मध्यप्रदेश:कोरोना व्हायरसच्या दुसऱ्या लाटेने देशात थैमान घातलं आहे. हॉस्पिटलपासून ते स्मशानभूमीपर्यंत मृतांची लाइन लागली आहे. अशात काही लोक बेजबाबदारपणाने वागत आहेत. मध्य प्रदेशच्या निवाडीमधून अशीच एक घटना समोर आली आहे. इथे एका व्यक्तीच्या गमतीची शिक्षा पूर्ण गावाला भोगावी लागत आहे.
निवाडी जिल्ह्यातील लुहरगुवा गावातील एक व्यक्ती कोरोना पॉझिटिव्ह आल्यावर स्वत:ला आठ दिवस लवपत राहिला. इतकंच नाही तर गावात झालेल्या एका लग्नात गेला आणि गावातही फिरत राहिला. आता या व्यक्तीमुळे गावातील ३० पेक्षा जास्त लोकांना कोरोनाची लागण झाली आहे. यातील अनेकांची स्थिती गंभीर आहे.
जशी या घटनेची माहिती मिळाली जिल्हा प्रशासनाने गाव सील केलं. आता गावात जाण्यास आणि बाहेर येण्यास मनाई आहे. पोलिसांनी गावाच्या प्रवेशद्वारावर कठडे लावले आहेत. अशातच आता डॉक्टरांची एक टीम गावातील घराघरात जाऊन लोकांच्या टेस्ट करत आहे. पोलिसांनी संक्रमण पसरवणाऱ्या व्यक्तीसहीत गुपचूप लग्न करणाऱ्या तीन लोकांवर गुन्हा दाखल केला आहे.
गावातील एका २४ वर्षीय तरूणाचा कोरोना रिपोर्ट पॉझिटिव्ह आला होता. यानंतर तो ना क्वारंटाइन झाला ना त्याने याची कुणाला माहिती दिली. तो कोरोना रिपोर्ट पॉझिटिव्ह आल्यावरही गावात बिनधास्त फिरत राहिला. इतकंच नाही तर गावातील लग्नातही गेला आणि नवरी-नवरदेवासोबत त्याने फोटो काढले. तसेच लग्नातील पंगतीत जेवणही वाढत राहिला.
दुसऱ्या दिवशी तो वरातीत सहभागी झाला. इतकंच नाही तर जोरात त्याने डान्सही केला. लग्नातून परतल्यावर तो गावात फिरत राहिला. त्यामुळे अनेकांना कोरोनाची लागण झाली. बुधवारी ६० लोकांच्या टेस्ट केल्या त्यातील ३० जण पॉझिटिव्ह आले.
अभिनेत्री जॅकलीन फर्नांडीसने समाजाच्या तळागाळात पोहोचून काम करण्यासाठी नुकतीच एका फाउंडेशनची सुरुवात केली. जॅकलीनची ‘यू ओनली लिव वन्स’ (YOLO) ही फाउंडेशन अनेक स्वयंसेवी संस्थांसोबत मिळून काम करणार आहे.
‘रोटी बँक फाउंडेशन’सोबत मिळून एकत्रपणे काम करता यावे या उद्देशाने नुकतीच तिने ‘रोटी बँक फाउंडेशन’च्या स्वयंपाकघराला भेट दिली. रोटी बँक टीम आणि आपली YOLO टीमसोबत जॅकलीनने त्या ठिकाणी जेवण बनवण्याच्या प्रक्रियेत सहयोग दिला आणि त्या माध्यमातून गरजूंना अन्न वाटप देखील केले.
आपल्या संस्थेच्या माध्यमातून समाजोपयोगी कार्य सुरु ठेवत जॅकलीन मुंबई पुलिस दलासाठी मास्क आणि सॅनिटायझरचे वाटप करणार असून या कठीण काळात भटक्या जनावरांच्या सहाय्यासाठी पुढाकार घेणार आहे.
खाद्यपदार्थांमध्ये मिठाचा जास्त वापर हृदय रोग (Heart Disease) आणि स्ट्रोकचं कारण बनू शकतो. यामुळे लोकांना हृदयरोग आणि स्ट्रोकच्या समस्या अधिक प्रमाणात होत आहे. वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गनायझेशनने (WHO) बुधवारी खाण्यातील सोडिअम कमी करण्याचे निर्देश दिले आहेत.
एका रिपोर्टनुसार, जगभरात अंदाजे ११ मिलियन मृत्यू दरवर्षी खराब आहार म्हणजे खराब डाएटमुळे होतात. यातील ३ मिलियन म्हणजे ३० लाख अशा केसेस आहेत जे त्यांच्या डाएटमध्ये सोडिअम जास्त प्रमाणात सेवन करत होते.
WHO ने सांगितले की, अनेक श्रीमंत देशात आणि कमी उत्पन्न असलेल्या देशांमध्ये लोक निर्मिती खाद्य साहित्य म्हणजे मॅन्यूफॅक्चर्ड फूडचा वापर करतात. जसे की, ब्रेड, सेरिअल, प्रोसेस्ड मांस आणि चीजसारखे डेअरी प्रॉडक्ट्स. यात जास्त प्रमाणात सोडिअमचा वापर केला जातो.
काय म्हणाली WHO?
सोडिअम क्लोराइड हे मिठाचं रासयनिक नाव आहे आणि सोडिअम एक खनिज आहे. जे शरीरातील पाण्याचं प्रमाण नियंत्रित करतं. सोडिअमचंच्या सेवनाबाबत WHO चे डायरेक्टर जनलर टेड्रोस एडनॉम घेब्येयियस म्हणाले की, ‘मिठाचं सेवन कमी करण्यासाठी आणि लोकांना चांगला आहाराचे पर्याय उपलब्ध करून देण्यासाठी आराखडा तयार गेला पाहिजे’.
ते पुढे म्हणाले की, ‘खाद्य आणि पेय उद्योगाला प्रोसेस्ड फूडमध्ये सोडिअमचं प्रमाण कमी करावं लागेल. खाण्या-पिण्याच्या ६४ पदार्थांबाबत WHO ने एक नवा बेंचमार्क तयार केला आहे. याच्या माध्यमातून १९४ सदस्य देशातील अधिकाऱ्यांना जागरूक केलं जाईल. जेणेकरून ते खाद्य-पेय पदार्थ तयार करणाऱ्या कंपन्यांना मॉनिटर करू शकतील.
किती खावं मीठ?
उदाहरण द्यायचं तर प्रति १०० ग्रॅम बटाट्याच्या चिप्समध्ये ५०० मिलि ग्रॅम सोडिअम असावं. बेंचमार्कनुसार, पाईज आणि पेस्ट्रीजमध्ये १२० मिली ग्रॅम आणि मीटमध्ये ३६० मिली ग्रॅम सोडिअम असावं. WHO ने सांगितले की, ‘खाण्यात प्रमाणापेक्षा जास्त सोडिअम घेतल्याने ब्लड प्रेशर वाढतं. याने हृदयरोगाचा धोकाही वाढतो.
कोणते आजार होतात?
WHO ने सांगितले की, जगभरात सर्वात जास्त मृत्यू हे हृदयरोगांमुळे होतात. जगात यामुळे ३२ टक्के मृत्यू याच कारणाने होतात. जास्त सोडिअमचं सेवन केल्याने लठ्ठपणा, किडनीशी संबंधित आजार आणि गॅस्ट्रिक कॅन्सरसारखे जीवघेणे आजार होतात. WHO ने सांगितले की, लोकांनी दररोज ५ ग्रॅमपेक्षा कमी सोडिअमचं सेवन करावं.
