नवी दिल्ली : सरकारनं टेलिकॉम कंपन्यांना सद्य मोबाईल फोन ग्राहकांना किंवा नवं सिमकार्ड घेण्यासाठी आधार ई-केवायसी (e-KYC) लिंक करणं बंद करण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत. सुप्रीम कोर्टाच्या आदेशानंतर सरकारकडून शुक्रवारी हे निर्देश जारी करण्यात आलेत. सर्वोच्च न्यायालयानं गेल्या महिन्यात दिलेल्या एका महत्ताच्या निर्णयात खाजगी कंपन्यांना आधारचा वापर बंद करण्याचे आदेश दिले होते. न्यायालयाच्या आदेशाचं पालन करत दूरसंचार विभागानं दूरसंचार कंपन्यांसाठी विस्तृत दिशानिर्देश जारी केलेत.
यानुसार, विशिष्ट ओळख संख्येच्या (आधार) माध्यमातून ‘आपल्या ग्राहकांची ओळख’ (ई-केवायसी) चा वापर थांबवण्याचे आदेश देण्यात आलेत. सोबतच कंपन्यांना या आदेशाच्या अनुपालनाचा अहवाल ५ नोव्हेंबरपर्यंत देण्यासही सांगण्यात आलंय. दूरसंचार विभागानं दिलेल्या आदेशानुसार, जर ग्राहकांनी नव्या कनेक्शनसाठी स्वेच्छेनं आधार दिलं तर त्याचा वापर ओळखपत्राच्या रुपात केला जाऊ शकेल. म्हणजेच, ऑफलाईन त्याचा वापर करता येऊ शकेल. परंतु, आधारची सक्ती मात्र ग्राहकांना केली जाऊ शकत नाही.
New Delhi : Nearly a month after quitting the Nationalist Congress Party, Tariq Anwar Saturday joined the Congress after meeting its chief Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.
Anwar along with his supporters met Gandhi at his Tughlaq Lane residence and was welcomed into the party fold.
The former MP from Katihar Lok Sabha constituency would make a formal announcement of his joining the Congress party later in the day.
Anwar announced he was quitting the NCP and was also giving up his Lok Sabha membership on September 28 after Sharad Pawar’s “defence” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Rafale fighter jet deal. Pawar was quoted in the media as having given a clean chit to Modi on the deal.
Pawar, however, had clarified he was misquoted in the reports and he had given no such clean chit to Modi.
New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the Appointment of Shri Sanjay Mishra to the post of Principal Special Director, Enforcement Directorate in the pay level 16.

Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and MahaMetro are planning a new road to divert traffic while the stretch in front of Futala lake is closed for redevelopment The new road will connect Bharat Nagar Square on Amravati Road to Telangkhedi Hanuman at the office of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP).
City MP and union minister Nitin Gadkari had planned the Rs112 crore Futala Lake Redevelopment Project with 4,000 capacity viewers’ gallery and space for restaurants and parking opposite the lake, with a tunnel replacing the existing road.
To begin execution of the proposed project, Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) on Thursday demolished restaurants in front of the lake.
MahaMetro officials said, the road in front of the lake is likely to be closed for around a year for the project. “NMC has identified a road to connect Bharat Nagar Square with Telangkhedi Hanuman Mandir Road. The road is reserved in city’s development plan (DP). Therefore, we plan to develop this road as an alternative to Futala Lake road. The new road will help diverting some traffic from Futala Lake road,” he said.
The MahaMetro plan says the new 18 meter road will be developed and remain in place even after Futala Lake project is completed. It will be a cement concrete road. A road currently exists from Bharat Nagar Square till the compound wall of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV). The compound wall will be demolished to construct the new road. The new road will begin from the compound wall, and stretch 500 meter to join the road connecting Ravi Nagar Government Quarters to Telangkhedi Hanuman Mandir Temple at the MJP office.
