नागपूर : राष्ट्रसंत तुकडोजी महाराज नागपूर विद्यापीठाने पदव्युत्तर कोर्सला स्वयमच्या मार्फत ऑनलाइन कोर्सचे २० टक्के क्रेडिट उपलब्ध करून देण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे, अशी माहिती प्र-कुलगुरू डॉ. प्रमोद येवले यांनी दिली.
केंद्रीय मनुष्यबळ विकास मंत्रालयाने विविध ऑनलाइन कोर्सेस तयार केले आहेत. त्यानुसार पदव्युत्तर कोर्सच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना हे ऑनलाइन कोर्स उपलब्ध करून देण्याचा निर्णय नागपूर विद्यापीठाने घेतला आहे. त्यासाठी प्र कुलगुरू डॉ. प्रमोद येवले यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली समिती स्थापन करण्यात आली. समितीच्या बैठकीत स्वयंचे विविध विषय लागू करण्यावर चर्चा करण्यात आली. प्रात्याक्षिक असलेल्या विषयासाठी विद्यार्थ्यांना संबंधीत कॉलेजमध्ये जावे लागेल. परंतु, इतर विषय त्यांना ऑनलाइनच शिकावे लागणार आहेत. त्या विषयांची परीक्षा देखील यूजीसीमार्फत ऑनलाइन घेण्यात येणार आहे.
विद्यार्थ्यांनी परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण केल्यानंतर त्याचे पाच क्रेडिट त्यांना प्रती सेमिस्टर दिले जाणार आहेत. विद्यार्थ्यांना त्यांच्या विद्याशाखेशिवाय अन्य विषय निवडण्याची मुभा देण्यात येणार आहे. तसेच स्वयमचे २० टक्के क्रेडिट कसे लागू करावेत, त्यासाठी विविध अभ्यास मंडळांची बैठक घेण्यात येणार आहे. पदव्युत्तरच्या प्रत्येक सेमिस्टरमध्ये स्वयमचा एक विषय राहणार आहे. त्या विषयाच्या निवडीचे स्वातंत्र्य विद्यार्थ्यांना देण्यात येणार आहे. तसेच विद्यार्थ्यांच्या गुणपत्रिकेवरही स्वयमच्या कोर्सचा विशेष उल्लेख राहणार आहे. बहुतांश विषय हे कौशल्य विकासावर आधारित आहेत.
नागपूर : आयसीएआयतर्फे घेण्यात येणाऱ्या सीए अभ्यासक्रमाची परीक्षा पद्धतीमध्ये बदल करण्यात आला आहे. नवीन पद्धतीमध्ये ओएमआर शीटचा प्रयोग वर्णनात्मक आणि वस्तुनिष्ठ पद्धतीच्या कार्यक्रमांसाठी करण्यात येणार आहे. येत्या २७ मेपासून सुरू होणाऱ्या परीक्षांमध्ये ही नवीन पद्धती पहिल्यांदाच वापरण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती आहे.
परीक्षा पद्धतीमध्ये अधिक पारदर्शकता यावी आणि विद्यार्थ्यांना सहजता वाटावी या उद्देषाने आयसीएआय नियमितपणे परीक्षा पद्धतीमध्ये बदल करत असते. त्याच श्रुंखलेत यंदापासून हा बदल स्वीकारण्यात आला आहे. आयसीएआने यंदापासून इंटरमिडीएट आणि अंतिम वर्षाचे सर्व पेपर बहुपर्यायी उत्तर स्वरुपाचे केले आहेत. यावर तीस टक्के गुण राहणार आहेत. पेपर दोन स्वरुपाचा राहणार आहे. यातील एक भाग बहुपर्यायी उत्तरांचा तर दुसरा वर्णणात्मक स्वरुपाचा राहील. यावर सत्तर टक्के गुण राहतील. वस्तुनिष्ठ स्वरुपाच्या प्रश्नांसाठी ओएमआर शीटचा प्रयोग करण्यात येणार आहे. त्यामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी पेन्सिलद्वारे योग्य पर्यायाभोवती वर्तुळ करायचे आहे. तर वर्णणात्मक स्वरुपाच्या प्रश्नासाठी स्वतंत्र उत्तरपत्रिका उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येणार आहे. पेपर संपूर्ण सोडविल्यानंतर ओएमआर शीट जमा करायची आहे. येत्या २७ मेपासून सीए अभ्यासक्रमाच्या परीक्षा सुरू आहेत. त्या १२ जूनपर्यंत राहतील. यामध्ये फाउंडेशन कोर्स, इंटरमिडिएट, अंतिम अभ्यासक्रम यांचा समावेश आहे. जुना आणि नवीन अशा दोन्ही स्वरुपाच्या अभ्यासक्रमांच्या या कालावधीत होतील.
नागपूर : लष्करात ‘मिलिटरी पोलिस’ विभागात महिलांना जवान म्हणून संधी देण्याची घोषणा संरक्षण मंत्री निर्मला सीतारामन यांनी केल्यानंतर, चार महिन्यानंतर लष्कराने या पदावरील भरतीची प्रक्रिया प्रत्यक्षात सुरू केली आहे. लष्कराने जाहिरात प्रसिद्ध करून या भरतीसाठी अर्ज मागवले असून त्यासाठी ऑनलाइन नोंदणीची प्रक्रियाही २५ एप्रिलपासून सुरू झाली आहे. नोंदणीसाठी ८ जून ही अखेरची तारीख आहे.
आजवर सशस्त्र दलामध्ये महिलांची फक्त अधिकारी पदावर नियुक्ती केली जात असून वैद्यकीय, कायदा, सिग्नल, अभियांत्रिका या विभागांमध्ये त्यांना घेतले जात आहे. मात्र आता जवान म्हणून संधी मिळाल्याने आणखी एका करिअर क्षेत्राची कवाडे महिलांसाठी खुली झाली आहेत.
लष्करप्रमुख जनरल बिपिन रावत यांनी पदभार हाती घेतल्यानंतर महिलांना मिलिटरी पोलिस विभागात जवान म्हणून नियुक्त करण्याची कल्पना सर्वप्रथम मांडली होती. त्यानंतर सीतारामन यांनी जानेवारीमध्ये ही घोषणा केली होती. या विभागामध्ये टप्प्याटप्प्याने महिलांना सामावून घेऊन त्यांचे संख्याबळ २० टक्क्यांपर्यंत नेण्याची योजना असल्याचे स्पष्ट केले होते. दरवर्षी ५२ याप्रमाणे महिला जवानांची संख्या ८०० पर्यंत नेली जाणार आहे.
सरकारी आकडेवारीनुसार, भूदलात महिलांचे प्रमाण ३.८ टक्के, हवाई दलात १३.०९ टक्के, तर नौदलात ६ टक्के आहे.
