BJP leader, bigg boss fame Sonali Phogat passes away in Goa
Sonali Phogat, a 41-year-old actor and leader of the Haryana BJP, passed away after a heart attack on Monday night in Goa, according to her relatives.
She is survived by her daughter, according to Vatan Dhaka, a relative of Phogat, who claimed to have learned of her passing on Tuesday morning.
While her family hurried from Fatehabad in Haryana to Goa to retrieve her body, Sudhir Sangwan, Phogat’s personal assistant, was unable to be reached since his phone was off. Her spouse, Sanjay Phogat, was discovered dead in 2016 in an unsolved incident.
Sonali Phogat ran for the Haryana legislature in 2019 from Adampur but lost to Kuldeep Bishnoi of the Congress, who has subsequently joined the BJP. Following their meeting last week, the two agreed to move forward with Adampur’s development.
Phogat asserted that he was a candidate for the BJP’s nomination to run in the by-election for the Adampur seat, which Bishnoi abandoned after defecting from the Congress.

More trouble for Sanjay Raut as the special court on Monday has extended the judicial custody of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut till September 5, in connection with a money laundering case.
Earlier, the court had sent Raut to judicial custody till August 22. The Enforcement Directorate arrested the 60-year-old Sena leader in connection with the Patra Chawl land fraud case.
Raut was arrested on July 31 by the investigation agency and was in ED’s custody till August 8 by a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court.
ED found cash worth over ten lakh rupees from his residence on the day he was detained. However, his brother said that the money belonged to the party.

The penalties increases to Rs 3,000 for the second offence. Previously, the penalties was only Rs Rs 500. The fine for the third offence is Rs 5000.
The authorities have appealed to citizens to avoid riding in neutral gear while on slope, because the vehicle gathers speed and can only be controlled with steering or brakes. Nagpur Center of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will be Celebrating Shri krinsha Janmashtami Maha Mahotsav at Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple Gate No. 2, behind Empress Mall, Gandhi Sagar on Friday.
The programme is being organized with the inspiration of ISKCON founder A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada’s dear disciple and International Pad Yatra Minister Sri la Lokanatha Swami Maharaj.
The programme will begin at 4.30 am with Mangalarati followed by Narasimha Aarti, Tulsi Aarti, Shringar Aarti and Guru pooja followed by a discourse on Shrimad Bhagavatam at 8 am.
Speaking about the same ISKCON spokesperson Dr. Shyamsunder Sharma said, that all the preparations have been completed. He informed that from 10 am, various programs will be held at Nakshatra Hall near Empress Mall, Gandhi Sagar.
There will be the consecration of Lord Krishna. The main program will start at 6 pm with Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
After this various cultural program has been organised by the members of ISKCON Youth Forum, ISKCON Girls Forum and students of Prahlad School.
Maha Abhishek of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath will be done by the donors and guests. A discourse of ‘Krishna Janma’ will be told by ISKCON Zonal Supervisor Harsh Murthy alias Hari Kirtan Das.
Chhappan Bhog will be offered to the Lord in the temple premises and there will be a Maha Aarti of Gopinathji at midnight.

Central Minister Nitin Gadkari seeks Big B's support for Road Safety Mission
In an attempt to further strengthen road safety, Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway has been introducing several preventative measures to curb road accidents.
On Thursday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari seeks support from Big B to champion the cause of the National road safety mission in India.
To create effective public awareness about road safety, the ministry has undertaken various publicity measures and awareness campaigns on road safety through social media, electronic media and print media.
Earlier, in March this year Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway had mandated airbag and electronic monitoring of highways as preventative measures to curb road accidents.
In a written reply to Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari informed that there has been a decreasing trend in road accidents, persons killed and injured from 2018-2020.
The Ministry has formulated a multi-pronged strategy to address the issue of road safety based on Education, Engineering (both of roads and vehicles), Enforcement and Emergency Care.

