नागपूर : सध्या राज्यात कोरोनाचा प्रादुर्भाव वाढताना दिसत आहे. अशातच नागपुरात घडलेल्या घटनांनी संपूर्ण परिसरात खळबळ माजली आहे. नागपुरात अवघ्या काही तासांच्या अंतरावर दोन कोरोना बाधित वृद्धांनी गळफास लावून आत्महत्या केली आहे. या घटनेमुळे एकच खळबळ माजली आहे.
पहिली घटना नागपूरमधील सर्वात मोठं सरकारी रुग्णालय म्हणजेच, शासकीय वैद्यकीय रुग्णालयाच्या कोविड वॉर्डमध्येच घडली. 81 वर्षांच्या पुरुषोत्तम गजभिये नावाच्या वृद्ध व्यक्तीनं वॉर्डच्या बाथरूममध्ये काल संध्याकाळी गळफास लावून घेतला. पुरुषोत्तम गजभिये यांना कोरोनाचं निदान झाल्यांनतर 26 मार्च रोजीच रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले होते. काल संध्याकाळी बाथरूममध्ये गेलेले पुरुषोत्तम गजभिये बराच वेळ बाहेर न आल्याने रुग्णालयातील स्वच्छता कर्मचाऱ्याला शंका आली. त्याने डॉक्टरांना ही बाब सांगितली त्यानंतर कोरोना बाधित वृद्धाच्या आत्महत्येची घटना समोर आली. 26 मार्च रोजी रुग्णालयात दाखल केल्यांनतर पुरूषोत्तम यांची अवस्था जाणून घेण्यासाठी कुटुंबिय रुग्णालयाकडे फिरकलेही नव्हते. त्यामुळे नैराश्यात त्यांनी टोकाचे पाऊल उचलले असावे अशी शंका व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
दुसरी घटना नागपुरातील अजनी पोलीस स्टेशन अंतर्गत पंच्याशी प्लॉट परिसरात घडली. वसंतराव कुटे या 68 वर्षीय वृद्ध व्यक्तीनं आज सकाळी राहत्या घरीच गळफास लावून आत्महत्या केली. वसंतराव कुटे यांना 26 मार्च रोजी कोरोनाची लागण झाल्याचं निष्पन्न झालं होतं. पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, वसंतराव कुटे आधीच मुतखड्याच्या आजाराने त्रस्त होते. त्यांच्या कुटुंबातील इतर काही सदस्यही कोरोना बाधित असल्याची माहिती मिळत आहे. आजारपणातील नैराश्यातूनच त्यांनी आत्महत्या केली असावी अशी माहिती अजनीचे पोलीस निरीक्षक विजय चौधरी यांनी दिली आहे.
नागपुरात गेलं काही आठवडे कोरोनाचा थैमान सुरु आहे. रोज तीन आणि चार हजारांच्या घरात कोरोना बाधितांची संख्या वाढत आहे. शिवाय मृतांचा आकडाही वाढताच आहे. त्यामुळे कोरोनाची भीती आता लोकांच्या मनावर खासकरून वृद्धांच्या मानसिकतेवर नकारात्मक प्रभाव पाडत आहे का? आणि कोरोनाच्या तणावात आणि भीतीमुळे लोकं आत्महत्या करत आहेत का? असा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला आहे. काही तासांच्या फरकानं घडलेल्या दोन आत्महत्यांच्या घटनेमुळे परिसरात हळहळ व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
Nagpur: Ranjit Safelkar, involved in the murder case of architect Eknath Nimgade and goon Manish Shrivas, was finally arrested by Nagpur Police on Tuesday. He will be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which is investigating the murder case of architect Nimgade.
Commissioner of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar informed the local daily that Safelkar was nabbed from the city itself on Tuesday evening. “Our teams are questioning him in connection with his involvement in gory crimes. He would be handed over to CBI for further inquiry of Ranjit Safelkar,” the CP said.
It may be mentioned that in the last fortnight, the CP addressed two press conferences claiming to have solved the murder mysteries of Eknath Nimgade and Manish Shrivas. In both the murder cases, Safelkar was the prime accused, the CP had said.

Maharashtra’s COVID-19 task force recommended that the government implement measures like a stricter lockdown to stem the rise in coronavirus positive cases.
In view of the unabated rise in fresh COVID-19 cases, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has asked officials to prepare a lockdown plan which will have a minimum impact on the economy.
According to the press release issued by the CM’s office, during a meeting with Thackeray, the state’s COVID-19 task force recommended that the government implement measures like a stricter lockdown to stem the rise in coronavirus positive cases.