मिलिटरी पोलिस विभागात महिला जवानांची जबाबदारी पुढीलप्रमाणे असेल-
– बलात्कार, विनयभंग, चोरी आदी गुन्ह्यांचा तपास
– लष्कराला पोलिसांकडून मदत आवश्यक असेल, अशा लष्करी मोहिमा
– युद्धसदृश स्थितीमध्ये सीमेजवळील गावांतून लोकांचे स्थलांतर करण्यासाठी पोलिस/ प्रशासनाला मदत
नागपूर : मालेगाव स्फोटातील आरोपी साध्वी प्रज्ञासिंह ठाकूर यांना भोपाळमधून लोकसभेची उमेदवारी जाहीर करून भाजप कट्टर हिंदुत्वाकडे झुकल्याचा संकेत दिल्यानंतर पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी येत्या १ मे रोजी हिंदुत्वाचे प्रतीक ठरलेल्या अयोध्येला जाण्याची शक्यता आहे. अयोध्येतील राम मंदिराच्या मुद्यावर निष्क्रीय असल्याचा आरोप होत असताना पंतप्रधान मोदी यांनी फैजाबादचे भाजप उमेदवार लल्लू सिंह यांच्यासाठी अयोध्येत प्रचारसभेला संबोधित करण्याचे ठरविले आहे.
पंतप्रधान झाल्यानंतर गेल्या पाच वर्षांपासून पंतप्रधान मोदी अयोध्येला जात आहेत. त्यामुळे ऐन लोकसभा निवडणुकीत पंतप्रधान मोदी यांना अयोध्येतील रामाचे स्मरण झाल्याची प्रतिक्रिया उमटली आहे. अयोध्येतील माया बाजार येथे पंतप्रधान मोदी भाजप उमेदवाराच्या प्रचारसभेला संबोधित करणार असल्याचे समजते. मोदी अयोध्या भेटीदरम्यान भगवान रामलल्लाचे दर्शन आणि पूजा करणार काय, हे अद्याप स्पष्ट झालेले नाही. उत्तर प्रदेशात सत्ता आल्यापासून भाजपने अयोध्येवर विशेष लक्ष केंद्रीत केले असून अयोध्येत प्रभू रामचंद्राची भव्य मूर्ती उभारण्याचा संकल्पही केला आहे.
गेल्या दोन वर्षांमध्ये उत्तर प्रदेशच्या योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकारने अयोध्येमध्ये अनेक मोठ्या कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करीत हिंदुत्वाला खतपाणी घालण्याचे काम केले आहे. गेल्या वर्षी अयोध्येमध्ये भव्य दीपोत्सवाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. शिवाय फैजाबादचे नाव बदलून अयोध्या असे करण्यात आले असून येथे प्रभू रामचंद्राची भव्य मूर्ती उभारण्याचा संकल्पही केला आहे. लोकसभा मतदारसंघाचे नाव मात्र अद्याप फैजाबाद असेच आहे. भाजपचे लल्लू सिंह हे येथील विद्यमान खासदार आहेत. यावेळी भाजपने त्यांनाच पुन्हा तिकीट दिले आहे. काँग्रेसने या मतदारसंघामध्ये पक्षाचे माजी प्रदेशाध्यक्ष निर्मल खत्री यांना उमेदवारी दिली आहे. सन २००९ च्या निवडणुकीत खत्री यांचा विजय झाला होता. महाआघाडीतर्फे सपाचे आनंदसेन यादव या मतदारसंघात उभे आहेत. या पार्श्वभूमीवर पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या अयोध्या दौऱ्याला अनेक आयाम प्राप्त झाले आहेत.
दौऱ्याचे अनेक अर्थ
पंतप्रधान मोदी यांच्या अयोध्या दौऱ्याचे अनेक अर्थ काढले जात आहेत. लोकसभा निवडणुकीच्या पाचव्या टप्प्यात ६ मे रोजी उत्तर प्रदेशमधील फैजाबादसह लखनऊ, रायबरेली, अमेठी, धौरहरा, सीतापूर, मोहनलालगंज, बांदा, फतेहपूर, कौशांबी, बाराबंकी, बहराइच, केसरगंज आणि गोंडा या १४ जागांवर मतदान होणार आहे. त्यापूर्वी मोदी यांची सभा झाल्यास भाजपला फैजाबादच्या आजूबाजूला असलेल्या मतदारसंघांमध्ये देखील फायदा होऊ शकतो. मतदानापूर्वी होणाऱ्या पंतप्रधान मोदी यांच्या दौऱ्यामुळे येथील वातावरण भाजपानुकूल करण्याचे जोरदार प्रयत्न पक्षाकडून केले जाणार आहेत. उत्तर प्रदेशमध्ये समाजवादी पार्टी-बहुजन समाज पार्टी-राष्ट्रीय लोक दल या महाआघाडीच्या आव्हानाला तोंड देणाऱ्या भाजपला मोदी यांच्या दौऱ्यामुळे उभारी मिळण्याची आशा व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
नागपूर : पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या गुजरातमधील वडनगर या गावाची अवस्था बिकट असून, तशीच परिस्थिती त्यांनी दत्तक घेतलेल्या उत्तर प्रदेशातील नागेपूर गावाची आहे. हा माणूस जेथून आला तिथली अवस्था पाहता गेल्या पाच वर्षांच्या यांच्या कारभारामुळे देशाची परिस्थिती काय झाली असेल, अशा शब्दात मनसे अध्यक्ष राज ठाकरे यांनी मोदी यांच्या कार्यपद्धतीवर घणघाती टीका केली. नरेंद्र मोदी आणि अमित शहा हे देशावरील संकट असून, हे ढोंगी भंपक सरकार तुम्हाला पाडावे लागेल. या देशात लोकशाही राहणार की, हुकुमशाही येणार यासाठी ही निवडणूक महत्त्वाची असल्याचे ते भांडुप येथे बुधवारी रात्री झालेल्या प्रचारसभेत म्हणाले.
केंद्रातील भाजप सरकारच्या गेल्या पाच वर्षांत जाहीर करण्यात आलेल्या सर्व योजनांचा बोजवारा उडाला आहे. दस्तुरखुद्द पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या वडनगर या मूळ गावातील लोकांनाच शौचालय नसल्याने उघड्यावर शौचाला जावे लागते. मोदी त्यांनी जाहीर केलेल्या एकाही योजनेवर बोलायला तयार नाहीत. मात्र, योजनांच्या जाहिरातींवर साडेचार हजार कोटींचा खर्च करून जनतेला भुरळ घातली जात आहे. खोटे बोला पण रेटून बोला हाच यांचा उद्योग आहे. संपूर्ण भाजपलाच खोटे बोलण्याचा रोग जडला असल्याची टीका राज ठाकरे यांनी केली.