सुप्रीम कोर्टात ऑक्सिजनच्या तुटवड्यावर गुरुवारी पुन्हा सुनावणी झाली. यावेळी सुप्रीम कोर्टाने करोनाच्या तिसऱ्या लाटेवरून चिंता व्यक्त केली. करोनाची तिसरी लाट अटळ असल्याचं शास्त्रज्ञांनी म्हटलं आहे. यात लहान मुलांनाही संसर्गाची भीती व्यक्त करण्यात आली आहे. अशा परिस्थितीत आई-वडील काय करतील? केंद्र सरकारने काय नियोजन केले आहे? असा प्रश्न सुप्रीम कोर्टाने केला. तसंच लसीकरण मोहीमेत लहान मुलांचाही विचार केला पाहिजे, असं कोर्टाने म्हटलं.
करोनाची तिसरी लाट येणार आहे. अशा परिस्थिती दिल्लीत ऑक्सिजनचा तुटवडा होऊ नये. सरकारने देशभरात ऑक्सिजनच्या पुरवठ्यावर लक्ष दिले पाहिजे. ऑक्सिजनचे ऑडिट करून त्याच्या वितरणाबाबत पुन्हा एकदा विचार केला पाहिजे, असं सुप्रीम कोर्टाने केंद्राला सांगितलं.
करोनाच्या तिसऱ्या लाटेत लहान मुलांनाही संसर्गाचा धोका आहे. शास्त्रज्ञांनी यासंदर्भात इशारा दिला आहे. यामुळे लसीकरण मोहीमेत मुलांचाही विचार करावा, असं न्यायमूर्ती चंद्रचूड म्हणाले. घरीच उपचार घेणाऱ्या नागरिकांना ऑक्सिजनची गरज आहे. ऑक्सिजनची आवश्यकता किती याचे आकलन रण्याची पद्धत चुकीची आहे. कारण आपल्याला संपूर्ण देशाचा विचार करायचा आहे. आपण आतापासूनच तयारी केली तर तिसऱ्या लाटेचा सामना ताकदीने करू शकू, असं न्यायमूर्ती चंद्रचूड म्हणाले.
इलेक्ट्रॉनिक आयसीयूचाही विचार केला पाहिजे. देशात १ लाख डॉक्टर आणि २.५ लाख नर्स असेच बसून आहेत. पण हे सर्व जण करोनाच्या तिसऱ्या लाटेत मोठी भूमिका बजावू शकतात. एक लाख डॉक्टर्स NEET परीक्षेच्या प्रतीक्षेत आहेत. सरकारकडे यासंदर्भात काय नियोजन आहे? असा सवाल कोर्टाने केला.

OCHRI commences nasal endoscopy & MRI Sinuses services for post-Covid patients
Nowadays many post covid patients are being admitted to the OCHRI ENT Department with
complaints of facial swelling, purulent discharge from the nose, double vision/ sudden loss of vision/ diminished vision, blackening of the skin near nose & eyes with rapid deterioration of the general condition. These are some symptoms of rhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis. As the name suggests rhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis spread rapidly from the nose to the eye and the brain. Once it spreads to the brain it is considered very critical.
Dr. Nandu Kolwadkar- OCHRI ENT Surgeon informed that “Covid 19 is caused by SARS-CoV-2 and is seen to affect people with low immunity. It also causes severe inflammatory changes and makes the body more prone to other diseases. An elderly person having conditions like diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, renal issues, etc. Is more prone to opportunistic fatal fungal infections like mucormycosis.
Dr. Samir Choudhary- OCHRI Endoscopic ENT Surgeon added that Mucormycosis is emerging as a significant challenge in the second wave of Covid 19 infections. This is a rare but serious fungal infection, and usually poses no serious threat to those with a healthy immune system. However, we are now noticing a rise in mucormycosis amongst people having High blood sugar and low immune function. Most vulnerable patients to mucormycosis are those who have been treated with steroids and other drugs for COVID-19 essentially required to reduce inflammation, he added.
All these patients require regular debridement, major surgery, and management with antifungal drugs and other allied medical treatment as per protocol. Mostly they do recover well if picked on time. However timely diagnosis helps in saving the eyes and spread to the brain.
The most commonly affected areas by mucor include the nose, sinuses, eyes, and brain. Patients discharged after COVID-19 are being asked to seek immediate medical attention if they notice any symptoms such as facial swelling, dental pain, numbness, eye swelling, bloody or black-brown discharge from the nose. Nagpur: In view of the spread of coronavirus infection among eight Asiatic lions in Hyderabad zoo, the managements of Maharajbag Zoo and Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoo of Nagpur swung into action to prevent the virus among wild animals in the city. As per the guidelines of Central Zoo Authority (CZA), both zoo managements have started taking steps. “We are going to conduct RT-PCR test of all our 23 employees who are working closely with the animals in the zoo. The procedure will be carried out within a few days,” said Dr Sunil Bawaskar, Office In-charge, Maharajbag zoo. Maharajbag zoo is already closed for visitors till the lockdown is imposed.
Only the animal keepers and other employees are allowed inside the zoo for maintenance of the premises and the animals. “CZA has advised us to re-visit the guidelines which was issued earlier and we are following it properly from the beginning,” said Bawaskar. The guidelines advised managements to train their staff in the safe handling and wearing of protective gears while working with animals inside the zoo. It also stated that two-meter social distancing must be maintained by all the staffers, and close contacts with all the above-mentioned animals must be avoided. Similarly, Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoo management is also taking steps as per the issued guidelines. “We stopped the tourist activities in the zoo on the very first day when the district administration imposed lockdown in city. No outsiders are allowed inside the zoo till then,” Pramod Panchbhai, Divisional Manager of the zoo. “We have not yet planned to conduct RT-PCR test of our staff as per the issued guidelines but we are taking measures to avoid COVID-19 infection among our staff.
The animal keepers are wearing face masks, hand gloves, PPE kits while handling animals inside the zoo. No one will allow without full protection inside the animal enclosures,” said Panchbhai. He said, “Performing swab test of animals inside the zoo is a time consuming task and also hectic for the animals. We will take the decision after discussion with our veterinarians in this regard. We are likely to conduct swab test only if we observe any symptoms among animals.” CZA has also advised all zoo managements to take appropriate step to prevent the spread of coronavirus among animals and also take proper decision by their own in this regard.
The Central Control Room (CCR) set up by Municipal Commissioner and District Collector has created a central pool of hospital beds to the extent of 80% beds of each of the dedicated COVID hospitals and will not cover remaining 20% beds, clarified High Court while asking the authorities to issue a corrigendum. After CCR was set up, it was perceived that no bed can be allotted by any of the private hospitals on its own. Removing this misconception, a division bench consisting of Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Avinash Gharote made it clear that no bed in any hospital including private hospital, was requisitioned, but CCR would act as a helpline to admit COVID-19 patients in 80% of the beds in different hospitals and distribution of drugs and COVID-19 essentials.
The High Court also noted that CCR order did not clarify the issue of payment of charges of the hospitals as per approved rates for treatment of COVID-19 patients. Bhanudas Kulkarni, Indian Medical Association (IMA) Counsel, pointed out another lacuna in the order warning criminal action against refusal to admit critical patients, There could be cases where the patients are critical and are recommended admission and treatment in a particular hospital, which does not have necessary means and infrastructural facilities such as vacant oxygenated beds or ventilators. The High Court noted that such criminal prosecution was not contemplated by May 4 order.
“It’s not the intention that it is compulsory for every Dedicated COVID Hospital (DCH) to admit a critical or very critical COVID patient even when it does not have an oxygenated or ventilated bed,” the High Court clarified while asking authorities to issue a comprehensive corrigendum. A particular DCH would admit the patient on the recommendations of CCR but if any DCH did not have the means and infrastructural facilities for admitting a particular patient, such DCH should immediately inform the CCR and request it to divert the patient to some different hospital, and CCR would make an endeavor to recommend bed in appropriate DCH for such patient, the High Court suggested. About criminal prosecution, the High Court, as a safeguard, constituted a three-member independent Grievance Committee headed by former High Court Judge M N Gilani and consisting of ex-High Court judge M G Giratkar, and Civil Surgeon Dr Paturkar. Sub-Divisional Officer (Nagpur) Shekhar Ghadge will be Member Secretary of the committee. Such power, needless to say, must be used sparingly and only when it is extremely necessary; else, there is a possibility of it proving counter productive, the High Court warned.
