नागपुर :- राज्यातील नागपुरातील केमिस्ट, फार्मासिस्ट आणि औषध विक्रेते देशव्यापी संपावर गेले आहेत. गुरुवारी मध्यरात्रीपासून ई-फार्मसीविरोधात देशव्यापी बंद चे आवाहन ऑल इंडिया केमिस्ट एण्ड ड्रगिस्ट असोसिएशन तर्फे करण्यात आले आहे. यामुळे मध्य भारतातील मेडिकल हब असलेल्या नागपूरला दोन ते अडीच कोटि रुपयांचा उलाढाल चा मोठा फटका बसलेला आहे.
देशभरातील लाखो औषध विक्रेते आज एकदिवसीय संपावर गेले आहेत. त्यामुळे आवश्यक औषधे खरेदी करण्यासाठी रुग्णांच्या नातेवाईकांना त्रास सहन करावा लागला. औषधे ही जीवनावश्यक वस्तू आहेत. त्यांच्या तुटवड्यामुळे रुग्णांच्या आरोग्याला धोका निर्माण होऊ शकतो. त्यामुळे औषध विक्रेत्यांनी शहरातील काही भागातीळ केमिस्टचे दुकाने सुरू ठेवली. परंतु, ती पुरेशी नसल्याने रुग्णांच्या नातेवाईकांना औषधांची दुकाने शोधण्यासाठी संपूर्ण नागपूर फिरावे लागले. तसेच नागपुरात उपचारासाठी मध्यप्रदेश, आंध्रप्रदेश आणि छत्तीसगडसह विदर्भातील अनेक जिल्ह्यातील रुग्ण येतात. दरम्यान, आजच्या संपामुळे या रुग्णांना आणि त्यांच्या नातेवाईकांना अनेक अडचणी सहन कराव्या लागल्या आहेत, तर अनेक जन औषधि च्या शोधात शहरात फिरत असल्याचे निदर्शनात आले आहे.
नवी दिल्ली – सुप्रीम कोर्टाने शुक्रवारी भीमा-कोरेगाव हिंसेप्रकरणी अटकेतील 5 सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्यांची स्थानबद्धता आणखी 4 आठवड्यांनी वाढवली आहे.
भीमा कोरेगाव हिंसेप्रकरणी अटकेतीलन सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्यांमध्ये अरुण परेरा, गौतम नवलखा, सुधा भारद्वाज, वरवर राव आणि वेरनन गोंजाल्विस यांचा समावेश आहे. त्यांच्यावर देशात हिंसा भडकवण्याचा कट रचल्याचा आरोप आहे. याचिकेत त्यांच्या सुटकेची मागणी करण्यात आली होती. सध्या ते सर्व घरामध्येच नजरकैदेत आहेत. पुणे पोलिसांनी 28 ऑगस्ट रोजी त्यांना अटक केली होती.
पुणे पोलिसांनी दावा केला होता की, आरोपीजवळून आढळलेल्या चिठ्ठीत लिहिले होते की, ”नरेंद्र मोदी हिंदूवादी नेते आहेत आणि देशातील 15 राज्यांत त्यांची सत्ता आहे. जर ते याच वेगाने पुढे जात राहिले, तर इतर पक्षांच्या अडचणी वाढतील. यामुळे मोदींच्या खात्म्यासाठी ठोस पाऊल उचलावे लागेल. यासाठी काही वरिष्ठ कॉम्रेडनी म्हटले की, राजीव गांधी हत्याकांडासारखी घटना घडवावी लागेल. ही मिशन अयशस्वीही होऊ शकते, परंतु पक्षासमोर हा प्रस्ताव ठेवला पाहिजे. मोदींना मारण्यासाठी रोड शो सर्वात योग्य राहील.” चिट्ठीत एम-4 रायफल आणि गोळ्या खरेदी करण्यासाठी आठ कोटी रुपयांची गरज असल्याचेही लिहिण्यात आले होते.
निकाल देताना जस्टिस खानविलकर म्हणाले की, आरोपी हे ठरवू शकत नाहीत की, कोणत्या तपास संस्थेने त्यांचा तपास करावा. तीनपैकी 2 न्यायाधीशांनी या प्रकरणात दखल देण्यास नकार दिला आहे, सोबतच त्यांनी SIT च्या स्थापनेची मागणीही फेटाळून लावली आहे.
कोर्टाने म्हटले की, पुणे पोलिस आपला तपास पुढे नेऊ शकतात. पीठाने म्हटले की, हे प्रकरण राजकीय मतभेदाचे नाही. असे म्हणत सुप्रीम कोर्टाने पाचही कार्यकर्त्यांची नजरकैद 4 आठवड्यांनी वाढवली आहे.
