Known for his strictness former municipal commissioner Tukaram Mundhe who had gained popularity for his management during COVID first wave is now shaking things up as state’s health commissioner.
Mundhe who is Health Services Commissioner has issued a list of orders regarding discipline of the health department officials. Mundhe in his list of orders said that health officials should not leave headquarters without permission from senior officials even on holidays. He also issued directions regarding taking leaves. Similarly, he has asked the officials to conduct surprise checks at district and sub-district health care centres.