The High Court directed that no criminal action shall be taken without first seeking approval of the Grievance Committee and complaints regarding payment/non-payment of the charges of any hospital, shall be referred to the Grievance Committee first. Only after these complaints are examined by the committee, and if necessary, after asking the hospital concerned to place before it all the details of the treatment given, take its decision. About contingency of patients admitted through CCR not paying the bills of DCH as per approved rates, the High Court stated that expense incurred by the DCH on account of treatment given to such patient, when unpaid, would have to be reimbursed by the State or Nagpur Municipal Corporation from out of COVID-19 funds to that hospital. Later, the sum can be recovered by the State, from the patient, if that is permissible under the policy.
AHMEDABAD: COCKING a snook at COVID-19 norms, a large number of women turned up at a religious event organised in a village in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad district to “eradicate coronavirus”, police said on Wednesday, adding 23 people, including the village head, have been arrested. A video of the incident, which occurred in Navapura village in Sanand taluka on May 3, showed around 500 women carrying water pots on their heads while walking towards a temple. The video grab also shows some men taking these pots to the top of the temple and emptying them.
After the video clip went viral on Wednesday, Ahmedabad rural police said appropriate action had already been taken. A police officer said villagers believed that coronavirus will just go away if water is poured on the Baliyadev temple. “The incident took place on May 3 at Navapura village where women had gathered in large numbers carrying water pots. A police team rushed to the spot on the same day and arrested 23 villagers, including sarpanch Gafabhai Thakor, for organising this event.
Police had also seized the music system from the spot,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sanand Division, KT Kamariya. He said all the accused have been booked for violating a police notification regarding public gatherings under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act.
राज्यात आरोग्य विभागात 16 हजार पदांची तातडीने भरती केली जाणार असल्याची माहिती राज्याचे आरोग्यमंत्री राजेश टोपे यांनी दिलीय. अ आणि ब वर्गातील प्रत्येकी दोन हजार, अशी एकूण चार हजार पदे भरली जाणार असून क आणि ड वर्गातील 12 हजार कर्मचार्यांची भरती करण्यात येणार आहे. ही भरती प्रक्रिया सुरू करण्यासाठी तातडीने आदेश जारी करणार असल्याचंही त्यांनी सांगितलंय.
संपूर्ण राज्यात कोरोनाचे संकट आहे, रुग्णांची संख्याही वाढत आहे. त्या पार्श्वभूमीवर राज्यात ही भरतीची प्रक्रिया सुरू होणार आहे. साधारणपणे भरतीच्या प्रक्रियेचा निर्णय हा कॅबिनेटमध्ये होत असतो. पण यावेळी भरतीचे सर्व अधिकार हे मुख्यमंत्र्यांना देण्यात आले आहेत. त्यामुळे मुख्यमंत्र्यांकडून हे भरतीचे लवकरच आदेश निघतील अशी माहिती आहे.
या आधी राज्याची आर्थिक परिस्थिती पाहता 50 टक्के भरती करण्याच्या निर्णयाला मंजुरी देण्यात आली होती. पण राज्यातील वाढते कोरोनाचे रुग्ण लक्षात घेता आरोग्य विभागाने ही संपूर्ण भरती प्रक्रिया लवकरात लवकर राबावावी अशी मागणी केली होती. येत्या काळात कोरोनाची तिसरी लाट येण्याची शक्यता आहे. त्यावेळी राज्यातील आरोग्य यंत्रणेवर ताण येण्याची शक्यता आहे. ती शक्यता लक्षात घेऊन राज्यातील भरती प्रक्रिया लवकरात लवकर राबवावी, त्यामुळे क आणि ड वर्गातील कर्मचारी वाढतील अशी आरोग्य विभागाने मागणी केली होती.
ही सर्व परिस्थिती लक्षात घेता राज्यातील आरोग्य विभागातील अ आणि ब वर्गातील प्रत्येकी दोन हजार, अशी एकूण चार हजार पदे भरली जाणार असून क आणि ड वर्गातील 12 हजार कर्मचार्यांची भरती करण्यात येणार आहे.
When Shardul Kadam said that he would wear a mangalsutra on his wedding day, his decision to turn an old ritual on its head raised many eyebrows. The mangalsutra is a sacred thread which is traditionally tied by the groom around the bride’s neck on their wedding day. “After the pheras when Tanuja and I tied the mangalsutra around each other’s neck, I was so happy,” recalls Shardul, about why he chose to wear a mangalsutra and how that one decision made the couple a target of Internet trolls.
Shardul and Tanuja met in college, although their love story began four years after they graduated. “We reconnected in the most unexpected way. She’d shared a Himesh Reshammiya song on Instagram and captioned it as ‘torture’-I replied back saying ‘maha torture’…that’s how we started talking,” says Shardul.
When they met for tea after a few weeks and started talking about feminism, Shardul declared himself to be a “hardcore feminist”.
“She looked at me as if she hadn’t expected me to say that!” he says.
Shardul and Tanuja dated for a year before they informed their parents, who were thrilled. In September 2020, as the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic subsided, they started planning their wedding.
“That’s when I told Tanuja, ‘Why is it that only a girl has to wear a mangalsutra? It makes no sense!’ We were both equals, so I announced, ‘Even I’ll wear a mangalsutra on our wedding day!'” Shardul tells Humans of Bombay.
His parents were surprised and relatives questioned his decision, but Shardul refused to budge, saying that wearing a mangalsutra to him represented equality.
“For some reason, the girl’s family is ‘supposed’ to bear the cost of the wedding, but I went to Tanuja’s parents and told them that we’d split all costs,” he said further.
The day before their wedding, Tanuja asked him if he would wear the mangalsutra after the wedding as well – and Shardul said he would. Their wedding went off smoothly. “Even though a few male relatives weren’t happy about it, they didn’t say anything to us,” says Shardul, referring to the exchange of mangalsutras.
However, the next day, the newlyweds woke up to “terrible backlash” on social media. “A newspaper had picked up our story,” says Shardul.
“People started commenting- ‘Now wear a saree also’, ‘Do you bleed once a month?’ Even liberals started trolling me, ‘This is not the way to support gender equality,’ they said.”
Shardul says he expected some trolling to come his way, but the extent of it surprised him. “At first, Tanuja was affected by it, but it’s been 4 months now and we’re just done with the trolls,” he says.
“Because Tanuja and I can define our relationship better than anyone else; we support each other’s work, believe in each other’s dreams, and are in this journey together. So, who cares what the world thinks?” Shardul concludes.
Shardul and Tanuja’s story has struck a chord with the Internet, racking up more than 82,000 ‘likes’ on Instagram and thousands more on Facebook.
“Proud of your decision and God bless you both with lots of strength and happiness,” wrote one Facebook user.
“I respect groom’s feelings. I don’t think he has done anything wrong. He has worn mangalsutra as a symbol of equality and portrayed his thinking,” said another.
In 2019, another wedding with a difference had gone viral on social media. At that wedding, the bride’s father refused to do kanyadaan or give away the bride, saying that his daughter is “not property to give away”.

For the 18 year plus category, the three new centres that would open are Late Prabhakarrao Datke Mahal Diagnosis Centre, Chapru Sarvodaya Mandal Hall, Chapru Nagar, Central Avenue, and Manewada UPHC.
About 96 centres are opened by NMC in all parts of the city for providing vaccines to counter COVID-19. Dr Ambedkar Hospital, Indora, has two booths offering Covaxin and Covishield. The other Covaxin centres are two at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), two at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) and four at AIIMS.