MahaMetro officials said NMC has sent a letter to PDKV requesting advance possession of the land to commence construction as soon as possible. “NMC will take the land on lease from PDKV immediately. Later, PDKV will have to give the land anyway as it is a DP road,” he said.
Nagpur : After dengue cases crossed the 1,000-mark in Delhi this season, Nagpur too has 800 patients admitted in private and government hospitals in view of the vector borne disease.
As many as 50 residential doctors of Indira Gandhi Medical College were also reported to be suffering from dengue, which has startled many. Meanwhile, Health Ministry has issued an advisory, and also sought a response from the Dean of Indira Gandhi Medical College as to how the doctors were hit by the disease.
Everything is being checked, including coolers in the premises. This has to be made sure that water doesn’t collect near tanker, Doctor Sanjay Jaiswal of the Health Department said. According to a municipal report, dengue cases crossed the 1,000-mark in Delhi this season, with nearly 540 people being diagnosed with the vector-borne disease in October only.
Also, 411 cases of malaria and 109 of chikungunya have been reported this season till October 20, the report said. The report says at least 539 of the dengue cases came to light in the first three weeks of October, which accounts for over 52 per cent of the total cases reported this season.
Of the 1,020 dengue cases this year, 374 were recorded in September, 58 in August, 19 in July, eight in June, 10 in May, two in April, one in March, three in February and six in January. A senior doctor at a government-run facility advised people to take all precautions like wearing full-sleeves and not allowing the breeding of mosquito larvae inside their homes.
“Water coolers should be dried up when not in use as dengue infection carrying mosquitoes breed there a lot. Mosquito nets should be used at home,” the doctor said. The cases of vector-borne diseases are usually reported between July and November, but the period may stretch to mid-December. No vector-borne disease case was reported till January 13.

Earlier on Friday, an army soldier Rajendra Singh lost his life when protestors hurled stones at an Army vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir. Sepoy Singh was part of Quick Reaction Team that provided security to a Border Roads Organisation convoy. When the convoy was passing through Anantnag bypass tri-junction, few youths hurled stones at the vehicle and he was hit by a stone. He later succumbed to injuries.
Singh was hit on his head when unidentified individuals hurled stones at the QRT convoy that was passing through the Anantnag tri-junction. Singh, a resident of Badena village in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, had joined the Army in 2016.

Bhima-Koregaon case : A Pune sessions court Friday rejected the bail pleas of activists Vernon Gonsalves, Arun Ferreira and Sudha Bhardwaj, who were arrested in June in connection with the probe into Elgar Parishad and Bhima Koregaon violence. All three, who are accused of having Maoist links, are currently under house arrest which ends today.
Earlier, on September 28, the Supreme Court had rejected pleas to release the three along with Varavara Rao and Gautam Navlakha and extended their house arrest by four weeks.
Ruling on petitions by historian Romila Thapar and others, CJI Misra and Justice Khanwilkar had said that they had examined the material gathered by police during the investigation and were “of the considered opinion that it is not a case of arrest because of mere dissenting views expressed or difference in the political ideology of the named accused, but concerning their link with the members of the banned organisation and its activities”.
A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court will Friday examine Thapar’s review petition challenging the majority opinion of the apex court upholding their arrest by the Maharashtra police.

The US tech giant issued the statement from chief executive Sundar Pichai in response to a New York Times report that one senior Google employee, Android creator Andy Rubin, received an exit package worth $90 million as he faced allegations of misconduct, and that Google had covered up other claims of sexual harassment.
Asked by AFP and other media for its reaction, Google released an email sent to employees from Pichai stating that 48 people had been terminated for sexual harassment in the past two years, including 13 who were senior managers and above and that none received “an exit package.”
“In recent years, we’ve made a number of changes, including taking an increasingly hard line on inappropriate conduct by people in positions of authority,” Pichai said. He added that the report on Rubin and others “was difficult to read” but he did not directly address the claims in the article.

