नागपूर : नंदनवन पोलीस ठाण्याच्या हद्दीतील वाठोडा परिसरातील जलाराम नगर येथे एका तरुणाची चौघांनी मिळून हत्या केल्याची घटना घडली. मृताचे नाव राहूल शंकर खुबाळकर असे आहे. या प्रकरणी हत्येचा गुन्हा नोंदवून २ आरोपींना अटक झाली असून उर्वरित आरोपींचा शोध घेत असल्याची माहिती पोलिसांनी दिली.
या हत्येमागे किरकोळ भांडणाचे कारण असल्याचे पोलिसांनी सांगितले आहे. दोन दिवसांपूर्वी आरोपींच्या टाटा एस वाहनाची मृत राहुलच्या भावाच्या गाडी सोबत धडक झाली होती. या अपघातात राहूलचा भाऊ अमित जखमी झाला होता. वाहनाच्या दुरुस्तीकरीता आणि उपचारासाठी राहुलने आरोपी शूभमकडे नुकसानभरपाई मागितली होती. यावरून दोघांमध्ये चांगलेच भांडण झाले होते. या प्रकरणात विशाल नावाचा एक आरोपी मध्यस्थी करत होता. त्याने शुभमकडून पैसे वसूल करण्यासाठी डील करत असताना राहुलने विशालला शुभमकडे पैसे मागण्यास मनाई केली. पैसे कमावण्याची संधी हुकल्याने आरोपी विशाल चिडला. विशालने नितीन ठाकूर तसेच चायनिज टपरीवाल्या दोघांसोबत संगनमत करून राहुलच्या हत्येचा कट रचला.
आरोपींनी राहुलला जलारामनगरमध्ये भेटण्यासाठी बोलावले होते. राहुल ठरल्या ठिकाणी पोहोचताच विशाल आणि त्याच्या साथीदारांनी त्यांच्या जवळील चाकूने राहुलच्या पोटावर, छातीवर आणि हातावर वार करून राहुलची हत्या केली. घटनेनंतर काही वेळातच पोलिसांनी विशाल आणि नितीनला अटक केली. तर त्यांचा एक साथीदार घटनास्थळावरून फरार होण्यास यशस्वी झाला आहे.
Microsoft shut down official forum support for Windows 7 back in June last year, effectively pulling the plugs on the Microsoft Community Forum and ceasing any support from the end of Microsoft staff. It now appears that the company is finally ready to sunset Windows 7.
Microsoft’s updated Windows lifecycle fact sheet states that the company will end extended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020, which means Microsoft won’t release any more updates and security fixes after that date. So, if you’re clinging to your old Windows 7-powered PC, there’s only a year left.
Prior to the cessation of official forum support for Windows 7, Microsoft ended mainstream support for it in early 2015 and announced an extended timeline which ends on January 14, 2020. With that being said, Windows 7 users now have only one more year at their disposal before Microsoft ends all support for Windows 7, prompting users to shift to a newer version lest they risk being targeted by malware or cyber-attacks due to the paucity of security fixes. The end of Windows 7 extended support has been detailed on the company’s Windows lifecycle fact sheet.
Microsoft explains that for regular consumers, extended support includes paid technical assistance, security updates, and paid non-security updates. Microsoft will not accept requests for warranty support, design changes, or new features during the extended support phase. Notably, all this only applies to Windows 7 SP1 (Service Pack 1), and not the base version of the desktop operating system.
नागपूर : पत्नीचे अनैतिक संबंध असल्याच्या संशयावरून झोपेत असलेल्या पत्नीच्या डोक्यावर लोखंडी तव्याने हल्ला केला. या हल्ल्यात गंभीर जखमी झालेल्या पत्नीचा उपचारादरम्यान मृत्यू झाला. ही घटना जरीपटक्यातील गुरूनानक फार्मसी कॉलेजजवळ घडली. पत्नीच्या हत्याकांडात पती घनशम हरीराम गुहीरे (वय 50) असे आरोपी पतीचे नाव आहे.
घनश्याम हा सुरक्षा रक्षक म्हणून कामाला आहे. त्याची पत्नी लक्ष्मी ही हातमजुरीचे काम करते. पत्नीचे बाहेर कुणाशीतरी अनैतिक संबंध आहेत असा संशय घनश्यामला होता. त्यावरून त्यांच्यात मागील अनेक दिवसांपासून वाद सुरू होता. याच कारणावरून सोमवारी रात्री वाद झाला होता. रात्री उशिरापर्यंत त्यांचा हा वाद सुरू होता. त्यानंतर रात्री दोन वाजताच्या सुमारास लक्ष्मी झोपी गेली.
मंगळवारी सकाळी 5.45 च्या सुमारास लक्ष्मी झोपेत असताना घनश्यामने लोखंडी तव्याने तिच्या डोक्यावर वार केला. डोक्यावर वार बसताच लक्ष्मी किंचाळली. त्यामुळे तिचा मुलगा मनदीप यास जाग आली. त्याने खोलीत जाऊन पाहिले असता त्याची आई रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात पडली होती. लगेच तिला मेयो रुग्णालयात भरती करण्यात आले. या घटनेची माहिती जरीपटका पोलिसांना देण्यात आली. माहिती मिळताच पोलिस घटनास्थळी दाखल झाले. उपचारादरम्यान लक्ष्मी हिचा आज बुधवारी पहाटेच्या सुमारास मृत्यू झाला. याप्रकरणी जरीपटका पोलिसांनी हत्याकांडाचा गुन्हा दाखल करून आरोपी पती घनश्याम गुहीरे यास अटक केली.
नागपूर : स्काइप, व्हीडिओ कॉल, व्हीसीद्वारे आजकाल अनेक महत्त्वपूर्ण बैठका केल्या जातात. सत्यनारायणाची पूजा आणि लग्नही आता ऑनलाइन होऊ लागले आहेत. परंतु नागपूरच्या कौटुंबिक न्यायालयात व्हीडिओ कॉलच्या माध्यमातून घटस्फोटाची प्रक्रिया पूर्ण करण्यात आली. मंगळवारी यासंदर्भातील कार्यवाही पार पाडण्यात आली.
