फिल्म अभिनेता नाना पाटेकर और तनुश्री दत्ता विवाद पर एमएनएस पार्टी चीफ राज ठाकरे ने अपनी बात कही है। उन्होंने नाना को असभ्य बताया है लेकिन यह भी कहा है कि वे ऐसा नहीं कर सकते।
राज ठाकरे ने कहा है ‘मैं नाना पाटेकर को जानता हूं। वे असभ्य आदमी हैं। उनकी हरकत अजीब होती है, पर मुझे नहीं लगता कि वे कुछ भद्दा कर सकते हैं। कोर्ट इस मामले को देखेगा। मीडिया का इससे कोई लेना-देना नहीं है| #MeToo गंभीर मामला है। लेकिन इस पर बहस ट्विटर पर नही होना चाहिए।’
बता दें कि तनुश्री ने नाना के खिलाफ पुलिस में मामला दर्ज करवा दिया है। कुछ दिन पहले नाना अपनी बात एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में मीडिया के आगे रखने वाले थे, जिसे बाद में उन्होंने रद्द कर दिया था।
उनके बेटे मल्हार ने एक मैसेज मीडिया को भेजा था ‘रात में इस वक्त मैसेज करने के लिए माफी, सिर्फ यह सूचना देना थी कि कल कोई प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस नहीं होगी। यह संदेश अपने सभी मीडिया साथियों तक पहुचाएं।’
कलर्स के पॉपुलर रियलिटी शो ‘बिग बॉस-12’ में पहली सेलिब्रिटी कंटेस्टेंट नेहा पेंडसे को घर से बेघर कर दिए जाने के बाद अब शो में वाइल्ड कार्ड एंट्री की खबरें सामने आ रही हैं. पिछले कई सीजंस की तरह इस बार भी शो में वाइल्ड कार्ड एंट्री के तौर पर किसी पॉपुलर और विवादित फिल्म-टीवी स्टार को भी लाये जाने की खबर है. रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक बिग बॉस हाउस में अब युवराज सिंह की गर्लफ्रेंड रह चुकी फिल्म स्टार किम शर्मा की वाइल्ड कार्ड एंट्री होने वाली है. कहा तो ये भी जा रहा है कि किम के साथ एक नामी टीवी स्टार की वाइल्ड कार्ड एंट्री होगी.
खबरों के मुताबिक किम का बिग बॉस हाउस हाउस में जाना तय है. किम और मेकर्स के बीच पैसों को लेकर फाइनल डील होनी बाकी है. अगर ये डील फाइनल हो गई तो किम, अगले हफ्ते बिग बॉस के घर में एंट्री करा दी जाएगी. किम ने सुपरहिट फिल्म ‘मोहब्बतें’ में नजर आ चुकी हैं. किम पहले युवराज के साथ अफेयर को लेकर खबरों में रहती थीं लेकिन फिर दोनों का ब्रेकअप हो गया. इसके बाद उन्होंने बिजनेसमैन अली पंजानी के साथ किम ने शादी कर ली लेकिन ये शादी भी ज्यादा दिन नहीं चली. अब एक बार फिर किम एक्टिंग की दुनिया में वापसी करने को तैयार हैं. सब सही रहा तो बहुत जल्द वो सलमान खान के शो बिग बॉस में दिखाई देंगी. वैसे युवराज के बड़े भाई जोरावर की पत्नी आकांक्षा शर्मा भी ‘बिग बॉस-10’ में हिस्सा ले चुकी हैं. वैसे खबरें ये भी आ रही हैं कि टीवी सीरियल स्टार रश्मि देसाई भी ‘बिग बॉस 12’ में किम के साथ एंट्री कर सकती हैं.
Nagpur : Nobel Prize winner and social activist Kailash Satyarthi attended annual “Vijaya Dashami” function of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Nagpur on Thursday.
Satyarthi was invited by the RSS as the chief guest at this year’s “Vijaya Dashami” function in Nagpur where the RSS headquarters is housed.
The function began by the ‘Path Sanchalan” (route march) of RSS volunteers in Nagpur. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat speak on a range of issues and outlines the organisation’s views on the present scenario and future agenda.
नागपूर : राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघाच्या विजयादशमी मेळाव्यात सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत यांनी राम मंदिराच्या मुद्द्यावर भाष्य केलं. राजकारणामुळं राम मंदिर उभारणीचा मुद्दा लांबणीवर पडला, असं ते म्हणाले. राम मंदिर उभारणीसाठी मोदी सरकारनं कायदा करायला हवा, असा सल्लाही त्यांनी दिला.
मोहन भागवत यांनी राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी आणि नानक यांच्या शिकवणीचा उल्लेख करत, भारतीय लष्कर आणखी सक्षम करण्याची गरज असल्याचं म्हटलं. ‘एससी-एसटी’ समाजातील वंचित घटक, पीडितांना आणखी सक्षम करण्याची गरज आहे, असंही त्यांनी सांगितलं. शहरी नक्षलवादाच्या संकल्पनेवरही त्यांनी भाष्य केलं. देशभरातील छोट्या-मोठ्या आंदोलनांमध्ये भारताचे तुकडे होणार म्हणणारे लोक दिसले. सोशल मीडियावर त्याचा जोरदार प्रचार केला जात आहे. त्यासाठीचा मजकूर पाकिस्तान, इटली, अमेरिकेतून पुरवला जातो, असंही ते म्हणाले. समाजात निर्माण झालेला असंतोष दूर करायला हवा. दबलेल्या-पिचलेल्या लोकांना त्यांचे अधिकार द्यायला पाहिजेत, असा सल्लाही त्यांनी मोदी सरकारला दिला.
