Nagpur :- For quite some time now, Raman Science Centre and Planetarium has been seeking feedback from visitors as to how we can improve our facilities to serve the people of Nagpur better. Many suggestions that came up are being implemented regularly and are being appreciated by the people. Raman Science Centre and Planetarium works 363 days a year, with breaks only on Holi and Diwali. There have also been demands for increasing the working hours from the present timings.
Respecting the sentiments of our visitors we have increased the timings of the Centre from 9:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. from the 1st of July 2018. New shows on the Science on a Sphere have also been planned. For schools, we also have planned science film shows featuring new science films and science demonstration lectures at special prices on prior booking, from 01st July 2018. We also have set
up a new gallery on “Water – The Elixir of Life”, which will be inaugurated shortly.

As the audience continues to witness Sanjay Dutt’s life on-screen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, the actor is all set to entertain the audience with his next big release titled Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3.
Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and bankrolled by Rahul Mittra, the film marks the third instalment of the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series. In the film, Sanjay Dutt making a comeback on the big screen in a negative role and will essay the role of a gangster in the film. While Jimmy and Mahi will continue to essay the role of Saheb and Biwi from the first instalment of the film, Chitrangda Singh will play the role of Sanjay Dutt’s love-interest in the film. Backed with an intriguing story of betrayal, lust, greed and ambition, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 can be perfectly defined as a story of royal scandal.
Speaking about Chitrangada’s role in the film, Film producer Rahul Mittra told Mumbai Mirror that the diva essays the role of a woman who is madly in love and everything she does in the film is for love. The producer further revealed that Chitrangada has a special song sequence in the film as well for which she has rehearsed extensively. The song will have a very Pakeezah like feel to it.
The first instalment of the film, that hit the screens in 2011, starred Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill and Randeep Hooda in prominent roles. In the second instalment of the film, Randeep Hooda was replaced with Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan. The film will hit the screens on June 27.

Padma Shri awardee, ghazal and playback singer, Pankaj Udhas needs no introduction. He was really motivated to make a career in music with his first stage performance as a young boy where he sang `Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon`.
Later, while studying Science at St Xavier`s College, he participated in varied inter-college and open singing competitions. After graduating, he tried playback singing but got his first break only after he had established himself as a ghazal singer.
He performed in the US and Canada before returning to India. His first album was Aahat (1980) and he made his playback debut with the super hit song, Chitthi Aayee Hai from the movie Naam (1986). His other hit albums include Aafreen (1986), Mahek (1999), Humsafar (2000), Hasrat (2005) and Mehfil (2006). His noteworthy hits include Mahiya Teri Kasam, Na Kajre ki Dhar, Jeeye to Jeeye Kaise, Chupana Bhi Nahi Aata and Aur Ahista Kiji Baatein. मुंबई में चार्टर्ड प्लेन क्रैश हादसा : मौत से पहले पायलट बेटी ने किया था पिता को फोन
नागपूर :- गुरुवार दोपहर को मुंबई, घाटकोपर के रिहायशी इलाके में क्रैश हुए उत्तरप्रदेश के चार्टर्ड प्लेन में सोनीपत की बहू सुरभि भी सवार थी। विमान में सुरभि बतौर एयरक्राफ्ट मेंटेनेंस इंजीनियर थी। हादसे के बाद जैसे ही सूचना सोनीपत पहुंची, सुरभि के ससुराल में मातम छा गया। पुराने डीसी रोड स्थित ससुराल में मामा, सास व छोटा देवर रहता है।
शुक्रवार को यूपी के बदायूं से सुबह ही सुरभि के पिता सूर्य प्रकाश गुप्ता अपने फेमिली के साथ सोनीपत पहुंचे। सूर्य प्रकाश गुप्ता ने जानकारी दी कि बेटी का अकसर फोन आता रहता था। वह उन्हें समय पर दवा लेने को कहती थी। चार्टर्ड विमान में उड़ान भरने से पहले भी बेटी ने उनको फोन किया था, और कहा कि, ये वाला जहाज यूपी का है, पता नहीं इसे यूपी सरकार ने बेचा है या किसी और ने। हमारे यूपी में क्या इतने थर्ड क्लास जहाज हैं। बेटी की इस बात पर उन्होंने कहा था- नहीं बेटी ऐसा नहीं है। बेटी ने जवाब दिया, मैं चढूंगी नहीं इस पर, लेकिन वह चढ़ गई और हादसा हो गया।
18 जून 2017 को हुई थी, शादी लव कम अरेंज मैरिज थी मामा सुरेंद्र ने बताया, सुरभि व उसका भांजा बृजेश एक साथ कोर्स करते थे। इस दौरान उनकी मुलाकात हुई। दोनों ने शादी करने का निर्णय लिया। उन्होंने अपने रिश्ते के बारे में उन्हें जानकारी दी। दोनों परिवार इस रिश्ते से राजी हुए और 18 जून 2017 को दोनों की सोनीपत के जीटी रोड स्थित एक बैंक्वेट हाल में शादी की गई। शादी के समय करीब एक सप्ताह यह दोनों उनके पास रहे। इसके बाद दोनों मुंबई में जॉब करने के कारण वहीं सैटल हो गए। जानकारी के अनुसार चार्टर्ड विमान में पायलट मारिया कुबेर व सुरभि ये दो ही महिलाएं थी।
हादसे के बाद दोनों के शव पूरी तरह से जल गए। परिजन पहचान करने गए तो पहचाना मुश्किल हो गया था। मामा सुरेंद्र ने बताया कि कानों में पहनी बाली से सुरभि की पहचान हुई, हालांकि मारिया कुबेर का पति पहचान करने से मना कर रहा है।
सुरभि काम ज्यादा होने के कारण कभी-कभार ही मायके आती थी। वह करीब एक माह पहले ही दिल्ली अपने भाई के यहां आई थी। यहां पूरी फैमिली इकट्ठा हुई। पूरे परिवार ने एक साथ सेल्फी भी ली थी। उस समय परिवार ने कभी सोचा भी नहीं था कि बेटी सुरभि अब कम ही दिनों तक उनके बीच है। परिजनों ने बताया, उनका भांजा बृजेश भी पायलट हैं और मुंबई में ही कार्यरत हैं। पत्नी सुरभि जिस समय चार्टर्ड विमान की टेस्ट ड्राइव पर जा रही थी, उस समय पति बृजेश ने ही उसे रोका था, लेकिन सुरभि ने कहा कुछ नहीं होने वाला। सुरभि के पिता सूर्य प्रताप गुप्ता पेशे से वकील हैं। सुरभि की परवरिश बेहद लाड़ से हुई। पिता ने बताया कि सुरभि ने अपनी पढ़ाई मुंबई से की और वहीं से एयरक्राफ्ट इंजीनियरिंग की।
सुरभि देश की पहली महिला एयरबेस इंजीनियर थी। उसे बिहार सरकार ने व हादसे से दो दिन पहले ही महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने सम्मानित किया था। इन सरकारों ने सुरभि को कहा था कि वह उसे एयरबस का लाइसेंस दिलाएंगे। सुरभि एएमई मेस्को एयरलाइनस, एयर क्राफ्ट इंजीनियर एट इनोवेशन एवीवेश्न प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, एमएफई एट डिकेन चार्टर्ड प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, टेक्नीशियन एट इंडेमर कंपनी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड में काम किया। सुरभि ने स्टेडी केदारनाथ इंटर कालेज से की। जबकि स्कूली शिक्षा सरस्वती शिशु मंदिर से प्राप्त की। उसने हिंदुस्तान एकेडमी आॅफ एयरक्राफ्ट मेंंटनेंस इंजीनियरिंग से आगे की पढ़ाई की। मां नरगिस हादसे से बेहद दुखी है। सुरभि मां की बेहद लाड़ली थी। ससुराल पहुंचने पर सुरभि की मां बेसुध हो गई |

Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju finally hit the screens on Friday (June 29), and is expected to set new box office records.
The Sanjay Dutt biopic has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, whose films like PK and 3 Idiots have emerged as blockbusters at the box office. Even ahead of its release, Sanju created quite a buzz.
Sanju had made Rs 34.75 crore on its first day. In addition, Ranbir’s ardent fans are expected to continue to flood the theatres.
This footfall will help the film rake in Rs 100 crore in just 3 days, not unlike Salman Khan’s Race 3.This is quite commendable, considering th film did not release on any festive holiday.
Sanju might prove to be the much-needed relief for Ranbir, who was in desperate need of a hit, as many of his previous films have been flopping at the box office.

या अशा बातम्या आपण अनेकदा वाचतो. पण त्यांची पार्श्वभूमी किंवा त्यामागची कारणं अनेकदा स्पष्ट होत नाहीत. एक नजर या बातम्यांमागच्या कारणांवर –

“आज पहा, रुपयाची किंमत ज्या वेगाने घसरतेय त्यावरून असं वाटतंय की दिल्ली सरकार आणि रुपयात स्पर्धा सुरू आहे, की कोणाची प्रतिष्ठा वेगाने कमी होतेय. जेव्हा देश स्वतंत्र झाला तेव्हा डॉलरची किंमत रुपयाइतकी होती. जेव्हा अटलजींनी पहिल्यांदा सरकारची स्थापना केली तेव्हा तो 42 पर्यंत पोहोचला. जेव्हा अटलजींनी राजीनामा दिला तेव्हा 44 होती. पण या (काँग्रेसच्या नेतृत्वाखालील संपुआ) सरकार आणि अर्थतज्ज्ञ पंतप्रधान (मनमोहन सिंग) असताना 60 रुपयापर्यंत पोहोचला होता.”
नरेंद्र मोदींचं हे भाषण पाच वर्षं जुनं आहे. तेव्हा ते गुजरातचे मुख्यमंत्री होते आणि भाजपचे पंतप्रधानपदाचे उमेदवारीसाठी आपलं नशीब आजमावत होते.
पण त्यानंतर भारतात सत्ता बदलली, आर्थिक परिस्थितीसुद्धा बदलली. पण रुपयाच्या स्थितीवरून मनमोहन सिंग सरकारला कोंडीत पकडणारे हे दोन्ही नेते आता शांत बसले आहेत.
जेव्हा मोदी सरकार 2014 मध्ये सत्तेवर आलं तेव्हा डॉलरच्या तुलनेत रुपयाची किंमत 60च्या आसपास होती. त्यानंतर काही काळ साधारण हीच परिस्थिती होती.
पण गेल्या महिन्यात ही परिस्थिती आणखी बिकट झाली आणि आता अशी परिस्थिती आहे की 15 महिन्यात रुपयाच्या मूल्याने नीचांक गाठला आहे. मागच्या एका महिन्यात डॉलरच्या तुलनेत 2 रुपये 39 पैशांची घसरण झाली आहे.
गुरुवारी एक डॉलरची किंमत 69.09 पर्यंत गेली होती. पहिल्यांदाच डॉलरची किंमत 69 रुपयापेक्षाही जास्त आहे.
पण डॉलर फक्त रुपयावरच भारी पडलेला नाही. मलेशियाचं रिंगिट,थायलंड भाटबरोबरच आशियातील अनेक चलनांची घसरण झाली आहे.
रुपयाची गोष्ट
एक काळ होता जेव्हा रुपया डॉलरला जबरदस्त टक्कर देत होता. जेव्हा भारताला स्वातंत्र्य मिळालं तेव्हा डॉलर आणि रुपयाची किंमत सारखी होती. तेव्हा देशावर कोणत्याही प्रकारचं कर्ज नव्हतं. मग जेव्हा 1951 साली पहिली पंचवार्षिक योजना सुरू झाली तेव्हा सरकारने विविध देशांकडून कर्ज घेण्यास सुरुवात केली आणि रुपयाचं मूल्य घसरत गेलं.
1975 पर्यंत डॉलरची किंमत 8 रुपये झाली आणि 1985मध्ये डॉलरचा भाव 12 रुपये झाला. 1991 मध्ये नरसिंहराव यांच्या कार्यकाळात उदारीकरणाचे वारे वाहू लागले आणि रुपयाची घसरण वेगाने सुरू झाली. पुढच्या दहा वर्षांत 47-48 इतकी किंमत झाली.
रुपयाचा खेळ आहे तरी कसा?
आपण अमेरिकेबरोबर काही व्यवहार करत आहोत असं समजा. अमेरिकेकडे 67,000 रुपये आहेत आणि भारताकडे 1,000 डॉलर. डॉलरचा भाव 67 रुपये असेल तर दोघांकडे सारखाच पैसा आहे.
जर आपल्याला अमेरिकेकडून एखादी वस्तू मागवायची असेल ज्याचा भाव आपल्या चलनाप्रमाणे 6,700 रुपये असेल तर आपल्याला त्यासाठी 100 डॉलर इतकी किंमत चुकवावी लागेल.
याचाच अर्थ आपल्या परकीय गंगाजळीत आता 900 डॉलर आहेत आणि अमेरिकेकडे 73,700 रुपये आहे. अशा प्रकारे भारताच्या परकीय गंगाजळीत जे 100 डॉलर होतो, तेसुद्धा अमेरिकेकडे गेले.
अशा परिस्थितीत भारताची स्थिती तेव्हाच सुधारेल जेव्हा आपण अमेरिकेला 100 डॉलरचं सामान विकू. तेच आता होत नाहीये, म्हणजे आपण आयात जास्त करतोय आणि निर्यात कमी.