A part from that, Covishield vaccination will be done at Panchpaoli Maternity Hospital, Indira Gandhi Hospital, Gandhinagar, and Isolation Hospital, Imamwada, for 18-years plus category. On-line registration for vaccination is mandatory for persons between the ages of 18 to 44 year
मुंबई : ख्यातनाम गायक Arijit Singh च्या आईची तब्येत बिघडली असून त्यांना हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल करण्यात आले आहे. अरिजीतच्या आईला रक्ताची आवश्यकता असल्याची माहिती अभिनेत्री स्वस्तिका मुखर्जीने ट्विटरवरून दिली.
अभिनेत्री स्वस्तिका मुखर्जीने गुरुवारी सकाळी १० वाजता ट्वीट केले. त्या ट्वीटमध्ये स्वस्तिकाने लिहिले की, ‘गायक Arijit Singh च्या आईची तब्येत बिघडल्याने त्यांना हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल करण्यात आले आहे. त्यांना कोलकाता येथील ढाकुरिया हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल करण्यात आले असून त्यांना ए निगेटिव्ह रक्ताची गरज आहे. तसेच हे रक्त पुरुषाचेच हवे आहे.’

Nagpur: Sensation prevailed Gulshan Nagar vicinity, after a man reportedly killed his neighbour here under Kalamna Police Station on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Niranjan alias Golu Abru Verma (30), a resident of Gulshan Nagar, cops have booked accused Golu alias Pramod Samaliya Rai Sahu (29) on the charges of murder.
According to police sources, Sahu reportedly took Verma to his home on the pretext of having some conversation on Wednesday evening. During the same an argument broke out between the duo. In the fir of rage, Sahu then attacked Verma with sharp edged weapons and killed him on the spot.
देशात गेल्या २४ तासांत नोंद झालेल्या आकडेवारीनं आजवरचे करोना संक्रमणाचे सगळे रेकॉर्ड तोडलेत. गुरुवारी सकाळी आरोग्य मंत्रालयानं दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, देशात बुधवारी (५ मे २०२१) एकूण ४ लाख १२ हजार २६२ करोनाबाधित रुग्ण आढळले आहेत तर याच २४ तासांत ३९८० जणांना आपले प्राण गमवावे लागले आहेत. याच दिवशी तब्बल ३ लाख २९ हजार ११३ रुग्णांना रुग्णालयातून डिस्चार्ज देण्यात आला.
याचसोबत, देशातील एकूण करोनाबाधित रुग्णांची संख्या २ कोटी १० लाख ७७ हजार ४१० वर पोहचलीय. तर आतापर्यंत देशात एकूण २ लाख ३० हजार १६८ नागरिकांनी करोनामुळे आपले प्राण गमावले आहेत. मात्र, देशात आत्तापर्यंत १ कोटी ७२ लाख ८० हजार ८४४ रुग्ण करोनावर मात करण्यात यशस्वी ठरलेत. देशात सध्या ३५ लाख ६६ हजार ३९८ रुग्णांवर उपचार सुरू आहेत.

राज्यात गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून अवकाळी पावसाने हजेरी लावल्यामुळे ऐन कोरोनाच्या संकटात शेतकऱ्यांची चिंता आणखी वाढली आहे. गेल्या दोन दिवसांपासून तर राज्यातील अनेक जिल्ह्यांमध्ये मुसळधार पावसाने हजेरी लावली. त्यामुळे मुंबई, ठाण्यासारख्या शहरांमध्ये उन्हाचा तडाखा आणखी वाढला आहे. अशात आता आणखी आठवडाभर राज्यावर अवकाळी पावसाचं संकट राहणार आहे. पुढच्या ४-५ दिवसांत उष्णतादेखील वाढेल असा अंदाज भारतीय हवामान खात्याकडून देण्यात आला आहे.
हवामान खात्याने दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, विदर्भ आणि केरळदरम्यान कमी दाबाचे क्षेत्र निर्माण झाल्यामुळे मध्य महाराष्ट्र, मराठवाडा आणि विदर्भात पावसाचं वातावरण तयार होत आहे. यात उष्णताही वाढत असल्याचं सांगण्यात येत आहे. यामुळे आजपासून अनेक जिल्ह्यांमध्ये ढगाळ वातावरण असून काही ठिकाणी हलक्या पावसाच्या सरींना सुरुवात झाली आहे.
आज राज्यातील अनेक जिल्ह्यांमध्ये हलक्या ते मध्यम स्वरुपाचा पाऊस, विजांचा कडकडाट आणि गाराही पडण्य़ाची शक्यता हवामान खात्याकडून वर्तवण्यात आली आहे. दरम्यान, ९ मेपर्यंत राज्यभर असंच वातावरण असणार आहे. सगळ्याच जिल्ह्यांमध्ये पाऊस होईल असं हवामान खात्याकडून सांगण्यात आलं आहे.
आठवडाभर कसं असेल हवामान?
उत्तर कोकण, दक्षिण कोकण आणि गोवा– या भागामध्ये आजपासून ९ मेपर्यंत तुरळक ठिकाणी पावसाची शक्यता वर्तवण्यात आली आहे.
उत्तर मध्य महाराष्ट्र – उत्तर मध्य महाराष्ट्रात आज काही ठिकाणी तर उद्यापासून ९ मेपर्यंत सर्वच ठिकाणी पावसाची शक्यता वर्तवण्यात आली आहे.
दक्षिण मध्य महाराष्ट्र – आज अनेक ठिकाणी ढगाळ वातावरण असून उद्या मात्र सर्वच ठिकाणी पावसाचा अंदाज आहे. तर ८ आणि ९ तारखेला काही ठिकाणी पावसाची शक्यता वर्तवण्यात आली आहे.
मराठवाडा – मराठवाड्यामध्येही संपूर्ण आठवडाभर हलक्या ते मध्यम स्वरुपाच्या पावसाचा अंदाज वर्तवण्यात आला आहे.
पूर्व विदर्भ – पूर्व विदर्भात आजपासून ९ मेपर्यंत पावसाचं वातावरण असणार आहे. अनेक ठिकाणी विजांच्या गडगडाटांसह गारांची शक्यता असणार आहे.
पश्चिम विदर्भ – पश्चिम विदर्भातही संपूर्ण आठवडाभर पावसाचं वातावरण असणार आहे.
दरम्यान, मे महिन्यात उन्हाचा तडाखा, ढगाळ वातावरण आणि अवकाळी पाऊस असंच हवामान असणार आहे. यामुळे शेतकऱ्यांनी आपल्या शेतमालाची काळजी घ्यावी, तर नागरिकांनीही हवामानाचा अंदाज घेत घराबाहेर पडावं अशा सूचना हवामान खात्याकडून देण्यात आल्या आहेत.
हवामान खात्याने दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, आणखी आठवडाभर राज्यावर अवकाळी पावसाचं संकट असणार आहे. सातारा, सांगली, कोल्हापूर, सिंधुदुर्ग, रत्नागिरी, रायगड, लातूर आणि उस्मानाबादच्या काही भागात वादळी वाऱ्यासह जोरदार पावसाला सुरूवात झाली असून काही ठिकाणी मध्यम स्वरुपाचा पाऊस आणि विजांचा गडगडाट होईल अशी माहिती हवामान खात्याकडून देण्यात आली आहे.
बॉलिवूडचे दिग्गज अभिनेते दिलिप ताहिल यांचा मुलगा ध्रुव ताहिल याला मुंबई पोलिसांनी अटक केलीय. अँन्टी नार्कोटिक्स सेल म्हणजे एएनसीने ही कारवाई केलीय. ड्रग्स संबंधित एका प्रकरणात चौकशी दरम्यान ध्रुवचं नाव समोर आलंय. मुंबई एनसीबीने याची माहिती दिलीय. गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून नार्कोटिक्स कंट्रोल ब्यूरो बॉलिवूडमधील ड्रग्स रॅकेटवर डोळा ठेवून आहे. यात अनेक सेलिब्रिटींची चौकशीदेखील करण्यात आलीय.