We want to assure you that we review every single complaint about sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct, we investigate and we take action. Sam Singer, a spokesman for Rubin, rejected the allegations against him in a statement to AFP, saying Rubin left Google of his own accord to launch venture capital firm and technology incubator Playground.
Rubin went on to found smartphone company Essential. The Android operating system, which Google makes available to device makers free of charge, powers about 85 percent of the world’s smartphones. The New York Times cited court documents and interviews while reporting that Rubin was one of three senior executives that Google has shielded in the past decade after complaints of inappropriate sexual behavior.
The Times cited two unnamed Google executives as saying that then-chief executive Larry Page asked for Rubin’s resignation after the company confirmed a complaint by a woman about a sexual encounter in a hotel in 2013.

Facebook announced a number of new features to further incorporate music into the user experience. In June, the company began rolling out Lip Sync Live, a function that allows users to live-stream sing-alongs to a number of popular tunes. The feature will now be available to all profiles and a number of countries around the world. Lyrics have also been added for a number of songs including Khalid’s “Better,” Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” and “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5.
Also launching is the ability for users to add music to photos and videos shared on Facebook Stories and News Feed. Those wishing to experiment with the feature need only to take a photo or video from the Facebook Camera, or grab one from their camera roll, then tap on the sticker icon and select the music sticker. Additionally, Facebook will be introducing a new music section on its platform, allowing users to add and pin songs onto their profiles.
Incorporating music tools into their platform has been a front-running initiative for Zuckerberg’s company since late last year. According to Bloomberg, the company is offering hundreds of millions of dollars to record labels and music publishers to allow its users to use songs in their videos. The negotiations have seemingly paid off. In July, Facebook-owned Instagram introduced the ability to add songs to photos and videos within Instagram Stories.
“Moments are remembered and accentuated with music,” said Tamara Hrivnak, Facebook’s Head of Music Business Development and Partnerships, in a press release, “and we can’t wait to see all the ways people around the world get creative with these features, make memories and have fun with friends and family.”
नागपूर : देशात व राज्यात रस्ते विकासाची कामे वेगात सुरु असून जूनपर्यंत मुख्यमंत्री ग्राम सडक योजनेंतर्गत 30 हजार किलोमीटरच्या रस्त्यांची कामे पूर्ण करण्यात येतील. यामध्ये 500 किलोमीटर रस्ते वर्धा जिल्ह्यातील असतील, असे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी सांगितले.
भारतीय राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग प्राधिकरण (रस्ते वाहतूक व महामार्ग मंत्रालय) यांच्या वतीने हिंगणघाट येथील टाका मैदान येथे वर्धा व यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यातील रस्ते विकासाच्या विविध कामांचे लोकार्पण व भूमिपूजन कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. यावेळी केंद्रीय परिवहनमंत्री नितीन गडकरी, केंद्रीय गृह राज्यमंत्री हंसराज अहिर, जिल्हा परिषदेचे अध्यक्ष नितीन मडावी, खासदार रामदास तडस, आमदार समीर कुणावार, आमदार अशोक उईके, आमदार राजू तोडसाम, आमदार डॉ. पंकज भोयर, आमदार डॉ. रामदास आंबटकर, नगराध्यक्ष प्रेम बसंतानी व अन्य मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी हिंगणघाट येथील 1.15कि.मी लांबीच्या रेल्वे उड्डाणपूलाचे, 29 कि मी लांबीच्या वडनेर ते देवधरी (रा.म 44) मार्गाचे चौपदरीकरण, 22कि.मी लांबीच्या केळापूर ते पिंपळखुटी मार्गाचे चौपदरीकरण (रा.म 44) या वर्धा व यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यातील पूर्ण झालेल्या कामांचे लोकार्पण मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. तसेच नांदगाव चौक येथील उड्डाणपूल, वर्धा ते हिंगणघाट मार्गाचे काँक्रीटसह दुपदरीकरण, सेलडोह सिंदी रेल्वे-सेवाग्राम पवनार मार्गाचे काँक्रीटसह दुपदरीकरण, वर्धा-आर्वी मार्गाचे काँक्रिटसह दुपदरीकरण, आर्वी ते तळेगाव मार्गाचे काँक्रीटसह दुपदरीकरण व चौपदरीकरण, तळेगाव गोनापूर मार्गाचे काँक्रीटसह दुपदरीकरण या कामांचे भूमिपूजन मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. हिंगणघाट विधानसभा मतदारसंघाचा कार्य अहवाल-डिजिटल विकास पुस्तिकेचे विमोचन मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले.
मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले, जिल्ह्याचे समग्र चित्र पालटते आहे. विविध योजनांची कामे जिल्ह्यात व हिंगणघाट येथेही वेगात सुरू आहेत. रस्ते विकासाच्या कामांचे लोकार्पण व भूमिपूजन होत आहे ही बाब हिंगणघाटवासियांसाठी तसेच वर्धा व यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यातील नागरिकांसाठी आनंददायी आहे. राज्यात महामार्गाची कामे प्रगतीपथावर आहेत. चार वर्षात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर कामे झाली आहेत. चार वर्षात वीस हजार किलोमीटरपर्यंत राष्ट्रीय महामार्गांची कामे झाली. 4 हजार किलोमीटर राज्य महामार्ग व 30 हजार किलोमीटरचे मुख्यमंत्री ग्रामसडक योजनेअंतर्गतच्या रस्त्यांची कामे हाती घेण्यात आली असून जूनपर्यंत 30 हजार किलोमीटरपर्यंतचे रस्ते मुख्यमंत्री ग्रामसडक योजनेअंतर्गत पूर्ण करण्यात येणार आहेत. यामध्ये पाचशे किलोमीटरचे रस्ते वर्धा जिल्ह्यातील आहेत. सिमेंट काँक्रीटच्या रस्त्यांमुळे अर्थव्यवस्थेला चालना मिळत असून रोजगार निर्मितीत वाढ होत असल्याचेही श्री. फडणवीस यांनी सांगितले.
मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले, 2014 पर्यंत राज्यात 50 लाख शौचालये होती. 2015 ते 2018 या तीन वर्षात 60 लाख शौचालये बांधण्यात आली. एकही व्यक्ती बेघर राहणार नाही असा निर्धार असून प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजनेअंतर्गत लाभार्थ्यांना घरे उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येत आहेत. जूनपर्यंत साडेदहा लाख कुटुंबांना घरे देण्याचा मानस असल्याचेही मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी सांगितले.
शेतीसंदर्भात मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले, अनेक संकटांवर मात करत शासन शेतकऱ्यांच्या पाठीशी सतत उभे आहे. राज्यात यंदा काही भागात पर्जन्यमान कमी झाले. 180 तालुक्यात दुष्काळसदृश परिस्थिती जाहीर करण्यात आली. शेतकऱ्यांना वेळोवेळी भरीव मदत देण्यात येत आहे. मात्र जलयुक्त शिवार अभियानाअंतर्गत जलसंधारणाच्या झालेल्या विविध कामांमुळे शेतकऱ्यांना लाभ झाल्याचे आढळून येत आहे. शेतकऱ्यांना 21 हजार कोटी रुपयांची मदत करण्यात आली, कर्जमाफी देण्यात आली. तीन वर्षात साडेआठ हजार कोटी रुपयांची धान्य खरेदी करण्यात आली. विदर्भातील सिंचन योजनांसाठी भरीव निधी उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आला असल्यामुळे शेतकरी आत्महत्या थांबतील. अमरावती येथील टेक्स्टाइल पार्कप्रमाणेच विदर्भात अन्यत्रही टेक्स्टाईल पार्कच्या उभारणीसाठी भरीव निधी उपलब्ध करुन देण्यात येईल. याद्वारे रोजगार निर्मितीलाही चालना मिळेल. सिंदी येथील ड्राय पोर्ट तसेच समृद्धी महामार्गामुळे विदर्भाचे चित्र पूर्णपणे पालटणार आहे. गावाच्या व शहराच्या विकासासाठीही भरीव निधी उपलब्ध करुन देण्यात येईल तसेच विदर्भातील नझुल जमिनींच्या संदर्भातील प्रश्न सोडविण्यात येणार असल्याचेही मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी सांगितले.