चलनतज्ज्ञ एस. सुब्रमण्यम सांगतात की अशा परिस्थितीत भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँक आपल्या भांडारातून आणि परदेशातून डॉलरची खरेदी करून परकीय चलनाची पूर्तता करतात.
सुब्रमण्यम यांच्ये मते रुपयाची किंमत पूर्णपणे त्याच्या मागणी आणि पुरवठ्यावर अवलंबून असते. आयात आणि निर्यातीवर त्याचा परिणाम होतो. प्रत्येक देशाची एक परकीय गंगाजळी असते. त्यातूनच व्यवहार होतात. परकीय गंगाजळी कमी किंवा जास्त होण्यावरच चलनाचं भविष्य अवलंबून असतं.
अमेरिकेच्या डॉलरला जागतिक चलन म्हणून मान्यता प्राप्त आहे आणि बहुतांश देश आयातीचं बिल डॉलरमध्येच चुकतं करतात.
रुपयाची घसरण का झाली?
डॉलरच्या समोर रुपया न टिकण्याची कारणं वेळेनुसार बदलत असतात. कधी त्यामागे आर्थिक कारणं असतात, कधी राजकीय कारणं असतात तर कधी दोन्ही.
दिल्लीत एका ब्रोकरेज फर्ममध्ये रिसर्च हेड आसिफ इक्बाल यांच्या मते रुपया कमकुवत होण्याची अनेक कारणं आहेत.
तेलाच्या वाढत्या किंमती हे रुपयाची घसरण होण्याचं सगळ्यात महत्त्वाचं कारण आहे. भारत कच्च्या तेलाची आयात करणारा एक मोठा देश आहे. कच्च्या तेलाचे दर साडेतीन वर्षांत सर्वोच्च पातळीवर म्हणजेच 75 डॉलर प्रती बॅरल आहे. भारत तेलाची आयात मोठ्या प्रमाणात करतं आणि त्याचं बिल डॉलरमध्ये चुकतं करावं लागतं.
परकीय गुंतवणुकदारांची शेअरविक्री – परकीय गुंतवणूकदारांनी भारतीय शेअरबाजारात मोठ्या प्रमाणात शेअर्सची खरेदी-विक्री केली आहे. या वर्षात आतापर्यंत गुंतवणूकदारांनी 46 हजार 197 कोटी रुपयांची खरेदी विक्री केली आहे.
अमेरिकेत बाँड्सने होणारी कमाई वाढली- अमेरिकेतील गुंतवणुकदार आपली गुंतवणूक भारतातून काढून आपल्या देशात घेऊन जात आहेत आणि बाँड्समध्ये गुंतवणूक करत आहेत.
रुपया घसरला तर काय फरक पडतो?
प्रश्न असा आहे की डॉलरच्या तुलनेत रुपयाची अशीच घसरण होत राहिली तर आपल्या तब्येतीवर काय परिणाम होईल?
चलनतज्ज्ञ सुब्रमण्यम यांच्या मते महागाईत वाढ हा सगळ्यांत मोठा परिणाम होईल. कच्च्या तेलाच्या आयातीत वाढ होईल, महागाई तर वाढेलच. महागाई वाढली तर भाज्या आणि खाण्यापिण्याच्या वस्तूंच्या दरात वाढ होईल.
याशिवाय डॉलरमध्ये होणारा व्यवहार महागेल. याशिवाय परदेशात जाणं खर्चिक होईल. त्याबरोबरच परदेशात शिक्षणसुद्धा महागेल.
रुपयाच्या घसरणीमुळे कुणाला फायदा?
जर रुपया घसरला तर भारतात कोणाचा फायदा होईल का? सुब्रमण्यम सांगतात, “हो नक्कीच. अगदी साधी गोष्ट आहे. जर कुणाचं नुकसान होतंय तर कुणाचा फायदाही होणारच.”
“निर्यातदारांमध्ये आनंदाची लाट येईल. त्यांना पैसा डॉलरमध्ये मिळेल आणि त्याला रुपयाच्या स्वरूपात चांगलाच फायदा होईल.” याशिवाय IT आणि फार्मा क्षेत्राला फायदा होईल, असं सुब्रमण्यम सांगतात.
नागपूर विमानतळालगतच्या उंच इमारती धोकादायक – विजय मुळेकर
नागपूर – डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर आंतरराष्ट्रीय नागपूर विमानतळावरील धावपट्टीच्या दोन्ही भागांत नियमांचा भंग करून उभ्या करण्यात आलेल्या सात ते आठ उंच इमारती विमान वाहतुकीच्यादृष्टीने धोकादायक आहेत. एकतर त्या पाडाव्या लागतील किंवा धावपट्टीची लांबी कमी करावी लागेल, असा स्पष्ट इशारा वरिष्ठ विमानतळ संचालक, मिहान इंडिया विजय मुळेकर यांनी दिला.
भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरणतर्फे हॉटेल रेडीसन ब्ल्यू येथे ‘विमानतळालगतच्या बांधकामासाठी एनओसी’ विषयावर आयोजित कार्यशाळेदरम्यान मुळेकर यांच्यासह वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांनी पत्रकारांशी संवाद साधला.
मुळेकर म्हणाले, चिंचभुवनच्या दिशेने एक तर उर्वरित धोकादायक इमारती जयताळा भागात आहेत. अनधिकृत बांधकाम हटविण्यासाठी संबंधितांना नोटीस बजावण्यात आली आहे.कारवाईचे अधिकार असलेल्या महापालिकेलासुद्धा २०१६ पासून पाचवेळा पत्र लिहिण्यात आले आहे. आयुक्तांशी चर्चा केली पण, हे काम डायरेक्टर जनरल ऑफ सिव्हिल एव्हिएशनचे असल्याचा त्यांचा युक्तिवाद आहे.
प्रशासनाकडून प्रतिसाद मिळत नसल्याने अस्तित्वातील ३२०० मीटर धावपट्टीची लांबी ५६० मीटरने कमी करावी लागू शकते. नवीन प्रस्तावित धावपट्टीच्या भागातही अशीच समस्या असल्याने टाउन प्लानिंग विभागाने नव्या धावपट्टीकडील इमारतींना नाहरकत प्रमाणपत्र देणे काही काळासाठी थांबविणे गरजेचे असल्याचे मुळेकर यांनी सांगितले.

