Threat of 4th Wave Looming But Citizens Ignoring Booster Shot In Nagpur
Nagpur: NAGPUR Municipal Corporation (NMC) has indefinitely postponed vaccination for 18 years plus age group as State Government has not supplied required doses so far. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari said the administration of jabs for 18-44 years age group would resume after getting required directions from the State. The vaccines for jabs, Covaxin and Covishield are in short supply and now priority is given to finish of second dose of 45-years plus beneficiaries in first stage.
Owing to simultaneous vaccines for all age groups, the jabs stock was exhausted leading putting the 45-years plus age group people in soup as most of them had overshot the period in which the second dose has to be taken. State Government hence decided to wrap-up second dose of citizens in 45-years plus age group and diverted the stock received for 18-year plus. Mayor said NMC is receiving queries from citizens daily about availability of doses and hence issued the clarification. Meanwhile on Thursday, NMC is focusing on providing second dose and that would be carried out majority of urban PHCs, Government hospitals and other centres, said a release issued by NMC.
DRUG firm Dr Reddy’s Laboratories on Friday said it has launched COVID vaccine Sputnik V in the Indian market with the first dose being administered in Hyderabad, as part of a limited pilot. The company said the imported doses of the vaccine are presently priced at a maximum retail price of Rs 948, with 5 per cent GST per dose, amounting to Rs 995.4 per dose.
“The imported doses of the vaccine are presently priced at an MRP of Rs 948 + 5 per cent GST per dose, with the possibility of a lower price point when local supply begins,” Dr Reddy’s Laboratories said in a statement. The first consignment of imported doses of the Sputnik V vaccine landed in India on May 1, and received regulatory clearance from the Central Drugs Laboratory, Kasauli, on May 13, 2021, it added.
As part of a limited pilot, the soft launch of the vaccine has commenced and the first dose of the vaccine was administered in Hyderabad, Dr Reddy’s said. “Further consignments of imported doses are expected over the upcoming months. Subsequently, supply of the Sputnik V vaccine will commence from Indian manufacturing partners,” it added.
नागपूर : नागपुरात अशाच एका भोंदूबाबाविरोधात पोलिसांनी कारवाई केली आहे. शुभम तायडे नावाचा हा बाबा कोरोना दूर करण्याचा दावा करत लोकांना लुबाडत होता. अंगामध्ये चक्क नागराज अवतरतात अशी थाप मारून तो लोकांना मूर्ख बनवत होता. आपल्या दैवी शक्तीने कोरोनासारखा आजार क्षणार्धात पळवून लावणाऱ्या ढोंगी बाबाचे कारस्थान एमआयडीसी पोलिसांनी अखिल भारतीय अंधश्रद्धा निर्मूलन समितीच्या सहकार्याने उधळून लावले. पोलिसांनी शुभम तायडे या ढोंगीबाबास जादूटोणाविरोधी कायद्याअंतर्गत अटक केली असून, लॉकडाऊन नियमांचे उल्लंघन करण्याचा गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे.
यापूर्वीच अंनिसने एमआयडीसी पोलीस ठाण्याच्या हद्दीत येणाऱ्या पंचशीलनगरात राहणाऱ्या शुभम तायडे नामक गुणवंतबाबाच्या विरोधात तक्रार दाखल केली होती. त्याअनुषंगाने अंनिस कार्यकर्ते व पोलिसांच्या चमूने सापळा रचून त्याच्या दुष्कृत्याचा भंडाफोड केला. बाबा दैवी शक्तीने पैशाचा पाऊस पाडतो, सट्ट्याचा नंबर देतो, गुप्तधन शोधतो, आजार दूर करतो, भक्तांच्या घरातील भानगडी दूर करतो व स्वप्नात येऊन समस्यांचे निवारण करतो, असा दावा बाबाचे भक्त करत होते. त्याअनुषंगाने गुरुवारी बाबा पंचशीलनगर येथील स्वत:च्या घरी दर गुरुवारी दरबार थाटत होता. गुरुवारी १३ मे रोजी सापळा रचत पोलिसांनी रात्री ९ वाजता बाबाच्या दरबारात धाड टाकली. विशेष म्हणजे, राज्यात टाळेबंदीबाबतचे कठोर निर्बंध असतानाही यावेळी तेथे ५० च्या वर भक्तमंडळी गर्दी करून होते. यावेळी बाबाच्या अंगात शेषनाग संचारल्याने तो जमिनीवर सापासारखा आळोखेपिळोखे देत फुसफुस करत होता. मात्र, पोलीस दिसताच त्याचे फुसफुसणे अचानक बंद झाले. बाबा कोरोना संक्रमित रुग्णांना क्षणार्धात कोरोनामुक्त करतो, असे भक्त यावेळी सांगत होते. अशाच तऱ्हेने बाबा लोकांना स्वत:मध्ये दैवी शक्ती असल्याचे सांगून भीती दाखवत होता. मात्र, पोलिसांच्या अचानक झालेल्या उपस्थितीने त्याचा दैवी चमत्कार दूर पळून गेला. यावेळी पोलिसांनी बाबाला जादूटोणाविरोधी कायदा, महाराष्ट्र नरबळी व इतर अमानुष अघोरी प्रथा २०१३ नुसार अटक केली. यासोबतच लॉकडाऊनमध्ये भक्तांना गोळा केल्याचा गुन्हाही त्याच्याविराेधात दाखल करण्यात आला. यावेळी अंनिसचे महासचिव हरीश देशमुख, महिला संघटिका छाया सावरकर, महानगर सचिव नरेश निमजे उपस्थित होते. ही कारवाई दक्षिण विभागाचे अतिरिक्त पोलीस आयुक्त दिलीप झलके यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात एमआयडीसी पोलीस ठाणेदार युवराज हांडे, पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक कृपेश घोळके, हेड कॉन्स्टेबल कैलाश चौहान यांनी केली.
अटकेविरोधात भक्तांची पोलीस ठाण्यात गर्दी बाबाला अटक केल्याच्या निषेधार्थ गुरुवारी रात्री मोठ्या संख्येने भक्तांनी गर्दी केली होती. बाबाला सोडण्याची मागणी व पोलिसांविरोधात घोषणाबाजी यावेळी केली जात होती. मात्र, तुमच्या समस्या अंतर्ज्ञानाने कळणाऱ्या बाबाला स्वत:वरील कारवाईबाबत का कळले नाही, असे जेव्हा समजावून सांगण्यात आले. तेव्हा भक्तांची गर्दी ओसरायला लागली.
