New Delhi : The Supreme Court has refused to impose a nationwide blanket ban on sale of firecrackers. In its verdict today, the court said only ‘green firecrackers’ (which are less polluting) will be allowed to be sold.In its order, the court banned the online sale of firecrackers and put a stay on e-commerce portals from selling them.
The court said only “low polluting” green crackers which are within permitted decibel limits and emission norms will be allowed.
The court also imposed timing restrictions on burning firecrackers on Diwali. The court said people will be allowed to burn crackers between 8pm and 10 pm on Diwali. On New Year and Christmas, the timing is from 11:45 pm to 12:15 am.
The court has also directed all states to explore feasibility of community cracker bursting during festivals. The Supreme Court’s verdict came in response to a plea seeking a ban on manufacturing and sale of firecrackers across the country to curb air pollution. This comes 15 days ahead of Diwali (November 7).
The matter was heard by a bench of Justices AK Sikri and Ashok Bhushan. On August 28, the bench had reserved its verdict.
नागपूर : इंटरनेटवरून ऑनलाइन एस्कॉर्ट सर्व्हिस देऊन सुरू असलेल्या सेक्स रॅकेट वर गुन्हे शाखेने छापा घातला. छाप्यात पश्चिम बंगालच्या दलालास अटक केली. देहव्यापाराच्या दलदलीत अडकलेली गुजरातच्या २३ वर्षीय तरुणीला ताब्यात घेतले. ही कारवाई सोमवारी सायंकाळी केली.
शंकर ऊर्फ सुधीर रामपद घोष (५२, रा. बबुलागाव, हसकाली. जि. नंदिया-पश्चिम बंगाल) हा उपराजधानीत पश्चिम बंगाल व गुजरात राज्यातील तरुणींचा देहव्यापारासाठी वापर करीत असल्याची माहिती गुन्हे शाखेचे उपायुक्त संभाजी कदम यांना मिळाली. फुटाळा, अमरावती रोडवर युवतींना उभे करून तो थेट आंबटशौकीनांशी सौदा करीत होता. कदम यांनी सोमवारी सायंकाळी पंटर पाठविला. मोठी रक्कम देऊन सुधीर घोष याने सौदा केला.
तरुणीला लॉजवर जाण्यास सांगितले. दबा धरून बसलेल्या पोलिसांनी सुधीरला अटक केली तसेच युवतीला ताब्यात घेतले. अंबाझरी पोलिस ठाण्यात गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे.

सुधीर घोष हा मोठा दलाल आहे. त्याच्याकडे गुजरात, जम्मू-काश्मीर, कोलकाता, ओडिशा, चेन्नई, आसाम, पंजाब येथील तरुणी देहव्यवसायासाठी संपर्कात आहे. सुधीर देहव्यापारच्या पैशावर विमानाने वारी करतो. अन्य राज्यांतील मुलींना नागपुरात बोलावून त्यांना मोठमोठ्या हॉटेलमध्ये ठेवतो. तरुणींना थेट फुटाळा, सीताबर्डीतील मॉल, अंबाझरी आणि अमरावती रोडवर व्यवसायासाठी पाठवतो. त्यानंतर ऑनलाइनवरून ग्राहकाला कारमध्ये पाठवून लाखो रुपये कमावतो.
Nagpur : At last, Maharashtra Government has released Rs 150 crore as special grant to cash strapped Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Monday. The funds are likely to be used for releasing stalled payments of ongoing developmental works in the city.
Urban Development Department, in its order, stated that earlier State Government had released Rs 15 crore per annum between 1995-2000 for the special development of second capital of Maharashtra. Later, this fund was not released by successive Governments in the State.
Now, present Government headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has decided to again release special fund of Rs 150 crore for undertaking special development of Orange City.
Sandip Joshi, Ruling Party Leader in NMC has welcomed the decision of State Government to release funds for the development of city, this will expedite development work, he added. He expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister and Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari for releasing funds to the civic body.
Virendra Kukreja, Standing Committee Chief while extending gratitude towards Chief Minister Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that this fund would be used for making payment of ongoing developmental works in the city. Presently, NMC is constructing cement roads and over bridges. This fund will give relief to contractors who are agitating for more than a week demanding their dues. He hoped that the special grant will help in surpassing the budget target of Rs 2900 crore set by him.
Dismissing the last plea filed by a Mumbai-based organisation – Earth Brigade – and wildlife enthusiast Dr Jerryl Banait, the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has declined to stay the order by Forest Department to tranquilise and if necessary shoot the problem tigress T1 as a matter of last resort.
A division bench consisting of Justice Bhushan Dharmadhikari and Justice Shriram Modak, refused to stay or modify the shoot-at-sight order and made it clear that it had attained finality at the Supreme Court. The petitioners repeatedly sought to omit the option of eliminating T-1 as a measure of last resort, but High Court permitted forest authorities, to take a final call, if it develops into threat to human life.
Through an order passed by Wildlife Warden-cum- Principal Chief Conservator of Forest of Maharashtra, A K Mishra on September 4, the Forest Department officials were directed to make all attempts to tranquilise the tigress T1, which is roaming in jungles near Pandharkawda in Yavatmal district, with its two cubs; and in case it develops threat to human life, then only take steps to eliminate it.
