Nokia 6.1 Plus set to Launch in India on August 21

HMD Global is all set to launch the new Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone in India on August 21. Ahead of its official launch, the company has slashed the prices for Nokia 6.1 device which was launched in the country earlier this year in April.

The Finish company introduced the 3GB variant of the smartphone at Rs 16,999 whereas the 4GB option was added to the lineup later at Rs. 18,999. With a price of Rs. 1500 on both the versions, the new smaller variant (3GB RAM) is now retailed at Rs. 15,499, and the 4GB version is priced at Rs. 17,499 respectively. The company is retailing both the handsets with slashed prices via online platforms across India.

Nokia 6.1 Plus specifications

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nokia 6.1 handset comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, up to 4GB RAM, up to 64GB ROM, 3000mAh battery, Android Oreo and much more. The company is also offering flat 25 per cent instant discount on MakeMyTrip along with Rs 2000 cashback from Airtel. Moreover, no-cost EMI option and free Airtel TV is also on offer till December 31, 2018, with the purchase of Nokia 6.1 smartphone.

On the other hand, the upcoming Nokia 6.1 Plus is expected to come with a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2280 resolution and aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that will be expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.

For optics, the smartphone will carry dual camera module at the rear featuring 16MP primary and 5MP secondary sensors with LED flash. Upfront, the smartphone will be fitted with a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calling. As far as the prices are concerned, the company will be looking to keep the costs for Nokia 6.1 Plus competitive. We speculate that the smartphone could be priced under Rs. 20,000.
