NEW DELHI : Temperature is rising across India as summers set in. Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have already crossed the 40-degree Celsius mark. With heat wave intensifying in several parts the country, private weather forecaster Skymet has released a list of 10 hottest cities in India today. Among them, Nagpur in Maharashtra tops the list with a maximum temperature of 44.1 degree Celsius.
After Nagpur, Banda in Uttar Pradesh is the second hottest city with 43.8 degree Celsius temperature.
It is followed by Khargone in Madhya Pradesh (43.5 Degree Celsius), Adilabad in Telangana (43.3 degree Celsius); and Wardha (43.2 degree Celsius) and Akola (43.1 degree Celsius) in Maharashtra.
The temperature in the following four cities settled at 43 degree Celsius. They are – Brahmapuri in Maharashtra, Gulbarge in Karnataka, Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh and Phalodi in Rajasthan.
In Delhi, the maximum temperature hovered around 38 degree Celsius with weather department predicting a “possibility of thundery development”.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature recorded in Delhi was 20.4 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature settled at 37.1 degrees Celsius. Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Rajasthan with Barmer recording the highest temperature in the state at 42.8 degrees Celsius. Jaisalmer sizzled at 42.7 degrees Celsius followed by Kota at 42 degrees Celsius, the Meterological department official said.
Among other places, the temperature was recorded at 41.7 degrees Celsius in Churu, 41.6 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, 41.5 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 40.6 degrees Celsius in Ajmer, 40 degrees Celsius in Dabok, 39.9 degrees Celsius in Jaipur and 39.4 degrees Celsius in Sri Ganganagar.
नागपुर : नागपुर महानगरपालिका, ग्रीन विजिल फाउंडेशन और अर्थ डे-नेटवर्क इंडिया के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में मनपा के लाल बहादुर शास्त्री हिंदी माध्यमिक शाला में पर्यावरण संरक्षण पर कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया था।
कार्यशाला अर्थ-डे नेटवर्क इस साल की थीम ‘प्रोटेक्ट अवर स्पेसिस’ पर आधारित है। इस अनुसार ग्लोबल वॉर्मिंग, जलवायु परिवर्तन, नैसर्गिक संपदा का संरक्षण, प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण पर प्रतिबंध, वायु प्रदूषण, जल प्रदूषण, पेड़ों की कम होती संख्या आदि पर्यावरण संरक्षण से संबंधित विविध पहलुओं पर ग्रीन विजिल के स्वयंसेवकों ने प्रकाश डाला। इस विषय पर चर्चा, वाद-विवाद स्पर्धा और पथनाट्य का आयोजन किया गया था। इसमें विद्यार्थियों ने उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद दिया।
अवसर पर लाल बहादुर शास्त्री हिंदी माध्यमिक शाला के संजय पुंड, विलास बालमवार, ग्रीन विजिल पर्यावरण संस्था के संस्थापक कौस्तभ चटर्जी, सुरभि जैस्वाल, मेहुल कोसुरकर, कल्याणी वैद्य, विकास यादव उपस्थित थे। प्रास्ताविक मधुलिका तिवारी और आभार प्रदर्शन संध्या डांगे ने किया।
नागपूर : आधुनिक वैद्यक शास्त्राच्या तुलनेत औषधांच्या दुष्परिणामांचा धोका नसलेली पर्यायी उपचारपद्धती म्हणून जगभर होमिओपॅथीचा विकास झाला. ही प्रभावी आणि अहिंसात्मक उपचारपद्धती आहे, असे महात्मा गांधीदेखील म्हणायचे. छत्रपती शाहू महाराजांनी तर या उपचारपद्धतीला राजाश्रयही दिला. परंतु, विद्यमान सरकारच्या काळात या उपचार पद्धतीला अवकळा आली आहे. त्यामुळे या पॅथीत तंत्रशुद्ध प्रशिक्षण घेऊन सेवा देणाऱ्यांची सरकारकडून दखलच घेतली जात नसल्याने राज्यातील ५० हजार नोंदणीकृत होमिओपॅथ्सना वनवास भोगण्याची वेळ आली आहे.
हॅनिमन यांनी १७व्या शतकात ही पॅथी शोधून काढली. अतिशय स्वस्त आणि प्रभावी उपचारपद्धती म्हणून आजही तिला मान्यता आहे. मात्र, महाराष्ट्र वगळता इतर राज्यांत नोंदणीसाठी स्वतंत्र संचालनालय आहे. बिहारसारख्या मागासलेल्या राज्यात स्वतंत्र संचालनालय आहे. त्या संचालनालयाला प्रत्येक वर्षी सरकारकडून दहा लाख रुपये अनुदानही मिळते. नागपूर जिल्ह्यात सुमारे १२ हजार डॉक्टरांना शासकीय संरक्षण तर दूरच राहिले त्यांना वैद्यक म्हणून मान्यता देण्यासही सरकार तयार नाही. राज्यात दरवर्षी दोनशे विद्यार्थी परीक्षा देऊन होमिओपॅथ म्हणून बाहेर पडतात. दहा लाख लोकसंख्येमागे एक महाविद्यालय, तर दोन हजार लोकसंख्येच्या मागे एक डॉक्टर असावा, असा जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेचा नियम आहे. परंतु, राज्यात होमिओपॅथीला दूर सारून सरकार या वैद्यकांना ग्रामीण भागात सेवेत सामावून घ्यायलाही तयार नाही. त्यामुळे आधुनिक वैद्यक शास्त्राचे डॉक्टर खेड्यात जायला तयार नाहीत आणि जे सेवा द्यायला तयार आहेत, त्यांना सरकार संधी देत नाही, अशी अवस्था आहे.
डॉ. गाडेकर समितीचे काय?
सुप्रसिद्ध साहित्यिक भाऊ दप्तरी यांनी नागपुरात या पद्धतीला लोकप्रिय केले. त्यानंतर भाऊसाहेब झिटे, विलास डांगरे यांच्यानंतर डॉ. मनीष पाटील, डॉ. कोरी असे होमिओपॅथ्स झटत आहेत. या उपचारपद्धतीला राजाश्रय मिळावा, याचा अभ्यास करण्यासाठी तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री शरद पवार यांच्या काळात १९७५मध्ये डॉ. गाडेकर समिती नेमण्यात आली. पुढे सत्तांतर झाले. समितीने अहवालातून दिलेल्या सूचनांकडे सत्तांतर झालेल्या सरकारने कानाडोळा केला. हाच पाढा आजवरच्या सरकारांनी पुढे चालू ठेवला. त्यामुळे एकाही महाविद्यालयाला आज सरकारी अनुदान मिळत नाही. शिक्षकांना वेतन आयोगानुसार पगार मिळत नाही. तसेच, आंतरवासिता विद्यार्थ्यांना विद्यावेतन मिळत नाही, ही या उपचारपद्धतीची शोकांतिका आहे. शासनाच्या या आजारी मनोवृत्तीवरच आज उपचार करण्याची वेळ आली, असल्याचे असल्याचे महाराष्ट्र कौन्सिल होमिओपॅथी बोर्डाचे सदस्य डॉ. मनीष पाटील यांनी उद्विग्नतेने नमूद केले.
