Mumbai: MNS chief Raj Thackeray said that Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s leadership has been accepted at the national level and party’s win in the state assembly elections is a proof.
Rahul Gandhi was alone in Gujarat, even in Karnataka and now too. Now Pappu has become ‘Param Pujya’, Thackeray further added.
Meanwhile, the NCP attributed the BJP’s performance in five state Assembly polls particularly in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, to its “arrogance” and said it portended “farewell” of the NDA pivot in 2019 general elections.
Pawar also added that this defeat is a testimony to the fact that people do not believe in communal forces and they want peace and progress. The saffron party was defeated in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and appeared to fall short of the majority in Madhya Pradesh. This defeat comes as a major blow for the saffron party ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections and has boosted the prospects for the Opposition which is planning to erect a rainbow coalition of all the regional parties to counter the BJP in 2019.
