), on Wednesday morning recovered marijuana (ganja) approximately worth Rs 2 lakh at Nagpur station.
According to Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF, Nagpur Division Central Railway; Jyoti Kumar Satija, the RPF men while on routine patrol on the station, noticed two suspicious bags in the general coach of New Delhi bound Dakshin Express at around 9.15 am. On enquiry, nobody claimed the bags and hence the RPF personnel took them into their possession and brought at the RPF police station. On further checking, 12 packets of marijuana were recovered from the bags with each packet approximately weighing two kilograms. The estimated cost of the seized contraband is stated to be around Rs 2 lakh.
“We have registered an offence and have handed over the seized material to GRPF for further investigations,” said Satija. He has appealed to the people to contact RPF personnel directly or dial 182 if they notice any person with suspicious movement or have any information of illegal activity in trains or at the station. The RPF drive to keep a check on illegal activities would continue in future too, Satija informed.

राणी ही अकराव्या वर्गाची विद्यार्थिनी होती. तिची वर्गात शिकणाऱ्या मुलासोबत मैत्री होती. तो वस्तीतच राहत असल्याने त्यांच्या गाठीभेटी होत होत्या. राणीचे आई-वडील मजुरी करतात. राणीने त्यांना हट्ट करून स्क्रीन टच मोबाईल घेऊन मागितला होता. दुसरीकडे मुलानेही भावाकडे हट्ट करून मोबाईल घेऊन मागितला. दिवसेंदिवस दोघांचे अल्पवयीन प्रेम फुलत होते. दोघांच्या व्हॉट्सॲपवरील चॅटिंग वाढली. रात्री सर्व जण झोपल्यावर दोघांचे मेसेज आणि फोनवर बोलणे व्हायचे. अशातच मुलाच्या भावाला त्याच्या वागण्यावर संशय आला. त्याने हटकले असता भलतेच कारण सांगून वेळ मारून नेली.
मंगळवारी सकाळी मुलगा आंघोळीला गेला असताना मोठ्या भावाने मोबाईल चेक केला. त्यामध्ये वस्तीत राहणाऱ्या राणीचा नंबर दिसला. त्याने चॅटिंग बघितली असता प्रेमप्रकरण उघडकीस आले.
वयाच्या १६ व्या वर्षी प्रेमात पडलेल्या भावाची कशीबशी त्याने समजूत घातली. त्यानंतर राणीचीही समजूत घालण्यासाठी तो तिच्या घरी गेला. तिच्या आई-वडिलाला चॅटिंगबाबत सांगितले. वडिलाने रागाच्या भरात मुलीला दोन कानशिलात लगावल्या. त्यामुळे ती रडत-रडत घरात गेली. दुपारी साडेतीन वाजता घरात कुणीही नसताना तिने ओढणीने गळफास घेतला. दुपारी साडेतीन वाजता आई घरी आल्यानंतर हा प्रकार उघडकीस आला. कळमना पोलिसांनी आकस्मिक मृत्यूची नोंद केली आहे.
Nagpur : Social Security Branch (SSB) of City Police busted sex racket in New Manish Nagar and rescued four girls, besides arresting three persons including a woman. Arrested accused were identified as Krishna Tarachand Motwani (24), a resident of Sindhi Colony, Chikhali, District – Buldhana; Rupa alias Khushi Sunil Piwal (30), a resident of Khamla, Shiv Nagar and Ritesh alias Raj Bhavsingh Jadhav (25), a resident of Hiwra Tandi, Tehsil – Arwi, District- Wardha.
Umesh Besarkar, Police Inspector, SSB informed that they had been receiving information that flesh trade was going on in the apartment. The accused had taken two flats in the apartment on rent where the prostitution racket was operating for last four months. The police kept watch on the apartment to confirm the information.
Acting on a tip-off, the cops sent a dummy customer on Sunday evening. He fixed the deal and signaled the police when the accused Krishna accepted money. The police immediately raided the flat in Mauli Apartment, Guruchhaya Society, New Manish Nagar. The raiding party rescued four girls from the spot and sent them to rescue home. Two girls are residents of West Bengal while two others are native of Delhi and Mumbai. The accused were charging Rs 3,000 to each customer while the girl was getting Rs 10,000 per day.
