The first song from Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba “Aankh Marey” is out and unlike many other remixes, this one retains the masala element of the original song.
The video of the song starts with Karan Johar dancing to the beat of the song. Ranveer and Sara then take over the dance number. Singh is known for his energetic screen presence and Khan matches him at every step. There is also a cameo of the Golmaal team.
Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tushar Kapoor appear halfway through the dance number and in an homage to the original song from Tere Mere Sapne, Arshad Warsi appears and he is seen lip-syncing to Kumar Sanu’s voice.
The Simmba version of “Aankh Marey” has been sung by Mika Singh and Neha Kakkar with lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed. The song has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.
The original version of “Aankh Marey” was sung by Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy for the 1996 film Tere Mere Sapne, which was the debut of Arshad Warsi. The music was given by Viju Shah.
The new track is fun, nostalgic and upbeat. It can easily be called an updated version of the original song.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba releases on December 28.
Nagpur: Abhijit Bangar, who took over as the new municipal commissioner on Wednesday, said his top priority for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) would be to improve its financial condition by tapping new sources of revenue along with boosting the income.
Bangar admitted to NMC’s critical financial condition. He was quick to point out that the revised Goods and Services Tax (GST) grant will take care of NMC’s Rs 90 crore committed expenditure. Till October, the NMC got Rs 52.57 crore as monthly GST grant. However, the NMC will have to take care of capital liability in terms of city’s development work, he said.
“Local government bodies should be self-sufficient and must fulfil needs of the administration as well as the people through their revenue. Help from the central and state governments should be taken for new development-oriented investment,” Bangar said.
According to him, the NMC’s dependency on government grant has increased manifold. Now, his focus will be to improve its own revenue generation like cent per cent property tax collection and tapping new resources of revenue in consultation from elected representatives.
However, the immediate priority for him was to gear up for water scarcity looming large over the city. He said the NMC will prepare a short-term plan so that citizens don’t have to suffer from water scarcity in the coming days.
The new civic chief said he will also focus on sanitation and cleanliness. He admitted that the Swachh Bharat ranking was affected due to NMC’s poor complaint redressal system. “My focus will be to address each and every genuine complaint of citizens pertaining to sanitation and cleanliness,” he said.
Bangar added that he will take this opportunity to work in chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari’s hometown.
नागपूर : लहान मुलांसह आबाल-वृद्धांसाठी विरंगुळ्याचे ठिकाण असलेले महाराजबागची मान्यता रद्द करण्याचा निर्णय झाल्याने संपूर्ण नागपूरकरांना मानसिक धक्का बसला आहे. सर्वांनी महाराजबाग बंद करण्याच्या निर्णयाला कडाडून विरोध केला.
मुंबईतील राणीची बाग असो किंवा नागपुरातील महाराजबाग हे नेहमीच सर्व स्तरातील नागरिकांसाठी आकर्षणाचा केंद्र राहिला आहे. केंद्रीय चिडियाघर प्राधिकरणाने महाराज बागची मान्यता रद्द करीत असल्याचा आदेश पारित केल्यानंतर महाराज बाग वाचवण्याकरिता धडपड सुरू झाली आहे. एकशे पंचवीस वर्ष जुनी असलेल्या महाराज बागे मध्ये वाघ, बिबट्या, हरीण, मोर यासह असंख्य पक्षांची आणि वन्यप्राण्यांचे शासकीय निवासस्थान असलेल्या महाराजबागकडे सर्वच दया नजरेने बघू लागले आहेत.

नागपूर : आसीनगर झोनमधील नागरिकांच्या समस्या प्राधान्याने सोडविणार असल्याचे आश्वासन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी केले. महापौरांनी नागपूर शहरातील नागरिकांच्या झोननिहाय समस्या जाणून घेण्यासाठी महापौर आपल्या दारी हा उपक्रम सुरू केला आहे. याअंतर्गत मंगळवारी महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी आसीनगर झोनमधील प्रभाग क्रमांक ६ मधील नागरिकांशी भेट घेऊन तेथील समस्या जाणून घेतल्या.
यावेळी त्यांच्यासमवेत कर आकारणी समिती सभापती संदीप जाधव, वैद्यकीय सेवा व आरोग्य समिती सभापती मनोज चापले, जलप्रदाय समिती सभापती पिंटू झलके, नगरसेवक मनोज सांगोळे, जितेंद्र घोडेस्वार, मोहम्मद इब्राहिम टेलर, अतिरिक्त आयुक्त राम जोशी, सहायक आयुक्त विजय हुमने, गणेश राठोड, आरोग्य अधिकारी (स्वच्छता)सुनील कांबळे, जलप्रदाय विभागाचे मनोज गणवीर यांच्यासह ओसीडब्लूचे कर्मचारी व संबंधीत विभागाचे अधिकारी उपस्थित होते.