Opposing the plea of the petitioners that in no case tigress should be permitted to be eliminated; through an affidavit, the respondents have refuted the contention of the petitioners that the respondents have diluted the procedure while implementing the impugned order and pointed out to the court that the impugned order has been affirmed by the HC on September 6 and subsequently by the Supreme Court without any change. The impugned order was passed by the Chief Wildlife Warden, under Section 11 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
नागपूर : व्यावसायिक वादातून ऑटोचालकाचे अपहरण करून त्याला लुटणाऱ्या टोळीला धंतोली व गुन्हे शाखा पोलिसांनी अटक केली.
बादल प्रधान (वय २४, रा. कुकडे ले-आऊट), गजानन लक्ष्मण वडगे (२०), सुकेश सिद्धार्थ ढेंगाळे (२५) व अक्षय अमुलकर (वय २४,सर्व रा. रामेश्वरी), अशी अटकेतील लुटारुंची, तर गिरिजेश उमेश पांडे (वय २८, रा. रामेश्वरी ), रिंगरोड असे ऑटोचालकाचे नाव आहे.
पांडे हा सीताबर्डी ते रामेश्वरीदरम्यान सहा आसनी ऑटो चालवितो. रविवारी रात्री ८ वाजता पांडे हा मुंजे चौकातील महाराष्ट्र बँकेसमोरील ऑटोस्टँडवर ऑटो घेऊन आला. तो प्रवासी शोधत होता. याचवेळी चौघे तेथे आले. बळजबरीने त्याला ऑटोत बसविले. वर्धा मार्गावरील सुयोगनगर भागात घेऊन गेले. त्याच्याकडील मोबाइल व पाच हजार रुपये हिसकावले. चौघे ठार मारतील,या भीतीने संधी साधून पांडे याने ऑटोतून उडी घेतली. थेट धंतोली पोलिस स्टेशन गाठून तक्रार दिली. पोलिसांनी अपहरण व लुटपाटीचा गुन्हा दाखल करून गुन्हे शाखेच्या मदतीने चौघांना अटक केली.
नागपूर : महानगरपालिका किंवा जिल्हा परिषदेच्या शाळांमधून शिक्षण घेणारे अनेक जण आज प्रशासकीय अधिकारी म्हणून काम करीत आहेत. मी स्वत:ही महानरपालिकेच्या शाळेत शिक्षण घेतले आहे. त्यामुळे मनपा शाळांमधील शिक्षकांनी मनात आणले तर काहीही अशक्य नाही. शिक्षकांची सकारात्मकता आणि काही करण्याची तीव्र इच्छा असेल तर आपल्या मनपाच्या शाळाही वेगळ्या उंचीवर नेता येतील, असे प्रतिपादन मनपा आयुक्त व वनामतीचे संचालक रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी केले.
नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या २४ शाळांची ‘पायलट शाळा’ म्हणून निवड करण्यात आली आहे. या ‘पायलट शाळां’मधील मुख्याध्यापक, शाळा निरीक्षक व शिक्षकांसाठी वनामतीमध्ये २२ ते २६ ऑक्टोबर दरम्यान आयोजित पाच दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमाचे सोमवारी (ता. २२) आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे यांच्या हस्ते उद्घाटन झाले. उद्घाटन कार्यक्रमाला प्रमुख अतिथी म्हणून अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, उपायुक्त रवींद्र देवतळे, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, प्रशिक्षण समनवयक विश्वास पांडे उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे म्हणाले, आज पैशाअभावी मनपातील विकास कामे रखडलेली आहेत. मात्र जी निरंतर विकासाची कामे आहेत त्यांना मात्र वेगळ्या पैशांची गरज नाही. गरज आहे ती फक्त इच्छाशक्तीची, ती इच्छाशक्ती निर्माण करण्यासाठी व सकारात्मकता रुजविण्यासाठी या प्रशिक्षणाची सुरूवात करण्यात आली आहे, असेही आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे म्हणाले. प्रत्येकच पालकाला आपल्या मुलाने चांगले शिक्षण घ्यावे असे वाटते. प्रत्येक मुलाने शिक्षण घ्यावे हा त्याला अधिकार आहे. गरीब घरातील मुले चांगल्या शिक्षणापासून वंचीत राहू नयेत हा एकच ध्यास आहे. मनपाच्या शाळांमधून दर्जेदार व गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षण देता यावे, यासाठी सुरूवातीला आपण २४ ‘पायलट शाळा’ सुरू केल्या. या शाळा पुढे इतर शाळांसाठी आदर्श ठरतील व नेतृत्व करतील यासाठी शिक्षक, मुख्याध्यापकांनी पुढाकार घ्यावा, असेही आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे म्हणाले.