महात्मा गांधी, बोस यांचे स्मरण
मोहन भागवत यांनी महात्मा गांधी आणि सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांच्या कार्याचा उल्लेख केला. ‘देशात सांस्कृतिक जागराची परंपरा सुरुच आहे. राजकारणासंबंधी अनेक अभिनव प्रयोग करण्यात आले. ब्रिटिशांच्या काळात महात्मा गांधींनी असेच प्रयोग केले. सत्य आणि अहिंसेच्या आधारे राजकारणाची कल्पना केवळ आपल्याच देशातील लोक करू शकतात. शस्त्रांच्या आधारे लढा देणारे लोकही होते. याच नैतिक बळाच्या आधारे सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांनी आझाद हिंद सेनेची स्थापना केली आणि स्वतंत्र भारताचे पहिले सरकार विदेशात स्थापन केलं. या घटनेलाही आता दीडशे वर्षे झाली आहेत’, असंही भागवत म्हणाले.
नवी दिल्ली : देशभरातील जवळपास ५० कोटी मोबाइल यूजर्सना केवायसी (KYC) संबंधित समस्येला सामोरं जावं लागण्याची शक्यता आहे. सिम कार्ड पडताळणीसाठी खासगी कंपन्या ग्राहकांकडे आधार मागू शकत नाहीत, असा निर्णय सर्वोच्च न्यायालयानं दिल्यानंतर नव्याने पडताळणी करावी लागणार आहे. त्यावेळी ग्राहकांनी आवश्यक पुरावे सादर न केल्यास संबंधित सिम कार्ड ‘डिस्कनेक्ट’ केले जातील, अशी शक्यता आहे.
खासगी कंपन्या मोबाइल सिम कार्ड पडताळणीसाठी आधारचा वापर करू शकत नाहीत, असा निर्णय नुकताच सर्वोच्च न्यायालयानं दिला होता. त्यानुसार, खासगी कंपन्या आता मोबाइल क्रमांक पडताळणीसाठी आधार मागू शकत नाहीत. त्यामुळं आता नव्यानं पडताळणी करावी लागणार आहे. त्यात ग्राहक आवश्यक पुरावे सादर करण्यास अपयशी ठरल्यास संबंधित सिम कार्ड रद्द केले जाऊ शकतात. हा मुद्दा गंभीर असून, कोट्यवधी सिमकार्डधारकांना त्याचा फटका बसू शकतो. त्यामुळं या मुद्द्यावर सरकार वरिष्ठ पातळीवर चर्चा करत आहे. नव्याने पडताळणी करण्यासाठी सिम कार्डधारकांना पुरेसा वेळ दिला जाईल, असे संकेत वरिष्ठ सरकारी अधिकाऱ्यांनी दिले आहेत.
Nagpur : The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has directed the Forest Department to make fresh submission on the current situation in the troubled are of Pandharkawda division stating how the man-eater tigress not attacking anyone since the last attack on August 28 could be explained if she is a habitual man – eater.
The HC has also asked the Department to explain the discrepancy in two of its orders – first one on September 4 stating that the cubs would be tranquilised and caught alive and the tigress would then be tranquilised or shot and the second order on September 10 putting the sequence in reverse.
An intensive operation is on to catch or shoot tigress T1 and catch her two cubs alive in the Ralegaon area of Yavatmal district, where 13 people have died in tiger attacks since June 2016.
The two directives came during hearing in a fresh plea by activists Sarita Subramaniam (Mumbai) and Jerryl Banait (Nagpur) praying for removing shooter Shafat Ali Khan from the operation as he was a shooter and not expert in tranquilising.
The bench comprising Justice Bhushan Dharmadhikari and Justice S M Modak, while making it clear that it was not in any way looking into aspects already upheld by the SC, said the Forest Department should explain why no attack has happened in the area for the past more than a month and a half if the tigress was a habitual man-eater.
This was also one of the points raised in the petitioners’s fresh plea. “If the tigress is habituated to killing humans, why no attack had happened on anyone despite hundreds of personnel venturing deep into the forest for combing and search operations,” Banait told The Indian Express, adding, “that’s why we want that the tigress should only bee tranquilised and not shot.” Department lawyer Kartik Shukul stated that no incident had been reported precisely because since August 28 an intensive tracking and search operation is on for the tigress and her cubs and strict vigil is being maintained.
The petitioners have also questioned the appointment of Shafath Ali Khan on the ground that it was done a day before the SC order came on September 11. They also contended that Khan was an ace shooter but wasn’t good at tranquilising. They alleged that he was not co-operating with The Department staff on the ground and was causing hindrance. In support of this claim, the petitioners also submitted two complaint letters issued against him by Pandharkawda Deputy Conservator of Forest K M Abharna and Yavatmal Chief Conservator of Forest P G Rahurkar. The HC, however, didn’t intervene on this point.
But the court asked the Department to explain the reversal of the points of action stated in the September 4 and September 10 orders by Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) A K Mishra. The two clarifications have to come during the next hearing on October 19.Fresh plea in tigress case.
नागपूर, ता. १७ : धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन दिनानिमित्त देशाच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून दीक्षा भूमीवर येणाऱ्या बौद्ध अनुयायांची कोणत्याही प्रकारची गैरसोय होऊ नये याची विशेष काळजी घेण्यात यावी. संपूर्ण दीक्षाभूमी परिसरात स्वच्छतेसह अनुयायांच्या आरोग्याबाबत काळजी घेताना सर्वांनी सेवा हाच धर्म या भावनेतून काम करावे, असे निर्देश महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिले.