आदर्शनगर व खोब्रागडे नगर येथील नाल्याकाठातील घरांना तेथील जनावरांचा त्रास होत असल्याची तक्रार तेथील नागरिकांनी केली. त्यावर महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी लवकरच समस्या सोडविण्यात येईल, असा विश्वास दिला. राणी दुर्गावती चौक ते ऑटोमोटिव्ह या दरम्यानच्या सीमेंटच्या रस्त्याचे काम संथगतीने सुरू आहे. त्या रस्त्याच्या कामाला गती देण्यात यावी, अशी मागणी नगरसेवकांनी केली. त्यावर बोलताना महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी लवकरच त्याबाबत प्रस्ताव तयार करून मला सादर करण्याचे निर्देश झोन सहायक आयुक्तांना दिले.
रस्त्याचा काही खचला आहे त्यावर डांबरीकरण करण्यात यावे, यासाठी हॉटमिक्स विभागाला त्याबाबत अवगत करण्यात यावे, असे निर्देश महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिले. जयभीम चौकातील डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या स्मारकाची डागडुजी करण्याचा प्रस्ताव नगरसेवक जितेंद्र घोडेस्वार यांनी मांडला त्यावर महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी संमती दर्शवली.
यादव नगर येथील बौद्ध विहारात स्थानिक नागरिकांच्या वतीने महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांचे स्वागत करण्यात आले. यावेळी स्थानिक परिसरातील नागरिकांनी व महिलांनी महापौरांना आपल्या समस्या सांगितल्या. बोअरवेलच्या दुरूस्तीच्या कामाची तक्रार मोठ्या प्रमाणावर असल्याने महापौरांनी ओसिडब्लूच्या अधिका-यांना जाब विचारत खडेबोल सुनावले. बोअरवेल दुरूस्तीचे काम सात दिवसाच्या आत पूर्ण करण्यात यावे, नाही केल्यास कारवाई करण्यात येईल, असा इशाराही महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिला.
वैशाली नगर येथील समस्या महापौरांनी जाणून घेतल्या. वैशाली नगरमधील झोपड्डीवासीयांची पाण्याची सोय, त्यांना स्थायी नळ कनेक्शन देण्याचे महापौरांनी कबुल केले. वैशाली नगरातील उघड्या नाल्याची समस्या व स्वच्छतेचा प्रश्न कायमस्वरूपी लवकरात लवकर सोडविण्यात यावा, असे निर्देश आरोग्यअधिका-यांना दिले. वैशाली नगरात अतिक्रमणाची समस्या मोठ्या प्रमाणावर आहे, त्यादेखील लवकरात लवकर सोडविण्यात येईल, असे आश्वासन महापौर नंदा जिचकार यांनी दिले.
यांनंतर महापौरांनी घनोबा देवस्थान, पंचकुआ, बाळाभाऊ पेठ, टेका नाला, भिडवाई शाळेजवळचा परिसाची पाहणी केली. तेथील परिस्थितीचा आढावा घेतला. सर्व समस्या प्राध्यानाने सोडविण्यात येतील, असे आश्वासन तेथील नागरिकांना दिले. महापौरांच्या भेटीने स्थानिक नागरिकांमध्ये आनंदाचे वातावरण होते. स्थानिक नागरिकांच्या समस्या सोडविण्याने नागरिकांनी महापौरांचे आभार मानले.

नागपुर : उपराजधानी में वायुसेना के सेवानिवृत्त हवलदार की बेटी ने फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। घटित प्रकरण के चौबीस घंटे बाद भी इसके कारणों का खुलासा नही हुआ है। बेलतरोड़ी थाने में मामला दर्ज हुआ है। प्रारंभिक जांच में तनाव के चलते आत्मघाती कदम उठाए जाने चर्चा है। फिलहाल पुलिस ने आकस्मिक मृत्यु का प्रकरण दर्ज किया है। जानकारी के अनुसार नरेंद्र नगर स्थित साईकृपा सोसाइटी निवासी अशोक जोनवाल (५८) वायुसेना से बतौर हवलदार के रुप में सेवानिवृत्त हुए हैं। परिवार में उनकी पत्नी और इकलौती बेटी मानसी (१७ ) वर्ष थी। जानकारी है की मानसी पढ़ाई में काफी तेज थी, कक्षा १२ वी में उसने ७२% अंक प्राप्त किए थे। किन्तु इसके बाद ही मानसी ने पढ़ाई छोड़ दी थी। जिसके बाद वह घर में ही पढाई करने लगी थी। दरअसल मानसी ने कुछ कालेजों में दाखिले के लिए आवेदन किया था, किन्तु मनचाहे कालेज में दाखिला नही मिलने से वह मन ही मन टूटी रहती थी। इस कारण उसने जिस कालेज में उसे दाखिला मिला था उसने उस कालेज में जाना ही बंद कर दिया था और घर में ही पढ़ते रहती थी। अगले वर्ष से वह उसी विषय में दाखिला लेने वाली थी।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार मानसी को मोबाइल में गेम खेलने की दीवानगी थी। इस कारण वह पिता को भी अपने मोबाइल को हाथ लगाने नही देती थी। मानसी दिन भर घर में रहने से पिता ने भी कभी उसे गंभीरता से नही लिया। छत पर एक कमरा बना हुआ है, जिसे मानसी ने अपना कमरा बना लिया था। वह उसी कमरे में दिन भर पाली हुई बिल्लियों से खेलती, मोबाइल में गेम भी वहीं पर खेलती थी और उसी कमरे में सोती भी थी। मंगलवार की शाम करीब साढे सात बजे के दौरान सिलिंग फैन को चुन्नी बांधकर मानसी ने फांसी लगा ली। जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई। पिता अशोक जब कमरे में आवाज देने गए तो घटित प्रकरण का खुलासा हुआ । घटना का कारण ज्ञात नही हुआ है, लेकिन माना जा रहा है कि मनचाहा कालेज नही मिलने और एकांत में रहने से तनाव के चलते ही मानसी ने उक्त कदम उठाया हो सकता है, पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही हैं।

According to the publication, there are 18 women on the list (which first came out in 2012) – down from 21 in 2017. Actors Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and shuttlers PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal are part of the 100.