मनपाच्या सर्व विभागामध्ये सकारात्मकतेची लाट यावी हा उद्देश आहे. प्रत्येकामध्ये सकारात्मकता निर्माण झाल्यास त्याचे प्रतिबिंब आपल्या कामात दिसून येते. महानगरपालिका किंवा सरकारी शाळांमधील शिक्षकांनी मनात आणल्यास काय करू शकतात याची प्रचिती यायची असेल तर सर्व शिक्षकांनी भंडारा जिल्ह्यातील लाखनी तालुक्यात असलेल्या खराशी या गावातील जिल्हा परिषदेच्या शाळेला भेट द्यावी, असेही ते म्हणाले. एकेकाळी दोन शिक्षकी असलेल्या या शाळेमध्ये पाचवीपर्यंत शिक्षण दिले जात आहे. आज पाचवीपर्यंत कोणत्याही वर्गात प्रवेशासाठी जिल्हा परिषदेच्या या शाळेतील मुख्याध्यापकांकडे आमदारांचे पत्र जात आहेते, हे या शाळेतील शिक्षकांचे यश आहे. जिल्हा परिषद शाळेतील पहिलीच्या मुलालाही इंग्रजीमध्ये संवाद साधता येतो, हे या शाळेत गेल्यानंतर दिसून येते. शिक्षकांनी इच्छाशक्ती व आपली क्षमता जाणून घेण्यासाठी या शाळेत एकदा भेट द्यावी, असेही आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी सांगितले. आज आपल्या मनपाच्या शाळांनाही नेतृत्वाची आवश्यकता आहे. आपण एक ‘पायलट शाळा’ म्हणून ते नेतृत्व पुढे येउ द्यावे. हे नेतृत्व दिल्यास प्रत्येक शाळा आदर्श ठरेल, असा विश्वासही आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी व्यक्त केला.
अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी म्हणाले, नागपूर महानगरपालिकेमध्ये १५८ शाळा आहेत. यापैकी २४ शाळांची ‘पायलट शाळा’ उपक्रमासाठी निवड करण्यात आली आहे. या पायलट शाळा प्रत्येक झोनमधील मनपा शाळांचे नेतृत्व करणा-या शाळा आहेत. ‘पायलट शाळा’ उपक्रमाद्वारे पुढील वर्षीपर्यंत मनपाच्या शाळांमध्ये दीडपट पटसंख्या व दीडपट निकाल वाढविणे हा या उपक्रमाचा उद्देश असल्याचे अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी यांनी सांगतिले. ‘पायलट शाळां’च्या माध्यमातून प्रत्येक झोनमध्ये दर्जेदार शिक्षण देणा-या अनेक शाळा उभ्या राहाव्यात यासाठी सर्वांनी प्रयत्न करणे आवश्यक आहे. मुख्याध्यापक व शिक्षकांच्या वैयक्तिक जडणघडणीसह कामाचा दर्जा सुधारण्यासाठी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे यांच्या संकल्पनेतून हे प्रशिक्षण घेण्यात येत असल्याचेही त्यांनी यावेळी सांगितले.
कार्यक्रमाचे संचालन शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार यांनी केले तर आभार साने गुरूजी माध्यमिक शाळेचे प्रभारी श्याम गहुकर यांनी मानले.

नागपूर : जिल्हा सातत्यपूर्ण व्यावसायिक शिक्षण अंतर्गत नागपूर महानगरपालिका शिक्षण विभागाच्या ‘कलादालन’ने सादर केलेले सामाजिक विषयावरील नाट्यप्रस्तुतीने राज्यस्तरावर झेप घेतली आहे. जिल्हा आणि विभागीय स्तरावर प्रथम पुरस्कार मिळविणाऱ्या या नाट्यकृतीतील विद्यार्थी कलावंतांचा सोमवारी (ता. २२) महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी गौरव केला.
मनपा मुख्यालयातील महापौर कक्षात पार पडलेल्या कार्यक्रमात हा गौरव करण्यात आला. यावेळी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्यासह क्रीडा समितीचे सभापती नागेश सहारे, विधी समितीचे सभापती धर्मपाल मेश्राम, ज्येष्ठ नगरसेवक दयाशंकर तिवारी, सुनील अग्रवाल, नगरसेवक जितेंद्र घोडेस्वार, नगरसेविका सरीता कावरे, आयेशा उईके, अपर आयुक्त राम जोशी, उपायुक्त रवींद्र देवतळे, शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार, क्रीडा निरिक्षक नरेश चौधरी, जनसंपर्क अधिकारी अशोक कोल्हटकर यावेळी उपस्थित होते.