Nagpur : As Cersei Lannister famously said, “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.”
That’s not exactly true, hopefully. Otherwise, Season 8 will just be a string of deaths (which, come to think of it, wouldn’t be that far off from any other season). But it’s likely someone will sit on the Iron Throne when the final credits roll. The only question is who?
Many names have been tossed around, including unlikely contenders such as Gendry (technically the sole living heir to King Robert Baratheon). But some theories are more sound than others.
This piece is predicated on the hopeful notion that the White Walkers and their Night King don’t destroy all of Westeros and kill/convert everyone living there (which would actually be a fitting end to this story). In theory, the Night King could end up on the Iron Throne, but I can’t imagine he’d have much use for it. That throne was created by the world’s human residents and, thus, is symbolic only to them. If the systems upholding it all disappear overnight, then it just becomes an uncomfortable chair.
Here are the top contenders for the throne.
As always, this post contains a multitude of spoilers. Otherwise, it would be very short.
Jon Snow
Were this just about any other television show in history, Jon Snow would end up ruling Westeros. He’s nearly unwaveringly virtuous, likes to stare off into the distance thinking of Important Things and would look pretty good with a crown.
He also began as an underdog (being falsely presented as Ned Stark’s bastard child), who overcame his (supposed) past to run the Night’s Watch and eventually the North. Now it’s slowly coming out that he was the child of secretly married couple Rhaegar Targaryen (son of the Mad King and brother to Daenerys) and Lyanna Stark (Ned’s sister), who are both dead. There’s an incredibly strong argument that this makes the Iron Throne his birthright.
Jon Snow becoming the king would be the logical conclusion of the hero’s journey, but Game Of Thrones is all about subverting narrative norms. With that in mind, the best argument for why Jon Snow could sit in the Iron Throne is the fact that he actively doesn’t want to.
Daenerys Targaryen
Meanwhile, the sharpest argument against Daenerys ending up on the throne is how badly she wants it. Ever since the end of Season 1, she’s had one primary goal: reclaiming the Iron Throne.
That small point aside, though, she would be a sensible queen.
For those who don’t remember, she’s the daughter of Aerys II Targaryen, a.k.a. the Mad King. Aerys was assassinated by Jaime Lannister and succeeded by Robert Baratheon, which ended a 300-ish-year rule by the Targaryens, so many believe the Targaryens still have a rightful claim to the throne. Because Daenerys (like most people) doesn’t know Jon Snow’s true heritage, she seems like the only Targaryen left to claim said throne. (Obviously, things are a little more complicated in reality, something only compounded by the fact that Jon and Daenerys have entered into a romantic relationship).
Also, she has dragons. These creatures are how the Targaryens conquered the Seven Kingdoms in the first place, so there’s certainly some precedent for reconquering it with them.
Bran Stark
Oddsmakers currently have Bran as the betting favorite to sit on the Iron Throne, which might raise the question, “Wait, what?”
The chance of this unlikely scenario playing out – the brainchild of some truly devoted fans – seems unlikely. But oddsmakers tend to be pretty careful, so let’s take a look.
Bran has no particular claim to the throne, and he has two living siblings who might take umbrage with the young man ruling Westeros instead of his extremely qualified sisters. But the fan theory is far more complicated than him coming in and taking over.
Essentially, some believe that Bran and the Night King either are or will become the same person. The argument goes that Bran keeps traveling back in time, trying to stop the Night King (i.e., the first White Walker) from ever being created. Instead, he accidentally becomes him. And, in this theory, he ends up taking over Westeros.
Another smaller theory is that Bran and the Night King end up being opposites, good and evil, and they end up as the final contenders in the final battle. This doesn’t make a ton of sense – it seems almost assured that Jon Snow will battle the Night King – but again, “Game of Thrones” is all about upending expectations.
Sansa Stark
When it comes to the Starks, Sansa seems most likely to sit on the Iron Throne. Her hellish journey has taken her from wanting to be a princess to learning the cold truths of a ruthless world. Though she doesn’t agree with Cersei’s morality, she did learn a great deal from the current Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, enough to eventually outsmart Littlefinger.
When she returned to Winterfell, she showed a desire to lead, clashing several times with Jon Snow.
Plus, Sansa might be the strongest character on the show. It’s not like anyone’s had it easy, per se, but Sansa arguably faced the most hardship, save for maybe Theon. But Sansa somehow only grew more confident, more intelligent and more empathetic. That’s the kind of ruler this land could use.
Cersei Lannister
No. She might have it now, at least in title, but soon she’ll be too drunk to even sit on the darn thing.

नागपुर : लोकसभा निवडणुकीच्या पहिल्या टप्प्यातील प्रचार आज, मंगळवारी संपणार आहे. विदर्भातील सात जागांवरील उमेदवारांना मतदारांशी उघडपणे ‘कनेक्ट’ होण्याची शेवटची संधी आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील या सात जागांसोबतच देशातील २० राज्ये तसेच केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांमधील ९१ मतदारसंघांमध्ये गुरुवारी, ११ एप्रिलला मतदान होत आहे. या उरलेल्या दोन दिवसांत उमेदवार आणि कार्यकर्ते छुप्या प्रचारतंत्रावर भर देतील. सोशल मीडियावरील प्रचारासाठीही मतदानपूर्वीच्या ४८ तासांची मर्यादा घालून दिली असल्याने या प्रचाराला आवर घालण्याचे आव्हान निवडणूक आयोगापुढे आहे.
गेले दोन आठवडे विदर्भातील विदर्भातील नागपूर, रामटेक, वर्धा, भंडारा-गोंदिया, गडचिरोली-चिमूर, चंद्रपूर आणि यवतमाळ-वाशीम या सात लोकसभा मतदारसंघांतील वातावरण तापलेले आहे. ‘लाज’ आणि ‘माज’ अशा शब्दप्रयोगातून महाआघाडी आणि युतीने एकमेकांवर कुरघोडी करण्याचे प्रयत्न चालविले आहेत. रॅली, पदयात्रा, सभा, घरोघरी संपर्क, मेळावे, कार्यकर्त्यांच्या बैठका, नेत्यांची मंथने अशा पद्धतीचा प्रचार गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून मतदार अनुभवत आहेत. हा जाहीर प्रचार आज, अखेरच्या दिवशी टिपेला नेण्याचा सर्वच पक्षांचा प्रयत्न राहणार आहे. युती आणि महाआघाडीसोबतच वंचित बहुजन आघाडी, बसपा-सपा आघाडी आणि बंडखोरांचे मतदारांना आकर्षित करण्याचे प्रयत्न टिपेला पोहोचले आहेत. या दिवसांत या मतदारसंघांनी पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी, शिवसेनेचे कार्याध्यक्ष उद्धव ठाकरे, काँग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी, राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे अध्यक्ष शरद पवार यांच्या सभा अनुभवल्या. ‘मै भी चौकीदार’ आणि ‘चौकीदार चोर है’चा सामना बघितला. आज, नागपुरात भाजप अध्यक्ष अमित शहा यांची नागपुरात तर केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह यांची चंद्रपुरात सभा होणार आहे. पहिल्या टप्प्यातील ९१ जागांमध्ये सर्वाधिक २५ जागांसाठीचे मतदान आंध्र प्रदेशात तर १७ जागांसाठीचे मतदान तेलगंणमध्ये होत आहे. उत्तर प्रदेशातील महत्त्वाच्या आठ जागांचाही यात समावेश आहे.