नागपूर : पर्यावरणाचा ऱ्हास टाळण्यासाठी अपारंपरिक ऊर्जेला प्रोत्साहन देण्यात येत असून, त्याअंतर्गत सोलर ग्रीड योजना शेतकऱ्यांसाठी राबविण्यात आली आहे. राज्यातील मेट्रोसह विविध पायाभूत प्रकल्पामुळे सौरऊर्जेला प्राधान्य देण्यात येत असल्यामुळे पर्यावरणातील प्रदूषण कमी करण्यास मदत होत आहे. येत्या काळात पर्यावरणातील प्रदूषण टाळायचे असेल तर ग्रीन एनर्जीला प्राधान्य देण्याचे आवाहन मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी केले.
मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठ परिसरात 200 किलोवॅट क्षमतेचा सौरऊर्जा प्रकल्प उभारण्यात आला आहे. या प्रकल्पाच्या उद्घाटनप्रसंगी ते बोलत होते.
यावेळी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाचे मुख्य न्यायाधीश नरेश पाटील, न्यायाधीश रवी के. देशपांडे, पालकमंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे, बार असोसिएशनचे अध्यक्ष अनिल किलोर, सचिव प्रफुल्ल कुंभलकर आदी उपस्थित होते.
मुख्यमंत्री श्री. फडणवीस म्हणाले, गेल्या दशकात वातावरणात अनेक बदल होताना दिसून आले आहेत. मागील चार वर्षातील पर्जन्यमान किंवा वातावरणातील बदलावर नजर टाकल्यास आमूलाग्र बदल झालेला दिसून येतो. हा बदल मानवीयदृष्ट्या फायदेशीर नसल्याने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी विकसित देशाप्रमाणे कमी ऊर्जा आणि कमी खर्च ही संकल्पना आत्मसात करुन सौरऊर्जेच्या वापरावर भर दिला आहे. त्यानुसार राज्य शासनाने पर्यावरण समतोल राखण्यासाठी पारंपरिक ऊर्जास्त्रोतांचा वापर करण्याचे आव्हान स्वीकारले.
कृषी विभागातील नवनवीन प्रयोगाविषयी बोलताना मुख्यमंत्री श्री. फडणवीस म्हणाले, राज्यात 75 टक्के वीजनिर्मिती ही कोळशापासून केली जाते. त्यामुळे पर्यावरणाचा मोठ्या प्रमाणात ऱ्हास होतो. ही हानी टाळता यावी यासाठी सोलर ग्रीडचा वापर करुन शेतकऱ्यांना विविध मेगावॅटचे सोलर इंजिन तसेच कृषीपंपाचे वाटप करण्यात येत आहे. यामुळे शेतकऱ्यांना सौरऊर्जेवर आधारित २४ तास वीज उपलब्ध होण्यास मदत झाली आहे.
केवळ कृषी क्षेत्रातच नव्हे तर वाहतूक क्षेत्रातही ग्रीन एनर्जी तयार करण्याचा प्रयत्न केला जात आहे. त्यामुळे नागपूर मेट्रो प्रकल्पात ५६ टक्के सोलर पावरचा वापर करण्यात येणार आहे. येत्या काळात इलेक्ट्रीक बस, बायो इंधन, इथेनॉलच्या माध्यमातून नागपूर शहर ग्रीन एनर्जीयुक्त करणार असल्याचे सांगताना मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठ परिसरात उभारण्यात आलेल्या सौरऊर्जा प्रकल्पाच्या निर्मितीबद्दल न्यायालय प्रशासनाचे मुख्यमंत्री श्री. फडणवीस यांनी अभिनंदन केले.

The drive will continue in South Nagpur for next few days. superintending engineer SS Gujjelwar, the NIT team demolished Shiv Nag mandir at Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Hanuman Mandir at Shivshakti Housing Co-operative Society, Puratan Hanuman Mandir at Annapurna Housing Society, Jai Mata and Nag mandir at Niwas Housing Society, Nag and Shivling Mandir at Gurukripa Housing Society, Hanuman mandir at Shri Samarth Gajanan Gruh Nirman Sansthan, Ganpati and Nagoba mandir at Balabhaupeth, Nag mandir at Suvarna Housing Society and Nag mandir at Nagrik Suvichar Housing Society.

Nagpur : Once renowned as the locality of city’s rich and famous with plush bungalows and mansions, Dhantoli has now turned into a mess of haphazard high rise buildings, mostly occupied by hospitals and clinics. Even a PIL by residents in the Nagpur bench of Bombay high court could not improve the situation, forcing many citizens to even shift to other areas.
On Tuesday, when another PIL filed by Dhantoli Nagrik Mandal came up for hearing, a division bench comprising chief justice Naresh Patil and justice Nitin Sambre expressed serious concern over the problems faced by residents due to severe congestion and parking problems.
Censuring civic officials, the bench observed that due to sudden rise in number of hospitals and clinics in the area, the number of visitors too has shot up drastically, thus creating severe traffic snarls and parking problems in the area with narrow lanes and bylanes. The HC directed Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and traffic police to convene a meeting with concerned government officials to discuss and resolve the problems faced by Dhantoli citizens. The judges pointed out that it’s the duty of public representatives (corporators) to help them in such situations, by formulating policies to save them from the menace.
They suggested that the respondents explore possibilities like implementing odd-even system, successfully implemented in New Delhi, along with widening of narrow roads, creating no-parking zones and one-ways. These should be first implemented on pilot basis, and, if successful, could be replicated in other areas. They directed the authorities to deploy local agencies to monitor traffic, keep a check on sanctioning authorities, and take stringent measures to control haphazard parking.

Earlier, petitioners’ counsels — Ashutosh Dharmadhikari and Ashwin Deshpande — contended that though the civic officials had taken steps as per HC’s directives after last hearing, in January and April last year, they were turning out to be insufficient due to inadequate monitoring.
Fed up with the number of hospitals mushrooming in the already crowded area, the petitioners prayed before the to HC make it mandatory for new buildings to have two parking slots for cars and two-wheelers for every flat. They also demanded change in rules for existing plot owners, to ease traffic congestion and parking problems.
They contended that a majority of hospitals are using designated parking zones for various facilities, like reception counters, store rooms, canteen and even for installing generators, in gross violation of norms. There are close to 115 hospitals and medical clinics in a radius of just 1.5km, which could be a record of sorts. A prayer has also been made to stop construction of any more full-fledged hospitals, if not small clinics and dispensaries, in existing residential areas.