‘कुमारावस्था में बच्चों की स्वच्छंद दोस्ती’ ह्या नाट्यप्रस्तुतीला जिल्हास्तरावर आणि विभागीय स्तरावर प्रथम पारितोषिक प्राप्त झाले. जिल्हास्तरावर नागपूर शहरातील खासगी शाळांसह जिल्ह्यातील शाळांचाही सहभाग होता तर विभागीय स्तरावर चंद्रपूर, गडचिरोली, वर्धा, गोंदिया, तुमसर आदी ठिकाणच्या चमू सहभागी झाल्या होत्या. नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्या चमूने सादर केलेल्या नाट्यप्रस्तुतीचे लेखन कलादालनच्या उपाध्यक्ष मधु पराड यांनी केले होते. तर दिग्दर्शन कलादालनचे प्रमुख सूर्यकांत मंगरुळकर आणि मधु पराड यांनी केले. निर्मितीसाठी शिक्षणाधिकारी संध्या मेडपल्लीवार यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात कलादालनच्या उपाध्यक्ष गीता विष्णु, कार्यक्रम समन्वयक संध्या पवार, श्रीमती दिवटे यांचे सहकार्य लाभले. या नाट्यप्रस्तुतीत आंचल गोपाल राव, खुशबू राजेश रेड्डी, लिना लक्ष्मण मेश्राम, किसनलाल भाईलाल उपवैश्य, प्रज्ज्वल कन्हैय्या कोकरडे या कलावंतांनी आपल्या अभिनयाने रसिकांची मने जिंकली.
मार्गदर्शक शिक्षकांसह या सर्व कलावंतांचा सत्कार महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आला. यावेळी सर्व कलावंतांना प्रमाणपत्र व रोख रक्कम सत्काररूपात देण्यात आली. यावेळी बोलताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार म्हणाल्या, महानगरपालिकेच्या विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये अनेक गुण दडलेले आहेत. शिक्षक त्यांच्यावर मेहनत घेऊन त्यांच्यातील कलागुणांना प्रोत्साहन देत आहेत. परिणामी, विभागीय आणि राज्यस्तरावर हे विद्यार्थी यश प्राप्त करीत आहेत. महानगरपालिकेसाठी ही अभिमानाची बाब आहे. त्यांच्यातील कलावंतांना प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी नागपूर महानगरपालिका त्यांना आवश्यक ते सर्व सहकार्य करेल, असा विश्वास त्यांनी दिला.
यावेळी संबंधित शाळेच्या मुख्याध्यापिका, क्रीडा व शिक्षण विभागातील अधिकारी, कर्मचारी उपस्थित होते.
Nagpur: The former Union Finance Minister and rebel BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Monday declared that he would campaign for Congress candidates in the coming Assembly elections in four states.
Sinha reached Nagpur on way to Amravati to attend a programme and was speaking to media persons. He said if Congress invites him for defeating BJP in the Assembly elections being held four states then he was ready to accept the invitation.
Criticising the policies of Central Government, the sulking BJP leader targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi again. “In the past four years, nothing has been done for people. In his every speech, Modi criticises Nehru-Gandhi family. The protocol of not delivering political speeches in government functions is not being followed. During the rule of this government, every region of the country has gone backward. The working style of Modi has endangered the country’s economy and sovereignty of the autonomous bodies,” he charged.
“The United States of America had in 2008 witnessed unprecedented financial crisis following collapse of biggest bank – Lehmann Brothers. India is passing through the same situation. Anger is brewing among people and it would be reflected in the next Lok Sabha elections. Defeat of Modi will be achieved not by any Mahagathbandhan but coordination among regional parties. I am ready to campaign against Modi for saving the nation from perilous situation. Assembly elections are being held in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana next month. Congress or other Opposition parties invite me to campaign then I will definitely accept the invite and campaign for them,” Sinha said.

नागपुर : सोमवार की सुबह नागपुर रेल्वे स्टेशन पर आरपीएफ ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए दक्षिण एक्सप्रेस से गांजे की बड़ी खेप को पकड़ा। पकड़े गए गांजे वजन लगभग ३५ किलो है जिसकी कीमत ४ लाख रुपये तक है। गांजे की बैग के साथ आरोपी भी पकड़ में आया है। कार्रवाई मंडल सुरक्षा आयुक्त के मार्गदर्शन में सिपाही विकास शर्मा, विवेक कनोजिया आदि ने मिलकर की है। गत एक माह में यह नागपुर स्टेशन पर की गई गांजे की कार्रवाई में बड़ी कार्रवाई है।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार नागपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर रोज की तरह ट्रेन नंबर १२७२१ हैदराबाद-निजामुद्दीन एक्सप्रेस प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक पर सुबह १० बजे पहुंची थी। ड्यूटी पर तैनात सिपाही विकास शर्मा अपने साथियों के साथ गश्त लगा रहा थे। ट्रेन की भी जांच-पड़ताल की लेकिन कुछ हाथ नहीं लगा। ऐसे में बी-1 कोच से एक आरोपी बैग लेकर जा रहा था। सिपाही ने उसे बैग के बारे में पूछा लेकिन कोई संतोषजनक जवाब नहीं मिला। ऐसे में उसे बैग खोलने को कहा। बैग खोलने पर भीतर अनगिनत खाकी रंग के पैकेट थे। जिसके बारे में पूछने पर आरोपी ने बताया कि गांजा है। यह गांजा वह नागपुर स्टेशन से छिंदवाड़ा बाय रोड ले जाने की फिराक में था।
हालांकि आरपीएफ ने इसे सफल नहीं होने दिया। गत एक माह से आरपीएफ की ओर से लगातार कार्रवाई की जा रही है। जिसमें मुख्य रूप से शराब तस्करी पकड़ी जा रही है। लेकिन इसी माह में 4 बार गांजे की कार्रवाई भी हुई है। लेकिन सोमवार को हुई कार्रवाई बड़ी कार्रवाई में शामिल है। गत वर्ष ट्रेनों से गांजे की तस्करी लगातार हो रही थी। जिसके बाद रेलवे पुलिस व आरपीएफ ने मिलकर गांजा तस्कर के मुख्य आरोपी को पकड़ लिया था। इसके बाद से गांजे की तस्करी बहुंत कम हो गई थी। लेकिन कुछ समय से गांजे की कार्रवाई सामने आने से फिर एक बार ट्रेनों के माध्यम से गांजा तस्करी की बात से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता है।
अत्याचार झाल्यानंतर इतक्या वर्षांनी सगळ्यांना जाग का येते? घटना घडली तेव्हाच आवाज का नाही उठवला असा सवाल ज्येष्ठ समाजसेविका सिंधुताई सपकाळ यांनी विचारला आहे. Me Too मोहीमेबद्दल त्यांना विचारले असता त्यांनी आपले मत व्यक्त केले.