केंद्रीय परिवहनमंत्री नितीन गडकरी म्हणाले, वर्धा येथील विविध विकास कामांसाठी पॅकेज जाहीर करण्यात आले. त्यानुसार कामे सुरू झाली व काही कामे पूर्ण झाली आहेत. देशात रस्ते विकासाची विविध कामे प्रगतीपथावर आहेत. वर्धा ते तुळजापूर चार पदरी रस्ता होत असून विविध विकासकामे साकारताना ती पारदर्शक व दर्जेदार करण्यात येत आहेत. हिंगणघाट येथील रेल्वे उड्डाणपुलाचे महत्त्वाचे काम पूर्ण झाले असून जांब येथे उड्डाणपूल बांधण्यास मंजुरी देण्यात आली आहे. देशात व राज्यात सर्वच क्षेत्रात समतोल विकास साधण्यावर भर देण्यात येत आहे.
स्थानिक युवकांना रोजगार प्राप्त होण्यासाठी सिंदी ड्रायपोर्ट उभारण्यात येत आहे. याद्वारे आयात निर्यातीस चालना मिळणार आहे. येथे ब्रॉडगेज रेल्वेचे डबे बनविण्याचा कारखाना उभारण्यात येईल. शेतकरी आत्महत्या रोखण्यासाठी राज्याची सिंचनक्षमता 50 टक्क्यांवर नेण्याचा मानस असून जलयुक्त शिवार अभियान राज्यासाठी अतिशय महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरले आहे. 108 सिंचन प्रकल्प पूर्ण करण्यासाठी भरीव निधी उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आला असून याद्वारे सिंचनक्षमता नक्कीच वाढेल. राज्यात ब्रिज कम बंधाऱ्यांची कामेही वेगात सुरू आहेत. अमरावतीप्रमाणेच विदर्भात अन्य ठिकाणीही टेक्स्टाईल झोन उभारणारण्यासाठी भरीव निधी उपलब्ध करुन दिला जाईल, असेही केंद्रीय परिवहनमंत्री श्री. गडकरी यांनी सांगितले.

‘हाऊसफुल्ल- 4’ या चित्रपटामागील शुक्लकाष्ट काही संपताना दिसत नाही. अभिनेता नाना पाटेकर व दिग्दर्शक साजिद खान यांच्यावर लैंगिक अत्याचाराचे आरोप झाल्यानंतर त्यांनी या चित्रपटातून माघार घेतली. त्यानंतर पुन्हा सुरू झालेल्या शूटींगच्या वेळी आणखी एक धक्कादायक प्रकार गुरुवारी रात्री सेटवर घडला. सेटवर गाण्याचे शूटींग सुरू असताना तिथे जबरदस्ती घुसलेल्या सहा जणांनी महिला डान्सरची छेड काढली. याप्रकरणी गुरुवारी रात्री 11.30 च्या सुमारास जवळपास 100 डान्सरनी आंबोली पोलीस ठाण्यात जाऊन तक्रार नोंदवली.
गुरुवारी मुंबईतील चित्रकुट स्टुडिओमध्ये हाऊसफुल्ल-4 चे शूटींग सुरू होते. सेटवर अक्षय कुमार, बॉबी देओल आणि रितेश देशमुख देखील उपस्थित होते. त्यावेळी अचानक सहा तरुण जबरदस्तीने सेटवर घुसले व त्यांनी एका महिला डान्सरची छेड काढायला सुरुवात केली. यावेळी इतर महिला डान्सरनी त्यांना अडवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला तर त्यांनी त्यांचा देखील विनयभंग केला. त्यानंतर सर्व डान्सरनी याप्रकरणी आंबोली पोलीस ठाण्यात तक्रार दाखल केली. छेड काढणाऱ्यांमधील दोघांची ओळख पटली असून पवन शेट्टी व सागर अशी त्या दोघांची नावे आहेत.