The satellite, launched at 2.07 am (IST), will help provide satellite-based internet to remote places where cable-based internet cannot reach. The satellite, weighing 5,854 kg, is the heaviest Indian-made equipment that the agency put into its orbit. This launch was the second attempt after ISRO’s first bid failed in May earlier this year and was placed into space on its 102 nd flight, the Ariane 5 rocket. According to ISRO, the satellite is healthy after the launch.
“GSAT-11 is the next generation high throughput communication satellite that will play a vital role in providing broadband services across the country. It will also provide a platform to demonstrate new generation applications,” Dr K Sivan, ISRO chief said.
The “Big Bird” has cost about Rs. 600 crore. The ariane-5 heavyweight rocket was hired from Arianespace by ISRO. The satellite is expected to have a life span of 15 years.
The satellite internet, which the GSAT-11 will help to provide, will aid in giving internet connectivity in flights in India. The GSAT-11 is equivalent to the combined power of almost all communications satellites sent into orbit by India. A communications specialist told that the satellite is like a constellation of 30 classical orbiting satellites.
India has hired the French Ariane-5 rocket as it can heavy payload into orbit. India’s own geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle MK iii or GSLV MK iii can haul satellites that weighs upto 4 tons. Along with its three siblings, GSAT-19, GSAT-29 and GSAT-20, the satellite will be a “game changer for providing internet access and data communications for India and will aid the digital India program. Dr Sivan adds.
After releasing the film’s teaser earlier in September, Vicky Kaushal shared the trailer of his upcoming film, Uri: The Surgical Strike, on his social media profiles on Wednesday.
Sharing the trailer on Twitter, he wrote, “Yeh naya Hindustan hai! #URItrailer out now!” referring to Paresh Rawal’s dialogue in the film, “Yeh naya Hindustan hai, yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi, aur maarega bhi.”
The 2.24-minute trailer has Kaushal in top form as an army officer leading a team to avenge the killings of his fellow comrades. Action packed and adrenalin fuelled, the trailer has a rousing background score sung by Sukhwinder Singh.
Written and directed by Aditya Dhar, Uri is based on the surgical strikes that the Indian Army’s Special Forces carried out across Line of Control (LoC) on September 29 in response to the deaths of 19 unarmed soldiers who were killed at Kashmir’s Uri basecamp on September 18, 2016, in an early morning attack by Pakistani terrorists.
Though all the actors in the film—Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Kriti Kulhari—get their screen time in the trailer, it is Kaushal the video focuses on the most and he delivers. With roles ranging from a Pakistani cop in Raazi to a careless indecisive boy in Mannmarziyaan and now a fearless and responsible military officer, Kaushal is proving his mettle as an actor with every film.

