NDHTA to hold five tennis tournaments in Nagpur from October

NAGPUR : The Nagpur District Hardcourt Tennis Association(NDHTA) is planning to host five major tennis tournaments in the city from October to December.

NDHTA secretary and newly- elected treasurer of Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) Sudhir Bhiwapurkar said, “the overwhelming success to Khasdar Krida Mahotsav tennis tournament has prompted us to organize maximum tournaments in the city.”

“Nowadays young boys and girls are attracting towards this game and we are aiming to provide them a platform to showcase their talent,” he said.

The season will start with MSLTA-Yonex Sunrise NDHTA All India Ranking Championship Series for U-12 boys and girl from October 13 to 15 followed by MSLTA-Dinshaw’s State Ranking tennis tournament for U-10 boys and girls from October 20 to 22.

The city will host MSLTA Dinshaw’s state ranking tennis tournament, managed by Practennis Academy for U-10 boys and girls from November 10 to 12. The three-day tourney will be followed by MSLTA-Yonex Sunsire NDHTA All India Ranking Championship Series for U-14 boys and girls from November 24 to 26.

From December 22 to 24, NDHTA will organise Yonex Sunrise NDHTA All India Ranking Championship Series for U-16 boys and girls.