धम्मचक्र प्रवर्तन दिनानिमित्त येणाऱ्या बौद्ध अनुयायांच्या सोयीसाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे चोखामेळा अन्नाभाऊ साठे चौक दीक्षाभूमी परिसरात उभारण्यात आलेल्या नियंत्रण कक्षाचे बुधवारी (ता. १७) महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते उद्घाटन झाले. याप्रसंगी विरोधी पक्ष नेता तानाजी वनवे, आरोग्य समिती सभापती मनोज चापले, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त अझीझ शेख, लक्ष्मी नगर झोनच्या सहायक आयुक्त सुवर्णा दखने, वैद्यकीय अधिकारी डॉ. प्रदीप दासरवार, डॉ. संजय कांबळे, डॉ. गजेंद्र महल्ले, कार्यकारी अभियंता अमीन अख्तर, विद्युत अभियंता संजय जायस्वाल, सहायक अग्निशमन अधिकारी केशव कोठे, आरोग्य अधिकारी डॉ. विजय जोशी, हत्तीरोग अधिकारी जयश्री थोटे, लक्ष्मी नगर झोनचे झोनल आरोग्य अधिकारी रामभाऊ तिडके, जनसंपर्क अधिकारी अशोक कोल्हटकर, राजेश हाथीबेड उपस्थित होते.
दीक्षा भूमी परिसरात सुरक्षेची विशेष काळजी घेण्यात यावी. कोणतिही अनुसचित घटना घडू नये याची दक्षता घ्यावी. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेतर्फे तैनात स्वच्छता, अभियांत्रिकी, आरोग्य यासह विविध विभागांचे काम बौद्ध अनुयायांच्या सुविधेसाठी चोविस तास अविरत सुरू राहावे. याशिवाय कामामध्ये कोणत्याही प्रकारची कुचराई होणार नाही यासाठी संबंधित विभागाच्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी जबाबदारी ओळखून कर्मचाऱ्यांकडून काम करून घ्यावे, बौद्ध अनुयायांची कसल्याही प्रकारची गैरसोय होणार नाही याची दक्षता घेऊन कर्तव्य भावनेतून कार्य करा. दूरदूरून दीक्षाभूमीवर बौद्ध अनुयायी येत असतात. त्यांच्या आरोग्याची काळजी घेणे ठिकठिकाणी पिण्याच्या पाण्याची व्यवस्था असावी, शिवाय स्वच्छतेच्या दृष्टीने फिरते व स्थायी शौचालयांचीही व्यवस्था राखली जाईल, याची काळजी घेण्याचेही महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी निर्देशित केले. यानंतर अपर आयुक्त श्री. अझीझ् शेख व राम जोशी यांनी संबंधीत विभागाकडून करण्यात येत असलेल्या व्यवस्थेचा आढावा घेतला.

Union Minister MJ Akbar, accused by multiple women of sex harassment in a tidal wave of #MeToo stories shared on social media, has resigned. Just two days ago, Mr Akbar had sued one of his 20 accusers for defamation, accusing her of “intentionally making fabricated allegations” to harm his reputation. Announcing his resignation, Mr Akbar referred to his lawsuit.
“Since I have decided to seek justice in a court of law in my personal capacity, I deem it appropriate to step down from office and challenge false accusations levied against me, also in a personal capacity,” he said in a statement.
On Sunday, Mr Akbar was widely seen to have decided to ignore calls for his resignation after being called out by women who had worked with him or had brief encounters during his days as an editor. “Accusations without evidence have become a viral fever,” he said after returning from a foreign trip. The government did not react officially, but sources said the allegations had nothing to do with it.
On Monday, Mr Akbar sued Priya Ramani, the first woman to name him, and accused her of vested interests in maligning his reputation on the basis of “wholly and completely false, frivolous, and unjustifiable and scandalous grounds.”
Priya Ramani said she would fight the case. But 19 other journalists said she was not alone, that they would testify in court against Mr Akbar. “What Akbar has demonstrated through his legal actions is his refusal to introspect, acknowledge or atone for his actions that have caused immense pain and indeed harm to many women over the years. He himself, in the meanwhile, continues to enjoy enormous power and privilege as minister and Member of Parliament,” the journalists’ statement said.
Nagpur: Followed by the last segment for Reach-I has been cast at Maha Metro Jamtha Casting Yard, the casting yard for Reach-IV has also achieved almost half of its target. As many as 1,152 out of the total 2,378 segments to be cast for Reach-IV, have been prepared already. The Reach-IV spans from Munje Square, Sitabuldi interchange junction to Prajapati Nagar and passes through the crowded Central Avenue road.
Recently, Maha Metro Nagpur announced the casting of last segment for Reach-I which stretches from Airport South Station to Munje Square. The Asoli Casting Yard, which is in the jurisdiction of Reach-IV is located in rural parts of Nagpur district off Bhandara Road. The casting yard is spread over an area of 19 acres and Segments, I-Girders and T-Girders are cast here.
Overall, 260 officials, technicians and workers work ceaselessly at this Casting Yard and have cast almost 50 per cent of the total segments to be done. Other than the 1,152 segments which have been cast till now, 293 of the proposed 529 T-Girders have also been readied. The segments are being cast using modern machines like transit mixture, launching girder, gantry crane etc Normally 6 segments are cast on any given day. Every day project work begins with the workers being briefed about the safety measures to be taken at the work site. Segments are launched on the piers erected in the Reach, with the help of Launching Girder. Out of the total of 1,258, 1,100 piles have also been installed till now.
Overall, 9 stations are being constructed as part of Reach-IV along the 8.3 km stretch. Many prominent commercial and residential areas like Itwari, Mominpura, Mahal are adjacent to the metro route, thus leading to crowding of CA road. The work, in this reach has been undertaken, while addressing traffic issues on this road.