गरिबीतून मुक्त केल्याचा दावा भाजप करत असलेले चिले कुटुंबच राज यांनी यावेळी व्यासपीठावर आणले. योगेश चिले स्वतः मनसेचे पदाधिकारी असून, त्यांचा मूर्ती बनविण्याचा व्यवसाय आहे. वडील बेस्टचे निवृत्त कर्मचारी तर आई महापालिकेतून सेवानिवृत्त झाली आहे. भाजपचा या कुटुंबाबाबतचा दावा पूर्ण खोटा आहे. त्यांनी वेबपेजवरून ही माहिती गायब केली आहे. त्यामुळे खोटे बोलण्याचा रोगच भाजपमध्ये वरपासून खालपर्यंत लागल्याचे राज ठाकरे म्हणाले.
पंतप्रधान मोदींनी जाहीर केलेल्या सर्व योजना फसल्या आहेत. स्वच्छ भारत, नमामी गंगे, उज्जवला गॅस योजना, स्टार्टअप सर्व योजना बारगळल्या आहेत. विरोधी पक्षात असताना गॅस दरवाढीच्या विरोधात भाजपवाले कंठशोष करायचे. २०१४ साली ४१० रुपयांना असणारा गॅस सिलिंडर आता ७५० रुपयांच्या घरात गेला आहे. मोदींनी दत्तक घेतलेल्या गावातील जनतेला प्यायला स्वच्छ पाणीही मिळत नसल्यामुळे त्या लोकांना विविध रोगांना सामोरे जावे लागत आहे. नमामी गंगा योजनेचा पूर्ण फज्जा उडाला आहे. दरवर्षी २ कोटी रोजगार देण्याची घोषणा फसवी निघाली. नोटाबंदीचा निर्णय साफ अयशस्वी झाला. सरकार अपयशी ठरल्यामुळे शहीद जवानांच्या नावाने राजकारण करण्याचा प्रयत्न भाजपवाले करीत असल्याची टीका त्यांनी केली.
‘प्रज्ञा सिंह यांचे समर्थन धक्कादायक’
मालेगाव बाँबस्फोटातील आरोपी साध्वी प्रज्ञा सिंह ठाकूर यांना भाजपने उमेदवारी देणे व त्याचे समर्थन करणे हा प्रकार भयानक आहे. पोलिस दलातील अधिकारी, शहिद हेमंत करकरे यांच्या कार्यपद्धतीबाबत सगळेच आदराने बोलतात. पुरावे होते म्हणून त्यांनी कारवाई केली. तरीही प्रज्ञासिंह यांची उमेदवारी भाजपाने कायम ठेवली यावर राज ठाकरे यांनी टीका केली.
‘केवळ खोटी आश्वासने’
ईव्हीएममध्ये घोळ आहे, असे याच भागातील पूर्वीचे खा. किरीट सोमय्या सांगत असायचे. पण त्यांनी गेल्या पाच वर्षांत तोंड उघडले नाही. रेल्वे अपघातात मोनिका मोरे या युवतीला दोन्ही हात गमवावे लागले. तत्कालीन काँग्रेस सरकारने काही केले नाही पण भाजपवाल्यांनीसुद्धा खोटी आश्वासने दिली. मुंबईत वर्षाकाठी रेल्वे अपघातात १८ हजार ४२३ मृत्यू होतात. याकडेही राज ठाकरे यांनी लक्ष वेधले.
नागपूर : अॅव्हेंजर्स सिरीजचा शेवटचा भाग ‘अॅव्हेंजर्स एन्डगेम’ येत्या शुक्रवारी प्रदर्शित होत आहे. मात्र प्रदर्शित होण्याआधीच हा हॉलिवूडपट लीक झाल्याची बातमी समोर आली आहे. तमीळरॉकर्स डॉट कॉम नावाच्या वेबसाइटवर हा संपूर्ण सिनेमा लीक झाल्याचं सुत्रांकडून समजतं. तामीळ रॉकर्सच्या वेबसाइटवर हा सिनेमा उपलब्ध असल्याचे स्क्रीनशॉट्स काही सिनेरसिकांनी ट्विटरवर शेयर केले आहेत.
या आधीही ‘अॅव्हेंजर्स एन्डगेम’चे काही व्हिडिओ लीक झाले होते. तेव्हा चित्रपटाच्या निर्मात्यांनी स्पॉइलर्स आणि चित्रपटाविषयीची इतर माहिती लीक करू नका, असं आवाहन केलं होतं. तरीही तमीळ रॉकर्सच्या वेबसाइटवर हा संपूर्ण सिनेमा लीक केला आहे.
‘अॅव्हेंजर्स एन्डगेम’ या हॉलिवूडपटाआधी तमीळ रॉकर्स वेबसाईटनं हॉलिवूड, बॉलिवूड आणि दक्षिणेतील इतरही अनेक सिनेमे लीक केले होते. ही वेबसाइट चालवणाऱ्या काही लोकांना २०१८मध्ये अटक करण्यात आलं होतं. तरीही या वेबसाइटवरून चित्रपट लीक होत आहेत. तमीळ रॉकर्स ही वेबसाईट सरकारकडून अनेकदा ब्लॉक करण्यात आली होती, पण प्रत्येकवेळी नवीन डोमेन आणि आईपीसोबत ही वेबसाइट पुन्हा सक्रिय होते.
नागपूर : गेल्या आठवड्यात झालेल्या अवकाळी पावसानंतर आता विदर्भात अचानक उष्णतेची लाट आली आहे. अकोला येथे बुधवारी देशातील सर्वाधिक ४५.१ अंश सेल्सिअस तापमानाची नोंद करण्यात आली. हा यंदाच्या मोसमातील उच्चांक आहे. उष्णतेची ही लाट पुढील दोन दिवस कायम राहणार आहे. शुक्रवारपासून संपूर्ण विदर्भात या उष्णतेच्या लाटेची तीव्रता वाढणार असल्याचा अंदाज हवामान खात्यातर्फे वर्तविण्यात आला आहे.
गेल्या आठवड्यात झालेल्या अवकाळी पावसानंतर सोमवारपासून विदर्भात तापमानवाढीला सुरुवात झाली आहे. सोमवारपासून अवकाळी पाऊस बेपत्ता झाला असून सूर्यदेवाने आग ओकण्यास सुरुवात केली आहे. गेल्या आठवड्यात ब्रह्मपुरी आणि चंद्रपूर वगळता सगळ्याच जिल्ह्यांमधील तापमान ४० अंशांपेक्षा कमी झाला होते. मात्र मंगळवारी ही परिस्थिती बदलली आणि सगळ्याच जिल्ह्यांमधील तापमान ४० अंशांपेक्षा अधिक झाले. बुधवार ते शुक्रवार यादरम्यान अकोला, अमरावती, ब्रह्मपुरी आणि चंद्रपूर येथे उष्णतेची सौम्य लाट राहण्याची शक्यता वर्तविण्यात आली आहे. त्यानंतर मात्र या लाटेच्या तीव्रतेत वाढ होणार आहे. बुधवारी अकोला खालोखाल ब्रह्मपुरी ४४.७, चंद्रपूर ४४. २, अमरावती ४४ अंश अंश इतक्या तापमानाची नोंद केली. याखेरीज नागपुरातही पारा ४३.४ अंशांवर पोहोचला. बुधवारी विदर्भात बुलडाणा येथे सगळ्यात कमी ४१.७ अंश तापमानाची नोंद करण्यात आली. गुरुनवारीसुद्धा अकोला, अमरावती, ब्रह्मपुरी आणि चंद्रपूर येथे उष्णतेची सौम्य लाट राहण्याची शक्यता वर्तविण्यात आली आहे. त्यानंतर संपूर्ण विदर्भात ही लाट पसरणार असून या लाटेच्या तीव्रतेत वाढ होणार आहे. त्यामुळे उष्माघातापासून वाचण्यासाठी नागरिकांनी योग्य ती काळजी घ्यावी असे आवाहन हवामान खात्यातर्फे करण्यात आले आहे.
