Nagpur : With the aim of promoting unity among citizens and to pay tributes to former deputy prime minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary, a ‘Run for unity’ was organized from Samvidhan Chowk on Wednesday morning.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari flagged off the race on Wednesday morning at Samvidhan Square. He also distributed trophies among the victorious on this occasion.
People of all age groups, from youngsters to senior citizens, participated in the rally with enthusiasm to promote unity.
Mayor Nanda Zichkar, Deputy mayor Deepraj Pardikar , Standing committee chairman Virendra Kukreja, Sandeep Joshi along with all the MLAs and corporators of the city were seen on this occasion.