पुणे : पुण्यात भारतीय सैन्यातील चार कर्मचाऱ्यांनी लष्कराचा रुग्णालयात एका मूकबधीर महिला कर्मचाऱ्यावर बलात्कार केल्याची संतापजनक घटना घडली होती. आता यावर चारही सैनिकांवर गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे. या महिलेने इंदोरमध्ये एका स्वयंसेवी संस्थेच्या मदतीने तक्रार दाखल केली आहे. त्यासंबंधीचं एक पत्र संरक्षण मंत्री आणि सेनापतींनाही पाठवण्यात आलं आहे. या घटनेची पीडितेनं तक्रार दाखल केल्यानंतर विभागीय चौकशीचे आदेश दिले आहे.
मात्र, या चार कर्मचाऱ्यांवर कारवाई न झाल्यामुळे पीडित महिलेनं सुरक्षा मंत्रालय, लष्करप्रमुखांकडे धाव घेतली होती. त्यानंतर सुरक्षा मंत्रालयाने या प्रकरणाची दखल घेतली असून पीडित महिलांसाठी कार्यरत असलेली पोलीस हेल्पलाईन इंदूर इथं पोहोचली असून इंदूर डीआयजीने या प्रकरणी कारवाईचं आश्वासन दिलं होतं.
पुण्यातील लष्कराच्या रुग्णालयामध्ये एका मूकबधीर दिव्यांग महिलेसोबत अत्याचाराची घटनासमोर आलीये. या प्रकरणी पीडित महिला न्याय मिळावा यासाठी इंदुरला पोहोचली. या पीडित महिलेनं पोलीस हेल्पलाईन प्रभारी पुरोहित दाम्पत्यांकडे मदत मागितली. डीआयजीकडे तक्रार दाखल केल्यानंतर डीआयजीने मदत करण्याचं आश्वसान दिलंय.
पीडित महिला ही पुण्यातील खडकी येथील लष्कराच्या रुग्णालयात चतुर्थ श्रेणी कर्मचारी म्हणून काम करते. या पीडित महिलेला सर्वात आधी रँक नायकने २०१४ मध्ये धमकी देऊन अत्याचार केले. त्यानंतर या पीडित महिलेनं याच रुग्णालयातील नर्सिंग असिस्टंटला एसएमएस करून आपल्यासोबत घडलेली हकीकत सांगितली. परंतु, नर्सिंग असिस्टंटने मदत करण्याचे आश्वासन देऊन पीडित महिलेवरच अत्याचार केला. त्यानंतर वारंवार या पीडित महिलेवर दोन्ही कर्मचाऱ्यांनी अत्याचार केले.
हा अत्याचार एवढ्यावरच थांबला नाही तर याच रुग्णालयातील रुग्नवाहिकेच्या कर्मचाऱ्यानेही पीडित महिलेवर अत्याचार केले. याची तक्रार पीडित महिलेनं जेव्हा रुग्णालयाच्या व्यवस्थापकांकडे केली पण त्यावर कोणताही कारवाई करण्यात आली नाही. पीडित महिला ही विवाहित असून तिला एक १२ वर्षांचा मुलगा आहे. पत्नीच्या निधनानंतर ही पीडित महिला उदनिर्वाहासाठी रुग्णालयात काम करतेय. पण याच रुग्णालयात वारंवार तिच्यावर अत्याचार झाले. रात्रपाळीला काम करणाऱ्या या पीडित महिलेनं जेव्हा आपली शिफ्ट बदलू मागितली असता ती बदलून देण्यात आली नाही.
आपल्यावर झालेल्या या अत्याचारानंतर पीडित महिलेनं न्याय मागण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करत असताना इंदुर येथील पुरोहित दाम्पत्याची माहिती मिळाली. त्यानंतर या पीडितेने जुलै महिन्यात त्यांच्याशी संपर्क साधला. संपर्क झाल्यानंतर पीडित महिलेसोबत घडलेल्या घटनेची माहिती संरक्षणमंत्री निर्मला सीतारमन आणि लष्कर प्रमुख व्ही.के. रावत यांना सांगितली.
संरक्षणमंत्री आणि लष्कर प्रमुखाने याची दखल घेल्यानंतर विभागीय चौकशीचे आदेश दिले. पण पीडितेला अद्याप न्याय मिळाला नाही. त्यानंतर मदत मिळवण्यासाठी पीडित महिलेनं इंदुर गाठले. इथं पुरोहित दाम्पत्याची भेट घेऊन डीआयजी हरीनारायण चारी मिश्र यांची भेट घेतली. डीआयजी मिश्र यांनी पुणे इथं जाऊन तेथील पोलीस अधिकाऱ्यांना याबद्दल माहिती देण्याचे सांगितलंय. तसंच डीआयजीने पीडितेची तक्रार निवारण करण्याचं आश्वासनही मिश्र यांनी दिलं. सैन्य आणि जवानांच्या अधिकाऱ्यांवर देशांच्या संरक्षणाची जबाबदारी असते. पण सैन्याच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांनी महिलेवर अत्याचार केल्यामुळे त्यांच्यावर विश्वास कसा ठेवावा याबद्दल प्रश्नचिन्ह निर्माण झाले आहे.
पीडित महिला ही दिव्यांग असल्यामुळे तिची बाजू समजून घेण्यास अडचणी येत आहे. तिची भाषा समजून घेण्यासाठी सांकेतिक भाषा अभ्यासकांनाही बोलावण्यात आलं होतं पण तेही पूर्ण बाजू समजू शकले नाही. त्यामुळे पुण्यातून या पीडित महिलेनं इंदुरमध्ये न्यायासाठी धाव घेतली.
भावनगर – भूतपिशाच्चाच्या भितीने एका महिलेने आपल्या पाच मुलांसह विहिरीत उडी घेऊन आत्महत्येचा प्रयत्न केल्याची खळबळजनक घटना समोर आली आहे. यामध्ये संबंधित महिला आणि तिची एक मुलगी यातून बचावले आहेत. मात्र, इतर ४ मुलांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. संबंधित महिला ही शेतमजूर असून तिचे कुटुंब बर्याच काळापासून आर्थिक विवंचनेत होते. गुजरातमधील भावनगर जिल्हय़ातील पंच पिपला गावात ही घटना घडली.
