Nagpur : Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule urged the administration to ensure that benefit of fixed income scheme meant for farmers reaches all the needy. He was speaking after launching the Central Government-sponsored Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana in Nagpur District.
The programme was held at Bachat Bhawan at District Collectorate. District Collector Aswhin Mudgal, Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Fadke, Deputy Collector Sujata Gandhe, Resident Deputy Collector Ravindra Khajanchi, District Agriculture Officer S Tasre and Tehsildar Mohan Tikle also were present on the occasion.
Bawankule said that the list of beneficiary farmers is prepared in a very short time by Agriculture Wing of Collectorate and Zilla Parishad for launch of the Yojana. The money will be directly transferred to accounts of farmers and the Minister urged former to make judicious use of money and trying to take more production and curtail the expenditure. The scheme is meant to ensure that farmers can lead a respectful life and Government is committed for the same.
As per the list prepared by Collectorate, the eligible farmers number is around 3,44,,111 and farmers having farm land upto 2 Ha numbers 2,43,270.
On the occasion, Bawankule felicitated ten farmers who are beneficiaries of the schemes. This included Pundlik More, Jagdish Kapade, Sudhakar Sontakke, Vijay Timane, all from village Satnavari; Rahul Thool from Waranga, Krishna Borkar from Ghoti, Sanghamitra Wairagade from Parsodi (Gokhale), Sunil Koneke from Mahadula and Arvind Bhanare from Bilgaon, Harshal Agarkar.
Maharashtra Government has agreed to implement Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana in State from December 1, 2019, onwards. As per the scheme, a family unit comprising husband-wife plus children below 18-years of age, and having land holding upto 2 Ha would be eligible for benefit upto Rs. 2,000/week and each year upto Rs. 6,000 in three installments. The first installment of the scheme would be credited in farmers account by March 31. List of eligible farmers is being prepared village wise having details including each farmers should provide details about his name, category, Aaadhar number, bank account details, IFSC code, Mobile number and date of birth plus house address. Government has set up committees at State, District, Taluka and Village level to monitor implementation of the scheme. DAO S Tasre proposed a vote of thanks.