तथापि, जस्टिस चंद्रचूड यांनी CJI दीपक मिश्रा आणि जस्टिस खानविलकर यांच्यापेक्षा वेगळा विचार मांडला. ते म्हणाले की, विरोधक सहमत नाहीत म्हणून त्यांचा आवाज दाबला नाही जाऊ शकत. त्यांच्या मते, याप्रकरणी SIT स्थापन व्हायला हवी होती.
मुख्य न्यायमूर्ती दीपक मिश्रा, जस्टिस एएम खानविलकर आणि जस्टिस डीवाई चंद्रचूड यांच्या पीठाने 20 सप्टेंबर रोजी दोन्ही बाजूंच्या वकिलांचे युक्तिवाद ऐकल्यानंतर निकाल सुरक्षित ठेवला होता. यादरम्यान वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी, हरीश साळवे आणि अतिरिक्त सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता यांनी आपले युक्तिवाद मांडले होते.

Nagpur: Dealing a big respite to the commuters between Nagpur and Kanhan who have been ruing about the dilapidated condition of road on the said stretch, Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has directed the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to complete the widening and concretization of the same within six months. The move would also benefit the local residents of Kamptee and Kanhan, The said stretch falls under NH 44.
A division bench of justices Bhushan Gavai and Rohit Deo also asked NHAI to complete a railway under bridge (RUB) at Uppalwadi, a component of this road, in nine months. NHAI regional officer M Chandrashekhar was present in the court and assisted it when the verdict was being pronounced. Petitioner Chandrabhan Singh and three others had challenged NHAI and Kanhan Municipal Council’s move to remove encroachments in the way of road widening, through counsel Shreerang Bhandarkar. As NHAI issued notices for eviction of illegal houses, the petitioner approached the judiciary praying for a stay on their action
Another plea was filed by Shivshankar Halmare and others through counsels Tushar Mandlekar and Rohan Malviya, challenging NHAI’s notice to them for eviction for proposed widening. The judges directed district collector to ask the tehsil Inspector of Land Records to earmark encroachments on both sides of the road and issue notice to encroachers, granting them a month’s time to withdraw. Thereafter, the collector along with with NHAI would take steps to remove encroachments in 15 days. “Accidents are taking place on this stretch frequently leading to many deaths and grievous injuries. NHAI should complete the road at the earliest in the interest of public at large,” the judges said.
The bench pointed out that the proposed widening of road at a cost of Rs 250 crore was a one time measure by NHAI after it was handed over to the state. “Any delay in project would deprive the Kamptee Kanhan residents of good road, which is being constructed from Union of India’s funds. The petitioners are not opposing the development but had contentions regarding its width. Now, their prayers stand satisfied,” the judges said.
नागपुर: कल ही नागपुर जिले की 374 ग्राम पंचायतो के चुनाव हुए। इन चुनावो में कांग्रेस की बड़ी वापसी हुई। बीजेपी को केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गाड़करी और राज्य मंत्री तथा उर्जा मंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुले के विधानसभा क्षेत्र में ही हार स्वीकारनी पड़ी । गड़करी के पैतृक गाँव धापेवाड़ा में कांग्रेस पैनल के 16 जबकि बीजेपी का प्रत्याशी जीत पाया कुछ ऐसा ही हाल बतौर सांसद गोद लिए पांचगाँव गाँव का भी रहा यहाँ बीजेपी हार गई जबकि कांग्रेस की उषा ठाकरे ने सरपंच पद का चुनाव जीत लिया। जिले की सभी एक विधानसभा सीट कलमेश्वर को छोड़कर सभी बीजेपी के पास है। कलमेश्वर से कांग्रेस विधायक सुनील केदार ने गड़करी को उनके घर में हारने के लिए एड़ी चोटी का जोर लगा दिया था।
राज्य के ऊर्जा मंत्री और जिले के पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुले के विधानसभा क्षेत्र कामठी में 11 ग्रामपंचायतो में से 7 पर कांग्रेस जबकि 4 पर बीजेपी चुनाव जीतने में सफल रही। चुनाव परिणाम पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कांग्रेस विधायक सुनील केदार ने कहाँ है कि जनता ने बीजेपी के झूठे वादे का सबक सिखाया है। वही बीजेपी के कब्जे वाली काटोल विधानसभा के अंतर्गत आने वाली ग्राम पंचायतों में अधिकतर कांग्रेस और राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस के प्रत्याशी विजयी हुए है। चुनाव में लगभग 80.27 फीसदी मतदान हुआ।

The fresh NMC move came after Nagpur bench of Bombay high court’s ordered NMC to prepare fresh list of illegal religious structures. A list of newly added structures would be submitted in the HC during hearing on Friday.