१० वर्षांनी अशाप्रकारे आरोप करणे चुकीचे आहे असेही त्या म्हणाल्या. काळजात कळ उठते तेव्हा माणूस गप्प राहू शकत नाही. त्यामुळे अत्याचार झाला तेव्हाच आवाज उठवायला हवा असे त्यांनी सांगितले. अहमदनगर जिल्ह्यातील शेवगाव तालुक्यात एका कार्यक्रमासाठी कार्यक्रमाप्रसंगी पत्रकारांशी बोलताना सिंधुताईंनी आपल्या भावना व्यक्त केल्या.
पुढे त्या म्हणाल्या, आता या मोहीमेमुळे जे दोषी नाहीत त्यांनाही विनाकारण शिक्षा भोगावी लागेल. आरोप करणारी महिला ही ज्याप्रमाणे कुणाची तरी पत्नी, बहिण, आई आहे त्याचप्रमाणे पुरुषही कोणाचा तरी मुलगा, वडिल, भाऊ असतात. सध्या जगभरात आणि विशेषत: भारतात MeToo चे वादळ सुरु असून अनेक महिला आपल्यावर बऱ्याच वर्षापूर्वी झालेला अत्याचार यानिमित्ताने सांगत आहेत.

Nagpur: A youth slipped into the deep waters of Kanhan river near Kamptee while enjoying picnic along with his friends. The deceased has been identified as Prashik Wanjari (21), a resident of Naya Godam area of Kamptee town. Police sources said Prashik had gone to Mahadeo Ghat area with friends for a picnic in the afternoon. Prashik ventured into the river for swimming with his freinds While swimming, he entered in deep water and drowned. Staff of Kamptee police arrived at the spot after being informed by the youths. The body was fished out in the evening. New Kamptee police have registered a case of accidental death.

यवतमाळ : मागील ३९ दिवसांपासून यवतमाळ जिल्ह्याच्या जंगलात T1 वाघीण पकडण्यासाठी जी मोहीम सुरु होती, तिला मोठा धक्का बसला आहे. कारण त१ वाघीण आणि तिचे दोन बछडे बशुद्ध करून जेरबंद करण्यासाठी जे पॅरा मोटर आणि दोन इटालियन श्वान आणले होते ते आता मोहिमेतून परत गेले आहेत.
T1 वाघिणीची राळेगाव मोहादा भागातील साधारण १८ गावात दहशत आहे. या वाघिणीला जेरबंद करण्यासाठी आणलेल्या हत्तीने धुमाकूळ घातला आणि तो प्रयत्न अयशस्वी ठरला. पॉवर पॅरा मोटर खड्ड्यात गेले, त्यामुळे ते आता नादुरुस्त झाले आहे. विशेष म्हणजे भारताचे प्रसिध्द गोल्फर ज्योती रंधावा हे सुद्धा त्यांचे प्रत्येकी ६ लाख किमतीचे केन कोर्स जातीचे दोन इटालियन श्वान घेऊन या भागात वाघीण जेरबंद करण्याच्या दृष्टीने दाखल झाले होते. मात्र तेही आता परत गेले असल्याने या मोहिमेला धक्का बसला आहे.

पॅरा मोटर त्यामुळे ज्योती रंधवा या मोहिमेतून परत गेले, अस वन विभागाकडून सांगण्यात आल.
दुरुस्तीला गेले असीन काही दिवसात एका ठराविक क्षेत्रात वाघ आहे हे लक्षात आल्यावर वन विभाग पुन्हा श्वा बोलावणार आहे. वन संरक्षक एस बी लिमये यांनी याबाबत माहिती दिली.
The prime witness in the case of a Kerala nun’s rape, allegedly by Bishop Franco Mulakkal of the Jalandhar diocese, has died. Father Kuriakose Kattuthara, who had testified against the rape-accused priest, was found dead in his room at 10 am on Monday in a church in Bhogpur in Jalandhar.
While several priests, as well as his family, have alleged a conspiracy into the death, Father Peter, Mulakkal’s spokesperson from the Jalandhar diocese, asserted that Kattuthara’s death was “natural”.