During the meeting, the principal secretary to the state health department Dr
Pradeep Vyas predicted a “tremendous stress” on the availability of beds, oxygen supply, and ventilators, which could fall short if the cases continue to go up.
According to a report in Indian Express, a complete lockdown is unlikely now. Local trains will continue to run and economic activities will have minimal impact, but restaurants, malls, public places, private offices, and pubs will have to adhere to strict protocols to reduce overcrowding, the report said.
inita Singhal, secretary of the labor department said that activities in construction, factories, and essential services will continue as usual. “But traveling in buses and trains will be staggered to minimize contact. Private offices will be expected to work with minimal staff and stagger work timings,” she said, as per the report.
The state government has already imposed a night curfew and announced a complete ban on holding of all types of gatherings, including political and religious in the state.
The government also ordered that restaurants, gardens, and malls will remain shut between 8 pm to 7 am beginning Saturday night. People will also not be allowed to visit beaches from 8 pm to 7 am, an official order said.
Some state leaders have, however, expressed concerns about the government’s decision to enforce lockdown.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that a complete lockdown will “devastate” the economy of Maharashtra. Raut said that he had asked Thackeray to impose targeted restrictions rather than issuing complete stay-at-home orders.
State BJP President Chandrakant Patil also said that lockdown is not a solution for the rise in cases of coronavirus. Patil said not only BJP, but all traders and workers from unorganized sectors will oppose the lockdown.
Maharashtra has seen a huge rise in coronavirus positive cases over the last week. A day after reporting the highest one-day rise of 40,414 coronavirus positive cases, Maharashtra on March 29 added 31,643 fresh infections, taking the overall tally to 27,45,518, the state health department said.

NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) AB de Villiers on Monday said that he is “all packed” to join the franchise for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“All packed to join the @royalchallengersbangalore team for the IPL,” de Villiers wrote on Instagram.
RCB skipper Virat Kohli has already begun his preparation for the cash-rich league. Earlier in the day, he shared a glimpse from his workout routine. “No rest days. From here on it’s all about speed #IPL,” Kohli tweeted.
RCB is set to play the IPL 2021 opener against Mumbai Indians on April 9 in Chennai.
Last week, Mike Hesson, the RCB Director of Cricket had said that AB de Villiers will once again be a wicketkeeping option for the franchise in this year’s IPL.
For a few matches last year, AB de Villiers donned the wicketkeeping gloves and he is expected to do the same this year if it fixes the balance of the playing XI.
“We were delighted with the fact that Ab de Villiers loved wicketkeeping and he embraced it. He wanted to continue doing it, he is a real option, we now have a couple of other wicketkeeping options which is great. Mohammed Azharuddin is a natural athlete with gloves and in the field. We also have KS Bharat, he is a natural keeper, gives us different options as well,” Hesson had said in a video posted on the official Twitter handle of RCB.
“We are not going to make the commitment now to you guys as to who will do what. We are really pleased with the options we have got and AB is certainly one of those,” he had added.
The final of the 14th edition of the tournament will be played on May 30 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Playoffs will also be played at the same venue.
Covis19 Nagpur: The Nagpur District reported 3,177 new novels Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and 55 more COVID-19 deaths on Monday. A total of 2,600 patients were discharged in the day following which the total number of recovered patients has reached 1,78,713.
Covis19 With the latest update, the total number of cases has reached 2,21,997 while the number of deaths rose 4,986.
As per the official report, out of the total Covis19 positive cases, 951 were from rural areas and 2,222 cases from Nagpur city alone while four cases were reported from out of the district. Meanwhile, from the total deaths, 31 were reported from Nagpur city, four deaths were registered from outside the district, while 20 casualties were reported from Nagpur rural.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases in the city now stand at 38,298 including asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation.

