Prof. Nageshwar Rao, a renowned Professor of Management and who served as Vice Chancellor of various universities earlier has been appointed by the President of India as Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi.
He joined today at IGNOU New Delhi. He worked as Professor of Management at various universities like University of Allahabad, Banaras Hindu University, Vikram University, Ujjain for more than 26 years. He had more than 170 Research Papers published, 37 Ph.Ds awarded under his guidance and 8 popular books published.
He was Vice Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad (2008 to 2011). He was also Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University (2016 to 2018) and Incharge Vice Chancellor of IGNOU (2014 to 2016). Besides, he was Pro-Vice Chancellor of IGNOU during (2013-2014). He was presented with several awards. With rich experience in Management and Open University system, he will give a new direction to IGNOU, the premier distance education Institute in the Country.