It may be mentioned that on Wednesday a division bench comprising justices Bhushan Gavai and Sunil Shukre had quashed the old list of over 1,500 structures prepared by NMC and NIT in 2014. The Justice duo directed the civic bodies to prepare a fresh list, invite objections, and grant them hearing before demolishing them. A vigilant citizen, SN Deshpande, also wrote a letter to NMC commissioner Virendra Singh, government pleader Sumant Deopujari and petitioner’s counsel Firdos Mirza, pointing out omission of several structures from the NMC/NIT lists, which are on public streets/roads and footpaths.
He claimed that the civic officials acted under pressure of local politicians while preparing the old list and deliberately dropped many of these shrines. He specifically named Sheetla Mata and Hanuman temples on the road towards Khamla that are major bottlenecks in the smooth flow of traffic. Due to both the temples, the width of road is reduced significantly leading to severe congestion in the area, particularly during office hours. Illegal markets thriving there makes matters worst for the passers-by while the civic officials and cops remained mute spectators.
The NIT razed Hanuman temple on Thursday itself after warning from the HC to complete formalities or face music. On other hand, the trustees of a temple in Mohan Nagar in Sadar devised a unique strategy to avoid demolition of a Ganesha temple. They removed the temple board and replaced it with NMC’s community centre board.
NEW DELHI : Women of all ages must be allowed in Kerala’s renowned Sabarimala temple, the Supreme Court ordered today, ending ban on the entry of women between 10 and 50 years.
“The practice of age restriction on women entry to sabarimala temple can’t be treated as an essential religious practice,” said the court in a majority four-one judgement. The only woman judge on the five-judge constitution bench, Justice Indu Malhotra, has a dissenting view.
Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra said devotion cannot be subjected to discrimination and patriarchal notion cannot be allowed to trump equality in devotion.
“Religion cannot be the cover to deny women right to worship. To treat women as children of lesser God is to blink at Constitutional morality,” he said.
For centuries, women of menstrual age were restricted from entering the temple as its presiding deity, Lord Ayyappa, is considered to be a celibate. A number of petitions had challenged the restrictions on the entry of women.
“Lord Ayappa is not a separate denomination,” said Justice Misra, who retires as Chief Justice of India on October 2.
“Religion is for one dignity with identity. Right to practice religion available to men and women,” he asserted.
Delivering another in a series of landmark rulings in his last week as top judge, Justice Misra said: “Rules based on biological characteristics will not muster constitution.”

Nagpur : A gang of unidentified thieves burgled gold ornaments worth Rs 1.27 lakh from a house in Jaripatka.
The burglars gained entry into the house from a window after breaking its grill and took away the gold ornaments. Jaripatka Police registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the Indian Penal Code against the unidentified thieves and started investigations.
The incident came to light when Asha (45) returned and was shocked to find the ornaments stolen from an almirah and house ransacked. Thieves struck at the house of Asha Tota singh Dhamani at Plot No 58, Sugat Nagar, between September 13 and September 25 when she was out of station.
Nagpur : Google has enhanced its data on the roads in Nagpur by 20% for its mapping app meant for two-wheeler users. The two-wheeler mode in the map was launched by Google especially for cities throughout the country a year ago. Recently, it has tailored the product for Nagpur by adding more locations, which makes up the extra 20% data.
Google is also relying on a large team of app users, who will be providing data directly to the system, which is collected as they move around the city. The users have been termed as ‘local guides’ who can feed details like landmarks and new roads on their own. They can also edit the data so as to provide accurate information.
The app helps a biker reach a destination by the shortest possible route. Google has mapped all the possible nooks and corners, as well as the narrow lanes through which a two-wheeler can zoom past, but are not accessible for a car,said Anal Ghosh, Programme Manager for Google Maps, India.
The whole idea to have an app especially for two-wheeler users came up as 74% of the registered vehicles in the country are two-wheelers. The feature, which is available in in the latest Google Maps, also gives indications of road closures ahead, he said.
Google’s product manager Neha Waiker said another feature ‘Explore Nagpur’, also has been added to the app. It enables the user to locate spots of users’ importance in the city. This includes locating spots like colleges, hangout zones, services, food and drink joints, she said.

सदर प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमाचे उद्घाटन मनपा स्थायी समितीचे सभापती वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा यांच्या हस्ते पार पडले. तर पहिल्या तुकडीच्या समारोपाला उपमहापौर दीपराज पार्डीकर यांच्यासह प्रभारी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे, अपर आयुक्त राम जोशी, अझीझ शेख, उपायुक्त नितीन कापडणीस उपायुक्त रवींद्र देवतळे, राजेश मोहिते, सहायक आयुक्त (सामान्य प्रशासन) महेश धामेचा यांची उपस्थिती होती. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी पहिल्यांदाच अशा प्रकारच्या प्रशिक्षणाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले असून दररोज संपर्कात येणाऱ्या नागरिकांशी संवाद साधताना तो कसा असावा, त्यातून नागरिकांचे समाधान कसे होईल, याचे प्रशिक्षण महानगरपालिकेकडे नागरिकांचा बघण्याचा दृष्टीकोन बदलण्यात सहाय्यभूत ठरेल, असे प्रतिपादन सभापती वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा यांनी केले. उपमहापौर दीपराज पार्डीकर यांनीही अशा प्रशिक्षणासाठी पुढाकार घेतल्याबद्दल महापालिका प्रशासनाचे अभिनंदन केले.