कन्नौज जिल्ह्यामध्ये तिर्वा पोलीस ठाणे हद्दीत एक विचित्र परिस्थिती निर्माण झाली. नवरी एक होती आणि तिच्याशी लग्न करण्यासाठी दोन नवरदेव पोहोचले. एक तरुण लग्न ठरल्याने वरात घेऊन आला तर दुसरा तिचा प्रियकर देखील तिथे वाजत गाजत वरात घेऊन आला. एकाच वेळी दोन दोन वराती पाहून गाववाले देखील दंग झाले. मग काय प्रकरण पोलीस ठाण्यापर्यंत पोहोचले.
तासंतास चाललेल्या पंचायतमध्ये नवरीने तिच्या प्रियकराची निवड केली. मात्र, आता अरेंज मॅरेज ठरलेल्या नवरदेवाचे काय करायचे? असा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला. तिथेही शेवटी तोडगा काढलाच. नवरदेवाचा पडलेला चेहरा पाहून गावातील एका कुटुंबाने त्यांच्या मुलीचे त्याच्याशी लग्न लावून दिले. गुरुवारी रात्री सौरिख ठाणे क्षेत्रात नवरदेव वरात घेऊन पोहोचला होता.
झाले असे, दरवाजावर वरात पोहोचताच सर्वांनी खऱ्या नवरदेवाचे स्वागत केले. सर्व कार्यक्रम उरकत नाहीत तोच नवरीचा प्रेमी वरात घेऊन तिच्या गल्लीत पोहोचला. त्याला पाहताच नवरीच्या चेहऱ्यावर आनंद ओसंडून वाहू लागला. तिने लगेच घरी आलेल्या नवरदेवासोबत लग्नाला नकार दिला. हे कळताच वऱातींनी पोलिसांना याची माहिती दिली. घटनास्थळी पोहोचलेल्या पोलिसांनी नवरी आणि तिच्या प्रियकराला ताब्यात घेतले. यानंतर दोन्ही पक्षांमध्ये चर्चा होऊ लागली.
इंटरेस्टिंग म्हणजे त्या प्रियकराचेही लग्न ठरलेले. त्याचे लग्न 23 जूनला होते, त्यांनाही कोणीतरी खबर दिली. ते देखील कोतवाली पोलीस ठाण्यात येऊन पोहोचले आणि या लग्नाला विरोध करू लागले. चार वधू-वराचे पक्ष आणि पोलीस अशी चर्चा होऊ लागली. शेवटी गावची पंचायत बोलविण्यात आली. खूप तास चाललेल्या या बैठकीत नवरीच्या कुटुंबियांनी खऱ्या नवरदेवाने दिलेले दागिने आणि इतर साहित्य परत केले. नवरदेवाने देखील त्यांच्याकडून घेतलेली बाईक मागे दिली.
प्रकरण एवढ्यावर थांबेल कसे, तिच्या प्रियकराने देखील त्याची ज्यांच्याशी सोय़रिक झालेली त्या चौथ्या पक्षाला सामान परत दिले. तसेच चारही पक्षांमध्ये समजुतीने ठरलेली लग्न रद्द करण्यात आली. आता त्या नवरीचे तिच्या प्रियकराशी लग्न होणार होते. परंतू जो नवरदेव होता त्याची वरात रिकामीच मागे कशी पाठवायची असा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला. शेवटी त्या गावातील एका कुटुंबाने आपल्या मुलीशी त्या नवरदेवाचे लग्न लावून दिले आणि तिढा सोडविला.
Nagpur: Sensation prevailed Kotwali area, after an externed goon was brutally stabbed to death by two, amid stringent police bandobast on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr here, on Friday.
The deceased identified as Sonu, who was notorious goon and had several offences registered against him. Taking cognisance on his antisocial activities, he was externed from city boundaries. However, Sonu somehow managed to breach the heavy police bandobast and fell prey to brutal assault. Cops have reportedly rounded up two accused identified as Saurabh Ghate and Praveen Ghate in this connection.
In the meantime, an offence of murder was registered at Kotwali Police Station. Further probe is underway.
Nagpur: In yet another incident of murder, a senior citizen was found with her throat slit in Vaishali Nagar under MIDC Police jurisdiction here, on Friday. It was second such incident reported within span couple of hours, amid stringent police bandobast on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The deceased has been identified as Vijaybai Shivalkar. According to police sources, Shivalkar was prima facie appeared to be killed by someone known to her. Manhunt of the accused has been launched by the cops in the connection. In the meantime, police have sent her body for autopsy and registered an offence of murder. Further details are awaited.

The country is battling a second wave of the Coronavirus. Many well-known personalities associated with the film industry have died due to this epidemic. This morning, his condition deteriorated further, and I admitted him to the Lifeline Hospital in Malad. However, he passed away after a cardiac arrest. Reliance Jio on Friday said it is working with Reliance Foundation to provide 300 free minutes of outgoing calls per month, which amounts to 10 minutes per day, for the entire period of the pandemic.
The scheme will be available to JioPhone users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic, the company said in a statement.
Reliance Jio is the first company to announce free talk time for users in the second wave of pandemic wherein many states have imposed lockdowns or lockdown-like restrictions as a desperate measure to restrict the spread of the virus.
“Jio working with Reliance Foundation will provide 300 free minutes of outgoing calls per month (10 minutes per day) for the entire period of the pandemic, to JioPhone users who have not been able to recharge due to the ongoing pandemic,” Jio said in a statement.
In addition to free talk time, Jio has announced that for every JioPhone plan recharged by a JioPhone user, they will get an additional recharge plan of the same value for free.
“In these unprecedented times of the COVID pandemic, we at Jio want to ensure that staying connected remains accessible and affordable for all customers, especially the less-privileged sections of our society,” the statement said.
However, these offers are not applicable on annual or JioPhone device bundled plans.
In view of IMD’s warning about Cyclone Tauktae, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has directed the authorities in coastal districts of the state to remain alert and well-equipped to tackle the situation.
‘Be alert and ensure rescue operation wherever necessary,’ Thackeray was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) late night on Friday.
Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg districts are likely to bear the brunt of the cyclone and hence the collectors of these districts have been asked to take all necessary precautions in terms of rescue equipments and manpower, Thackeray said.
He said this during a meeting of the Disaster Management Authority that was held to take stock of the preparations to tackle the cyclone, the statement said.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had said on Friday that the depression in the Arabian Sea is likely to intensify into a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’ on May 17 and cross the Gujarat coast a day later.