सुरक्षा दलांसमोर बस्तरचे आव्हान
रायपूर : माओवाद्यांचा प्रभाव असलेल्या बस्तरमध्ये पहिल्याच टप्प्यात मतदान होत आहे. माओवाद्यांनी निवडणुकीवर बहिष्कार घालण्याचे आवाहन केले आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर शांततेत मतदान पार पाडणे सुरक्षा दलांसमोर मोठे आव्हान आहे. या लोकसभा क्षेत्रातील कोंटा, दंतेवाडा, बिजापूर व नारायणपूर येथे सकाळी ७ ते दुपारी ३ वाजतापर्यंत तर बस्तर, चित्रकूट, कोण्डागाव व जगदलपूर येथे सकाळी ७ ते सायंकाळी ५ वाजतापर्यंत मतदान होईल. एकूण १,८७९ मतदान केंद्रांपैकी ७४१ संवेदनशील आहेत. येथे ८० हजार जवान तैनात करण्यात आले आहेत.
रामटेक : माजी पंतप्रधान नरसिंह राव, माजी केंद्रीय मंत्री सुबोध मोहिते, काँग्रेसचे महासचिव मुकुल वासनिक यांना विजयी करणाऱ्या रामटेक लोकसभा मतदारसंघाने चेहऱ्यापेक्षा पक्षावर आधारित निवडणुका अनुभवल्या आहेत. यंदाच्या निवडणुकांमध्ये मात्र पक्ष आणि चेहरा हे दोन्ही मुद्दे मतदानासाठी ग्राह्य धरले जाणार असे दिसून येत आहे. हा चेहरा आहे, पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांचा. मोदींच्या बाजूने झालेले मतदान आणि त्यांच्या विरोधात झालेले मतदान यातील फरक म्हणजे निकाल, अशी चिन्हे आहेत. मतदार ‘डिजिटल इंडिया’ला मतदान करणार की डिजिटलचा दावा करणाऱ्यांना ‘चल निकल’ म्हणणार याकडे लक्ष लागले आहे.
२०१४ सालच्या निवडणुकांप्रमाणेच यंदाही भाजप-सेना युती पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या चेहऱ्यावर ही निवडणूक लढवित आहे. विरोधी पक्षाने काही स्थानिक मुद्द्यांसोबतच मोदींवरील टीकेला प्राधान्य दिल्याचे दिसून येते. रामटेकमधून लोकसभेसाठी १६ उमेदवार रिंगणात आहेत. युतीने विद्यमान खासदार कृपाल तुमाने यांच्या हाती धनुष्यबाण दिला असून निवृत्त सनदी अधिकारी किशोर गजभिये यांना काँग्रेसच्या पंज्याची साथ लाभली आहे. प्रसिद्ध कव्वाल किरण पाटणकर (रोडगे) बहुजन वंचित आघाडीकडून लढत आहेत. काँग्रेसच्या उमेदवाराच्या आडनावाशी साधर्म्य असलेल्या सुभाष गजभिये बसपच्या हत्तीवर स्वार आहेत. कृपाल तुमाने यांच्यासाठी भाजपची मोठी टीम राबते आहे. तर, आमच्या उमेदवारला हायजॅक केल्याची शिवसेनेच्या कार्यकर्त्यांची खंत आहे. किशोर गजभिये मेहनत करीत आहेत. हुशार, अभ्यासू, माजी आयएएस अधिकारी ही त्यांच्यासाठी जमेची बाजू आहे. पक्षांतर्गत कुरबुरी, नियोजनाचा अभाव त्यांच्यापुढे अडचणी आणत आहेत. विधानसभेचे तिकीट मिळावे यासाठी आघाडी आणि युतीचे विद्यमान आमदार तसेच आमदारकीसाठी इच्छुक पक्षाच्या उमेदवारासाठी दिवस-रात्र एक करीत आहेत.
डिजिटल आणि कास्तकारी
मौदा शिवसेनेचा तालुका मानला जातो. ग्रामीण भागातील भारत खरेच डिजिटल झाला आहे का, असा येथील एका मध्यमवयीन माणसाला केला असता तो म्हणाला, ‘भाऊ पाच वर्सापूर्वी शेतावरील मजूर काम शोधाले मिस कॉल देत व्हते. गेल्या पाच वर्सात पुरे मिस कॉल बंदच झाले. आता मजूर बी फोन करते. मंग कस म्हन्ता इंडिया डिजिटल नई झाला.’ पारशिवनी बसस्थानकाजवळ सलून चालविणाऱ्या एका तरुणाने यंदा मतदान करण्यात फारसे स्वारस्य नसल्याचे सांगितले. ‘गेल्या पाच वर्षांत आम्ही तुमाने सायबाले बघितलं नाही. आता निवडणुकांसाटी ते आले. काँग्रेसचे किशोर गजभिये कोन हाये हे आम्ही कधी पायलंच नाही. आता मत देऊ कुनाले?’, असे तो म्हणाला. देवलापार आणि पवनी या परिसरातील कोअर जंगल ओलांडण्याची परवानगी नसल्याने आम्हाला पारशिवनीला फेरा मारून पलीकडच्या परिसरातील जावे लागते, अशी नाराजी एका महिलेने व्यक्त केली. सावनेर तालुक्यातील खापा या गावात रविवारी बैलांच्या बाजारासाठी आलेल्या एका शेतकऱ्यांने यंदा निवडणुकांचा माहोल नसल्याची खंत व्यक्त केली. ‘ही पहिलीच निवडणूक पाहतो आहे, ज्यात ना भोंगे ऐकू येऊ आहेत, ना झेंडे दिसत आहेत. दोन्ही उमेदवार आमच्यापर्यंत पोहोचलेले नाहीत. मात्र ही निवडणूक केंद्रात सक्षम सरकार चालविणारा पंतप्रधान देण्यासाठी हाच विचार आम्ही करीत आहोत’, असे हा शेतकरी म्हणाला.
