Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can be pre-booked in India starting today

Date:

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is finally official. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer launched its most anticipated smartphone of the year — the Galaxy Note 9 — at the Unpacked event in New York last night.

The question now is, when will Samsung bring the Note 9 to India? Samsung has announced that in India the Note 9 will go on sale in the next three weeks, in other words, in the last week of this August. However, a new Flipkart teaser now reveals that the pre-orders for the phone will begin today at 2PM during the Flipkart Big Freedom Day sale.

The India price of the Galaxy Note 9 is yet to be revealed by Samsung. But considering the price of the global variants, in India, the price of the Note 9 is expected to be around Rs 70,000 approx. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 9 in two RAM options — 6GB and 8GB. The base model starts at a price tag of $1,000, while the top-end model with 512GB of internal storage comes at $1,250.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 9 SPECS
In many ways, the Galaxy Note 9 is like the Galaxy S9+. The Note 9 sports a 6.4-inch QHD+ display with 2960×1440 pixels resolution. Apparently, the Note 9 by default comes with a FullHD+ resolution, but one can switch to QHD+ by changing the settings. YouTube, on Thursday, announced a Signature Device list, in other words, the best-in-class phone to watch YouTube videos, and Note 9 is one of the 19 devices.

The Galaxy Note 9 can handle heavy gaming sessions extremely well, claims Samsung. In the U.S and many European countries, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will come packed with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor that is also found in all the recently launched flagships. But it is noteworthy that in India and South Korea and also some other Asian and European countries, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be powered by its own Exynos 9810 processor, much like what happened with the Note 9.

The Note 9 comes in two RAM – 6GB and 8GB and also two storage models – 128GB and 512GB. There’s also a support for a microSD card to expand storage memory. The Note 9 comes with dual cameras on the rear panel with two 12-megapixel primary and secondary sensors. On the front, it comes with an 8-megapixel lens with f1.7 aperture. The phone runs Android 8 Oreo OS that has been modified by Samsung. It is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery – that is bigger than any Note device ever. Note 9 also support fast charging.