हाऊसफुल्ल-4 या चित्रपटाच्या पहिल्या शेड्युलचे शूटींग पार पडले आहे. याच दरम्यान अभिनेत्री तनुश्री दत्ताने नाना पाटेकर यांच्यावर लैंगिक छळ केल्याचा आरोप केला तसेच या चित्रपटाचा दिग्दर्शक साजिद खानवर देखील अशाच प्रकारचे आरोप काही महिलांनी केले. त्यानंतर या दोघांनीही हा चित्रपट सोडण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. या चित्रपटात अक्षय कुमार, बॉबी देओल आणि रितेश देशमुख, क्रिती सेनॉन हे मुख्य भूमिकेत दिसणार आहेत.
नागपुर : पुलिस और कोर्ट में काम कैसे होते हैं, ये हर भारतीय अच्छे से जानता है। सालों साल केस चलते हैं। लेकिन नागपुर की एक सत्र न्यायालय इन दिनों इसलिए चर्चा का विषय बनी हुई है, क्योंकि सत्र न्यायालय ने पांच दिन के अंदर फैसला सुनाकर बाकी अदालतों के लिए एक बेहतरीन उदाहरण पेश किया है।
दरअसल, नागपुर रेलवे स्टेशन के फ्लाईओवर के बगल में एक रात्र आश्रय केंद्र है, जहां 18 अक्टूबर की दोपहर में लालचंद गजभिये से मारपीट करके निलेश पोटफोडे नाम के एक चोर ने उनका मोबाइल चुरा लिया। सीताबर्डी पुलिस ने निलेश को तुरंत गिरफ्तार करके उसके खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कर ली और अगले दिन यानी कि 19 अक्टूबर को नागपुर के जिला सत्र न्यायालय में आरोपी के खिलाफ चार्जशीट दाखिल कर दी।
नागपुर की जिला सत्र ने तुरंत इस केस की सुनवाई करते हुए दूसरे दिन आरोपी के खिलाफ आरोप तय कर दिए। 20 और 21 अक्टूबर को न्यायालय की छुट्टी थी। इस कारण से 22, 23 और 24 अक्टूबर को 9 गवाहों के बयान दर्ज करते हुए आरोपी की खिलाफ जांच की गई और 24 तारीख को आरोपी निलेश को कोर्ट ने दोषी पाया और उसे दो साल की जेल की सजा सुनाई।
इस मामले में न केवल पुलिस बल्कि वकील, गवाह और अदालत ने अपना काम बहुत अच्छे अथवा तेजी से करते हुए आरोपी को जेल तक पहुंचाया। इसी कारण बचाव पक्ष के वकील ने भी इस पूरे मामले को लेकर अपनी संतुष्टि व्यक्त की। कोर्ट और पुलिस के द्वारा किए गए इस कार्य की पूरे शहर में सराहना हो रही है।

Pooja Dhanda defeated Grace Bullen of Norway 10-7 at the Papp László Sportaréna to join Bajrang Punia on the exalted list of World Championships medallists I’m 2018.
Before Pooja, only three Indian women grapplers — Alka Tomar in 2006, Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat in 2012 — had won a bronze medal each at the Worlds Championships.

Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) demolished the kiosks, mostly selling pizza, ice cream and other food varieties near Futala lake after Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court rejected plea of the shop owners to grant stay on demolition.
NIT will now install a musical fountain at Futala lake while Maha Metro will construct a tunnel and viewers gallery on the land of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeth (PDKV). Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has sanctioned Rs 200 crore for the tunnel and viewers gallery from Central Road Funds (CRF).
Hundreds of youths, nearby residents gathered at the lake to see the kiosks brought to ground by the JCB machines.