गर्भपात कायद्यात सुधारणा आणणारं विधेयक राज्यसभेत संमत झालं. या कायद्यानुसार कायदेशीर गर्भपाताचा कालावधी वाढवण्यात आला आहे. पण या बदलातही गर्भपात हा संपूर्णपणे महिलेचा अधिकार असल्याचं मान्य करण्यात आलेलं नाही. गर्भपातासाठी गर्भाचं व्यंग, मानसिक आजार अशा अटी या सुधारणेत ठेवण्यात आल्यात. पण महिलेच्या मन:स्थितीचा विचार यात केलेला नाही.
सन 1990 च्या सुरुवातीला अमेरिकेतला गुन्हेगारी दर अचानक निम्म्यावर आला. असं अचानक कसं झालं म्हणून सगळीकडे शोधाशोध सुरू झाली. शेवटी नॅशनल ब्युरो ऑफ इकॉनॉमिक रिसर्च या संस्थेकडून प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या अहवालात गुन्हेगारी कमी होण्यामागे 20 वर्षांपूर्वी गर्भपाताला मिळालेली कायदेशीर मान्यता हे कारण असल्याचं सांगितलं गेलं.
सुप्रीम कोर्टाने दिलेल्या निर्णयावरून 1973 मध्ये अमेरिकेत गर्भपात कायदेशीर करण्यात आला. त्यामुळे तीन दशकांनंतर तिथलं गुन्हेगारीचं प्रमाण 45 टक्क्यांनी कमी झालं. गर्भपात कायदेशीर झाल्यामुळे जी मुलं जन्माला आली, ती सुरक्षित वातावरणात, चांगल्या कुटुंबात वाढली. गुन्हेगारीकडे वळली नाहीत, असं हा अहवाल लिहिणार्या जॉन डोनोहू आणि स्टिव्ह लेविट या दोन अर्थशास्त्रज्ञांनी सांगितलं. दोघेही अनुक्रमे स्टँडफर्ड आणि शिकागो अशा प्रतिष्ठित युनिव्हर्सिटीतले अर्थशास्त्रज्ञ आहेत.
या अहवालाबाबत अनेक मतमतांतरं आहेत. अर्थात याने अमेरिकेतले सगळे गुन्हे थांबले, असं काही म्हणता येणार नाही. पण गर्भपाताचा अधिकार फक्त स्त्रीवरच नाही तर समाजावरही असा मोठा परिणाम करू शकतो याची प्रचिती या अहवालाने दिली.
भारतात नुकताच गर्भपाताच्या कायद्यात बदल करण्यात आला आहे. आरोग्यमंत्री हर्षवर्धन यांनी 2020 मध्ये गर्भपाताच्या कायद्यात बदल करणारं विधेयक संसदेत आणलं. मागच्या मंगळवारी म्हणजे 16 मार्च 2021 ला हे विधेयक राज्यसभेत संमत झालं.
1971 च्या गर्भपात कायद्यानुसार 18 वर्षांच्या पुढील कोणत्याही बाईला 20 आठवड्यांपर्यंत गर्भपात करता येत होता. गर्भ 12 आठवड्यांचा असेपर्यंत एका डॉक्टरच्या सल्ल्याने गर्भपात करणं शक्य होतं. 12 ते 20 आठवड्यात गर्भपात करायचा असेल तर 2 डॉक्टरांचा सल्ला आवश्यक होता. आता नव्या बदलानुसार गर्भपात करण्याचा कायदेशीर कालावधी 24 आठवड्यांपर्यंत वाढवलाय. 20 आठवड्यांत गर्भपात करायचा असेल तर एका डॉक्टरचा आणि 20 ते 24 आठवड्यांत गर्भपात करायचा असेल तर 2 डॉक्टरांचा सल्ला आवश्यक असल्याचं म्हटलंय. त्यातही 20 आठवड्यांच्या पुढे काही विशेष प्रकारातील स्त्रियांनाच गर्भपात करण्याची मुभा देण्यात आली आहे. पण या विशेष प्रकारात नेमकं कोण येतं याबाबत काहीही सांगितलेलं नाही. गर्भामध्ये मोठं व्यंग किंवा आजार असेल तर त्याचं निदान व्हायला किंवा गर्भारपणात बाईच्या जीवाला मोठा धोका आहे, हे लक्षात यायला अनेकदा 20 आठवड्यांचा काळ उलटून जातो. अशावेळी अनेक जोडपी कोर्टात धाव घेऊन गर्भपाताची परवानगी मागतात. गेल्या काही वर्षांत अशा प्रकरणांमध्ये खूपच वाढ झाली आहे. त्यामुळेच कायद्यात बदल केला गेला आहे.
गर्भपाताच्या कायद्यातल्या या बदलाचं सगळीकडे स्वागत केलं जातंय. ‘महिलांचा सन्मान आणि अधिकार जपणारं हे बदल आहेत’, असं केंद्रीय आरोग्यमंत्री हर्षवर्धन यांनी म्हटलंय. या गर्भपात सुधारणा कायद्यात काही गोष्टी खरंच महत्त्वाच्या आहेत. गर्भपात करणार्या महिलेची ओळख प्रसिद्ध करणं हा गुन्हा मानला जावा, असं यात म्हटलंय. तसंच आधीच्या कायद्यातलं ‘कोणत्याही विवाहित स्त्रीकडून किंवा तिच्या नवर्याकडून’ हे वाक्य काढून त्याऐवजी ‘कोणत्याही स्त्रीकडून किंवा तिच्या जोडीदाराकडून’ असं वाक्य टाकण्यात आलं आहे.
24 आठवड्यांनंतरही कोणत्याही आठवड्यात बाळाला मोठा आजार असल्याचं किंवा व्यंग असल्याचं निष्पन्न झालं आणि म्हणून बाईला गर्भपात करायचा असेल तर एका खास मेडिकल बोर्डाची परवानगी घेऊन तसं करता येईल, असं या सुधारित कायद्यात म्हटलंय. म्हणजे जास्तीत जास्त कधी गर्भपात करता येईल याबाबतची मर्यादा कायद्यात ठेवलेली नाही. त्यामुळेच कायद्यात सुधारणा झाली असली तरी कायदा अजूनही परिपूर्ण झालेला नाही, हेही आपण लक्षात घेतलं पाहिजे.
शिवाय, 20 ते 24 आठवड्यांत गर्भपात करण्याची परवानगी असलेल्या महिलांचा खास प्रकार म्हणजे नेमकं कोण हे सांगितलं नसलं तरी गर्भधारणेमुळे जीवाला धोका असलेली, बाळामध्ये व्यंग असलेली अशीच बाई यामध्ये येणार.
कायद्यानुसार गर्भपात करायचा असेल तर निदान एका डॉक्टरचा सल्ला किंवा सहमती आवश्यक असणार. आपल्याकडे पूर्वग्रहांमुळे बहुतेकवेळा अविवाहित मुलींना गर्भपाताची संमती द्यायला डॉक्टर तयार होत नाहीत. किंवा अशा मुलींकडे पाहण्याचा दृष्टिकोनही वेगळा असतो. लिंगनिदान चाचणी करून गर्भपात केल्यास गुन्हा मानला जातो. त्यामुळे बाईला नको असणार्या निरोगी बाळाचा गर्भपात करायचा असेल तर स्त्री भ्रूणहत्येच्या भीतीपोटी डॉक्टर पुढे येत नाहीत. कायद्याप्रमाणे 20 आठवड्यांच्या आधीही बलात्कार, जबरदस्ती यातून किंवा गर्भनिरोधक अपयशी ठरल्यामुळे गर्भधारणा झालेल्या बायका, मुलींनाच गर्भपात करता येणार आहे. थोडक्यात, कधीही गर्भपात करायचा असो, आपण गर्भपात का करतोय याचं स्पष्टीकरण महिलेस डॉक्टरांना द्यावं लागेल. ते त्यांना पटलं तरच गर्भपात करता येईल. फक्त बाईला मूल नको आहे, या एकाच गोष्टीवरून गर्भपाताची परवानगी कायद्यानं बाईला दिलेली नाही.