नागपूर : गेल्या वर्षी ऑगस्ट महिन्याच्या अखेरीस ३१५ वर्षांतील सर्वात मोठ्या पुराला अनुभवलेल्या नागपूर जिल्ह्याने येत्या मान्सूनसाठी अतिशय गंभीरतेने तयारी सुरू केली आहे. शुक्रवारी यासंदर्भात झालेल्या जिल्हा प्रशासनाच्या मान्सूनपूर्व बैठकीत कोरोना संसर्ग आणि गेल्यावर्षीचा महापूर लक्षात घेऊन जिल्ह्यातील पुराचा धोका असणाऱ्या सर्व ३४१ गावांना कोणताही धोका पोहोचणार नाही, अशा पद्धतीचे सुसज्ज नियोजन करा. मान्सून पूर्वतयारीची कामे सात दिवसांत पूर्ण करा, आणि त्यासंदर्भात काय नियोजन केले त्याचा अहवालही सर्व विभागांनी सादर करावे, असे निर्देश जिल्हाधिकारी रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी दिले.
गेल्या वर्षी २८ व २९ ऑगस्ट रोजी मध्य प्रदेशातील चौराई धरणाच्या ग्रहण क्षेत्रात काही तासांमध्ये ४१४ मिलिमीटर पाऊस झाला होता. त्यामुळे चौराई धरणातून ९८ टक्के भरलेल्या तोतलाडोह धरणात मोठ्या प्रमाणात पाणी आले. तोतलाडोहचा विसर्ग वाढविणे आवश्यक असल्याने भयानक पूर आला. त्यामुळे या वर्षी मान्सून पूर्वतयारी करताना गेल्यावर्षी जे घडले ते पुन्हा घडणार नाही, अशा पद्धतीचे नियोजन करण्याची सूचना जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी केली.

सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने अर्धवट पूल व अर्धवट रस्त्यांच्या कामाच्या ठिकाणी फलक लावावेत, अपघात प्रवणस्थळांची निश्चिती व्हावी, ज्या पुलाचे काम सुरू असेल त्या ठिकाणी पर्यायी व्यवस्था उत्तम प्रकारे करण्याचेही त्यांनी सांगितले. वीजपुरवठा सुरळीत राहील, याची व्यवस्था करा आदी निर्देशही त्यांनी दिले.
या बैठकीला जिल्हा परिषदेचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी योगेश कुंभेजकर, जिल्हा आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन अधिकारी अंकुश गावंडे, निवासी उपजिल्हाधिकारी अविनाश कातडे यांच्यासह आपत्ती व्यवस्थापनासंदर्भातील अधिकारी-कर्मचारी उपस्थित होते.
कोरोना संसर्गाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर यंदाचे नियोजन
जिल्हाधिकारी रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी या वर्षीचे सर्व विभागाचे नियोजन पुढील सात दिवसांत जिल्हाधिकारी कार्यालयाला सादर करण्याचे निर्देश दिले आहेत. हवामान खात्याने या वर्षी ९६ ते १०४ टक्के पाऊस पडणार असल्याचा अंदाज व्यक्त केला आहे. तसेच १५ जूनपर्यंत नागपूरला मान्सूनचा पाऊस सुरू होणार आहे. त्यामुळे पुढील महिनाभरात सर्व नियोजन पूर्ण करायचे असून, त्यासाठी सर्वप्रथम त्यांनी जिल्ह्यातील पाच मोठ्या व १२ मध्यम प्रकल्पांचे संपूर्ण स्ट्रक्चरल ऑडिट करावे ,यासोबतच लघुप्रकल्प तसेच तलाव, बंधारे याबाबतही काळजी घेण्याचे निर्देश दिले.

Shivpuri (MP): A 28-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her husband and in-laws for giving birth to four girls, the last of which was born just three months ago, and also over dowry in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, police said on Friday.
Savitri Baghel was strangled to death allegedly by her husband Ratan Singh, his father Kilold Singh, and mother Benoo Bai at their home in village Dindoli, some 80km from the district headquarters, on Thursday, Police Inspector Ramraja Tiwari said.
He said according to the deceased’s brother Krishna Baghel, Ratan Singh and his parents used to harass his sister for giving birth to four daughters and not bearing a male child.
Krishna Baghel told the police his sister had given birth to the fourth daughter just three months ago, he added.
The family would also harass the woman for dowry, Inspector Tiwari said.
The accused have been booked under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 304B (dowry death), but no arrest has been made so far, the police officer said.
Nagpur: After a brief pause owing to vaccine shortage, Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Friday, started its ambitious Drive-in Vaccination drive in the city.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the drive-in vaccination drive at local Mall for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Nagpur Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and others were prominently present on this occasion.
It is pertinent to mention that, later in the day, Nagpur Guardian Minister Dr. Nitin Raut will be inaugurating similar drive-in vaccination drives at VR Mall and Trillium Mall.
It is really good news as the first lot of 17,000 Remdesivir injections rolled out of the Wardha plant on Thursday. The stock manufactured at Genetek Life Sciences facility in Wardha was handed over to stockists, for distribution in Nagpur and other parts of Maharashtra through the District Collector. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSMEs, joined the handing over ceremony through online mode.
As per the information, Union Minister spoke to Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister; and Rajesh Tope, Maharashtra Health Minister. Gadkari informed them about the first lot rolling out of the Wardha plant. The plant at Wardha got permission to manufacture Remdesivir injections, at the initiative of Gadkari. So far, the plant has produced one lakh vials of the injection that is being widely used on COVID-19 patients. After meeting the requirements of Nagpur and Maharashtra, the vials manufactured at Wardha will be supplied across the country.
Sputnik V ही रशियन बनावटीची लस आहे. त्या लसीची किंमत जाहीर करण्यात आली आहे. या लसीच्या एका डोसची किंमत 995 रूपये असणार आहे. भारतात या लसीचा पहिला डोस हैदराबादमध्ये डॉ. रेड्डी यांनी घेतला आहे. एका डोसची किंमत 995 रूपये इतका असणार आहे. या डोसला सेंट्रल ड्रग्ज लॅबरोटरीजकडून आवश्यक परवानग्या मिळाल्या आहेत. डॉ. रेड्डीज लॅबरोटरीजने स्टॉक एक्सचेंजलाही स्पुटनिक व्ही या लसीच्या डोसच्या किंमतीबाबत माहिती दिली आहे. 11 ऑगस्ट 2020 रशियाने या लसीची नोंदणी केली होती. ही कोरोना विरोधातली जगभरातली पहिली लस आहे. या लसीचे 30 लाख डोस हे मे महिन्याच्या अखेरच्या आठवड्यापर्यंत दाखल होणार आहेत.