अँटी नार्कोटिक्स सेलचे आयुक्त दत्ता नलावडे यांच्या नेतृत्वात ही कारवाई करण्यात आली असून ध्रुव ताहिल याच्यावर ड्रग्सची खरेदी विक्री करण्याचे आरोप आहेत. चौकशी दरम्यान या आधी अटक करण्यात आलेला आरोपी मुजम्मिल अब्दुल रहमान शेख याच्याकडू 35 ग्रॅम मेफड्रोन जप्त करण्यात आलं होतं. एनडीपीएसच्या नियमानुसार या आरोपीवर गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला असून त्याचा फोनही ताब्यात घेण्यात आला होता. यात ध्रुवने आरोपी मुजम्मिल अब्दुल रहमान शेख यांच्याशई ड्रग्स संबंधित चॅट केल्याचं समोर आलं आहे. एएनआय वृत्तानुसार बुधवारी मुंबई क्राईम ब्रान्चच्या अँटी नार्कोटिक्स सेलने ध्रुवला अटक केली.
ध्रुव ताहिल 2019 पासून मार्च 2021 पर्यंत आरोपी मुजम्मिल अब्दुल रहमान शेखच्या संपर्कात असल्याचं समोर आलंय. ध्रुवच्या व्हाटस्अॅप चॅटवरून त्याने आरोपीशी ड्रग्स घेण्यासाठी संपर्क केल्याचं कळतंय. तसचं ध्रुववर शेखच्या खात्यात सहा वेळा पैसै ट्रान्सफर केल्याचाही आरोप आहे.
अँटी नार्कोटिक्स सेलचे आयुक्त दत्ता नलावडे यांच्या नेतृत्वात एएनसीची टीम पुढील तपास करत आहे.

देशात सध्या करोनाचा कहर कायम आहे. विद्यार्थ्यांनी बनवलेले सॉफ्टवेयर जबरदस्त आहे. या सॉफ्टवेयरच्या माध्यमातून करोना आहे की नाही, हे अवघ्या दोन मिनिटात समजते. या सॉफ्टवेयरच्या मदतीने रुग्णांच्या छातीचा एक्सरे काढला जातो. त्यानंतर सिटी स्कॅन काढला जातो. हे दोन्ही रिपोर्ट पाहून अवघ्या काही सेकंदात माहिती होते की, व्यक्ती करोना पॉझिटिव्ह आहे की निगेटिव्ह. या सॉफ्टवेयरच्या माध्यमातून केवळ करोना नव्हे तर टीबी, व्हायरल आणि बॅक्टेरियल निमोनिया सह सामान्य रुग्णांचा एक्सरे प्लेट वरून सेकंदात माहिती केली जाते.
लवकरच मिळणार मान्यता
या अविष्कारला मान्यता देण्यासाठी प्रक्रिया सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. ICMR ने यासाठी सल्लागार समितीची स्थापना केली आहे. पटणा एम्स मध्ये या सॉफ्टवेयरची टेस्टिंग सुरू करण्यात आली आहे. एम्स मध्ये पुढील २ ते ३ दिवसांत अनेक कोविड रुग्णांचा एक्सरे आणि सिटी स्कॅन इमेजची तपासमी कोविड डिटेक्टिंग सॉफ्टवेयर द्वारे केली जात आहे. यानंतर रुग्णांच्या आलेल्या निगेटिव्ह किंवा पॉझिटीव्ह रिपोर्टचा सल्लागार समिती स्टडी करणार आहे. यानंतर या रिपोर्टला ICMR ला पाठवले जाणार आहे. पुढील आठवड्यापर्यंत याच्या मान्यतेसंबंधी निर्णय घेतला जाण्याची शक्यता आहे.
कोरोनाचे संकट दिवसेंदिवस गडद होत चालल्याच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर जागतिक स्तरावरील पतमापन संस्था एस.अँड.पी ने (स्टँडर्डस अँड पूवर्स) चालू आर्थिक वर्षात जीडीपी दर (सकल राष्ट्रीय उत्पादन) दहा टक्क्यांच्याही खाली येण्याचा अंदाज वर्तवला आहे. याआधी एस.अँड.पी ने ११ टक्के जीडीपी दराचे भाकीत वर्तवले होते. मात्र आता विकासदर ९.८ टक्क्यांपर्यंत खाली येईल, असे म्हटले आहे.
मार्च महिन्याच्या सुरुवातीपासून देशातील कोरोनाचे संकट वाढण्यास सुरुवात झाली होती. गेल्या दोन महिन्यांत कोरोनाने अक्षरशः धुमाकूळ घातला असून महाराष्ट्रासह विविध राज्यात लागू करण्यात आलेल्या लॉकडाऊनमुळे अर्थव्यवस्था ठप्प झाली आहे. लॉकडाऊनचा सर्वात मोठा फटका कृषी, सेवा आणि निर्मिती क्षेत्राला बसला आहे. तर लॉकडाऊनमुळे देशाच्या मोठ्या भागात जनजीवन ठप्प पडले. पहिल्या लाटेपेक्षा दुसरी लाट भयावह ठरली आहे.
कोरोनाचे संकट लवकर आटोक्यात आले नाही तर त्याचा अर्थव्यवस्थेवर प्रतिकूल परिणाम होऊ शकतो, अशी भीती व्यक्त करतानाच, एस.अँड.पी ने चालू आर्थिक वर्षात जीडीपी दर हा ११ टक्क्यांऐवजी ९.८ टक्के इतका नोंदवला जाऊ शकतो, असे नमूद केले आहे. भारताचा पतमापन दर्जा ट्रिपल बी निगेटिव्ह असल्याचे सांगतानाच परिस्थिती आणखी खालावली तर दर्जाची पुन्हा समीक्षा करावी लागू शकते, असेही अहवालात म्हटले आहे. कोरोना संकटामुळे देशाची वित्तीय तूट तब्बल १४ टक्क्यांपर्यंत वाढली आहे. सरकारचे कर्ज जीडीपीच्या तुलनेत ९० टक्क्यांपर्यंत वाढले आहे.
दरम्यान आघाडीची ब्रोकरेज फर्म ‘बार्कलेज’ ने देखील भारताच्या जीडीपी दराचा अंदाज कमी केला असून चालू आर्थिक वर्षात हा दर ११ टक्क्यांऐवजी १० टक्के होऊ शकतो, असे सांगितले आहे.
Lunawada, Gujarat: A couple from Gujarat has raised ₹16 crore with the help of a crowdfunding platform to buy a gene therapy injection for the treatment of their 5-month-old son suffering from spinal muscular atrophy, a rare genetic disorder.
The child was administered the injection at a private hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday, his father Rajdeepsingh Rathod told news agency.
Spinal muscular atrophy is a genetic disorder in which a person cannot control the movement of muscles due to loss of nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain stem. This causes muscular weakness and affects breathing as well as movement of limbs.
Mr. Rathod said he and his wife Jinalba managed to raise ₹16 crore for their son Dhairyaraj’s treatment within 42 days of launching the campaign in March this year, and expressed gratitude towards donors from Gujarat and other places, including foreign countries.
While the cost of the gene therapy injection, manufactured by Swiss pharma giant Novartis, is ₹16 crore in India, the Customs duty is about ₹ 6.5 crore, which the Centre has already waived on humanitarian ground, said Mr. Rathod, a native of Kanesar village near Lunawada town of Gujarat’s Mahisagar district.
He said the gene therapy injection by Novartis, considered as one of the costliest drugs in the world, is the only treatment for spinal muscular atrophy and it has to be imported after placing the order.
“The injection arrived from the US a few days back. We reached Mumbai on Tuesday and admitted our son in the hospital, where he was given the Zolgensma injection on Wednesday. It is a one-time gene therapy to treat children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy,” he said.
Mr. Rathod works at a private company and lives with his wife and son in neighbouring Godhra town of Panchmahal district.
