Nagpur: Vidarbha will be hit by the Southwest Monsoon in the next 48 hours if conditions favor its development, according to an Indian Meteorological Department press release. According to the weather department’s prediction, Nagpur must wait for monsoon to arrive for at least two more days.
On Wednesday, Nagpur saw light rains and thunderstorms that reduced the day’s temperature to 38.0 degrees Celsius. The weather was pleasant because of the cloudy skies. The city received 5 mm of rainfall from 5.30 to 6.30 pm. Vidarbha will see monsoon 1-2 days prior to Nagpur.
Gondia had 13 mm of rainfall on Wednesday, making it the most rainy region in Vidarbha. Bramhapuri also saw 5 mm of rainfall. Bramhapuri and Chandrapur recorded 40.0 degrees Celsius, respectively. Other places such as Akola (38.3° Celsius), Amravati (36.2° Celsius), Buldhana (36.2° Celsius), Gadchiroli (38.0° Celsius), Nagpur (38.0° Celsius), Wardha (38.5° Celsius), Washim (36.5° Celsius), Yavatmal (38.5° Celsius) also recorded temperatures below 40 degrees.
On Wednesday, Nagpur had 95% relative humidity. While Wardha (64%), Bramhapuri (79%), Gadchiroli (60%), Gondia (89%), and Amravati (65%) all recorded relative humidity levels above 60%, As the minimum temperatures were above 26 degrees Celsius, there were no significant changes in Vidarbha.