नागपूर : मेळघाटचे साधे नाव घेतले तरी लगेच बालमृत्यू आणि कुपोषण डोळ्यांसमोर उभे राहते. मेळघाटच्या कपाळावर चिकटलेल्या या कोवळ्या पानगळीमुळे हा भाग शापीत झाला आहे. मात्र मेळघाटचे वास्तव त्याहूनही अधिक भयावह आहे. सरकारी योजनाच नाही तर या भागात काम करणाऱ्या सामाजिक संस्थांना देखील हे वास्तव अद्याप दृष्टीस पडलेले नाही. या भागात अकाली दगावणाऱ्या तरुणांची संख्या बालमृत्यू आणि मातामृत्यूपेक्षाही मोठी आहे, असे महात्मा गांधी ट्रायबल हॉस्पिटलचे (महान) संस्थापक डॉ. आशिष सातव यांनी येथे सांगितले.

डॉ. सातव म्हणाले, या भागात ८० टक्के बालके कुपोषण घेऊनच जन्माला येतात. त्यापैकी २० टक्के बालके ही अतितीव्र गटात मोडतात. आजही या भागात ५ हजारांहून अधिक बालके मरणाच्या दारात उभी आहेत. अर्भक मृत्यूदर ५० वरून २५ वर आणायचा आहे. हे आव्हान वाटते तितके सोपे नाही. दुसरीकडे आपण परग्रहावर यान पाठविण्याच्या मोहिमा आखतो. मात्र जमिनीवरील वास्तव त्याहून अधिक भयावह आहे. मेळघाटातली सर्वांत भीषण समस्या आजवर प्रकाशातच आलेली नाही. ती म्हणजे मेळघाटात दरवर्षी एक लाख लोकसंख्येतील ४५० तरुण अकाली मरणपंथाला जात आहेत. कमावत्या वयात म्हणजे १६ ते ६० या वयोगटात घरातला कमावता व्यक्ती विविध कारणांनी दगावत चालल्याने मेळघाटात दरवर्षी ८०० कुटुंब उद्ध्वस्त होतायत. क्षयरोग हे या मृत्यूचे पहिले मोठे कारण आहे. या मृत्यूतील २१ टक्के मृत्यूला क्षयरोग हे मुख्य कारण आहे. त्या खालोखाल १२ टक्के मृत्यू रक्तदाबाने, ११ टक्के हृदयरोगाने, १२ टक्के कर्करोगाने, ५ टक्के मेंदू मलेरियाने तर १०टक्के नैराश्यातून होणाऱ्या आत्मघाताने होत आहेत.

Jaya Prada, who had created history in 2004 by winning the Rampur seat for the first time for SP, defeating the heavyweight, sitting Congress MP Begum Noor Bano by 85,000 votes, is now back as a BJP candidate. On how she takes Azam Khan’s statement calling her “nachne gaane wali’ (singer-dancer), she said, “He can say anything. He did not have any respect for women. It’s his habit to make such statements but the people of Rampur knows him very well.”
“They dislike what he says and will reply to him with their votes,” she added. “In 2004, when I was in Mumbai (acting in Bollywood) and contested from here, he (Azam) campaigned for me. Didn’t he know me then? He now calls me ‘amrapali’ (dancer), nachne wali etc. It’s his habit, he can say anything to any women. He is a performer himself,” she added. About the response she is getting from the people of Rampur, Jaya Prada said, “Jatavs and Dalits are unhappy with the SP. They are with us.” Azam, who has been nine-time MLA from Rampur has done nothing for rural areas. He had been a Cabinet Minister but rural areas still lacks development as he did nothing.”
GHAZIABAD : When all Yadavs can be called relatives, then why cannot all Modis be called relatives, former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav asked on Monday, referring to the same last name shared by economic offender Nirav Modi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a public meeting, in favour of ‘mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) candidate Suresh Bansal, at the Ramlila Ground Kavi Nagar in Ghaziabad, the Samajwadi Party president said: “If a police officer can stop me at the Lucknow airport while I was going to a students’ union function, then how could liquor trader (Vijay Mallya) and Mehul Choksi (fugitive diamantaire) leave the country?” Akhilesh Yadav said.
The BJP government has not fulfilled promises made in 2014 and is not disclosing data on employment, farmer suicides, and businesses hit by GST and demonetisation, Mr Yadav said.
He alleged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had only painted road dividers and offices but no development work was taken up.
“The six-lane elevated road which was constructed on a single pillar is the best in the country, the metro line from Dilshad Garden to Purana Bus Adda, Ghaziabad were constructed by our government to facilitate lakhs of commuters,” the Samajwadi Party president added.

Nagpur : A speeding truck crushed to death an on-duty employee of toll booth when he was arranging barricades on Jabalpur-Nagpur Highway near Kamptee on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Mohan Devrao Kohale, a resident of Wagholi. According to police, Mohan and two others were on-duty at toll booth.
They moved to Kamptee after receiving an information about road accident, at 5.30 pm. When Mohan and others were putting up barricades on the road, a speeding truck (HR-38/W-2032) loaded with chili coming from opposite direction and rammed into the barricades. Mohan was crushed under the wheels of the truck and breathed his last on the spot while Sanjay digambar Khadse (37), a resident of Kanhan and Ashwin Bhaiyyaji Makde (25), a resident of Sonali Mohadi, Bhandara were injured in the mishap.
The injured persons were rushed to a hospital where doctors administered first-aid to them. Their condition is normal. New Kamptee police registered a case under Sections 279, 304 (a), 337, 338 of IPC read with Sections 134, 184 of MVA.\

The booklet prepared by Gadkari said, focus in on upgrading health care facilities along with affordable treatment for all sections of society.
For physically challenged persons, a separate facility engaged in creation of specialised equipment would be in place and free of cost eye screening and distribution of spectacles. For MIHAN focus is on creation of defence material manufacturing hub that would give fillip to jobs for youth. The proposed international convention centre and upgradation of Sonegaon Airport are a sure way to attract new investment in the region. For traders there is a promise of simplifying GST and giving relief from LBT notices issued by State,” he added. नागपूर : राळेगाव तालुक्यातील वडगाव या गावातील श्रीजीत विलासराव हाते या २४ वर्षीय शेतकऱ्याने रात्रीच्या सुमारास गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केली. गुढी पाडव्याच्या दिवशी आत्महत्या केल्याने परिसरात हळहळ व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे.
आत्महत्या केलेल्या शेतकऱ्याकडे स्वतःच्या नावाने चार एकर व मोठ्या भावाच्या नावाने चार एकर शेती आहे. हे दोघेही संयुक्तरीत्या शेती करत होते. मागील काही वर्षांपासून सततच्या नापिकीमुळे आत्महत्या केली असल्याची शक्यता व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे. याआधी ही आत्महत्याग्रस्त शेतकऱ्याच्या वडिलांनी विहिरीमध्ये पाण्यात उडी घेऊन आत्महत्या केली होती.