नागपुर : उपराजधनीतच नव्हे तर संपूर्ण राज्याला हादरवून सोडणाऱ्या कांबळे दुहेरी हत्याकांड प्रकरणात नागपूर जिल्हा सत्र न्यायालयाने महत्वाचा निर्णय दिला. अल्पवयीन कायद्यात संशोधन झाल्यानंतर न्यायालयाने हत्याकांडातील अल्पवयीन आरोपीविरुद्धचा खटला बाल न्यायालयात न चालविता सत्र न्यायालयात चालवावा, असे महत्वपूर्ण निर्देश दिले आहेत.
शहरात १७ फेब्रुवारी २०१८ ला सायंकाळी ७ च्या दरम्यान एका हत्याकांडाची घटना घडली होती. ५४ वर्षीय उषाताई सेवकदास कांबळे आणि त्यांची दीड वर्षीय नात राशी कांबळेचा अत्यंत क्रूरतेने ह्त्या करण्यात आली होती. नंतर आरोपींनी त्यांचा मृतदेह तागाच्या पोत्यात भरून विहीरगांव येथील नाल्यात फेकून दिले होते.
तपासादरम्यान आरोपी गणेश शाहू, त्याची पत्नी गुडिया शाहू आणि नातेवाईक अंकित शाहू तसेच एक अल्पवयीन बालक यांचा यात समावेश असल्याचे आढळून आले. या चौघांपैकी १ आरोपी अल्पवयीन होता. गुन्ह्याच्या वेळी त्या बालकाचे वय १७ वर्ष ८ महिने २१ दिवस असल्यामुळे त्याचेविरुध्द दोषारोपपत्र बाल न्यायमंडळ, नागपूर यांचेकडे दाखल करण्यात आले आणि उर्वरित ३ आरोपींविरुध्द दोषारोपपत्र प्रथम श्रेणी न्यायदंडाधिकारी यांचे न्यायालयात दाखल करण्यात आले होते. सध्या प्रकरण सत्र न्यायालयात प्रलंबित आहे. वरील ४ आरोपींनी केलेले कृत्य भयंकर दुष्ट स्वरुपाच्या गुन्ह्यात मोडते.
वास्तविक अल्पवयीन बालकाने केलेले कृत्य अगदी निंदनीय आणि भयंकर दुष्ट स्वरुपाचे आहे. त्याने इतर सज्ञान आरोपींसोबत कट कारस्थान करुन आजी आणि तिच्या नातीचा अत्यंत निर्घुणपणे खून केलेला आहे. त्यामुळे त्या अल्पवयीन बालकाविरुध्द फौजदारी न्यायालयात खटला चालविणे आणि त्याला कठोर ती शिक्षा व्हावी हे क्रमप्राप्त आहे. निर्भयानंतर मुंबई येथील शक्ती मिल्स बलात्कार प्रकरण जुलै २०१३, हातिगाव बलात्कार सप्टेंबर २०१३, मयूर विहार खून प्रकरण नोव्हेंबर २०१३, चंदिगड अपहरण आणि खून प्रकरण एप्रिल २०१५, दिल्ली येथील मर्सिडीज हिट अन्ड रन प्रकरण जुलै २०१६, झाबुआ खून प्रकरण मार्च २०१७ अशा घटना घडल्या.