जीएसटी (वस्तू व सेवाकर) विवरणपत्राचे नवे अर्ज एक जानेवारीपासून : हसमुख अधिया
पुढील वर्षाच्या पहिल्या दिवसापासून जीएसटी (वस्तू व सेवाकर) विवरणपत्राचे नवे अर्ज अंमलात येतील, अशी माहिती केंद्रीय अर्थसचिव हसमुख अधिया यांनी येथे दिली. जीएसटीच्या अंमलबजावणीला उद्या (एक जुलै) एक वर्ष पूर्ण होत असून त्यानिमित्त आयोजित कार्यक्रमात ते बोलत होते.
जीएसटी परिषदेच्या चार मे रोजी झालेल्या बैठकीत नव्या विवरणपत्रांच्या अर्जांना मंजुरी देण्यात आली आहे. यासाठी आवश्यक असणाऱ्या सॉफ्टवेअरवर काम सुरू असून ऑक्टोबर ते डिसेंबर या कालावधीत त्याची चाचणी घेतली जाईल व एक जानेवारीपासून हे नवे अर्ज अंमलात येतील, असे अधिया म्हणाले.
काही व्यावसायिकांनी मालपुरवठा न करताच खोटी बिले सादर करून इनपुट टॅक्स क्रेडिटपोटी जीएसटीकडून सुमारे दोन हजार कोटी रुपयांची वसुली केल्याचे उघड झाले आहे. यातील खरा आकडा हा याहून अधिक असल्याची शक्यता जीएसटी अधिकाऱ्यांनीच व्यक्त केली आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर अधिया म्हणाले की, अशी करचुकवेगिरी व लूट रोखण्यासाठी जीएसटीच्या नव्या यंत्रणेत केवळ बीटूबीची (बिझनेस टू बिझनेस) विक्री देयके विवरणपत्रासोबत अपलोड होतील. बीटूसीसाठी (बिझनेस टू कस्टमर) देयकांगणिक तपशील देण्याची गरज नसेल.
सरकारला जीएसटीतून चांगला महसूल मिळत आहे. मात्र दरमहा एक कोटी रुपयाच्या करसंकलनाचे लक्ष्य आपण अद्याप गाठलेले नाही. त्यामुळे २८ टक्क्यांच्या स्तरांतील काही वस्तू बाद करण्याच्या निर्णयावर तूर्तास विचार करता येणार नाही, असेही अधिया यांनी स्पष्ट केले.

NAGPUR: Faced with complaints of air pollution and theft on a large scale, Mahagenco has decided to transport coal by conveyor belt from nearby Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) mines.
The pilot project is being implemented for Koradi and Khaparkheda power plants. Work order for it has been issued and bhoomipujan is expected to be held soon.
Anand Deotare, chief engineer (civil), said that five mines close to the two power plants — Kamptee, Indar, Gondegaon, Bhanegaon and Singhoti — would be connected with them by a pipe conveyor belt.
“This would stop air pollution and theft and do away with the need for human resources in coal transport process. It will lead to saving of crores of Rupees for the company,” he told.
The cost of the project is Rs. 422 crores and the total length of the belt is 16.5km. “The belt will be 6 metre above the ground and supported by concrete pillars. It will look like a small Metro,” Deotare said.
Chief engineer (mechanical) Rajesh Patil said that the transport capacity of the belt would be 1,200 tonnes per hour. “The design is being made by the company appointed to execute the project. The specifications of the belt would be known soon,” he added.
Patil further said that while such belts existed in a few other power plants in the country, Mahagenco was the first generation company to link five mines with two power plants. “It is happening on a large scale for the first time,” he added.
The work order was issued last month and the project is to be completed in two years. “However, WCL is yet to provide us land needed for erecting the pillars of the belt. We hope to get it soon,” said Patil.

विदेश में भेड़-बकरियां निर्यात के फैसले का जैन समाज ने RSS मुख्यालय पर मोर्चा निकालकर किया विरोध प्रदर्शन
नागपूर :- नागपुर के डॉ बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे से भेड़-बकरियां विदेश में सरकार के द्व्रारा निर्यात करने का शहर के सकल जैन समाज ने विरोध किया है। जैन समाज ने शुक्रवार की सुबह संघ मुख्यालय के सामने विरोध प्रदर्शन करते हुए सरकार के इस फैसले का विरोध किया है। बता दें कि नागपुर एयरपोर्ट से 30 जून को भेड़-बकरियों की पहली खेप रवाना होने वाली है।
जैन चेतना मंच और सकल जैन समाज ने इसका विरोध करते हुए आज मोर्चा निकाला। जैन समाज के पदाधिकारियों ने सरकार के इस फैसले को नागपुर की परंपरा के अनुसार विरोध बताया है । जैन समाज का कहना है कि संतरा नगरी की पहचान संतरों को लेकर है, लेकिन सरकार अब यहां से भेड़-बकरियां निर्यात कर इस शहर का नाम बदलने की कोशिश कर रही है। समाज ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि सरकार ने अपना फैसला वापस नहीं लिया तो शनिवार 30 जून को नागपुर बंद रखा जाएगा और एयरपोर्ट जाकर वहां से भेड़-बकरियों को विदेश भेजने से रोका जाएगा। बता दे की 30 जून को पहली बार नागपुर हवाई अड्डे से शारजाह को भेड़-बकरियों का निर्यात किया जाएगा । जानकारी के मुताबिक़ नागपुर हवाई अड्डे से तीन माह की अवधि के दौरान लगभग एक लाख भेड़-बकरियों का निर्यात करने की सरकार की तैयारी है। 30 जून को पहली खेप का निर्यात किए जाने के अवसर पर महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री श्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस, केन्द्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री श्री नितिन गडकरी और केन्द्रीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री श्री सुरेश प्रभु भी उपस्थित रहेंगे, नागपुर स्थित मल्टी-मोडल इंटरनेशनल कारगो हब एवं एयरपोर्ट (मिहान), एयर इंडिया, कृषि मंत्रालय और वाणिज्य मंत्रालय के संयुक्त प्रयासों से यह परियोजना शुरू की जा रही है। सरकार का कहना है कि पशुधन के निर्यात से उस विदर्भ क्षेत्र के किसान लाभान्वित होंगे, जहां कई किसानों ने आत्महत्या की है। किसानों की आमदनी बढ़ाने के लिए नये अवसर तलाशने के उद्देश्य से इस परियोजना पर काम शुरू करने की बात भी कही जा रही है, लेकिन जैन समाज के विरोध के चलते सरकार अपनी इस योजना को कैसे सफल बनाएगी इस प्रश्न का निवारण आनेवाले समय में किया जाएगा l