रविवारी ४७?
शुक्रवारपासून उष्णतेची लाट अधिक तीव्र होणार असल्याचा अंदाज हवामान खात्यातर्फे वर्तविण्यात आला आहे. हवामान खात्यानुसार या काळात नागपुरातील तापमान ४४ अंश तर अकोला येथील तापमान ४५ अंशांपर्यंत पोहोचण्याची शक्यता आहे. मात्र बीबीसी वेदर या संस्थेने व्यक्त केलेल्या अंदाजानुसार येत्या रविवारी अकोल्यातील तापमान ४७ अंशांपर्यंत पोहोचू शकते. तसे झाल्यास एप्रील महिन्यातच तापमान ४७ अंशांपर्यंत पोहोचणे हादेखील एक विक्रम ठरू शकतो.

नागपूर : उत्तर प्रदेशातील वाराणसी मतदारसंघातून पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या विरोधात काँग्रेसनं पुन्हा एकदा अजय राय यांना उमेदवारी दिली आहे. त्यामुळं काँग्रेसच्या नेत्या प्रियांका गांधी-वाड्रा वाराणसीतून मोदींना टक्कर देणार असल्याच्या चर्चेला पूर्णविराम मिळाला आहे.
लोकसभा निवडणुकांसाठी पूर्व उत्तर प्रदेशमध्ये (पूर्वांचल) काँग्रेसचा प्रचार करण्याची जबाबदारी प्रियांका गांधींवर सोपवण्यात आली होती. गंगा यात्रा करत प्रचाराची सुरुवात करणाऱ्या प्रियांकांना स्थानिक जनतेचा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद लाभला. त्यातूनच प्रियांका गांधींनी वाराणसीतून पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींविरुद्ध निवडणूक लढवावी, अशी मागणी जोर धरू लागली. प्रियांकांनीही तशी तयारी दर्शवली. पक्षाच्या अध्यक्षांनी सांगितल्यास मी वाराणसीतून लढायला आवडेल, असं त्यांनी स्पष्ट केलं. त्यामुळं प्रियांका वाराणसीतून लढणार या चर्चेला जोर आला होता. मात्र, काँग्रेसनं आज जाहीर केलेल्या उमेदवार यादीत वाराणसीतून अजय राय यांचं नाव असल्यानं या सगळ्या चर्चा फोल ठरल्या आहेत.
२०१४मध्ये वाराणसी मतदारसंघातून नरेंद्र मोदी प्रचंड बहुमताने विजयी झाले होते. त्यावेळी आम आदमी पक्षाचे नेते अरविंद केजरीवाल यांनी मोदींविरोधात निवडणूक लढवली होती. त्यावेळच्या मोदी लाटेत केजरीवाल यांचा दारुण पराभव झाला होता. आता परिस्थिती बदलल्यानं प्रियांकांनी मोदींना आव्हान देण्याची तयारी केली होती. मात्र, स्थानिक परिस्थिती पाहता प्रियांकांना ही निवडणूक जिंकणे अवघड असल्याचं पक्षश्रेष्ठींच्या लक्षात आलं. त्यामुळं अखेरच्या क्षणी काँग्रेसनं निर्णय बदलल्याचं कळतं.
गोरखपूरमधून मधुसुदन तिवारी
उत्तर प्रदेशचे मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ यांचा गड असलेल्या गोरखपूर मतदारसंघातून काँग्रेसनं मधुसुदन तिवारी यांना उतरवलं आहे. तिवारी यांचा सामना भाजपचे उमेदवार व प्रसिद्ध भोजपुरी अभिनेते रवी किशन यांच्याशी होणार आहे. योगी आदित्यनाथ यांनी राजीनामा दिल्यानंतर झालेल्या पोटनिवडणुकीत भाजपला ही जागा गमवावी लागली होती. मात्र, गोरखपूरमध्ये सपा-बसपा आघाडीकडून निवडून आलेला उमेदवारच भाजपमध्ये आल्यानं आता येथील गणितं बदलली आहेत.
नागपूर : नागपूर महानगरपालिकांच्या शाळांत शैक्षणिक उपक्रमांसोबतच विद्यार्थ्यांच्या कलागुणांना वाव देण्यासाठी ग्रीष्मकालीन शिबिराचे आयोजन करण्यात येते. या माध्यमातून विद्यार्थ्यांना कलेचे ज्ञान अवगत होते. विद्यार्थ्यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्व विकासाच्या दृष्टीने असे उपक्रम उत्तम असल्याचे प्रतिपादन अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी यांनी केले.
नागपूर महानगरपालिका शिक्षण विभागाच्या कलादालनतर्फे येथील वाल्मिक हिंदी माध्यमिक शाळेत ४ ते २५ एप्रिल दरम्यान आयोजित ग्रीष्मकालीन शिबिराचा समारोप गुरुवारी (ता. २५) झाला. त्याप्रसंगी ते बोलत होते. यावेळी मंचावर उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते, तरंग संस्थेच्या सदस्या शुभदा खिरवाडकर, संगीता झा, श्रीमती फुके, मुख्याध्यापिका संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, शाळा इन्चार्ज रजनी परिहार, ज्येष्ठ शिक्षक चंदू वैरागडे उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी बोलताना अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांसोबतच शिबीर आयोजित करणाऱ्या शिक्षकांचेही कौतुक केले. उपायुक्त राजेश मोहिते यांनीही असे शिबिर वेळोवेळी आयोजित करण्याची गरज प्रतिपादित केली. मुख्याध्यापिका संध्या मेडपल्लीवार यांनीही यावेळी मार्गदर्शन केले.
सदर शिबिरात मनोज यादव, रिना यादव, कमल घोडमारे, अशोक वायकुडे, प्रशिता पहाडे आदी प्रशिक्षकांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना ॲथेलेटिक्स, हस्तकला, सिरॅमिक्स, ज्वेलरी मेकिंग, जैविक खत तयार करणे, संगीत, नृत्य आदींचे प्रशिक्षण दिले. विद्यार्थ्यांनी तयार केलेल्या वस्तुंचे प्रदर्शनी लावण्यात आली. वस्तूंची विक्री करून विद्यार्थ्यांनी कमाईसुद्धा केली. समारोपीय कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक रजनी परिहार यांनी केले. संचालन हर्षा भोसले यांनी केले. कार्यक्रमाला शिक्षक व शिबिरार्थी विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते.

