Nagpur The Nagpur Rural Police came first in the “Dial 112” initiative across the state with a responding time of 7.58 minutes during May, and 9 minutes throughout April of this year.
The project , which was initiated in government officials from the Maharashtra Government enabled the Nagpur Rural Police to respond rapidly to 1076 callers in May, and reach the afflicted people in just 7.58 minutes in the month of May 2022.
In April 2022 in 2022, The Rural Police received 923 distress calls, and the response time was 9 minutes. This project, based on technology, ensures that the response time of police officers increases to 10 minutes in urban areas, and 15 minutes for rural areas. But, Dr. Vijaykumar Magar, Superintendent of Police (SP), Nagpur (Rural) was the driving force and energy to the project. He collaborated with various parties and was the leader of the team in achieving the ultimate goal.
In the Dial 112 project, state-of-the-art control rooms were established in all police commissionerates in the 45 and district police stations. SP Magar appreciated the work performed by API Prashant Labhane, PSI Sandeep Sadmeke and 25 others involved in the project, by awarding them flowers and certificates.