गर्भाचं व्यंग, मानसिक आजार याचा विचार सरकारने केलाय. पण बाईच्या मन:स्थितीचं काय? 24 आठवडे उलटून गेल्यानंतर परिस्थिती बदलली, आर्थिक संकट आलं, जोडीदाराचा मृत्यू झाला किंवा प्रसूतीची, मानसोपचारतज्ज्ञांची मदत घ्यावी लागतेय इतकी भीती वाटू लागली, कौटुंबिक हिंसाचारामुळे मूल नकोसं वाटू लागलं या सगळ्या शक्यतांचा विचारच झालेला नाहीय.
कायद्यात झालेल्या या बदलामुळे व्यंग असणार्या किंवा मानसिक आजार असणार्या लोकांबाबतही भेदभाव होतोय, असं म्हटलं जात आहे. व्यंग असलेल्या गर्भाचं मूल्य व्यंग नसलेल्या गर्भापेक्षा कमी असतं, असा अर्थ यातून निघतो. 24 आठवड्यांनंतर मेडिकल बोर्डानं परवानगी दिली तर आजारी असलेल्या किंवा व्यंग असलेल्या गर्भाचा गर्भपात करता येत असेल तर स्त्रीला नको असेल तर 24 आठवड्यानंतर सुरक्षितपणे गर्भपात का करता येत नाही? असाही द वायरमध्ये प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या एका लेखात किंग्स कॉलेज लंडनमध्ये हेल्थ लॉ शिकवणार्या प्राध्यापक दीपिका जैन म्हणतात. आपल्या मर्जीनुसार गर्भपात करणं हा बाईचा अधिकार आहे. तिच्या प्रजननाच्या अधिकाराचा तो भाग आहे, असं स्त्रीवादी कार्यकर्ते आणि स्त्रियांच्या प्रजनन हक्कांसाठी काम करणारे कार्यकर्ते म्हणतात. त्यामुळेच गर्भपात करायचा की नाही, कधी करायचा याचा पूर्ण अधिकार बाईकडेच असला पाहिजे, अशी मागणी केली जाते आहे.
गर्भपातावर बंदी असणारे जगात फक्त 6 देश आहेत. गर्भपाताचा संपूर्ण अधिकार बाईला देणारेही देश मोजकेच आहे. बहुतांश देश भारताप्रमाणे काही मर्यादा घालून गर्भपात करण्याचा अधिकार बाईला देतात. कोणाच्याही जगण्याच्या हक्काचं संरक्षण करणं ही सरकारची जबाबदारी आहे. त्यामुळे गर्भाच्या जगण्याच्या हक्काचं संरक्षण करण्यासाठी आम्हाला असे कायदे करावे लागतात, असं या सरकारचं म्हणणं असतं. त्यामुळे आत्ता भारतात झालं त्याप्रमाणे गर्भपाताचा पूर्ण अधिकार बाईला द्यायचा की नाही यावर अनेक वर्षांपासून वाद सुरू आहेत. पण भारतासाठी आणि सगळ्या जगासाठी हा पेच सोडवण्याचा सोपा मार्ग आपल्याकडे आहे. त्यासाठी जुडिथ जार्विस यांचं म्हणणं लक्षात घ्यावं लागेल. जार्विस या अमेरिकेतल्या तत्त्वचिंतक होत्या. जार्विस आपल्याला एक कल्पना करायला सांगतात. त्या म्हणतात, ‘समजा, एके सकाळी तुम्ही झोपेतून जागे होता आणि तुमच्या लक्षात येतं की, तुम्ही हॉस्पिटलच्या बेडवर आहात. तुमच्या अंगाला अनेक नळ्या वगैरे लावल्यात आणि त्या तुमच्या शेजारच्या बेडवरच्या बेशुद्धावस्थेतल्या माणसाला जोडल्यात. तुम्हाला सांगितलं जातं की, शेजारी झोपलेला हा माणूस म्हणजे प्रसिद्ध वॉयलनिस्ट आहे. वॉयलनिस्ट म्हणजे व्हायोलिन हे वाद्य वाजवणारा माणूस. आपण आपल्या सोयीसाठी त्या बेडवर कुणीतरी मोठा राजकारणी किंवा खेळाडू आहे, असं म्हणू.
जार्विस पुढे म्हणतात, त्या प्रसिद्ध माणसाला किडनीचा आजार आहे. त्याला जगवण्याचा एकमेव मार्ग म्हणजे त्याच्या रक्ताशी मिळत्या-जुळत्या रक्तावर त्याला 9 महिने ठेवणं. आणि संपूर्ण जगात त्याच्या रक्ताशी मिळतं-जुळतं असणारे असे फक्त तुम्हीच आहात. त्यामुळेच या प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तीच्या चाहत्यांनी तुम्हाला किडनॅप केलं आणि तिथं आणलं.
आता या सगळ्या नळ्या काढून टाकण्याचा अधिकार तुम्हाला असतो. पण तसं तुम्ही केलं तर त्या प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तीचा मृत्यू निश्चित आहे. याउलट तुम्ही 9 महिने असं सहन केलंत तर तो माणूस जगेल. पण तुम्ही नळ्या काढून टाकायला सांगितलंत तर त्याच्या मृत्यूला तुम्ही जबाबदार असाल. जार्विस म्हणतात, ‘तुम्ही खरंच अशा परिस्थितीत सापडलात तर तुमच्या रक्तावर त्या माणसाला जगवायला तुम्ही साफ नकार दिला पाहिजे. तुम्ही त्याला परवानगी दिलीत तर तो तुमचा दयाळूपणा असेल. पण नाही दिलीत तर तुम्ही पाप करताय, अनैतिक काम करताय असा त्याचा अर्थ होत नाही.’
आता याच न्यायानं गर्भपाताकडेही पाहा, असं जार्विस पुढे सांगतात. तुम्हाला न विचारता किडनॅप केलं जातं, तसं गर्भधारणा होते ती बाईला न विचारता! स्त्रीबीज आणि शुक्राणू यांचं मिलन बाईच्या मर्जीनं होत नाही. ते नैसर्गिक असतं. त्यामुळे नळ्या काढल्याबद्दल तुम्हाला आणि गर्भपात केल्याबद्दल बाईला जबाबदार ठरवण्याचं कारण नाही. पण आपल्या समाजात बहुतेकवेळा तसं केलं जातं. तत्त्वज्ञानाच्या भाषेत त्याला ‘फॉल्स मॉरल डायलेमा’ म्हणजेच फसवा नैतिक प्रश्न असं म्हटलं जातं. त्या प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तीला जगण्याचा अधिकार आहेच. पण तुमच्या परवानगीशिवाय तुमच्या शरीराचा भाग वापरणं हे या जगण्याच्या अधिकारात येत नाही. तसंच गर्भालाही जगण्याचा अधिकार असतो. पण त्याचं संरक्षण करताना बाईच्या शरीराचा तिच्या मर्जीविरोधात वापर करून घ्यायचा प्रश्नच येत नाही, असं जार्विस यांचं म्हणणं आहे. पिटर सिंगर यांच्या ‘प्रॅक्टिकल एथिक्स’ या पुस्तकात जार्विस यांचं हे म्हणणं स्पष्टपणे दिलंय.
थोडक्यात काय, तर बाईच्या शरीरावर बाईचा अधिकार असतो. तिनं कोणता जीव ठेवायचा, ठेवायचा नाही हे ठरवणंही तिचा अधिकार असतो, असं स्त्रीवादी कार्यकर्ते म्हणतात. तसंच तत्त्वचिंतकही म्हणतात. त्यामुळेच गर्भ ठेवायचा की नाही याचं पूर्ण स्वातंत्र्य बाईचं आहे हे आपण आणि आपल्या कायद्यानेही मान्य केलं पाहिजे.खरं म्हणजे हे स्वातंत्र्य मान्य केलं गेलं नाही तरीही गर्भपात होणारच आहेत. भारतात 56 टक्के गर्भपात हे असुरक्षित मार्गातून होतात. कायद्यामुळे डॉक्टर गर्भपात करू देत नसतील. तर गर्भपाताचं वैद्यकीय प्रशिक्षण नसलेल्या व्यक्तींकडून, अनेकदा भोंदू बुवा-बाबांकडून तो करून घेतला जातो. त्यापेक्षा गर्भपाताचा संपूर्ण अधिकार मान्य केला तर निदान सुरक्षित गर्भपाताचं प्रमाण वाढेल.