पुढच्या आठवड्यापासून भारतात Sputnik V ही रशियाची लस उपलब्ध होणार आहे. दोन बिलियन डोस पुढील पाच महिन्यांमध्ये उपलब्ध होणार आहेत. केंद्र सरकारच्या आरोग्य मंत्रालयाने याबाबत माहिती दिली आहे. पुढच्या आठवड्यापासून Sputnik V या लसीची विक्री भारतात सुरू होणार आहे. तर ऑक्टोबर महिन्यापासून भारतात या लसीचं उत्पादित होऊन लस मिळू शकणार आहे.
देशात कोरोनाचं संकट गहिरं झालं आहे. यासंदर्भात आज केंद्रीय आरोग्य मंत्रालयाने पत्रकार परिषद घेतली. या पत्रकार परिषदेत आरोग्य मंत्रालयाचे सह सचिव लव अग्रवाल, डॉ. बलराम भार्गव, आयसीएमआर आणि नीती आयोगाचे सदस्य डॉ. व्ही. के. पॉल उपस्थित होते.
भारतात जेव्हा या लसीच्या निर्मितीला सुरूवात होईल तेव्हा कदाचित या लसीच्या डोसची किंमत कमी होऊ शकते. भारतात लसी तयार करणाऱ्या कंपन्यांशी या लसीच्या उत्पादनाबाबत चर्चा सुरू आहे. नीती आयोगाच्या एका सदस्याने डिसेंबरपर्यंत देशात कोव्हिड व्हॅक्सिनचे 200 कोटीहून अधिक डोस भारतात उपलब्ध होतील असा दावा केला आहे.
राज्यात कोरोनाचा प्रादुर्भाव रोखण्यासाठी लागू करण्यात आलेले निर्बंध 1 जून रोजी सकाळी 7 वाजेपर्यंत वाढविण्यात आले आहेत. बुधवारी मंत्रिमंडळाच्या बैठकीत त्याबाबतचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला होता. गुरुवारी त्याचा शासन आदेश जारी करण्यात आला. देशातील इतर राज्यांत कोरोना रुग्णांचे वाढते प्रमाण पाहता आता राज्यात कोणत्याही वाहनाने प्रवेश करणार्यांना 48 तास आधी केलेल्या आरटी-पीसीआर चाचणीचा निगेटिव्ह अहवाल सादर करणे सक्तीचे करण्यात आले आहे. कोरोना अहवाल असेल तरच राज्यात प्रवेश दिला जाणार आहे.
‘ब्रेक द चेन’अंतर्गत यासंदर्भातील शासन आदेश जारी करण्यात आला. 29 एप्रिल रोजी कोरोना विषाणूच्या प्रसारावर अंकुश लावण्यासाठी 15 मेपर्यंत कडक निर्बंध लागू करण्यात आले होते. नवीन मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वेही जाहीर करण्यात आली होती. या निर्बंधांमुळे राज्यातील वाढता कोरोना संसर्ग काही प्रमाणात का होईना नियंत्रित करण्यात यश आल्याने हे निर्बंध कायम ठेवण्याची सूचना अनेक मंत्र्यांनी बैठकीत केली होती. त्यानंतर मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या आदेशानंतर या निर्णयावर शिक्कामोर्तब झाले. आता हे निर्बंध 1 जून रोजी सकाळी 7 वाजेपर्यंत कायम असतील.
साथरोग अधिनियम-1897 तसेच आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन कायदा 2005 च्या तरतुदीनुसार हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे. ‘ब्रेक द चेन’संबंधी 13 एप्रिल आणि त्यानंतर 29 एप्रिल रोजी घोषित केलेले सर्व निर्बंध कायम ठेवताना काही नवीन निर्बंधही लागू करण्यात आले आहेत. त्यानुसार कोणत्याही वाहनातून महाराष्ट्र राज्यामध्ये दाखल होणार्या प्रत्येक व्यक्तीकडे कोरोना आरटी-पीसीआर चाचणी अहवाल निगेटिव्ह असणे अनिवार्य असेल. हा अहवाल राज्यामध्ये प्रवेश करण्याच्या जास्तीत जास्त 48 तास अगोदर केलेल्या चाचणीचा असावा, असे बंधन घालण्यात आले आहे.
मालवाहतूक करणार्यांकरिता एका वाहनामध्ये फक्त दोन व्यक्तींनाच (चालक आणि क्लीनर किंवा हेल्पर) प्रवास करण्याची मुभा असेल. जर हे मालवाहक महाराष्ट्राच्या बाहेरून येत असतील, तर त्यातील दोघांनाही आरटी-पीसीआर निगेटिव्ह चाचणी अहवाल द्यावा लागेल आणि हा अहवाल सात दिवसांकरिताच वैध राहील.
राज्यात निर्बंध लागू असतानाही बाजारपेठांमध्ये गर्दी होत आहे. त्यावर उपाय म्हणून स्थानिक आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन प्रशासन (डीएमए) हे ग्रामीण बाजारपेठा आणि कृषी उत्पन्न बाजार समित्यांच्या कामावर संनियंत्रण ठेवतील. तेथे कोरोना नियमांचे काटेकोर पालन केले जात आहे की नाही, यावर लक्ष ठेवतील. जर ‘डीएमए’ला असे आढळले की, अशा काही ठिकाणी व्यवस्था करणे व शिस्तीचे पालन होत नाही, तर त्या त्या ठिकाणच्या ग्रामीण बाजारपेठा आणि कृषी उत्पन्न बाजार समित्यांचे कामकाज बंद करण्याचा निर्णय किंवा अधिक निर्बंध लावण्याचा निर्णय घेतला जाईल.
6 ते 8 आठवड्यांचा लॉकडाऊन हवा !