नागपूरच्या कौटुंबिक न्यायालयात घटस्फोटासाठी एक प्रकरण दाखल झाले. या प्रकरणातील पत्नी अमेरिकेत होती. तिला न्यायाधीशांच्या उपस्थितीत त्याला व्हीडिओ कॉल लावण्यात आला व तिची बाजू ऐकून घेण्यात आली. खटल्यातील पती नागपूरचा मूळ रहिवासी आहे. तर महिला परराज्यातील आहे. विवाहानंतर पतीला ‘मिशिगन अमेरिका’ येथे नोकरी लागली. त्यामुळे हे दाम्पत्य तेथे गेले. खटल्यातील पत्नी विद्यार्थी व्हिसावर अमेरिकेत गेली होती. अमेरिकेत गेल्यानंतर या दाम्पत्यामध्ये वाद वाढले. ते विकोपाला गेले. त्यामुळे त्यांनी काडीमोड घेण्याचा निर्यय घेतला. परंतु महिला विद्यार्थी व्हिसावर अमेरिकेत गेली होती. त्यामुळे आपण परत गेलो तर व्हिसा रद्द होऊन आपले शिक्षणच बंद होईल अशी भीती तिला होती. अखेर तिच्या पतीने भारतात आल्यावर नागपूर गाठले व घटस्फोटासाठी अर्ज केला. खटल्यादरम्यान त्याच्या पत्नीने अमेरिकेतून सगळी कागदपत्रे ‘नोटराइज’ केली. तिने ही कागदपत्रे भारतात पाठविली. या कागदपत्रांची खात्री पटविण्यात आली. तिने आपल्या सख्या भावाला ‘पावर ऑफ अर्टनी’ (मुख्यत्यारपत्र) दिले होता.
अंतिम सुनावणीच्या दिवशी पती, पतीचे वकील समीर सोनवणे, पत्नीचा भाऊ तसेच तिच्या वकील स्मिता सिंघलकर उपस्थित होत्या. सिंघलकर यांच्या मोबाइलवरून न्यायाधीशांच्या उपस्थितीत या महिलेला व्हॉट्सअॅपवरून व्हीडिओ कॉल लावण्यात आला. न्यायाधीशांनी दोघांची बाजू ऐकून घेतली. दोघांनी घटस्फोटाला संमती दर्शविल्याने न्यालायाने हा घटस्फोट मान्य केला.
नागपुर : महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर उपभोक्ता फोरम ने स्पाइसजेट पर 55,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। यह जुर्माना फ्लाइट के लेट होने पर लगाया गया है। गांधी नगर के रहने वाले रासिक नशीन ने इस मामले में केस दायर किया था। मामले में फैसला देते हुए जिला उपभोक्ता फोरम ने गुड़गांव मुख्यालय को कहा है कि वह एक महीने के अंदर शिकायतकर्ता को 50,000 रुपये शारीरिक और मानसिक क्षति के लिए और न्यायिक प्रक्रिया में में खर्च हुए पांच हजार रुपये अदा करे।
शिकायतकर्ता ने बताया कि वह अपनी पत्नी के साथ नॉर्थ ईस्ट घूमने गए थे। इस दौरान उन्होंने मेक माई ट्रिप से 2 जनवरी 2016 को दो टिकटें बुक की थीं। उन्हें स्पाइसजेट फ्लाइट से बागडोगरा से कोलकाता और फिर यहां से दूसरी फ्लाइट लेकर नागपुर आना था। उनका बागडोगरा से वापस आने की फ्लाइट दोपहर 2 बजकर 45 मिनट की थी और उसे कोलकाता 3 बजकर 45 मिनट पर आना था। यहां से उसी दिन उनकी नागपुर के लिए 5.55 पर फ्लाइट थी।

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was based on the life of former Indian sprinter Milkha Singh but Toofan will be a fictional story. In this movie Farhan will be in the role of a boxer. It has been scripted by Anjum Rajabali of Raajneeti fame. Zaira Wasim of Dangal and Secret Superstar fame has reportedly been cast for a key role in the film.
नागपूर : ‘ओ काट..’ म्हणत विविध रंगांच्या आणि आकाराच्या पतंग उडवून नागपूरकरांनी पतंगोत्सव साजरा केला, तर दुसरीकडे पतंग उडवण्यासाठी वापरण्यात आलेल्या नायलॉन मांजामुळे संपूर्ण शहरात शंभरावर जखमी झाले. यात काहींचा गळा कापला तर काही दुचाकीस्वारांच्या गळ्यात मांजा अडकल्याने अपघात होऊन जखमी झाले.
९ जणांना इजा झाली, यात गळा कापणे आणि गळ्यात मांजा अडकल्याने अपघात होणे आदींचा समावेश आहे.
दरवर्षी संक्रांतीच्या दिवशी सर्वच पतंग उडवण्याचा आनंद घेतात. परस्परांची पतंग कापण्याची स्पर्धाही लागते. त्यासाठी नायलॉन मांजा वापरण्यात येतो. शहरात आज सर्वच भागात पतंग उडवण्याचा उत्साह होता. अनेक ठिकाणी इमारतीच्या छतावर संगीताच्या तालावर पतंग उडवण्यात आल्या. एकीकडे हा उत्साह असताना दुसरीकडे नायलॉन मांजामुळे जखमी होण्याच्या घटनाही घडल्या. वाहन चालवताना गळ्यात मांजा अडकून काही जण जखमी झाले. ही संख्या १०० च्या घरात आहे. नऊ जण मेडिकल, मेयो रुग्णालयांत उपचारासाठी आले. मेयोत आलेल्या चार जणांपैकी एका रुग्णाचा गळा कापला गेला होता.
उर्वरित गळ्यात मांजा अडकल्यामुळे खाली पडल्याने जखमी झाले, तर मेडिकलमध्ये उपचाराला आलेल्या पाचपैकी एकाचा गळा कापला होता. हिंगणा रोडवरून वाडीला जाणारे श्रावण बोबडे (३१) या तरुणाच्याही गळ्यात वाहन चालवताना मांजा अडकल्याने तो जखमी झाला.