An offence was registered against the accused under Sections 370 and 34 of Indian Penal Code read with Sub-section 3, 4 and 5 of PITA at Beltarodi Police Station. Under the guidance of Sambhaji Kadam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Detection, the arrest was made by PI Vikram Goud, PI Besarkar, WPSI Smita Sonawane and staff including Damodar Rajurkar, Shitalaprasad Mishra, Yogesh Ghodki, Pralhad Dole, Suresh Sandekar, Chhaya Raut, Sadhna Chavan, Archana Raut, Dipika Donode, Anil Dubey and others.
Indian Air Force has shot down Pakistani F-16 fighter jet after it violated the Indian air space in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. IAF also pushed back Pakistan aircraft, multiple reports confirm.

Budgam : Two Indian Air Force pilots died on Wednesday as a MiG-21 jet crashed in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The jet crashed in an open field near Garend Kalaan village in Budgam at 10.05 am, the officials said. It broke into two and caught fire immediately, the officials said, adding that two bodies were seen near the site of crash. The identity of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately.
The crash happened a day after IAF warplanes struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, around 80 kilometres from the Line of Control. Meanwhile, Pakistani jets violated the Indian airspace as it entered border areas of Nowshera sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

सदस्य बाहेर आले आणि चक्क ‘झिंग झिंग झिंगाट.., प्यार लो प्यार दो’ अशा गाण्यांवर नृत्य करायला लागले. एकीकडे भारतीय सैनिकांनी प्राणाची बाजू लावून दहशतवादी तळाचा नाटनाट केला असताना महापालिकेतील सदस्यांना त्याचे गांभीर्य कसे कळले नाही, जवानांच्या शौर्याला सलाम करायचे सोडून, अशा फिल्मी गाण्यांवर नृत्य गरजेचेच होते काय, असा सवाल आता विचारला जात आहे.
महापालिकेची मंगळवारी सर्वसाधारण सभा आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. या सभेत अनेक महत्त्वाच्या विषयांवर चर्चा होणार होती. उन्हाळ्यामध्ये शहरात पाण्याची टंचाई निर्माण होण्याची शक्यता असताना या विषयावर चर्चा होणे गरजेचेही होते. त्यावर अनेक सदस्यांना मते मांडायची होती. मात्र, प्रश्नोत्तराच्या तासात केवळ ६ सदस्यांच्या प्रश्नांवर चर्चा झाली आणि दीड तासात सभा आटोपती घेत जल्लोष करण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला.
सभा आटोपल्यावर सर्वपक्षीय नगरसेवक सभागृहाच्या बाहेर आले आणि ढोल ताशा आणि झिंग झिंग झिंगाट, प्यार दो प्यार दो या गाण्यावर त्यांनी ठेका धरला. महापौर नंदा जिचकार, स्थायी समिती अध्यक्ष वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा यांच्यासह उपमहापौर दीपराज पार्डीकर, बाल्या बोरकर, चेतना टांक, प्रगती पाटील, वंदना एंगटवार, वंदना भगत यांच्यासह बसपा आणि काँग्रेसच्या नगरसेविकाही या नृत्यात सहभागी झाल्या होत्या. विरोधी पक्ष नेते तानाजी वनवे यांनाही मोह आवरला नाही. इकडे चित्रपटाच्या गाण्यावर ठेका धरला जात असताना बँड पथक मात्र देशभक्तीपर गाणे वाजवत होते. भारतीय जवानांनी गाजवलेल्या शौर्याचा जल्लोष व्हायलाच हवा, परंतु त्यासाठी गाणे कुठले निवडावे, याचेही भान महापालिका सदस्यांनी ठेवायला हवे होते, अशी प्रतिक्रिया हे नृत्य पाहणाऱ्या नागरिकांनी व्यक्त केली.
दरम्यान, धंतोलीमधील भाजप कार्यालयासमोर आणि बडकस चौकात भाजपच्या सदस्यांनी फटाक्यांची आतषबाजी केली. पाकिस्तानविरोधात घोषणा देत लोकांना पेढे वाटले.