Teen Rape Survivor Tied A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 21-year-old man on Sunday in the tribal-dominated Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh, following which villagers paraded both the accused and the victim in public by tying them with ropes, police said. A total of six persons, including the man who is accused of rape, and five villagers, have been arrested.
A video showing the girl and the accused tied with ropes, being beaten, and forced to walk in public in the village under Jobat police station amidst slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” has gone viral on social media. The girl was rescued by police, a senior officer said.
Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Dilip Singh Bilwal said two cases were registered on Sunday on the FIRs lodged by the victim. “One of the cases was registered against the 21-year-old man who is accused of rape. Another FIR was registered against family members of the girl and villagers for parading her in the village and beating her,” Bilwal said, adding that the rape accused is married with two children.
He has been booked under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Family members and relatives of the victim were booked under sections 294 (Obscene act in public places), 355 (Assault or criminal force with intent to dishonor person), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 342 (wrongful confinement), and other sections of the IPC, the officer said.

Covid-19 cases, India’s total infection tally has risen to 11,908,910, the Union ministry of health and family welfare’s (MoHFW) dashboard showed on Saturday morning. Active caseload, meanwhile, has risen to 452,647.
India reported more than 60,000 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, the highest single-day rise since October last year, taking the country’s infection tally to 11,908,910. Overall, India recorded 62,258 new Covid-19 cases in the preceding 24 hours, the Union ministry of health and family welfare’s (MoHFW) dashboard showed on Saturday morning.
Nearly 300 more lives were lost to the viral disease in this period, with 291 related fatalities taking the death toll to 161,240, the ministry’s dashboard showed. Recoveries rose to 11,295,023, with 30,386 more patients being discharged, though the recovery rate ‘dropped’ slightly to 94.85%. Active caseload, meanwhile, witnessed a rise of 31,581 fresh cases, reaching 452,647.
Active cases and deaths comprise 3.80% and 1.35% of the total national tally, as per the dashboard. In the previous 24-hour rise, India had recorded 59,118 new cases and 257 deaths.
India Figures released by the government-run Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) show that it has tested nearly 240 million, or 239,769,553 samples for coronavirus thus far. This includes 1,164,915 samples tested by it on March 26.
India The second wave of the pandemic in the western state of Maharashtra is turning out to be worse than the first wave. Over the last three days, the state has seen more than 30,000 new cases, with the daily new tally being higher than the day before and the worst since the beginning of the pandemic, before being surpassed by cases on the next day. On Friday, Maharashtra recorded 36,902 fresh infections or 59.27% of total cases recorded nationally in the last 24 hours. The state also witnessed 112 deaths, taking its death toll to 53,907. Its capital city of Mumbai is also seeing record cases every day.
Overall, Maharashtra’s infection tally stands at 2,637,735, the highest among all states and Union territories. Its active caseload, at282,451, is also the highest. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray chaired a high-level meeting on Friday after which it was announced that a night curfew will come into effect in the state from March 28 onwards.
Several states have also prohibited public celebrations of various upcoming festivals in view of the Covid-19 surge.