नागपूर : संतप्त पतीने पत्नी व मुलाचा दगडाने ठेचून निर्घृण खून करून मृतदेह शेतात पुरल्याची खळबळजनक घटना अरोली पोलिस स्टेशनअंतर्गत खात येथे मंगळवारी सकाळी उघडकीस आली. याप्रकरणी पोलिसांनी हत्या व पुरावा नष्ट केल्याचा गुन्हा दाखल करून मारेकऱ्याला अटक केली आहे. अनिरुद्ध सुखदेव बावणे ( वय ४७, रा. खात), असे मारेकऱ्याचे, तर लता बावणे (वय ३५) व धीरज (वय १८, दोन्हा रा. हुडकेश्वर),अशी मृतकांची नावे आहेत.
अनिरुद्ध हा दुसरी पत्नी प्रभा व मुलीसह खात येथे राहातो. त्याची पहिली पत्नी लता ही मुलगा धीरज याच्यासह हुडकेश्वरमध्ये राहात होती. लता यांना पैशाची आवश्यकता होती. २६ नोव्हेंबरला त्या मुलाला घेऊन खात येथे गेल्या. यावेळी अनिरुद्ध हा शेतात होता. दोघे शेतात गेले. लता यांनी अनिरुद्धला पैशाची मागणी केली. दोघांमध्ये वाद झाला. संतप्त होऊन अनिरुद्धने लता यांच्या डोक्यावर दगडाने वार केला. रक्ताच्या थारोळ्यात लता खाली पडल्या. धीरज हा लता यांना वाचिवण्यासाठी धावला असता अनिरुद्धने धीरजच्याही डोक्यावर दगडाने वार केले. घटनास्थळीच दोघांचा मृत्यू झाला. अनिरुद्धने दोघांचे मृतदेह शेतात लपविले. घरी गेला. आंघोळ केली. मध्यरात्री मीठ व कुदळ घेऊन तो शेतात आला. खड्डा खोदला. दोघांचे मृतदेह पुरले. २ नोव्हेंबरला लता यांचे भाऊ नारायण लक्ष्मण डहाके (रा. काटोल) यांनी लता व धीरजच्या मोबाइलवर संपर्क साधला. संपर्क झाला नाही. त्यांनी लता यांच्या घरमालकाकडे विचारणा केली. दोघे खात येथे गेल्याचे नारायण यांना कळले. ते खात येथे गेले. दोघांना भंडारा येथे सोडल्याचे अनिरुद्धने नारायण यांना सांगितले. दोघांनी भंडारा गाठले. दोघे बेपत्ता असल्याची तक्रार भंडारा पोलिसांत केली. पोलिसांनी बेपत्ता असल्याची नोंद घेत दोघांचा शोध सुरू केला.
मुलगा व पत्नीची हत्या केल्यानंतर अनिरुद्ध तणावात राहायला लागला. दोघांची हत्या केल्याचा त्याला पश्चात्ताप झाला. मंगळवारी सकाळी त्याने अरोली पोलिस स्टेशन गाठले. पत्नी व मुलाची हत्या करून मृतदेह शेतात पुरल्याचे त्याने पोलिसांना सांगितले. पोलिसांमध्ये खळबळ उडाली. पोलिसांनी त्याची चौकशी सुरू केली. घटनेची माहिती मिळताच पोलिस अधीक्षक राकेश ओला, उपविभागीय पोलिस अधिकारी नयन अलुरकर अरोली पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये पोहोचले. अनिरुद्धची चौकशी केली. त्यानंतर पोलिस त्याला घेऊन शेतात गेले. त्याने दोघांचे मृतदेह पुरल्याची जागा दाखविली. पोलिसांनी मृतदेह बाहेर काढले. पंचनामा केला.
धीरज हा वंजारी कॉलेजमध्ये बारावीत विज्ञान शाखेला शिकत होता. त्याला कॉलेजची फी जमा करायची होती. तसेच शिकवणी वर्गासाठीही त्याला पैसे हवे होते. त्यामुळे तो लता यांच्यासह खात येथे गेला, अशी माहिती पोलिसांनी दिली. लता व अनिरुद्ध यांच्यात सतत वाद होत होता. लता यांनी अनिरुद्ध याच्याविरुद्ध पोलिसांत छळाची तक्रार दिली होती. पोलिसांनी अनिरुद्धविरुद्ध छळाचा गुन्हा दाखल केला. गत अनेक वर्षांपासून लता या धीरज याच्यासह हुडकेश्वर भागात भाड्याने राहात होत्या. त्या खासगी काम करीत होत्या.
Nagpur : A woman police personnel filed a sexual assault case against a senior Anti-Corruption Bureau official in Nagpur on Tuesday, police said. A police inspector said that the woman constable filed a complaint against ACB Superintendent of Police PR Patil. The case was file under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code, he said.The inspector, however, refused to give further details of the complaint. Mr Patil could not be reached for comments till this story was published.
नागपूर : शहराच्या मध्यवर्ती ठिकाणी असलेल्या ब्रिटिशकालीन महाराजबाग प्राणिसंग्रहालयाच्या जागेवर अनेकांचा डोळा आहे. तत्कालीन आघाडी सरकारच्या काळात आणि विद्यमान भाजपसेना सरकारच्या कार्यकाळातही ही जागा घेण्यासाठी प्रयत्न झाले. त्यामुळे तर हे प्राणिसंग्रहालय बंद करण्यासाठी डाव रचण्यात आला नाही ना, अशी शंका आता व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
महाराजबाग प्राणिसंग्रहालय शहराच्या मध्यवर्ती सीताबर्डीजवळ आहे. शहरातून ते हलवण्यासाठी अनेक प्रयत्न यापूर्वीही झाले होते. काँग्रेसच्या कार्यकाळात याठिकाणी बुद्धिस्ट कन्वेन्शन केंद्र उभारण्याची मागणी करण्यात आली होती. विद्यमान सरकारने विकासाचे नाव पुढे करून ही जमीन संपादित करण्याचे प्रयत्न केले. त्यासाठी गोरेवाडा आंतरराष्ट्रीय प्राणिसंग्रहालयात ते समायोजन करण्याचा विचार विद्यमान सरकारने पुढे केला. मात्र वेळोवेळी नागरिकांनी आंदोलनाच्या माध्यमातून याला कडाडून विरोध केल्याने हा प्रस्ताव बारगळला. मात्र, विकास कामांसाठी कृषी विद्यापीठाच्या अखत्यारितील जागा हळूहळू घेण्यास सुरुवात झाली. शहराच्या विकासात हे प्राणिसंग्रहालय अडथळा ठरत असल्याचे चित्र निर्माण करण्यात आले. कृषी विद्यापीठाचा विरोध झुगारून त्यांची जमीन घेण्याचे प्रयत्न सुरू झाले.
मूळात प्राणिसंग्रहालय चालवणे हे कृषी विद्यापीठाचे काम नाही. राज्यातील प्राणिसंग्रहालय एकतर वनखाते किंवा महापालिकेच्या अखत्यारित आहे. महाराजबाग प्राणिसंग्रहालयाचा महसूल गेल्या काही वर्षांत ३५ लाख रुपयांवरून चार कोटी रुपयांवर गेला होता. तरीही प्राणिसंग्रहालय प्रशासनाने प्राधिकरणाने सुचवलेल्या दुरुस्त्यांकडे कानाडोळा केला. प्रशासनाने मनात आणले असते तर शहराच्या मध्यवर्ती ठिकाणावर असलेले हे लहानसे प्राणिसंग्रहालय चांगल्या पद्धतीने विकसित होऊ शकले असते. मात्र, प्राणिसंग्रहालय प्रशासनाच्या उदासीनतेमागे आणखी काही कारण तर नाही ना, अशीही शंका व्यक्त केली जात आहे. दरम्यान, केंद्रीय प्राणिसंग्रहालय प्राधिकरणाच्या या निर्णयामुळे वैदर्भीय प्रेक्षकांचे कमी वेळेत कमी खर्चात असलेले पर्यटन मात्र त्यांच्यापासून हिरावले जाणार आहे.