चित्रटाची सुरूवात होते ती संजय दत्तच्या आत्मकथेनं. आपली गोष्ट जगासमोर आणण्यासाठी संजय दत्त लेखकाच्या शोधात असतो, दहशवाद्याचा ठपका डोक्यावर असलेल्या संजयला आपली खरी गोष्ट सांगण्याचा तोच एकमेव मार्ग दिसतो आणि अशाप्रकारे लेखिकेची भूमिका साकारत असलेल्या अनुष्का शर्माची चित्रपटात एण्ट्री होते आणि सुरू होतो संजू बाबाचा प्रवास.
असं म्हणतात की हा चित्रपट रणबीरनं त्याचं पडतं करिअर सावरण्यासाठी लावलेला एक सट्टाच होता आणि या खेळात रणबीर पूर्णपणे यशस्वीदेखील होतो. चित्रपट संपल्यानंतर दोन व्यक्ती ठसठशीत लक्षात राहतात एक म्हणजे खुद्द रणबीर आणि दुसरा म्हणजे विकी कौशल. संजयच्या जवळच्या मित्राची भूमिका विकीनं साकारली आहे. संजूच्या आयुष्यातील चढ उतार पाहिलेला हा मित्र एका गोष्टीमुळे त्याच्या आय़ुष्यातून कायमचा निघून जातोय याच निखळ मैत्रीची गोष्ट या चित्रपटातून हळूवारपणे उलगडत जाते.
संजूच्या आयुष्यात आलेल्या टीना मुनीमपासून ते मान्यता दत्तपर्यंतच्या अनेक स्त्रिया त्यांच्यासोबत असलेलं संजयचं नातं हेही तितक्याच नाजुकपणे या चित्रपटातून उलगडलं आहे. दिया मिर्झा, सोनम कपूर, करिश्मा तन्ना या तिघींनीही आपापल्या परिनं भूमिकांना न्याय दिला आहे. अमली पदार्थांच्या आहारी गेलेल्या संजय दत्तची यातून बाहेर येणारी धडपड मोठ्या पडद्यावर पाहिली की अंगावर काटाही येतो आणि त्या परिस्थितीचा विचार करायलाही भाग पाडतो. चित्रपटाची गाणी लक्षात राहिली नसली तरी ‘कर हर मैदान फतहे’ हे गाणं ऐकल्यावर अंगावर रोमांच उभे राहतात.
रणबीरच्या आयुष्यातीत त्याचं प्रेरणास्थान आणि त्याच्या मागे खंबीरपणे उभे राहणारे सुनील दत्तही परेश रावल यांनी तितक्याच प्रभावीपणे साकारले आहे. संजयनं दंगलीच्या काळात एके ४७ का बागळली होती यामागचं कारणंही तितकंच ऐकण्यासारखं आहे. मनिषा कोईरालाही नर्गिसच्या भूमिकेत खुलून दिसत आहे. तुरुंगात गेल्यानंतर पूर्णपणे बदललेला संजय दत्त, तुरुंगातलं टॉयलेट लिकेजचं दृश्यं अशी चित्रपटातली अनेक दृश्य थेट मनाला जाऊन भिडतात. म्हणूनच रणबीरनं संजू ला पूर्णपणे न्याय मिळवून दिला असं म्हटलं तर वावगं ठरणार नाही.
विशेष म्हणजे एकाच आयुष्यात अनेक व्यक्तिरेखा जगलेला संजय दत्त उर्फ संजू शेवटपर्यंत प्रेक्षकांना खिळवून ठेवतो, विचार करायला लावतो आणि चित्रपट संपल्यानंतरही लक्षात राहतो. म्हणूनच हा चित्रपट एकदा तरी चित्रपटगृहात जाऊन पाहावाच.

नागपूर : शहरातील महावितरणच्या वीज ग्राहकांना अखंडित वीज पुरवठा मिळण्यासाठी ‘पॉवर आॅन व्हील’ची अभिनव सुविधा उपलब्ध करून दिली आहे. एखाद्या भागातील वितरण रोहित्र नादुरुस्त झाल्यास, ते दुरुस्ती किंवा बदली करण्याच्या कालावधीत तेथील वीज ग्राहकांना अंधारात राहावे लागू नये यासाठी महावितरणने हा अभिनव उपक्रम हाती घेतला आहे.

