NIHAR, Pragati, Priyanka John, Domla, Pratibha bags gold medals

NIHAR, Pragati, Priyanka John, Domla, Pratibha, Nisha, Anjali, Vedanti, Madhuri, Preeti, Akanksha Thakur, Tasring, Anshu, Zeon and Onisengkom won gold medals in the 15th Maharashtra Sports Aerobics, Fitness and Hiptop Championship that concluded the other day. All the gold medal winning players are students of Shri Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal (HVPM) and they did their institution proud by winning a bagful of medals in the competition that was held at Shri Rashtrasant Janardhan Ashram, Tapovan Panchwati in Nashik.

In the competition the students won gold medal in senior categories in the following events — fitness aerobics step, aerobics and hiptop. Those students who won gold medal include Nihar, Pragati, Priyanka John, Domla, Pratibha, Nisha, Anjali, Vedanti, Madhuri, Preeti, Akanksha Thakur, Tasring, Anshu, Zeon and Onisengkom. The students were also selected for the All India National Sports Aerobics Fitness and Hiptop Championship which is going to be held in Goa. The students were coached by Secretary of HVPM Dr Madhuri Chendke and coach Pallavi Chikhalkar.

Chief Secretary of HVPM Padmashree Prabhakarrao Vaidya, Treasurer Dr Suresh Deshpande, Working President Dr Ramesh Godbole, Secretary Dr Madhuri Chendke, Department of Physical Education Principal Dr KK Debnath, coach Chikhalkar, Ashish Hatewar and others congratulated all the medal winners and wished them luck for the national level meet.