या चर्चेदरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांनी रोजगारनिर्मितीच्या आवश्यकतेचा मुद्दा वारंवार मांडला. निवडून येणाऱ्या सरकारने मोठ्या प्रमाणावर नोकऱ्या उपलब्ध करून द्याव्यात आणि बेरोजगारी कमी करण्यावर लक्ष केंद्रित करावे, अशी अपेक्षा व्यक्त करण्यात आली. बेरोजगारीचे प्रमाण २०१४ नंतर वाढले आहे. खासगीकरणाचे वाढते प्रमाण हे या बेरोजगारीला कारणीभूत आहे. शासकीय नोकऱ्यांचे आणि उपलब्ध जागांचे प्रमाण सातत्याने कमी होते आहे. स्पर्धा परीक्षेकडे विद्यार्थ्यांचा कल वाढला आहे. मात्र, या सरकारी नोकऱ्याच उपलब्ध नसल्याने स्पर्धा परीक्षांची तयारी करूनही काही उपयोग होत नाही. या तरुणांसमोर रोजगाराचा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला आहे आणि गेल्या पाच वर्षांत तो वाढला आहे, असे मत विद्यार्थ्यांनी व्यक्त केले.
ग्रामीण भागात शेतकऱ्यांच्या परिस्थितीवर विद्यार्थ्यांनी मते मांडली. शेतकऱ्यांच्या मालाला किमान आधारभूत किंमत द्यायला पाहिजे. शेतमालाच्या हमीभावासाठी सातत्याने आंदोलने केली जातात. विदर्भातील शेतकऱ्यांच्या समस्या कमी झालेल्या नाहीत. या समस्या सोडविण्यासाठी आणि शेतकऱ्यांची परिस्थिती सुधारण्यासाठी हमीभावासह इतर उपाययोजना गांभीर्याने करण्याची गरज आहे. शेतकऱ्यांच्या मालाला योग्य भाव मिळाल्यास त्याच्यावर आत्महत्या करण्याची वेळ येणार नाही, असे विश्लेषण चर्चेतून पुढे आले.
उमेदवारांना हवे सर्व प्रकारचे ज्ञान!
केवळ चेहऱ्यांच्या आधारे नव्हे, तर मुद्द्यांच्या आधारे मतदान करणार असल्याचे या कॉलेजमधील तरुणाईने सांगितले. चर्चेत सहभागी झालेल्यांपैकी बहुतांश तरुण हे पहिल्यांदा मतदान करणार आहेत. त्यांनी निवडणुकीतील उमेदवारांबद्दल असलेल्या अपेक्षा बोलून दाखविल्या. जो कुणी उमेदवार निवडणुकीत उभा असेल त्याला आर्थिक, राजकीय, सामाजिक, शैक्षणिक अशा सर्व समस्यांची जाण असावी. या गोष्टींवर त्यांचा अभ्यास असेल तर आमचे प्रतिनिधी म्हणून ते लोकसभेत आणि विविध ठिकाणी आमचे प्रश्न मांडू शकतील, असे विद्यार्थी म्हणतात.
लष्करी कारवाईचे आकर्षण
केंद्र सरकारने मागील पाच वर्षांत राबविलेले लष्करी धोरण तरुणांना आकर्षित करणारे ठरले आहे. उरी हल्ल्यानंतरचा सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक किंवा पुलवामा हल्ल्यानंतरचा पाकव्याप्त काश्मिरमधील हल्ला या सरकारच्या कारवाईचे चर्चेदरम्यान अनेकांनी समर्थन केले. या प्रत्युत्तरांमुळे भारताची ‘सशक्त राष्ट्र’ म्हणून प्रतिमा तयार झाली असल्याचे विद्यार्थ्यांनी सांगितले.
निरीक्षणे नवमतदारांची
– नोटाबंदीमुळे भ्रष्टाचाराला आळा बसेल असे स्वप्न दाखविण्यात आले होते. मात्र, या निर्णयाचा फटका सामान्य नागरिकांनादेखील बसला आहे.
– जीएसटीसारखा निर्णय हा करचोरीला आळा घालणारा निर्णय होता. ‘एक देश, एक कर’ हे उत्तम धोरण आहे.
– गरिबांच्या मुलांनादेखील चांगल्या शैक्षणिक सुविधा मिळाव्यात आणि शिक्षणामधील तफावत दूर व्हावी.
– पैसे देऊन नोकऱ्या लाटण्याचे प्रकार बंद व्हावेत आणि ज्यांच्याकडे खरोखर कौशल्य आहे, अशांना लाभ व्हावा.
– आरबीआय गव्हर्नर, न्यायपालिकेतील व्यक्तींची सरकारविरोधातील नाराजी, उद्योगपतींकडे असलेला कल हे चिंतेचे मुद्दे आहेत.
– पैसे घेऊन, जात-धर्माच्या आधारे मतदान होते. मतदारांनीदेखील आपल्या वर्तनात सुधारणा केली पाहिजे.
अपेक्षा तरुणांच्या
अतिखासगीकरण टाळावे.
– निवडणुकीच्या वर्षात नव्हे, दरवर्षी कराव्यात नोकऱ्या तयार
– डिजिटल सुविधांबद्दल मोठ्या प्रमाणात जागरुकता गरजेची, मार्गदर्शन शिबिरे घ्यावी.
– तेच तेच विषय नको, व्यावसायिक अभ्यासक्रम शिकवावा.
NEW DELHI : Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha today officially joined the Congress, on the Sansthapna Diwas or Foundation Day of his outgoing party, the BJP. As he bid a farewell to the BJP, with which he has shared an acrimonious relationship for years, the lawmaker took pot shots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah.
“In the one-man show, two-man army, everything happens from Prime Minister’s Office… the ministers can’t work freely anyway,” he said.
“We have seen how democracy turned into autocracy” he added.
Taking a jibe at the BJP over the snub to veteran leader LK Advani, Mr Sinha said, “Advani ji was sent to Mardarshak Mandal which hasn’t held even a single meeting so far. They did the same to Jaswant Singh, Yashwant Sinha… I was even told that I have been a critic and that I will not be given a cabinet post… but my image has been clean.”
Calling demonetisation “probably the world’s biggest scam”, Mr Sinha said “It was a mindless decision… Several people died… Modi ji’s mother was in the queue and we were told it was normal.
Shatrughan Sinha, 72, will contest as the Congress candidate from Bihar’s Patna Sahib, his constituency of 10 years.
In an association that had been souring for years, the proverbial last straw was the BJP snubbing Shatrughan Sinha and naming a different candidate, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, for his Patna Sahib constituency.
Mr Sinha today said that Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav has been “instrumental in my decision” to join the Congress.
There were reports that Mr Sinha’s big bang admission into the Congress was delayed by the party’s tussle with the RJD over him.