दुसऱ्या तुकडीचे प्रशिक्षण २५ ते २९ ऑक्टोबरदरम्यान सुरू आहे. या प्रशिक्षण शिबिराला गुरुवारी (ता. २७) विरोधी पक्ष नेते तानाजी वनवे, प्रभारी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे, अपर आयुक्त राम जोशी, धरमपेठ झोन सभापती प्रमोद कौरती, स्थापत्य व प्रकल्प समितीचे सभापती संजय बंगाले, सहायक आयुक्त (सामान्य प्रशासन) महेश धामेचा यांनी भेट देऊन प्रशिक्षणार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधला. अशा प्रकारच्या प्रशिक्षणाने आमच्यातील कार्यक्षमता नक्कीच वाढेल, सोबतच कामाकडे बघण्याचा आमचा दृष्टीकोन यामुळे बदलला असल्याचे मत प्रशिक्षणार्थ्यांनी मांडले. याप्रसंगी प्रशिक्षणार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधताना विरोधी पक्ष नेते तानाजी वनवे म्हणाले, मनपात कार्य करताना नागरिकांशी सरळ संबंध येतो. कधी-कधी संयमाचा बांधही फुटतो. मात्र अनुभवातून माणूस शिकत जातो. अनुभवाला प्रशिक्षणाची जोड मिळाली तर कर्मचाऱ्यांची कार्यक्षमता वाढून मनपाच्या सेवा अधिक प्रभावीपणे नागरिकांना मिळतील. प्रशिक्षणानंतर कर्मचारी अधिक ऊर्जेने काम करेल, असे प्रतिपादन त्यांनी केले.
प्रभारी आयुक्त तथा वनामतीचे संचालक रवींद्र ठाकरे म्हणाले, शहरातील नागरिकांचे जीवन सुसह्य व्हावे, चांगल्या सेवा त्यांना देता याव्यात अशी आपली भूमिका असायला हवी. नागरिक आहेत म्हणून ही व्यवस्था आहे. ज्यांच्यासाठी ही व्यवस्था आहे त्यांना चांगल्या सोयी, सेवा अधिक प्रभावीपणे पोहचविण्यासाठी असे प्रशिक्षण सहाय्यभूत ठरतात, असे ते म्हणाले. रस्ते, पाणी, वीज ह्या सोयी म्हणजे विकासाची प्रक्रिया आहे. आता महानगरपालिका चिरंतर विकासाच्या दृष्टीने पाऊल टाकते आहे. शिक्षण, आरोग्य, महिला हे घटक असाता चिरंतर विकासाच्या दृष्टीने विचारात घेतले असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. कारकून ते अधिकाऱ्यांना सर्वच दृष्टीने सक्षम करण्यासाठी ऑक्टोबर अखेरपर्यंत ४२५ कर्मचारी प्रशिक्षित होतील, अशी माहितीही त्यांनी दिली.
स्थापत्य समितीचे सभापती संजय बंगाले यांनीही अशा प्रकारच्या प्रशिक्षणाची आवश्यकता बोलून दाखविली. अपर आयुक्त राम जोशी यांनीही यावेळी मार्गदर्शन केले.
प्रशिक्षणात ध्यान आणि योगाचाही समावेश
दररोज १० ते ५.४५ कर्तव्य बजावणाऱ्या प्रशिक्षणार्थ्यांना रोजच्या धकाधकीच्या जीवनात योग आणि चिंतन मनुष्याला कसे निरोगी आणि सुदृढ ठेवते, हे प्रात्यक्षिकाच्या माध्यमातून सांगण्यात येत आहे. प्रशिक्षणादरम्यान दररोज सकाळी ६ ते ७ योगा, त्यानंतर ध्यान, राष्ट्रगीत, प्रार्थना यामाध्यमातून लाभार्थ्यांना मन:शांतीचे धडेही गिरविले जात आहे. यानंतर आदल्या दिवसाची उजळणी करून सकाळी १० वाजता प्रशिक्षणाला सुरुवात होते. रात्री ७ वाजता त्या दिवशीचे सत्र संपते.
राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील तज्ज्ञांकडून प्रशिक्षण
सदर प्रशिक्षण वर्गात विविध विषयांतील राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील तज्ज्ञांकडून प्रशिक्षण देण्यात येत आहे. माहिती अधिकार क्षेत्रातले तज्ज्ञ प्रशांत चौधरी, अन्य विषयांतील तज्ज्ञ अनिरुद्ध चौधरी, पद्मनाथ वऱ्हाडपांडे यासारखे प्रशिक्षक प्रशिक्षण देत आहेत. प्रशिक्षणात तणावमुक्ती व्यवस्थापकन, वैयक्तिक मूल्ये व संस्थात्मक मूल्ये, माहितीचा अधिकार, प्रभावी संवाद व संवाद कौशल्य, सेवेच्या सर्वसाधारण अटी व शर्ती आणि सेवापुस्तकातील नोंदी, अभिलेख व्यवस्थापन, भावनिक बुद्धीमत्तेच्या दृष्टिकोनातून व्यक्तिमत्त्व विकास आदी विषयांसंदर्भात प्रशिक्षण देण्यात येत आहे. सत्र संचालक संदीप खोडवे, सुवर्णा पांडे, सुषमा देशमुख आदी प्रशिक्षणाची रूपरेषा सांभाळीत आहेत. प्रशिक्षणाची तिसरी तुकडी १ ऑक्टोबरपासून सुरू होणार असून त्यात तांत्रिक कर्मचारी-अधिकारी सहभागी होतील. चौथी तुकडी ८ ऑक्टोबरपासून सुरू होणार असून त्यात लिपिकीय आणि तांत्रिक संवर्गातील कर्मचारी सहभागी होतील, अशी माहिती सहायक आयुक्त (सामान्य प्रशासन) महेश धामेचा यांनी दिली.
नागपूर : शहरात डेंग्यूचे वाढते थैमान लक्षात घेता नागरिकांमध्ये भीतीचे वातावरण आहे. शहरात सर्वाधिक रुग्ण गांधीबाग झोनमधूनच असल्याने या भागात स्वच्छतेची काळजी घेणे आवश्यक आहे. डेंग्यूविषयीची नागरिकांच्या मनातील भीती काढून त्यांना या विषयी कशी काळजी घेता येईल व डेंग्यूचा प्रकोप वाढू नये यासाठी कोणत्या उपाययोजना घरीच करता येतील याविषयी जनजागृती होणे महत्त्वाचे आहे. यादृष्टीने झोनमध्ये वॉर्डनिहाय पाहणी करून नागरिकांच्या जनजागृतीकडे विशेष लक्ष द्या, असे निर्देश आरोग्य समिती सभापती मनोज चापले यांनी दिले.
आरोग्य समितीच्या झोननिहाय बैठकीअंतर्गत गुरूवारी (ता. २७) गांधीबाग व नेहरूनगर झोन कार्यालयात आढावा बैठक घेण्यात आली. बैठकीला आरोग्य समिती सभापती मनोज चापले यांच्यासह गांधीबाग झोनच्या सभापती वंदन यंगटवार, ज्येष्ठ नगरसेवक दयाशंकर तिवारी, आरोग्य समितीच्या सदस्य विशाखा बांते, नेहरूनगर झोनमध्ये झोनच्या सभापती रिता मुळे, सहायक आयुक्त राजेश कराडे, वैद्यकीय अधिकारी डॉ. विजय जोशी, नेहरूनगर झोनचे आरोग्य अधिकारी डॉ. पवाने, गांधीबाग झोनचे आरोग्य अधिकारी डॉ. मो. ख्वाजा मोईमुद्दीन उपस्थित होते.
बैठकीमध्ये आरोग्य सभापती मनोज चापले यांनी गांधीबाग व नेहरूनगर झोनमधील डेंग्यूच्या रुग्णांची माहिती घेतली व त्याविषयी झोनस्तरावर करण्यात येत असलेल्या उपाययोजनांचा आढावा घेतला. गांधीबाग झोनमध्ये सद्यस्थितीत डेंग्यूच्या रुग्णांची संख्या अधिक आहे. त्यामुळे या भागात विशेष लक्ष देणे आवश्यक आहे. झोनमध्ये शाळांसह घरोघरी जनजागृती व्हावी यासाठी अतिरिक्त कर्मचाऱ्यांचीही नेमणूक करण्याचे निर्देश सभापती मनोज चापले यांनी दिले.
गणेशोत्सवादरम्यान झोनमध्ये विविध गणेश मंडपाजवळ डेंग्यू जनजागृतीविषयक स्टॉल्स लावण्यात आले. या स्टॉल्सवर नागरिकांना जनजागृती करणारे फलकही वितरीत करण्यात आले. शिवाय ज्या ठिकाणी साचलेले पाणी आहे, अशा ठिकाणी गप्पी मासे सोडण्यात आले व काही नागरिकांनाही गप्पी मासे वितरीत करण्यात आले असल्याची माहिती यावेळी गांधीबाग झोनमधील अधिकाऱ्यांनी दिली.
