Nagpur : In a suspected case of murder, a city transporter’s semi-decomposed body was found under the jurisdiction of Kondhali Police Station on Sunday. The body of Bhupendra Singh Manjit Singh Makan alias Bobby Sardar (46), a resident of Dixit Nagar, was found in a nullah at Kathalabodi village. Bobby was missing since last four days and his wife had reported the matter to Jaripatka Police Station. Even as cops were sitting tight, news came about finding of Bobby’s body that sent ripples through the City Police administration. Now, the cops are investigating the case on murder angle suspecting it to be a fall out of old rivalry or a property dispute.

A passer-by noticed the body lying near a bridge and alerted the police in the morning hours. The spot is about five kms from the Nagpur-Amravati Highway. Staff of Kondhali Police Station rushed to the spot. As the police did not find anything at the spot to ascertain identity of the deceased, they sent pictures of the body to the city police which identified him as Bobby Sardar. The police sent the body to GMCH for post-mortem. The family members approached Jaripatka Police and lodged a missing complaint. Sources informed that the Bobby’s wife had revealed the name of a gangster suspecting latter could have abducted Bobby. However, Jaripatka Police took the matter lightly and did not try to go after the gangster named by Bobby’s wife and chose to register missing case. The Innova car of Bobby was recovered by the police from Jaripatka area on Saturday. After observing the swelled body, the police came to a conclusion that that he might have been eliminated 48 hours ago. “As there was no injury marks on his body, it’s difficult to ascertained reasons of death,” said S P Ola.

The Rural Police have started checking CCTV footages of the roads connecting to the spot. Bobby was heading the firm DTC Transport and was having office at Automotive Chowk. He was also involved in property dealing, Kerosene business and sources said was also involved in cricket betting.