Mr Sinha has been openly critical of the PM and Amit Shah and over the past year, his tweet-a-day barbs have been increasingly provocative for the party. In January, he even joined opposition leaders in a mega rally in Kolkata hosted by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
मुंबई : वंचित बहुजन आघाडीचे वलय, शिवसेना-भाजपशी युती करूनही रिपाइंला लाेकसभेची एकही जागा न सुटणे यामुळे रिपाइं कार्यकर्ते बिथरले आहेत. त्यामुळेच आता सोलापूर, अहमदनगर, शिर्डी, दक्षिण मध्य मुंबई या मतदारसंघांत पक्षाध्यक्ष रामदास आठवले यांचा निर्णय झुगारून भाजप -शिवसेनेच्या विरोधात मतदान करण्याच्या निर्णयाप्रत रिपाइं कार्यकर्ते आले आहेत. शिर्डी मतदारसंघात यापूर्वी आठवलेंना पराभूत करणाऱ्या विखे पाटलांना नगर- शिर्डीत इंगा दाखवूच, असा निर्धारही या कार्यकर्त्यांनी व्यक्त केला.
सांताक्रुझमध्ये गुरुवारी रिपाइंच्या राज्य कार्यकारिणीची बैठक झाली. या बैठकीत आठवले यांच्यासमोर कार्यकर्त्यांनी आपल्या मनातील खदखद व्यक्त केली. तसेच राज्यातील आंबेडकरी समाजाचा कानोसाही व्यक्त केला. पक्षाचे प्रदेश सचिव राजा सरवदे यांनी सोलापुरातील वास्तव मांडले. प्रदेश सचिव विजय वाकचौरे यांनी शिर्डी, अहमदनगरमधील बाब मांडली, तर गौतम सोनवणे यांनी मुंबईतील कार्यकर्त्यांच्या भावना व्यक्त केल्या.
सोलापुरात वंचित बहुजन आघाडीचे उमेदवार अॅड. प्रकाश आंबेडकर यांना समाजातून चांगला पाठिंबा मिळत आहे. येथून बसप उमेदवाराने माघार घेतली आहे. येथे भाजप उमेदवार जयसिद्धेश्वर शिवाचार्य महाराज यांना आंबेडकरी समाजाकडून मतदान होणे मुश्कील आहे, याकडे रिपाइं कार्यकर्त्यांनी आठवलेंचे लक्ष वेधले.
२००९ च्या निवडणुकीचा राग
२००९ मध्ये शिर्डीमध्ये राधाकृष्ण विखे पाटील यांनी रामदास आठवले यांना पराभूत करण्यासाठी जातीय प्रचार केला होता. त्याचा वचपा काढण्यासाठी रिपाइं कार्यकर्ते अहमदनगरमध्ये विखे पाटील यांच्या मुलाच्या (डाॅ. सुजय) विरोधात काम करणार आहेत. रामदास आठवले यांना दक्षिण मध्य मुंबई किंवा ईशान्य मुंबई मतदारसंघ हवा होता. तो न सोडल्याने या दोन्ही मतदारसंघांत रिपाइं कार्यकर्ते शिवसेना-भाजपच्या विरोधात काम करण्याची शक्यता आहे.
काय म्हणतात आठवलेंचे कार्यकर्ते
१ साहेब, गुलाल पाहिजे की नीळ… मेणबत्ती पाहिजे की अगरबत्ती.. असा ज्यांनी आपल्याविरोधात जातीय प्रचार केला, त्यांना म्हणजे विखे पाटलांना मतदान करा, असे कोणत्या तोंडाने सांगायचे, असा प्रश्न अहमदनगरच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी अाठवलेंना केला.
२ ‘सोलापुरात साक्षात बाबासाहेबांचा नातू उभा आहे. त्यांना सोडून भाजपच्या हिंदू साधूला मतदान करा, असे बौद्धांना कोणत्या तोंडाने सांगायचे,’ असा सवाल सोलापूरच्या नेत्यांनी केला.
३ दक्षिण मध्य मुंबईची जागा शिवसेनेने अापल्याला सोडली नाही. शिवसेनेच्या एकाही पोस्टरवर तुमचा फोटो नाही. मग धारावीत शिवसेनेचा प्रचार आपल्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी काेणत्या तोंडाने करायचा, असा सवाल मुंबईच्या नेत्यांनी केला.
आठवलेंनी काढली समजूत, कारवाईचाही इशारा
कार्यकर्त्यांच्या मनातील ही खदखद ऐकल्यावर रामदास आठवले यांनी सर्वांची समजूत घातली. ‘पक्षविरोधी काम करू नका. तसे कोणी केले तर पक्षातून निलंबित केले जाईल,’ असा इशाराही आठवले यांनी दिला, अशी माहिती पक्षाचे राष्ट्रीय सरचिटणीस अविनाश महातेकर यांनी दिली.
Nagpur : NASA on Friday announced that its Parker Solar Probe, the fastest spacecraft in history, has completed its second close approach to the Sun and is now entering the outbound phase of the second solar orbit.
At 6:40pm Eastern Time on Thursday (4:10am IST, Friday), the spacecraft passed within 15 million miles (24 million kilometres) of the Sun, tying its distance record set in October as the closest spacecraft ever to the star, according to NASA.
Parker Solar Probe was travelling at 343,112 kilometres per hour during this perihelion.
The spacecraft is operating well and all instruments are collecting science data, sending back normal signals through NASA’s Deep Space Network.
“We’re looking forward to getting the science data down from this encounter in the coming weeks so the science teams can continue to explore the mysteries of the corona and the Sun,” said Nickalaus Pinkine, Parker Solar Probe mission operations manager.
Parker Solar Probe began this solar encounter on March 30, and it will conclude on April 10.
Nagpur : Government has notified transfer of district, civil court senior and junior judges across Maharashtra. Nagpur’s VR Joshi was transferred to Amalner in Jalgaon district, VK Yavalkar to Pune, TG Mitkari to Aurangabad, VG Raghuwanshi to Jalna and AK Sharma to Akola district and sessions court.
PK Agnihotri was sent to Buldhana family court while AC Raut was sent to industrial court Bhandara. Purushottam Jadhav was transferred to Mumbai City Civil Court. Vasant Kulkarni and SK Deshpande would remain in Nagpur.
Rajaram Pande (Bhandara) was made joint secretary Law and Justice department, Nagpur while Nanded’s SS Todkar was transferred to Nagpur Family Court. Jalna’s SS Kathale was transferred to Nagpur industrial court while Pune’s SK Karhale, Gangakhed Parbhani’s AD Harne, Amravati’s VD Ingle, Malshiras Solapur’s RR Pathare, Solapur’s Sunil Patil and Pandharpur’s RK Sheikh were transferred to Nagpur district and sessions court.

Nagpur : As the nation is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 and political parties are busy in campaigning, the students of Zulekha College of Commerce, Science and Technology have taken up an initiative to create voter awareness.
Around 50 students and teachers participated in a rally to create awareness on elections and voting rights on Wednesday.
This year, the Election Commission has put forth a theme – Inclusive and Qualitative Participation. Through such awareness initiative, the aim was to create awareness among young voters and enable them to participate in the voting process with enthusiasm.