परिसरात स्वच्छता राखली जाईल, याकडे विशेष लक्ष देण्यात यावे. झोनमधील हनुमान मंदिरापुढे असलेल्या लाल शाळेच्या भिंतीपुढे अस्वच्छता असल्याची तक्रार असते. तो परिसर स्वच्छ करून भिंतीची रंगरंगोटी करून त्यावर जनजागृती करणारे संदेश प्रसारीत करण्यात यावेत. याशिवाय परिसरातील कचरा राहत्या वस्त्यांच्या बाहेरच जमा करण्यात यावा व वेळोवेळी त्याची विल्हेवाट लावण्यात यावी. नागरिकांनाही डेंग्यूच्या बचावासाठी घरी व परिसरात स्वच्छता कायम राहिल याकडे लक्ष देण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करावे, असेही सभापती मनोज चापले यांनी निर्देशित केले.
ताजबाग उर्ससाठी प्रशासनाकडून सर्व तयारी पूर्ण करा
ताजबाग उर्सनिमित्त छोटा ताजबाग येथे मोठ्या संख्येत भाविक येत असतात. यानिमित्त येणाऱ्या भाविकांची गैरसोय होऊ नये यासाठी सोयी-सुविधा उपलब्ध करून द्या, असे निर्देश सभापती मनोज चापले यांनी नेहरूनगर झोनच्या बैठकीत दिले. ताजबाग उर्समध्ये संपूर्ण परिसरातील स्वच्छतेकडे विशेष लक्ष देण्यात यावे. परिसरात स्वच्छता राखली जाईल व नागरिकांच्या आरोग्याला बाधा पोहोचणार नाही, यासाठी दवाखान्यांची व्यवस्था करण्यात यावी तसेच झोनमधील दवाखान्यांमध्येही यादृष्टीने तयारी ठेवण्यात यावी, असेही सभापती मनोज चापले यांनी निर्देशित केले.
Nagpur: A speeding Innova car speeding from Chhatrapati Square towards Orange City Hospital Square at Khamla, suddenly crashed into a Maruti 800 approaching from the petrol pump side near the square on Thursday morning at around 7.30 am.
A CCTV camera installed near the Indian Oil petrol pump captured the drastic accident. Fortunately nobody was hurt in the incident.
The red car, owned by Sudhakar Sardey, was coming from the petrol pump and crossing the road. As soon as it reached the middle of the road the Innova coming from Chhatrpati Square suddenly rammed into the car. Such was the impact of the collision that Innova bumped off the road and crashed into an electric pole on the divider.
It was not immediately known as to who was driving Innova.
New Delhi: The most popular quiz game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) season 10 got its first crorepati. Binita Jain from Assam has won Rs 1 crore. The channel airing the show shared a small promo video of the episode on their official twitter acount.
The elated host Amitabh Bachchan can be seen congratulating Binita afer he announces her as the ‘pehli crorepati of this season’. Realme C1, an entry-level smartphone with dual rear cameras and AI face unlock feature has been launched in India. The device made its debut along side Realme 2 Pro at an event in Noida on September 27. Realme C1 will cost Rs 6,990 for 2GB RAM and 16GB storage option. This is an introductory price for the Diwali season. The phone is exclusive to Flipkart and first sale will be held from 12 PM on October 11.
Realme C1 features a 6.2-inch display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a notch similar to that of Realme 2. The phone has a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8 per cent. The display gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. Realme C1 will be available in Ocean Blue and Deep Black colour options.
Realme C1 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor, which can be clocked up to 1.8GHz. The phone runs ColorOS 5.1, which is based on Android Oreo. Realme C1 packs a 4,230mAh battery. It will be available in 2GB RAM+16GB internal memory option. The internal storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. In terms of design, the phone comes with a glossy glass finish at the back.
Realme 2 features dual rear cameras, a combination of 13MP primary lens and a 2MP secondary lens. The selfie shooter is 5MP and it supports AI face unlock feature as well. The rear camera support portrait mode, while the front shooter comes with blur photo feature. The front camera is said to take advantage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance photos. Thanks to ColorOS 5.1, the phone supports clone apps, which lets users run two social media accounts at the same time.

September conference this year will see participants discussing management strategy challenges related to environmental sustainability, green products, clean energy, solid waste management, water resources conservation and responsible as well as ethical consumption of finite resources.
Around 70 participants from a variety of places like IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, NMIMS Mumbai, University of Madras, Delhi Technical University, etc., will be participating in the conference. उपराजधानीत आयुर्वेद औषधांमध्ये अॅलोपॅथी औषधांचे मिश्रण करून ते विकण्याचा गोरखधंदा सुरू आहे. अन्न व औषध प्रशासन विभागाने (एफडीए) तीन वेगवेगळ्या भागात केलेल्या कारवाईतून ही बाब पुढे आली. पोलिसांनी याप्रकरणी डॉ. सुरेश पशिनेसह इतरांवर गुन्हे दाखल केले असून पुढील कारवाई सुरू आहे.