The couple learnt about their son’s health disorder a month after his birth as he could barely move his hands and legs.
“A doctor diagnosed my son with spinal muscular atrophy type-1, a rare genetic disorder which restricts muscular movements and breathing. We were warned that it could eventually prove fatal as the child grows,” Mr. Rathod said.
He said the gene therapy injection by Novartis was the only hope, but its price was too high for them.
“Thus, I took the help of ImpactGuru platform for crowdfunding. We launched the campaign in March and managed to raise the money in just 42 days. The Centre also helped and waived the Customs duty of ₹ 6.5 crore,” he said.
Mr. Rathod is now hopeful that his son would be able to lead a healthy life.
राजस्थान :कोरोनामुळे मृत्यू झालेल्या आपल्या वडिलांच्या चितेवर ३४ वर्षाच्या मुलीने उडी मारली. या दुर्दैवी घटनेत मुलगी गंभीररित्या भाजली आहे. ही घटना राजस्थानमधील बारमेर येथे घडली. पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार तिच्यावडिलांना कोरोनाची लागण झाली होती.
राजस्थानातील बारमेर जिल्हातील ७३ वर्षाच्या दामोदरदास शारदा यांचा कोरोनामुळे मृत्यू झाला होता. त्यानंतर त्यांच्यावर अंत्यविधी करण्यात येत होते. दरम्यान, त्यांच्या तीन मुलींपैकी सर्वात लहान मुलगी चंद्रा शारदा यांनी अचानक वडिलांच्या जळत्या चितेवर उडी घेतली. ही माहिती पोलिसांनी दिली. ते पुढे म्हणाले की लोकांनी तिला बाहेर काढले पण, तोपर्यंत ती ७० टक्के भाजली होती. त्यानंतर तिला जवळच्या रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले. त्यानंतर तिला पुढच्या उपचारासाठी जोधपूर येथील रुग्णालयात हलवण्यात आले.
याबाबत महिती देताना कोतवाली पोलिस ठाण्याचे स्टेशन हाऊस ऑफिसर प्रेम प्रकाश यांनी सांगितले की ‘दामोदरदास शारदा यांना तीन मुली होत्या. त्यांच्या पत्नीचे काही काळापूर्वीच निधन झाले होते. तीन मुलींपैकी सर्वात लहान मुलीने वडिलांचे अंत्यविधी सुरु असतानाच वडिलांच्या जळत्या चितेवर उडी घेतली.’
दामोदरदास शारदा यांना रविवारी जिल्हा रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले होते. त्यांची कोरोना चाचणी पॉझिटिव्ह आली होती. त्यांचे मंगळवारी निधन झाले. पोलिसांनी सांगितले की त्यांच्या सर्वात लहान मुलीने अंत्यविधीसाठी येण्याची विनंती केली होती.
बीड: बीड जिल्हा रुग्णालयातील लसीकरण केंद्रावर आज बुधवारी मोठी गर्दी झाली होती. याबाबतची माहिती पोलिसांना मिळताच स्वतः डीवायएसपी वाळके हे त्या ठिकाणी गेले. यावेळी गर्दीवर नियंत्रण आणतांना वाळके यांनाच धक्काबुक्की झाली. यात त्यांच्या गळ्याला जखम झाली.
बीड जिल्ह्यात बुधवार ते शुक्रवार असे तीन दिवस कडक लॉकडाऊन करण्यात आलेले आहे. या दरम्यानच मंगळवारी रात्री लसीचा मोठा स्टॉक उपलब्ध झाल्यानंतर बहुतांश केंद्रांवर लसीकरण सुरु करण्यात आले आहे. परंतु लसीकरण केंद्रांची संख्या कमी असल्याने मोठ्या प्रमाणात गर्दी होत आहे. जिल्हा रुग्णालयातील लसीकरण केंद्रावर बुधवारी सकाळी मोठ्या प्रमाणात लोक लसीकरणासाठी आले होते.
याबाबतची माहिती मिळताच पोलिस उपअधीक्षक संतोष वाळके हे त्या ठिकाणी पथकासह पोहचले. यावेळी गर्दी नियंत्रणात आणतांना त्यांना धक्काबुक्की झाली. यात त्यांच्या गळ्याला जखम झाली असून या प्रकरणात तिघांना ताब्यात घेण्यात आले आहे. अन्य तिघांचा शोध पोलिस घेत आहेत.

To create an eco-system for the collection and conversion of UCO into Biodiesel and developing entrepreneurship opportunities, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel, along with Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, had initiated Expressions of Interest (EoIs) for “Procurement of Bio-diesel produced from Used Cooking Oil (UCO)” on the occasion of World Biofuel Day on 10th August 2019. And such “Expression of Interest” is being periodically released by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). In the first phase, 11 EoIs were floated between 10.08.2019 to 09.11.2020 for 200 locations. Publication of EoIs has been extended for one more year up to 31.12.2021, for 300 locations across the country.
Under this initiative, OMCs offer periodically incremental price guarantees for five years and extend off-take guarantees for ten years to prospective entrepreneurs. So far, IndianOil has also issued 23 LOIs for Biodiesel plants with a total capacity of 22.95 Cr Litres (557.57 TPD). Under this initiative, IndianOil has received 51KL of UCO-Biodiesel at its Tikrikalan terminal in Delhi as of 31.3.2021.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan complimented the Oil industry on the stellar role they have played to keep the fuel lines running despite the stiff challenges of the pandemic. He also lauded the OMCs for going beyond the usual business imperatives by extending support for medical oxygen supply to the nation in this crisis. Mr. Pradhan also appreciated IndianOil’s leadership role in smoothening the Liquid oxygen logistics in the country through various initiatives.
Referring to the flag-off of the first supply of UCO-based Biodiesel from IndianOil’s Tikrikalan Terminal, Mr. Pradhan said, “This is a landmark in India’s pursuance of Biofuels and will have a positive impact on the environment. This initiative will garner substantial economic benefits for the nation by shoring up indigenous Biodiesel supply, reducing import dependence, and generating rural employment”. He appreciated the proactive role played by OMCs in this direction and shared that 30 LOIs have already been issued.
Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Tarun Kapoor, while delivering his
address, said, “With this flag off, a new era of Bioenergy has been ushered in that will revolutionize the Indian petroleum sector. Feedstock availability in Biodiesel is a challenge, and leveraging UCO can be a major breakthrough that will enable us to reach the target of 5% Biodiesel blending. It will also help divert the unhealthy used oil from the food chain to a more productive purpose”. Mr. Kapoor also complimented IndianOil for their focused drive on UCO-based Biodiesel and for the concerted efforts undertaken to promote the benefits of Biodiesel.
Earlier, Chairman IndianOil Shri S M Vaidya, while welcoming the gathering, said, “IndianOil is committed to contributing to this remarkable drive to retrieve the unhealthy Used Cooking Oil and usher in a revolution through “Randhan se Indhan”. We aspire to trace even the last drop of UCO and ensure its conversion to Biodiesel, thereby contributing to a more energy secure, greener, and healthier India. This event is yet another significant step towards a Swachh and Aatmanirbhar Bharat”. He also shared that IndianOil has started constructing eight Biodiesel plants across Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
Biodiesel is an alternative fuel similar to conventional or ‘fossil’ diesel. It can be produced from vegetable oil, animal fats, tallow, and waste cooking oil. A significant advantage of Biodiesel is its carbon-neutrality, i.e. the oilseed absorbs the same amount of CO2 as is released when the fuel is combusted in a vehicle. Also, Biodiesel is rapidly biodegradable and completely non-toxic.
The Maharashtra government has made the RT-PCR test report mandatory for 3 more states for air travellers arriving at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. These include West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Recently assembly elections were held in West Bengal.
