Breaking a multi-year record, MOIL has registered best December production of 141,321 tonnes in December,2022. Producing at its rated capacity level, production increase has been to an extent of 18 percent over November, 2022.
Sales at 1,64,235 tonnes for the month has also been spectacular, with a growth of around 91 percent over November, 2022.

About &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan track, Daroga Happu Singh, shares, “Manohar and Daroga Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi) make omelets after taking eggs from Commissioner’s basket as they feel hungry. He later informs them that the eggs were laid by a snake (Naagin), which shocks them. The Naagin begins to haunt Happu for eating her eggs. She also tells him that she will kill Rajesh (Kamna Pathak) and eat his kids (Hritik, Ranbir, and Chamchi), making him feel stressed. Happu begins to hallucinate and sees Naagin everywhere. The twist comes when Karishma sees Happu having a conversation with the Naagin and informs Rajesh and Katori Amma, who think that he is having an affair with her.” About &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, Angoori Bhabi shares, “Saxena (Saanand Verma) adopts a stray dog and names him, Rocky. He brings Rocky for a New Year’s Eve party at Anita’s (Vidisha Srivastava’s) house. At the party, Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) and Vibuti (Aasif Sheikh) mock Saxena for his poor singing skills. Rocky feels sorry for his owner and decides to take revenge. He starts barking and chasing Tiwari and Vibhuti the next day. Anita requests Saxena to help and save them, but Rocky gets out of control. Later, Prem (Vishwajeet Soni) brings his dog, Deewani, and Rocky is mesmerized by her sight. Looking at this, Saxena gets an idea and tells Tiwari and Vibhuti to get Rocky married to Deewani and do kanyadaan.”

The Maharashtra Mini Olympics is being organized in the state from 1st to 12th January 2023 and this competition is being held including 39 sports. Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Balewadi Pune, Puna Club, AMI Gorpadi in Baramati Taluka of District and other districts in the state at Nagpur, Nashik, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Mumbai.
Badminton, handball, netball, and Sepak Tekra are four sports competitions that have been organized in the district. It is necessary to create an atmosphere in the entire state for organizing this competition. In the presence of Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar from Nagpur and District Superintendent of Police Vishal Anand, a grand Krida Jyot rally has been organized on December 30 at 8.30 am.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the examination schedule for Classes 10 and 12. The board exams for both classes will start from February 15, 2023.
Releasing the date sheets, the board said it has given a sufficient gap between two subjects generally offered by a student in both classes.
Competitive examinations, including JEE Main, have been taken care of while preparing the date sheet for Class XII.
The board said that the date sheets have been prepared by avoiding nearly 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subject examinations of students fall at the same time.

On Tuesday the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee — under outgoing chief Chetan Sharma announced — India’s squads for the white-ball home series versus Sri Lanka, which gets underway next year on January 03 in Mumbai.
As expected, Hardik Pandya has once again been named as the captain of the T201 squad with no big guns available whereas Rohit Sharma will return to take charge of the ODI line-up after his thumb injury during the Bangladesh tour. Hardik has also been promoted as the new ODI vice-captain (despite KL Rahul’s presence).
Some of the notable factors from the T201 line-up is that Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the vice-captain, which doesn’t include the likes of Rahul, Rishabh Pant, etc. Meanwhile, it is a young squad including the likes of Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, Umran Malik, Mukesh Kumar (recently bought by Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 mini-auction for INR 5 crores), etc. It gives one a sneak peek of the selectors’ mindset keeping in view the next edition of the T20 World Cup, in West Indies and USA, in 2024.
Talking about the ODI squad, Pant remains absent from it as well. Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also not part of both squads. The biggest omission is Shikhar Dhawan, who has struggled for runs and has seen a sharp decline in his strike rate amid rising stocks of Kishan and Gill. Meanwhile, Md Shami also returned whereas the likes of Rahul and Kohli will feature straightaway in the 50-over series. There’s no mention of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja as the duo are expected to return for theNew Zealand white-ball series at home.

The state excise department on Friday issued a notification extending the timings of the wine shops till 1 am from 10.30 pm on December 24 and 25 and also on December 31. Further, the government has also increased the timings of the permit rooms up to 5 am from 1.30 am on these three days.
The decision was taken as the demand increases for liquor on these days for celebrations.