नागपूर : बुटीबोरी-महागाव महामार्गावर वीजजोडणीचे काम देण्यात आलेल्या कंत्राटदाराने निकृष्ट काम केल्याचे प्रथमदर्शनी आढळून आले आहे. त्यामुळे त्या कंत्राटदाराची देयके थांबवण्यात यावीत, असा आदेश मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठाने दिला.
नागपूर-तुळजापूर महामार्गाच्या रुंदीकरणाचे काम सुरू आहे. त्या मार्गावर यवतमाळ विभागात धनलक्ष्मी एजन्सीद्वारे वीज जोडणीचे काम करण्यात येत आहे. महामार्गावरील विद्युत खांबांच्या कामाचा दर्जा आधीच निर्धारित करण्यात आला आहे. परंतु, निकषानुसार काम होत नसल्याने त्याविरुद्ध कारवाई करण्यात यावी, अशी तक्रार अजिंक्य पाटील यांनी संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांकडे केली होती. तक्रारीची दखल घेत अधिकाऱ्यांनी महामार्गावरील वीजजोडणीच्या कामाची प्रत्यक्ष पाहणी केली. त्यात कंत्राटदाराने निकृष्ट काम केल्याचे आणि गैरप्रकार केल्याचे आढळून आले. तसा अहवाल सादर करण्यात आला. सदर अहवालाची प्रत पाटील यांनी माहिती अधिकारात प्राप्त केली. तसेच या कामाची एमईआरसी अथवा आईसी यांच्याकडून चौकशी करावी, चौकशीच्या कालावधीत कंत्राटदाराची देयके रोखण्यात यावीत, अशी विनंती करणारी याचिका पाटील यांनी उच्च न्यायालयात दाखल केली. त्यावर न्या. सुनील शुक्रे आणि न्या. पुष्पा गनेडीवाल यांच्या खंडपीठासमोर सुनावणी झाली. तेव्हा कंत्राटदाराची देयके रोखण्याचा आदेश देण्यात आला. तसेच संबंधित कंत्राटदार कंपनी, राज्य सरकार आणि केंद्र सरकारला नोटीस बजावण्यात अली असून त्यावर ६ जूनपर्यंत उत्तर सादर करण्याचे आदेश देण्यात आले.

Nagpur : Four persons of Nagpur, Maharashtra were arrested on charges of attempt to murder in connection with brutally assaulting a contractor from Nehru Nagar, Bhilai in the road rage incident. On information, Supela police team swung into action and rounded up the accused who were remanded to jail from the court following their arrest. However, the victim contractor was immediately hospitalised but his condition was stated to be critical. Police sources informed that at about 10:30 pm on Tuesday, Ganendra Singh, a resident of Nehru Nagar, Bhilai, the victim contractor was on way home in his BMW car (CG04/LN/0003) from a nearby mall when the accused Sanjeev Gupta, a resident of Hingana Road, Nagpur, Maharashtra along with three others indulged in heated arguments with the victim and assaulted him with a heavy stone while causing him serious head injuries at Gurudwara Road in Nehru Nagar, Bhilai after intercepting his car. During interrogation in police custody, the accused confessed their involvement in the criminal act and disclosed all details before the police.
The police said that while agitated over rash driving the accused intercepted victim’s car and assaulted him with a heavy stone, causing the victim grievous injuries following heated exchanges. In a fit of anger accused also damaged victim’s car considerably. After reaching spot immediately, police rushed the victim to Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Hospital, Bhilai from where he was referred to Ramkrishna Care Hospital, Raipur.
The accused were on way to Nagpur after attending a marriage ceremony in Bhilai when they assaulted the victim following minor dispute. Acting in the matter, police have registered the offence against the accused under sections 341, 307, 427 and 34 of Indian Penal Code committing the offence of accosting the victim, causing injuries amounting to attempt to murder, ransacking the car and common intention of crime. While confirming details, Bhavesh Sao, Station House Officer, Supela Police Station informed that in the investigation so far the incident appeared to be of road rage and while under influence of liquor accused assaulted the victim with a heavy stone, causing him serious head injuries which amounted to attempt to murder. In this connection, police have already registered offence and arrested the accused. The police are further investigating the matter to ascertain criminal charges.

नागपूर : मेळघाटातील बफर झोनमधून बॅाडगेज रेल्वे लाइन टाकणे अशक्य असल्याचे उत्तर वन विभागाने अखेर मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठासमोर सादर केले. रेल्वे मार्गाबाबत उत्तर सादर न केल्यास दंडात्मक कारवाईचा इशारा न्यायालयाने दिला होता. त्यानंतर वन विभागाने भूमिका स्पष्ट केली.
मेळघाटाती बफर झोनमधून जाणाऱ्या रेल्वे मार्गाला आव्हान देणारी याचिका प्रमोद शंकरराव जुनघरे यांनी हायकोर्टात दाखल केली आहे. मध्य प्रदेशातील खंडवा ते महाराष्ट्रातील आकोटदरम्यान मीटरगेज रेल्वे मार्ग असून तेथील रेल्वेसेवा १ जानेवारी २०१८ पासून बंद आहे. सदर मार्ग आता ब्रॉडगेजमध्ये विकसित करण्याचा प्रस्ताव आहे. सदर प्रस्तावाला रेल्वे मंत्रालयाने मान्यता दिली. परंतु, त्या मार्गातील ५१ किलोमीटरचा मार्ग मेळघाट व्याघ्र प्रकल्पाच्या बफर झोनमधून जाणार आहे.
या मार्गामुळे वाघ व इतर वन्यजीवांना धोका निर्माण होऊ शकतो, असा दावा याचिकेत करण्यात आला. याशिवाय मेळघाट व्याघ्र प्रकल्पातील वन्यजीवांच्या कॅरिडोअरलादेखील धक्का बसणार असल्याचा दावा करण्यात आला. त्यामुळे दक्षिण मध्य रेल्वेने मेळघाट व्याघ्र प्रकल्पामधून रेल्वेमार्ग नेण्याऐवजी पर्यायी मार्ग काढण्याचा निर्णय घेतला होता. मात्र, केंद्रीय पर्यावरण मंत्रालयाने २१ जून २०१८ ला जुन्याच प्रस्तावाला मंजुरी दिली. त्यामुळे हा प्रस्ताव रद्द करावा, अशी याचिकेत विनंती करण्यात आली. त्यावर न्यायालयाने वन विभागाला उत्तर सादर करण्याचा आदेश दिला होता.