“We got to know about this at 10 am today (Monday). Bishop (Franco Mulakkal) has no connection with the death of Father Kattuthara, as there was no personal enmity between them,” Father Peter was quoted.
The prime witness in the Kerala nun’s rape case, Father Kattuthara had also supported the protest several nuns had staged against rape-accused Mulakkal. His body has been sent for an autopsy, and the report is awaited.
Franco Mulakkal was arrested on 21 September on a nun’s complaint that he had raped her at least 13 times between 2014 and 2016. He was released from a sub-jail near Kottayam on 17 October, a day after the Kerala High Court granted him bail. He had received a rousing welcome from his supporters on reaching Jalandhar after his release.

New Delhi: The country’s largest two wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp Monday forayed into the 125-cc scooter segment with the launch of all new product — Destiny 125.
The new model comes with two variants priced at Rs 54,650 and Rs 57,500, respectively.

Nagpur: In a failed attempt to rob a man, a three bike-borne criminals attacked a pedestrian in Kalamna area on Sunday night. Deepak Mahadeo Jha (37), a resident of Plot No. 1015, NIT Complex, was walking on the road at 9.30 pm near his house.
The robbers approached him and threatened him with a sharpweapon and asked to handover his belongings. When Deepak attempted to caught hold of the knife, the accused stabbed on his wrist. Soon after, the robbers sped away on their motorcycle. Kalamna police have registered the case under Sections 394 and 34 of IPC.
India skipper Virat Kohli has made it a habit to cross a milestone in every single match he plays. On Sunday against West Indies in the first ODI at Guwahati, Kohli became the fastest cricketer to score 60 international hundreds.
In the process, he broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record, who took 426 innings whereas Kohli reached the landmark in 40 fewer innings. Kohli, who has now scored 36 ODI and 24 Test centuries, is the fifth cricketer to hit 60 international tons.
Kohli, who was eventually dismissed for 140, also equalled another record set by Tendulkar of scoring more than 2,000 international runs in a calendar year for India for a record fifth time.

नागपूर : शहरातील सिमेंट काँक्रिटचे रस्ते निधीअभावी रखडले असताना आता केंद्राच्या निधीतून तयार होत असलेल्या रिंग रोडला मिळणाऱ्या निधीची गती मंदावली आहे. यामुळे केंद्रीय निधी योजनेतील सिमेंट काँक्रिटच्या रस्त्याची कामे रखडल्याची माहिती पुढे आली.
केंद्रीय मार्ग निधी योजनेअंतर्गत ४१.४५ किलोमीटरच्या रिंग रोडचे काँक्रिटीकरण केले जात आहे. या रस्त्याचा कालावधी दोन वर्षांचा निश्चित होता. निविदा २० टक्के कमी दराने कंत्राटदाराला दिल्याने २९२.७२ कोटींच्या रस्त्याची किंमत २६० कोटींवर आली. त्यापैकी आतापर्यंत केवळ १४९ कोटींचा निधी मिळाल्याची माहिती सूत्रांनी दिली. यामुळे कंत्राटदारांची देयके थांबली आहेत. त्याचा फटका रिंग रोडच्या कामाला बसला. कामाची वाढलेली व्याप्ती आणि कामामुळे कालावधी वाढल्याचे प्रशासनाकडून सांगितले जाते. मात्र, निधी न मिळणे हे मुख्य कारण असल्याची बाब पुढे आली.
सिमेंट काँक्रिटचे काम ३४ अंश सेल्सियसपेक्षा अधिक तापमानात केल्यास कामाचा दर्जा खालावतो. उन्हाळ्यात तापमानही ४५ अंश सेल्सियसपेक्षा अधिक असते. त्या तापमानात काम करणे कठीण असल्याने तशीच कामाची गती कमी असताना आता निधीचा प्रश्न ऐरणीवर आल्याने कामे रखडली आहेत.
नागपूर : थकीत पाणी बिल व अवैध नळ कनेक्शन याबाबत नागपूर महानगरपालिकेने कठोर पवित्रा घेतला असून सोमवार (ता. २२) पासून मनपा प्रशासन, जलप्रदाय विभाग, ओसीडब्लू आणि पोलिसांच्या उपस्थितीत कारवाई करण्यात येईल, असा इशारा जलप्रदाय समितीचे सभापती विजय (पिंटू) झलके यांनी दिला.
थकीत पाणी बिल वसूली व अवैध नळ कनेक्शन संदर्भात सभापती विजय झलके यांच्या कक्षात शनिवारी (ता. २०) बैठक आयोजित करण्यात आली. बैठकीला जलप्रदाय समिती उपसभापती श्रद्धा पाठक, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, जलप्रदाय विभागाचे उपअभियंता प्रदीप राजगिरे, मनोज गणवीर, ओसीडब्ल्यूचे राहुल कुळकर्णी, राजेश कारला प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
यंदाच्या पावसाळ्यात पाऊस कमी पडल्याने जलाशयांमध्ये पाणीसाठा अत्यल्प आहे. त्यामुळे येणा-या उन्हाळ्यात शहरात पाण्याची टंचाई निर्माण होण्याची शक्यता आहे. शहरात निर्माण होणा-या पाण्याच्या समस्येशी सामना करण्यासाठी आधीपासूनच तयारी करणे आवश्यक आहे. यासाठी आतापासून यांसंबंधी पाउल उचलणे आवश्यक आहे.