प्रत्यक्षदश्रींच्या माहितीनुसार, काल दुपारी गीता भलिया हिने पंच पिपला गावातील विहिरीत उडी घेतली, याची माहिती ग्रामस्थांना कळताच त्यांनी पोलिसांना कळवले. त्यानंतर गीताला वाचवण्यासाठी प्रयत्न सुरू करण्यात आले. बचाव मोहिमेदरम्यान, गीता आणि तिची मोठी मुलगी धर्मिष्ठा (१०) हिला वाचविण्यात यश आले. मात्र, तिच्या ४ मुलांचा यात मृत्यू झाला. यामध्ये दोन भाऊ आणि दोन बहिणी अशा चार भावंडांचा समावेश आहे. एक वर्ष ते ८ वर्षे वय असलेली ही मुले आहेत. विहिरीतून बाहेर काढल्यानंतर गीताने पोलिसांना सांगितले की, गेल्या दोन वर्षांपासून आमची आर्थिक स्थिती खूपच बिकट बनली आहे.आम्हाला दोन वेळेचे जेवणही मिळत नाही, त्यामुळे रात्रीची झोपही येत नाही. मला वारंवार जीव द्यावासा वाटत होता. मात्र, माझ्यानंतर मुलांच काय होईल या काळजीने पाऊल उचलले नव्हते. मात्र, त्या क्षणी भूतपिशाच्चाने पछाडल्याने आपण डोळे मिटून मुलांसह विहिरीत उडी घेतली. दरम्यान, तिच्या नवर्याने पोलिसांना सांगितले की, गीताला सारखे वाटत होते की, तिच्यावर कोणीतही काळी जादू केल्याने आपल्याला अनेक अडचणीला सामोरे जावे लागत आहे. यातून बाहेर पडण्यासाठी तिची धडपड सुरू होती. यातूनच तिने हे कृत्य केले असावे.
Premiering on October 20, for the first time on Indian television 18 contestants will fight it out in 6 rooms not to win money, not to win hearts and nor to win the love of their lives, but to win the most basic means of existence – space! The contestants in the show will fight for space in 18ft*18ft rooms through tasks that test endurance and skills of co-existing amidst polarizing personalities. He will have the authority to monitor and outplay the contestants with no rules and regulations. That mastermind will be none other than Producer and ex Bigg Boss contestant, Vikas Gupta. Like an omnipresent dealer, Vikas will have everyone in his sight, controlling and manipulating their moves. The one with the highest space in the room and in audience’ minds, after being locked in for 43 days, will walk away with the title of being the Ace of Space.

Nagpur : Dr.Vinay Hazarey Ex. Dean Govt. Dental College & Hospital Nagpur and Secretary No Tobacco association received UICC (International Union For Cancer Control) at recently held World Cancer Congress at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He was invited to present his original work “ Cancer Free Constituency” and ” Self Mouth Mirror Examination A Boon to prevent Oral Cancer and Pre Cancer ”. This was a report based on survey which was initiatives of Cancer Free Constituency by Mr. Ashish Deshmukh,Then MLA from Katol constituency. About 300,000 rural population was sensitized in house to house survey .5100 persons were examined by medical and dental professionals in 10 camps conducted in collaboration with Deputy Director Health services.
The examination was done using mammography van and mobile dental van.Total 25 cancer cases including 12 oral cancer cases were detected and treated by tertiary referral medical and dental colleges and cancer hospitals. It was also noted that there is high prevalence of smokeless tobacco chewing habits which resulted in higher rate of occurrence of Oral Precancers including Oral Sub Mucous fibrosis (Inability to Open Mouth).The presentations were well received at this global conference where2500 experts from 120 countries participated . As a part of fellowship, No Tobacco Association, the NGO receives prestigious UICC membership which helps to interact with experts from all over world and research grants for community health awareness and cancer research.
Dr Vinay Hazarey also participated in recently held International summit on Oral Sub Mucous fibrosis at Vadodara India where experts from UK US Sri Lanka and India participated.Dr Hazarey spoke on various aspects of OSF which is now being called as Indian’s Diseases because of chewing areca nut and tobacco and combinations such as Pan Masala,Gutkha and Kharra.This and other pre cancers and subsequent oral cancer are preventable if tobacco and areca nut habits are stopped by public awareness and early detection by health professionals.
Nagpur : Vijayadashmi Utsav of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will be held on Thursday, October 18 at sprawling Reshimbag ground.
Nobel Laureate and child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi will be the chief guest while RSS Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat will deliver his key address. The function will start at 7.40 am on Vijayadashmi day.
Special route march will be taken by RSS volunteers in the morning and will pass through prominent localities of East, Central and South Nagpur.

नागपूर : हौसी तरुण-तरुणी छंदाचा भाग म्हणून तयार करीत असलेले बँड पथक नागपुरात चांगलेच ख्यातीप्राप्त होत आहेत. याच धर्तीवर नागपुरात आता चक्क संसार करणाऱ्या महिलांचे आगळेवेगळे ‘बँड पथक’ तयार होणार आहे. ही आगळीवेगळी संकल्पना महिला व बालकल्याण समितीच्या सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी मांडली असून लवकर ती प्रत्यक्षात उतरणार आहे.
नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या महिला व बालकल्याण समितीची बैठक मंगळवारी (ता. १६) मनपा मुख्यालयातील डॉ. पंजाबराव देशमुख स्मृती सभागृहात पार पडली. सदर बैठकीत या संकल्पनेवर शिक्कामोर्तब करण्यात आले. बैठकीला महिला व बालकल्याण समिती सभापती प्रगती पाटील, सदस्या दिव्या धुरडे, सरीता कावरे, मनिषा अतकरे, रश्मी धुर्वे, उपायुक्त डॉ. रंजना लाडे, वैद्यकीय अधिकारी (मे.) डॉ. विजय जोशी, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, उद्यान अधीक्षक अमोल चौरपगार उपस्थित होते.
सदर बैठकीत महिला बचत गटाच्या सदस्यांना विविध कला आणि उद्योगांचे प्रशिक्षण देण्यासंदर्भात चर्चा करण्यात आली. बचत गटांच्या महिलांना नवी ओळख मिळवून देण्याच्या दृष्टीने त्यांचे बँड पथक तयार करण्याची संकल्पना सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी मांडली. या संकल्पनेला सर्वच सदस्यांनी प्रतिसाद देत त्यावर चर्चा केली. विविध बचत गटातील २० महिलांची यासाठी निवड करण्यात येणार असून पुढील काही दिवसांत त्यांचे प्रशिक्षण सुरू करण्यात येणार आहे. महिलांच्या या बँड पथकाला भविष्यात व्यावसायिक स्वरूप देऊन त्यातून त्यांना मिळकत करून देण्याचा मानस असल्याचे सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी सांगितले.
बँड पथक तयार करण्यासोबतच महिला बचत गटासाठी संगीत प्रशिक्षण वर्गही सुरू करण्यात येणार आहे. स्वच्छ असोशिएशनमार्फत त्यांच्या रामनगर येथील कार्यालयात टाकाऊ वस्तूंपासून टिकाऊ वस्तू बनविण्याचे प्रशिक्षण देण्यासंदर्भातही चर्चा करण्यात आली. स्वच्छ भारत अभियानांतर्गत बचत गटातील महिलांकरिता कचरा संकलन केंद्र सुरू करण्यासंदर्भातही बैठकीत निर्णय घेण्यात आला. बांबूपासून वस्तू बनविण्याचे प्रशिक्षणही महिला बचत गटातील महिलांना देण्यात येणार असून या सदर प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमासाठी २६ ऑक्टोबरपर्यंत महिलांची निवड करण्याचे आणि त्याची यादी महिला व बालकल्याण समितीकडे सोपविण्याचे निर्देश सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी दिले.
सफाई कामगारांसाठी आरोग्य तपासणी शिबिर
महिला व बालकल्याण समितीच्या वतीने नागपूर शहरात कार्य करणाऱ्या सफाई कामगारांसाठी आरोग्य तपासणी शिबिर आयोजित करण्यात येणार आहे. हे शिबिर झोननिहाय आयोजित करण्यात येणार असून मनपाचा आरोग्य विभाग यासाठी सहकार्य करणार आहे. या शिबिराचा कार्यक्रम लवकरच जाहीर होणार असल्याची माहिती सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी दिली.
डिसेंबरमध्ये ‘महिला उद्योजिका मेळावा’
महिला व बालकल्याण समितीतर्फे बचत गटातील महिलांच्या उत्पादनांना बाजारपेठ मिळवून देण्याच्या दृष्टीने दरवर्षी ‘महिला उद्योजिका मेळाव्या’चे आयोजन करण्यात येते. यावर्षीसुद्धा हा मेळावा २ डिसेंबर ते ९ डिसेंबरदरम्यान आयोजित करण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती सभापती प्रगती पाटील यांनी दिली. मेळाव्याच्या दृष्टीने सुरू असलेल्या तयारीचा आढावा यावेळी त्यांनी घेतला.
Umesh Yadav has been named as Shardul Thakur replacement in India’s squad for the first-two ODIs against the Windies.
Thakur, India’s Test player No. 294, suffered a right adductor tendon injury on the day of his Test debut, in Hyderabad. Ten deliveries into his Test career, the Mumbai pacer was forced off field with a groin strain and will now sit out of action for the entire duration of the ODI series.
Thakur has played five ODIs for India previously, with best figures of 4 for 52 in India’s eight-wicket win over South Africa in Centurion earlier this year.
Umesh’s last ODI appearance for India was at Lord’s in July, in the second game of the three-match series against England that the visitors lost by 86 runs.
India have announced the squad only for the first couple of games of the five-match series, starting Sunday (October 21) in Guwahati.