पक्ष्यांनाही फटका
मांजाचा पक्ष्यांनाही फटका बसला, मेडिकल परिसरात एक कबूतर मांजामुळे जखमी झाले. रामदासपेठेतील मंगेश बडवाईक यांच्या घराजवळ बॉर्न आऊल प्रजातीचे घुबड एका झाडावरील मांजात अडकलेले होते. त्याची सुटका स्वप्निल बोधाणे, पीयूष आकरे आदी पक्षीप्रेमींनी केली. शालू जैन आणि त्यांची बारा वर्षांची मुलगी सुद्धा नागरिकांना नॉयलॉन मांजा वापरू नका, असे आवाहन करत होती.
The Maharashtra government on Tuesday directed the project proponents of Shivaji memorial statue to stop construction with immediate effect.
A letter issued by the state public works department (PWD) to the project director of the private company, constructing the statue off the Mumbai coast, highlighted a recent Supreme Court (SC) order and verbal directions to the state’s counsel last Friday to stop going ahead with construction till the matter is heard.
“As per intimation of the order dated January 11 passed by the SC, the court has asked the state not to proceed with construction activity of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial (CSMM) in the Arabian Sea. You are requested not to proceed with construction activity with immediate effect,” read the letter issued by the executive engineer, CSMM project division, PWD, Cuffe Parade.
Another letter issued to the principal secretary, PWD by advocate Nishant R Katneshwarkar, counsel for the state in SC, highlighted the oral directions by the SC bench.
“The court has orally asked the state not to proceed with the construction activity… the state will have to file a counter affidavit in response to SPL. You are, therefore, requested to depute a responsible officer to give instructions to prepare and file a counter affidavit,” the letter read.
Nagpur : Three suicides were reported in city on Monday at different locations. In all the cases police have registered a case of accidental death. In the first incident, a 58-year-old man who was living alone at his house in Narsala was found hanging to the ceiling of of his residence on Monday. Ashok Dange, was living alone in city while his only daughter and his wife were in Mumbai. Dange was found hanging to ceiling with a nylon rope by his ne ighbours who soon alerted Hudkeshwar police. Cops rushed to the spot and sent the body to a hospital where Dange was announced brought dead. Cops said, Dange was an alcoholic and he took the drastic step in the influence of alcohol.
In another incident, Vijay Bhagat, 28, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan with a bed sheet at his house on Monday at Dhadiwar Layout. Bhagat was found hanging by his family members who rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) but he was announced brought dead by doctors. The reason behind the drastic step is still unknown.
In the last incident, 54-year-old Anil Dongre allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to the rod on the ceiling at his house with a scarf on Monday afternoon at Misal Layout. Cops said, the reason behind the suicide is still unknown. However, police are investigating further. A case of accidental death has been registered at Jaripatka police station.
Nagpur : The demolition of ‘design disaster’ Railway Station Over-Bridge and improvement of traffic on this road, has been cleared by Union Minister for Road Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday.
The design was discussed in the high-level meeting held at NMC’s Town Hall. The eyesore fly-over has created more mess on this road and Gadkari had publicly promised to demolish it.
The proposed over-bridge and other roads will clear all the bottlenecks on this important road. It will also improve the traffic condition over Ram Jhula and provide seamless entry to railway station. The issue of shop owners situated in front of Railway station has also been addressed. Now, only the issue of transfer of land is pending and it will be cleared in next couple of days.
About rehabilitation demand of shop owners of Tekadi flyover, Gadkari said, District Collector Ashwin Mudgal should take lead in acquisition of Madhya Pradesh State Transport corporation’s land and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation’s land for the construction of a shopping complex accommodating all the shopkeepers beneath Railway Station Flyover.
As per this plan, the Nagpur Metro has proposed a parallel road beneath railway track near Loha Pul. They have also proposed a shopping mall connected with the railway platform so that the passengers would come out from that opening. This will give assured customers to the shop owners. The Ram Jhula flyover will be extended upto Parvana Bhavan to ease the traffic congestion. The separate road will be provided for railway passengers from this road so that the present traffic chaos would become a passé. A separate parallel road will be constructed for devotees to visit Tekadi Ganesh Mandir.
Nagpur Metro has also proposed beautification of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose statue and Tulsidas statue situated at Manas Square. This new concept will clear the present horrifying traffic situation.
नागपूर : शहरातील चार प्रमुख बाजार विकसित करण्यासाठी महापालिका आणि महामेट्रो यांच्यात सोमवारी सामंजस्य करार झाला.
केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या उपस्थितीत महालातील नगरभवनमध्ये विविध प्रकल्पाच्या प्रगतीसंदर्भात आढावा बैठक झाली. यावेळी महापालिका आयुक्त अभिजित बांगर आणि महामेट्रोचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक ब्रिजेश दीक्षित यांनी सामंजस्य करारावर स्वाक्षऱ्या केल्या.
या करारानुसार महापालिकेच्या जमिनीवर महामेट्रो कॉटन मार्केट, संत्रा मार्केट, नेताजी मार्केट आणि गोल मार्केट विकसित करणार आहे. यासाठी महापालिका ही सर्व जमीन महामेट्रोला भाडेपट्टीवर (लिज) तीस वर्षांकरिता देईल. या चारही ठिकाणी बहुमजली इमारती उभारण्यात येतील. येथील दुकानाचे गाळे विकण्यात येतील. त्यातून मिळणाऱ्या उत्पन्नात महापालिका आणि महामेट्रोचा प्रत्येक ५० टक्के वाटा राहणार आहे.
मेट्रो उभारणीच्या खर्चात महापालिकेला पाच टक्के वाटा उचलायचा आहे. महापालिकेची आर्थिक स्थिती बिकट असल्याने जमिनी देऊन मेट्रोकडून विकसित केल्या जात आहेत.
दरम्यान, गडकरी यांनी विविध विकास प्रकल्पांचा आढावा घेतला. पारडी उड्डाण पुलासाठी २५ जानेवारीपासून जमिनी खरेदी कराव्या, अशोक चौक ते इंदोरा चौक उड्डाण पूल उभारण्याचा विचार सुरू आहे. त्याचे आराखडे (डिझाईन ) तयार करण्याच्या सूचना दिल्या. याशिवाय केळीबाग रोड, जुना भंडारा रोड, गड्डीगोदाम ते टेकानाका, वैष्णोदेवी ते पारडी चौकपर्यंत सिमेंट रस्ता तयार करण्याचे प्रस्तावित आहे.