Majority of the students in the rally came up with the slogans to encourage people to vote in elections which captured the attention of the onlookers and also some students raised slogans like ‘Slogans such as “Sab logo ki yehi pukaar, vote dena hai hamara adhikaar”, “Vote for nation”, “Budhe ho ya jawan, sabhi kare matdaan”, “Voting is not only our right but it is our power”, etc.
Student volunteers of NSS units of the college were the backbone of the socio-academic venture.
Nagpur : Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has adjudged its Nagpur Regional Centre as the Best in the country. Nagpur Regional Centre received Best Services Gold Medal and Certificate during the recently held 32nd Convocation where M Venkaiah Naidu, Vice-President of India was the chief guest.
A special committee was constituted to analyse the performances of all the 56 Regional Centres in the country and based on its recommendation the IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Prof Nageshwar Rao approved the name of Nagpur Regional Centre for the Best Services Award. Dr P Sivaswaroop, Regional Director, IGNOU Nagpur Regional Centre received the Gold Medal at the hands of the Vice-President of India at New Delhi.
On this occasion, Dr Sivaswaroop said, “This is the success of the dedicated and committed services rendered by all the functionaries including academic counsellors, study centre functionaries like Coordinators, Programme Incharges, Assistant Coordinators, Assistant Programme Incharges, Assistants and the staff at Regional Centre.” IGNOU is the largest Open University in the World with more than 32 lakh students spread across India and globe.
To provide effective student support services to the students, IGNOU has established 56 Regional Centres at various cities across the country. Every year IGNOU evaluates the performance of the Regional Centres which are supposed to educate the people especially unreached sections about distance education method and motivate people towards higher education. Team that assesses also sees to it whether the centres study local conditions in the region and ensure quality education to the desiring people nearest to their place of residence. The Regional Centre activities include identifying proper institutions and academic counsellors with appropriate qualification and monitor the classes, conducting examinations, etc.
After studying all these aspects Nagpur Regional Centre was found to be very much pro-active so the committee endorsed the name of Nagpur Regional Centre.
नागपूर : स्मार्ट सिटीच्या महिनाभरातील कामाच्या आधारावर नागपूर शहर पुन्हा अव्वल स्थानी आले आहे. अगदी अटीतटीच्या या गुणांकनात ०.०६ गुण अधिक मिळवित नागपूरने हे स्थान कायम राखले. नागपूरच्या पारड्यात ३६७.४२ गुण पडले. तर, दुसऱ्या क्रमांकावरील अहमदाबादला ३६७.३६ गुण मिळाले. केंद्रीय गृहनिर्माण व शहरी विकास मंत्रालयाने शुक्रवारी ही क्रमवारी जारी केली.
हे गुणांकन विविध बाबींचा आधार घेऊन करण्यात येते. खर्च, प्रकल्प अंमलबजावणी आणि पाच वर्षांतील स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थांची प्रगती या आधारावर गुणांकन असते. फेब्रुवारीत नागपूर दुसऱ्या क्रमांकावर घसरले होते. त्यावेळी नागपूरला ३६६.४३ गुणांकन होते. या महिन्यात अहमदाबादने ३६७.३६ गुण मिळवित अव्वल क्रमांक मिळविला होता. यावेळी परत नागपूरने पहिला क्रमांक पटकावला आहे.
स्मार्ट सिटी अंतर्गत नागपूर शहरात अनेक प्रकल्पांची अंमलबजावणी करण्यात येत आहे. याअंतर्गत निविदा श्युअर प्रकल्प आणि होम स्वीट होम प्रकल्पाचा समावेश आहे. तर, निवडणूक आचारसंहिता लागण्यापूर्वी क्षेत्राधिष्ठित विकास प्रकल्पांतर्गत अत्याधुनिक बाजारपेठांचा विकास हा प्रकल्प जाहीर करण्यात आला होता. एकूण शंभर स्मार्ट सिटीच्या क्रमवारीत पुणे शहराने अकराव्या क्रमांकावर २१३.५० गुण घेतले. तर, १९९ गुण घेत पिंपरी-चिंचवड शहर क्रमवारीत १९व्या क्रमांकावर आहे.
२ फेब्रुवारी २०१८ रोजी मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस आणि केंद्रीय परिवहन मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या उपस्थितीत शहरात अनेक प्रकल्पांचे भूमिपूजन करण्यात आले होते. स्मार्ट सिटी प्रकल्पांतर्गत पूर्व नागपुरातील पारडी, भरतवाडा आणि पुनापूर या भागातील १७३० एकर जमिनीवर अनेक प्रकल्प प्रस्तावित आहेत. या प्रकल्पांना राज्य व केंद्र सरकारतर्फे आर्थिक मदत करण्यात येत आहे.

नागपूर : मागील वर्षी पहिल्या पावसात शहरातील ज्या-ज्या ठिकाणी पाणी साचले होते त्या ठिकाणी पाणी साचणार नाही याची काळजी घ्या. आवश्यक त्या डागडुजी करा. मशीन आणि कर्मचारी सज्ज ठेवा. शहरातील वस्त्यांमधील नाल्यांची सफाईचे काम सुरू आहे. त्यात खंड न पडू देता युद्धपातळीवर सुरू ठेवा आणि नाग नदी, पिवळी नदी तसेच पोहरा नदी स्वच्छता अभियान मे महिन्याच्या पहिल्या आठवड्यापासून लोकसहभागातून सुरू करा, असे निर्देश मनपा आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी दिले.
मनपा मुख्यालयातील छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज नवीन प्रशासकीय इमारतीच्या सभागृहात आयोजित पावसाळापूर्व नदी स्वच्छता आढावा बैठकीत ते बोलत होते. बैठकीला अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, उपायुक्त अझीझ शेख, अधीक्षक अभियंता मनोज तालेवार, ग्रीन व्हिजील फाऊंडेशनचे संस्थापक कौस्तभ चॅटर्जी, आरोग्य अधिकारी (स्वच्छता) डॉ. सुनील कांबळे यांच्यासह सर्व झोनचे कार्यकारी अभियंता, सहायक आयुक्त व विभागप्रमुख उपस्थित होते.
आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी मागील वर्षी झालेल्या पावसात शहरातील ज्या-ज्या वस्त्यांमध्ये, भागांत, परिसरात पाणी साचले होते, त्या ठिकाणची आताची परिस्थिती काय, याचा आढावा झोन सहायक आयुक्तांकडून घेतला. जी कामे अद्यापही अपूर्ण आहेत, ती तातडीने पूर्ण करण्याचे निर्देश त्यांनी यावेळी दिले. नरेंद्र नगर येथील रेल्वे अंडर ब्रीजमध्ये पाणी साचले तर त्यासाठी मड पंप आणि पाणी फेकणाऱ्या मशीन सज्ज ठेवण्यात याव्या, ज्यांची दुकाने, घरे बेसमेंट मध्ये आहेत त्यांना तातडीने नोटीस बजावून आवश्यक त्या उपाययोजना स्वत: कराव्यात, रेल्वे विभागासोबत समन्वय साधून त्यांच्या माध्यमातून आवश्यक त्या उपाययोजना करण्यात याव्या, आयआरडीपीच्या नाल्या स्वच्छ करण्यात याव्या, नाग नदी, पिवळी नदी, पोहरा नदी स्वच्छ करण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू करण्यात यावी, असे निर्देश त्यांनी दिले.