स्टेट बॅंक ऑफ इंडियाच्या (SBI) ग्राहकांसाठी खुशखबर आहे. आतापर्यंत तुम्ही फक्त 8 किंवा 10 वेळेस ATM वरून फ्री ट्रान्झॅक्शन करू शकत होता. पण- अट ठेवली आहे. या मोफत सुविधेचा लाभ घेण्यासाठी तुम्हाला तुमच्या खात्यात एक ठराविक रक्कम ठेवावी लागेल.
SBI कडून सांगण्यात आले आहे की, जे अकाउंट होल्डर 25,000 रुपये मंथली अॅव्हरेज बॅलेंस ठेवतील त्यांना स्टेट बँक ऑफ इंडिया ग्रुपच्या कोणत्याही ATM वरून दर महिन्याला 10 फ्री ट्रान्झॅक्शंसची सुविधा मिळतील. पण यासाठी काही अटी आहेत. जे ग्राहक 1 लाख रुपये किंवा त्यापेक्षा जास्त मंथली अॅव्हरेज बॅलेंस मेंटेन करतील त्यांच्यासाठी दूसऱ्या बँकेच्या ATM वरून अनलिमिटेड फ्री ट्रान्झॅक्शंस करता येईल.
जर तुम्ही SBI चे रेगुलर सेव्हिंग्स बँक अकाउंट होल्डर आहेत तर, महानगरात तुम्हाला 8 फ्री ATM ट्रान्झॅक्शंस दर महिन्याला करता येईल. यात 5 ट्रान्झॅक्शंस SBI ATM आणि 3 ट्रान्झॅक्शंस दुसऱ्या बँकेच्या ATM वरून करू शकता. नॉन-मेट्रो खाते धारकांसाठी ही लिमीट 10 फ्री ट्रान्झॅक्शंस (5 SBI आणि 5 इतर बँकेचे ATM ) दर महिना करता येईल.
नागपूर : स्वच्छ भारत अभियानांतर्गत स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण २०१९ दरम्यान लोकसहभाग वाढविण्याच्या दृष्टीने नागपूर महानगरपालिकेच्यावतीने धरमपेठ झोनअंतर्गत शंकर नगर येथील बास्केटबॉल मैदानात सोमवारी (ता. ३) स्वच्छता व कचरा विलगीकरणाबाबत जनजागृती कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.

स्वच्छ भारत अभियानांतर्गत स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षणादरम्यान मागील वेळी नागपूर शहराने क्रमवारीत मुसंडी मारली. आता क्रमवारीमध्ये सुधारणा करून बाजी मारण्याचे नागपूर महानगरपालिकेचा उद्देश आहे. यावेळी बोलताना स्वच्छता ॲम्बेसेडर कौस्तभ चॅटर्जी म्हणाले, आपल्या परिसराची, शहराची स्वच्छता राखताना कच-याची योग्य विल्हेवाट लावणे, त्यासाठी त्याचे योग्य विलगीकरण करणे गरजेचे आहे. कच-याची विल्हेवाट लावण्यापुर्वी त्याचे विलगीकरण करणे ही पहिली पायरी आहे. मात्र यामध्ये सातत्य असणे आवश्यक आहे. शहराची स्वच्छता राखताना कच-याच्या समस्येपासून सूटका मिळविण्यासाठी कच-याची योग्य विल्हेवाट आवश्यक आहे. मात्र या सर्व प्रक्रियेची नियमीत देखरेखही आवश्यक आहे, असेही स्वच्छता ॲम्बेसेडर कौस्तभ चॅटर्जी म्हणाले.
यावेळी ग्रीन व्हिजील फाऊंडेशनचे सुरभी जयस्वाल आणि मेहुल कोसुरकर यांनी स्वच्छता ॲप कसे डाऊनलोड करायचे याबाबत प्रात्यक्षिक करून दाखविले. उपस्थित सर्व नागरिकांनी स्वच्छता ॲप डाऊनलोड करावे व इतरांनाही करण्यास सांगावे, असे आवाहन केले.
Chinese brand Oppo’s big launch of Oppo R17 Pro will be held at an event today in Mumbai. The event is scheduled to kick off at 8pm and the company has been touting a triple camera setup on the phone with ultra-night mode that will apparently capture superior low light images. Besides that, there is Oppo’s patented Super VOOC charging technology feature on the R17 Pro, which will be available in India for first time ever.
This is a dual-SIM (Nano) handset that runs ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED on-cell panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 616 GPU, 6GB/ 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of inbuilt storage.
In the camera department, the Oppo R17 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture of f/1.5-2.4 and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor coupled with an LED flash. The third sensor is a TOF 3D stereo camera. On the front, the handset bears a 25-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. There is a 3,650mAh battery under the hood, with support for Oppo’s Super VOOC charging.
नागपूर : बारमध्ये झालेल्या वादातून युवकाने अन्य एका युवकावर चाकूने वार करून त्याला गंभीर जखमी केले. ही घटना त्रिमूर्तीनगरमधील भांगे लॉन परिसरात रविवारी मध्यरात्री घडली.
स्वप्नील श्रीकांत ठाकरे (वय २६),असे जखमी युवकाचे नाव आहे. तो खासगी काम करतो. प्रतापनगर पोलिसांनी अनोळखी युवकाविरुद्ध प्राणघातक हल्ल्याचा गुन्हा दाखल केला. पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, स्वप्नील व त्याचा मित्र अक्षय सुरेश लोथे (वय २६,रा.पोलिसनगर) दोघे प्रतापनगरमधील तन्मय बारमध्ये दारू पित होते. त्यांच्या टेबलाच्या बाजूला हल्लेखोर युवक साथीदारासह दारू पित होता. तो मोठमोठ्याने बोलत होता. स्वप्नीलने त्याला समजाविले. दोघांमध्ये वाद झाला. स्वप्नीलने थापड मारल्यामुळे युवक संतापला होता. रात्री १२.१५ वाजताच्या सुमारास अक्षय व स्वप्नील मोटरसायकलने जात होते. युवकाने स्वप्नीलला आवाज दिला. अक्षयने मोटरसायकल थांबविली. युवकाने स्वप्नीलच्या पाठीवर व मांडीवर चाकूने सपासप वार केले व पसार झाला.
घटनेची माहिती मिळताच प्रतापनगर पोलिसांचा ताफा तेथे पोहोचला. पोलिसांनी जखमी स्वप्नीलला मेडिकल कॉलेज हॉस्पिटलमध्ये दाखल केले. पोलिसांनी ठार मारण्याचा प्रयत्न केल्याचा गुन्हा दाखल करून हल्लेखोर युवकाचा शोध सुरू केला आहे.
Finally, the much-awaited song where Shah Rukh Khan shakes a leg with Salman Khan in Aanand L Rai’s Zero is out. Issaqbaazi has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Divya Kumar, as the voices of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan respectively. Irshad Kamil has written the song composed by Ajay-Atul. This is the second single released from the soundtrack after Mere Naam Tu.
The video shows the diminutive Bauua (Shah Rukh Khan), ecstatic after having been kissed on the lips by diva Babita Kumari (Katrina Kaif), land up in a dance-off against Salman Khan.
Salman Khan’s cameo references his real-life relationship with Kaif. He playfully discourages Bauua from pursuing the out-of-his-league Babita Kumari. His character sings that Babita Kumari loves him dearly (“Woh hum se prem gazab karti”) and is “adhoori” (incomplete) without him. Bauua retorts that he will take Babita Kumari away from Salman Khan for sure. Joining the two, in addition to a boisterous crowd, are choreographers Ganesh Acharya and Remo D’Souza.