महालमधील बुधवार बाजार विकसित करताना येथील दुकाने तीस वर्षांसाठी भाडेतत्त्वावर (लिज) देण्यात येईल. त्यासाठी आगाऊ रक्कम (अॅडवान्स पेमेंट) घेण्यात येणार आहे. सक्करदरा बुधवार बाजाराचे डिझाईन आर्किटेक्ट मोखा यांच्याकडून तयार करण्यात येणार आहे.
यशवंत स्टेडियम पाडून येथे एम्पीथिटर विकसित केले जाणार आहे. यासाठी महापालिका, नासुप्र, टिकळ पत्रकार भवन, जिल्हा ग्रंथालय, झोपु यांची संयुक्त बैठक लवकरच बोलण्यात येणार आहे. त्यासंदर्भातील फाईल मुंबई मंत्रालयात सादर करण्यात आली आहे.केंद्रीय रस्ते निधीमधून शहरात रस्ते आणि भुयारी रेल्वेमार्ग विकसित केले जाणार आहेत. यापैकी ११ प्रकल्पांच्या निविदा काढण्यात आल्या आहेत. सात रेल्वे भुयारी मार्गाना रेल्वेची परवानगी हवी आहे, तर दोन प्रकल्पाची निविदा तातडीने काढण्याची सूचना गडकरी यांनी दिल्या. सीआरएफमधून या सर्व प्रकल्पांना १८८२ कोटी दिले जाणार आहेत, असे माजी महापौर प्रवीण दटके यांनी सांगितले.
आरबीआय भुयारी मार्ग रद्द
आरबीआय ते गड्डीगोदामपर्यंत भुयारी मार्ग बांधण्याची योजना होती, परंतु ती खर्चिक असल्याने त्याऐवजी सिमेंट रस्ता तयार केला जाणार आहे, असेही दटके म्हणाले.
रेल्वे स्थानक उड्डाण पूल
रेल्वे स्थानकासमोरील उड्डाण पूल पाडून सहापदरी सिमेंट रोड तयार करण्याचे डिझाईन अंतिम टप्प्यात आहे. विद्यमान पूल तोडण्याचे काम महामेट्रोला देण्यात आले. सार्वजनिक बांधकाम खाते रस्ता तयार करणार आहे. या उड्डाणपुलाखाली १७५ दुकाने आहेत. त्यांचे पुनर्वसन करण्यासाठी मॉल उभारण्यात येत आहे. यासाठी रेल्वेस्थानकाला लागून असलेल्या एसटीचे विभागीय कार्यालय आणि मध्यप्रदेश बसस्थानक, संरक्षण खात्याची दीड एकर जमीन तसेच मॉडेल स्कूलची जमीन संपादित केली जाणार आहे. या जमिनीऐवजी संरक्षण खात्याला अहमदनगरला जमीन दिली जाणार आहे.
नागपूर : भाजपवर टीकेची झोड उठवत मागच्या वर्षी काँग्रेसमध्ये गेलेले माजी आमदार आशिष देशमुख यांनी आगामी लोकसभा निवडणुकीसाठी नागपुरातून थेट केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्याविरोधातच उमेदवारी मागितली आहे. प्रदेश काँग्रेस कमिटीने उमेदवारीसाठी अर्ज मागवण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू केली आहे. 18 जानेवारीपर्यंत इच्छुकांचे अर्ज प्रदेश सादर करायचे आहेत.
नागपुरातून माजी आमदार आशिष देशमुख यांचा पहिलाच अर्ज आला आहे. गेल्यावर्षी देशमुख यांनी भाजपला रामराम ठोकत आमदारकीचा राजीनामा दिला होता. त्यानंतर त्यांनी नागपुरात गडकरी यांच्याविरोधात निवडणूक लढण्याची एकतर्फी घोषणा केली होती. मात्र, आता त्यांनी अधिकृतरीत्या पक्षाकडे अर्ज दाखल केला आहे. माजी केंद्रीय मंत्री विलास मुत्तेमवार यांच्यासह काँग्रेसकडे नागपूरसाठी अनेक दावेदार आहेत. राजस्थानमध्ये काँग्रेसचे प्रभारी म्हणून यश मिळवणारे सरचिटणीस माजी खासदार अविनाश पांडे, शहराध्यक्ष विकास ठाकरे, महापालिकेतील माजी विरोधी पक्ष नेते प्रफुल्ल गुडधे, ओबीसी महासंघाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष प्रा. बबनराव तायवाडे अनेक नेते उमेदवारीसाठी इच्छुक आहेत.

Nagpur : Brother-sister duo, in their seventies was found dead inside their house in the Tatya Tope Nagar area in the city on Tuesday, the police said. The police suspect that they might have succumbed to some disease or committed suicide. Their bodies were recovered after the police were alerted about foul smell emanating from the house. The deceased were identified as Mohan Otwani and his sister Shanta Otwani, both aged between 70 and 75 years.
“We received a call around 3 pm about a foul smell coming from the house. However, when a police team went to the place, they found that the house was locked from inside,” police inspector DR Patil said.
“Besides the elderly siblings, nobody else lived in the house. The door of the house was always shut. Both of them might have died three days back due to some disease or committed suicide. But it will be confirmed once we get their post-mortem reports,” he said.

मकान को ऊंचा करने की यह तकनीक हरियाणा में खूब प्रचलित हो चुकी है, मेरठ, मुजफ्फरनगर और बागपत में इसका पहले से प्रयोग हो रहा है। इसमें जैक लगाकर मकानों को ऊंचा उठा दिया जाता है। लेकिन शहर में पहलीबार टेका नाका बुध्धाजी नगर में रहनेवाले हरपाल सिंह मेहता ने इसी तकनीक से मकान को साढ़े तीन फिट ऊंचा किया, तो लोगों ने दांतों तले अंगुली दबा ली।
बेशकीमती समय, पैसा और परेशानी से बचाने वाली इस तकनीकि को हरपाल सिंह मेहता ने अपनाया, उन्होंने सन १९९३ को ३००० स्केअर फिट में १६०० स्केअर फिट का मकान बनवाया। कुछ वर्षो बाद इस बीच सड़क और रास्ता ऊंचा होता चला गया, तो मकान सड़क से नीचे चला गया। उनके घर में बरसात का पानी भरने लगा। इस मुसीबत में पूरे परिवार को दूसरे के घरों में शरण लेनी पड़ती थी। परेशान मेहताजी को किसीने जैक से (भारोत्तोलन पद्धति) मकान उठाए जाने की बात बताई।
उन्होंने इस बात का सर्वे किया और कुरुक्षेत्र से कुछ कारागीर से संपर्क कर मकान को जैक लगाकर ऊंचा उठा दिया। पूरी प्रक्रिया में और कुछ दिन लग सकते है, इस प्रक्रिया के दौरान मकान में पहले आई दरारें भी खत्म कर दी जाएगी ऐसी जानकारी मजदूरों द्वारा दी गई है |
ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA :Virat Kohli made 104 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni an unbeaten 55 from 54 balls as captains past and present guided India to a six-wicket win over Australia in the second one-day cricket international on Tuesday, leveling the three-match series at 1-1.