Besides Gram Panchayat elections were held in Uttarakhand and across all events. In view of the above events, the chief secretary of Maharashtra has issued an order making the RT-PCR report mandatory for the passengers flying from these states. The orders have been issued as the matter is sensitive. At present direct flights are not being operated from Nagpur to Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh and Kolkata in West Bengal. If the passenger has not done the RT-PCR test, they have to do it at the airport and all the passengers will be quarantined.
एकीकडे जग कोरोना व्हायरस महामारीमुळे हैराण आहे. तर दुसरीकडे काही लोक असेही आहेत जे या संकटकाळातही घोटाळे करत आहेत. त्यांच्या पैशांच्या लालसेसमोर माणसाच्या जीवालाही काही किंमत नाही. इंडोनेशियातून एक अशीच खळबळजनक घटना समोर आली आहे. एका औषध कंपनीच्या अनेक कर्मचाऱ्यांनी लोकांच्या जीवाशी खेळ केला. त्यांनी नाकातून सॅम्पल घेण्यासाठी वापरली कीट एकदा वापरल्यावर पुन्हा धुवून वापरल्या आहेत.
पोलिसांनुसार, मेडन एअरपोर्टवर कमीत कमी ९ हजार लोक या फसवणुकीचे शिकार झालेत. सरकारी कंपनी किमिया फार्मा विरोधात फसवणुकीचा शिकार झालेल्या प्रवाशांनी केस केली आहे. वैश्विक महामारीदरम्यान नाकातून स्वॅब घेऊन टेस्ट(Rapid Antigen Test) करणं भारतासहीत अनेक देशात सामान्य आहे. पोलिसांनी सांगितले की, हा घोटाळा गेल्यावर्षी डिसेंबरमध्ये उत्तर सुमात्रा कुआलानामू एअरपोर्टवर झाला. मात्र, हे स्पष्ट होऊ शकलं नाही की, याचा घोटाळ्याचा खुलासा कसा झाला.
इंडोनेशियामध्ये विमान प्रवास करण्यासाठी कोविड निगेटिव्ह रिपोर्ट गरजेचा आहे. त्यामुळे एअरपोर्टवर टेस्टिंगची व्यवस्था करण्यात आली आहे. एअरपोर्ट प्रशासन या टेस्ट किमिया फार्मा द्वारे उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आलेल्या एंजीजन रॅपिड टेस्ट कीटचा वापर करून करत होते.
गेल्या आठवड्यात मॅनेजरसहीत कंपनीच्या पाच कर्मचाऱ्यांना अटक करण्यात आली. यांच्यावर संशय आहे की, त्यांनी आरोग्य आणि उपभोक्ता कायद्याचं उल्लंघन केलं. नाकातून सॅम्पल घेण्याच्या स्टिकचा एकदा वापर केल्यावर पुन्हा त्या धुवून पॅक करून विकल्या. या प्रकरणात २३ लोकांच्या तक्रारीनंतर पोलिसांनी केस दाखल केली आहे. तसेच तपासही सुरू केला आहे. असे मानले जात आहे की, या लोकांनी या घोटाळ्यातून साधारण ९२ लाख रूपये नफा कमावला.
याचाही शोध घेतला जात आहे की, यातून मिळालेल्या पैशातून एका कर्मचाऱ्याने आलिशान घर बांधलं. किमिया फार्माचं मुख्यालय जकार्तामध्ये आहे. कंपनीने सर्वच आरोपींना कामाहून काढलंय. काही प्रवाशी कंपनी विरोधात केस ठोकण्याच्या तयारीत आहेत. सामूहिक केसमध्ये प्रत्येक प्रवाशाला १०० कोटी इंडोनेशियाई रूपये नुकसान भरपाईची मागणी केली जात आहे.
कोरोनाच्या काळात शाळा बंद असून, वर्ग हे ऑनलाईन पद्धतीने घेतले. लॉकडाऊनमुळे अनेकांना आर्थिक संकटाचाही सामना करावा लागल्याने संवेदनशीलतेने विचार करुन शैक्षणिक संस्थांनी शुल्क कमी करावे, अशी सूचना सुप्रीम कोर्टाने दिली. याममुळे लाखो पालकांना दिलासा मिळाला आहे.
लॉकडाऊनमुळे शाळा बंद असतानाही शाळांनी संपूर्ण शुल्काची सातत्याने मागणी केली होती. पालकांची ही समस्या लक्षात घेऊन राजस्थान सरकारने आपत्ती व्यवस्थापन अधिनियमांतर्गत खासगी विनाअनुदानित शाळांना ३० टक्के शुल्क कपातीचे आदेश दिले होते. याविरोधात या संस्थांनी कोर्टात धाव घेतली होती. राज्य घटनेनुसार शाळांना व्यवसाय करण्याचा मूलभूत अधिकार असल्याचा दावा शाळांनी केला होता. याचिकेवर न्या. ए. एम. खानविलकर आणि न्या. दिनेश माहेश्वरी यांच्या खंडपीठापुढे झालेल्या सुनावणीत कोर्टाने सांगितले, की ऑनलाईन वर्ग आणि शाळेत इतर उपक्रम बंद असल्याने शाळांचा एकूण खर्च कमी झाला आहे. ज्या सुविधा पुरविल्या नाहीत, त्यासाठी शुल्क आकारता येणार नाही. अशा सुविधांसाठी शुल्क आकारणे म्हणजे नफेखोरी आणि व्यापारीकरण आहे.
राजस्थान सरकारचा निर्णय कायम
सुप्रीम कोर्टाने राजस्थान सरकारचा निर्णय कायम ठेवतांना सांगितले, की लॉकडाऊनमुळे शाळा उघडण्याची परवानगी नसल्याने शाळांनीही मोठ्या प्रमाणात बचत केली असेल. विद्यार्थ्यांनी न वापरलेल्या सुविधांना विचारात घेऊन १५ टक्के बचत ग्राह्य धरुन शाळांनी २०२०-२१ या सत्रासाठी १५ टक्के शुल्क कपात करावी. शुल्करचना ठरवतांना पालकांनाही त्यात सहभागी करावे.
संवेदनशीलता जपा
सुनावणीदरम्यान कोर्टाने शाळांना संवेदनशील राहण्याचे सांगितले. या काळात विद्यार्थी आणि पालकांवरही संकट आले आहे. अनेकांचे रोजगार गेले आहेत. उत्पन्न कमी झाले आहे. त्यामुळे शाळांनी संवेदनशीलता दाखवून या कठीण परिस्थितीत मदत करण्याच्या दृष्टीने पावले उचलावीत, असे न्यायालयाने म्हटले आहे.
भंडारा: मोहफुलांवर सद्यस्थितीत महाराष्ट्र दारूबंदी अधिनियम १९४९ या कायद्याअंतर्गत असलेले निर्बंध हटवण्याचा महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णय मंगळवारी राज्य सरकारने घेतला आहे. या निर्णयामुळे आता मोहफुल गोळा करणे, बाळगणे व राज्यांतर्गत मोहफुलांची वाहतूक करणे यावरील निर्बंध उठवले आहेत. आता यासाठी परवागीचीही आवश्यकता राहिली नाही. त्यामुळे यंत्रणेकडून या व्यवसायातील आदिवासी, गरीब शेतकरी व संस्थांची होणारी पिळवणुकीला आळा बसेल. तसेच परराज्यात निर्यातीचे धोरण खुले ठेवल्यामुळे मोहफुले गोळा करणाऱ्यांना योग्य दर मिळेल.
आदिवासी विकास विभागालाही मोहफुले वापराकरिता नवीन योजना तयार करण्यात येणार आहेत. या योजनांतर्गत मोहफुलांच्या व्यापाराकरिता एफएफ-२ अनुज्ञप्ती आवश्यक असणार आहे. या अनुज्ञप्ती आदिवासी सदस्य असलेल्या आदिवासी विकास संस्था, महिला बचत गट, सहकारी संस्था, ग्रामपंचायत अशा प्रकारच्या मुंबई मोहफुले अधिनियम १९५० मधील नियम २ सी नुसार मान्यताप्राप्त संस्थांना नवीन एफएफ-२ परवाने मिळणार आहेत. या संदर्भातील शासन निर्णयही मंगळवारी गृहविभागाने काढला आहे.