At Meta, we have always strived to build tools and resources that enable a safer and inclusive internet for women. Navi Mutual Fund Launches India’s First Manufacturing Index Fund
Navi Mutual Fund announced the launch of its sixth fund of this year, the Navi Nifty India Manufacturing Index Fund. This is India’s first index fund focusing on the manufacturing sector. It is an open-ended index fund that will seek to replicate the Nifty India Manufacturing Index, which tracks the performance of manufacturers among the top 300 companies in India.
Manufacturing is one of India’s high-growth sectors, which has been buoyed by the government’s constant support to strengthen the sector. The ‘Make in India’ initiative, Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, and the Skill India initiative are a few of the programmes that aim to put India on the world map as a global manufacturing hub. Foreign Direct Investment (“FDI”) policy initiatives aimed at reducing restrictions have led to an increase in foreign investment. FDI in the manufacturing sector increased by 25% to $16.3 billion(2) in 2021.
Navi Nifty India Manufacturing Index Fund aims to simplify investing in the Indian manufacturing sector. It will provide easy and cost-effective access to the entire manufacturing landscape through an index that is well diversified across sectors and market caps. Investors would gain exposure to not just the leaders of the sector but also to growth in upcoming sectors like electric vehicles, semiconductors, defense, etc., among others. The largest sectors in the Nifty India Manufacturing Index currently are Automobile & Auto Components, Capital Goods, Healthcare, and Metals & Mining. It also has a well-balanced representation, with the top 10 stocks constituting only ~37% of the index. The index has delivered attractive average annual returns in the past – 8.9%, 24.5%, 9.6%, 14.5%, and 14.3% CAGR over the last 1, 3 , 5 , 10 years and since its inception in 2005, respectively(3) which indicates that over the last 10 years the index is up 3.9 times from its original level.

Travel Time From Nagpur To Pune To Be Cut Down To 8 Hours: Nitin Gadkari
In a step to eliminate toll plazas in the country, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari recently announced to install new number plates in all old vehicles so they can be monitored directly through satellite using GPS and state-of-the-art systems.
The centre is working to free the country from toll plazas soon.
“The use of tamper-proof High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) for new vehicles was started from 2019, where government agencies can get all the information about the vehicles. Now, we have decided to provide the same plate to the old vehicles also,” Gadkari said.
“At present, you have to pay full charges even at toll plazas located 60 km away from each other. Now, if you use the highway only for 30 km, you will be charged only half the price with the help of new technology,” he added.
He said, “There will be no stoppage for vehicles and hence, there will be less pollution and it will also save time. With the new technology, money can be deducted directly from drivers’ bank accounts.”
Jacqueline Fernandez Accused By ED In Rs 215 Crore Extortion Case
More trouble for actress Jacqueline Fernandez as Enforcement Directorate has named her as an accused in Rs 215 crore extortion case.The ED also filed the charge sheet against the Bollywood actor on Wednesday.
According to reports ED had found Jacqueline to be the beneficiary of the proceeds of the extorted money.The ED believes she was aware that conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar was an extortionist. Statements by key witnesses and accused have revealed that Jacqueline Fernandez was continuously in touch with Sukesh over video calls.
The conman gifted her items worth Rs 10 crore. ED has attached assets of the actor worth more than Rs 7 crore. Jacqueline was also questioned multiple times by the ED in connection with Sukesh Chandra-shekhar.
Last year in her statement the actor had told the agency, that she received gifts like three designer bags from Gucci, Chanel, two Gucci outfits for gym wear, a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and a bracelet of multi-coloured stones and two Hermes bracelets from Chandra-shekhar.
She also told that she returned a Mini Cooper car that she had similarly received.
The conman is being investigated by several central agencies including CBI, ED, and Income Tax. He has been accused of extorting Rs 215 crore from the wife of a Delhi businessman through fake calls.
He pretended to be an officer from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Law Ministry and the Home Ministry and claimed he could secure bail for the businessman.
Gadkari launched 17 ‘e and Digital’ buses of NMC | Our Nagpur
Nagpur: The Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari launched 17 ‘e and Digital’ buses of NMC Transport Department at Samvidhan Square for the convenience of Nagpurians.
While addressing the function,Gadkari stated that the e-buses would be helpful for the citizens and also help to control the pollution. Gadkari travelled in the bus from Samvidhan Square to GPO Square after the inauguration. Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Radhakrishnan B, claimed that more than 230 pollution free buses would be added in the NMC’s public transport buses.

Janmashtami marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation or Avatar of Vishnu, Hindu God.