कोरोना संसर्ग दर 10 टक्क्यांंहून अधिक असलेल्या जिल्ह्यांमध्ये हा दर 5 टक्क्यांंपर्यंत येत नाही तोपर्यंत लॉकडाऊन लागू केला पाहिजे, अशी सूचना भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषदेचे (आयसीएमआर) महासंचालक डॉ. बलराम भार्गव यांनी केली आहे. संसर्ग दर 5 टक्क्यांवर येण्यासाठी किमान 6 ते 8 आठवड्यांचा कालावधी लागतो. देशाचा संसर्ग दर 21 टक्के आहे. 734 पैकी 310 जिल्ह्यांमध्ये संसर्गाचा दर राष्ट्रीय सरासरीएवढा अथवा त्याहून अधिक असल्याचेही भार्गव म्हणाले.
स्थानिक प्रशासनाला निर्बंध वाढविण्याचा अधिकार
दूध संकलन, दुधाची वाहतूक आणि प्रक्रिया हे सर्व कोणत्याही निर्बंधांशिवाय चालू ठेवता येणार आहे. मात्र, त्यांना कोरोना प्रतिबंधासाठीच्या सर्व नियमांचे पालन करावे लागणार आहे. त्यांना होम डिलिव्हरीची परवानगी असेल. कोविड-19 व्यवस्थापनाच्या कामासाठी औषधे आणि इतर साहित्यांची मालवाहतूक करण्याच्या कामात सहभागी असलेले विमानतळ आणि बंदर सेवेतील लोकांना लोकल, मोनो आणि मेट्रो रेल्वेने प्रवास करण्याची मुभा असेल. कोरोनाच्या परिस्थितीचा विचार करून स्थानिक प्रशासन आपल्या अखत्यारीतील विशेष भागांमध्ये अधिक निर्बंध लागू करण्याचा निर्णय घेऊ शकतात. हे निर्बंध लागू करण्याच्या 48 तास अगोदर त्याची जाहीर घोषणा करावी लागणार आहे.
A doctor’s Twitter thread describing a dying Covid patient’s son singing to her on a video call has gone viral on social media and has moved many to tears.
Dipshikha Ghosh wrote in the posts that she had video-called the relatives of her patient Sanghamitra Chatterjee –“who is not going to make it” – when her son Soham Chatterjee asked her to spare a few more minutes. He then sang to his mother. He sang a popular Hindi movie song that, she says, will never be the same to her again. “Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Nata Koi…,” goes the song, which is from a film about a mother and son who were separated for years and found each other.
Dr Ghosh said as she watched Soham Chatterjee singing to his mother, nurses too came and stood in silence. He broke down but somehow finished the song, and there were few dry eyes in that ward. After asking the doctor about his mother’s vitals, he hung up. “This song is changed for us, for me at least. This song will always be theirs,” the doctor wrote.
The story has received an overwhelming response on social media, with most users saying they cried reading the story of a son’s final goodbye to his mother.
When a Twitter user appeared to congratulate the doctor for being able to capture the pain nicely in the Twitter thread, Dr Ghosh told him, “I did nothing. This shouldn’t happen to anyone.”
On her Twitter profile, Dr Ghosh says she practices critical care medicine. She has regularly asked people to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour and updates about her day at work. Mostly those updates sum up the pressure healthcare workers are handling currently across the country.
India’s COVID-19 caseload hit 2.37 crore today with 3.62 lakh new infections in the last 24 hours. The death count has touched 2,58,317 with 4,120 people dying of the infection on Wednesday.
जामखेड: पती पत्नीने गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केल्याची धक्कादायक घटना बुधवारी घडली आहे. शिल्पा अजय जाधव (वय २८) हिने दुपारी आपल्या राहत्या घरी गळफास लावून आत्महत्या केल्याची माहिती मिळताच तिचा पती अजय कचरदास जाधव (वय ३२) त्याने देखील दुसर्या ठिकाणी काही वेळातच गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केली. दोघांनी एकच दिवशी आत्महत्या केल्याने हळहळ व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
याबाबत समजलेली माहिती अशी, की अजय व शिल्पा या दोघांचा नुकताच चार महिन्यापूर्वी मोठ्या थाटात विवाह सोहळा संपन्न झाला होता. आज दुपारी शिल्पा जाधव हिने बीड रोड जवळील आदित्य गार्डन शेजारी राहत असलेल्या घरी दुपारी गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केली.
या घटनेची माहिती तिचा पती अजय जाधव यास माहित झाली. या नंतर त्याने देखील मोरे वस्ती येथील त्याच्या पाण्याच्या जारप्लांटमधील ऑफीस मध्ये काही वेळातच गळफास घेऊन आत्महत्या केली.
पती-पत्नी यांनी आत्महत्या का केली या बाबत अद्याप काही समजू शकले नाही. अजय याने आत्महत्या करण्यापूर्वी लिहुन ठेवलेल्या चिठ्ठीत म्हटले की माझ्या आत्महत्यास मी जबाबदार असुन कोणासही दोषी ठरवू नये. यानंतर दोघांचे मृतदेह शवविच्छेदनासाठी जामखेड ग्रामीण रुग्णालय दाखल करण्यात आले.
या प्रकरणी मयताचा भाऊ अभिषेक कच्चरदास जाधव याने जामखेड पोलीस स्टेशनला खबर दिली आहे. पुढील तपास पोलीस करीत आहेत. अजय याचा मोठा मित्रपरिवार होता. मात्र दोघा पती पत्नीच्या आत्महत्याने मित्रपरिवारांनमध्ये हळहळ व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
The horror of floating bodies in the Ganga river reached Patna on Thursday. Two days after the Bihar government fished out 71 bodies from the river in the Buxar district, locals spotted several bodies floating near the Gulabi Ghat in Patna.
“A number of bodies, including a body of a child, has been found floating in the river Ganga. We are keeping a check to ensure that bodies are not dumped in the river in our district,” Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said.
The Gulabi Ghat on the Ganga river is used for cremation in Patna. The district magistrate said that his office is checking if the bodies were dumped in the river in Patna or someplace else.
Speaking to the media, Chandrashekhar Singh also urged people not to leave bodies in the river.
The district magistrate informed that the bodies will be fished out and cremated.
On Tuesday, the Bihar government fished out 71 bodies from the Ganges in Buxar district, triggering suspicion that the abandoned corpses could be those of Covid-19 patients.
According to Ballia residents in Uttar Pradesh, at least 52 bodies were seen floating at the Ujiyar, Kulhadia and Bharauli ghats in the Narahi area. However, the district authorities did not tell the exact number of bodies found there.
On Monday, residents in Hamirpur district spotted five bodies floating in the Yamuna, creating a scare that these were of Covid patients. The bodies were later fished out and cremated.
Following this, the Centre on Tuesday asked states along the Ganga to ensure strict vigilance and check future incidences of people dumping bodies in the Ganga and its tributaries.
