MSRTC Extends Last Date For Smart Cards Till August 31

Date:

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRTC) has extended the deadline to make smart cards until August 31st to ease seniors’ Pandharpur pilgrimage for Ashadhi Ekadashi.

MSRTC offers concessions on bus tickets for seniors who are citizens. They have made smart cards compulsory for everyone who wants to enjoy the benefits. In May 30th 2022, the government extended the deadline to obtain smart cards until June 30, 2022. However, many of the senior citizens are still waiting to get the smart card. With the increasing inconvenient the challenges senior citizens may encounter in the Pandharpur journey during the ashadhi ekadashi dates, MSRTC has given two more months of extended time to the elderly. Senior citizens now have to wait until August 31.