नागपूर : उपराजधानीतील राजनगर येथील नॅशनल फायर सर्व्हिस कॉलेजमध्ये शिकणाऱ्या अठरावर्षीय विद्यार्थ्याने दिल्ली रेल्वेस्थानकावर रेल्वेखाली उडी घेत आत्महत्या केली.
नल्ली हेमंत कुमार (मूळ रा. विशाखापट्टणम) असे मृतकाचे नाव आहे. तणावातून त्याने आत्महत्या केल्याचे सांगण्यात येते. तो प्रथम वर्षाला शिकत होता. ३० नोव्हेंबरला नल्ली वसतिगृहातून बेपत्ता झाला. १ डिसेंबरला वसतिगृह प्रशासनाने मानकापूर पोलिस स्टेशनमध्ये तो बेपत्ता असल्याची तक्रार दिली. २ डिसेंबरला दिल्ली रेल्वेस्थानकावर एका युवकाचा कटलेला मृतदेह आढळला. त्याच्या पॅन्टच्या खिश्यात कॉलेजचे ओळखपत्र व नागपूर-दिल्लीचे रेल्वे तिकीट होते. त्यावरून दिल्ली लोहमार्ग पोलिसांनी त्याची ओळख पटवली. नागपूर पोलिसांना माहिती दिली.
आत्महत्येपूर्वी त्याने मित्र व नातेवाइकांनी लिहिलेली चिठ्ठी व्हॉट्सअॅप केली आहे. दबावामुळे आत्महत्या करीत असल्याचे त्याने लिहिले आहे. चिठ्ठी तेलुगू भाषेत असल्याने त्याने नेमके काय लिहिले, याचा तपास पोलिस करीत आहेत.
नागपूर : सरकारने दिव्यांग धोरण जाहीर केले आहे. या धोरणानुसार राज्यातील दिव्यांगाना आता ५ टक्के निधी राखीव ठेवण्यात येणार आहे. त्यासोबतच व्यवसायासाठीही दिव्यांगांना ५ टक्के आरक्षण देण्यात येणार आहे, अशी माहिती राज्याचे सामाजिक न्याय मंत्री राजकुमार बडोले यांनी सोमवारी दिली.
बडोले पुढे म्हणाले, की या धोरणामुळे राज्यातील तब्बल ४५ लाख दिव्यांगांना दिलासा मिळणार आहे. तसेच दिव्यांगांच्या गरजा लक्षात घेऊन त्यांच्यासाठी आयआयटी महाविद्यालयात शिक्षकांची नियुक्ती करण्यावर भर देण्यात येणार आहे. राज्यात ५ वर्षांखालील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी ‘डे केअर मॉडेल’ शाळा उभारण्याला प्राधान्य राहणार असल्याची माहितीही त्यांनी यावेळी दिली.
विविध शिक्षण प्रवाहातील पदव्युत्तर पाठ्यक्रमासोबतच विकास कार्य आयोजन करणारे स्वतंत्र दिव्यांगत्व अध्ययन केंद्र प्रत्येक विभागात स्थापन करण्यात येईल. तसेच एम.फिल आणि पीएचडीच्या शिक्षणासाठी दिव्यांगांना प्रोत्साहन देण्यात येईल. त्यांना वसतिगृहात ५ टक्के जागा राखीव ठेवण्यात येतील, असेही ते म्हणाले.

The couple that was in Jodhpur to revel in celebrations of their grand nuptials recently has met with trouble as it has been criticised by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India for hurting animals at their wedding ceremony reportedly.

As per reports, groom Nick entered the wedding venue atop a horse and the couple later took a tour of the Umaid Bhawan Palace while seated on an elephant.
PETA says that “elephants live in chains and horses are controlled with whips and spiked bits” to perform as needed at weddings and that their wedding “was not a happy day for animals”.
“Priyanka has been ill served by not being advised of the firestorm that would be caused by participating in animal abuse,” said PETA India CEO Manilal Valliyate.
Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday got a rousing welcome from people belonging to the Maratha community and otherwise as soon as he landed at Nagpur airport after the state government last week approved a 16% quota for the Marathas in education and job sectors.
The Maratha Reservation Bill was passed by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led state government on November 29, with support from the Shiv Sena, Congress, and the Nationalist Congress Party. The government, as a result, approved a 16 per cent reservation for the Maratha community in the education and job sectors in the state.
However, there will not be any reservation for Marathas who contest local body elections, unlike those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Furthermore, there would not be any reservation on educational qualifications that are required for government jobs.
The move has given Fadnavis, a non-Maratha chief minister of the state, a huge bonus as far as engaging the people in his state is concerned. However, this has resulted in a lot of questions being raised by people from other communities who have demanded a similar reservation.
There are fewer than 100 days until Captain Marvel hits theaters, and Disney is already in full advertising blitz mode, debuting a new trailer for the movie tonight.
This marks the second trailer Marvel Studios has released for the movie, which is set to be released only a couple of months before Avengers 4. The first trailer teased Carol Danvers’ (Brie Larson) powers as Captain Marvel, a superhero who returns to Earth after years away. Unlike other films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel is a prequel of sorts. It’s not an origin story, but it does take place years before the events of Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Incredible Hulk, and Thor.
Still, it’s safe to assume that some aspect of Captain Marvel will incorporate the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The end of Infinity War found Nick Fury sending out an urgent page to Captain Marvel following Thanos’ devastating snap, which erased half the universe’s population. Captain Marvel may be the only superhero left, alongside the original Avengers, who can help destroy Thanos once and for all.
Captain Marvel will be released on March 8th, 2019.