Russian Sputnik V Covid vaccine has reached India and will be available in the market from next week onwards, said NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul. The first batch has arrived and more will be arriving from Russia.
Sputnik V will also be produced in India from July onwards. India is looking to produce 15.6 crore doses of the Russian vaccine.
Dr VK Paul said, “We will have 2 billion doses of (Sputnik V) in the next five months – made by India and used by India.”
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday postponed the civil services preliminary examination, scheduled to be held in June, to October 10 in view of the alarming COVID situation.
The commission conducts civil services examination annually in three stages — preliminary, main and interview — to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
“Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) has deferred the civil services (preliminary) examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June, 2021. Now, this examination will be held on 10th October, 2021,” a statement issued by the commission said.
India’s apex drug regulator has granted permission for conducting the phase II/III clinical trial of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin COVID-19 vaccine in the age group of 2 to 18 years, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.
The trial will be conducted on 525 healthy volunteers.
“The National Regulator of the country, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), after careful examination, has accepted the recommendation of Subject Expert Committee (SEC) and accorded permission to conduct the Phase II/III clinical trial of Covaxin (COVID vaccine) in the age group 2 to 18 years, to its manufacturer Bharat Biotech Ltd on May 12,” the ministry said.
Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech had proposed to carry out the clinical trial in the age group of 2 to 18 years.
In the trial, the vaccine will be given by intramuscular route in two doses at day 0 and day 28.
As rapid regulatory response, the proposal was deliberated in Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on COVID-19 meeting held on May 11.
The Committee, after detailed deliberation, recommended for grant of permission to conduct proposed phase II/III clinical trial to certain conditions.
Earlier the proposal was deliberated in the SEC meeting on February 24 and the firm was asked to submit a revised clinical trial protocol.
Covaxin, which has been indigenously developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), is being used on adults in India’s ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive.
Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a family of deceased Covid patient has accused Crystal Nursing Home administration of removing their patient from ventilator support for pending dues. This inhuman act has led to his death, the grieving family members claimed. A complaint in this connection has been registered with Pachpaoli Police Station.
In his complaint, Pranit Diliprao Kadekar, a resident of Hanuman Mandir, Subedar Lay-out, Besa has informed Pachpaoli cops that his father Diliprao Kadekar was tested positive for the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) last month. Following which he was admitted to Crystal Nursing Home on April 21. The hospital administration has reportedly sought ₹2 lakh as deposit money from the complainant while admitting his father.
As the treatment processed, Pranit made sure to enable all the necessary medicines and injection. During the same, hospital director reportedly asked Pranit to deposit more money. However, when Pranit sought bills to review the deposited money, the hospital doctor reportedly picked up an argument with him, the complainant has alleged.
Though, after initial procrastination, hospital administration handed over bills to Pranit; however, the complainant was shocked to notice several irregularities with the expenses on the various pretexts. It is when Pranit confronted hospital director regarding the arbitrary bills. However, this act has reportedly irked him and following which the hospital staff started ignoring his father health, Pranit told Pachpaoli cops.
Though, the complainant had already paid ₹2 lakh, the hospital staff were demanding additional ₹1 lakh as pending dues. During the same, the health of Pranit’s father deteriorated. But the hospital staff reportedly removed his ventilator support followed which he succumbed to the ill treatment of the Crystal Hospital staff, the complainant has alleged.

या परिपत्रकानुसार महाराष्ट्रात प्रवेश करणाऱ्या व्यक्तीकडे कोरोनाच्या आरटीपीसीआर चाचणीचा निगेटिव्ह अहवाल असणं आवश्यक आहे. हा अहवाल प्रवेश करण्यापूर्वी 48 तासांमधील असणं आवश्यक आहे. दूध संकलन आणि वाहतुकीवर निर्बंध नसतील. तसेच दुधाच्या रिटेल विक्रीला स्थानिक प्रशासनाने घालून दिलेल्या निर्बंधांच्या मर्यादेत सूट असेल, असेही यात नमूद करण्यात आले आहे.

प्रयागराज: उत्तर प्रदेशातल्या प्रयागराजमध्ये असलेल्या एका पुलावरून एकाच कुटुंबातील ५ जणांनी नदीत उडी घेतली. यामुळे परिसरात एकच खळबळ उडाली. स्थानिकांनी कुटुंबाला नदीत उडी मारताना पाहिलं. मात्र कोणी मदतीला पोहोचणार, त्याआधीच कुटुंबानं नदीत उड्या घेतल्या. मात्र पुलाखाली अनेक नाविक होते. त्यांनी बुडणाऱ्या कुटुंबाला वाचवलं. या घटनेची माहिती पोलिसांना देण्यात आली. त्यांनी तातडीनं घटनास्थळी धाव घेतली आणि कुटुंबाला रुग्णालयात दाखल केलं.
पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, मध्य प्रदेशातल्या रेवामधून कुटुंब १२० किलोमीटर अंतर कापून प्रयागराजला आलं होतं. कुटुंबातील ५ सदस्यांनी एकाचवेळी पुलावरून नदीत उडी घेतली. रोहिणी तिवारी यांनी त्यांची मुलगी रुपाली (२४), मनाली (२२), श्रेया (१८) आणि मुलगा अंश (१५) यांच्यासह नैनी पुलावरून आत्महत्या करण्याच्या हेतून पुलावरून उडी मारली. पुलाखाली असलेल्या नावाड्यांनी या संपूर्ण कुटुंबाला वाचवलं. रोहिणी आणि एका मुलीला गंभीर दुखापत झाली आहे. कौटुंबिक वादामुळे हे ५ जण आत्महत्या करण्यास प्रयागराजला आले होते.
प्रयागराजमधील किडगंज पोलिसांनी आत्महत्या करण्यास आलेल्या कुटुंबियांची विचारपूस केली. आई रोहिणी आणि मुलगी रुपाली, मनालीनं सांगितलेलं आत्महत्येचं कारण एकसारखंच आहे. पती राधाकृष्ण तिवारी मुलांकडे दुर्लक्ष करून त्यांना शत्रूसारखी वागवत असल्याचं रोहिणी यांनी पोलिसांना सांगितलं. तर वडील मोठ्या भावाच्या कुटुंबाकडे पूर्ण लक्ष देतात. मात्र आमच्याकडे दुर्लक्ष करतात, असं रुपाली आणि मनालीनं पोलिसांना सांगितलं. वडिलांमुळे कुटुंबावर उपासमारीची वेळ आली. त्यामुळे आम्ही आत्महत्या करण्याचा निर्णय घेतल्याचंदेखील त्यांनी म्हटलं.