पूर्व विदर्भासाठी महत्त्वाचा असलेल्या या विषयाकडे मागील वीस वर्षांपासून नाना पटोले यांनी सातत्याने पाठपुरावा केला. मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांच्या या निर्णयामुळे पूर्व विदर्भातील सर्वसामान्य शेतकरी व शेतमजूरांना मोठा आधार मिळेल तसेच मोहफुलावर आधारित उद्योगांना चालना मिळेल, असे प्रदेश काँग्रेसचे सरचिटणीस रवींद्र दरेकर म्हणाले.
प्रदीर्घ लढ्याला मिळाले यश : नाना पटोले मोहफुलांवरील निर्बंध हटवावे, यासाठी १९९९ पासून संघर्ष करीत होतो. आज या प्रदीर्घ लढ्याला यश आले आहे. या निर्णयाचा विदर्भातील जनतेला मोठा फायदा होणार असून यामुळे प्रक्रिया उद्योग आणि पर्यायाने रोजगार निर्मितीला चालना मिळणार आहे, असे महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश काँग्रेसचे अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले म्हणाले. विदर्भातील वनांसोबत शेतकऱ्यांच्या शेतामध्येही मोठ्या प्रमाणात मोहफुलांची झाडे आहेत. त्या शेतकऱ्यांनाही आता उत्पन्नाचे साधन निर्माण होणार आहे. मोहफुले गोळा करणे व व्यापारावरील जाचक निर्बंध हटवल्याने विदर्भात मोहफुलांच्या झाडांच्या लागवडीला चालना मिळेल. यातून मोठ्या प्रमाणात पर्यावरणाचे रक्षणही होईल, असे पटोले म्हणाले.
अभिनेता Manoj Bajpayee ची वेब सीरिज ‘द फॅमिली मॅन’ २०१९ मध्ये रिलीज झाली होती. या वेब सीरिजला प्रेक्षकांनी अक्षरशः डोक्यावर घेतलं होतं. या वेब सीरिजला प्रेक्षकांचं तुफान प्रेम मिळालं. त्यानंतर मागच्या बऱ्याच काळापासून या वेब सीरिज्याच्या दुसऱ्या सीझनची प्रेक्षक मागच्या बऱ्याच काळापासून प्रतिक्षा करत आहेत. हा सीझन खरं तर फेब्रुवारीमध्ये रिलीज होणार होता पण ओटीटी प्लॅटफॉर्मवरील वादांमुळे या वेब सीरिजची रिलीज डेट पुढे ढकलण्यात आली होती. पण आता या वेब सीरिजच्या चाहत्यांसाठी एक आनंदाची बातमी आहे. ही वेब सीरिज आता जूनमध्ये रिलीज होणार आहे.
वेब सीरिजचे निर्माते राद निधिमोरु आणि कृष्णा डीके यांनी ही वेब सीरिज कधी रिलीज होणार याची घोषणा केली. निर्मात्यांनी याबाबत एक स्टेटमेंट दिलं आहे. ज्यात त्यांनी लिहिलं, ‘आम्हाला माहीत आहे की, तुम्ही ‘द फॅमिली मॅन २’ च्या दुसऱ्या सीझनची आतुरतेनं वाट पाहत आहात. या वेब सीरिजला तुम्ही जे प्रेम दिलं त्यासाठी आम्ही आभारी आोहत. पण तुमच्यासाठी आमच्याकडे नवे अपडेट आहेत. ‘द फॅमिली मॅन २’ लवकरच तुमच्या भेटीला येत आहे.’
पिंकव्हिलानं दिलेल्या वृत्तानुसार ‘द फॅमिली मॅन २’ जून महिन्यात रिलीज होणार आहे. वेब सीरिजचे मेकर्स लवकरच फायनल रिलीज डेटची घोषणा करतील. ‘द फॅमिली मॅन २’मध्ये Manoj Bajpayee अभिनेत्री समंथा अक्कीनेनीही महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिकेत दिसणार आहे. या वेब सीरिजमध्ये ती ‘राजी’ नावाच्या मुलीची भूमिका साकारत आहे.
दरम्यान जानेवरीमध्ये ‘द फॅमिली मॅन २’चा ट्रेलर रिलीज झाला होता. ज्याला प्रेक्षकांना खूप चांगला प्रतिसाद दिला होता. यावेळी प्रेक्षकांना वेब सीरिजचा खलनायक जिवंत आहे की नाही याबाबत खूप उत्सुकता आहे. ही भूमिका अभिनेता नीरज माधवने साकारली आहे. या भूमिकेसाठी त्याचं बरंच कौतुकही झालं होतं.
नागपुर: केवळ राजकारणासाठी देशात हत्या होणार असतील आणि देशातील राजकारणी त्यावर गप्प बसून त्याला मुकसंमती देणार असतील तर हे लोकशाहीवरील सर्वात मोठं संकट आहे. पश्चिम बंगालमधील भाजप कार्यकर्त्यांविरोधातील हिंसाचार हा लोकशाहीविरोधी असल्याचं विधानसभेचे विरोधी पक्षनेते देवेंद्र फडणवीसांनी म्हटलं आहे. तसेच देशभरातील भाजपचे कार्यकर्ते पश्चिम बंगालमधील कार्यकर्त्यांच्या सोबत असल्याचं आश्वासनही त्यांनी दिलं आहे. पश्चिम बंगालमधील हिंसाचाराच्या विरोधात विधानसभेचे विरोधी पक्षनेते देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी नागपुरात आंदोलन सुरु केलं आहे.
पश्चिम बंगालमध्ये भाजप कार्यकर्त्यांवरील हल्ल्याचा निषेध म्हणून भाजपकडून राज्यभर आंदोलन केलं जातंय. यावेळी बोलताना देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले की, “स्वत:ला पुरोगामी म्हणणारे पश्चिम बंगालमधील हिंसाचारावर गप्प का आहेत. केवळ राजकारणासाठी देशात हत्या होणार असतील आणि देशातील राजकारणी त्यावर गप्प बसून त्याला मुकसंमती देणार असतील तर हे लोकशाहीवरील सर्वात मोठं संकट आहे. म्हणून भारतीय जनता पक्षाच्या प्रत्येक कार्यकर्त्यांच्या पाठीशी आम्ही उभे आहोत.”
ममता दीदींना वेगवेगळ्या उपमा देणारे आता हिंसाचारावर काय बोलणार हा आमच्या समोर सवाल आहे असं सांगत त्यांनी मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे आणि इतरांना टोला लगावला.
सध्या कोरोनाचा काळ आहे अन्यथा आमची बंगालमध्ये जाऊन कार्यकर्त्यांना संरक्षण देण्याची तयारी आहे असंही देवेंद्र फडणवीस म्हणाले. सध्या बंगालमध्ये जो नरसंहार सुरू आहे तो थांबवणे आणि कायद्याचं राज्य प्रस्थापित करणं हीच आमची प्राथमिकता आहे असं त्यांनी सांगितलं.
महाराष्ट्र भाजपचे प्रदेशाध्यक्ष चंद्रकांत पाटील यांनी राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष जेपी नड्डा यांना विनंती केली आहे की बंगालमधील ज्या कार्यकर्त्यांची घरे जाळण्यात आली आहेत त्यांना राज्य भाजपाच्या वतीने नवीन घरे बांधून देण्याची परवानगी द्यावी अशी माहिती देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी दिली.
पश्चिम बंगालमधील निवडणुकीच्या निकालानंतर राज्यात काही ठिकाणी हिंसाचार झाला असून तो हिंसाचार तृणमूल काँग्रेसच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी घडवला असल्याचा आरोप भाजपने केला आहे.