Kohli posted his 39th ODI century, his 24th in a second innings and his sixth against Australia, to lead a perfectly measured run chase which saw India surpass Australia’s total of 298-9 with four balls to spare.
He put on 82 in 13 overs in a critical partnership for the fourth wicket with Dhoni, which steered India at a cautious pace towards a winning total but he was out at a critical moment, with his team still needing 57 from 38 balls.
Former captain Dhoni played a subdued role in support of his successor Kohli as two players with the joint experience of more than 550 ODIs steadily chipped away at Australia’s total. With Kohli’s untimely dismissal, Dhoni took up the chase and carried India to a victory which will see the series decided on Friday in the third international at Melbourne.
If all goes according to plan, motorists from Mumbai will be able to reach Nagpur in just eight hours by December 2020, a ccording to the state road development corporation. At present, it is a 14-15 hour drive.
With the land acquisition process for chief minister Devendrra Fadnavis’s Rs 55,000-crore pet project almost complete and funding also in place, ground-clearing and levelling work has begun on several stretches of the 701-km Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg (prosperity corridor), also called the Mumbai-Nagpur supercommunication highway, which will pass through 10 districts.
“It’s a historic moment for us. Contractors have already started pre-construction works,” said Radheshyam Mopalwar, managing director, MSRDC. Earlier, MSRDC had planned to commission the expressway by 2021. Mopalwar added: “100% of the project land is now with the government and compensation has been given to around 90% of the affected farmers.”
Around 13% of land is being acquired under the Maharashtra Highways Act, 1955, the compensation disbursement process for which is ending in a few weeks, sources said.The project has also got the green light from the ministry of environment and forests for stretches passing through forest zones, especially towards Nashik. A formal forest clearance is expected in a few days.
Experts said it is a “realistic” deadline as land required for the mega project has been acquired. “But safety and speed control will be the major challenges ahead,” they added.
Earlier this month, around 20 banks, led by State Bank of India, called on Fadnavis and promised a Rs 2.5-lakh crore loan for Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg within 30 days. State agencies have contributed another Rs 6,000 crore for the expressway project.
Google Doodle today celebrates the Anglo-Indian author and traveller, Sake Dean Mahomed, who is best known for introducing the concept of ‘champooing’ – massages – to Europe. Mahomed, who was also an entrepreneur, is famous for building cultural connections between India and England. It is Mahomed’s 260th birth anniversary today.
Mahomed is spoken of as the first Indian author to publish a book in English. In 1794, his first book, The Travels of Dean Mahomed, was published.
Among the first notable non-European immigrants to the West, Mahomed opened the first Indian restaurant in London, the Hindoostane Coffee House, in 1810. In 1812, he went bankrupt and was forced to shut the place down.
But his introduction of Indian cuisine to the West stayed. In June 2018, the menu from Sake Mahomed’s restaurant went under the hammer. The menu, which included items like Pineapple Pulao and lobster curries, was sold for GBP 8,500.
Google’s doodle today features a cartoonish image of Mahomed, placed on a bottle, surrounded by coriander leaves on both sides, along with condiments like turmeric, salt and ginger. Nagpur: Waking up to the nylon manja menace growing rampantly in the city, police have on Monday cracked down on the nylon manja sale and arrested five traders from Sakkardara, Nandanvan and Mankapur police station areas.
Those arrested by Sakkardara police are — Pawan Anil Mahajan (22), a resident of Plot No. 38, Saraswati Nagar, Umred Road Bahadura; Atul Kothiram Devgade (24), a resident ofPandhurna village of Kamptee tehisl; Abdul Naim Abdul Gani (51), a resident of Sartaj Colony, BadaTajbagh and Jakir HaidarAli Khan (28),a resident of Azad Colony, Bada Tajbagh and seized 10 reels of nylon manja from their possession.
Similarly, Nandanvan police arrested Rohina B Mohd Yunus (24), a resident of Hasanbagh for selling nylon manja. The cops seized whopping 756 bundles of nylon manja worth Rs 1.46 lakh from her possession. In another raid, Mankapur police arrested a man and seized nine reels of nylon manja worth Rs 10,000 from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Mahadev Vithoba Raut (57), a resident of plot No. 18, Doye Layout, Geeta Nagar. Offences under Sections 5, 15 of the Environment Protection Act and Sections 188 and 290 of Indian Penal Code have been registered against the traders.
The shooting of Sujoy Ghosh’s Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Badla‘ was wrapped up several months ago and the film is slated to hit the theatres on March 8, 2019.
The crime thriller drama will reunite Amitabh and Taapsee Pannu after the success of the critically acclaimed 2016 movie ‘Pink‘.
And now, the makers have unveiled the first look of the film, which is a revenge-thriller, on social media. In the picture, a man, presumably Amitabh, dressed in black suit and shoes, carrying a black briefcase, is seen walking across a bridge. The whole look gives a corporate-serious feeling.
For the unversed, Amitabh plays a lawyer in the film. The film is a murder mystery, and its shooting took place widely in Scotland.
‘Badla‘ is the remake of the 2016 Spanish thriller ‘Contratiempo’. The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment. This is the fourth time Big B is collaborating with Ghosh.
Nagpur : A married couple, both former JNU scholars now doing research work in Nagpur, Monday alleged policemen broke into their rented flat in their absence and stole documents and valuables worth Rs. 76 lakh.The alleged incident took place last year after which a complaint was filed and a probe ordered and its report is awaited, said a police officer.