मुंबई :कोरोनामुळे आधीच उपासमारीची वेळ ओढवली असतानाच प्रियकर असलेल्या बाळाच्या पित्यानेही मुलाच्या दुधासाठी पैसे दिले नाही म्हणून जन्मदात्या आईने भुकेने व्याकुळ झालेल्या चार ते पाच महिन्यांच्या बाळाला चिंधी बाजारातील फूटपाथजवळ सोडल्याचा प्रकार समोर आला आहे. मात्र सुदैवाने हे बाळ एका मातेला सापडले. तिने त्याला दूध पाजून पोलिसांच्या हवाली केले. पुढे जे. जे. मार्ग पोलिसांनी सीसीटीव्ही आणि तांत्रिक पुराव्याच्या मदतीने आईचा शोध घेत तिला बेलापूरमधून अटक केली.
दोन टाकी परिसरात राहणाऱ्या रूपा माथुन दंतानी (वय ४०) यांचा चिंधीचा व्यापार आहे. शुक्रवारी (दि. ७) सकाळी साडेपाचच्या सुमारास त्या नेहमीप्रमाणे दोन टाकी परिसरात चिंंधी विकण्यासाठी गेल्या. चिंधी विकत असताना सहाच्या सुमारास लहान बाळाचा रडण्याचा आवाज त्यांच्या कानावर पडला. त्यांनी आवाजाच्या दिशेने पाहिले असता मागच्या पदपथाजवळ त्यांना चार ते पाच महिन्यांचे बाळ रडताना दिसले.
त्यांनी त्या बाळाला ताब्यात घेत, परिसरात सर्वत्र चौकशी केली, बाळाला भूक लागल्याचे लक्षात येताच त्यांनी बाळाच्या दुधाची व्यवस्था केली. पालक बाळाला शोधत येतील असे समजून बाळाला सोबत ठेवले. दोन तास उलटूनही बाळाची आई न आल्याने त्यांनी जे. जे. मार्ग पोलीस ठाणे गाठून बाळाला पोलिसांच्या ताब्यात देत, तक्रार दाखल केली.
त्यानुसार, जे. जे. मार्ग पोलीस ठाण्याचे वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षक सुभाष बोराटे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली गुन्हे प्रकटीकरण पथकाचे पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक पोवार, जमादार व पथकाने आईचा शोध सुरू केला. सीसीटीव्ही आणि स्थानिक खबऱ्यांमार्फत शोध घेत बेलापूरमधून तिला ताब्यात घेतले.
महिलेकडे केलेल्या चौकशीनुसार, तिचे दोन विवाह झाले असून दोन्हीही पती तिला सोडून गेले. सध्या ती प्रियकरासोबत बेलापूरमध्ये राहते. त्यांना बाळ आहे. तिच्या प्रियकराचा दोन टाकी परिसरातील चिंधी बाजारात व्यवसाय आहे. शुक्रवारी (दि. ७) ती बाळासह तेथे गेली. बाळाच्या दुधासाठी तिने त्याच्याकडे पैसे मागितले. मात्र प्रियकराने पैसे न दिल्याने रागाने ती तेथून निघून गेली. पुढे तेथील पदपथावर बाळाला सोडून घर गाठल्याचे तिने पोलिसांना सांगितले. त्यानुसार २९ वर्षीय महिलेला पोलिसांनी अटक केली. त्यानंतर तिला जामिनावर साेडण्यात आले.
बाळाची रवानगी बालगृहात आईच्या अटकेच्या वृत्ताला दुजोरा देत, बाळाला बालगृहात पाठविण्यात आल्याची माहिती जे. जे. मार्ग पोलीस ठाण्याचे वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षक सुभाष बोराटे यांनी दिली.
एकीने नाकारले, दुसरीने जीवदान दिले रागाने आईने बाळाला रस्त्यावर साेडले, मात्र ते एका मातेला सापडले. तिने त्याला दूध पाजून पोलिसांच्या हवाली केले. पुढे जे. जे. मार्ग पोलिसांनी सीसीटीव्ही आणि तांत्रिक पुराव्याच्या मदतीने त्याच्या निर्दयी आईचा शोध घेत तिला बेलापूरमधून अटक केली.
मुंबई:बाबा रामदेव यांची पतंजली नॅचरल बिस्किट प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड ही कंपनी 60.02 कोटी रुपयांना रुची सोया इंडस्ट्रीज कंपनीने विकत घेतली आहे. 10 मे 2021 रोजी बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्सनी बिझनेस ट्रान्स्फर अग्रीमेंटवर स्वाक्षऱ्या केल्या आहेत. कंपनी अधिग्रहणाची प्रक्रिया येत्या दोन महिन्यांत पूर्ण होण्याची अपेक्षा आहे. रुची सोया इंडस्ट्रीजकडून ही रक्कम दोन हप्त्यांत दिली जाणार आहे. 15 कोटी रुपयांचा पहिला हप्ता अॅग्रीमेंट क्लोझिंग डेटला दिला जाणार आहे. तसंच, उर्वरित 45 कोटी रुपयांचा हप्ता क्लोझिंग डेटपासून 90 दिवसांत दिला जाणार आहे.
रुची सोया कंपनीकडून देण्यात आलेल्या माहितीनुसार, या व्यवहारात काही काँट्रॅक्ट मॅन्युफॅक्चरिंग अॅग्रीमेंटचाही समावेश आहे. कंपनीचे कर्मचारी, तसंच कंपनीच्या नावावर असलेल्या मालमत्तेची मालकीही हस्तांतरित होणार आहे. त्यासोबत, पतंजली बिस्कीट कंपनीच्या नावावर असलेली कर्जं, कंपनीची सर्व प्रकारची लायसेन्सेस, परमिट या सगळ्याच गोष्टी रुची सोया कंपनीच्या नावावर होणार आहेत. रुची सोया या कंपनीचा सध्याचा प्रॉडक्ट पोर्टफोलियो वाढवणं, हा या कंपनी अधिग्रहणाचा उद्देश आहे.