डॉ. सुरेश पशिने यांच्या मालकीच्या गायत्री आयुर्वेदिक औषधालय, सुमन विहार, भिलगांव नाका नं. २, कामठी रोड, जि. नागपूर येथे आयुर्वेद औषध नियमबाह्य़रित्या विकले जात असल्याची माहिती ‘एफडीए’ला मिळाली. त्यावरून या विभागाच्या वेगवेगळ्या पथकांनी २० जानेवारी २०१८ रोजी गायत्री आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सालय, हिंगणा टी पॉईंट, श्री गायत्री आयुर्वेदिक औषधालय, सुमन विहार, भिलगांव नाका नं. २, कामठी रोड आणि योगेश राऊत यांच्या राहते घरी संत नामदेव नगर, साई मंदिराच्या मागे येथे एकाच वेळी छापे घातले.
यावेळी आयुर्वेद औषधांसोबतच इतर औषधांचे मिश्रण करणारे मशीन व साहित्य जप्त करण्यात आले होते. या औषधाचे नमुने प्रयोगशाळेत पाठवण्यात आले. तेथून आलेल्या अहवालात आयुर्वेद औषधांमध्ये अॅलोपॅथी औषधांचे मिश्रण असल्याचे वास्तव पुढे आले. त्यावरून जरीपटका आणि एमआयडीसी पोलीस ठाण्यात डॉ. सुरेश पशिने, डॉ. प्रियंका गौस्तुभ गुप्ते (पशिने) यांच्यासह त्यांचे सहकारी व या प्रकरणाशी संबंधित विविध औषध विक्रेत्यांविरोधात तक्रार करण्यात आली. त्यावरून या सर्वाच्या विरोधात औषधे व सौंदर्य प्रसाधने कायदा १९४० नुसार गुन्हे दाखल करण्यात आला. ही कारवाई एफडीएचे (अन्न) सह. आयुक्त डॉ. राकेश तिरपुडे, सहाय्यक आयुक्त पी.एन. शेंडे यांच्या नेतृत्वात डॉ. पी एम. बल्लाळ, नीरज लोहकरे, सतीश चव्हाण, महेश गाडेकर, मोनिका धवड, स्वाती भरडे यांनी केली.
औषधे आली कोठून?
एफडीएला डॉ. सुरेश पशिने यांनी औषधांच्या मिश्रणाबाबत माहिती नसल्याचे सांगत औषध मे. प्रथमेश आयुर्वेदिक एजेन्सी, महाल या दुकानातून घेतल्याचे सांगितले. या दुकान मालकाने ही औषधे मे. आदित्य फार्मास्युटीकल्स, तिरोडा, गोंदिया येथून खरेदी केल्याचा दावा केला, परंतु तिरोडय़ाच्या दुकान मालकाने हे औषध त्यांचे नसल्याचे स्पष्ट केले. त्यामुळे ही औषधे आली कोठून हे पोलिसांच्या तपासातूनच स्पष्ट होणार असल्याचे अन्न व औषध प्रशासन विभागाचे म्हणणे आहे.
शहरातील इतरही पेढींवर नजर
डॉ. सुरेश पशिने यांच्या विरोधात एफडीएने कारवाई सुरू केली आहे. अशाच प्रकारे औषध विक्री करणाऱ्यांची माहिती घेतली जात आहे. नागरिकांना यबाबत माहिती असेल तर त्यांनी ती एफडीएला द्यावी. त्यांचे नाव गुप्त ठेवले जाईल.
Nagpur : Another sex racket running under the garb of massage parlour was busted in the city by the Social Service Branch (SSB) on Wednesday at Gittikhadan. Police have rescued a 27 -year-old woman and arrested two women, who were running the massage parlour.
The accused identified as Tanuja Bagde (40) and Chanda alias Naku Khaperde (25) were arrested under sections of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking (PITA) Act. The duo had taken the salon on rent for Rs10,000 per month.
It is learnt that Chanda, who is one of the owners, was rescued in a sex racket in 2017 by SSB, but now she has become an agent.
Police had received a tip-off that flesh trade racket was operating under the gabr of Blush Family and Salon and Spa at Hanuman Nagar in Gittikhadan. Thereafter, the cops sent a decoy customer to the shop. He was asked to pay Rs1,500 at the counter before going into a room with the survivor.
As soon as the money changed hands and the decoy customer was provided a girl, the SSB team raided the spot and caught the accused red-handed.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court Thursday delivered its judgement on constitutional validity of penal provision of adultery saying that unequal treatment of women invites the wrath of the Constitution. The apex court’s five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra said the beauty of the Constitution is that it includes “the I, me and you”.