Pope Francis on Monday appointed a bishop in the Indian Archdiocese of Nagpur. The Pope transferred Bishop Elias Joseph Gonsalves of Amravati to Nagpur Archdiocese, both in Maharashtra state.
The See of Nagpur has been vacant following the death of Archbishop Abrahan Viruthakulangara on April 19, 2018.
Born in Chulna village, Maharashtra, on July 4, 1961, Bishop Gonsalves studied at St. Xavier’s High School, Manickpur. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in History and Economics from the University of Bombay in 1982, he joined St. Pius X College, Goregaon, Mumbai and was ordained priest on April 1, 1990 in Vasai, for the Archdiocese of Bombay.
Bishop Gonsalves specialized in Community Based Development and Leadership from St. Francis Xavier University, Coady Institute, Canada, and did studies in Counselling. As a priest he was engaged in various capacities in parishes, youth ministry, social work and education.
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Amravati on 11th July 2012 and he was consecrated bishop on 29th September, that year.

नागपूर : मध्यवर्ती नागपूर रेल्वेस्थानक आणि लोखंडी पुलाजवळ होणारी वाहतूक कोंडी फोडण्यासाठी मानस चौक ते जयस्तभ या दरम्यान सात पदरी रस्ता बांधण्यात येणार असून त्यासाठी सध्या अस्तित्वात असलेल्या रेल्वेस्थानकापुढील उड्डाण पुलासोबतच लोखंडी पुलाजवळील मंदिर आणि चौकातील पुतळा हटवावा लागेल, असा अहवाल यासंदर्भात अभ्यास करणारी कंपनी ‘इनिया’ ने महामेट्रोला दिला आहे. हा अहवाल व्हीएनआयटीकडे अंतिम अभिप्रायासाठी पाठवण्यात आला आहे.
जयस्तंभ ते मानस चौकदरम्यान वाहतूक सुरळीत करण्यासाठी काही वर्षांपूर्वी महापालिकेने रेल्वेस्थानकापुढे उड्डाण पूल बांधला होता, परंतु यामुळे वाहतूक कोंडी सुटण्याऐवजी त्यात भरच पडली आहे. विभागीय रेल्वे व्यवस्थापक कार्यालयासमोरील जयस्तंभ चौक आणि लोखंडी पुलाजवळील मानस चौकात दररोज सायंकाळी पाच ते सातच्या दरम्यान वाहतूक कोंडी होते. त्यामुळे आता महापालिकेने हा पूल तोडण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. हे काम महामेट्रोला देण्यात आले आहे. महामेट्रोने यासंदर्भातील अभ्यास करण्याचे काम इनिया कंपनीला दिले. कंपनीने त्यांचा अहवाल नुकताच सादर केला असून उड्डाण पूल तोडण्यासोबतच लोखंडी पुलाजवळील मंदिरही आणि चौकातील पुतळा हटवण्याची शिफारस केली आहे.
रस्त्यांच्या मधोमध पुतळा आणि मंदिरामुळे जुने मॉरिस कॉलेज तसेच कॉटन मार्केट चौकाकडून येणाऱ्या वाहनांना अडथळा होतो , असे व्हीएनआयटीच्या सूत्रांचे म्हणणे आहे.
रेल्वेस्थानकासमोरील उड्डाण पूल तोडून त्याऐवजी सहा पदरी रस्ता तयार करण्यात येत आहे. उड्डाणपुलाखाली १७५ दुकाने आहेत. त्यांचे पुनर्वसन करण्यासाठी मॉल उभारण्यात येत आहे. तसेच वाहनतळ बांधण्यात येणार आहे. यासाठी रेल्वेस्थानकाला लागून असलेल्या एसटीचे विभागीय कार्यालय आणि मध्यप्रदेश बसस्थानक तसेच मॉडेल स्कूलची जमीन संपादित करण्याचा प्रस्ताव आहे.
उच्च न्यायालयाच्या आदेशानंतर महापालिकेने शहरातील अनेक अनधिकृत धार्मिक स्थळांवर कारवाई केली. ३० जुलै २०१८ ला त्रिमूर्तीनगर येथील दत्त मंदिरावर महापालिकेचे अधिकारी अतिक्रमण विरोधी कारवाई करताना नगरसेवक प्रवीण दटके व संदीप जोशी यांनी अडथळा निर्माण केला. त्यांनी विरोध करून महापालिकेच्या अतिक्रमण विरोधी पथकाला परतवून लावले. महापालिकेचे पदाधिकारी असताना अशापद्धतीने कृत्य करणे कायद्याला अनुसरून नाही. त्यामुळे त्यांना अपात्र घोषित करण्यात यावे व त्यांना नगरसेवक पदाची जबाबदारी पार पाडण्यापासून रोखण्यात यावे, अशी विनंती करणारी याचिका नागरी हक्क संरक्षण मंचचे अध्यक्ष जनार्दन मून यांनी उच्च न्यायालयाच्या नागपूर खंडपीठात दाखल केली. त्यावर लवकर सुनावणी होण्याची शक्यता आहे.
रामझुल्यावरून येणारी वाहने मानस चौकाऐवजी थेट कस्तुरचंद पार्कजवळच्या चौकापर्यंत नेण्याची शिफारस केली आहे. यामुळे जयस्तंभ चौकातील वाहतूक सुरळीत होऊ शकेल, असे कंपनीचे म्हणणे आहे.