Addressing a press meet, the couple, Dr Shivshankar Das and his wife Dr Shipra Ukre, alleged three personnel from the Bajajnagar police station entered their flat in Laxminagar in connivance with their landlord when they were out.
The policemen stole documents and valuables, including passports, academic certificates, degrees, mark sheets, foreign currency, laptop, cash, jewellery and research data, the couple alleged.
Dr Das and Dr Ukre had completed PhD from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and were doing research work in Nagpur from the last four years.They alleged the incident took place on September 9, 2018 when the policemen entered their flat while acting on a false complaint filed against them by their landlord Tushar Lamge.
The cops cut and broke the lock of the rented flat without their knowledge or any inquiry, the couple said. They obtained the names of the accused policemen through an RTI query.The couple alleged that after breaking the lock, they stole research data, manuscripts and valuables collectively worth Rs. 76 lakh from the flat.The rest of the household items were thrown all over the apartment, stairs and terrace, Dr Das said.
“The police did not do any panchnama (a record of witness testimony). When we came back home from Delhi and noticed the devastation, we called the police on 100 and later approached Bajajnagar police station to register an offence. The senior police inspector there said it was a Sunday and the staff was not available to prepare an FIR,” he claimed.
“We approached Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kadam and after his intervention our complaint was registered under IPC sections 448, 341 and 34 (related to house-trespass, wrongful restraint and a criminal act is done by several persons),” Dr Das said.
When contacted, a top police officer told PTI that the landlord and the couple were involved in a dispute.Mr Lamge wanted the couple to vacate the flat and had given an application to the police in this regard, he said.
After the incident, a First Information Report or FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the tenants, the officer said.The ACP Crime Branch had conducted an inquiry into the complaint, he said.
Nagpur:Nitin Gadkari, Union transport minister and city MP, has been claiming he has ensured all round development of the city by starting works worth Rs 68,000 crore. His claims will be tested in three to four months.
The minister denied claims of Opposition that Mihan is a white elephant. “At present, it is directly employing 15,187 people and has provided indirect employment to another 45,000. Nagpur Metro has provided direct and indirect jobs to 11,110 people. Another 1,500 are working in Ceat Tyres and Saz Foods units in Butibori MIDC, which set shop during our regime. The expansion of these two is on cards. Work on Phase II of Nagpur Metro will start soon. So, the construction jobs will remain. More phases of Metro will come up in future,” he said.
Another 25,000 jobs will be generated in Mihan this year. Patanjali Ayurved’s plant is also complete and will start production in three to four months. It will employ 10,000 people in phases. Many software companies have major expansion on cards. HCL has 700 employees, will recruit another 1,000 in couple of month. HCL top bosses have told me they have plans to increase the employee strength in Mihan to 12,000 over next two years.
MahaMetro will start a coach manufacturing unit near the dry port in Wardha district in association with state government, Central government and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT). It will provide jobs to hundreds of people.

नागपूर : अपघात झाल्यानंतर दीड महिने उपचार घेतला. बरा होताच नागपुरात येऊन चेनस्नॅचिंग करणाऱ्या कुख्यात ३४ वर्षीय सोनसाखळी चोराला गुन्हे शाखा पोलिसांनी अटक केली. भारत गुरदासमल वासवानी रा.खडगाव, अमरावती,असे चोरट्याचे नाव आहे.
रविवारी सायंकाळी ६२ वर्षीय रघुनंदिनी सुंदरम रंजन या पायी जात होत्या. शिवाजीनगर भागात मोटरसायकलवर आलेल्या लुटारुने त्यांच्या गळ्यातील ६८ ग्रॅमची सोनसाखळी हिसकावली व पसार झाला. रंजन यांनी अंबाझरी पोलिस स्टेशन गाठून तक्रार दिली.
वरिष्ठ पोलिस निरीक्षक भीमराव खंदाळे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली पोलिसांनी जबरी चोरीचा गुन्हा दाखल केला. घटनेची माहिती मिळताच गुन्हे शाखेचे सहायक पोलिस निरीक्षक ज्ञानेश्वर भेदोडकर, उपनिरीक्षक मंगला मोकाशे, राजेंद्र बघेल, हेडकॉन्स्टेबल शैलेश ठवरे, सुरेश हिंगणेकर, अनिल दुबे, अतुल दवंडे, श्याम कडू व शरीफ शेख यांनीही अंबाझरी पोलिस स्टेशन गाठले. अंबाझरी पोलिसांच्या मदतीने गुन्हे शाखा पोलिसांनी वाडी भागातून वासवानी याला अटक केली. त्याच्याकडून सोनसाखळी जप्त केली.
नागपूर : राज्याचे माजी पोलिस महासंचालक तसेच एकेकाळी शहराचे पोलिस आयुक्त असलेले प्रबीरकुमार चक्रवर्ती यांच्या घरी चोरी झाल्याने पोलिस यंत्रणा हादरली आहे. सीताबर्डी पोलिसांनी चोरीचा गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे. पोलिस दलातील बड्या अधिकाऱ्यांच्या घरी चोरी झाल्याने पुन्हा एकदा शहराच्या सुरक्षेवर प्रश्न उपस्थित केल्या जात आहे.
प्रबीरकुमार चक्रवर्ती धरमपेठेतील झेंडा चौकात राहतात. त्यांच्या प्रशस्त इमारतीत तिसऱ्या व चौथ्या माळ्यावर दोन मंदिरे आहेत. एक पंडित नेहमी पूजा करण्यासाठी त्यांच्याकडे येतो. रविवारी सकाळी पंडित पूजा करायला आले. मंदिरातील सोन्याची गणपतीची मूर्ती व अन्य साहित्य तेथे नसल्याचे त्यांना दिसले. त्यांनी नोकरांकडे विचारणा केली. मात्र, कोणालाच याची माहिती नव्हती. त्यानंतर पंडिताने चक्रवर्ती यांना माहिती दिली. त्यांनी दोन्ही मंदिरांतील साहित्य तपासले. मंदिरातील सोन्याच्या मूर्तीसह सोन्याचे नाणे, चांदीची पेटी व चांदीची पादुकाही गायब असल्यासाचे त्यांना आढळले. सुरुवातीला त्यांनी घरातच या साहित्यांचा शोध घेतला. मात्र चोरीला गेल्याचे स्पष्ट होताच त्यांनी सीताबर्डी पोलिसांना घटनेची माहिती दिली. माहिती मिळताच सीताबर्डी पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला.