सदर प्रकल्पाला भारतीय वन्यजीव संस्था आणि केंद्रीय वन्यजीव मंडळाने विरोध केला आहे. तर आता वन विभागानेदेखील सदर प्रस्ताव अयोग्य असल्याचे मत दिले आहे. केंद्रीय वन्यजीव मंडळाच्या शिफारशीनुसार ब्रॉडगेज रेल्वे लाईनचा प्रस्ताव अशक्य आहे. त्यामुळे वन्यजीवाला धोका होणार असल्याचे शपथपत्रात नमूद केले आहे. तसेच या ब्रॉडगेज रेल्वे लाइचा प्रस्ताव केंद्रीय वन्यजीव मंडळाने राज्य सरकारकडे परत पाठवला असून तो प्रलंबित असल्याचेही शपथपत्रात नमूद केले आहे. याचिकाकर्त्यातर्फे अॅड. अश्वीन इंगोले यांनी बाजू मांडली.
नागपूर : विभाजनवादी आणि नकारात्मकतेच्या राजकारणाचा अंत करा आणि या निवडणुकीत भाजपला धडा शिकवा, असे आवाहन काँग्रेसच्या सरचिटणीस प्रियांका वद्रा यांनी बुधवारी केले.
प्रियांका वद्रा या पूर्व उत्तर प्रदेशच्या काँग्रेस प्रभारी असून, त्यांनी फतेहपूरमध्ये प्रचार करताना पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्यावर जोरदार टीका केली. त्या म्हणाल्या, ‘विभाजनवादी आणि नकारात्मक राजकारणाचा अंत करून, थेट तुमच्याविषयी, तुमच्या समस्यांविषयी बोलणाऱ्या राजकारणाला तुम्ही पाठिंबा दिला पाहिजे. लोकशाहीमध्ये जनतेच्या ताकदीपेक्षा अन्य कोणीही मोठे असू शकत नाही. त्यामुळे खोटे बोलणाऱ्या आणि तुमचे कोणतेही काम न करणाऱ्या नेत्यांना मत देऊ नका. भाजपचे राजकारण तळागाळातील जनतेचे राजकारण नाही. त्यांचा सामान्य नागरिकांशी काहीही संबंध नाही आणि ते केवळ हवेतील गप्पा मारतात. त्यांना तुम्ही धडा शिकवा.’
लोकशाही कमकुवत करण्याचा प्रयत्न असून, सरकारविरोधात बोलणाऱ्यांची दडपशाही सुरू आहे, असे सांगताना प्रियांका यांनी एका महिलेचे उदाहरण दिले. त्याविषयी त्या म्हणाल्या, ‘वेतन न मिळालेल्या एका शिक्षिकेची माझी भेट झाली. वेतनासाठी तिने आंदोलन केले असता, तिला मारहाण करण्यात आली आणि तुरुंगात पाठविण्यात आले. तिच्याविरोधात राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा कायद्याखाली गुन्हा नोंदविण्यात आला आहे. वेतन मागणाऱ्या महिलेवर एवढ्या गंभीर गुन्ह्याची नोंद होते, ही गोष्ट विचारात घ्या. वाराणसीमध्ये एक तरुण भेटला, त्यालाही आंदोलन केल्यामुळे मारहाण करण्यात आली. ही लोकशाही आहे का?’
‘पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी कायम माझ्या कुटुंबाविषयी बोलत असतात. त्यांच्या ४५ टक्के भाषणांमध्ये नेहरूंनी काय केले, इंदिरा गांधी यांनी काय केले, असेच प्रश्न होते. मात्र, गेल्या पाच वर्षांमध्ये काय केले, हे मोदी काहीच सांगत नाही,’ यावरही त्यांनी बोट ठेवले.
नागपूर : देहव्यापार प्रकरणात जामीन मिळवून देणे व कारवाई न करण्यासाठी १५ हजार रुपयांची लाच घेणारा रजत सुभाष ठाकूर (२९, म्हाडा कॉलनी) सीताबर्डी पोलिस स्टेशनमधून पसार झाला आहे. फरार झालेला हा युवक अद्याप लाचलुचपत प्रतिबंधक खात्याच्या हाती लागलेला नाही. त्यामुळे एसीबीचे अधिकारी आणि कर्मचारी हैराण झाले आहे. या युवकाला शोधण्यासाठी नागपूर, मूर्तिजापूर, अमरावती, नागपूर ग्रामीण भागात विभागाची पथके रवाना झाली आहेत. या घटनेने पोलिस व लाचलुचपत प्रतिबंधक विभागात खळबळ उडाली आहे.
सुमारे दोन महिन्यांपूर्वी सामाजिक सुरक्षा विभागाच्या पथकाने बेलतरोडी भागातील हायप्रोफाइल देहव्यापार अड्ड्यावर छापा टाकून २६ वर्षीय महिलेच्या पतीला अटक केली होती. याप्रकरणात तो कारागृहात आहे. त्याला जामीन मिळवून देण्यासाठी तसेच पुढे कारवाई न करण्यासाठी व पोलिसांना ‘सेट’ करण्यासाठी रजतने ८० हजार रुपयांची मागणी त्याच्या पत्नीकडे केली होती. सामाजिक सुरक्षा विभागातील हेडकॉन्स्टेबल मिश्रा हा परिचयाचा असल्याचेही त्याने महिलेला सांगितले. महिलेने एवढी रक्कम देण्यास नकार दिला. त्यानंतर ‘५० हजार रुपयांमध्ये काम करून देतो, पहिला हप्ता १५ हजार रुपये द्यावा लागेल’, असे त्याने महिलेला सांगितले. महिलेने लाचलुचपत प्रतिबंधक विभागाकडे तक्रार केली.

Nagpur : A new bomb has been found in Colombo, three days after suicide blasts killed over 300 and injured 500 people in Sri Lanka, news agency Reuters reported.
Three churches and four hotels were hit by suicide bombers on Sunday morning, killing 321 people and wounding 500, sending shockwaves through an island state that has been relatively peaceful since a civil war ended a decade ago.
The attack was claimed by ISIS on Tuesday. Sri Lanka had earlier named a local Islamist group, National Thowheeth Jama’ath, as the chief suspect, for the incident act that has sparked international outrage.

Nagpur : A group of sand-mafia on Tuesday attempted to kill three officials of Revenue Department including a Naib Tehsildar in Nandanvana area. According to police, Naib Tehsildar Sunil Salwe, Circle Officers H P Maliye (Sitabuldi) and Mukunda Madavi (Pardi) were conducting a special drive against illegal transportation of sand in Nandanvan area in the morning hours. The officials stopped two trucks (MH-40/AK-8056 and MH-36/F-4157) at Wathoda Ring Road and shot the video of the trucks. When they asked the truck drivers for royalty papers and driving licenses, the drivers picked up a quarrel with them. Meanwhile, a Mercedes MH-41/AA-8100) car came behind and stopped near the trucks.
The car driver suddenly accelerated the car and attempted to mow down the officials on-duty. However, the officials managed to save themselves. The car again returned to the spot and asked the truck drivers to move away from the spot without showing any papers to the officials. The Revenue Department officials claimed that the occupants in the car were sand-mafia and they created scene at the spot. The car driver with the occupants fled towards Pardi after some time. The officials also tried to chase the car but driver successfully managed to flee the spot. A police official said that the car was registered in the name of one Kavita.