The apex court is dealing with section 497 of the 158-year-old Indian Penal Code says: “Whoever has sexual intercourse with a person who is and whom he knows or has reason to believe to be the wife of another man, without the consent or connivance of that man, such sexual intercourse not amounting to the offence of rape, is guilty of the offence of adultery.”
The CJI, which wrote the judgement for himself and Justice A M Khanwilkar, said that equality is the governing parameter of the Constitution.
The court said any provision treating women with inequality is not constitutional and it’s time to say that husband is not the master of woman. The CJI said section 497 of the IPC is manifestly arbitrary the way it deals with women. The bench said adultery can be treated as civil wrong for dissolution of marriage.
There can’t be any social licence which destroys a home, the CJI said, adding that adultery should not be a criminal offence. The court said adultery can be a ground for civil wrong, a ground for divorce but not criminal offence. Presently, the offence of adultery entails a maximum punishment of five years, or with fine, or both.
The cost of the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway has gone up even before work has begun, with companies bidding higher for tenders than the state estimated.
The 701-km expressway will reduce travel time between the cities by almost half. While the state had pegged the cost of civil construction at Rs 30,000 crore, it is expected to go up by at least Rs 5,000 crore. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has received bids on an average 5% higher than its initial estimates. The project is totally expected to cost Rs 60,000 crore.
A pet project of CM Devendra Fadnavis, the expressway has run into issues since its inception, including opposition from farmers who did not want to part with their land.
While the MSRDC has managed to acquire 95% of the land it needs to build the expressway, it is yet to receive bids for three crucial sections in the Thane district. With environmental and forest clearance pending, the work on the Expressway is unlikely to take off before December, senior MSRDC officials said.
The bids for the project are higher perhaps because MSRDC did not consider cost of additional components, such as building smaller roads connecting to the highway, in its initial plan.
The mammoth project is divided into 16 construction packages, and so far, the MSRDC has awarded 13 of these construction packages — all at bids higher than the estimate.
“In 11 packages, we received bids higher by 3% or 5% of our estimated cost. We have approved these bids,” said AB Gaikwad, chief engineer, MSRDC. “In two other packages, we got bids higher by more than 9%. We negotiated with the bidders and the MSRDC board will approve them soon,” Gaikwad said. The higher bids increase the construction cost by Rs 2,000 crore. Earlier this month, the state government already cleared a proposal to revise the project cost from Rs 49,000 crore to Rs 55,000 crore.
What has added to the cost is the state’s decision to use concrete instead of asphalt as the material for the road. “Earlier, the road from Nagpur, up to 620km, was going to be asphalt. This has now been changed to concrete. The cost difference between asphalt and concrete works to around 6%,” Gaikwad said.
The state also plans to construct a 3-inch thick wall along the 701-km stretch that will act as a barrier and prevent wild animals from wandering into the expressway. “The cost of the wall is estimated to be around Rs 1,000 crore,” Gaikwad added.
आधीच पेट्रोल- डिझेलच्या दरवाढीने सर्वसामान्य पिचून गेला असताना केंद्र सरकारने टीव्ही, फ्रिजसह 19 ऐशोरामाच्या वस्तूंवरील सीमा शुल्कात वाढ केली आहे. यामुळे परदेशातून भारतात आयात होणाऱ्या या वस्तू आणखी महाग होणार आहेत. डॉलरच्या तुलनेत भारतीय रुपया कमालीचा घसरला आहे. यामुळे चालू खात्यामधील तोट्याला नियंत्रणात ठेवण्यासाठी केंद्र सरकार काही गरजेच्या नसलेल्या वस्तूंवर सीमा शुल्क वाढवून त्यांची आयात कमी करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणार असल्याची शक्यता वर्तविली जात होती. यानुसार केंद्र सरकारने हा निर्णय घेतल्याचे समजते. आज मध्यरात्रीपासून हे शुल्क लागू होणार आहे.
केंद्र सरकारने घेतलेला हा निर्णय बुधवारी रात्री 12 वाजल्यापासून लागू होणार आहे. यामुळे आज मध्यरात्रीपासून या 19 वस्तूंसाठी जादा शुल्क मोजावे लागणार आहे. गरजेच्या नसलेल्या वस्तूंची मागणी कमी होईल आणि मेक इन इंडियाला प्राधान्य मिळेल. या निर्णयाचा तोटा प्रामुख्याने चीनला होणार आहे. कारण चीनमधून सर्वाधिक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक वस्तू भारतात आयात केल्या जातात. आर्थिक वर्षात 2017-18 मध्ये जवळपास 86 हजार कोटी रुपयांच्या वस्तू भारतात आयात करण्यात आल्या होत्या.