नागपूर : तीन वर्षे प्रेमसंबंध ठेवल्यानंतर प्रेयसीने अचानक लग्नास नकार दिल्याचे दुःख न पचवू शकलेल्या प्रियकराने रागाच्या भरात रस्त्यात जे दिसले त्यांच्यावर चाकूने प्राणघातक हल्ला केला. यामध्ये पाचजण गंभीर जखमी झाले. ही घटना सोमवारी रात्री दहा वाजताच्या सुमारास पाचपावलीत उघडकीस आली. रितिक ऊर्फ सोमेश विलास पराते (वय १९, रा. पाचपावली) असे आरोपीचे नाव असून त्याला पोलिसांनी अटक केली.
सोमेश हा बेरोजगार असून तो दारुडा आहे. तो दोन वर्षांपूर्वी गणेशपेठमधील प्रेरणा कॉलेजमध्ये शिकत असताना त्याच्याच वर्गात अश्विनी (बदललेले नाव) हिच्याशी ओळख झाली होती. दोघांचे मैत्रीनंतर प्रेम प्रकरण फुलले. दोघांच्या भेटीगाठी वाढल्या. दोघांचे प्रेमसंबंध दोन वर्षांपर्यंत सुरू होते.
बारावी झाल्यानंतर दोघांनीही वेगवेगळ्या कॉलेजमध्ये ॲडमिशन घेतले. तर अश्विनीची आर्थिक स्थिती योग्य नसल्यामुळे तिने एका कूलर कंपनीत नोकरी स्वीकारली. तर सोमेश हा बेरोजगार म्हणून फिरत आहे. त्याला दारूचे व्यसन जडले. त्यातच त्याने अश्विनीला लग्नाची गळ घातली. त्यामुळे अवघ्या १९ व्या वयात बेरोजगार असलेला सोमेशला भविष्याचा विचार करून तिने नकार दिला. गेल्या काही महिन्यांपासून ती त्याला टाळत होती.
परंतु, सोमेश तिचा पाठलाग करून तिला लग्नासाठी तगादा लावत होता. सोमवारी रात्री नऊ वाजता त्याने अश्विनीला लग्नाबाबत विचारले असता तिने पुन्हा नकार दिला. प्रेमास नकार पचवता न आल्याने त्याने चिडून खिशातील चाकू काढून रस्त्याने दिसेल त्याच्यावर हल्ला केला. यामध्ये राजू गोविंदराव नंदनवार (तांडापेठ, जुनी वस्ती), जितेंद्र गुलाबराव मोहाडीकर (४२), रमेश श्रावण निखारे (५०), प्रतीश सुरेंद्र खापरे (वय १५) आणि मोहम्मद शेख अन्सारी मोहम्मद खाजम मरहूम (वय ३५) यांच्यावर चाकूहल्ला केला. सर्व जखमींवर रुग्णालयात उपचार सुरू आहेत. पाचपावली पोलिसांनी तक्रारीवरून गुन्हा दाखल करून अटक केली.
Nagpur : The use of 5 dimensional building information module (BIM) has saved time and cost of Nagpur Metro Project to a great extent, Maha Metro MD Dr Brijesh Dixit said here on Tuesday. In fact, use of the technology has also been advantageous for Pune Metro, which is also being implemented by MahaMetro, he added.
Dr Dixit was addressing a high-power delegation of Tata Group, comprising various units like Tata Sons and Tata Realty & Infrastructure Limited (TRIL) at the Conference Hall of Metro Bhavan, in the city.
Tata Group delegation was briefed about implementation of 5D BIM and digital platform in project execution and also the initiative taken by MahaMetro in this regard. The delegation was also taken to Metro’s War Room where the team saw live demonstration of 5D BIM. The team also visited Metro stations of Airport South, New Airport Station and Khapri to get the first hand experience of automatic fare collection (AFC) system.
The Tata Group officials discussed various other initiatives taken by MahaMetro during execution of Nagpur and Pune Metro project.
Interestingly, TRIL is actively co-ordinating with MahaMetro for construction of one of the lines of Pune Metro project. Maha Metro was represented by Sunil Mathur, Director (Rolling Stock & Systems), S Sivamathan, Director (Finance), Vinod Agrawal, ED (T&O), Anil Kokate, Geneal Manager (Admin), Ms Neelam Chandra, GM (IT & Electrical) and other senior officials.
