He also added that he is currently treating many patients who have been denied treatment by many other doctors stating that they have stage four cancers and that there is very less survival time for them.
“One of my patients (diagnosed with stage four gall bladder cancer in June 2021) was told by a doctor that she had stage four cancer and that she would survive for only three months. The family was shattered and lost hope to get the lady treated further”, informed Dr. Vaibhav Chaudhary. “However, the patient did not die in the mentioned time limit and this is when the family started searching for another doctor and approached me. The patient is leading a normal life now. This proves that cancer at stage four is not a death sentence for the patients anymore and they can be treated in a personalized way”, he added.
This approach helps in managing the side effects of cancer, improves response to treatment, survival, and quality of life, and reduces healthcare costs. This adds in converting the stage four cancers into a chronic disease.
