Nagpur : Having treated audiences to some spectacular performances by its talented contestants week on week, Zee TV’s popular singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs drew to a close this weekend! The show crowned Nagpur’s Sugandha Date as its winner amidst huge fanfare and celebration. Sugandha was presented with the coveted trophy and a cash prize of 5 lakh rupees. Sugandha has been a consistent performer throughout the season and much loved by the judges and viewers of the show. Finalists Pritam Acharya and Mohammad Faiz were announced as the first and second runner-up respectively.
Speaking about her victory, a super excited Sugandha Date said, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs has been a great learning experience for me. I feel blessed to have been trained under such fabulous experts and mentors. The judges have always motivated me through my singing journey and helped me understand my calibre and potential as a singer. I am extremely happy to have received this opportunity to showcase my talent on such a great platform like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. I am glad to have made some special bonds with the jury members and my fellow contestants whilst on the show which I am going to cherish for life. Talking about Sudgandha winning the show, Judge Shaan said, “Sugandha has been consistently performing at the highest level throughout the season and has always been working towards perfecting her singing skills week after week. Judge Richa Sharma added, “Heartiest congratulations to our beloved Sugandha Date. I have seen a consistent growth in this little kid as a performer. Sugandha has always taken the feedback well and has worked constructively on her singing abilities week on week to improve herself to the fullest. I am wishing the best for her and she has a long way to go”.
Judge Amaal Mallik said, “Sugandha is a true blooded playback singer & if you ask me, the simplicity and honesty with which she undertakes her craft doesn’t come easy. It’s what makes her a singer, that’s a class apart. She’ll go a long way and I’m sure she’ll flourish in the areas she taps. I wish her all the luck for her future endeavours”

The grand finale of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs was nothing short of an entertainment extravaganza packed with breath-taking performances and soulful acts. Making it a totally splendid evening, the grand finale episode commenced with power-packed performances by the top six finalists of the show Pritam Acharya, Sugandha Date, Astha Das, Ayush KC, Anushka Patra and Mohammad Faiz to a 100-piece grand symphony orchestra for the first time on Indian television. Judges Shaan, Amaal and Richa set the stage on fire with their spectacular performances leaving the crowd cheering and hooting for more. Moreover, Bollywood superstars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani graced the grand finale episode to promote their upcoming film Kabir Singh. Veteran singers Kumar Shanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Mika Singh and Babul Supriyo lent a musical touch to the evening and created a magical atmosphere with their performances. This finale episode will certainly be and unforgettable one for the audiences.