नोकरावर संशय
चक्रवर्ती यांच्याकडे काम करणाऱ्या नोकराने चार दिवसांपूर्वीच काम सोडले. त्यानेच ही चोरी केल्याचा संशय आहे. नोकर हा पश्चिम बंगालमधील रहिवासी आहे. सीताबर्डी पोलिसांनी चोरीचा गुन्हा दाखल करून चोराचा शोध सुरू केला आहे. लवकरच पोलिस त्याच्या शोधासाठी पश्चिम बंगालला जाणार आहे.
Nagpur: “District Planning Committee (DPC) is seeking additional outlay of Rs 200 crore from State Government to carry out infrastructure works in city and district. Last year, the State had given Rs 650 crore. The entire sum will be fully utilised by on various ongoing works by March end,” said State’s Finance Minister and Guardian Minister of Nagpur District Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
He was speaking at a review meeting at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall on Monday. “For the next year, however, the DPC has approved development proposals worth Rs 420 crore only,” he informed the meeting.
The Guardian Minister has proposed several new works including that of interlinking of nullahs in the district. Public representatives from Nagpur city, present in the meeting, wanted extra allocation to start development projects in their respective areas. With several new works proposed, including in tourism and other sectors, the DPC has decided to seek higher allocation from the State Government.
State’s Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar will chair the meeting of DPC in city on January 19 and will go through the demands seeking extra funds for the year 2019-20.
Bawankule said that Nagpur DPC is only second in utilisation per centage of its allocation and first to complete total usage of funds meant for Adivasis. From point of view of DPC, Bawankule said that State Government has accepted its demand to take care of salaries under Adivasi head. So nearly Rs 14 crore of funds would now be utilised for development as State will bear salary expenditure of employees.
नागपूर : सीताबर्डीतील रेणुकामाता बहुद्देशीय सहकारी नागरी पतसंस्थेतील ग्राहक असलेल्या रिक्षाचालकाच्या नावे तब्बल ५० कोटी व त्यापेक्षा अधिकची रक्कम जमा करून बँकिंग हवाला करण्यात आला. त्यानंतर हीच रक्कम राष्ट्रीयीकृत बँकेच्या शाखेतून हाँगकाँगमधील बँकेत विशिष्ट ‘पेमेंट गेटवे’द्वारे वळती करण्यात आली.
मच्छिंद्र खाडे हे १०११ ते २०१३ या कालावधीत पतसंस्थेत कार्यरत होते. या कालावधीत त्यांची मध्य भारतातील सर्वात मोठा हवाला व्यापारी ‘जयेश हवालावाला’ याच्यासोबत ओळख झाली. जयेश हा विदेशातही हवाला करतो. त्यामुळे त्याने खाडे यांच्याशी जवळीक साधली. पतसंस्थेची कार्यालयीन वेळ संपताच जयेश हा खाडे यांना नागपुरातील बड्या हॉटेलमध्ये पार्टी देत होता. त्यानंतर खाडे यांच्या मदतीने संस्थेतील ग्राहक असलेले रिक्षाचालक, ऑटोचालक, कामगार व अन्य ग्राहकांच्या खात्यामध्ये हवालाची मोठी रक्कम जमा करत होता. त्यानंतर ही रक्कम राष्ट्रीयीकृत बँकेतील व्यवस्थापकाच्या मदतीने एका विशिष्ट ‘पेमेंट गेटवे’द्वारे हाँगकाँगमधील बँकेत वळवण्यात येत होती. ही हवाल्याची रक्कम हाँगकाँगमधून विदेशातील एजन्टपर्यंत पोहोचवण्यात येत होती. आर्थिकदृष्ट्या कमकुवत असलेल्या असलेल्या खातेधारकांच्या खात्यांमार्फत जयेशने आतापर्यंत सुमारे आठ हजार कोटी रुपयांपेक्षा अधिकची रक्कम हाँगकाँगमध्ये वळती केल्याची माहिती खास सूत्राने ‘मटा’ला दिली.

‘ईडी’ने योगेश्वर डायमंड प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड, मे. श्री चारभुजा डायमंड प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड व मे. कनिका जेम्स प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेडविरुद्ध मनीलॉड्रिंग अॅक्टअन्वये गुन्हा दाखल केला. अनिल चोखरा, संजय जैन (माजी संचालक रघुकुलल डायमंड्स) व हाँगकाँग येथील मे स्कायलाइट आणि लिंक फै कंपनीचे संचालक सौरभ पंडित यांना अटक केली. या प्रकरणाच्या तपासादरम्यान खाडे यांच्या मध्यस्थीने बँकिंग हवाला झाल्याचे स्पष्ट होताच ‘ईडी’ने शुक्रवारी त्यांना अटक केली होती. या कंपन्या विदेशात हिऱ्यांची आयात निर्यात करतात. या कंपन्यांच्या संपर्कात असलेला जयेश हा हवालाचा पैसा रेणुकामाता पतसंस्थेतील ग्राहकांच्या नावाचा वापर करून विदेशात पाठवत होता,असेही तपासादरम्यान समोर आले आहे.
लाखावर ५० रुपये कमिशन
हवालाचा पैसा बँकिंग हवालाद्वारे विदेशात पाठवण्यासाठी जयेश याला खाडे याच्यांसह राष्ट्रीयीकृत बँकेचा व्यवस्थापकही मदत करीत होता. हवाल्याची एक लाखाची रोख अन्यत्र पोहोचविण्यासाठी आधी ३०० रुपये द्यावे लागत होते. आता यात वाढ झाली आहे. प्रत्येकी एक लाखामागे आता ५०० रुपये मोजावे लागतात. जयेश याने या कमिशनमध्येही स्वत:चा वाटा ठेवला होता. बँकिंग हवालाद्वारे तो विदेशात व बँकेच्या देशभरातील शाखेमार्फत हवाला करीत होता. यासाठी खाडे यांना लाखामागे ५० रुपये व व्यवस्थापकाला लाखामागे ७५ रुपये कमिशन देत होता. हवालाची रक्कम कोट्यवधीत असल्याने खाडे व व्यवस्थापकाने जयेशसोबत हातमिळवणी केली. या बँकिंग हवालाने खाडे व व्यवस्थापकाने कोट्यवधी रुपयांची माया जमविली.