शहरात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर अवैध नळ कनेक्शन सुरू आहेत. या नळ कनेक्शनमुळे इतरांना पुरेसे पाणी मिळत नाही. या अवैध नळ कनेक्शन धारकांवर येत्या सोमवारपासून कठोर कारवाई करण्यात येईल.
याशिवाय मोठ्या प्रमाणात नागरिकांकडे थकीत पाणी बील आहे.
नागपूर महानगपालिकेने २०१६ व २०१७ या वर्षी पाणी कर अभय योजनेंतर्गत नागरिकांना थकीत पाणी बिलामध्ये सवलत दिली होती. मात्र यानंतरही पूर्णपणे पाणी कर जमा करण्यात आले नाही. त्यामुळे आता थकीत पाणी कर धारकांबाबत कोणतिही हयगय न करता थेट कारवाई करण्यात येईल. विशेष म्हणजे या कारवाईदरम्यान कोणतिही अनुचित घटना घडू नये यासज्ञठी ‘स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स’ तैनात करण्यात आली असून या फोर्सच्या उपस्थितीतच ही कारवाई करण्यात येणार आहे, असेही जलप्रदाय समिती सभापती विजय झलके यांनी सांगितले.
थकीत पाणी बिल धारकांवर होणारी कारवाई टाळण्यासाठी सर्वच थकीत पाणी कर धारकांनी संबंधित झोनमध्ये कर भरणा करून कारवाई टाळावी, असे आवाहनही सभापती विजय (पिंटू) झलके यांनी यावेळी केले.
अहमदनगर, 22 ऑक्टोबर : अहमदनगर – पुणे मार्गावर भीषण अपघात झाला आहे. या अपघातात 8 जणांचा जागीच मृत्यू झाला. पारनेर तालुक्यातील वाडेगव्हाण फाटा इथं पहाटे साडेपाच वाजता हा अपघात घडला. बस चालकाचं नियंत्रण सुटल्याने हा अपघात झाला आहे.
औरंगाबादहून पुण्याकडे जाणाऱ्या बसने उभ्या असलेल्या ट्रकला जोरदार धडक दिल्याने हा अपघात झाला. ट्रकला धडक बसल्यानंतर बसमधील अनेकजण जखमी झाले. जबर मार लागल्याने चालकासह इतर सात जणांचा जागीच मृत्यू झाला. अपघात घडल्यानंतर काही वेळातच पोलीस तिथं हजर झाले. प
ण पहाटेच्या सुमारास हा अपघात घडल्याने जखमींना तातडीने मदत मिळू शकली नाही. आता या अपघातातील जखमींना जवळच्या रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आलं आहे. दरम्यान, हा अपघात इतका भीषण होता की, बसची धडक बसल्यानंतर अर्धा ट्र्क वेगळा झाला. तसंच बसचीही अवस्था अत्यंत वाईट झाली.

तामिळनाडूचे राज्यपाल बनवारीलाल पुरोहित म्हणाले, माहिती तंत्रज्ञानाच्या युगात विविध क्षेत्रातील कौशल्य आत्मसात करतांनाच विद्यार्थ्यांनी संवेदनशीलता जपणेही गरजेचे आहे. विद्यार्थीदशेपासूनच मूल्यांची जपवणूक करत तत्व जोपासा. अन्याय कधीही सहन करु नका. साधेपणाने जीवन जगा. असे आवाहनही श्री.पुरोहित यांनी केले. राज्याने शिक्षण क्षेत्रात मोठी झेप घेतली, असल्याचेही श्री.पुरोहित यांनी सांगितले.

कुलगुरु सिद्धार्थविनायक काणे म्हणाले, आजच्या जागतिकीकरणाच्या युगात अनेक आव्हाने समोर असून पदवी प्राप्त केल्यानंतरच खऱ्या अर्थाने जीवनाला प्रारंभ होतो. ज्ञानी व्यक्ती सर्वत्र पूज्यनीय असून विद्यार्थ्यांनी ज्ञानाची कास धरावी. समाजसेवेकडेही लक्ष द्यावे, असे श्री.काणे यांनी सांगितले.

This year the 10th edition of Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive was conducted in the Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering & Research at Shr iDatta Meghe Auditorium on loth October 2018. The magnificent event saw a participation of over 700 students coming from various colleges across the city. Through the words of celebrated entrepreneurs and industrialists like Ms. Roshni Dhal, Co-founder at HighOn-M, Mr. Ranjit Singh, MD & CEO at Syslogyx Technologies Pvt Ltd., Mr. Ismail Akbani, Pune, Mr. Ridhesh Sejpal, Co-founder of Goodfellas Studio & Mr Ameya Kannamwar, Co-founder at Oceanergy, the startup enthusiastic students realized that a real entrepreneur is the one who does and not lust dreams, he does not wait for the opportunity to knock the door, he builds the door himself. Mr. Ranjit Singh focused on the point ‘The Role of Technology in the growing startup ecosystem’ whereas Ms. Roshni Dhal elaborated the topic ‘Why startup over job?’.
Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive, conducted by the E-Cell, IIT Kharagpur, comes every year to reinstate the spirit of Entrepreneurship among the college students of India. Starting from 10 cities and 15,000 students it has grown exponentially to 22 cities and over 30,000 students in its 10th edition held in 2017.
And the impact of this very Drive can be understood through the number of college-student-startups that participate in the annual global business model competition, Empresario conducted by E-Cell itself. Empresario is E-Cell’s very own Annual Business Model competition where business ideas in all fields ranging from Product and Service, Product Design to Social get equal opportunity to win the prize and incubation money to the tune of INR 2.5 crore. The prizes and services for the winners as per the last year are worth 25 lacs INR.
This year, Entrepreneurship Cell IIT Kharagpurare proud to present the new prestigious Empresario 2019 in association with International Business Model Competition (1BMC).
The best entries in all categories will get an opportunity to participate directly in the semi-final rounds of IBMC 2019 which will be conducted abroad.

Punjab : Over the last few days, Dalbir Singh had donned the role of Ravana in the Ramlila celebrations in Amritsar. However, on Dussehra, he met a similar fate as that of the character he played. Dalbir was among the 60 people who were killed in the massive train accident at the Dussehra celebrations in Amritsar on Friday.
He is survived by his mother, wife and an eight-month-old baby. With Dalbir being the sole bread earner, the hapless family is now looking up to the government for help. “I appeal to the government to provide a job to my daughter-in-law. She also has an 8-month old baby,” Dalbir’s mother said.

Former India swing bowler Praveen Kumar has called time on his professional playing career. The 32-year-old, who last donned the national colours in 2012, revealed that he will only turn out for ONGC in company cricket as he prepares for a career in coaching.
“I have decided to retire from cricket. The decision is not taken in haste, I gave a thought over it and I felt it was a right time to say goodbye to the sport which gave me so much,” Praveen told.
The Meerut-born Praveen made 84 international appearances since his debut against Pakistan in 2007. Despite his prodigious abilities to swing the ball, he was restricted to only six Test caps, during which he picked up 27 wickets at a healthy average of 25.81. He enjoyed a successful series of England in 2011 despite India’s abysmal 0-4 scoreline but mysteriously failed to get another game in the India whites.
नागपूर : बांधकाम प्रक्रीयेला मंजुरी देण्यासाठी नव्याने तयार करण्यात आलेल्या बीटीएमएस सॉप्टवेअरमध्ये आर्किटेक्ट व बिल्डरांना अडचणी येत आहे. त्यासंदर्भात त्यांनी शुक्रवारी स्थायी समिती सभापती वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा यांना निवेदन सादर केले. त्यांच्या अडचणी व समस्या जाणून घेण्यासाठी शुक्रवारी (ता.१९) स्थायी समिती सभापती वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा व प्रभारी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी मनपा मुख्यालयातील स्थायी समिती सभापती कक्षामध्ये बैठक आयोजित केली.
या बैठकीला नगररचना विभागाचे सहायक संचालक प्रमोद गावंडे, नगररचना विभागाचे श्रीकांत देशपांडे, प्रफुल्ल फरकासे यांच्यासह क्रिडाईचे पदाधिकारी प्रामुख्याने उपस्थित होते.
प्रारंभी स्थायी समिती सभापती वीरेंद्र कुकरेजा आणि प्रभारी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे यांनी क्रिडाई व आर्किटेक्टांना येणा-या बांधकाम मुंजुरीसाठी येणा-या समस्या व अडचणी जाणून घेतल्या. यामध्ये अधिग्रहण प्रमाणपत्र घेण्यासाठी होणारा उशीर, स्ट्रक्चरल स्थिरता प्रमाणपत्र, सिक्युरिटी डिपॉजिट यासारखे अनेक विषयांवर त्यांना समस्या येत असतात. यावर काहीतरी कायमस्वरूपी उपाययोजना काढण्यात याव्यात, अशी मागणी क्रिडाईने केली आहे. याव्यतिरिक्त शासनाने बांधकाम मुंजुरीसाठी ऑनलाईन अर्जसादर करण्यासाठी तयार करण्यात आलेले बीटीएमएस सॉप्टवेअरमध्ये अडचणी येत आहेत, त्यावरही तोडगा काढण्यात याव्यात, अशी मागणी क्रिडाईने केली आहे.
यावर बोलताना प्रभारी आयुक्त रवींद्र ठाकरे म्हणाले, कायद्याच्या चौकटीत बसून मंजुरी देण्यात येईल. ऑनलाईन पद्धतीने येणा-या अडचणीसाठी प्रशिक्षण शिबिरे घेण्यात येईल, असे त्यांनी सांगितले. सॉप्टवेअर अद्ययावत प्रक्रीया दोन तीन महिन्यात पूर्ण होईल, त्यानंतर कोणतिही अडचण येणार नसल्याची माहिती त्यांनी दिली.