रुची सोया ही कंपनी सध्या भारतात न्यूट्रिला, महाकोश, रुची गोल्ड, रुची स्टार, सनरिच अशा ब्रँड्ससह कारभार चालवते आहे. रुची सोया ही कंपनी एके काळी कर्जात बुडाली होती. त्यानंतर पतंजली आयुर्वेद कंपनीने 2019 साली ही कंपनी 4350 कोटी रुपयांना खरेदी केली. त्यासाठी पतंजली कंपनीला 3200 कोटी रुपयांचं कर्ज घ्यावं लागलं होतं. स्टेट बँक ऑफ इंडियाकडून 1200 कोटी रुपये, सिंडिकेट बँकेकडून 400 कोटी रुपये, पंजाब नॅशनल बँकेकडून 700 कोटी रुपये, युनियन बँक ऑफ इंडियाकडून 600 कोटी रुपये, तर अलाहाबाद बँकेकडून 300 कोटी रुपयांचं कर्ज पतंजली कंपनीने रुची सोयाच्या खरेदीसाठी घेतलं होतं.
त्यामुळे रुची सोया आणि पतंजली नॅचरल बिस्कीट प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड या दोन्ही कंपन्या बाबा रामदेव यांच्याच आहेत. बाबा रामदेव (Baba Ramdev) आणि आचार्य बालकृष्ण (Acharya Balkrishna) यांनी 2006मध्ये पतंजली कंपनीची स्थापना केली होती. आता त्या कंपनीची 99.6 टक्के मालकी आचार्य बालकृष्ण यांच्या नावावर आहे. बाबा रामदेव कंपनीचे सहसंस्थापक आहेत. तसंच, रुची सोया या कंपनीत बाबा रामदेव नॉन एक्झिक्युटिव्ह नॉन इंडिपेंडंट डायरेक्टरही आहेत.

दिल्ली बुलियन मार्केटमध्ये सोन्याचे भाव 229 रुपयांनी घसरून 47,074 रुपये प्रति 10 ग्रॅम झाले. मागील व्यापार सत्रात 10 ग्रॅम सोन्याचा भाव 47,303 रुपयांवर बंद झाला होता.

दिल्ली बुलियन मार्केटमध्ये चांदीची किंमत बुधवारी 717 रुपयांनी घसरून 70,807 रुपये प्रतिकिलोवर गेली. गेल्या व्यापार सत्रात चांदीचा भाव 71,524 रुपये प्रतिकिलो होता. आंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजारात सोन्याच्या किमती खाली आल्यात. सोन्याचा भाव प्रति औंस 1832 डॉलर होता, तर चांदीचा भाव औंस 27.38 डॉलर होता.
सोन्याला झळाळी का मिळाली?
एचडीएफसी सिक्युरिटीजचे वरिष्ठ विश्लेषक (कमोडिटीज) तपन पटेल म्हणाले की, डॉलरमधील मजबुती आणि बाँडच्या उत्पन्नामुळे सोन्याच्या किमतीवर दबाव आला. त्याचवेळी मोतीलाल ओसवाल फायनान्शियल सर्व्हिसेसचे उपाध्यक्ष (कमोडिटीज रिसर्च) नवनीत दमानी म्हणाले, यूएस ट्रेझरी यील्ड्समधील वाढ आणि डॉलरच्या वाढीमुळे सोन्याच्या किमती तीन आठवड्यांच्या उच्चांकी पातळीवर गेल्या. सेफ हेवन अपीलला यामुळे धक्का बसला. यूएस सीपीआय डेटा आज जाहीर होण्याची प्रतीक्षा गुंतवणूकदार करीत आहेत.

मागील काही दिवसांपासून भारतात आढळलेल्या B.1.617 या कोरोना व्हेरियंट हा भारतीय व्हेरियंट असल्याच्या बातम्या प्रसारमाध्यमांमध्ये येत आहेत. WHO च्या हवाल्यानं या बातम्या जगभरात प्रसिद्ध होत आहेत. या व्हेरियंटवर आता केंद्र सरकारनं स्पष्टीकरण दिलं आहे. B.1.617 हा धोकादायक व्हेरियंट भारतीय नसल्याचं स्पष्टीकरण केंद्र सरकारकडून देण्यात आलं आहे. जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेनं (WHO) भारतात आढळलेला B.1.617 हा व्हेरियंट खूप धोकादायक असून आगामी काळात जगासाठी चिंतेचा विषय ठरणार असल्याचं म्हटलं आहे. पण काही प्रसारमाध्यमांनी B.1.617 हा व्हेरियंटला भारतीय असल्याचं म्हटलं आहे. प्रसारमाध्यमांमध्ये भारतीय व्हेरियंटबद्दल आलेल्या बातम्या तथ्यहीन आहेत. याला कोणताही पुरवा नसून यावर कोणत्याही प्रकारचं संशोधन करण्यात आलेलं नाही, असं केंद्र सरकारनं म्हटलं आहे.
केंद्र सरकारनं आपल्या स्पष्टीकरणात पुढे म्हटलेय की, जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेनं प्रसिद्ध केलेल्या 32 पानाच्या अहवालात कुठेही B.1.617 या कोरोना व्हेरियंटला भारतीय व्हेरियंट म्हटलेलं नाही. इतकेच नव्हे तर WHO नं याबाबत “भारतीय” या शब्दाचाही उल्लेख करण्यात आलेला नाही.
भारतात आढळलेल्या कोरोनाच्या B.1.617 या व्हेरियंटनं जगभरात हाहाकार माजवला आहे. हा व्हेरियंट १५ पट अधिक संक्रमणकारी असल्याचा दावा करण्यात आला आहे. पण त्याचबरोबर या व्हेरियंटविरोधात लस आणि कोरोनाच्या रुग्णांवर होत असलेले उपचार प्रभावी आहेत, असा दावाही WHOचे भारतातील प्रतिनिधी डॉ. रोडेरिको एच. ऑफरिन यांनी केला आहे.
दरम्यान, भारतात कोरोनाची (India Corona Update) रुग्णसंख्या कमी होत असली तरी मृत्यूचे प्रमाण वाढलं आहे. सोमवारी देशात 3 लाख 29 हजार नवीन रुग्ण (New Covid Cases in India) सापडले होते. मंगळवारी त्यात वाढ झाली असून दिवसभरात 3 लाख 48 हजार 421 नवीन रुग्ण आढळले आहेत. तर गेल्या 24 तासात 4 हजार 205 मृत्यू झाले असून आतापर्यंतचा हा उच्चांक आहे. देशात याआधी 7 मे रोजी एकाच दिवशी 4 हजार 187 इतक्या मृत्यूची नोंद झाली होती.