ज्या वाहन धारकांच्या वाहनांचे फिटनेस प्रमाणपत्र, परवाना, नोंदणी, PUC किंवा इतर कागदपत्रांची वैधता १ फेब्रुवारी २०२० ला संपली आहे किंवा ३१ मार्च २०२१ रोजी संपणार आहे, अशांसाठी ही मुदतवाढ आहे.
अंमलबजावणी अधिकाऱ्यांना अशी कागदपत्रे ३१ डिसेंबर २०२० पर्यंत वैध असल्याचे सांगण्यात आले आहे. केंद्रीय रस्ते वाहतूक आणि महामार्ग मंत्रालयाने शुक्रवारी यासंदर्भात सर्व राज्ये आणि केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांना मार्गदर्शक सूचना जारी केली आहे.
गेल्या वर्षी करोनामुळे लॉकडाउन लागल्यापासून मुदत संपलेल्या कागदपत्रांचे नूतनीकरण करण्यात अडचणी येत असल्याने अनेकदा ही मुदतवाढ देण्यात आली आहे.
केंद्रीय रस्ते वाहतूक आणि महामार्ग मंत्रालयाच्या या निर्णयाने ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्सचे नूतनीकरण, वाहन योग्यता प्रमाणपत्र, पीयूसी यांच्या नूतनीकरणाची चिंता भेडसावणाऱ्या अनेक वाहनधारकांना मोठा दिलासा मिळाला आहे.
Sachin Tendulkar Legendary India cricketer on Saturday took to Twitter to confirm that he has tested positive for Covid-19. Sachin has ‘mild symptoms’ and has decided to quarantine himself at home as advised by the doctors.
“I’ve quarantined myself at home and following all necessary protocols,” Sachin Tendulkar said in a tweet, confirming that he has tested positive for Covid-19.
“I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I’ve tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative,” Tendulkar tweeted.
The former India captain thanked the healthcare professionals for their constant support.
“I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country,” Sachin added.
Sachin Tendulkar was the captain of the India Legends team which recently won the Road Safety World Series in Raipur after beating Sri Lanka Legends in the finals of the tournament.
The tournament was played to spread awareness about road safety measures and featured some of the biggest names of cricket like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, Kevin Pietersen, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tilakaratne Dilshan, Jonty Rhodes to name a few.

यासंदर्भात एका 40 वर्षीय महिलेने फिर्याद दिली आहे. रामदास दत्तोबा थोरात (रा.आयुधिक कार्यशाळा शिवाजीनगर पोलीस मुख्यालय) असे गुन्हा दाखल केलेल्याचे नाव आहे.
पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, फिर्यादीला लग्नाचे आमिष दाखवून थोरात याने महिलेशी शारीरिक संबंध प्रस्थापित केले. त्यानंतर भावनेच्या भरात माझी चूक झाली. या चुकीबददल तुला घर किंवा जागा घेऊन देतो. तसेच दर महिन्याला 10 हजार रूपये आणि निवृत्त झाल्यावर 5 हजार रूपये व निवृत्तीच्या रकमेपैकी 25 टक्के रक्कम देतो. नोटरी करून देऊन पत्नी म्हणून सांभाळ करतो. पण माझ्यावर बलात्काराचा गुन्हा दाखल करू नकोस असे थोरात याने महिलेला सांगितले. मात्र जर गुन्हा दाखल केलास तर तुझ्या कुटुंबाच्या नावाने चिठ्ठी लिहून आत्महत्या करेन, अशी धमकी त्याने महिलेला दिली. या प्रकरणाचा पुढील तपास पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक पोलीस करीत आहेत.