नागपुरात शहर बसचा प्रवास २० टक्क्यांनी वाढणार
नागपूर : ‘आपली बस’प्रकल्पाच्या माध्यमातून महापालिका शहर बससेवा चालवीत आहे. यासाठी खासगी आॅपरेटर नियुक्त करण्यात आले असून, सध्या शहरातील विविध मार्गावर ३७५ बसेस धावतात. परंतु गेल्या काही महिन्यांत डिझेलच्या दरात मोठ्या प्रमाणात वाढ झाली आहे. याचा फटका महापालिकेच्या परिवहन विभागाला बसत असल्याने, विभागाने टप्प्यामागे दोन रुपये तिकीट दरवाढीचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. हा प्रस्ताव २ जुलैला होणाऱ्या सर्वसाधारण सभेत मंजुरीसाठी ठेवण्यात आला आहे. हा प्रस्ताव मंजूर झाल्यास शहर बसचे भाडे २० टक्के वाढणार आहे.
सध्या प्रवाशांना २ किलोमीटरसाठी ८ रुपये द्यावे लागत होते. आता, त्यांना १० रुपये द्यावे लागेल. महापालिकेच्या परिवहन समितीच्या २१ मार्चच्या बैठकीत दरवाढीबाबत निर्णय घेण्यात आला होता. महापालिका शहर परिवहन सेवेचे संचालन करीत असली तरी रेड बस व ग्रीन बससाठी महापालिकेने चार आॅपरेटर नियुक्त केलेले आहेत. शहरात आॅपरेटरच्या व महापालिकेच्या मालकीच्या २३७ सर्वसाधारण रेड बसेस अशा एकूण ३८७ बसेस धावत आहेत.
महापालिका व आॅपरेटरमध्ये झालेल्या करारानुसार मंजूर निविदांचे दर तसेच डिझेल दर, कर्मचारी वेतन, बसचे सुटेभाग यात वाढ झाल्यास त्याअनुषंगाने वाढीव दर निश्चित करून रेड बस आॅपरेटर्सना मासिक परतफेड करावी लागते. मार्च, २०१७ मध्ये डिझेलचे दर ६२.५७ रुपये प्रति लिटर होते. एप्रिल २०१८ मध्ये ६९.१२ रुपये प्रति लिटर एवढी वाढ झाली; म्हणजे ६.५५ रुपये एवढी प्रति लिटर वाढ डिझेलमध्ये झाली. कर्मचाºयांच्या वेतनातदेखील वृद्धी करण्यात आली. त्यानुसार तीन रेड बस आॅपरेटर्सना मिडीकरिता ४६.९० रुपये व रेड स्टॅन्डर्ड बसकरिता ५२.१६ रुपये प्रति किलोमीटर एवढी परतफेड महापालिकेला करावी लागते. ५ डिसेंबर २०१६ ते फेब्रुवारी २०१८ पर्यंत ५५ कोटी ६२ लाख १५ हजार ८९५ एवढे उत्पन्न झाले. त्यातुलनेत महापालिकेने रेड बसच्या तीन आॅपरेटर्सला १०८ कोटी ९ लाख ६७ हजार ५२५ रुपये एवढी रक्कम दिली. या काळात ५२ कोटी ४७ लाख ५१ हजार ६३० रुपयांचा तोटा झाला असल्याने भाडेवाढ आवश्यक असल्याचे परिवहन समितीने म्हटले आहे.
ग्रीन बसची भाडेकपात कशासाठी?
महापालिकेची परिवहन सेवा तोट्यात असल्याने रेड बसच्या प्रवासी भाड्यात वाढ करण्याचा प्रस्ताव आणला आहे. मात्र तोटा असूनही ग्रीन बसच्या भाड्यात गेल्या काही महिन्यांपूर्वी दोन रुपयांनी कपात केली होती. तोट्यात असूनही कपात कशासाठी, असा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला आहे.

नागनदी वरील पुलाचे महापौर यांच्या हस्ते उदघाटन
नागपूर : मनपाच्या सरदार पटेल मार्ग ते मोक्षधाम घाट येथील नागनदी वरील पुलाचे उदघाटन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते गुरुवार (२८ जून) रोजी करण्यात आले. मुसळधार पावसात छत्रीच्या आसरा घेत जिचकार यांनी हे उदघाटन केले. सरदार पटेल मार्ग ते मोक्षधाम घाट नागनदी वरील पुलाचे बांधकाम नुकतेच पुर्णत्वास आले. उदघाटनाच्या प्रतिक्षेत हा पुल होता. पावसाळी अधिवेशना दरम्यान वाहतुकीची कोंडी निर्माण होऊ नये यासाठी हायकमांडच्या आदेशाचे पालन करीत मनपाच्या सत्तापक्षा ने अखेर उपरोक्त पुलाचे धो धो पावसात “श्रीगणेशा” केला. सरदार पटेल मार्ग ते मोक्षधाम नाग नदीचा पुल सुरु झाल्यामुळे परिसरातील नागरिकांमध्ये आनंदाचे वातावरण आहे. उदघाटन समारोहा ला सत्तापक्षाचे नगरसेवक व मनपा आयुक्त उपस्थित होते.