नागपुर : नागपुर शहर में जहां जगह-जगह दुर्गा उत्सव की धूम मची है वहीं शहर की भिन्न भिन्न जगह पर विशेष आकर्षित झाकिया देखी जा रही है | ऐसी ही विशेष आकर्षण का केंद्र बना हुआ है शहर का लक्ष्मी नगर स्थित रानी लक्ष्मीबाई दुर्गा उत्सव मंडल ।
इस पंडाल की विशेष यहां की सजावट जो कि बाकी पंडालों से इसे विशेष बनाती है वह है यहां की सजावट जो पनडुब्बी स्वरूप झांकी द्वारा प्रस्तुत की गई है।
शहर में जहां भिन्न भिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया है वहीं शहर की पंडालों में प्रमुख अतिथियों के तौर पर राजनीति फिल्म कला व जगत की मशहूर हस्तियां आकर्षण का केंद्र बनी हुई है।
श्री रानी लक्ष्मीबाई दुर्गा उत्सव मंडल के प्रथम दिन पर शिव संस्कृति ढोल ताशा पथक नागपुर द्वारा शुभारंभ हुआ। नवरात्र के पहले दिन आरती का गौरव राष्ट्र सेविका समिति की संचालिका शांतापका , पुलिस आयुक्त डॉक्टर भूषण कुमार उपाध्याय, महापौर नंदा जिचकार व संस्था के संस्थापक अध्यक्ष प्रसन्न मोहिले को मिला।
नवरात्र के दूसरे दिन सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। जहां विभिन्न प्रकार की कलाओं का प्रदर्शन प्रतिभागियों द्वारा किया गया। 13 अक्टूबर को “डांस बॅलेट ऑन म्यूजियम” पर आधारित सोनिया परचुरे इन्होंने प्रस्तुत किया ।
नवरात्र के चौथे दिन कार्यक्रमों की प्रमुख अतिथि SEGRAMS ग्रुप के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर फ्रांस से श्री. गुईलम थे । जहां उन्होंने फैशन शो का आनंद उठाया ।

16 अक्टूबर को मशहूर मराठी हास्य कलाकार पुष्कर शोत्री अपने हास्य नाटक ‘हसवा फसवी’ के द्वारा दर्शकों का मनोरंजन करेंगे ।
इस कार्यक्रम में राजनीतिक जगत से केंद्रीय परिवहन मंत्री श्री. नितिनजी गडकरी व पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखरजी बावनकुले भी उपस्थित थे।

Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur are proud to present The Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD), one of our major flagship events. With its initiation back in 2009, EAD has now grown to cover 22 cities in 22 days. You learn when you see, with this basic idea, EAD consists of a series of guest lectures and workshops, wherein students get to learn from the ‘achievers’ of the society.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive 2018, Nagpur will be held in Shree Datta Meghe Auditorium on 20th October 2018. The event will begin at 1pm. A 4-5 hours event, the EAD Nagpur, would consist of Guest Lectures and workshops which surely add to students’ knowledge and provide an insight to what all things happen after they ‘start-up’.

This year, Entrepreneurship Cell IIT Kharagpur are proud to present Empresario 2019 in association with International Business Model Competition (IBMC). The best entries will get an opportunity to participate directly in the quarter-final rounds of IBMC 2019, which will be conducted abroad.
About 25% of the entries in our Business Model Competition- Empresario were from participants of EAD, which underlines the impact of this unique initiative towards motivating young minds towards entrepreneurial thought and action. 158 colleges participated in EAD 2017, with 24 colleges associating with us to conduct the EAD in their respective campus. During the drive, many colleges expressed their interest in setting up entrepreneurship promoting bodies for the benefit of the students.
Janata Dal – United president Nitish Kumar has elevated election strategist and newly inducted leader Prashant Kishor to the party’s vice-president post. Kishor now will be the second-in-command in the party rank after Nitish Kumar.
JD-U spokesperson KC Tyagi said that Kishor’s elevation to the vice-president post will help the party to expand its outreach in social segments and also strengthen its vote base.
“He (Kishor) has been appointed Vice President of the party,” Tyagi said.
Kishor, 41, had joined the JD-U last month at an event in Patna. At that time there were speculations that Kumar will give him a crucial role in the party. Kishor, the founder of Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), had in 2015 Assembly polls worked for Kumar’s party.
नागपूर : नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या शाळांमध्ये अनेक प्रतिभावंत खेळाडू आहेत. मात्र हे खेळाडू परिस्थिती व मार्गदर्शनाअभावी पुढे येउ शकत नाहीत. आपल्या महानगरपालिकेच्या शाळांमध्ये शिकणारे विद्यार्थी हे गरीब घरचे आहेत. मात्र त्यांच्यातील प्रतिभा ही देशाचे नाव लौकीक करणारी आहे. फक्त त्यांना योग्य मार्गदर्शनाची गरज आहे. ॲथलेटिक्स ‘खेळाडू शोध व निवड‘ अभियानामार्फत मनपा शाळांमधील विद्यार्थीही राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर देशाचे नाव लौकीक करतील, असा विश्वास मनपाचे क्रीडा समिती सभापती नागेश सहारे यांनी व्यक्त केला.
क्रीडा समिती सभापती नागेश सहारे यांच्या संकल्पनेतून साकारण्यात आलेल्या नागपूर महानगरपालिका व नागपूर जिल्हा ॲथलेटिक्स असोसिएशन यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित ॲथलेटिक्स ‘खेळाडू शोध व निवड‘ अभियानाचा माजी राष्ट्रपती डॉ.ए.पी.जे. अब्दुल कलाम यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त सोमवारी (ता. १५) डिप्टी सिग्नल येथील मनपाच्या संजय नगर हिंदी माध्यमिक शाळा येथून शुभारंभ झाला.
यावेळी आयोजित कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी क्रीडा समिती सभापती नागेश सहारे होते. प्रमुख अतिथी म्हणून शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, क्रीडा निरीक्षक नरेश चौधरी, क्रीडा अधिकारी नरेश सवाईथुल, नागपूर जिल्हा ॲथलेटिक्स असोसिएशनचे सचिव डॉ. शरद सूर्यवंशी, संजय नगर हिंदी माध्यमिक शाळेचे मुख्याध्यापक रवींद्र गावंडे, सुनील डोईफोडे, संजय कोहळे, नितीन भोळे, बंडू नगराळे, बाळासाहेब बन्सोड आदी उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी क्रीडा सभापती नागेश सहारे म्हणाले, ॲथलेटिक्स हा खेळ अत्यंत कमी खर्चाचा असून गरीब घरातील विद्यार्थीही याकडे सहजतेने वळू शकतात. त्यांना फक्त शाळांमधून मैदानात काढून त्यांच्यातील प्रतिभा पुढे आणण्याची गरज आहे. मुलांमध्ये बालवयापासूनच खेळाविषयी आवड निर्माण करून त्यांना त्याच्यातील करिअरच्या संधी पटवून दिल्यास ते याकडे आकर्षीत होतील. या संकल्पनेतून ॲथलेटिक्स ‘खेळाडू शोध व निवड‘ अभियान सुरू करण्यात आले आहे. या अभियानाद्वारे शहरातील महानगरपालिकेच्या सर्व शाळांमधील विद्यार्थ्यांची प्राथमिक चाचणी घेउन निवड झालेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना नागपूर जिल्हा ॲथलेटिक्स असोसिएशनच्यावतीने विशेष प्रशिक्षण देण्यात येणार आहे, असेही त्यांनी यावेळी सांगितले.
शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार म्हणाल्या, कोणत्याही कार्यात आत्मविश्वास हा अत्यंत महत्वाचा आहे. आत्मविश्वासामुळे आपल्या मार्गातील अडथळे दूर करण्याची क्षमता आपल्यात निर्माण होते. या अभियानाद्वारे आपणाला पुढे आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर देशाचे प्रतिनिधित्व करायचे हे ध्येय ठेवून मैदानात आत्मविश्वासाने प्रत्येक अडथळे पार करा, असा मंत्र त्यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना दिला.
नागपूर जिल्हा ॲथलेटिक्स असोसिएशनचे सचिव डॉ. शरद सूर्यवंशी यांनी अभियानाची विस्तृत माहिती यावेळी दिली. ते म्हणाले, प्रतिकुल परिस्थितीवर मात करून मैदानातील आपल्या कामगिरीच्या बळावर ॲथलेटिक्समध्ये हिमा दास पासून ते आपल्या शहरातील प्राजक्ता गोडबोलेने देशात नाव लौकीक केले आहे. आपणा सर्वांमध्येही ती क्षमता आहे ती मैदानात उतरून दाखवून द्या. शाळांमधील प्राथमिक फे-यांमधून निवड झालेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना असोसिएशनच्या वतीने वयोगटानुसार प्रशिक्षण देण्यात येणार आहे. यानंतर पुन्हा चाचणी घेउन निवड झालेले विद्यार्थी आंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रशिक्षकांकडून प्रशिक्षित करून राज्य, राष्ट्रीय स्तरावर आव्हान देण्यास तयार करण्यात येईल, असेही डॉ. सूर्यवंशी यांनी सांगतिले.
यावेळी संजय नगर हिंदी माध्यमिक शाळेतील विद्यार्थ्यांची असोसिएशनच्या तांत्रिक अधिका-यांच्या उपस्थितीत चाचणी घेण्यात आली. याप्रसंगी शाळेतील विद्यार्थी, शिक्षकांसह मनपाच्या विविध शाळांचे क्रीडा शिक्षक प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते. कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन विठ्ठल खोंडे यांनी केले तर आभार शाळेच्या पर्यवेक्षिका ज्योती काकडे यांनी मानले.
Nagpur: The officials of Nagpur Municipal Corporation have conducted a surprise check on the premises of Big Bazaar located in Landmark building in Ramdaspeth and reportedly seized banned plastic bags weighing 2 kg. However sources claimed that the material seized was much more than what was shown in records.
A fine of only Rs 1600 was levied on the Big Bazaar operators, while insiders claim that the quantity of seized plastic bags was much higher and it was deliberately hidden to save the business establishment from paying up huge penalty. A receipt of Rs 1600 was handed over to the operators after recovering the fine.
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has finally launched the Honor 8X smartphone in India. The smartphone went official in China last month, and it features a dual camera setup, premium glass-finish back, multiple RAM + storage options, and sports a display notch. It includes Dolby Atmos surround sound backed by stereo speakers, and packs artificial intelligence (AI) powered features for better imaging. The Honor 8X supports the company’s GPU Turbo Technology that claims to increase performance by up to 60 percent while reducing battery consumption by up to 30 percent.
Honor claims that its GPU Turbo will benefit mobile games that require high graphics processing efficiency by enhancing the speed and optimising the gaming experience. At the event, Honor also announced that the company has seen a massive 500 percent growth in the Indian smartphone market in 2018.
Honor 8X price in India
The Honor 8X smartphone is priced in India starting at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option, Rs. 16,999 for 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Honor 8X will be available exclusively via Amazon India from October 24 onwards. The smartphone will be available in Black, Red, and Blue colour options.
Honor 8X specifications and features
The Honor 8X is seen sporting a premium glass-finish back with a double textured design and 15 layers of aurora glass. There’s a display notch up front, and the smartphone sports thin bezel on all sides of the display with a claimed screen-to-body ratio at 91 percent. The smartphone sports a dual camera setup at the back stacked vertically and placed on the top edge.
The fingerprint sensor is also situated at the rear end of the Honor 8X. It claims to feature TUV Rheinland-certified blue light protection, and comes with features such as AR stickers, Portrait mode, HDR, and Super Night Scene among others. It supports Face Unlock, and has a triple slot tray for enabling dual SIMs and microSD card expansion simultaneously.
One of the notable AI-powered features is the ability to scan a product using the camera, and it automatically searches it online for the user to purchase. It comes with AI Sport Shots for moving photos, AI Super Super-Slow motion modes, and multi-scene recognition as well.
The Honor 8X smartphone runs EMUI 8.2.0 on top of Android Oreo, and supports dual-SIM slots (Nano + Nano + microSD). It sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 397ppi. The phone is powered by the company’s in-house octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, paired with a Mali G51 and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Internal storage options include 64GB and 128GB, plus storage on the phone is expandable via microSD card (up to 400GB).
In terms of optics, the smartphone bears a dual rear camera setup with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, coupled with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. On the front, the Honor 8X sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus. There is a non-removable 3,750mAh battery under the hood, with support for 5V/2A (10W) charging and a power saving battery features.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2 LE with aptX support, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Honor 8X measures 160.4×76.6×7.8mm, and sensors on board include an ambient light sensor, compass, fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.