In an interaction with fans on Twitter, Sharma had revealed that he was taking a break for his family. When asked about the show going off-air, he had replied, “Bcoz I need to be there at home with my wife to welcome our second baby (sic).”

ते म्हणाले, चाचण्यांमध्ये सकारात्मक रुग्णांचे वाढते प्रमाण चिंताजनक आहे. अशा स्थितीत लोकांनी बेफिकीर राहून चालणार नाही, रोगप्रतिकार शक्ती वाढली म्हणून किंवा एकदा बाधित झालो म्हणून करोना पुन्हा होणार नाही, असे समजणे चुकीचे आहे. अनेकांना एकाहून अधिक वेळा बाधा झाली आहे. त्यामुळे काळजी घेणे हा त्यावरचा सर्वोत्तम उपाय आहे. आपल्या मागे कुटुंब आहे हे लक्षात घेऊन प्रत्येकाने आवश्यक कामाव्यतिरिक्त बाहेर पडणे टाळले तरच साथ नियंत्रणात येईल.
उपाययोजनांच्या पातळीवर सरकारी यंत्रणा दिवसरात्र काम करीत आहे. चाचण्या, औषध पुरवठा, विलगीकरण केंद्र, लसीकरण, आरोग्य कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या मनुष्यबळाची जुळवाजुळव, ऑक्सिजन पुरवठा, रुग्णवाहिकेची सुविधा, कोविड केअर सेंटर यावर युद्धपातळीवर काम सुरू आहे. मात्र त्यालाही मर्यादा आहेच. करोनाबाधितांसोबतच इतर रुग्णांवरही उपचार होणे आवश्यक आहे. त्यासाठीही नियोजन केले जात आहे. रेमडिसीव्हर, अॅन्टिबॉयटिक व इतर औषधसाठा ग्रामीण भागात उपलब्ध करून दिला जात आहे. अंगणवाडी सेविका, आशा कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या माध्यमातून विलगीकरण केंद्रातील रुग्णांची काळजी घेत आहेत, असे कुंभेजकर म्हणाले. करोनाची पहिली लाट ओसरल्यावर यंत्रणेत ढिलाई आली, हा आरोप त्यांनी फेटाळून लावला. करोनामुळे थांबलेल्या जिल्हा परिषदेच्या इतरही कामांकडे लक्ष देणे आवश्यक होते. मुलांच्या शिक्षणासह इतरही महत्त्वाच्या कामांचा त्यात समावेश होता. स्वच्छ भारत, जल जीवन, बोअरवेलचे फ्लशिंग, जलसंधारणाची कामे सुरू करण्यात आली. जेव्हा संसर्ग वाढला तेव्हा पुन्हा नव्याने साथ नियंत्रणात यंत्रणा जुंपली, असे ते म्हणाले.

ग्रामीण उपकेंद्रात ऑक्सिजनची सोय ग्रामीण भागातील तीन आरोग्य उपकेंद्रात करोना रुग्णांसाठी ऑक्सिजन सिलेंडर उपलब्ध करून दिले जात आहेत. कळमेश्वर, सावनेरसह तीन ठिकाणी कोविड केअर केंद्र सुरू केले आहे. चाचण्यांची संख्याही वाढवण्यात आली आहे.
खाटांची उपलब्धता वाढणार मेडिकल रुग्णालयात ३०० तर हिंगण्यातील शालिनीताई मेघे रुग्णालयात ३५० अशा एकूण ६५० खाटा वाढवण्याचे नियोजन आहे. टप्प्याटप्प्याने त्या रुग्णांसाठी उपलब्ध होतील. मेडिकलमध्ये ऑक्सिजन टँकही उभारण्यात येत आहे. मेयोमध्ये ४० परिचारिकांची नियुक्ती केली आहे. डॉक्टरांची संख्याही वाढवून देण्यात येणार आहे, असे कुंभेजकर म्हणाले.

माझ्या आत्महत्येला सर्वस्वी जबाबदार हे गुगामल वन्यजीव विभागाचे उपवनसंरक्षक विनोद शिवकुमार हेच असतील, त्यांच्यावर कारवाई करा. माझ्यासोबत जे झाले ते इतरांसोबत होऊ नये असे आत्महत्या केलेल्या वनपरिक्षेत्र अधिकारी दीपाली चव्हाण यांनी आत्महत्त्येपूर्वी केलेल्या सुसाईड नोटमध्ये लिहलं आहे. पवनसंराक्षक विनोद शिवकुमार यांनी दिलेल्या त्रासामुळे आत्महत्या करत असल्याचे दिपाली चव्हाण यांनी आत्महत्या करण्यापुर्वी केलेल्या तक्रारी अर्जात म्हंटले आहे. हा तक्रारी अर्ज रेड्डी, अपर प्र.भु.व. संरक्षक क्षेत्र संचालक मेळघाट व्याग्र प्रकल्प अमरावती यांच्या नावे केला आहे. दीपाली चव्हाण यांनी लिहलेल्या चार पानांच्या या पत्रात त्यांनी आपण का आत्महत्या करत आहोत याचा खुलासा केला आहे.