नागपुर :- नागपुर शहर में दो दिन से हो रही झमाझम बारिश से मौसम में काफी नरमी आयी है, वही मौसम सुहाना हो गया है I मंगलवार से ही आसमान में बादल छाए रहे जिससे दो दिन सूर्य देव के दर्शन भी नहीं हो पाये I बुधवार की सुबह करीबन दस बजे से मौसम के तेवर बदलते नजर आये और बारिश शुरू हो गई I बुधवार सुबह से ही शहर और आसपास के इलाकों में बारिश के बाद आमजन को गर्मी से राहत मिली है। बारिश के बाद तापमान में भारी गिरावट आई है और मौसम सुहावना हो गया है। फिर आज गुरुवार की दोपहर शहर में भारी बारिश होने से स्कूल के कई बच्चे रेनकोट पहनकर स्कूल जाते नजर आये I वही कुछ छात्र बारिश का मजा लेते रास्तो पर जाते दिखाई दिए, कुछ लोग छाते के सहारे अपने काम पर जाते दिखाई दिए, वही कुछ लोग बारिश रुकने की राह देखते सड़क किनारे खड़े थे I पिछले दो दिन और आज की बारिश से शहर का जनजीवन प्रभावित हुआ लेकिन झमाझम बारिश ने गर्मी से राहत दी। एक तरफ बारिश से गर्मी से राहत मिली है तो वहीं किसान खेती की फसल के लिए खेत जोतने की तैयारियां कर रहे है। मौसम विभाग अनुसार इस सप्ताह राज्य में और भारी बारिश के आने की कई शहरों में संभावना बनी हुई है।
मुंबई में चार्टर्ड प्लेन क्रैश होने से 5 लोगो की मौत, प्लेन निर्माणाधीन बिल्डिंग पर गिरा
नागपुर :- राज्य की राजधानी मुंबई के घाटकोपर क्षेत्र में एक यूपी सरकार का चार्टर्ड प्लेन (एयरक्राफ्ट VT-UPZ किंग एयर C90) क्रैश होने से बड़ा हादसा हुआ है। ये चार्टर्ड प्लेन यूपी सरकार का था, जो उड़ान के दरमियान तकनीकी खराबी कि वजह से क्रैश होकर एक निर्माणाधीन बिल्डिंग पर गिर गया। प्लेन के गिरने से बिल्डिंग में आग लग गई। हादसे के वक्त मौजूद लोगों ने बताया कि प्लेन गिरने के तुरंत बाद वहां आग लग गई थी। हादसा मुंबई, घाटकोपर के सर्वोदय नगर के पास हुवा हैl
जानकारी के मुताबिक़ इस हादसे में प्लेन में सवार 5 लोगों की मौत हो गई है। इसी दौरान प्लेन से एक जलता हुआ आदमी भी बाहर आते हुए दिखा था। स्थानीय लोगों ने घटना के बाद फायर ब्रिगेड और पुलिस को सूचना दी। जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस और दमकल की गाड़ियां मौके पर पहुंची। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार प्लेन के क्रैश होने का कारण अभी पता नहीं चल पाया है। फिलहाल पुलिस और दमकल के लोग बचाव कार्य में जुटे हैं। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है। प्लेन ने जुहू हेलीपैड से उड़ान भरी थी। चार्टर्ड प्लेन उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार का एयरक्राफ्ट VT-UPZ, King Air C90 था। प्लेन घाटकोपर में सर्वोदय नगर के पास क्रैश हुआ है। घाटकोपर में जागृति बिल्डिंग के पास एक कंस्ट्रक्शन साइट पर यह प्लेन क्रैश हुआ है।
पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किये कन्हान गैंगवार के चार आरोपी
नागपुर :- मंगलवार की रात कन्हान पुलिस थानांतर्गत गैंगवार के चलते करीब 9 बजे क्षेत्र में देशी कट्टे से फायरिंग की गई थी । इस हमले में रोहण खरे, अमर सोनटक्के उर्फ गब्बर और शुभम खोब्रागड़े गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए थे। इस वारदात में ग्रामीण क्षेत्र की अपराध शाखा पुलिस ने चार आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपियों के नाम गौरव महतो, रिषभ हावरे, मंगेश टेकाम और ललित परिहार हैं। गिरफ्तार किये सभी आरोपियों से पुलिस ने देशी कट्टे सहित चाक़ू, गुप्ति और अन्य घातक शस्त्र जप्त किये हैं। पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार आरोपी गौरव महतो, रिषभ हावरे, मंगेश टेकाम और ललित परिहार ने कल रात करीब 8।30 बजे अपने कुछ साथियों के साथ कन्हान क्षेत्र में पहुंचे। इन आरोपियों ने देशी कट्टे से फायरिंग कर दी। उसके बाद आरोपियों ने रोहण खरे, गब्बर उर्फ अमर सोनटक्के और शुभम खोब्रागड़े पर लाठियों व घातक शस्त्रों से हमला कर उन्हें घायल कर दिया था।
क्षेत्र में गोली चलने की जानकारी मिलते ही कन्हान के थानेदार चंद्रकांत काले सहयोगियों के साथ घटना स्थल पर पहुंचे। घटनास्थल पर घायल पड़े युवकों को तुरंत अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया। इस बारे में सूचना मिलने पर ग्रामीण अपराध शाखा पुलिस विभाग के निरीक्षक संजय पुरंदरे सहयोगियों के साथ घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे। बताया जा रहा की यह हमला पुराने रंजिश और गैंगवार के चलते किया गया। कन्हान क्षेत्र में वर्चस्व की लड़ाई को लेकर आरोपियों ने फायरिंग कर क्षेत्र में दहशत फैलाने की कोशिश की। इस हमले में गंभीर रूप से घायल तीन युवकों को अस्पताल में भर्ती किया गया है। समाचार लिखे जाने तक एक युवक की गंभीर हालत होने की जानकारी मिली थी। कन्हान पुलिस मामले की गंभीरता से जांच कर रही हैं।
Nagpur municipal corporation to launch pay & park scheme on 25 roads
Even as the citizens struggle to park their vehicles on busy stretches of Nagpur, NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation ) is once again back with pay and park scheme.
However it was still not clear where except on already cluttered roads, would NMC manage the parking space. Sources said that NMC has identified 53 roads to implement pay and park. A Smart Parking Project on Central Bazaar road would also be the part of scheme in phase-I, which will also include 24 roads.
Civic sources informed that pay and park is part of the parking policy implemented by the civic body last year. Nagpur municipal corporation had appointed Urban Mass Transit Company Limited (UMTC) to prepare a detailed project report (DPR). Accordingly, UMTC submitted the DPR to NMC, and a detailed presentation was made before the committee headed by divisional commissioner Anup Kumar a couple of days ago.
Tendering process will be initiated now to appoint private agencies to run the pay and park on 24 roads. “Tendering process for remaining 29 roads will be undertaken later,” said the source.
Started on pilot basis, Nagpur municipal corporation had received a good response for pay and park at four locations — Wardha Road between Panchsheel Square and Lokmat Square, in front of Yashwant Stadium, and between Panchsheel Square and Yashwant Stadium.
Pay and park will not be implemented on the entire stretch of the identified roads. Areas at the starting and ending of the roads will be no parking, as also areas on tangents and squares.
Under the Rs 520 crore Smart and Safe City project, special purpose vehicle Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) through L&T had developed Smart Parking on one side of CB Road, between Jai Kalpana Building T-point and Kachipura Square. Tendering process of Smart Parking will be initiated along with the 24 roads. Total 85 car parking slots are available on this stretch of around 500 meter. It will be fully automated, as it will be equipped with embedded sensors.

The pay and park charges for 24 roads and Smart Parking will be different. For other areas, pay and park charges for two-wheeler will be Rs5 for 2 hours and Rs10 for up to 8 hours; Rs10 for 2 hours and Rs20 for up to 8 hours for four-wheelers; Rs2 for 2 hours and Rs5 for up to 8 hours for bicycles; and Rs5 for 2 hours and Rs10 for up to 8 hours for three and five-wheeler commercial vehicles.
For Smart Parking, where only four-wheelers can be parked, the charges will be Rs10 per hour and reduce as the hours increase. Charges will be Rs50 for six hours and Rs70 for eight hours.