The officials then reached Nandanvan Police Station and lodge a complaint. Nandanvan police are investigating the case. Whilte taking serious cognisance, District Collector Ashwin Mudgal directed the officials to register a police complaint while asserting that such attacks against government staffers would not be tolerated. He promised stern action against the sand-mafia and resolved to continue the crackdown against illegal sand mining.
Nagpur : THE Samajwadi Party has fielded Shalini Yadav as the joint candidate of the SP-BSP alliance in Varanasi to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha elections. A light-weight candidate, Shalini Yadav has unsuccessfully contested the Mayoral polls in Varanasi on a Congress ticket in 2017. Shalini Yadav is the daughter of former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Shyamlal Yadav.
Samajwadi Party sources said that none of the senior party leaders in the region were willing to contest against the Prime Minister and the party then decided to field Shalini Yadav who joined the party on Monday evening. “I will work to the best of my abilities under the guidance of Akhilesh Yadav and try to wrest the seat from the BJP.
The youth is on our side and nothing is impossible if you make the effort,” she told reporters. The Varanasi seat had been won by Murli Manohar Joshi in 2009 and became a VIP seat in 2014 when Narendra Modi defeated his nearest rival Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Aadmi Party by a huge margin of over 3.75 lakh votes. Polling in Varanasi will be held in the last phase of elections on May 19.
नागपूर : राज्यात लोकसभा निवडणुकांचा चौथा आणि शेवटचा टप्पा पुढील आठवड्यात पार पडणार असून यात प्रामुख्याने मुंबई आणि ठाण्यालगतच्या दहा लोकसभा मतदारसंघांचा समावेश आहे. त्यामुळे राज्यात प्रचार करणारे शिवसेना पक्षप्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी रविवारपासून या मतदारसंघांच्या रणनीतीसाठी विभागप्रमुख आणि महत्त्वाच्या पदाधिकाऱ्यांच्या बैठका घ्यायला सुरुवात केली आहे. ‘राज्यात युतीच्या बाजूने जोरदार वातावरण असून मुंबई आणि ठाण्यात जराही दगाफटका होता कामा नये,’ असे उद्धव ठाकरे या बैठकांमधून पदाधिकाऱ्यांना बजावत असल्याचे कळते.
मंगळवार २३ एप्रिल रोजी तिसऱ्या टप्प्यातील मतदान पार पडले असून आता राज्यात चौथ्या आणि शेवटच्या टप्प्यात २९ एप्रिल रोजी १७ मतदारसंघात मतदान होणार आहे. यापैकी दक्षिण मुंबई, दक्षिण मध्य मुंबई, ईशान्य मुंबई, वायव्य मुंबई, उत्तर मुंबई, उत्तर मध्य मुंबई, पालघर, भिवंडी, कल्याण, ठाणे आदी दहा मतदारसंघांचा समावेश आहे. यातील सहा मतदारसंघ शिवसेना लढवत आहे. त्यामुळे या मतदारसंघांतील शेवटच्या प्रचाराची रणनीती ठरविण्यासाठी उद्धव ठाकरे यांच्या उपस्थितीत गेल्या तीन दिवसांपासून ‘मातोश्री’वर बैठका पार पडत आहेत.
राज्यभराचा दौरा करून आलेले उद्धव ठाकरे, राज्यात सर्वत्र युतीच्या बाजूने वातावरण असून मुंबई आणि ठाण्यातही कोणताही दगाफटका होता कामा नये यासाठी पदाधिकाऱ्यांना बजावत आहेत. शेवटच्या टप्प्यात कोणाशी बोलले पाहिजे, कोणाची नाराजी असल्यास ती दूर केली पाहिजे, याची सविस्तर चर्चा करीत असल्याचे कळते. काँग्रेस तसेच मनसेची नाकाबंदी करण्यासाठी आवश्यक त्या सूचनाही देत असल्याचे कळते.

Nagpur : With mercury soaring to 42.5 degree Celsius again in Nagpur, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heat wave warning between April 26 to April 28 in the city and nearby areas. The maximum temperature has increased by three notches in the last 72 hours and is likely to move upwards in the days to come as well.
According to met officials, weather will remain dry and mercury is set to increase by a few notches in the next few days. Heat wave warning has been issued for Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur and Akola. Summer has begun to show its mark in the Orange City and heat wave in the coming three days is likely to make city hotter.
A few days back, Nagpur touched 44.1 degree Celsius while Chandrapur emerged hottest place in the region with 45.1 degree Celsius. However, a spell of untimely rains and thunderstorm brought some relief from the blistering heat. Over the last few days the mercury was hovering below 40 degree Celsius mark. But, in the last three days it has moved upward once again, making days hotter and uncomfortable. Met officials said the western disturbance which was causing rains in the city has weakened. As a result, the temperature is increasing in the city. The next few days are likely to be more uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, number of patients in the isolation ward of the government hospitals, set up for the heat stroke patients, has increased over the last 72 hours. Cases of patients suffering from cold and cough too have increased in the city due to sudden rise in the mercury after rains.
नागपूर : भंडारा मार्गावरील महालगाव कापसी येथील प्लास्टिक कारखान्यात मंगळवारी सकाळी लागलेल्या आगीत मोठया प्रमाणात प्लास्टिकचे साहित्य जळून खाक झाले. कारखान्यायाशेजारी असलेल्या डीपीतून शॉर्टसर्किटमुळे ही आग लागल्याची शक्यता व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे. या आगीत जवळपास ५० लाखांचे नुकसान झाल्याचा अंदाज व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे.
श्रीराम प्लास्टिक असे या कारखान्याचे नाव आहे. या कारखान्यात टाकावू प्लास्टिकपासून प्लास्टिक चिप तयार करण्यात येत होती. सतराम पारवानी यांच्या मालकीचा हा कारखाना होता. सोमवारी रात्री या कारखान्यातील मजूर काम करून निघून गेले. त्यानंतर सकाळी कारखान्यात असणाऱ्या चौकीदाराला ही आग दिसली. त्याने लगेच ही माहिती कारखाना मालक व संबंधितांना दिली. अग्निशमन विभागाला याची माहिती मिळताच सुगतनगर, लकडगंज, सक्करदरा आणि सिव्हिल लाइन्स स्थानकातून दोन वॉटर ब्रॉऊजर्स आणि पाण्याचे चार बंब रवाना करण्यात आले. त्यानंतर आग विझविण्यास सुरुवात झाली. दुपारी २ वाजेपर्यंत ही आग जवळपास आटोक्यात आली. परंतु, प्लास्टिकचा कारखाना असल्याने आग भडकू नये म्हणून घटनास्थळावर दोन बंब ठेवण्यात आले होते. या कारखान्याशेजारी दुसरे कारखाने नसल्याने तसेच मोकळे मैदान असल्याने, रहिवासी भाग दूर असल्याने आगीचे स्वरूप सीमित झले. या आगीनंतर अग्निशमन दलाच्या पथकाने केलेल्या कार्यामुळे किमान १५ लाखांचे नुकसान वाचल्याची माहिती आहे.
गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून वाढत्या तापमानानंतर शहर व शहराबाहेर आग लागण्याचे प्रमाण वाढत आहे. शहरापेक्षा शहराबाहेरील घटनांची संख्या जास्त आहे. त्यामुळे अग्निशमन पथकाला सजग राहावे लागत आहे. उन्हाळ्यातच आगीच्या घटना वाढत असल्याने कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या सुट्याही रद्द करण्यात आल्या आहेत. उपमुख्य अग्निशमन अधिकारी बी. पी. चंदनखेडे यांच्या नेतृत्वात पथकाने ही कारवाई केली.
Nagpur : ACTOR Sunny Deol was on Tuesday fielded by the BJP as its candidate from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab hours after he joined the party, while sitting MP from Chandigarh Kirron Kher was renominated from the Union Territory. The party has nominated Som Prakash as its candidate from Hoshiarpur in Punjab in place of Union Minister Vijay Sampla. With the announcement of these three candidates, the party has declared its nominees for 437 seats, the highest number of Lok Sabha constituencies it has contested so far. Sunny Deol, 62, who has played the lead role in blockbusters such as ‘Ghayal’, ‘Gadar’ and ‘Border’ joined the BJP on Tuesday in the presence of Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.
The development came days after he met BJP President Amit Shah in Pune. “The way my father (film star Dharmendra) was attached with Atalji, today I have come to join Modiji. Whatever I can do for this family (BJP), I will do it. I won’t talk, I will show you through my work,” Deol said while addressing the media at the Bharatiya Janata Party office here. Deol is the second member of the family after his step mother Hema Malini, the BJP candidate renominated from Mathura, to be given ticket by the party in this election. His father Dharmendra was BJP MP from Bikaner in 2004.
Deol will take on Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar from Gurdaspur, which was in the past represented by the late actor Vinod Khanna from the BJP. Welcoming Deol into the party, Sitharaman said, “The moment we got to know that he is coming to the party, I can only relate to the film Border he had made, post which the impact on the Indian audience of such a theme was really proven.

New Delhi: In a “candid and completely non political” conversation with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he never thought of becoming Prime Minister because there was nothing in his background that could make him think like that.
Common people do not believe in such things, he said adding that thoughts (like being the Prime Minister one day) could only come to those who belong to a particular family with backgrounds.
“But my family background is one like if I would have got a good job, my mother would have distributed jaggery to the neighbours because we never thought beyond that. We never saw anything outside our village.
“This journey just started and the country accepted me. Responsibilities also came to me automatically. As per my personal view, this (becoming Prime Minister) is unnatural because my life and world does not fit in current political atmosphere.
“I always wonder how the country loves me and gives me so much,” Modi told Akshay in an interaction at his 7 Lok Kalyan Marg residence.
There was a time, Modi said he believed he would either turn out to be a “sanyasi” (hermit) or serve the army.
The actor also asked Modi about his daily routine, besides his responsibilities, his love for mangoes and his sleep schedule.
Kumar started off asking the Prime Minister about his epic love for mangoes. Modi got all nostalgic and told him about how he used to enjoy mangoes as a child. However, now as the Prime Minister he has to be careful and needs to keep a tab on his diet.

Nagpur : After passage of one year of ground-breaking ceremony of city’s first waste-to-energy plant, the project is yet to take-off. Nagpur Solid Waste Processing and Management (NSWPMPL), a company incorporated by EIL (Essel Group), was expected to develop the project with an investment of over Rs 219 crore with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). The bhoomipujan was performed with much fanfare in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal in July last year and hitherto nothing has moved.
The company was supposed to start its functioning within two years. Apart from the investment by company, NMC was to contribute Rs 70 crore. Presently a total of 1,200 tonnes of waste is dumped in Bhandewadi everyday. Out of the total dumping, 800 tonnes was to be used under this project to convert it into energy. As per the agreement the company was to operate and maintain the plant for 13 years and would ensure air and ground water pollution. Under the project, Company was to generate 11.5 MW power from 800 tonnes of garbage. It was to earn its revenue from Maharashtra Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This would have added to the total power kitty of Nagpur city had the project been started.
What would happen if the project won’t take off. A very senior official from Urban Development department on condition of anonymity said if a project remain a non-starter then the ranking of Nagpur done by Swachh Sarvekshan Survey would lower down further as the marks for waste to energy project would be deducted. It is noted that Nagpur ranks 55 out of 500 cities of the country surveyed in 2018. The survey is done every year.
नागपुर : नागनदी प्रदूषण निर्मूलन प्रकल्प’ विकास प्रारूप के लिए राष्ट्रीय नदी संरक्षण निदेशालय (एनआरसीडी) द्वारा 1252.33 करोड़ रुपए की मान्यता मिली है। इस प्रकल्प के लिए जापान की वित्तीय संस्था ‘जिका’ आर्थिक सहायता करेगी। इस बाबत 28 नवंबर 2018 को ‘जिका’ (जापान इंटरनेशनल को-ऑपरेशन एजेंसी) और मनपा में करार पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं। प्रकल्प संदर्भ में मंगलवार को ‘जिका’ मुख्यालय की दक्षिण एशिया विभाग-1 के (भारत, भूटान) के उपसहायक संचालक झावझा अंग व कोयामा हरूका ने मनपा आयुक्त अभिजीत बांगर से चर्चा की। ‘नागनदी प्रदूषण निर्मूलन प्रकल्प’ नियोजन कार्य के क्रियान्वयन संदर्भ में ‘जिका’ द्वारा निप्पॉन कोई इंजीनियरिंग कंस्ल्टेंट की नियुक्ति की गई है। इस टीम का 9 जनवरी से मनपा में कार्य शुरू है। इस कार्य की भी प्रतिनिधियों ने समीक्षा की है।

नागपूर : वाडी येथे पो.स्टे. समोर अमरावती महामार्गावर ट्रक अपघातात मंगळवार (२३ एप्रिल) रोजी एका तरुणीचा जागीच मृत्यु झाला. पूजा ओमप्रकाश तिवारी वय 28 वर्षे नवनित नगर असे मृत पावलेल्या तरुणीचे नाव आहे. ती आपल्या होन्डा एक्टिवा या ‘टू व्हिलर’ने कामावर जात असताना हा अपघात झाला.

ट्रक चालक शिवलाल रामप्रसाद शिंदे (३०) टाकळखेड चिखली बुलढाणा रहिवासी याला वाडी पोलिसांनी अटक केली आहे. घटनेचा तपास पोलिस निरिक्षक राजेंद्र पाठक व त्यांची चमू करीत आहे. या घटनेमुळे वाडी परिसरात हळहळ व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
