“DMIHER Achieves Global Milestone: Debut Performance in Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025”
Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER – DU) celebrates a landmark achievement with its debut in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025, showcasing its dedication to global academic standards. On the global front, DMIHER (DU) has been ranked in the band of 1001-1200 in the overall category, 618th in medicine and dentistry and 773rd in the other health category. At the National level, DMIHER is ranked 12th in the Medicine and Dentistry category, 20th in other health category and 45th in the overall category. The best-performing metric is of ‘Research Quality’, a testimony to the University’s quality and impactful research. This year, Times Higher Education (THE) ranked over 2867 institutions from 115 countries and territories. A total of 133 Universities have been ranked as compared to the previous year of 122 Indian Universities. THE World University Rankings 2025, recognised as the world’s most comprehensive evaluation of university performance, is based on five key areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook which includes 18 carefully calibrated indicators to assess higher education institutions across the globe.
Considering this as a maiden participation in the world’s most prestigious ranking, DMIHER’s performance is creditable in research and academics alike. Nationally, DMIHER has been featured remarkably well in ‘International Outlook’, an initiative so categorically captured and aligned to NEP 2020 vision regarding the ‘Internationalisation’ of Indian Universities.
