According to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, travellers will only need to travel eight hours to get from Nagpur to Pune. The Nagpur-Mumbai Samridhi Mahamarg would be connected to the newly projected Pune-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) Access Control Green Expressway at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in order to alleviate the current hassle that travellers have when travelling from Nagpur to Pune.
Gadkari, the minister of roads, transport, and highways, stated in a series of tweets that NHAI will take up the construction of this road with a completely different alignment.
This will allow travellers to travel through Samruddhi Mahamarg from Pune to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) in two and a half hours and from Nagpur to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) in five and a half hours, according to the minister.