Dhadak : Hindi version of the hit song Zingaat releases!
Dhadak : The peppy dance number ‘Zingat’ from 2016 Marathi hit ‘Sairat’ was an instant hit among the masses and the entire nation was swinging to its beats. Now, the song has been reprised in ‘Dhadak’ starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, which is a Hindi adaption of ‘Sairat’.
The reprised song is composed by Ajay-Atul who also composed the original Marathi song.
Talking about the original song, Ajay shares, “We knew that ‘Zingaat’ would become popular in Maharashtra because of its tempo, rhythm and catchy words. Also, the lyrics don’t have any double meaning. However, we never thought that it would become so popular all over India, as well as across the world. We never expected it to be played at clubs in New York or on cruise ships in Singapore! The response was overwhelming.”
For the Hindi version, Amitabh Bhattacharya has been roped in as the lyricist. The lyricist reveals that rewriting the song in Hindi was challenging.
He says, “The Marathi song was released in the recent past and is still fresh in the minds of people. It has also achieved cult status. There was no point replacing the word ‘Zingaat’, so I retained the word and rewrote the rest of the song in Hindi. I made sure that the fun element was intact. I hope people give this version as much love as the Marathi one.” Ajay reveals that there are some differences between the two versions, “The beginning chorus in the Marathi song was in English, while in the Hindi version, the chorus is similar to what we hear in Rajasthani songs.”

Dhadak’s ‘Zingaat’ has been choreographed by Farah Khan. Composer Atul shares, “We were confident Amitabh Bhattacharya would do justice to it. We are very happy with the Hindi version. We saw people dance in theatres when ‘Zingaat’ (from ‘Sairat’) played on the big screen. So, I was sure that the Hindi adaptation will also have that effect.” ‘Dhadak’ directed by Shashank Khaitan, is produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions. The film is slated to release on July 20.

This adventure-comedy film marks Mollywood superstar Dulquer Salmaan’s Bollywood debut, where he will be seen playing a simple guy from Bangalore. ‘Karwaan’ also marks YouTube sensation and Marathi actress Mithila Palkar’s Hindi film debut.
Karwaan revolves around three oddballs from different walks of life who are thrown together on a somewhat bizarre journey, which helps them find normalcy in their lives.

Sushma Swaraj introduces Passport Seva app, Apply anywhere in India for passport
New Delhi: Getting a valid passport will now be much easier for the applicants with the government launching a Passport Seva App on Tuesday. The app, which was launched by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, makes the process for obtaining a passport much easier.
Swaraj, while addressing the officials of several Passport Seva Kendras and members of the Ministry of External Affairs on the occasion of Passport Seva Diwas, stated that the two new schemes – Passport application from anywhere in India and filling passport application forms from mobile phones – would now make the procedure for obtaining passports simpler.
While terming it as a “passport revolution”, the minister said that the simplified new passport application rues will make things much easier for hundreds of Indian citizens willing to undertake a Haj pilgrimage.
It is to be noted that the decision regarding the quota and eligibility regarding the annual Haj pilgrimage is taken by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the issuance of passport still remains with the External Affairs Ministry.
During her speech, the senior BJP leader also stated that the new passport centres now function in separate northeast regions of the country as earlier there was just a single centre in Guwahati.
The Guwahati passport centre catered to the passport seekers of all the neighbouring regions up until now.
“In the first two phases, we announced 251 passports registration centres out of which 212 centres are already established. In the third phase, 38 additional centres were announced out of which two centres have been operationalised,” the EAM said.
Swaraj further informed that currently there are 260 working passport centres, which will be expanded to all Lok Sabha constituencies in the near future.
Ahead of the passport Seva app launch, a meeting took place between Women and Child Development Ministry and the Ministry of External Affairs during which steps that needed to be taken for hassle-free issuance of passport and making the application form more citizen-friendly were discussed.
The External Affairs Ministry is also reportedly preparing a list of areas where new passport centres are to be opened.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 price in India is Rs. 18,990, and it comes in only one configuration – 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone will be available in Blue, Black, and Gold colour options. The smartphone will be available on the Samsung India e-store, while other sales channels have not been announced.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Galaxy J8 runs Samsung Experience on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone comes with a 6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED ‘Infinity display’ with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.
The Galaxy J8 has a dual camera setup on the back, with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor for depth-of-field effects. At the front is a 16-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.9. Both front and rear cameras have a single LED flash. There is 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). The smartphone facial recognition and has a variable selfie flash which allows users to adjust the exposure while capturing selfies.
Connectivity options on the Galaxy J8 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone also has a feature called ‘Chat over Video’ that allows users to chat on WhatsApp and the default messaging app whilst watching videos. The feature, which Samsung claims has been developed by their Indian R&D team, overlays a translucent chat window and keyboard over the video being played. The handset also come with a few memory management features like move to memory card, delete duplicate images, zip unused apps and delete saved APK files. The phone comes with Samsung Mall functionality, and Samsung Pay Mini for mobile payments.

Maharashtra is powerhouse of India : CM Devendra Fadnavis
Maintaining that Maharashtra is working towards becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2025, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that the state was the “powerhouse of India”.
Speaking at the Chief Minister’s Conclave convened on the sidelines of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) event, Fadnavis said the state has come up with an economic model that would put its growth trajectory from current the 9 per cent to 10 per cent to 15.4 per cent, ensuring that it becomes a one trillion dollar economy by 2025.
“The infrastructure-led development in Maharashtra would encompass projects in both urban and rural sectors. Along with construction of 25,000-km state and national highways, we would build a network of rural roads worth Rs 30,000 crore,” he added.
“Maharashtra is the powerhouse of India. The Centre, which plans to achieve a five trillion dollar economy by 2029, would see Maharashtra aspiring to attain its one trillion dollar economy by 2025,” the CM said.
Maintaining that the state’s socio-economic development model is centred on sustainable growth, Fadnavis said: “Whether it is agriculture, infrastructure or services, we have based our targets on realistic growth. In 2025, we reckon the agriculture sector would see positive growth at 6 per cent, followed by industries at 30 per cent and service sector at 59 per cent.”
Across sectors, infrastructure will remain the integral aspect to boost growth and development, he added.
Earlier, addressing the delegates, Bihar Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said: “Rural electrification has changed the lives of people in the state. Till four years ago, more than 50 per cent of the state was without electrification. Today, every household has power for over 20 hours a day.”
Others who spoke at the event included the chief minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat.