या सर्व घटनातील बहुतांशी आरोपी हे वय वर्ष १६ ते १८ च्या वयोगटातील होते. प्रत्येक वेळी कायद्याने अशा आरोपींना जास्तीत जास्त शिक्षा होवू शकत नाही त्यामुळे विद्यमान सरकारने दिनांक ३१ डिसेंबर २०१५ रोजी बाल न्याय (मुलांची काळजी व संरक्षण) अधिनियम २००० यात सुधारणा करुन वय वर्ष १६ ते १८ या वयोगटातील आरोपींना त्यांनी केलेले भयंकर दुष्ट गुन्हे म्हणून धरण्यात यावे आणि त्यांचे विरुध्दचे फौजदारी खटले वयस्क या संज्ञेत धरुन फौजदारी न्यायालयात खटले चालवून कठोर ती शिक्षा देण्याचे प्रावधान करण्यात आले. म्हणूनच कांबळे दुहेरी हत्याकांड प्रकरणातील अल्पवयीन आरोपीच्या विरोधात खटला बाल न्यायालयात न चालविता अल्पवयीन आरोपी ला सज्ञान गृहीत धरुन त्याच्या विरोधात सत्र न्यायालयात खटला चालवावा, असा महत्वपूर्ण आदेश महाराष्ट्रात प्रथमच नागपूर जिल्हा सत्र न्यायायाधीश वि. बी. कुलकर्णी यांनी दिला आहे.

The film, starring Sunny Deol and Sakshi Tanwar, was recently finally passed for release. The film will hit the theatres on 16 November.
The story of the film takes place at the famous Assi Ghat of the Ganga river in Benares (Varanasi). Dharmnath Pandey (Deol) is a staunch Hindu priest and a Sanskrit teacher. Even though Ganga is polluted, it is still pure for Pandey and cannot stand anyone insulting it. The film also explores the dark activities carried out in Benares in the name of “Indian culture”.
Although the film was made a few years ago, it looks timely only because it deals with the Babri Masjid issue of Ayodhya. Hindutva fundamentalists and some politicians have been wanting to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya ever since BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leader Lal Krishna Advani started the movement for it in the early 1990s. It would be interesting to know if the film takes any sides. But other than this, the boldness of the trailer looks manufactured. The utterance of one cuss word, used repeatedly, looks forced.
Deol looks like a traditional priest, but isn’t completely convincing when it comes to dialogue delivery. Ravi Kishan, Sakshi Tanwar and Saurabh Shukla’s acts look promising though.

Globally one in every 10,000 children is hearing impaired and one in every 1,000 new-born or children born out of high-risk pregnancy can suffer permanent deafness. Child should be screened for hearing ability immediately after birth and treatment started from second or third month after birth. It is essential that one should intervene between the ages of 1 to 5 or else the child will be deaf and a mute lifelong. Hence screening and timely surgery is crucial to bring that child back to mains stream.

Will Amitabh Bachchan’s 2019 sports biopic Jhund be shelved because #MeToo has now named its director Nagraj Manjule? That’s what Bollywood trade sources are asking. Mr. Bachchan is supposed to play football coach Vijay Barse of Nagpur who founded Slum Soccer, the organization that takes Indian kids for the Homeless World Cup every year.
This is a football tournament that brings together over 500 players representing more than 50 countries that have faced social marginalization. The 2018 Homeless World Cup is taking place in Mexico City from November 13 to 18. Barse’s Slum Soccer organizes a nationwide football tournament from which promising young Indian talent is selected for the Homeless World Cup every year.
For Jhund, in which Mr. Bachchan plays the coach who channelizes street kids to build a football team, a 45 days’ shoot was planned in Nagpur. He would meet the street kids and do rehearsals with them before the shoot. Nagraj wanted the look and feel to be as authentic as possible. “The language of the film would be best showcased in Nagpur hence I chose the lanes of that city,” he explained.
That was then, before Nagraj got called out by his ex-wife Sunita for domestic abuse, physical and mental torture. The director of the Marathi super-hit Sairat had also said that working with Mr. Bachchan would be a dream come true. “He has always been my favourite legend and there was nobody other than him who fit the role of Vijay Barse perfectly,” Nagraj had said.
Jhund was road blocked earlier when the original producers backed out of their commitment. That’s when Bhushan Kumar and T Series stepped in. But now with #MeToo naming Nagraj, the fate of the film remains unclear. Bhushan had given marching orders to Subhash Kapoor, the director of his biopic Mogul, after the latter’s name came up in an old sexual harassment case. Will he do the same with Nagraj?