आयकर विभागाकडून चौकशी
रेणुकामाता पतसंस्थेतील ग्राहकांच्या खात्यातून झालेल्या कोट्यवधी रुपयांच्या व्यवहाराची आयकर विभागानेही चौकशी सुरू केली आहे. नऊ महिन्यांपासून आयकर विभाग या प्रकरणाची चौकशी करीत असून, अद्यापही ठोस निष्कर्षापर्यंत न पोहोचल्याने आश्चर्य व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे.

यावेळी शहरात लेझीम पथकाद्वारे मेट्रो कोचेसचे भव्य स्वागत करण्यात आले. मेट्रो कोचेस आज शहरात दाखल होताच रोटरी क्लब चे लेझीम पथकाद्वारे भव्य स्वागत करण्यात आले .
नागपुर (प्रतिनिधी) : खापा घुडणं येथूनच अगदी ५ किमी च्या अंतरावर असलेले गाव हिवरमठ (ता. नरखेड) येथील हिवरमठ शिवारात भक्ष्याच्या शोधात असलेला बिबट्या विहिरीत पडला. ही घटना सोमवार ला घडली, परिसरातील ग्रामस्थांसह शेतकर्यांना या घटनेची माहिती मिळताच बिबट्याला बघायला मोठी गर्दी झाली. माहिती नुसार हिवरमठ परिसरात गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून बिबट्याचा वावर होता. बिबट्या भक्ष्याच्या शोधात असताना विहिरीत पडला असावा असा अंदाज वर्तवण्यात येत आहे.
हिवरमठ येथील शेतकरी पूरुषोत्म गोरे यांचे शेत गावा लगत असून येथे विहीर आहे.सोमवारी शेतात आंघोळ करण्यासाठी काही लोक गेले असता गोरे यांच्या विहिरीत बिबट्या अडकल्याचे निदर्शनास आले. हिवरमठ परिसरात सैय्यद मुमताजअली सांचेपीर औलीया जूलूस चा कार्यक्रम दर वर्षी मोठ्या प्रमाणात परिसरातील नागरीक साजरा करत असतात त्यासाठी शनिवार पासुन तयारी चालू होती हजारोच्या संख्येत नागरीक या जूलूस मध्ये सहभागी होतात..याच तयारी करीता थांबलेले काही युवक आंघोळी साठी गोरे यांच्या शेतातील विहीरीवरती गेले त्याना बिबट असल्याचे दिसताच त्यानी त्वरित या घटनेची माहिती वनविभागला दिली. वनविभागाचे कर्मचारी घटनास्थळी दाखल झाले. वन परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी नरखेड कांतेश्वर बोलके यानी घटणेची माहीती मिळताच व लोकांची गर्दी पाहता पोलिस व रेस्क्यू टिमला बोलावले .विहीरीत पडलेल्या बिबट ला बघण्यासाठी लोकांची गर्दी लोटलेली होती. तब्बल २ तासाच्या अथक प्रयत्नाने रेस्क्यू टिमला यश आले .
विहिरीत पडलेल्या बिबटला काढण्यासाठी नागपूर वरुन रेस्क्यू टिमला बोलावणे केले होते. बिबट्या काढणे अवघड असल्याने पाचारण केलेल्या टिमला सुध्दा सहजशक्य नव्हते. बिबट ला काढणसाठी २ तास रेस्क्यू टिमला तारेवरची सरकस करावी लागली. २ तासानंतर रेस्क्यु टिमला बिबट काढण्यात यश आले. बिबट हा शिकार करण्याच्या हेतूने विहीरीत पडला असा अंदाज वन अधिकारी यांनी दाखवला या भागात बिबट असल्या बाबत गाव डवंडी माध्यमातून सुचना देण्याचे काम सुरू होते.
विहिरीत पडलेला बिबट नर जातीतील असून बिबटचे वय ४ वर्ष अं.असुन जवळ पास ६५ त ७० किलो वजन असल्याचे सांगितले जाते. बिबटला प्रथम उपचारासाठी नागपूर येथे पाठवण्यात आले. यावेळी वन विभागातील वन परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी नरखेडचे कांतेश्वर बोलके, एस.एन.सीरसागर सा.व.स्व.नागपूर /काटोल,डॉ बीलाल पशु अधिकारी, सै.निशा देशमुख , मुंडे, सुझेन चाटे ,मोरेश्वर काबळे ,दिपक अतरकर, रघूनाथ बागडे, महादेव सहारे, गौतम मडके, घटणास्थळी ऊपस्थित होते.
Nagpur : The five day annual event – Comp-Ex 2019 exhibition – of the Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealers’ Welfare Association (VCMDWA) concluded here on Monday.
The 27th edition of the exhibition held at St. Ursula Girls’ High School Ground, opposite old VCA Stadium, Civil Lines, was a big hit from various angles. It received overwhelming response from the visitors. Besides, the exhibitors also succeeded in effectively showcasing their products and services and subsequently generating business from them.
Apart from this, the response was so encouraging for the organisers that they have felt that they would require more space to organise the event next year.
Though the organizers matched their standard of Comp-Ex in terms of number of participants and meticulous arrangements, yet some regular events like project competition, etc. could not be taken up due to space constraints. To overcome this small venue challenge, the Comp-Ex Organising Committee has decided to stage Comp-Ex at a bigger venue in 2020.
Although it was a Monday (the last day of the event), the footfall was as overwhelming and as good as seen during the weekend. Not to miss out on good offer, many people visited Comp-Ex on the last day also to explore products and services of their interest and need. Comp-Ex-2019 was supported and powered by Government of Maharashtra and Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation.
Under the leadership of office-bearers including Rajesh Saboo, President; Dinesh Naidu, Secretary; Vinay Dharmadhikari, Vice President; all other VCMDWA members have worked tirelessly round the clock to stage Comp-Ex-2019. The office bearers thanked all the VCMDWA members, all the participants, visitors, student volunteers of Tirpude College, vendors, besides the two main powering partners Government of Maharashtra and Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.

In 11-km men’s category, Yash Sharma clocked 36. 26 minutes to achieve premier place. Rajesh Muley and Pratik Barde followed him for second and third place respectively.