पॅन ‘आधार’ला लिंक आयकर कलम 139 AA (2) मध्ये असे स्पष्ट केले आहे की, १ जुलै २०१७ रोजी पॅनकार्ड असणार्या किंवा आधार घेण्यासाठी पात्र असणार्या प्रत्येक व्यक्तीचे नाव आहे. त्यांना पॅन लिंक करावं लागेल. त्याचबरोबर, ज्यांच्याकडे आधार कार्ड आहे, त्यांनी त्यांचा आधार क्रमांक कर अधिकाऱ्यांना त्यांच्या रिटर्न फाइल व पॅन फॉर्ममध्ये देणे बंधनकारक आहे.

Coronavirus India Live Updates: Continuing to showcase a rising trend in coronavirus infections, India till Friday morning recorded 59,118 new cases taking its tally to 1,18,46,652. As many as 257 fatalities were reported on Thursday, taking the death toll to 1,60,949. Registering an increase for the 16th day in a row, active cases have now risen to more than 4.21 lakh with the new addition. Maharashtra scaled a fresh single-day record with 35,952 cases, which is almost 62 percent of the cases in India. Punjab, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh are now reporting around 2,500 cases each daily. The 257 new fatalities include 111 from Maharashtra, 43 from Punjab, 15 from Chhattisgarh, 12 from Kerala, 11 from Tamil Nadu, and 10 from Karnataka.
India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. Sunrise Hospital CEO Dr Hafeez Rehman said some patients were missing following the incident, and efforts were underway to identify and find them. He also added that the families of the deceased who died of Covid-19 had been informed of their deaths prior to the fire.
Following the incident, 30 patients were shifted to Mulund Jumbo centre, a Covid-19 treatment facility, where four are in serious condition — two patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and two are on oxygen support. The other patients were admitted to different hospitals, while non-Covid patients were shifted to Fortis Hospital.
The fire, which was classified as ‘Level 4’, broke out on the first floor of Dreams Mall, a three-storey building, at around 12.30 am. Sunrise Hospital is located on the third floor. Operations are underway to bring the fire under control.
The hospital said its fire alarms were set off by the smoke, following which all patients were evacuated from the building to a fire refuge area.

In a statement, Sunrise Hospital said the hospital was started in “exceptional circumstances of Covid last year”, and has helped in saving many patients from Covid deaths. “It is functioning with all due compliance like fire licence, nursing home licence etc. The hospital staff did a fantastic job in safely evacuating patients on wheelchairs and beds to the refuge areas and by following the fire drills,” it added.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said. After visiting the incident site, she added that a detailed probe would be carried out to ascertain the cause of the incident.
“This is a very serious situation. First time I have seen a hospital in a mall. The civic body will conduct an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire and action will be taken accordingly,” Pednekar said.

The fire comes in the wake of a surge of Covid-19 cases in the city. Mumbai reported 5,504 cases on Thursday and 14 deaths, taking the total number of positive cases in the city to 3,80,146 and toll to 11,623. Due to the rising cases, BMC has planned to increase the bed capacity in hospitals from the current 13,773 to 21,000 in the next 15 days besides scaling up testing.
Maharashtra reported 35,952 cases on the same day and 111 deaths. The state’s caseload is 26 lakh, and the toll is 53,795.
New Delhi: A man in Delhi who allegedly poisoned his wife and her family using thallium in fish curry, killing his mother-in-law and sister-in-law, has been arrested, the police said today. According to the police, 37-year-old Varun Arora was inspired by Saddam Hussein, who was known to use thallium, a slow poison, to eliminate political opponents.
Varun Arora was arrested on Tuesday from his home in Greater Kailash in south Delhi after an investigation into the murders revealed that the food he had served to his wife and in-laws was poisoned. He allegedly committed the crime as revenge for humiliation by them.
The police started an investigation after an forensic report into the death of Anita Devi Sharma, Arora’s mother-in-law, revealed traces of Thallium. It soon emerged that his wife was also admitted to hospital with traces of the toxin in her blood.
“During further enquiry, it was also revealed that the younger daughter of deceased Anita namely Ms. Priyanka R/o Inder Puri also expired during treatment at BL Kapoor Hospital on 15.02.2021. During enquiry, it came to the notice of Investigation agencies that she also had symptoms of thallium poisoning — hair Loss and burning feet syndrome. Also, Devender Mohan Sharma (father-in-law) was found to have symptoms of thallium poisoning. Further inquiry revealed that the maid at their house had also been treated for similar symptoms,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Urvija Goel said in a statement.
Convinced that the events pointed towards targeted poisoning, the police sent a forensic team to the family’s home and found thallium.
During investigation, the police team found that Arora had visited the family in the end of January and had brought them fish curry.
After sustained interrogation, he admitted to the crime, the police said.
“Varun Arora admitted to have procured thallium and also to have administered it to Anita (mother in law), Divya (wife), Devender Mohan (father in law) and Priyanka (sister in law) to take revenge from them as he claimed he had long been subjected to humiliation by them. Further, at the instance of accused Varun Arora, Thallium was found at his home,” the statement added.
The mobile phone of Arora also had information on procuring Thallium, they said.