सीएसआर फंडातून कामे करण्यासाठी पत्र
शहरातील मॉईल, वेकोलि व अशा अनेक कंपन्यांना पत्र पाठवून त्यांच्या सीएसआर फंडातून नदी, नाले स्वच्छता करण्यासाठी पत्र पाठविण्याचे निर्देशही आयुक्तांनी दिले. नाले साफ, सफाई अभियानाचे संपूर्ण समन्वयन झोन स्तरावर सहायक आयुक्तांनी करावे, असे निर्देश दिले. नदी स्वच्छता अभियानात नागपूर सुधार प्रन्यास, एमआयडीसी, राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग प्राधिकरण, नागपूर मेट्रो, सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभाग, पाटबंधारे विभाग या संस्थाही सहभागी होणार असून लवकरच सर्व शासकीय, निमशासकीय आणि खासगी संस्थांच्या अधिकारी, प्रतिनिधींची बैठक घेणार असल्याची माहिती यावेळी देण्यात आली. या मोहिमेत शहरातील स्वयंसेवी संस्थांनीही सहभागी होण्याचे आवाहन आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर यांनी यावेळी केले.
वस्त्यांतील नाल्यांची सफाई सुरू
शहरातील अनेक भागांतून लहान-मोठे नाले वाहतात जे नाग नदी, पिवळी नदी, पोहरा नदीला मिळतात. या नाल्यांची सफाई झोन स्तरावरून सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. मे महिन्याच्या पहिल्या आठवड्यात तीनही मोठ्या नद्यांची स्वच्छता लोकसहभागातून करण्यात येणार असून त्यासाठी संपूर्ण यंत्रणा सज्ज ठेवण्याचे निर्देश यावेळी देण्यात आले.
नागपूर : लक्ष्मीभुवन चौकातील शेवाळकर बिल्डिंगमधील गम्स अॅण्ड बोन्स क्लिनिकमध्ये घरफोडी झाली. या क्लिनिकचे संचालन करणाऱ्या दाम्पत्याने एकमेकांविरोधात अंबाझरी पोलिसांत तक्रार दिली. पोलिसांनी दोघांविरुद्धही घरफोडीचा गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे.
कौटुंबिक कलहातून उच्चशिक्षित दाम्पत्याने एकमेकांविरोधात दिलेल्या या तक्रारीने पोलिस व वैद्यकीय क्षेत्रात आश्चर्य व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे. डॉ. रश्मी अमित घाडगे (वय ३६, रा. गायत्रीनगर, आयटी पार्कजवळ) यांनी दिलेल्या तक्रारीवरून अंबाझरी पोलिसांनी डॉ. अमित विजय घाडगे (वय ४२, रा. रॉयल एडिफीस, सेन्ट्रल रेल्वे कॉलनी) यांच्याविरुद्ध तर अमित यांनी दिलेल्या तक्रारीवरून डॉ. रश्मी यांच्याविरुद्ध घरफोडीचा गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला. लग्नानंतर घाडगे दाम्पत्याचे खटके उडायला लागले. वाद वाढल्याने डॉ. रश्मी यांनी अजनी पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये डॉ. अमित व त्यांच्या नातेवाइकांविरुद्ध हुंड्यासाठी छळ होत असल्याची तक्रार दिली. त्यानंतर त्या मुलीसह माहेरी गायत्रीनगर येथे गेल्या.
घाडगे दाम्पत्याचे लक्ष्मीभुवन चौकात क्लिनिक आहे. क्लिनिकच्या चाव्या दोघांकडेही आहेत. ७ मार्चला डॉ. रश्मी या क्लिनिकमध्ये आल्या आल्या. त्यांना दातावर शस्त्रक्रिया करणारे उपकरणे तुटलेली दिसली. तसेच क्लिनिकमधील साहित्य गायब होते. डॉ. अमित व त्यांच्या नातेवाइकांनी क्लिनिकमधील पाच लाख २० हजार रुपयांचे साहित्य चोरी केल्याची तक्रार डॉ. रश्मी यांनी दिली तर, डॉ. अमित यांनी दिलेल्या तक्रारीनुसार, कान, नाक, घशाच्या क्लिनिकमधून डॉ. रश्मी यांनी सोन्याचे दागिने व दीड लाख रुपये असा एकूण चार लाख ४० हजार रुपये किमतीचा ऐवज चोरी केला. पोलिसांनी अखेर दोघांविरुद्धही घरफोडीचा गुन्हा दाखल करून तपास सुरू केला आहे.
नागपूर : लोकसभा निवडणुकीच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर होणाऱ्या अवैध दारूच्या वापरावर निर्बंध लादण्यासाठी राज्य उत्पादन शुल्क विभागाने धडक कारवाया सुरू केल्या आहेत. उमरी खदान येथे हातभट्टी निर्मितीच्या कारखान्यावर धाड टाकत १ लाख ७२ हजार रुपयांचा माल नष्ट केला.
राज्य उत्पादन शुल्क विभागाच्या पथकाने सावनेर तालुक्यातील उमरी खदान येथे हातभट्टी दारूनिर्मितीच्या कारखान्यावर धडक कारवाई केली. या कारवाईत ६,९०० लिटर मोहा सडवा, २०० लिटर मोहा तयार दारू, २०० लिटर क्षमतेचे २५ भट्टी ब्यारेल्स व २०० लिटर क्षमतेची रसायन भरलेली २० ब्यारेल्स, १००० लिटर क्षमतेच्या प्लास्टिक टाकी मध्ये सडवा तसेच २५ लोखंडी व ३० प्लास्टिक ड्रम्स, १५ चाटू व १८ जर्मन पातेली असा १ लाख ७२ हजार किमतीचा मुद्देमाल नष्ट करण्यात आला.
उपायुक्त उषा वर्मा व अधीक्षक प्रमोद सोनोने यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली निरीक्षक सुभाष हनवते यांच्या पथकाने ही कारवाई केली. या कारवाईत दुय्यम निरीक्षक रावसाहेब कोरे, बाळासाहेब भगत, रवींद्र सोनोने, सहाय्यक दुय्यम निरीक्षक प्रशांत येरपुडे, जवान संजय राठोड, समीर सय्यद, सुधीर मानकर, वाहन चालक देवेश कोटे तसेच ३० होमगार्ड्स सहभागी झाले होते.