Nagpur city to witness traffic diversions at Rajendra Nagar Chowk till Januray 16, 2023
The main gutter line work is proposed from Rajendra Nagar Chowk to Nandanvan slum to Naganadi. Traffic restrictions are mandatory at the mentioned stretch for the quick completion of the work. Closure of the one-way road for traffic in Rajendra Nagar Chowk was ordered by Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner, and Administrator.
Traffic on the side road will be left two-way or other traffic on the under the road will be diverted. The order says it will be effective from January 2, 2023, to January 16, 2023.
Radhakrishnan B has ordered to put up sign boards at prominent paces on both sides of the road for the convenience of the citizens and to stop the traffic on the road with the help of cables or poles and other means of communication to stop and control the traffic. Appropriate and necessary detours should be put up.
The Commissioner’s order has also mentioned that action should be taken to construct the site, to provide such viable facilities for the convenience of the citizens living on both sides of the roads. The commissioner has ordered to completion of the work within the prescribed time limit.
Also, notice boards and work start/completion date boards should be installed at the workplace. Traffic security guards or volunteers should be allotted as and where required at the alternative route starting points. Traffic guards, Traffic sign Boards, Cones, Barricades, Ropes, Reflective Jackets, and LA.D Provides resources such as battens, brickers, etc should be made available.
After the work will start, special arrangements should be made for the raw material that is being used such as soil, ballast, paver block, etc should not be left on the road which might create a root slip and obstruct the traffic. After the work, during the said construction, the potholes on the alternative route should be filled up and the road will be repaired by cementing.
Detailed boards should be put up at the site of the work containing and explaining the alternative route. The order mentions that LED diversion boards should be installed to inform motorists at night. LAD must be garlanded on the barricades.
Fresh guidelines for International travelers amid COVID surge
The health ministry issued new instructions amid resurgent concerns over the virus, recommending that all travellers arriving in India be fully immunised in accordance with the primary schedule of immunisation against Covid-19 that has been recommended in their nation. Covid-19 infections have increased alarmingly in China, raising new worries about the virus.
The new regulations require that any passenger who exhibits Covid-19 symptoms while travelling be segregated in accordance with accepted protocol. It further stated that the aforementioned individual should wear a mask, be isolated and segregated from other passengers during the flight, and then be transferred to an isolation centre for further treatment.
Upon arrival, de-boarding should be done ensuring proper physical distancing, the health ministry said.
Everyone should be subjected to thermal screening by health officials present at the point of entry, it said, adding that passengers found to be symptomatic during screening must be immediately isolated and taken to a designated medical facility as per health protocol.
Two per cent of the total passengers in the flight must undergo random post-arrival testing at airports and such travellers in each flight will be identified by the airlines concerned, preferably from different countries, it said. They will be allowed to leave the airport after submitting their samples.
If samples return positive for the virus, they will be further sent for genomic testing at the INSACOG laboratory network. The affected fliers will be treated as per standard protocol.
All travellers should self-monitor their health on arrival and report to their nearest health facility or call the national or state helpline numbers in case they show any symptoms.
Children under 12 are exempted from post-arrival random testing. However, if found symptomatic with Covid-19 on arrival or during the self-monitoring period, they will be tested and treated as per protocol.

A 43-year-old male was referred with a history of suspected aspiration of foreign body. The patient, a resident of Mumbai, experienced a sharp pain in his throat during an afternoon meal. As per his history, a fishbone was suspected to be stuck in his throat. Family members tried innumerable home remedies but to no avail. An emergency Bronchoscopy was planned in the evening. “As the patient was unwilling to undergo General Anesthesia we approached with a Flexible Bronchoscope via the nasal route. After screening the oropharynx and trachea we were unable to locate any foreign body. It was after extensive searching, that we could locate the abnormality – a long slender colourless needle-like structure which was impacted behind the root of the tongue anatomically called the Vallecula. Biopsy Forceps were used to grasp and remove the foreign body, finally identified as a fish bone. The patient was discharged within an hour much to the relief of his anxious family members.” – Dr Sameer Arbat, Interventional Pulmonologist. The procedure was successfully performed at Wockhardt Hospitals with the support of Anaesthetist Dr Avantika Jaiswal.

Gluten-free almond cake
Serves: 4
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Baking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
Almond Powder – 350 g
Egg (Separated) – 200 g
Honey – 100 g
Baking Soda – 10g
Vanilla Essence – 10 g
Salt – 5 g
Honey – 20 g
Sliced almonds – 50 g
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C. Coat a 9-inch pan with Butter and flour. Line the bottom with parchment paper. Beat 4 egg yolks, 100g honey, vanilla, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined. Add the almond powder and beat on low until combined. Then, beat 4 egg whites in another large bowl with the electric mixer on medium speed until very foamy, but not stiff enough to hold peaks. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold the egg whites into the nut mixture until just combined. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake the cake until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Run a knife around the edge of the pan and gently remove the side ring. Let cool completely. Carefully transfer the cake to a serving platter. To serve, drizzle the top of the cake with honey and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Tip: Make sure that the almonds are toasted a little before you make a powder and there is absolutely no moisture in the grinder jar to avoid any lumps in the cake
