Nagpur: Nagpur district experienced a dramatic rise in COVID cases Sunday, with 72 people testing positive for novel coronavirus increasing the number of active cases for the entire district up to 329.
Of the of 72 instances, only 42 identified of them coming from Nagpur city. In addition, Nagpur rural is continuing to see the number of daily cases that are in the double-digits. The rural region has recorded on Friday 28 new cases as well as two cases that were outside the city boundaries. There was no death reported in the last 24 hours.
The number of positive cases is 5,784,414 and the number of deaths is 10,338. The number of patients treated has been put at 5,67747. The recovery rate for the district is 98.21 percent. In addition, 40 people were cured of the deadly disease on the Sunday.
Due to the rapid increase in cases, the government has urged the public to adhere to the COVID-19 protocol on their own.
